Experiencia fantástica: Came to them because we had a bad experience at a animal hospital in Longwood that did not address our concerns and overcharged to help with our cat’s needs. Decided to come to Furever and Deanna and her team were nothing short of exceptional. She is straight forward and will lay out options for you as if it is her own pet. She will not do what isn’t necessary, and she communicates well throughout the process so you always know whats going on. All my cats will be going there moving forward
Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog, Bentley, there last week and had an amazing experience. It was an emergency visit due to him having diarrhea for multiple days after a neuter and they took great care of him there. I dropped him off at 8:20 and the doctor call me around 11 with an update and explained what caused it and the treatment plan. Picked him up a few hours later and he already looked much better. It’s been five days since he was there and he is back to his old self again I don’t know where I’d be without them! The whole team was lovely and very kind. I plan on making them the primary vet for my whole animal family. I will say I was hesitant to leave home there alone but it gave them the chance to monitor him without an owner present to get the full understanding of what is going on.

I have a feisty 15-year-old kitty that really hates the vet and I get very nervous that people won't take care of her, but they did so amazing with her and reassured me the whole time. I was hesitant switching vets because she is older but 100% the best choice, and I wish I would have done it so much sooner. I've never met such a personable vet, I love it here!
Experiencia fantástica: Furever Family Animal Hospital has been one of my favorite veterinarians to go to! Merida and Wilma (my dogs) approve as well. Dr. Armstrong is very knowledgeable, but yet able to help you understand what is needed and what is going on. Both her and the vet techs and assistants where always super helpful and flexible with everything I needed. The only reason we do not take our animals there anymore is because we have relocated. I miss this office and staff very much. Thank you to all who helped us out!

They were able to get us in super last minute and help us with our baby cat who kept taking out her stitches! They heard our concerns and went above and beyond by showing us pictures of before and after and going over what was all done, going over after care, and even different methods (body suit, better cone, glue) to not have her taking out her stitches again! Experiencia fantástica: I was recommended Furever Family Animal Hospital by a friend who has been seeing Dr. Armstrong for years. I was not disappointed. I have taken my cat, Milly, to her since last year. She initially helped me to figure out the meaning of bloodwork I had received from a different veterinarian where I was unable to get clear information. Since then, Milly has seen her a number of times for different issues. I can tell you that Dr. Armstrong and her staff are top notch professionals while being caring and compassionate at the same time. Dr. Armstrong takes a very personable approach to both the pet and pet owner. She is available to discuss any issues you may have and leaves you knowing that she truly cares about your pet. You will not regret your choice to see her as your veterinarian.

Experiencia negativa: Our regular Veterinarian was away on vacation so we decided to try this veterinary office to treat our baby while he was unwell. Great reviews had suggested this to be a good option. The office was not welcoming and we were immediately accosted with options and costs of what services we wanted for our baby. Despite being told we could subscribe to an annual program that would cover the costs and services of the first visit (this is what brought us to this vet), this was immediately recinded and we were told that the first visit would cost upwards of 3 times the amount we had expected to pay, outside of the proposed annual program, depending on what treatments and tests we wanted. We don't view our baby as a car or home appliance and we don't appreciate receiving a sales approach on how to "update" or "get the best performance out of" a loved member of our family. The proprietor and veterinarian was very quick to attack my wife when she posted a review expressing her displeasure with Furever Family Animal Hospital, and I will not be surprised if I turn out to be the next target of her ire and aggression. We want a vet who is kind to the animals and their humans and I am afraid this vet may fail on both counts.
If you put as much time into your pet's healthcare as you do for online reviews to hurt family-owned small business owners, imagine where your kitty would be. We refuse to spin our wheels on negative energy and space.... so I will repost my reply to you here....Thank you for sharing your experience. Your kitty was made a priority and squeezed into our schedule for a sick visit for vomiting and weight loss. The staff reviewed your options for recommended labwork and supportive care to see which items YOU are interested in as the owner of the sick cat. Although we would love to perform all recommended tests and treatments, we understand these professional services come at a cost to the pet owner and need your consent. Additionally, your cat has not seen a veterinarian in several years and a rabies vaccine is required by Florida state law. Lastly, our preventative care packages are meant for well-rounded PREVENTATIVE care at a low monthly cost to make things afforable for pet parents on a budget. Preventative care is very different than a clinical illness, and these appointments are approached differently, much like human medicine. I am sorry if this was not relayed to you, but we did offer to examine your kitty and provide whatever care was recommended. You declined to have your pet examined, you declined all diagnostic testing, and you declined all treatment options that we offered to you. So no, the veterinarian and professional staff were not given the opportunity to help your kitty. We hope your kitty gets the veterinary care he has desperately needed.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give negative stars I would. After reading great reviews I called to make an appointment for my fur baby. My regular vet was not available so we decided to give them a try. We were ready to make them our regular vet if all went well, as it seemed they had better hours, etc. than current vet availability. We waited a week for the appointment, scurried around to pick up our records, and hand delivered them to this location. We had explained the cat was a feral (domesticated now) but had anxiety issues. We arrived at our appointment and it all went downhill from there. First off. The tech came to the room and started asking us what injections and stuff we wanted. Hmmm, after watching the you tube video about what to expect, this was not part of it. I was taken aback. How am I to know what injections are required, is that not what the vet does ?? We were also told that they have a monthly plan, $ every month includes different care packages, blood work, injections and so on. “Can we use the plan for our visit today? Like we were told we could when we called?” I asked. No !!!!!! The plan can’t be used on your 1st visit. They want you to pay an office fee, rabies vaccination and blood work. Totally a bait and switch technique. The vet didn’t even bother coming to the room to apologize for the wrong Information being given to us. We left and will stay with our regular vet. If you have money to just throw around then go see this vet. It was sterile, unfriendly and fast to pass the blame to others. I am furious that we subjected our cat to the extreme anxiety and stress a vet visit causes him for absolutely nothing. It’s all about the money. Still confused as to why they asked us what treatments and blood work, vaccines we wanted. This is not a restaurant where you order from the menu. I expected to discuss best options for my pet. This is why we go to a vet !! We go to the doctor and the doctor tells his patients what they suggest you should have in the way of treatment and tests. So so overrated. Your response is clearly defensive and incorrect. The fact that you have attempted to shame me as a pet parent says more than you can say. I will also add that I have not given you permission to discuss my pets medical information on a public forum. This validated my decision to leave the appointment without being seen.

Experiencia negativa: If you own a large breed dog please stay clear from this facility. Prior to my appointment they told me to give him gabapentin with acepromazine a day before his appointment. I only had a trazadone to give him and I called in and they told me that should be fine. Sorry I didn't give him a medication I was never prescribed. Thats on you. When this “Dr.” came in she said “mom you really should be giving him acepromazine and gabapentin because trazadone doesnt do anything “ and I informed her I called and I got a text about prescriptions I was never prescribed and she said you should've contacted us I had stated I DID. I get he is a large breed dog but don’t work in this industry if you’re scared of a big dog thats nothing but friendly and excited. I asked for my records in hand before leaving and she had no concern of why because she couldn’t care less. I came to this clinic due to reviews but actions speak louder than words. My forms shows Nobivac 3 year rabies as I called TWO times to understand why my papers show 1 year she acted bothered and annoyed in her tone of voice. Stating I have no trust with her since I asked about a sticker that says 3 years (like I should know what the manufacturer puts on labels) and she told me shes terminated the account as it was already terminated from my end when I walked out with my records for my dog???No wonder she has staff come and go. Fix your attitude or else you will lose business. Side note the vet techs were friendly and no complaints.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feelings. We absolutely love large and giant breed dogs and provide exceptional veterinary care for them on the daily. Regardless of patient size, from a Chihuahua to a Great Dane, an anxious or fear aggressive pet would likely benefit from oral anxiety medication prior to stressful events such as veterinary visits. This enables us to be more thorough with our patient care and it also keeps our staff safe. We made multiple attempts to explain the vaccine manufacturer label and protocols with you. At some point you should trust your healthcare provider..... or find a new one. You have made it very clear that our veterinary practice is not a good fit for you. We agree. We have no time, space or energy for negativity, entitlement, or insults. We hope your furry friend gets the training and veterinary care he desperately needs.

Experiencia fantástica: We’ve been going to Furever Family since we got our dog as a puppy (over 4 years now) and the doctor and the whole staff is just excellent. I have a very fearful dog and they’re so accommodating for her and make everything as quick and painless as possible. They’re very upfront with all costs and I never feel like they’re charging me for stuff we don’t really need. Couldn’t speak more highly of them!

Experiencia fantástica: This is the second visit to Furever Family and it is always a pleasure. It is good to go to a place where they don’t make you feel like a terrible person if you don’t give your dog a certain vaccine or heartworm tablet. Not that we wouldn’t but there is something about how they treat you that doesn’t feel overbearing and judgmental. And they are so good with our Doxxie!

I called Furever Family Animal Hospital and after discussing the symptoms, they made time to see Roscoe that morning during their busy day. The office staff was very kind and was up front with costs, making sure I was comfortable with each step. They shared insights on how Roscoe was doing when the doctor called after the tests were done. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone! We were looking for a new vet for yearly check ups and booked a new patient appointment for Roscoe a few weeks out. We can’t wait to see them again!

Experiencia fantástica: Just incredible!!! Beyond exceeded my expectations by far! One of the hardest parts of moving to a new town is trying to find the perfect vet for my pups. Tried another one out prior too and was just all around dissatisfied. Even my Husky didn’t like them, so that told us a lot cause he loves everyone. After reading reviews and getting recommendations, I booked an appointment with Furever Family for my other dog, Sunshine ☀️. First off, I loved the fact that they have you call them when you pull in the parking lot, so they can clear the lobby of any other pets. Walked in to a welcoming staff and was such a homey feeling. We were promptly taken back into the exam room, after getting weighed. Dr. Armstrong and her staff are just amazing! They actually get down on the floor to the dogs level, to interact and gain trust. Never had another vet do that ever! They also genuinely care too . Other vets seem to be money hungry and want to do the most expensive treatments. Not Furever! They do what’s right, for both you and your pet! Even recommended an outside spay/neuter clinic that is super affordable, instead of paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars! Even the nice touch on the bag, filled my heart with warmth. If anyone who reads this review is looking for a new vet, I 1000% recommend Furever. You will not be disappointed at all and it’ll become your best friends second home

Canceled me when I was 10 min late for being 15 min early for my appointment (still would have been on time), even though I called to let them know traffic was making delaying me. Wouldn’t reschedule for another month after waiting a month for this appointment. There are too many better and more customer friendly options. Go elsewhere.
Thank you for reaching out to share your experience. Unfortunately 2 nearby hospitals have closed their doors and we are doing our very best to serve the community. We are understaffed like every other industry and took in several emergencies from established clients/patients afer the hurricane weekend. We do request all appointments arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your designated appointment time. Your party called and stated you would be 10 minutes or more late. New clients with new patients are time consuming appointments and we need these to start promptly as scheduled. Unfortunately we have a single doctor practice and a small team, and starting appointments late will affect all of the other clients and patients who also need veterinary care. We are very upfront about our policies and offered to reschedule your family. I am sorry we didn't get to meet you or the furkids today, but we are happy to reschedule you for a better time that works for your family.

Experiencia negativa: **update** after posting my review in the local community page, the “manager” who is really the owner, sent me a PM threatening me with a libel lawsuit. I am new to the area, and dealing with a senior dog in need of end of life care. The "office manager" is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I spoke with a really nice young lady at first, trying to make an appointment to euthanize my very sick elderly dog. She asked me to describe my 14 year old dogs symptoms, and asked me to hold on one moment while she checked the calendar. A different lady, without identifying herself, came to the phone and her demeanor was completely different. She told me that they don't schedule euthanasia appointments, and the doctor would decide if my dog needs to be euthanized. I told her that I had already explained to the other lady what was going on with my dog, and said that I know my dog, and I did not make this decision lightly. She continued to be rude and dismissive, so when I asked for her name, she hung up on me. I called back, and when I asked if she was the lady who hung up on me, she said "oh my God" and put me on hold. I waited, and she picked up again, and I asked for her name, and she hung up. I called back a third time to try to get her name, and told her that I was so upset I'd be leaving reviews because of how poorly she treated me. She laughed and said "if that's what you feel you need to do". Her name was Deanna or Diana. Very sick to treat someone so poorly.

Experiencia negativa: Updated...your response is exactly like your "consultation", rude, condescending and insinuating I'm not caring for this cat. I am. Your office was one of many vets he has seen in trying to get answers and treatment. Had you bothered to look at the records before you called me after examining the cat or before my appointment even you would have known the other vets office failed to send you the CT report. They sent it directly to you and I didn't see them but I asked them to send the report. Please don't insinuate the lack of bedside manner is because I deserved it because I didn't. No further response is necessary. The veterinarian Dr. Armstrong called me before even looking at the CT report for my cat which then they realized they never actually received. I was unaware it had not been sent by the other veterinarian's office and had I known ahead of time I could have rectified the situation or Coordinated Time for the veterinarians to talk. I found the vet to be very rude, argumentative, and was basically berating me for I'm assuming a lack of perceived care of this cat which is completely off base. This cat has had a multitude of diagnostic testing and is still waiting for additional treatment and diagnostics. I run a rescue and I can't always get cats seen immediately as I am subject to the availability of the treatment providers and transport and I largely operate based upon donations so I must be cognizant of funds however I will not let that prohibit an animal in my care from receiving medical treatment. All the vet had to say was she couldn't perform the procedure I was seeking at that clinic and leave it at that. I will give the rest of the veterinarians the benefit of the doubt but I still will not be taking any of my animals to this Clinic ever again.

After my physical exam and review of your kitty's medical records, I shared my honest and professional opinion on your rescue cat's MANY health concerns. We do request all records in advanced to review them. Unfortunately you failed to provide the CT report, which is unfortunate for everyone involved. I recommended referral for specialty level care for your pet. Our practice is a small family-owned general practice; we have limitations for the services we are able to provide. Some pets are in need of specialty care, just like human medicine with cardiologists, surgeons, and internal medicine doctors. These specialists exist in veterinary medicine as well... and I recommended your pet to be seen by them. I provided you with resources to help your cat get the care it deserves. I was doing my best to not waste your time or money. Our hospital is well known for being transparent and honest with our pet parents, even if those things can be challenging to accept. We do wish you the best and I hope your kitty receives the care it desperately needs.
Experiencia negativa: As loyal customers of Furever Family since 2020, we were shocked recently to hear that our dog’s Preventative Care Plan had not been renewed, without any advance notice. While the contract states that the owner must give written notice to cancel the policy, there is no mention in the contract about the procedures involved if Furever Family cancels the policy. As a courtesy, we should have been informed by letter, email, or phone call. This is a common practice to inform clients when a policy cancellation is imminent. Unfortunately, we only found out when we initiated the phone call to make the dog’s regular exam appointments with the technician on duty. When inquiring about the reason for the cancellation, the technician offered the following explanation: the doctor/owner said that we had made too many complaints about our dog’s care. We asked for clarification as a good pet owner, inquiring about our dog’s examinations and bloodwork. To remain a client at Furever Family, it seems that the pet owner must never question Dr. Armstrong. In order to understand Dr. Armstrong’s reasoning, I asked to speak with her directly. An appointment was made for an in-person visit and then a few minutes later I received a phone message from the doctor explaining that she would not meet with me, that our dogs were too old to remain with the plan, that we had complained too often about our dog’s care, and that the clinic was not a good fit for us. Dr. Armstrong then said that our contract was cancelled and we would have to pay out-of-pocket for our expenses. Since the Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets UR Dry dog food, was prescribed by the doctor, the ingredients have made our dogs vomit. Dr. Armstrong gave us no other options, except to give the dogs a Tagamet tablet. We can only surmise that one of the reasons for the doctor’s lack of flexibility on this issue was her alliance with the pet company. It was also difficult to understand Furever Family's prescription process. Dr. Armstrong was very hostile when we asked for clarification on her methods. We won’t go through the whole summary here. Cancelling our insurance without any advanced notice was a vindictive way for Dr. Armstrong to get rid of us. As explained earlier, our questions to the doctor about our dog’s care were categorized as complaints. She would then become very defensive and say that we could always find another vet. And now we have found another veterinary clinic, a facility where all our inquiries are welcomed, without all the issues we encountered at Furever Family.
Howard, thank you for taking the time to share your most recent experiences. There seems to be some miscommunication regarding our services, policies, and hospital atmosphere. The preventive care package that your pets were on are not an insurance policy by any means. They are a 12 month commitment to provide well rounded annual veterinary care at a low monthly cost. These packages are at my discretion and are not meant for geriatric patients with compromised health. Unfortunately both of your dogs have aged over the three years we have cared for them and are no longer considered a candidate for these packages. We fulfilled your packages every year and all the services that they include. Unfortunately there were many visits during your time with us where you complained about our services, what the packages did or did not include, and were challenging for myself and the staff to make you happy regardless of our efforts. I have tried price matching your veterinary prescriptions, writing you outside prescriptions for you to have filled anywhere you choose, or special ordering your pets medications for you. All of which made you unhappy. My policy for written prescriptions is for the safety and well-being of our patients, which will always be my #1 priority. I realize this can be inconvenient at times, but it is for good reason. A colleague of mine had a patient pass away after a human pharmacy filled the wrong medication and dosage. So having these things written down on paper to avoid confusion or miscommunication will always be my policy. This is to ensure my patients are getting the correct medications at the correct dose. I do apologize for any miscommunication and tried to discuss all of this over the phone with you. I left you a detailed voicemail and asked you to call back so we could discuss your concerns in a professional capacity. I was unable to grant an in-person meeting due to my time constraints with appointments and patient care. Unfortunately you never called back, so I was never given the opportunity to help you. I do wish you and your sweet dogs the very best and hope they find the excellent veterinary care they deserve. We will always welcome you and them as a regular out of pocket client, which is what the staff were trying to explain in great detail to you. Warm regards, Dr. A.
Experiencia negativa: This veteranarian establishment has some policies that I didn't particularly like. My last visit 7/2023 was not a good experience, in addition to their policies, especially due to the fact that they don't carry my dog's flea and tick treatment any longer, and now dispense only one brand, Bravecto, a 3-month pill that has a high potential for causing seizures. I felt like I was at a new car dealership, negotiating the cost for the visit with all the back and forth between myself while waiting in the exam room for my dog to be seen, and the desk clerk coming in and out of the room with a different set of services and total cost for services, when I had prior told them exactly what I wanted done that day for his annual visit. More than a half hour later and I'm told that I'm expected to pay for the visit BEFORE services are rendered, and on top of that the vet was late and never even made it into the exam room. I ended up leaving without my dog being seen, as I just did not have a good feeling about the place at all after all of this. Your pet is a commodity first here, in my opinion.
We appreciate you sharing your experience. We do our very best to be transparent with the price of each item and determine all of the services a client would like performed for their pet. We were not late at all, but we actually spent a lot of time working with you on services offered and the prices for each. We do require payment for services rendered at the time of your visit. As a small business and a family-owned company, we cannot afford to have accounts with a balance. The staff did their best to work within your financial constraints. You refused to pay for the services and chose to leave on your accord. We do wish you find the veterinary care your pet desperately needs.
Experiencia negativa: 1/2023 - Change of Heart -– I previously left a raving 5-star review for Furever Animal Hospital after my initial visit. I have since changed my mind. They apparently didn’t like me asking a lot of questions about their flea and heartworm prescription policies after receiving erroneous information from them that Chewy and 1800PetMeds don’t accept electronic prescriptions. I was hoping they would try to make the process a little easier. I tried to initially order the meds from Furever’s website but they only carry 3 brands. I needed a different brand because Border Collies can have a gene that doesn’t mix well with certain meds and can kill them. So, I ordered from 1800petmeds and they informed me that Furever would not accept the electronic communication (even though Furever told me it was 1800petmeds that wouldn’t communicate electronically). I had to call Furever and request the specific prescription for the meds, they emailed me a waiver absolving Furever from any liability that I had to sign in front of a witness, email it back, wait for the doctor to write the prescription, receive another email that the prescripti8ons were ready for pick up, go pick up the prescriptions, send them via US Mail to 1800petmeds and wait for 1800petmeds to receive and process the flea med order. Furever’s doctor said her colleague had a mixup with a prescription with an outside vendor so now they do everything manually. I told them I understood the waiver and requesting the prescription but asked could they just send the prescription directly to 1800petmeds but they cannot. The doctor called me a couple days later and asked if I had any questions because she heard that I had questions when I picked up the hard prescriptions from her staff. I said yes, I have questions. She was very defensive, seemed angry and talked over me the whole time. She said I was rude to her staff (which I didn’t think I was but I did ask several questions that they repeatedly answered, “This is how the doctor wants it done”.) The doctor ended the call telling me that it sounds like we are not a good match and I should find another vet. Maybe she didn’t like me ordering the meds elsewhere and definitely didn’t like me asking questions. The whole process was very secretive and super cumbersome. It was a lot just for some flea meds.

We will provide a written prescription for any client who requests one. These written prescriptions can be filled at any pharmacy of your choosing. We do not have a fax, and we do not provide call in prescriptions. There have been reported cases with colleagues where the wrong medication was filled at the wrong dosage, which resulted in serious life-threatening consequences for the pet. With online vendors and foreign pharmacies, we want to ensure our patients are receiving the correct medications at the correct dose. I realize this can be cumbersome, but our policy is for patient safety and well-being, which is our number one priority. Both my staff and I spent a lot of time trying to help you with the process, but were unsuccessful without your understanding and compassion for why this policy exists. We wish you the best in finding a better fit for your furkids and family.

Experiencia fantástica: My cat Ali was due for her vaccination & I was looking for an inexpensive well rated veterinarian. Found this online & was pleasantly surprised pricing was on their website. Made the appointment & found the staff friendly & efficient. The pricing transparent & the facilities clear. This was thankfully a routine visit with a healthy well behaved cat so I’m unable to speak towards the vet’s knowledge &/or problem solving skills. Yes I would recommend this location & I’ve already made an appointment for my second cat Jezebel which although healthy & only in need of routine vaccines isn’t as social or easily treated. I explained she turns into a spitting wild cat & the vet suggested I drop her off early morning & pick her up mid afternoon. Vet advised they’ll attempt to treat her without drugging her but provided me with an estimate in case it was necessary. I’m keeping my fingers crossed the staff & vet are as successful with my wild cat as they were with my friendly social one.

As a first time dog owner I naturally had a lot of questions and concerns and they took the time to sit down and answer all of those without feeling rushed at all. They help you determine what is most important treatment-wise. I’m a college student so money can be tight and hate when veterinarians act like I don’t care about my pet just because I can’t afford every single thing they suggest. Every person deserves the love and care of a pet and shouldn’t be judged for their financial limitations, I’ll do what I need to keep my dog healthy but don’t like being tricked into giving him things he doesn’t necessarily need. Overall they are so kind and I know my guy is in good hands whenever I go there! :)

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could have even experience taking my pet to this place, but they were very unprofessional not giving complete information of how the drop-off process works and changing my appointment twice to :better accommodate my pet". As a first time customer I do not feel comfortable leaving my pet alone in a place I don't know, and they didn't explain my 7:40 am app. was a drop-off. After rescheduling, they call me the day of the app. to tell me they can no longer accommodate my pet if I didn't bring him in another time slot otherwise they will have to reschedule again. As I got frustrated with them, they did nothing to provide a solution and just hang up the phone at me when I told them they were being unprofessional. I wouldn't trust my dog, ever, to them.

Our doctor had a death in the family and we had to move some appointments around to make sure we had an appropriate amount of time to offer exceptional veterinary care.
