Fantastic experience: Fantastic service, thorough communication, and empathetic staff. I really like Dr. Dudley, I am beyond thankful for the service he has provided our dog. We will continue to use them for any future check ups.

Positive experience: Been taking my dog Bella here for 5 years. The staff is very friendly and fantastic with my dog. Your pets are treated with kindness and care. Brendan is the best!!! However cost of services continue to increase making it difficult for budget-conscious pet owners especially when your pet requires regular visits.

Negative experience: RUN THE OTHER WAY LOOK AT HIS YELP APP REVIEWS these people are money hungry if your stupid enough to fall for the pricing scheme your bill will be up the roof. Find a real vet that truly care and listens to their owners. They wanted to stick me with a bill before even starting anything Dr did not want listen to our concern as it is we who Live with the dog their just guessing and sticking you with a bill.As they guess maybe is this maybe is that on a 16 year old dog we wanted a step by step approach DR walked out the room as he did not want to hear what we the owners had to say to talk to the staff the whole time very unprofessional you truly show your color. Not professional at all it's a simple middle ear infection and vestibular Diesies on my dog and they wanted me to cought up $200+ on a senior blood test with that my dog does not need and will not realize the pain after I stating all the usual signs of middle ear infection due to vestibular diesies. We paid the physical and a blood pressure that came back normal after all. We took our dog and will found some one else who truly listen other that sticking you with a bill to find out what it is and a dog still in excruciating pain. Never again! We left the place with the dog still with dizziness​ and whimpering in pain. Update: 4/10/2017 RIP Daisy we decided to put her down because of old age she was in pain as well as dragging her back legs because off the dizziness caused by Vestibular Dieses confirmed by a true legit Vet. This was brought to him as well to be brushed off by a we don't have to euthenized on a 16 year old dog that can hardly walk and dragging her back legs. You guys desperelty need to be educated on listening skills instead of creating your own agenda and not listening to owners/customers​ who know their own Dogs better than yourself. Update 4/16/2017 to Vets response on this review: My dog NEVER had a history of Blindness YOU EVEN DID AN EYE TEST ON HER AND A HEARING TEST, YOU'RE A LIER, as you have only seen my dog twice in her lifetime with this visit. The tall signs of stumbling, dizziness, tilting head is all signs of Vestibular syndrome. A reputable Vet would pick that up in an instance but since they want to milk you for every test they have to get your money. We only demanded after it was clear you had no intention of listening to us and you walked out of the room not to talk to us again letting your Vet techs do the talking for you, lets start small to treat her ears and then we can continue from there with a follow up I asked, as on her the first visit and only visit we did with you, you failed to diagnose her middle ear infection which she was prone to and when I came back for the follow up you stated " oh she is better, it was an middle ear infection after all" after he Dr. Dudley walked out of the room we walked out as well knowing this practice was only after expensive procedures that nothing to do with her symptoms that he failed not once but twice to diagnose with this visit. I should've known better and have learned the first time around from taking my dog to your joke of a practice. Again if your not RICH and we are not we had a bill in our lap in the lobby of this place of $347 he left the room then came back with a now higher at $400+ for senior blood test without the dog being seen at all he calls a through review of the Dog looking at her ear and looking at her eyes that were completely clear he even test it by waving his hand in her face and she flinch and said " Well is not the eyes she can see" stay way from this practice at all cost. Check real reviews on this place on Yelp app and other areas as this is not the only place were reviews have been made on their horrendous practice and service.

Fantastic experience: Mitchell Hammock Pet Hospital and Boarding is amazing! Dr. Dudley and the staff took great care of my dog Hadassah. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They made sure my dog was comfortable during the visit and were very thorough in their exam and recommended testing. I felt they really cared about my dog's well-being and went above and beyond to ensure that Hadassah lives a good, long, and healthy life. Thank you all for the great service and care you provided for my dog. I highly recommend Mitchell Hammock Pet Hospital!

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I recently got a new puppy from a farm, and this was my first time getting a pup so young. When we first got him he had roundworms, mange, just about anything you could think a puppy might get from a farm. We brought him here and were instantly comfortable - all of the vet techs and employees there were so great with him and gave him so much love and attention, answered all of our questions as new concerned doggy parents, and gave us multiple treatment options. We got all set up with a treatment plan and now my pup is doing great. He got his first dip for his mange that day, and while at first I was worried about leaving our puppy somewhere unfamiliar all day, after meeting the staff I was much more comfortable. He was treated like a celebrity! They played with him and gave him treats while he was there, and he honestly loves coming back now and seeing everyone. The veterinarian Mr. Dudley looked over our puppy so carefully that he noticed he had a slight sprain in his leg before we even brought up that he biffed a big jump off the bed that morning. He is definitely a well informed, seasoned veterinarian who has a true passion for the animals he treats. When my boyfriend and I left after our first visit, we both agreed that Mr. Dudley and his team will be treating all of our animals for as long as we live in central Florida.

Fantastic experience: After moving to Oviedo, I needed a good vet for my senior cat Tiger who has been losing weight. I am so happy I found Dr. Dudley and his wonderful staff. I called an was able to get an appointment within an hour. When I got to the office it was clean and the staff friendly.I was able to express all my fears and concerns. The staff and Dr Dudley was very gentle with Tiger and they came up with a great plan to care for my little guy. I cannot be more pleased with the service we received. Thank you so much!!

We have been taking our dogs there for many years, and AlwayS we are very pleased. What's also very important is that... our pets are pleased too (eg. they return from boarding without anxiety or stress). Kim is especially courteous, attentive and thorough. Fantastic experience: Our six dogs enjoy going to Mitchell Hammock Pet Hospital because the staff always appears to be concerned. They are very attentive and co-operative regarding any treatment and treat my animals as if they were their own. I feel confident Dr. Dudley provides a level of care that will keep our pets in excellent health.

Fantastic experience: We have been to the Mitchell Hammock Pet Hospital twice in the past month, once for an examination by Dr. Dudley and then for a 17-day boarding stay. We found the facility and staff very pet friendly and never did we feel that our dog's needs were not their top priority. The staff was friendly and obviously very caring with the animals. Freddy came home the other day happy, calm and clean. What else could we ask for? We'll be regular customers in the future.

Fantastic experience: I have taken my pets to Dr. Dudley for about 20 years and have always been very pleased with the skilled and compassionate care he and his staff have provided. They care about their patients and follow up to see how they are doing. Dr. Dudley is very thorough with his diagnosis and treatment, plus he takes the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment options. Fantastic experience: Just picked up my dog from another satisfying boarding experience. Dr. Dudley and office staff are great and the services they offer are outstanding. They remember my name and make you feel like family. I rescued my dog about a year ago and the care she has received has being outstanding. All charges are always clearly discussed upfront and Dr. Dudley will make sure you receive the best prices in town. Fantastic experience: I have been taking my cat to Dr. Dudley for several months now. She has regular visits every couple of weeks for her "day of beauty" in addition to her health exams. Dr. Dudley and staff have been very accommodating, friendly, and professional at all times. My cat actually LOVES to go and literally runs into her crate as soon as I open the door. This is the only time she ever goes into her crate so I know she is comfortable with his staff and their services, otherwise, she wouldn't get in her crate. I love the budget friendly options he has to offer. Thursday grooming specials, debit card points, and spot on are just a few options. Thank you for taking such good care of my kitty!

Fantastic experience: I took my old cat there to have surgery for a tumor and I had a really nice experience: on time, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They are all super-respectful, friendly, and very efficient without being pushy. The doctor is the best and he is clearly into his job and your pets’ health! He is very open and explains everything about what's going on with your pet and what he's going to do and why. They really took a good care of my old lady! Highly recommended them!

Fantastic experience: Dr Dudley and his staff have been taking care of my pets for over eighteen years. I have had two of my pets put to sleep because of medical problems that couldn't be fixed. Thier medical problems were mostly due to their age. My dog lived to be 18 years old. Dr. Dudley and his staff know how painful this is to the owners of the wonderful pets that they take care of. Positive experience: Was very thorough in initial appointment but have been disappointed with subsequent communication: -Did not call me after procedure finished -Did not inform me that stitches were dissolvable (and left one that was visible when got home) -Did not check file when scheduling appointment for follow removal of this stitch to see appt was unnecessary -Have had tumor results for a week and never contacted me -Had confusion between doctor and attendant on whether a stitch had just been removed moments prior

Fantastic experience: We have going to Mitchell hammock Vet hostipel for over twenty years. He is a great vet and his assistant are caring. Granted some test can be expensive for older animals, but he will work with you about the price. The kennels are clean and the dogs seem to enjoy there stays there. Thanks Dr Woody.

Fantastic experience: If you're having a hard time finding a good exotic vet close to Orlando, this is the vet to go to! We had a hard time finding a trustworthy, reasonable exotic vet when we had an accident with our pet rabbit. Dr. Woody and his collegues made it the upmost priority to help us without breaking the bank! They really cared about not only our pet's health but also cared about our financial situation. We know vet fees are expensive but this pet hospital really worked with us to give us reasonable fees whilst giving our pet the best care and attention we could ask for. They also, in fact, even reliablely give courtesy calls for pet wellness checks. The facility is always clean and staff are outstandingly welcoming. Not to sound redundant, but come to this pet hospital if you have any exotic pets! Fantastic experience: I brought my cat Angel here when she began displaying a few symptoms of illness. Dr. Dudley and the staff at Mitchell Hammock were able to take her in for an exam immediately, and she was diagnosed with pneumonia. Even though my dog passed away already because due to some other reason at a different clinic. Fantastic experience: Good knowledgeable doctor. Thorough and takes his time properly diagnosing. I left with a greater understanding of what was causing our cat great discomfort and was given a good treatment plan that I feel comfortable with. As a seasoned and knowledgeable professional in my own field it was obvious this gentleman has been in his field of expertise for a long time and cared. You can not learn this at school. This was our initial visit to Mitchell Hammock Pet Hospital & Boarding. The staff was friendly and professional and handle our puppies with care. Negative experience: My little Boston Terrier was attacked by a very large dog. My wife took her here to be checked out and treated. They charged about $500 to clean the puncture wound in her neck, gave a shot of antibiotics and pain med. They said said for $1200 they would perform surgery to fix the wound. A stitch or 2 with some novacaine is surgery??? They should have put in a stitch for the $500.00. Very disappointed. ***** Response to response. $1200.00 How much do you charge for a spay? My father was a pediatrician. When I was a kid, our Doberman was mauled by a Rotwieller. Many lacerations. My father cleaned the wounds, stitched him up without anesthesia on the kitchen floor and everything turned out fine.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dudley and his staff are wonderful. They were there for me and my cat Ginger when she got sick in 2016 and when she passed in 2019. They were so compassionate and caring and gave her the best of care. I’m still going to him for my cat Pepper and as always, their care is the best. Thank you so much, Dr. Dudley and staff!

Fantastic experience: Our first impression was the staff, who were solidly knowledgeable, patient, responsive and reassuring. I never had any trouble reaching them and could ask detailed questions. I then found that this pet hospital prioritizes cats the same as dogs. Doctor Woody is passionate about treating cats in particular and is equally passionate about educating and explaining everything to the client. For me, personally, this is invaluable. I was actually looking for a "cats only" vet and one was recommended to me - but now I feel that I need look no further.

Fantastic experience: So I’ve been seeing Dr. Dudley and his team since January of 2020. I took my cat Gatsby to get some overall wellness checks after recently adopting him. When I had adopted him, the vet at the shelter recommended that he get his teeth checked out. When I took Gatsby for a wellness exam, Dr. Dudley suggested that Gatsby get a teeth cleaning as he was older and it looked like he might have some teeth problems. He found that Gatsby needed a few teeth pulled. After a successful surgery, they treated Gatsby and I with so much care. Gatsby wasn’t feeling as well after the surgery as they’d predicted so they said “hey we won’t charge you, please let him stay here overnight to recharge and you can come tomorrow night when he’s all better”. It was a scary time and they made it a ton easier. The vet techs are all so kind and compliment Gatsby on his behavior during baths and nail clippings. They’ve taken care of Gatsby during every health hurdle and I’m lucky that they still put up with Gatsby and I Gatsby has recently had some health issues and they’ve taken just as much care as they did when first seeing us. Can’t ask for a better veterinarian and vet tech team. Would recommend highly.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Woody Dudley saved my puppies life when she was misdiagnosed by another vet. He has shown me that there is a higher standard for Vets who choose to be AAHA accredited and his staff is compassionate and kind.

Fantastic experience: Mitchell Hammock has took wonderful care for my dogs, Gizmo and Winnie. The staff is so kind and funny, that it makes me feel at home. It is especially close to UCF, which is very helpful for me since I am currently a student there. I suggest going here, because they provide the best care for any animal and every single one gets out the clinic feeling better than ever.

Negative experience: We've been with this vet for a little while now and while I do think they are knowledgeable and treat my dogs well, they absolutely do try and upsell at every single visit. As other posters have stated, they give your pets unneeded tests and medications. My last visit did it for me, my dog was itching excessively and I couldn't find the reason behind it. He was diagnosed with allergies which he does experience and has been treated for by another vet. Dr Dudley kept insisting he needed a shot to calm down the itching and I kept telling him that he's had it and it doesn't work on him. He continued to push medications. I relented and he got the shot, but as I said, it did absolutely nothing for him. His symptoms persisted. Like I said, he is knowledge and does seem to truly care about the animals, but I can't keep paying 1000 plus dollars each time I take my dogs here. In fact, I have found myself avoiding taking them there because of the cost. We've gone back to our old vet who is further away but also took good care of our dogs and didn't up sell us.

Fantastic experience: REVIEW UPDATE 2020: Been bringing my Cocker Spaniel, Stella, to Dr. Dudley since I moved back to Florida in 2016. We all laugh, because Stella goes to the Vet way more often than I go to my own doc, and she has an amazingly thick file to prove it! She is 11 years old, with lots of elder dog issues, and is well cared for at Mitchell Hammock, both when she is there to see the doc, and when I board her there. The entire staff at Mitchell Hammock is outstanding. They really care about the health and comfort of my pet and whatever anxiety I may have. Dr. Dudley is very thorough in explaining procedures and diagnoses. I wish my personal physician took as much time with me!!!

Fantastic experience: I want to share my experience with my puppies Jack and Frosty when I bought them at the   Puppy Stop. Unfortunately the next day of the purchase I realized they were very sick. I knew about Mitchel Hammock Pet Hospital, and Dr. Dudley put all his experience and professionalism to save the puppies from pneumonia. I am very happy with this hospital because now my puppies are healthy and safe. I highly recommend this hospital. Thanks to Dr. Dudley and all his team!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dudley and staff has been nothing but kind, patient, and understanding towards my kitty. I’ve been bringing her frequently for a diagnosis and they’ve been super accommodating, along with very helpful with filling out all of my forms for our insurance claims. They have been great with detailed explanations and the prices for their services are more the affordable side.

Fantastic experience: We have two senior dogs that we have been bringing to Mitchell Hammock Pet Hospital for the last 5 years. We have experienced many services here from regular checkups to surgeries. Dr. Dudley is very thorough and knowledgeable and his staff is a great group of people. We regularly use their boarding services. Our dogs are always excited to see the staff and are always happy when we pick them up. They are always willing to accommodate to the needs of our senior dogs.

Fantastic experience: I visited this vet for the first time today and had a good experience. I am glad to know they also care for exotic pets like lizards and rats. The doctor did a good thorough examination and made the risks clear while inspecting my sick rat, Gordo. Hopefully he will get better following the doctors recommendations.

Fantastic experience: My fur babies have been going to Dr. Dudley since 2013, he takes time with each of them and makes sure they are doing well. He and the staff are wonderful and take excellent care of them. I've also boarded my dogs there and I have peace of mind knowing they are well cared for when I'm away.

Fantastic experience: Awesome, clean place. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, very organized. Made appointment and got into a room as soon as I walked in. They keep detailed prescription records and instructions so there’s never any confusion. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this place. Our dog was very sick, and they everything they could to try and figure out what to do for him. He was comfortable with them right away, and he recieved the loving care we could only hope for. After he passed we received flowers and a card from the staff, at a time where it was really needed. I only hope they see this review and know how appreciative we are for being there for our poor man, and for us when we didn't even know we needed it. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: My cat was, at most weeks from death. I was broken and Dr. Dudley and his staff came to our rescue. I cannot begin to explain how much love I have for this office-- our cat has been treated like she is their own. On top of that the prices have been fair and the fact that my cat is alive is 100% owed to Dr. Dudley and staff. I cannot thank this office enough for the love, compassion, and paitence with us. Fantastic experience: Dr Dudley was nothing short of amazing! My wife and I brought our corgi in, she had been sick for a few days and was getting worse. He prescribed an anti-biotic and some other meds and withing a week she was back to her normal self, running and playing with my son. We have found our new vet and have an appointment in 3 weeks for a dental checkup, even dogs need dentists which is something we had never considered before. Thank you Dr Dudley!!!

Fantastic experience: Far and away the best veterinary clinic in Central Florida. Dr. Dudley and his staff were all very courteous, competent and highly skilled professionals. Even better was the sincere caring of the animals that they all exhibited. I knew immediately that all pets would receive the finest care, not only in Oviedo, but in the entire Orlando Metropolitan area! Additionally, Dr. Dudley actually is renowned for his canine dental cleaning and actually performs each procedure personally. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Jan 2019: Very accessible NO WAITING... Wonderful caring staff, plus, Dr. Dudley is a caring and considerate veterinarian to my shepherds. He only suggests options and I explain my financial limits so we work with that! I even had my brother bring in his terrier and the care was exceptional to determine the source of rectal bleeding in a short time.

Fantastic experience: Had great teeth cleanings done on both of my dogs here! Loved how nice their breath smelled afterwards. My tough chewer even got his chipped tooth fixed. Everyone was very passionate about my pets and their needs. I also really enjoyed that they took their time with my dogs. On my last visit, they were able to do an emergency surgery after closing on my 13 year old dog who got badly bit at the park on the head. He is all healed up now. Thanks to Dr. Dudley and staff, he's a happy and healthy pup again!

Negative experience: I was a former employee and Dr. Dudley has trouble getting along with anyone. Not a very nice man.
