Experiencia fantástica: I've been coming here for around 8 years with 6 different animals. The care of the veterinarians and staff is always the best. Our last visit was unplanned and I was able to bri g Betty right in and get her feeling better. I truly appreciated the care and treatment she received and didn't feel rushed even though we were squeezed in. She's feeling so much better today and I know whatever the outcome WPV and Dr Newman will make sure Betty gets the best care! Dr. Newman has been treating Betty for 8 years and he saved his life when he met her. We will never forget that. We've also used Dr Helenga and Dr Delaney and the compassion everyone shows is worth every dollar we spend for care. Thank you for everyone's help over the years! Experiencia fantástica: Dr LosKamp was wonderfully knowledgeable and forthcoming regarding my axolotl's care. Dr LosKamp was completely transparent every step of the way, and his knowledge and bedside manner were wonderful. Talin(sp?) was awesome during intake, Raven was experienced and able to answer my questions during discharge. Kelly was incredibly kind on the phone and followed through in getting answers for me. Overall, everyone on staff I interacted with gave A++.

AND AND....they had Hercules, the Disney movie, playing in the waiting room. They let my son feed the Koi. You guys are the Black Angus of Veterinary hospitals (It was my families choice restaurant for weddings, graduations and funerals). Thank you!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Thomas is fantastic! She takes great care of my 2 cats and always answers any questions I have. The entire staff here is friendly and the waiting room has an inviting vibe. If you go for a Vet visit, usually you are able to take your pet with you immediately to an exam room so you can be in a more calm area without other pets, which is really nice. I go every month as well for technician visits for one of my cats who gets arthritis injections and I have found their prices to be reasonable, flexibility in scheduling is very helpful, and the techs always treat my cats gently. I would definitely recommend this office and especially Dr. Thomas for your fur babies.

Experiencia fantástica: I've waited to write this review to try and find words to express my gratitude, admiration and respect for this facility and the expertise, experience and compassion I experienced when my young dog, Harold, was at deaths door. In a nutshell, he swallowed hard rubber toy pieces that caused an intestinal blockage. At another practice, he endured 2 surgeries, sections of intestine removed and a rapid, heartbreaking deterioration. Both surgeries failed, euthanasia was recommended. As a volunteer at Audubon, I was aware of WP Vet and their partnership, so in desperation, I called Mr. Hess and the response was honest, factual and immediate, even though I believed it was too late. Dr Newman was a true hero, Lindsay and staff ensured I focused on Harold and not the monetary 'white elephant' in the room that comes with two prior surgeries. They saved Harold's life that day and I will never forget that gift. That was 8mths ago and Harold is doing fantastic! Don't suffer like we did. Go straight to WP Vet. 9 days, 3 surgeries and they succeeded. This diagnosis is a ticking time bomb with life threatening consequences and you need to know exactly what needs to be done because time is not on your side. GO TO WP Vet. What they have is truly priceless. Don't risk losing your companion. I regret not getting Harold the help he needed until it was time to say goodbye. They are the difference...

Experiencia negativa: My dog has been a patient since she was a puppy, and I've always taken her to this veterinary clinic for annual check-ups. I've spent thousands of dollars on medical treatments. However, this time I couldn't take her in for a check-up because I have a baby ,no time andI'm currently trying to gather the minimum $500 they always charge. I went in desperately asking if they could sell me a flea and tick pill, but they refused. It's incredible that they can't sell it to me even if I told her I’ll bring the dog soon. I was only asking for the flea and tick pill, not even the heartworm one. I will definitely not be returning to this place.

Experiencia negativa: I take back the review that I initially wrote, as I am in a tough position with my dog and asked for a prescription refill of which I’ve tried to offer different options in order for them to fill a prescription for my terminally ill dog. I understand they’re not the primary doctor, but they seem to not care as much about the animals as you would like to think after the first visit. I understand they have a protocol to follow, but they would rather let your animal suffer because of protocol. I will never bring another animal to these people and would like to say that the first time I went, there was a completely different experience and that they seem to want to do everything they can to help my dog. I’m not sure if the original doctors name but she was excellent. The doctor I just spoke with offered zero solutions and couldn’t just do the right thing. Do not go to this establishment, it’s a business.

I have only visited one other vet before finding WPVH and it wasn't a good experience. I will always return to and trust WPVH. They assisted me with my rabbit when she got an eye infection and set me up with a perfect plan of care. They also show the utmost respect and care if an animal must be laid to rest. They were there for every part of the process, kept me well informed, and made sure each need was met fully for both me and my pet. Would highly recommend to any and all veterinary needs for both common and exotic pets.

Experiencia fantástica: My hedgehog, Vinny, was anemic. He was very weak and had to spend a couple of days in the hospital. The whole staff and Dr. Norman contacted me 3 times a day to keep me updated. I could tell they really cared about the well-being of Vinny. Literally everyone from the ladies at the front desk to Amanda, Dr. Norman, the nurse that works with him. I can't remember his name but he was awesome! The care I felt was like nothing I've felt elsewhere. They truly wanted Vinny to be better. They weren't out for my money. 10 out of 10 recommend

The entire staff is great. Dr Newman is awesome!! It is hard to find a good vet that will care for a 4 pound dog. You must be picky and I found my forever vet.

I also adore the Wellness Center and that we have the flexibility to have appointments at either facility. Alba and Dr. Newman were both fantastic! Dr. N explained things for us in plain English and Alba was empathetic and made sure we went home with everything we need, including committing to follow up on additional refills. The woman at the front desk who checked me in knew who I was and greeted me with my pet's name even though my dog hadn't yet entered the building. She knew exactly who we were and why we were there. The team is always patient with answering my questions. We never feel rushed though I know you all are busy.

Throughout the entire process they were incredibly kind and thorough. Both Kevin and I are super thankful for the extremely talented surgical and medical team at WP vet. I appreciate the transparency when it comes to billing and the honesty when it comes to his health report. Dr. Newman is the man when it comes to taking care of Frank. He's always professional and direct with his work which is something I really value in healthcare. I also can't forget about the rest of the staff. My dog has had multiple procedures and many other visits in-between his checkups so I greatly appreciate those who have taken care of him behind closed doors. Kofi, my hedgehog, had a thread of my hair wrapped around her leg so tight to the point that it was smarter to just amputate her. Kofi is still able to run on her wheel and cuddle with me in her bonding blanket because of these Vets…. They were the only set of Vets that answered my frantic phone cal and let me come in as soon as I could. I now take my two cats, Ozzi and Benji for their wellness visits. I know my animals are in amazing hands and under incredible care with Winter Park Vets!

I brought both of my ferrets who were sick to see Dr. Newman and he was great! very knowledgeable and realistic when it came to treating my one ferret that now has cancer. I live in South Daytona so its a bit of a drive but I have no problem making the trip if it means that my fur kiddos get the best care and gold standard medicine.

We live in the Bradenton/Sarasota area yet we still make the journey to Winter Park for our girls. They really care. That's from the receptionist to the vet drs. We really love their pet day care and their boarding services. We can enjoy ourselves away and not a worry about their stay. We even receive daily photos when we are away. They have caring people in the daycare and boarding areas. They truly love our girls. We can see that every time they just out of our car and into their care. Experiencia fantástica: A month ago my dog (Dade) couldn't even walk, one day he couldn't even stand long enough to eat. At 14, almost 15, I was kind of expecting the worse. I reached out to Lindsay Knowlton and she told me to schedule a visit and come meet with one of the vets. An hour later we left the office and Dade was like a whole new dog, and a month later he's still the same. I don't remember the name of the injection they gave him but Dade's like a puppy again. It was wild to go from a senior dog who couldnt walk to having a puppy with grey hair all of a sudden!

Dr Newman and Dr Cranick (sorry if I spelt it wrong), do exceptional work with both there patient at the time and their human family members. I cannot appreciate enough the empathy that was shown today. The ver was also outstanding.Lucy successfully purged the beauty sponge and is home doing well.

Experiencia fantástica: I've only been for one exam with my rabbits, but it was a great experience. Dr. Delaney was super thorough, worked fast, and listened to all my concerns. And the tech for my rabbits' exams was very kind, helped me to my car, and let me talk her ear off about my rabbits. She was awesome.

Experiencia fantástica: We have taken a total of 4 pets to WP Vet Hospital now. All of the Vets, Vet Techs, and Staff have been so kind and knowledgeable. What I love most about this Vet office is that it seems to run very smoothly from an Operations standpoint. I have always received a call back when I've called to ask the vet a question. They all seem to genuinely care about your pets. It's always clean. They have all of the equipment and staff on hand to handle any emergencies. I love this Vet! Dr. Cardenas has been excellent with our puppy and our kittens. We appreciate her taking the time to answer all of our questions.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my Florida mud turtle, Maddie, here for care. Everyone was very nice and very informative. I felt like everything was explained to me and nothing that did not have to be completed was done. A good, conservative plan was made. I got a follow up call today to see how Maddie was doing and if I had any questions. Dr. Foti was great and Josh, the vet tech was excellent. A great experience and I highly recommend this practice. Also, they will take injured wild life and help them for free. (Call ahead to let them know, of course). What a great service to the community!

Experiencia negativa: Late at night on February 28th, 2024, my 2 yr old, Trix, was being unusual on their baby camera; she was spinning in circles & leaning on her right side. February 29th, when everyone opened, I scheduled an appt w/ Winter Park Veterinary Hospital (WPVH) at 6pm same day. The ONLY reason I chose this vet was because our usual vet was off & I was afraid to wait another day. W/both buns in tow, I get to our appt, fearing the worst & prepared to pay/do whatever was necessary to fix it. I show the video of Trix & provide a brief history of our buns (they were rescued from the wild; let go by our neighbors w/Trix still growing then & Nesquik's age unknown as he was already fully grown). After a quick physical check up, vet #1 (refraining from giving names) told me it was an ear infection & said & I quote, "I'm surprised you even caught it. Most wouldn't have noticed this early." I was relieved (at the time), thinking, "thank God it's just an ear infection," & paid $300 for her visit, antibiotic shot, pain medication & oral antibiotics. In hindsight, I can't remember a time that a vet wasn't extra precautious & recommended something more (i.e. bloodwork or Xray) like I thought we would be doing, just in case. March 3rd, get new antibiotics (left ours out by accident) & confirmed the doctor didn't want a follow up (thinking the meds would make a difference) Over next 2 weeks, noticed gradual decrease in our buns appetite, but still observed them eating, drinking, & being their normal, happy selves, so I contributed this to Trix's medication upsetting her tummy or possible lingering pain, or the rising FL temps making the house warmer & the buns less hungry. Flashforward to March 17th & Trix is terribly wrong. Her right eye (same side as her "ear infection") is bulging & she has a noticeable disinterest in food or water. Worse yet, camera malfunctioned & didn't record the 16th or 17th for me to determine if something caused the eye or when she last ate. To be proactive, I syringe feed her water & a smoothie of greens, apples, water & give her a hot water bottle. I just returned to work from a 7 month med leave, so mom agrees to come down to take her to the vet on my behalf the 19th (earliest we could get since WPVH required a $200 emergency fee despite a possible misdiagnosis) March 18th, 6pm Trix is wheezing & has clear, thin discharge from her nose. Bulge around right side of neck found later in evening. But she has higher energy levels & is taking food/water from me, so I opt not to take her in. March 19th, Trix is refusing any water or food. Mom takes her in early, insists I goto work despite my worries 11am - on phone w/vet #2 who says we have to put her under to find what's wrong. Says she understands I'm angry, claims it could still be related to ear infection (how when it was caught early & being treated?), but I angrily agree to put her under, to pay $1400 to save my baby from their misdiagnosis. Hours & $900 later, they return my beautiful bun... in a box... because she died on the table. from a tumor in her face. that ate thru her jawbone. that could have been caught.... with an xray. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, WPVH has shifted blame & refused responsibility by claiming 1: "You didn't even know how old Trix was," & 2: "We see this a lot with rabbits that aren't spayed." Trix was 2. We knew this because we raised her & watched her grow. It was Nesquik whose age we didn't know & we intended on spaying Trix this year instead of paying $1200 for a misdiagnosis. Vet also dodgy about sending trix's records despite asking for them 4 days ago. I suspect they will counter this review, further proving me right. Bun parents, go anywhere but here. This family adored Trix & now our family will never be the same.

Experiencia positiva: 3 stars because a rabbit molar trim is highway robbery here so definitely don't come here for that. I was quoted $500-$700. ‍ My poor rabbit would be dead if this was my only option. They were amazing otherwise.

I had taken my kitty cat to 3 other vets (trying my hest to get professional opinions on my kitty's qualitynof life due to a recent condition) then I decided to try Winter Park Veterinary Hospital, even though the outcome was not good andnhad to say goodbye to my precious pet of 17 years... Mara and the Dr. Delaney were AMAZING they were professional, knowledgeable, caring and so very kind and for that we will be forever grateful

Experiencia negativa: I will not be bringing my dog here anymore, due to the fact that they try to oversell you on every vaccine or treatment available....Once you get taken back to the room before the doctor comes in, a person starts reviewing all of the vaccines and treatments they would like to give to your pet....my initial quote was almost $800 worth of vaccines and treatments. I came to this very expensive place with the promise they will take care of my dogs medication renewal with no problem. First order never arrived on time they explained the technician forgot to approve it. I had to go to the location and pay almost double the money for a few pills until I got it. Second order took the 300.00 out of my account and medicine never arrived, when I called the person on the phone got the nerve to tell me I should schedule with enough time (news flash I did with 14 days extra pills). She then apologized for the inconvenience and told me a new order was coming up. It has been 10 days since then called the location the person on the phone can’t help me. Then I come to find out through email the Vet declined the order with no calling or checking on what was going on, no care for the animal at all Dr Caitrine Hellenga, Dvm you don’t care for the animals just the money. My dog has only 2 days left of a daily medicine. I don’t have another 300 to pay for pills on their location . And no one gives an answer. They STOLE the money I have no medication and no one helps me out.

I never got the surgery they said she had to have. Eight years later she’s still going strong. Not one issue. I wouldn’t send anyone here.

I went in for an ear check and 400.00 later I had antibiotics for his paws and an allergy shot that they charge you for but you don’t see them give .. they did a so called tape test on his paws and prescribed antibiotics and wipes that they charged 27 for when. On Amazon 8 dollars .. secret nothing was wrong with his paws … and the tape test .. you can do that on my shoes and get the same result .. asked about neutering they wasn’t 500-750 for a 30 pound dog … something is very wrong with this place and I have reported them .., they want ma to have my dog dewormed every 6 months , yet he is on flea/tick/worm meds .. they are criminals .. and take advantage of non wealthy patients .. as I said reported to the department of health .. do not trust this vet…., and as below they also share your personal information along with your dogs … shady.. you have violated my privacy

Experiencia fantástica: I found an injured bird and the Winter Park Vet staff were so incredibly kind and took in the poor thing and even updated me before I left and said they had her sedated and were going to see what’s going on and what they can do and transfer her to a rehabber. Not many places in the area take in injured wildlife so I’m so grateful to have found them. Thank you for all you do!

Experiencia fantástica: This is my second visit to WP Vet hospital.The first time I went there in a rush because my feral was sick and other facilities did not specialize in dealing with him. Saw Dr. Katherine Cardenas and was very impressed with how she treated my outdoor never touched cat. Today went there for the second time to actually get a second opinion from Dr. Cardenas because my indoor cat was refusing wet food. Again was very impressed with how thorough she was and how we could review a step by step action healing plan. I asked questions and she took the time to explain. In today's visit I also met Miriam Soto, a vet technician. What can I say ... she too gets my 10+. Natural teacher who is kind and quite experienced. Because of them I will stay at WPVH. I like thoroughness and they did just that for me and my gatito.

Both times, the care, knowledge and sensitivity to the furkids needs and mine were outstanding. Appointments were easy even as a new patient, pricing fair and follow up care is right on spot. Exam rooms have no tables, a big dog bed, big windows and sometimes calming music. Dr Crainick, Brianna and AJ were very professional, engaging and well versed. Experiencia fantástica: I called the office to ask that they request Vet records from a Specialty Vet who had seen our pup, years ago. I spoke with Customer Service Rep, Nicole C., who looked up the specialty, out-of-town Vet in seconds and had all their contact info before I asked if she was ready for me to giver her the contact info. She said she would call them today. I thanked her and said I would follow-up in a few days to confirm that all records were received. About 5 minutes later, I called back to tell Nicole that if she needed a signed authorization, she could fax me and I could sign it, scan it, and send it back to her. But much to my surprise, when Nicole got on the phone, she told me that she already had called the Specialty Vet, searched my records at Winter Park Veterinary Hospital, found a previously signed authorization form, and had my records from the Specialty Vet transferred. And while I was still on the phone, she emailed them to me so I could confirm that the records I had requested had been received in full. In all of my previous experience with Vet offices and customer service reps (going back decades), I have never received such prompt, courteous, and competent service. And somehow, Nicole was able to do all this while sounding completely relaxed and friendly on the phone. I never got the feeling that she was a harried, hurried worker being asked to do too much for too many. Other offices, under similar circumstances, have taken days (or longer) to request and receive records and often have required multiple follow-up phone calls. Not so with Nicole: From start to finish, my records were requested, authorized, and received within minutes. I would recommend Winter Park Animal Hospital — and Customer Service Rep Nicole C. — to anyone. Nicole provided extraordinary service, but prior to today, she and I had never spoken to each other or met at the office. This was just all in a days work for her: Extraordinary service is Nicole’s ordinary service.

When my pet hedgehog had an emergency situation today, they saw her immediately, despite her being a new patient and the office being busy. They took every precaution to make sure she was healthy and explained to me thoroughly their entire process. Our vet technician Caitlyn was incredibly knowledgeable! I’m very grateful for them and they’re definitely going to be my new vet.

Experiencia fantástica: Best animal hospital ever! We’ve been bringing our bunny here for about a year for regular checkups. Recently we became concerned about a potential respiratory issue. Dr Los Kamp and the entire staff, as usual, were very attentive, patient and thorough with all the exams. This time our bunny needed to have dental surgery, which was very frightening for us. Dr Los Kamp carefully explained the procedures and patiently answered a million questions for us. He expertly handled the teeth trimming and the molar extraction. We followed his after care instructions to the letter, and were extremely happy and surprised to see our bunny slowly eating hay again the very next morning. We’ve moved all over the country and tried several hospitals … WPVH is simply the best! The staff, the loving atmosphere, and the medical skill are top-notch. ❤️

Even when i come in to get meds or food she askes about him. Dr. Foti has been excellent in working with my cat and it's diagnosis. He even called me within a hour or two after dropping off my cat and discussed what he found from the tests. This office has a nice cozy family feel to it and everyone is welcoming. Tawnya is very compassionate and proves great comfort when dealing with though issues.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Newman is a man who was born to be a vet. He has an obvious love for animals, a humorous bedside manner, and a talent for efficient assessment and treatment. He has the experience to know how to diagnose a problem and make inferences with the fewest tests necessary, and the consideration to actually do so (clearly proven to us on several occasions). He has been efficiently treating my 11-year-old dog for many years, even performing an emergency, unscheduled operation on one occasion. I have total confidence in his recommendations. He always takes time to answer my questions. It’s not easy to trust someone with the health of your pet or to be considerate of your expenses. Being a pet owner is a vulnerable position to be in when you would do anything you can for them… Dr. Newman is a veterinarian you can trust.

Experiencia negativa: On October 4th, my one-year-old English bulldog went in for an ultrasound to locate his testicles because they never descended. The provider recommended I get an Ultrasound so they would know where to make the incision and wouldn't have to make a large incision. The provider told me that his testicles were high in his abdomen. The surgery was scheduled for October 16th, 2023, because they wanted the same provider who performed the ultrasound present during the surgery. It appears the provider was trying to perform an autopsy and not a surgery. My boy has this huge incision running down his abdomen and sides. What was the point of the ultrasound? I was told over the phone after the surgery that his testicles were in the inguinal area. What happened to them being high in the abdomen? This facility has excellent reviews (the reason why I chose them as a vet), but I do not think they have experience with the bulldog breed or any brachycephalic breed. If my boy pulls through this brutal recovery phase, we will have to find another vet.

From booking the appt, to Calvin ( the nicest Vet Tech ever) and Dr Looks Care was AMAZING and they even called to follow-up. Plus it was not crazy expensive either- Bring your Fur-Babies here if they need help and ya love them! They will be my primary vet from now on!!!

Experiencia fantástica: We just moved to Orlando from Colorado and my pup was lethargic / not eating / having massive bathroom issues. Winter Park was open late and took us as walk-ins for the urgent care. They were super welcoming & kind, they listened to all the issues and ran tests. Before doing anything they always went over the cost & were fine if there were parts of the treatment you felt you didn’t want to proceed with. Their entire staff is amazing I wish I could remember everyone’s names, but we had to go back the following day because my pup wasn’t taking the meds from me and Mara took the time out of her day to thoroughly go through how to do it. 10/10 would recommend.

After reading their email and explanation I understood that these only platforms are exploiting local vets and even try to circumvent them. More importantly, their online pharmacy had a better deal on the meds he needed, so I cancelled and went through the winter park vet pharmacy. This vet previously got my dog in with short notice and has been a great place for my dog. I recommend giving them your business.

Experiencia negativa: Called for a price on sugar glider neuter. I've worked with gliders for years at top facilities & had literally thousands of neuters done. This is the first time I've heard that they need to examine the animal before giving a price. Absolute scam. A simple simple laser procedure that's the exact same size on all gliders should be standard price. And they said they might not recommend it depending on the health of the animal. Red flag!!! I have never had an issue if they're doing the appropriate laser external noninvasive technique. Even with older gliders, though it's always risky putting an older animal under anesthesia, never ever had a problem. Certainly shouldn't be wishy washy about whether or not they recommend a neuter. So out of curiosity I asked if they spay. They said yes! RED FLAGGGGGGG These animals are too tiny. Spay is extremely extremely risky & should never be done. Sugar glider people know that. Don't let them operate on your glider

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Foti did a great job with our leopard gecko, Luna. He cleaned her eye out and educated use on the proper way to take care of her. There was a lot we didn't know and should have been doing since we got her, for example, providing a hide box in order to keep the right temperature & humidity. Pet stores do a terrible job of teaching you how to care for geckos. Thankfully the Doctor took the time to teach us how to properly care for her and administer the correct vitamins so she can live a long life in captivity. Turns out geckos are not as easy as we thought. Thank you, we will definitely be back if we need their help again!

Experiencia positiva: Brung my bearded dragon in damn near on her death bed , they wanted to do all these test and charge crazy amounts of money although I’m smarter than that and just asked for the antibiotics. Greatly enough the medication worked and my bearded dragon is alive and well (I’m doing this review probably a month after my visit just so I could’ve giving a review after some time . But all in all good service building is kept very Clean ! And I even had someone call me from there office to checc how my bearded dragon was doing . Also to mention I didn’t have to wait extremely long like other vets I was in and out . If I have any other problems with my animals I will be sure to return
