Fantastic experience: Dr. Mandi is the best! He takes care of my brachycephalic daughter and treats her with the utmost respect and care! He also is very caring with my senior baby and helping us navigate her dementia so she will live a long healthy life! He is fantastic!

Positive experience: Everyone was EXCELLENT! I only gave 4 stars because it was my first visit with my cat, Jasper, who is really sick with urinary issues. The Doc was extremely thorough, while being nonjudgementally honest with the prices along with possible outcomes! A FIRST for me! If things continue, I will more than likely start bringing my dog to this vet for care also.

Fantastic experience: My 13-year-old kitty, Iris, has been sick for almost two months. I took her to another vet 3 times and the third time the vet told me I should have her put to sleep. I wasn't ready to do that, so I tried Crysler. Dr. Bowen and his assistant have been doing all they can to save Iris. I don't know if she will pull through this or not but I am pleased with the compassion we have received at Crysler.

Negative experience: First time I have ever been to a vet and not gotten a diagnosis for my pet!! I brought my cat in lethargic, disheveled, not feeling well with 104.4 temp. The assistant was loud and impatient with my cat when she struggled with being held down. The Dr told me “he doesn’t pass out antibiotics all Willy nilly” I left there paying 200$ for exam and bloodwork and my cat came home still sick. Got a phone call saying all the bloodwork was fine it was most likely a “viral infection” and when I got upset he tried explaining antibiotic stewardship to me about taking more than needed could cause her to become resistant…. I’m a nurse! Understand that HOWEVER I’ve had 10 cats in my lifetime and NEVER gave any antibiotics! Pretty sure she’d be fine! Now here it is 4 days later my cat is NO BETTER and to find out what’s wrong with her they want me to pay AGAIN!!!!??? I’ll never take another animal there again, I’ll take the day off work and go to the vet on Noland that has never failed me! This place is a complete rip off!!! Keep that 200$ I’ll find someone who actually wants to help my cat!!!

His gentleness and compassion are ever present and his patience and kindness to me have been invaluable. He has guided my beloved dogs through puppy hood mishaps, the most difficult end of life care, and everything in between. Every question has been carefully answered and every worried phone call returned. He is a gifted veterinarian. His office manager, Maureen Rettig, is also amazing!

Fantastic experience: Dr Mandi and his vet tech were excellent. He gave my dog (fur baby) a real exam. He looked at her eyes, ears, teeth and checked her belly. They even took her temperature. My dog got a little peanut butter for a treat. I didn't feel rushed. The office staff was very friendly and helpful too!

Fantastic experience: I recently started coming to this vet clinic and their service, care, and professionalism are truly top tier! It doesn't matter which vet you see (I've seen them all) the service here is unmatched! They are always friendly and answer any questions I ask. They are quick to help you get an appointment for both the regular services or for odd one time issues. The health of my two cats has improved since coming to Crysler Veterinary Hospital. I have recommended Crysler Animal Hospital and will continue to do so anytime someone is know needs a vet.

Fantastic experience: I'm sure many local vet offices give great routine care. I can tell you what sets Crysler Animal Hospital above them all is when you need care that is not routine. You can count on this office when the worst happens. They will have your back and get you through it. They kindly helped us get our very senior pair of dogs to Rainbow Bridge.This summer they helped us navigate new, aggressive lymphoma in our 2 year old puppy, which ended in urgent euthanasia. (We couldn't have survived that without their attention and compassion.) Our latest rescue is an abuse survivor, and every staff member has been great with her. Even our red heeler is good there... definitely a 5-star experience!

Fantastic experience: I’ve used Crysler Animal Hospital for over 30 years… Knowledgeable, professional and caring Drs, awesome staff, welcoming and clean environment—everything you need for your beloved pet!!

Negative experience: Everyone was friendly, but I left concerned about the level of cat-specific knowledge at this vet. When I mentioned my cat’s Feline Idiopathic Cystitis flare up, the vet said he had never heard of the condition and treated the visit as a UTI. FIC is the most common urinary condition in felines which was very concerning the vet was unaware. I had to advocate for pain control medication, which was hesitantly prescribed and my cat became more stressed during handling. Cat owners with urinary or chronic issues may want to choose a more feline-focused practice.

Negative experience: Edit to add: Listing what all goes into a Neuter, absolutely DOES NOT justify $562 to Neuter a cat. I have personally seen several spay/neuters done, and it’s a very quick, VERY routine procedure. It’s $150 at the INDEPENDENCE ANIMAL HOSPITAL, which is where we will go for our pet care from now on. These people just quoted me $562 to Nueter a CAT! These people are completely OUT of their minds. There are so many better options in Independence. Do not use this hospital. The do not care about pet care, they care about MONEY. Greedy Greedy Greedy.

Fantastic experience: Good veterinarians and care. Both Dr Harsha & Dr Mandy seem to be good vets. Of the two, I have seen Dr Harsha more, not because of preference, but because of availability for that particular day, I believe. Either one of them are a good choice for the care of your pet. As with any medical visit, have a written list of your concerns & problems you may be experiencing with your pet so that you leave any veterinarian that you've chosen feeling confident in the care your pet received. Pricing is competitive, so if thats a big factor, call around to various locations in your area & choose you pets care with that information. We recently adopted our new dog (he's a 'Morkie') through KC Pet Project (2ND adoption through them) & we opted for Fetch pet insurance while we were wrapping things up to bring him home. There's a $250 deductible before reimbursement kicks in & more than one plan, so check it out for yourself!

Fantastic experience: My dog is almost 16, I just changed veterinarians after my experience at Crysler, the staff was very careful to get my dogs history and my hopes for her senior year's. The vet was careful and patient as she was dealing with dental issues and in obvious pain, he acknowledged her age and didn't think it advisable to put her under anesthesia witch was a valid concern for me, he put her on antibiotics and pain meds, she is already shown signs of improvement 2 days later, looking forward to the follow up visit.

Negative experience: This review is hard for me. Overall our pets have had great care from this animal hospital, but yesterday when I went to pick up my dog, the receptionist Natalie didn’t so much as give me eye contact when I walked in. She kept her eyes completely on her computer, not once looking up to acknowledge or greet me, after a bit she asked who I was picking up, told me to have a seat, then proceeded to shout out (for the entire lobby to hear) what they worked on with my dog and that the total was $209! It was overall the rudest experience I’ve had here. After spending $330 bucks for our dogs ear infections and cleaning, a proper greeting should be the least they could give!

Fantastic experience: The Doctors, Groomer, vet tecs and receptionists at Crysler animal hospital are all very nice and professional I recently took my 12 year old cat there for her shots and a lion cut because her back became matted. We picked her back up the same day and she looks great and is a happy girl.

The place means a lot to me, because when I was in high school, I worked part-time there for Dr. Tom Needels, who originally opened the clinic. I highly recommend this place. I was speechless and elated with her visit, grooming and some boosters. SHARA, Natalie, and Hallie were beyond wonderful and picky Lilly loved them all!!! That's the most important part of all! Fantastic experience: I would give them 10 stars if I could! My husband and I are owned by a 124 pound pit/mastiff/Corso mix named Karma Blue. He is 6yrs old and a lovable but grumpy old man. We normally go to Animed on 7hwy who we absolutely love. We had called them Tuesday morning when we noticed that Karma would not bear weight on his back left leg. We got very concerned and called animed and they were booked solid with no wiggle room at all. They too were very concerned about Karma so they called Crysler and even though they were very busy that day they made him a spot at the end of the day. Because he is a pit and he was in a good amount of pain we asked for a muzzle just in case. We got there at 5:15 and they provided us with the biggest muzzle they had. Already our old friend was super anxious. We walked him in and were met by 2 very sweet vet techs a very sweet receptionist who got us in a room immediately. Like before I even had time to fill out paperwork. We weren't in the room but a minute when a very kind Dr. Bowan (not sure if I spelled that correctly. If not I'm sorry Doc) came in. Because Karma was nervous and in pain he did not want to be looked at but the dr and the tech were so patient and kind. I was expecting an x-ray and a bunch of other costly tests and was really sweating it because my husband is a disabled combat veteran and we are on a fixed income. The Dr examined Karma and in about 5 minutes knew exactly what was wrong. Karma had a partial tear in his ACL. We were completely shocked. He took the time to carefully explain how the injury most likely happened. He got out a bone model of the knee and carefully explained what the injury was, what it means, how he was going to treat it and the prognosis. He explained that often times it requires surgery but he's like to approach it conservatively first as surgery would be around $4,000-$5,000. He said we would try medication and keeping him off his leg as much as possible without the hopes it would be healed by March. Within about 20 minutes our visit had concluded and we had his medication. By the end of the visit we were able to take the muzzle off and he made friends with everyone in the office. I cannot put into words the relief we felt knowing our old friend was going to be ok and we didn't have to come up with thousands of dollars on the spot that frankly, we just don't have. What could have been an office visit costing hundreds of dollars for xrays and a $5,000 surgery ended up being under $200. We've had dogs for the last 28yrs. We've seen a lot of vets for varies issues and while some of them were excellent, some were very much about going straight to the most costly options. That was not the case here. The Dr had karmas best interest at heart and ours too. He did everything possible to make sure Karma was taken care of and we would not be put into debt that would take us years to pay off. I am so incredibly thankful for them. I wish I could give them 10 stars because they deserve it. They went above and beyond for our dear old friend and we are greatful. 2 days later Karma is doing great. We see the dr in 2 weeks. Thank you Crysler animal hospital! You guys are the best!❤️

Fantastic experience: We brought our 15 year old German Sheppard Rottweiler to Crysler Animal Hospital this morning because our usual vet was closed for Christmas Eve. He was in pain, struggling to walk, and couldn't get comfortable. We were worried he may have had a dislocated leg or something serious that couldnt wait until after the holiday to address, but no other local vet I called would see him. Thankfully, Dr. Mandi and the rest of the staff welcomed us in with no questions asked and were eager to get us some answers. They did a physical exam and determined he was likely experiencing an arthritis flare-up, then walked us through steps we can take to keep him comfortable over the next few weeks until we can get him scheduled for a full exam with bloodwork and scans and discuss further care. They were knowledgeable and friendly and extremely compassionate towards our grumpy old guy. He is now resting comfortably at home with a fresh nail trim, and my husband and I can carry on with our holidays with peace of mind and the assurance that our fur baby will be in good hands from now on. Fantastic experience: This place is the friendliness place I have ever been to. They love my animals, dogs, like they are their animals. My boys love them. Doc is so caring and doesn't give up on helping my dogs. He contacted other Dr's. Out of state to make sure my little Abby was getting the best help that could be. She lived 16 years. Ollie was 20 when his time was up. He first went deaf then blind. Ollie just wasn't ready to leave me. I would never take my babies some place else. They love going there. Been going for over 24 years.

Fantastic experience: My dog swallowed something she shouldn’t have and they got her in immediately and were able to retrieve the object. They were kind, understanding, and non judgmental. They clearly were happy that Juno was feeling better and also checked on me. The facility was clean and people were friendly. My only complaint was that as it was dark outside it was difficult to see with no lights on the sign, but we will be going back for regular care soon!

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience with this veterinary clinic. My dog was scheduled for what was supposed to be a normal professional grooming. It took an entire month to get the appointment, during which I received multiple confirmation texts leading up to the day—so there was no indication of any issues beforehand. When I arrived for the appointment, I was suddenly told that my dog could not be seen unless he was brought up to date on vaccinations, and I was presented with a surprise bill totaling $220. This was never communicated to me at any point prior to my appointment. Had I been informed ahead of time, I could have planned accordingly or rescheduled without wasting time. When I explained that I wasn’t prepared for that unexpected cost and would need to reschedule, the staff became rude and dismissive, acting as if they didn’t even want to provide me with an invoice. After leaving, I called the office to speak with someone about why this information was not disclosed beforehand, and the call was hung up on me. This was unprofessional, disrespectful, and a complete lack of customer service. I will never be returning and would not recommend this clinic to anyone looking for clear communication or basic courtesy.

Fantastic experience: Got an appointment really soon. They treated my geriatric and timid cat with extreme care. They all seem very professional and caring. I hope they can figure out the cause of the concerns with her blood on her next test.

They have helped me with everything from helping My Sophia pass to welcoming my newest addition into my world. My youngest has a lot of allergies and Dr. Harsha has been very helpful and helped me save money too. This is an amazing vet clinic and I won’t go anywhere else.

You can book appointments online, their hours are really good (including Saturday mornings) and I have been able to bring my kitty in on short notice when I needed to. I like Dr. Harsha very much- he seems to really like his job and the staff genuinely loves animals. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: We took our cat to the Emergency Vet and found out she had a urinary tract infection, and her glucose was high, they gave her an antibiotic shot and said we needed to go to our own vet in the next 4 or 5 days to have her glucose checked again just to make sure. They were happy to help, they always are, they've always been so caring and helpful! Come to find out she has diabetes and they showed us how to administer the insulin. I was a bit nervous, but she showed and explained it really well.

Fantastic experience: It is ALWAYS a five star experience with Dr. Schweitzer and his amazing staff. It took me years to find a vet that would take me and my pet ducks seriously. Dr. Schweitzer understand I love them like other people love their dogs and cats, and he treats them as such. And he is amazingly smart! It is very difficult to find someone who understands ducks. While he does not claim to know everything, she has a network he can reach out to you with questions, and he does so. I trust him completely.

Fantastic experience: The doctor here, and the staff, clearly care a great deal for animals. My puppy Cass was very sick, I spent $800 at the ER for him with not much resolution. I went to Crysler for a second opinion, and a few rounds of medicine and my boy is back. I thought I was going to lose him, and I couldn't stomach that thought. The doc here is very kind and professional, and saw my boy 30 minutes before close just to make sure he's alright. This will be my only vet from here on out. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with the Doctor that did my boys torn ACL surgery. He explained everything very well in detail of what needed to be done! Now my boy is doing Great!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Negative experience: Update 11-06-2024: These people are guilty of the same thing all the vets are doing now, holding you hostage with your pets prescriptions, almost killed my dog: I visited the facility for the 3rd time for my dogs heartworm shot. Within one week he was horribly sick and lethargic. I was panicking. Then my girlfriend and I remembered the last 2 times we went to the vet for heart shot he was very ill and we had to take him back for another treatment and of course another large charge. So I went to the vet location and asked them to pul up the chart for my dog. Sure enough, the last two times we were back in in a week for medication. I have repeatedly called to visit with the vet but they will not call me back with a prescription for heartworm that I can buy online. These people are very cunning crooks who lul you into a false sense of security with your pets but they are nothing more than a chop shop for your pets....not doctors for sure. AVOID!! Excellent prices and good people
