Experiencia fantástica: The staff at companion care are so wonderful and caring. They know my dogs Gus and Ink by heart, and ALWAYS do what they can to squeeze them in when it's an emergency. Christi and Jocelyn is always so kind, cheerful, and helpful answering my calls, greeting me at the front desk, and helping me check out. Every single vet tech, assistant and vet are knowledgeable, compassionate, and true animal lovers (even when Gus if trying to bite their fingers off). I highly recommend bringing your fur babies here!

Experiencia fantástica: Never the best circumstance to meet for the first time when your cat is very sick. My boy was up there in age, and we had a huge history with our feline. They were extremely compassionate, and gave us options, and made my cat feel very comfortable in his final stage of life. I see a couple of negative reviews, and I just didn’t have that kind of experience. They were compassionate but extremely direct in the sense of quality of life after any treatment or attempt of it. With that information at hand. My wife and I were able to make a decision best for our animal, and not ourselves. We appreciate you, thank you for helping us with our Boogie.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my pet to Companion Care as she had to be put down secondary to a sudden neurologic condition. They worked me in. The staff were very kind and Dr. P. helped me make the right decision as I am a physician myself and had doubts. They were very compassionate in such a difficult time.

Experiencia fantástica: Finding and trusting a new veterinary office is as stressful for people as it is the pets, right? I am so grateful for CCPH! Everyone there has been so helpful and caring with our Bernedoodle, Mowgli. He is a large breed dog and has a lot of nervous energy by the time we get to the office. But they are always super kind and loving to him. The receptionist, Christi, is very efficient and warm. And from her to the techs, to the doctors, there is no drop off in service. If you’re looking for a new vet or have a new pet, THIS is the place to go. It is a bit of a drive for us. But it is 100% worth it. We are thankful that we found such a wonderful care partner for our buddy.

Experiencia negativa: I want to start off by saying I want to be fair with this review. The front staff are very kind and helpful. They have worked with me time and time again to get my dog in on last minute visits on multiple occasions and credit is given where credit is due. HOWEVER: back in April, I rushed our Weim to this hospital. He overall was not doing well, and had a dangerously high fever. They very much saved his life then. They got us the diagnosis he needed. Dr. P admitted she had not worked with many dogs who have his condition which was confirmed by herself, radiologist studies, and othopedics specialist review. When Dr. P wasn’t certain of a treatment plan moving forward she referred us out to blue pearl specialists of East Orlando in May. We consulted with the specialist who then sent her findings back to this office in May. This is important to note. May of 2023. We began a carefully vaccinating our boy between May and now, Dr. P has seen us multiple times between May and now. Our dog has HOD, if you don’t know what it is- consider yourself lucky. Our specialist recommended we follow through treating our dog with steroids, should he have a flare in the future. Our specialist sent the most recent and breed specific research available to this office with her recommendations to keep on file. On 9/20/2023 Riku relapsed, and began to flare. Overnight his fever shot up and we got him in next day to be hospitalized on fluids, and steroids thanks to the floating vet who was in that day. She followed our specialists directions. Things took a turn for the worst when we went for our recheck a week later with Dr. P, who was not happy that Riku was on steroids but he was on them so there wasn’t anything she could do because you can’t just stop taking them. At the recheck Riku was doing much better, she recommended we could do a 5 day taper or keep the 7 day taper schedule on my discretion. I kept the 7, as Riku has a auto inflammatory disease- he would need more time than a healthy dog to recouperate. A few days later when we dropped down to giving Riku prednisone once a day Riku was showing signs of being in immense pain, and I could not touch him without him screaming and trying to bite me. I called the office, to let Dr. P know, and instead of recognizing he was suffering from his current flare she prescribed him some Gabpentin for his pain- when what he really needed was to continue his prednisone. The next day he could not get up on his own without assistance, the gabapentin was doing absolutely nothing for him. By Thursday 10/5 he was unable to walk. I called at 4 pm that day to let her know and she stated he needed fluids that they couldn’t give him. We rushed him to VEC, where they gave him additional pain meds and sent us home. The next morning I followed up with Dr. P, and explained that the opioids he was given didn’t help, his fever was spiking and he needed to be hospitalized, yet again. They got his fever under control, and gave him more opioids, and we were prescribed a fentanyl patch to allievite his pain. No one told us that the medication he was injected with, would actually prevent the fentanyl from working until that medication cleared his system. Saturday 10/6 we went back as again his pain was absolutely intolerable, so they removed his patch and gave him another injectable opioid. We were informed he had “some” blood in his stool which I wasn’t aware of because he hadn’t been up and moving -he hadn’t used the bathroom that day yet. That afternoon, we discovered Riku had a GI bleed, the only new meds administered in that 48 hour period were by this office. We rushed him yet again to the ER. Our ER vet determined the bleed was caused by the antibiotics he was given, and by the grace of god- she had first hand experience with HOD dogs, and quickly administered the steroids he needed. Riku is mobile again, no thanks to this office. We will not be returning. You had 5 months to tell me you didn’t agree with our specialist. Your choice to ignore our specialist almost cost Riku his life.
Experiencia negativa: Pretty upset with this office. As a new owner of an 8-week-old Siamese kitten, I was trying to be diligent in keeping up with her healthcare as she was very young & freshly rescued from a kill shelter. I was recommended Companion Care Winter Park by a friend who spoke highly of them. Initially, I was very pleased with this office’s willingness & availability to do a drop off visit at short notice when I was concerned about my kittens’ sensitive stomach. I also appreciated the reception staff’s kind demeanor at each of my visits. The problem didn’t occur until our second visit 2 weeks later, when I expressed my concern for a growing patch on her mouth to the vet. The vet quickly checked over her vitals + her physical body, but completely disregarded the patch of concern and only took a photo of it to compare the next visit. I thought this was strange, but I didn’t question it as I’ve already been feeling like a bit of a hypochondriac over my kitten. If the vet didn’t think it was something that needed to be managed immediately, then why would I challenge it? (Lesson learned!) It was choked off as allergies & thus I began a journey in testing different kitten foods for her to try since I was trying to avoid this patch overwhelming her mouth. That didn’t happen & the patches/lesions grew to her body + ears. It wasn’t until I found ringworm on my own body, that I was able to put two and two together. This means my kitten has been running rampant with growing ringworm & it wasn’t even a point of mention for the vet during our last visit. I luckily already had an appointment scheduled for the following day. I ended up being the one to inform my own vet about the ringworm I discovered on her, even though this should’ve been the other way around given they had the opportunity to catch it 2 weeks prior. They didn’t have enough “iso” rooms, so I wasn’t even going to be able to sit through the appointment with her. At the end of the appointment, they returned her to me & after apologizing for the ringworm, the technician communicated the doctors’ obvious diagnosis to me. They ended up prescribing her a topical wipe & an oral antifungal which they didn’t have on hand. Instead, I had to order it online which takes another x number of days to actually get delivered. (Ordered 9/22 & still haven’t received) So, “upset” is honestly an understatement. I understand there is always room for error, but I expressed direct concern about the growing spot & it was completely disregarded by the vet. Because of their laxity & ignorance, this ringworm has quite literally taken over my kitten’s body when it was only a growing patch on her mouth 2 weeks prior. I’ve completely lost trust in their service & will not be returning as this veterinary office can’t seem to diagnose a case of ringworm even if it’s explicitly pointed out to them.
Experiencia negativa: The dr even missed the date my dog got fix , he got his fix at almost 9 months of age , and I’m very clear with them please take out any baby teeth left over , today coming for yearly vaccine , the dr said he have 1 teeth need to pull out and quote me again ,, and then she said my pup got fix at 5 months old ? At 5 months ? I told her after when he got fix the staffs told me he have no baby teeth left , every time I coming is different Dr , please take your pup sometime else they even flip arround and said my pup got fix at 5 months of ages that why’s they can’t pull the teeth out , it’s just a messed and money hunger

The service programs they have are also a great cost effective way to get my pets the preventative care they need. Would recommend!

Experiencia negativa: My cat wasn’t feeling well and stop eating, I took her to this place and they run some test and told me that she was diabetic and need fluid to survive, also have a bad tooth with an infection. (Charge me almost $500). They told me she was to old (14 years) and that I should euthanized her. I cried all day, but look other opinion, she wasn’t diabetic only stressed, gave her pedialite and she improve instantly, gave her antibiotics for the infection and she is great now! Have a dentist appointment to remove the tooth and she is very healthy and still alive! (Thanks to me and the search of a second opinion) UPDATE! I took my cat to Aloma pet care and she even needed to remove the tooth!! They gave me something for the water to taking care of her mouth health!

Experiencia negativa: Two months of back and forth, unnecessary testing, and a literal shrug when they still had no answers for us. I was told, and I quote, "We aren't the kind of vet that diagnoses things." Then what kind are you, other than the kind that charges hundreds of dollars when all along my cat was days away from dying from lymphoma? So glad I trusted my gut and got a second opinion elsewhere so that I can now treat my cat properly. I wish I hadn't gone here to begin with.
Experiencia negativa: Update: I brought my cat to a different vet. They said that if they’d gotten the numbers that Companion Care had gotten, they would have manually tested her blood and urine. The numbers they were showing for anemia are numbers for a dead cat! The high glucose wasn’t high enough for a diabetes diagnosis, only for a stressed cat. (So glad we elected not to start her on insulin or they would have killed my cat!!) Her blood pressure was high only because she was stressed (so we wrongly treated high blood pressure for a year!!) Her urine was very concentrated and a renal cat is unable to concentrate urine. These vets clearly have no clue how to diagnose and treat animals, so I would definitely stay away! I liked them better last year. Their hours were more conducive for people that work, and their prices were reasonable. This week my cat stopped eating and drinking so we had to bring her in. A vet visit, blood work, urine and saline solution cost $554! I had to bring her back today for more hydration and it was $204! They want me to bring her back again tomorrow for hydration. That will be another $180-200. The staff is all very friendly, but everyone walks around acting so sad and grim. Not just around us and our sick cat, but everyone that brought in a pet. It was a very depressing place to be. I am super disappointed in this place. I thought I found a good vet, but I was mistaken.

Experiencia negativa: I will never consider this place again. I wanted to bring my 10 week old Yorki in for his 3rd round of shots. I wanted to make sure they could give him the shots without the Lepto in it. The doctor called me 15 prior to his appointment stating that it was rude to request he didn’t, she is the doctor with the degree. However, I understand she has the degree but it’s MY dog and he is 2 pounds. Lepto isn’t good for small dogs. This doctor was rude and unprofessional! I canceled my appointment and will never recommend.
Experiencia negativa: Disappointed. Nickel and dime games - they ask to trim cat's nails so as to not get scratched themselves, but want to charge ME for it? That's new. "Exam rooms" don't even have scales, they take your pet to a back room completely out of sight and return your pet at the end and tell you how it went. You see nothing and spend most of the time without your pet. Doctors hide the entire time, you talk to the techs. They also run out of medications and you have to drive to Sanford. I chose this clinic as they were newer and thought I'd receive more personal care than someplace super busy - instead I don't even get an appointment confirmation the day before. They rescheduled one of my appointments because the doctor "had an emergency". I arrived for the rescheduled appointment just to be sent home unserved because of a detail they never shared with me. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly.

Did not waste my time trying to upsell everything under the sun to me which was very much appreciated. Reasonable pricing. Clean office. Nice staff. Caring vet. I'd highly recommend them. I'll definitely continue to use them. Left feeling really good about my puppies care.

I'm very happy with the vet doctor and staff. They're all very friendly. They will listen to you. They will examine your pet throughly to see the what the issue is. The pricing was very fair too. Mainly, my cat wasn't afraid of the staff either. I will come back here again with my cats. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: I stumbled upon Companion Care when they first opened their second location on Aloma. I decided to sign both our young dachshunds up for the wellness plans. They have been so wonderful, caring and fair with everything. Our older Hound Beagle mix passed away unexpectedly and companion care actually refunded part of his wellness plan fee because we had not used the services. I was shocked and fully prepared to finish paying out the contracted year. They really listen and care for our pets as if they were their own. It's obvious that everyone who works at Companion Care absolutely loves animals due to their patients and desire to treat each animal according to his or her needs, even if it takes more time for the animal to warm up to the staff. They are amazing and worth every penny spent.

The end-of-life counseling was so helpful for us and their kindness to our dog made his last moments so peaceful. In addition, it's a beautiful new clinic. Wonderful doc, tech and front desk. Experiencia fantástica: I took in my 10 years old Pomeranian. He was having breathing issues. They took Jasper in and diagnosed him with an enlarged heart. He is now on meds and doing MUCH better! The staff here is SECOND TO NONE! They are so gentle, loving and caring with anyone’s animal that walks through their door. I HIGHLY recommend Companion Care to any one that is looking for a vet that REALLY CARES ❤️

The day of we came in and Savannah very kindly checked us in explained the process kindly and thoroughly then led us to a private room. During this time she overheard my husband, son and I lament that of the no no foods we had fed him all that day of steak, a quarter pounder, pupuchinos etc we hadn't thought to give him chocolate. Minutes after being in the room Savannah came back to let us know know she had overhead and offered us her kit kat, she also asked if we would like to give him a cookie which she quickly went to get him. The dr then came in and kindly and compassionately explained the process and offered us as much time as we need with him before they began. We sat and talked with him at length never once being rushed or interrupted. They let us hold him throughout the procedure and were very kind and understanding of our grief. Afterwards they again let us stay in the room with him at length. When we then started to leave we were in the lobby giving each of us a few minutes of privacy each with our auggie and despite us crying in their lobby never once tried to usher us out or hide us away. Savannah brought us out tissues and water and spoke at length about groups for loss of a pet, told us about jewelry options for ashes and offered us an abundance of kindness, caring and compassion. Even though this was and is such a difficult loss for my family and I. I will be forever grateful that I chose this company and staff to be there for us in this time. They are absolutely above and beyond anything I expected they truly care about pets and the owners alike and I will never take my pet anywhere else other than this business and staff and I strongly support and suggest them for anyone who loves their pet!
Experiencia fantástica: I have a 3 month old Cocker Spaniel who was severely attacked by a pitbull. Every hospital I went to quoted thousands for Bruno's surgery and said if I couldn't pay then I could relinquish rights. I had given up hope, but a friend of mine told me about Companion Care. I took him first thing on Sunday morning and couldn't believe the compassion Dr. Vani and her staff showed Bruno. Now Bruno's recovering very well. We're forever grateful for Dr. Vani and her staff. If you are in a similar situation or need any sort of help for your dog I couldn't recommend Companion Care and Dr. Vani more than this. She's beautiful inside and out and has a heart of gold. Experiencia fantástica: I went to both the Winter Park and Sanford location. They were very professional and caring. They are very sensitive to the loss of a pet and the suffering of a pet. I even received a sympathy card with a hand written note from the employees. Both doctors my pet saw were caring and considerate.

Savannah brought us out tissues and water and spoke at length about groups for loss of a pet, told us about jewelry options for ashes and offered us an abundance of kindness, caring and compassion. Even though this was and is such a difficult loss for my family and I. I will be forever grateful that I chose this company and staff to be there for us in this time. They are absolutely above and beyond anything I expected they truly care about pets and the owners alike and I will never take my pet anywhere else other than this business and staff and I strongly support and suggest them for anyone who loves their pet!
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent service. They took care of my dog they were very gentle. I'm very picky with vets to the point I would travel an hour and a half to take her to a good vet. And now I have a very trustworthy place very near me. The prices are affordable. My dog made a very quick recovery. I love her so much now I have peace of mind. Very grateful for the services. They are officially my dogs new vet ♥️

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderfully kind and sweet staff. The vet tech and vet were so amazing and patient and kind. They were not rushed and they were very knowledgeable and just really great with my dog. I was really late because accidentally went to other location and Sanford and they were so understanding and I was still able to be seen with no problem plus they added a complementary service for my trouble! Which was so beyond nice considering it wasn’t their fault at. So if you are looking for a personable, compassionate, affordable and professional vet office I highly recommend this one. I sure will be returning :)
