Fantastic experience: They did an absolutely beautiful job helping my girl get spayed. She retired from breeding so we wanted to make sure she could live out the rest of her life retired, and thanks to their prices we could! Thier staff were very helpful and kept me updated! Fantastic experience: First of all I would like to say Thank You pet Resource center of Kansas City. For doing a wonderful job with my Boy Bubba Jr. I was very nervous about leaving him to be neutered and shots and being chipped. And also for the medicine to help him with his allergies. I am disabled and caring full time for my 84yr old mother and he is our support dog . And all the staff was very nice and I would recommend them for anybody that wants Great care for your animal. Fantastic experience: Our two girls were spayed here, and both times everything was fantastic. The people who work here care about the pets so much! Our 4-year-old dog had an unexpected issue during surgery (pyometra), and they treated her with the utmost care and concern. Our puppy didn't do well with her anesthesia, and so they carried her 40-lb self to my car after the surgery. I also appreciate the lower-cost prices for spays. My vet was going to charge 4x as much! Thank you for all you do, PRCKC!

Fantastic experience: I just recently received an email reminding me that it’s time for my cat to get her shots again. Life gets crazy sometimes so I appreciate the reminder. I brought my cat here when I first took her in. She was taken care of so well, spay, shots and a check up. They offer low cost spay and neuter services for people that couldn’t otherwise get care for their fur babies and that my friends is absolutely amazing. They do have a small drawback and that’s that you have to wait in your car until someone comes to get your pet, which can take quite a while sometimes.To me, it’s worth the wait. I’ll be back for sure

Negative experience: I suggest they change their policy. I went there this morning at 5 AM. I was in spot number two to be seen for the urgent clinic and then as time went on others also came and filled up all the spots and then not only that people were parking in the nut numbered spots and everybody rushed to the front door and even though I’ve been there since 5 AM and spot number two I was not given a form to fill out to get my pet seat so I had to leave without my pet being seen, which was I think not good the lady at the door said the spots don’t mean anything so parking in the numbered spots doesn’t signify that you have been there and that you’re in a spot to be seen and I really think that they need to update that because people bombarded at the front door, they had not been there that had just gotten there and I had sat there for two hours to be seen those parking spots with the numbers labeled on them should be the people that get the forms to fill out to have their pet seen and not the people that have bombarded at the door and didn’t wait their turn. They know the rules and how this works so they shouldn’t pop up at the last minute and expecting to get form to be filled out. Other people make this unreasonable and so does pet resource. It is very unreasonable and very unorganized..

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for the pet resource center. They have helped me twice with my cats when I was hurt and had no income they worked with me on payments and took very good care of my cats. They are wonderful people and very professional. I recommend them for anyone seeking a vet for their animals .

Negative experience: Not affordable at all... went to get a quote for my dogs teeth extraction and to get him neutered. They were double what a normal vet would charge!!

Negative experience: Straight terrible service . Y'all tell me to go to the website to make an appointment for my dog.And then when I get to website, I can't make an appointment because the website says, I have to call y'all but yet every time I try to call y'all it's to an automated voice messaging system. It's like people forgot how to answer phones.

Fantastic experience: This was the second time I took my furry friend to get surgery. I would definitely recommend them especially if you need inexpensive spay or neuter for your animal. They take good care of the animals. At less than half price of a traditional vet.

Fantastic experience: They are awesome! The staff is kind and knowledgeable. The process is very simple to follow to drop off and pick up your pet. They give you all the information you need for aftercare if your pet has surgery. They help so many people in need and it’s wonderful the help they provide. Fantastic experience: Pet Resource Center of Kansas City does incredible work for our community and I feel very fortunate to have been able to avail of their services. Lower cost veterinarian services allow people like me, who can’t seem to say no to taking in rescue animals that are desperate for a home, to continue to do so. Dr. Wilson performed a spay surgery on a 12-year old dog that I was basically forced to take in when she was abandoned by her owners who had had her for her entire life. With three dogs of my own already, my normal veterinary clinic quoted me over $1,000 to spay her. Thankfully, they referred me to PRKC and the surgery was then doable for me. I greatly appreciated PRKC’s upfront communication regarding all costs and what I should expect. I also was amazed by how efficient the check-in and check-out process was. I urge you to read their website throughly as everything is explained clearly on what exactly you should expect. Again, another major thanks to Dr. Wilson and the dental team for taking such great care of my old gal!

Fantastic experience: Had the best experience taking my kitten to get spayed. The employees were very knowledgeable and experienced. They even have an outdoor drop off and pickup. I was even sent home with pain medicine. I can’t even believe how fast my little one has recovered. I will continue bringing her here and am already referring others to go there. Five stars from me. Fantastic experience: I moved here to KC in 2021. I started taking my kids to PRCKC because of all the referrals I was given for them. First it was just my 1 kid going to them. My family has grown to 7 since then, not including the homeless and injured animals that seem to show up at my feet/my house. Can you guess where I take them? PRCKC! I am always satisfied with the service they provide, the love and care they show them. In the beginning it was a little strange ie: the pull-up car service, leaving messages for assistance, etc. After your first appointment it’s a breeze/no longer confused. It makes perfect sense. They call you back with you within 24 hrs and usually the same day. If you think the prices are a little high please call around to other vets here in the KC area. Local vets are pretty high. I don’t want anyone to think I’m misleading them if you drive (depending on where you live) 2+ hours away you will find spay and neuter with vaccine for less. But if you’re local to KC then it’s not worth it. Factoring in gas, time there, time waiting (6 hrs) there or driving back to KC wait a few minutes then driving back to pick them up, and then driving back home again well, I’d say that for us local to KC and surrounding area we just can’t beet PRCKC. With them you not only receive great pricing and assistance for those that need financial help, you get quality staff that are there for you and your family. P.S. They really try to keep families together. If you need assistance/help to care for your family members. Reach out to PRCKC!

Special shout out to Kaylah who was thorough and detailed about the process and making sure I understood the process as well as the directions for before and after care. She truly cares about the patients (pets) and the owners. She went above and beyond and it doesn't go unnoticed. Fantastic experience: Really wonderful people work here!! I've had a good experience from having my community cats neutered, treated for injury, and most recently for dental work. Plan on spending some time in line in the parking lot for drop-off and pick-up, and It's worth it to get there early. I'm so happy with every employee I encounter there from the check-in station to vets and staff. If you're having a hard time reaching them by phone or email, just show up and talk to someone. Consider donating here if you're able. This place is an incredible resource for the community and I'm so thankful for the work they've done for my outdoor kitties!!

Fantastic experience: PetResource is amazing. I'm so glad to say that they have literally went out of their way to help me and my fur babies. After I had my boy neutered, a week later he got an ear infection and they worked with me knowing how big he is and that I don't have a vehicle while staff was picking up my little girl they looked at his ears and took pictures and got him the medicine he needed. Thank you all. Kujo and Diamond are both fixed and only because of the amazing staff. I will always take my pets there.

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely phenomenal and I am being so serious very compassionate and comprehensive team that knows what they’re doing and the fact that they are literally helping the community and sometimes there are ZERO FEES involved for those who cannot pay. Unbelievable they did the same quality and care of work as a private veterinarian They were timely. They were friendly. They got the job done. I would absolutely recommend this facility. Fantastic experience: Had my dog spayed at Pet Resource and they went above and beyond! Not only did she recieve her much needed surgery she also got her nails trimmed and her feet looked so pretty. I hate clipping her nails too short because of the kwik but these looked fantastic! Didnt appreciate her being sent home with resource saying she was CHUBBY but I guess the truth hurts. LOL Hey Pet Resource at least my FAT GIRL is happy! LOL

Positive experience: Excellent system from check in to pick up. Only issue was applied for financial aid. Was told would have a response week of service. Never received a response and had to pay regular price. Only response from company was a thank you for review and a request to do a Google review. No mention of cost. I had my 6 month old puppy spayed.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy the staff. They are so nice, kind, caring, friendly and patient. They treat my fur baby like he’s one of their own. The staff and the doctors are very informative and they listen to all my issues and concerns and address all of them. I can’t thank them enough for the care they have provided for my fur baby.

Fantastic experience: First timer. These folks are awesome! Every care taker there clearly cares. I am an idiot and did not understand the convient check in line and just parked and walked in. My cat and I were quickly and kindly helped with an easy check in, despite me being a wandering lost idiot with a very vocal caged cat. i am glad i went inside. facility is very clean, very calm, it has great energy vibes in there and i will be back and recommending PRCKC to everyone i know or dont know. skip the car lane if your pet is cool with it. the care takers are fantastic. and to the new person who checked me in today, you were fantastic. this is your place. I will be needing an autograph when i pick my friend up later today. Great job to everyone there.

Fantastic experience: They did a wonderful job spaying my cat and fixing a major life threatening condition that my cat had! It’s been less than one week and my cat is healing very nicely and she’s very happy and sweet! We had a wonderful experience. Plus they were affordable and willing to work with me! They saved my baby girl’s life and I’m so grateful!

Positive experience: Got both my cats neutered here. Allow extra time, at least 2 hours for drop-off and pick-up times. But, they did a wonderful job! With my 2nd cat tho, when they brought my cat out in the pet carrier, they had broken one of the latches that holds it together.

Positive experience: I would give 5 stars but it's a drive thru veterinary care service that has you sitting in line for drop off for up to 2 hours and it's just not very convenient for a busy lifestyle or having kids in the car. Otherwise the services and the office being open to work on more affordable veterinary care is awesome. Been here a few times with a few different pets and I just won't go back having multiple little children with me due to time and just how busy they are.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with a teeth cleaning and extractions at PRC of KC. The costs were afforable compared to a full-service vet practice and my little guy received great care. Given the nature of this organization, expect that it's not the same experience as seeing a full-service vet. The trade-off in some of the processes is well worth the affordability. We were extremely happy with the process overall.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome! I took my dog, Lucy, in for the spay/neuter package. It includes vaccinations and microchipping. From the moment I made the appointment were helpful, friendly, responsive and professional. You do have to be at the drop off early and I suggest the earlier the better. The process takes a bit, maybe an hour, but it was smooth and everyone was very friendly and professional. They don't turn away anyone based on their ability to pay. I wasn't able to pay the full amount and I felt no pressure or judgement and was told it wouldn't be a problem. I was never asked for a dime more than I said I could pay. They do work off of donations though so if you can help, please do. I 100% recommend them for any of the services that they offer. Thanks again PRCKC for everything!

Positive experience: My kitty got spayed for a reasonable cost. The drop off and pick up was horrid, but my baby was treated well. Used to be able to go inside but covid changed that. They have not found a smooth solution yet. I have had them service my pets before and they had no complications. They have limited vet services, and a pet pantry for those without funds to feed there pets. I would love to volunteer there one day.

Fantastic experience: Honestly, drop off and pick up kinda take forever so if you have an appointment time just know that. BUT, I will deal with that all day long because hands down they are a fantastic group that cares about the animals and do a great job. 9/10 I recommend

Fantastic experience: I think the technicians that work at PRCKC are more experienced at handling dog temperament than most vets. They see every type of behavior almost everyday. That’s why I use their services for my anxious large dog and also why I donate. Due to their queue system, expect to wait past your appointment time and bring something to keep your pet calm in the car.

Fantastic experience: The Pet Resource Center was fantastic! I would highly recommend it. I used their mobile clinic. I have two Dobermans a seven year old male and an almost two year old female. I brought them in for their vaccinations and flea control. Everything went smoothly. Very reasonable cost.

Negative experience: I went to get my car neutered and he came back with fleas. like when i say fleas i mean FLEAS ALL OVER HIM and no he didn’t “have them before”. they would not treat him for free. one star for real never going here again.

I have taken both my dogs here for neutering, and not only are they kind every time, but extremely affordable. It is so worth supporting this company because they will help you even if you can’t afford it. 10/10!

Fantastic experience: I went to them when my dog needed immediate, life saving surgery. I had no money, I was terrified to lose my sweet old girl. They gave me a list of programs/organizations that help people afford their emergency vet bills. I applied to as many as I could within 4 hours, and was able to get my entire cost covered, no out of pocket for the surgery itself. These wonderful people saved my dog's life, gave me a list of resources which actually pulled through within HOURS, and treated my pet with the utmost care and kindness. Trust these people, treat them with kindness even in your dismay. We're all human, and these humans save lives that save lives. Thank you a million times.

Fantastic experience: The staff work so hard taking care if as many pets as they can and keeping good spirits and greet you with a smile. My pet was nurtured and given all his shot and a bonus when I got my boy back they even cut his names no extra charge. They worked with what I was able to pay and that was wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Angels on earth! Truly a remarkable experience for me and my cat! Took the time to educate me and make sure my pet was well taken care of expeditiously, despite being extremely busy. Look no further for your pets care! They made sure we had everything we need and even when my poor cat took her E-collar off and pooed on it ( LOL) they offered a new one for pick up! They really treat you and your pet like family! Love you guys!

Fantastic experience: I was impressed by the quality of care, and attention to detail this facility has. I had a 4 month old female kitten needing spayed for a reasonable price. Lots of vets are extremely overpriced for a simple spay/neuter surgery. I setup her appt online, paid a $50.00 deposit for drop off. Dropped her off in a very simple car lineup and check in system. Picked her up same day around 4pm. I was able to get her spray, pain meds for 5 days, cone, microchiped, rabies, FVRCP, 6 months fleas/tick/dewormer for a little under $200.00 dollars which everyone in the vet world knows that's a great deal! Would highly recommend for a routine surgery on a budget.

Fantastic experience: I have never had to leave my Great Dane/Cane Corso mix anywhere so I was pleasantly surprised how gentle the handlers are & happy they let me take him in myself. He was groggy after surgery but handled everything like a champ! They were very attentive to Zeus being dog reactive & I was very impressed with how they compensated my pup by respecting his issues. He is recovering great.

Fantastic experience: A great place to get your pet affordable care. Everyone was really friendly and answered all of my questions even though they're super busy. The wait in the car can be long but once they got my girl in she was done with her vaccinations quickly! We'll be back for all of her vaccines, you can't beat the price.

Fantastic experience: you need to arrive early and be prepared for a long wait, but the staff are amazing. It was time to let my Mini girl go and we were treated with kindness and compassion. This is never easy but they did everything to try and make us comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I got my cat spayed here. No such thing as free, even if some public program is sponsoring, you still have to pay the $53 registration fee for a "Free" Cat spay. Otherwise, if you aren't sponsored, it will cost you about $120 for cay spay, vaccine, chip. Very good deal and efficient at moving animals through

Fantastic experience: I recently brought my dog to this center and I had the most wonderful experience. They are very punctual, kind, and informing. You can really tell that all of the people here have a huge heart for animals!! When I dropped my dog off, the kind girl that got her made sure I knew the pickup instructions. When I picked her up, they went over all of the instructions thoroughly to ensure that my sweet dog got the best healing experience!!

Fantastic experience: They were so wonderful with my dog harley they helped me with his shots that he needed and they were very helpful about the questions I had about the problem with his neck . They are going to get ahold of me to set up an appointment to look at his neck to make sure there is no problem with it . Harley loved the lady's. They were so very nice to both of us. Next I'm going to see if they can look at my bird next I would recommend them to all my veteran family that have animals that need to get shots or any help and to any one else who need to get their baby's seen.

Positive experience: Took my cats here to get vaxxed and neutered, as well as a microchip. Everything went well, staff was friendly and helpful. 3 stars because my fur babies came home with a minor flea problem. Nothing major, but I found a few crawling in their fur. I don't think it was out of negligence, just unfortunate happenstance by proximity to other animals.

Fantastic experience: I rescued 2 kittens and can't afford them. But with the savings at Pet Resource Center I am able to help them. I couldn't watch them starve and possibly run over.

Fantastic experience: PRCKC is one of the most efficient pet-serving nonprofits around while also being kind and compassionate. The latest service they provided was a dental for my senior Yorkie mix. They take the time to explain what's happening with your pet and don't just churn through clients like robots. Highly recommend them!

Negative experience: If I could give this place no stars, I would. We brought our dog Jake here. He was sick and they supposedly did an xray on him and found nothing. Sent us home & gave him antibiotics but instead of getting better he got worse so we brought him back and he was DYING ON us they couldn’t take him in and gave us another address to take him well on the way there he died. Shame on you guys for not taking my dog in when he was dying snd suffering and bleeding out too and still had the audacity to do a parvo test on him when that’s not what was wrong with him. Jake was really young and this place failed him.

Was able to get 2 female and 1 male kitten spayed & neutered and one return for a booster shot. They provide everything you need. They are professional, genetous, kind and understanding. They treat the animals with friendly, loving care. I'm very grateful for the peace of mind they gave me, knowing theses abandoned now family babies are getting a healthy start in life. They are one of the most affordable places around. They work hard to get you in and seen as fast as possible no matter how busy they are. They will work with you and your financial situation. I will always recommend them to family and friends as the number one place to go.

Fantastic experience: GREAT place to bring your animals! There is just so many good things to say about this organization! The whole facility is very organized and runs like a well oiled machine for a place that has dogs and cats coming in and out of it all day long that could very easily be very chaotic and it isn't! The multiple staff members that helped me were very friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, and attentive! This facility is very clean and has a peaceful calm atmosphere! There are veterinary, triage and Urgent Care services available at this facility! Also an excellent asset to the "Pet Resource Center" is that you can pay what you can afford!! I had two kittens spayed, given all vaccinations, chipped, and they gave them deworming medication just in case they had worms! Also included was the pain medication for the whole 5 days after surgery, all for one unbelievably, unheard of, excellent price! I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: So compassionate and caring. They have been taking care of my fur baby Bryck since he was 6 weeks old, 12 1/2 years ago. He could not longer move and they took real good care of him for the last time. I would not have trusted anyone else. So thankful for Pet Resource Center. I always refer others to them.

Fantastic experience: I'll have to admit, I was a little nervous, my sweet kitty has been through so much. From the minute we arrived on site, we were greeted w kindness and compassion. Very organized and professional, but not clinical. As we waited our turn I watched the staff come and get pets with a smile. Answering questions, giving you a run down if how things would go with confidence and compassion making everyone feel at ease and leaving with the knowledge our pet was receiving the best care. Fast forward to pick up. Again, such efficiency! The staff bringing out pets with such care and concern. Questions being answered for after care and staff going above and beyond to make sure you were comfortable going forward. Although there are lines and patience is a must, the staff makes you feel like you're their only client. Highly recommend! If I could give them 20 stars, I would.

Fantastic experience: Smokey and Bandit were well cared for when we took them in for care! They were each chipped, tattooed, neutered, tested and given their shots.

Fantastic experience: Our dogs original vet wanted to charge us almost $1,000 to spay her and we ended up paying $140 the staff truly cares they're very nice and communicate effectively. Would recommend for low income people who have pets that they love and would like to take care of.

Positive experience: I generally like taking my dogs here to get vaccinated. This month I had an appointment for my lab and she started heat so I canceled the appointment through email. When they finally got back to me (I guess they thought I had a spay appointment), I was told they would still reschedule me and spay her during her heat! I was absolutely APPALLED!!! I cannot believe they would spay a dog during the heat cycle since it is extremely dangerous!!! There is no need to put your dog through that extra risk when you can simply wait a month or two after they are out of heat to schedule! Regardless, the appointment was only for vaccinations. Be a responsible pet owner and do your research. The clinic is simply out to spay every dog and does not care, clearly, about the overall health of the dog. If it was about that, then you would spay dogs at appropriate ages and at appropriate times in their cycle. Their wait time has also exceeded exponentially! I went early in the morning and you can now expect to be there closer to 3 hours before being seen. If they cannot handle the traffic, they should change the number of appointments available and have someone who understands how to manage the appointments running the lines of cars waiting.

Fantastic experience: We love them everyone has been helpful and understanding. They have always answered our questions and are always willing to repeat or explain in detail until we understand. They are very loving to our animals as well, and when we were short on funds they never turned us away. Kudos to yall.

Fantastic experience: The people are amazing to work with. The scheduling and appointment check in is very organized. In using both the drive through events and scheduling for vaccination I found that the value it is well worth the service received.

Fantastic experience: An amazing team and an amazing community resource!! We got our kitten vaccinated, boosted, and neutered here and it’s been a great help to us since we rescued our kitten of the street so we had to get EVERYTHING done on him! Kittens are expensive but with PRC it was very manageable and I know if we were in dire straights fincially they would offer us assistance in order to support our kitty family! Thank you PRC!

Fantastic experience: I brought a pregnant stray in that I planned to TNR this past Tuesday. It was a highly stressful situation and I didn’t know what could be done for her. I called on a Monday evening and left them a message. The staff called me first thing the next morning and were able to get her in to be spayed within a week. They were so kind and helpful with providing information about trapping and what to prepare for day of and post surgery as a TNR. The day of staff were also amazing and patient as we changed our mind the day of and decided to keep her vs. going through with the TNR. They also explained her aftercare very clearly. They were very delicate and empathetic about her situation. We’ve brought two of our other cats here a to be spayed and neutered a few years ago and the quality of care has not faltered. The care the staff have for the animals is very clear. I will absolutely continue to use Pet Resource and would highly recommend them to others. Thank you to all the staff that took care of our little Olive!! Her surgery went well and she’s been healing up beautifully!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best experience caring for my girl. She is a German Shepard goofball. But is often met with fear. No fear here! No immediate muzzle suggestion, just the usual dog response. Worked with me financially and was respectful with that situation. I cannot recommend them more than I am. They help me create a better world for my best friend and I truly appreciate that from my heart.

Negative experience: Wasn’t a fan honestly and wouldn’t use their services again for anything. We had our dog neutered here and the surgery itself was fine, it’s nice that the price is all inclusive of the surgery, medications, etc. But there were just so many other things that were so inefficient… there was ONE person coming out to each of the cars and getting the dogs for drop offs and ONE person coordinating the pick ups. Most importantly, the communication is so poor from start to finish. Could not get in touch with them before the surgery because they take up to 5 business days to call you back. When I went to pick our dog up they had failed to tell me beforehand that I would have to go inside to retrieve him- I had a baby in the car and had to then make other arrangements last minute because I was not going to just leave my baby in the car and go inside to retrieve my dog like they asked me to. A few days after the surgery we had a question about something our dog was experiencing and wanted to confirm if that was normal, and the only way to reach them is email because, again, they take 5 business days to call you back. Seems like there are lots of simple fixes here that would make this process less complicated. Overall, the impression was that they were just trying to get as many dogs in and out as quickly as possible in order to make the most profit while neglecting everything else.
