Fantastic experience: Every time we come to Sun City Animal Hospital it’s been nothing short of a pleasant experience. I’ve been bringing my animals here for at least 6 years. From the front staff to the techs and Drs, everyone is kind and thorough. We have visited for many reasons from routine vaccines to emergencies and every time I come here I know my babies are receiving the best care. I will always recommend this clinic!

Fantastic experience: Very gentle. My first visit and my dog stayed happy throughout vaccinations and exam. He usually runs out the door with his tail between his legs, but he was happy and wagging his tail out they door. ❤️

Fantastic experience: They did a great job helping me take care of my Border Collie Zoey after suffering from both a vestibular disease attack and a ruptured hygroma over the past 60 days. They took the time to explain everything and treat her, and educated me on how to take care of her needs at home as well. Dr. Hamilton was there to help us through it every step of the way! The techs were great in getting her routine bandage changes every few days and were very patient and understanding. They did a great job in getting Zoey healed and back on her feet (actually paws!). I highly recommend them for all our veterinary needs!

Fantastic experience: My senior chihuahua was in to see Dr. Hamilton today. Dr. Hamilton was very understandin and took the time to understand his needs. Dr. Hamilton is a great addition to the clinic.

Fantastic experience: Both of my Labs are patients at Sun City Animal Hospital. I find that they really listen to me and answer all of my questions, without making me feel rushed. They actually care about my pets and don't do unnecessary tests or procedures. I feel very comfortable with their expertise and how they treat my pets. On occasion, my regular Vet has not been there when I needed an appointment, and I've been very happy with the other Vets that we've seen there.

Negative experience: The vet, Dr. Kincaid, and tech in the back were nice and professional. This review is for the front desk person. She was not friendly at all to the point of being rude and unprofessional. I get not everyone is super friendly, but if you’re in a customer service position, at least be polite. I wouldn’t return just for her and how uncomfortable it was interacting with her.

Fantastic experience: I had not been feeling good and unfortunately, one morning I woke up and my little nine-year-old pug was having breathing problems. Thank God, they got me in right away put her in a little incubator, After a long day, I finally got to take her home with the medication. Bad allergies but she’s a whole lot better now

Fantastic experience: Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, clean and gave us same day appointment which was appreciated. If the fees were lower, it would be perfect - although they are no more than most other vets except for the non-profit and homeopathic ones.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: highly recommend Dr Matthew's, she is as sweet as can be and love her English accent! Friendly and helpful staff. Brought my new kitten there for her 1st well visit. Everyone was sweet and you could tell they all enjoy working with there. I was in/out quickly considering how busy they were. Parking can be a challenge with spots very close together.

Fantastic experience: The nicest vet and very solid staff. We took our three pups here for exams and international health certificates. Super smooth process, the vet was thorough and informative, and everyone was so kind and organized! Plus very reasonable prices- highly recommend!

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed — They Treat You Like You’re a Burden in Our appointment was at 4:00 PM, and we even arrived early at 3:30. I didn’t expect to be seen early, but at least some acknowledgment would’ve been nice. The parking lot had maybe one car, yet 4:00 came and went — no one checked in, no updates, not even a “we’ll be with you soon.” When I politely asked the front desk, I was told “the doctor is busy — you can leave and reschedule if you want.” Seriously? That’s how you talk to clients who’ve been waiting patiently? Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time — it’s become a pattern here. Finally, a different doctor (not the regular one) came in around 4:30. To be fair, that doctor was very kind and professional — the only reason this isn’t a zero-star review. But what really sealed it for me was how they handled my dog’s previous stay. After my dog spent three days there and cost me $1,500, I’ve asked several times for the lab results — and each time I’ve been ignored. No call, no email, no explanation. Just silence. This place acts like they’re doing you a favor by taking your money. No respect for time, no communication, and no accountability. We’ve since switched to another vet who actually respects their clients and their pets. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone who expects even basic courtesy.

Fantastic experience: I called them after calling multiple hospitals (including my dog's primary vet) and they were the only ones who took the situation seriously. They cared for my dog and helped him recover without surgery by providing the correct treatment quickly. They might become the new primary vet! The prices are reasonable for the services offered

Fantastic experience: My dog was treated extremely well. All the staff is very kind. Very clean. Shade structure so pets don't burn their paws when you have to get them out of the vehicle. Optional drive up service for I assume reactive pets. Prices were also extremely reasonable.

Also, to be blunt, they are underpriced compared to other vets in the area but I’m not complaining about that. They seem like good people that genuinely care about helping animals.

Negative experience: After going to this place for 20+ years, I'm done. They've continuously raised prices, and my latest visit was nearly $600 for a GI panel and on top of that, they continuously forget to give medication to my dog. For my other dog, I spent over 1,000+ trying to identify an issue that turned out to be allergy related. I had to go to another vet who knew immediately it was allergies and did an allergy panel for a fraction of the price. Be prepared to spend tons of money here on vets who won't take the time nor have the skill to identify issues with your pet.

Negative experience: Not even a one star... been with this vet for over 15 years.. both of my dogs had blood work done yesterday and shots... one dog had a reaction to the shots ... they ended up charging me an extra 500 less than 24 hours later and quoted us about 6500 dollars for teeth extractions... Dr. today said our one dog's bloodwork was in very serious attention.. we took her to a specialist and the specialist said the bloodwork was not at all in immediate danger.

Fantastic experience: We have rotties. My female is an absolute menace to society. Every appointment we get put into a room right away, which is greatly appreciated. The staff always handles her super well, even when she tries to drag them down the hall. They are open about the cost of services. We found out our male had cancer. They walked us through the options. But nothing compares to the compassion and grace of how they handled us and our sweet boy when we put him to sleep. Forever grateful for your kindness.

Negative experience: Client wants to bring their pet in for day boarding once a month. To get their pet & staff of veterinary hospital familiar with each other. Kind of like a day spa. Drop off in the morning, pickup before closing. Unfortunately, weekend front counter staff cannot seem to comprehend the concept. Such a shame ... thought I found the extraordinary animal hospital

Negative experience: I have never experienced such appalling customer service in my life!!! Not just in an animal hospital, but anywhere. The staff at Sun City Animal Hospital were shockingly rude, dismissive, and completely devoid of compassion. From the moment I walked in, I was treated like an inconvenience, not a concerned pet owner seeking help. They made me feel small, stupid, and unwelcome as if my questions were a burden and my pet’s wellbeing was irrelevant. It was clear they had no genuine concern for the animals or the people who love them. The coldness and lack of basic decency were staggering. I left not only angry and heartbroken but also deeply disturbed that people like this are allowed to care for living creatures. If you value your pet’s life and your own sanity then stay far, far away.

Fantastic experience: We've been going to Sun City Animal Hospital for years and have always had a wonderful experience. A little over a week ago we had to put our beloved 15 year old dog Ace to sleep, and the entire team at Sun City were wonderful. They were all very sweet with us, and gave us plenty of time to stay goodbye. They were very gentle to Ace and made sure that his passing was painless and done with dignity. I received a card in the mail from them afterwards expressing their sympathy, which I now have next to his ashes. When he was alive, they were also amazing with him. He had Cushing's Disease so we saw a lot of all of the vets and vet techs. When we get another dog, I know where I'll be taking them for care.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been using Sun City vet for the last seven years for my two cats, and they are the best vet I have ever had. Recently we had to do a little surgery, and they were so helpful, accommodating, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. They called multiple times throughout the day with status updates and made sure kitty was so well taken care of start to finish. Fantastic experience: Went here for the first time with our dog. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and kind. The doctor was great as were staff who assisted her. More importantly, our dig was very comfortable with the doctor while there!! I’d recommend to anyone!!!

Negative experience: Unfortunately the customer service has fallen off. The staff is unaccommodating and unfriendly. I've have taken my dog here for four years. Based on my last experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere, unfortunately. Dr. Knehr I was told you do not speak to your clients. I am happy to share my feedback with you as a constructive means of improving your business and not to lose additional clients.

Negative experience: Dr Kenehr is an excellent vet and his staff is lovely. I feel, however that I’m being extorted for money every time I go there recently. For example, they have a new policy where walk in visits are an extra $112 on top of services (understandable) but now suddenly when you call to make an appointment there is no availability until a day or two later (doubtful). In another instance I thought my dog had a UTI and instead of taking the conservative approach I requested (a urine catch) I was out the door hard sold on a $300+ bill for ultrasound, catheter (for “clean” urine catch) and other items. Yes, the provider (Not kenehr) did give me an estimate for costs before I agreed to service but I was put in a position where I felt like I couldn’t say no. I pushed back but I’m not the Vet! I feel like they know how much we love our pets and use that to make us take drastic measures when simple services would do. I would not recommend taking your pets here unless their policies change.

Sun City Animal Hospital helped us with open doors and open hearts on a Sunday morning before Christmas. They treated our family with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Their affordable pricing didn't compound our hardship. We were put in the path of angels with the SCAH Team and are forever thankful.

Negative experience: Waiting for a neuter drop off for over 30 minutes is absolutely ridiculous! Requiring someone to see a doctor before drop off is so unnecessary. I can get discharge information at pick up. Really need to look at your drop off procedures

Fantastic experience: The doctors and support staff were amazing in their detailed analyzation of my dog's ailment. They considered all possibilities and options and went over them with me in detail so that we could come up with a treatment plan. Their game plan worked and it didn't cost me a fortune. Negative experience: Terrible! My flight changed and I called to ask them when I needed to bring my dog in since I had a 6 am Monday flight. They told me Saturday prior to 7pm. I took my dog over at pm and they were closed. I had to rush to find another option. I called Sunday morning to cancel my boarding and they charged me the deposit. I'll be looking for a new vet when I return from my trip.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kincade Audette, from Sun City Animal Hospital, helped my cat Gracie, shown below, get her eyesight back. She went totally blind. It was hypertension and she put her on medications that did the trick. I am so thankful for her. Brenda Berryhill

Fantastic experience: We brought Snowy in as a first time customer and the front desk ladies were very kind. The technician that took care of us was very efficient and responsive. We were not there very long and we were impressed with the facility. This vet came highly recommended to us by a neighbor and his dog. Always efficient service and accommadating. We appreciate being able to drive to a convenient location. We wish the walk in charge was not as high. With a pet, it is usually an immediate need when you suspect they need care. At those times it is hard to wait for an appointment. But we appreciate certain things can be done with the vet techs so that is a good thing. Like allergy shots and anal glands expressions. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I saw two different vets today due to my scheduling issues. I saw Dr Kinkade and Dr Mathews, both are wonderful. These vets are pretty much my go to doctors along with Dr Knher. This hospital with its friendly staff and knowledgeable Vets meet the needs of my pets and my family. Appointment availability is reasonable. The front office staff is friendly and helpful. I find this veterinary clinic meets all my pet needs with a smile.

Fantastic experience: Sun City Animal Hospital is Awesome. THEY TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF MY ENGLISH BULL DOG. HE WAS SICK A LOT AS A PUPPY. I made a mistake and gave him a bunch of grapes. He got very sick threw up all night. Was it did not look good. We rushed Benjamin in they treated and he recovered despite what the doctors expected. Thank Goodness we ❤️ them. THEY ARE VERY BUSSY PEOPLE BESIDES ANIMALS CANNOT TALK . It takes time to get the pets evaluated period ☺️

Fantastic experience: I love this vet. They're so attentive, caring, and trustworthy. Our dogs are medical messes but Dr Kincade and Dr Knehr talk us through everything, provide detailed information on procedures and proof that they were done correctly, and love on the dogs. You can tell the techs love their job; I always see them fawning over the animals they take to the back. The front desk staff is quick to answer the phone and emails and even call just to check up after a procedure. The vets also are willing to admit when something is out of their expertise and refer you to the specialty center which I respect. Prices are average for vets in the area, but they are good about working with you to get the price down should you need it. Get pet insurance though!

Fantastic experience: Attentive and friendly receptionists, techs and doctors. Dr. Kincaide is who I've been mainly seeing and she is both wonderful and caring. The staff all remember us and our dogs and always make us feel welcome and helped.

Fantastic experience: This location is easy to get to. The wait is not long. I was in and out really quick but my appointment was not rushed. Doctor was very detailed about the care options for our fur baby. The front desk was very friendly and professional. They also were very communicative from the first phone call that was made to them. If front desk said they would send you something before the end of the day it was done within a few minutes after the conversation ended or before the end of the day. I was very impressed. The waiting area and the exam room was fresh smelling. I have a very sensitive nose and I did not smell any type of urine ANYWHERE! Very very clean location. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new doctor for their fur baby. 10 out of 10.

Fantastic experience: I have two dogs that go here and my dad just took his puppy there. They aren't the cheapest vet I've been too, but everything they've done for my dogs has gone perfectly with no complications. Usually a very short wait time, they keep things moving so there's rarely anyone in the waiting room. I like the stuff they play on the TVs, usually very cute. They can do X-rays and blood work while you wait, call with the results next day. So it's the cost of high quality I guess. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: The veterinarian and staff were very nice and specifically very sensitive and compassionate towards our dog Pokey. A left front limp turned out to be a small stone in the paw. This was removed. Our furball has some other health concerns and was quoted the low and high-end costs for diagnosis free of charge, which made it easier to get the additional work done. I highly recommend Sun City Animal Hospital from both veterinarian services and boarding your pets.

Negative experience: UPDATE: I didn’t not to change my first experience at this hospital. I believe that most first time comers may experience a positive experience to get looped in and then a company such as Sun City Hospital gets a little too relaxed. I asked to speak with the facility’s owner NOT a manager, and who calls me, a manager. Some matters should be a handled by the owner of a place. My dog’s anxiety increases when we approach Sun City and I couldn’t even understand why. We relocated and I needed my pup’s records. The notes really alarmed me especially about how they had to muzzle him. I have never been told that information. Now in person I was told that they had to give him treats to come out of the kennel, he was scared, very shy, some could pet him but not all persons. They did state that they had difficulties but never stated that he was at the height of having to be muzzled. I should have been told that so I could understand what was happening, causing it, and then get some support for him. They could even given me some advice besides put him on anxiety pills. There was a young lady and man there who gave him a bath and allowed her to handle him. Now all of a sudden my pup is a problem. My sister’s pup (sister of my pup) was a client there too. She told me about her concerns because her pup had marks around her muzzle. When she asked what happened she was told that her pup continued to cry, and bark so they had to muzzle her too. This means that muzzle was very tight! After that experience she never took her back. A little background story of my pup: I let the owner as well as staff know that my pup was very shy and has severe anxiety. I adopted him as a baby, took him to a park when he was 2 months, and a pit-bull tried to attack him. So, I’m saddened to even think about what may have happened behind close doors with my pup, and how he must have felt when he already had issues, and I couldn’t be there to protect or comfort him. —————————————————————— Was a 5 Star… OLD REVIEW (2020): This is the only place my dog will go and feel comfortable. They are so patient with him. My pup is very shy, and can clam up, as well as bark if he feels uncomfortable. When he first went the owner and the other staff sat on the floor, and allowed him to go to them. He did so good! I love this place! I literally get sad if I can’t get him boarding too. When picking him up he barely wants to leave and doesn’t even bark. He is very relaxed. My pup goes there for shots too, and it’s very reasonable. If you’re booking for overnight, book months in advance because it gets filled up very quickly.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been bringing our furry family members to Sun City Animal Hospital for 20 years. The kind, compassionate, and low pressure approach is so refreshing! We have experienced everything from routine care, emergency care, the heartbreak of having to part ways with one of our animals, and everything in between. Sun City has been there for us every step of the journey and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Dr. Knehr runs a top notch clinic with a great team of doctors and support staff.

Fantastic experience: There reasonably priced and help out when things are too expensive for your budget. They seem to care about the animals they treat and are prompt as they can be with appointments. Since 2010 when people started flooding into this state, nothing is fast anymore, stop moving here, has nothing to do with the quality of care. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Dr K. and his staff are wonderful. Very helpful and great. They are wonderful and very supportive always there when you need they support.. We had to put our golden retriever down on Father's Day almost 2 years ago the staff was wonderful and so kind. Missy was a wonderful dog.

Negative experience: I came in to get my two cats checked out since one of them has an eye infection, but the front desk said they didn’t see me on the schedule. Before I called to make their appointments, I requested an appointment online through their website for March 9th, but I called because I didn’t want to wait 3 weeks to get them seen. I called on Sunday, February 25th and got an appointment for 2PM for the both of them so I would only be charged once for the office visit. I called yesterday to see if they had the noon appointment still available and they told me no but they had a 1PM for only one pet available. So, I told them to just keep my 2PM appointment today. I am extremely upset and disappointed by this clinic since I had heard so many good things about this place. Now, I have to go someplace else that’s more expensive because my appointment somehow got lost.

Negative experience: Be aware that your pet could miss an important life or death diagnosis at this clinic. First of all, I do want to say that Dr. Knehr does have a big heart because he called Dr. Michael at Craig Road Animal Hospital to help my cat Shadow get an emergency surgery on his leg for a tumor that was necrotizing. Shadow is now a healthy tripod since that surgery. However, my other cat, Nimbus, is a completely different story. Dr. Knehr did diagnose Nimbus with IBD and a spinal disease, which he treated with a diet change and pain meds. However, Nimbus had bladder issues for years, and would drink excessive amounts of water and pee in huge amounts. While urinating, Nimbus would cry frequently while in the box. Over the past three years, I had Sun City perform at least three senior wellness checks to check for kidney, thyroid, or any other issues. We knew something was not right. Every time, Knehr said the blood and urinalysis levels came back normal except for slightly elevated pancreas levels. Yet, Nimbus was losing weight, drinking excessive amounts of water, and crying when he went to the bathroom. All we were told was "he is old" and to give him Cosequin for his bladder. The past three months, Nimbus's health started to rapidly decline. His fur became more ratty, he stopped cleaning himself, lost more weight, and had really bad diarrhea. He was also drinking even more and more water, and walking around the house crying. We took him back to Sun City, where they just gave him Metronidazole for his IBD and Solensia for his spinal disease. However, when I asked if we should do more bloodwork, Knehr said he thought it would just show the IBD again, and that it would produce the same results as before. The Metronidazole made his IBD worse, and be had uncontrolled diarrhea all over the house. The Solensia also caused Nimbus to have neurological issues. Frustrated, we decided to try another vet. We took Nimbus to Integrative Vet Hospital, where they ran a blood-work panel and an GI panel. The results showed that Nimbus had kidney disease (which we suspected all this time) AND hyperthyroidism. He was also borderline for cancer, but the vet said the Solensia shot was suppressing the results. So, all this time our Nimbus had hyperthyroidism and Kidney Disease and we could have been treating him for these things!! He was never diagnosed until it was too late. Last night, we had to take him to Craig Road Animal Hospital to be put down. The vet said that his un-diagnosed kidney disease and hyperthyroidism is what was sucking the water out of his body. He could not go #2, and it backed up inside his intestines, causing him to become toxic. Before we took him to Craig Road, he was laying on the floor crying out in pain and twitching violently. The Craig Road vet also said the hyperthyroidism was masking the kidney disease, which is why it did not show up on the tests. I'm very upset and angry that this was never diagnosed at Sun City. Although Dr. Knehr did help save our cat Shadow, he failed to help Nimbus. He did not do enough tests or look into his health issues like he should have. As a medical professional, he should have looked at all of Nimbus's symptoms and determined that there was more going on than just the IBD and spinal disease. If we could have treated him for his kidney disease and hyperthyroidism, he would have suffered less and may have lived a longer life.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff is very kind. The doctor and her assistant took great care of both kitties. They were gentle with them and looked into any health concerns I inquired about. They made sure both kitties were current on their shots. I appreciate them treating my 12-year old babies so sweetly.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment for my Dad's dog yesterday at 4pm for a rabies vaccination. When we got there, they immediately greeted us, and after getting Snoopy weighed, we went to the exam room. The doctor and assistant were friendly and knowledgeable. The best part was we were done by 4:15pm (if only doctor visits for us humans were that efficient and prompt). From this experience, this animal hospital is highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Staff are super receptive and kind and helpful and explain complex issues in a way pet owners can understand. Despite some very rude customers, they are always respectful and do their best under tough conditions.

Fantastic experience: We lost our bulldog "Cookie" 2 weeks ago. The doctor stayed 3 hours after they closed to attempt to bring her back. I'm sorry I forgot the doctor's name, but I will never forget effort and commitment. Thank you. 5 stars !!

Fantastic experience: This was a post from 7 years ago. Sun City Hospital saved our puppy's life. Dr. Knehr and his staff went above and beyond. Thank you for all you do and how you do it! Read on: Most of you didn't know I was very sick and in the hospital for three days. Mommy and Daddy visited me every day and sometimes twice a day. The Staff at Sun City Hospital took great care of me and hand fed me (I'm spoiled) Thank you I am feeling much better! Love you Mommy and Daddy!

Negative experience: Had what I considered an emergency this morning. My sheep, a doodle ate something that I wasn’t sure if it would make him sick or kill him. I called up Sun City Animal Hospital who I’ve been going to for over 20 years and the young lady at the counter told me they’re all busy, but I can call up poison control for animals, I know I can do that for $100 charge or take my pet to the doggy ER for a $600 plus charge. When I call my vet and think it’s an emergency and it should only take them a minute to ask a vet and I get pushback like this, it’s unacceptable !!! I think everybody should be aware of the way front office is running this clinic. They could care less if your pet is having emergency because they’re all busy and when you speak to the office manager, her main concern is to let you know that her employee was doing her job, very poorly if I may say so myself. Everyone please keep this in the back your heads the next time your pet has an emergency. Hopefully you get better service than I did.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my pup to Sun City Animal Hospital for 2 1/2 years Dr. Knehr is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He found a serious condition with my dog that required a specialist in Arizona to perform a procedure on him. Two years later, my puppy is doing great and we continue to go to Sun City Animal Hospital for annual check ups, vaccinations and occasional allergy shots. The entire staff at this facility are extremely caring and kind, my pup especially loves Jenna. The waiting room and exam rooms are extremely clean, the staff gets you in and out quickly and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Sun City Animal Hospital!

Fantastic experience: The staff was extremely kind with my Stormi. And our Veterinary Kate Grenager, DVM was one of the best that I've dealt with in all my years having pets. She went above and beyond helping me with Stormi when we discovered she had Parvo. Because of her, you have a customer for life.

Positive experience: I don't like when you call to schedule an appointment and they don't tell you the actual amount you will be paying. Example, I called to schedule an appointment for my dog's rabies shot. I was told what that would cost but not that in addition, I would be paying $60+ for the visit. They didn't do anything but give her a shot. She was just seen 1-2 weeks earlier for a physical. Then I referred them to a friend and the same thing happened. You need to tell people up front, not after the appt. People aren't made of money. My past vet, I NEVER had to pay an office visit to get her shots, may need to drive the distance to get that same customer service.

Fantastic experience: We recently had to say goodbye to our 20 year old dog. Everyone at Sun City Animal Hospital was compassionate, patient, and walked us through everything with kindness. As hard as this trip to the vet was, they made us feel warm and taken care of. Especially our Teddy on his last day. As we were leaving I happened to turn around and noticed the candle on the counter was lit for us. Such a touching gesture.

Fantastic experience: They never over-charge and feel like they really care about our animals. The only thing I would change is not having the animal taken out of the room for treatment. I like to be in the room while the exam takes place so I know exactly what is being done. Other than that, I have zero complaints. I find Dr. Knehr very kind and compassionate.

Fantastic experience: Very good experience. Highly recommend. I was out of town and my dog got an emergency (infection in a paw), I called in a morning and was given an appointment within the next hour. Everyone at the clinic was super nice, smiling and caring. I really enjoyed our doctor who helped my dog without extra add-ons procedures. By the way I took my dog twice before this appointment to vets in my local town and I was given long estimates that were totally unnecessary and overpriced. I also had to call remotely for a follow up and they took my phone call and responded to all my questions. I really liked that place and if I would have been local I would have only came over there. Truly the best.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place to take your pet. Decided to change vets because the one we had was not willing to help with our pet's prescription. The first visit was free and quick, plus my dog's prescription cost me only $ 5. The staff was very friendly and informative and the vet was caring toward my dog, even going so far as to ask if I wanted her nails trimmed. She then worked on my dog's prescription order and sent me on my way. 15 minutes later called me to ask what flavor I want my dog's prescription to taste like( found it funny ). If you are looking for a place that looks forward to seeing you and your pet come here.

Fantastic experience: The best! My experience at Sun City Animal Hospital with Dr. Knear was very positive. He was friendly, thorough and very informative when discussing the health of my 15-year old dog. This was my first time at this practice. I wanted to try them out because of my daughter's recommendation. When making the appointment, the office staff kindly offered to get our records from our previous vet. At the appointment, I was so pleasantly surprised (you might even say shocked) that they actually had gotten the records and they were also in the computer (I've had a much worse experience with records transfers at another veterinary practice.)

Fantastic experience: We took our cat here since he wasn't feeling well. We are super appreciative to Dr. Adams for taking care of our furbaby!! He helped us with a diagnosis, where to go for more information, and even called us on occasion to make sure our furbaby was okay. Above and beyond exceptional. Prices are competitive from what I understand. They offer a lot of extra services that are a blessing. If your cat needs help, this is the place. I will say, the front staff can be rude at times, often forgot us despite us coming daily. But if you can look past that, it's a decent animal hospital and Dr. Adams is a great vet.

Negative experience: Unorganized and incompetent people working here. Never have had a good experience from the first time I took my dog here. He has a collapsed trachea and was coughing more than usual and the doctor didn’t even come in the room, an assistant came in and just wanted to take him back to do an X-ray without discussing anything with me prior (medical history) so I demanded to see a the doctor. This made me uncomfortable. They do the bare minimum and don’t give specialized custom care tailored to your animals needs. They prefer to nickel and dime you. Just like this last experience which led me to write this review. I needed to order his prescription science diet from chewy but his prescription needed to be renewed so I called Sun City and the girl I spoke with said once they get the request they will give it to the Dr. To sign and fax it back to chewy. I placed the order with chewy just to find out it was declined a couple days later. I called Sun City again and this girl told me something completely different, being that my dog needed to be seen before they could write a new prescription. That’s understandable I guess but they shouldn’t be telling me 2 different things and now my dog is very low on his food because of this. I will NEVER bring my dog here again because I want the best possible care for him and you WON’T get that at Sun City animal hospital.
