Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital highly enough. They provided the best care for my first pup until her passing last year, and they continue to care for my new pup with the same dedication and compassion. Although my drive is 45-minutes, I would not consider going anywhere else. The staff here are very accommodating with my schedule and always takes the time to thoroughly explain everything dealing with my pup’s care, including costs. I have never felt pressured into purchasing everything at once. Instead, they offer recommendations that fit my financial situation while providing the best care for my dog. If something isn’t working for me at the moment, they provide alternative solutions to help manage costs, which was especially valuable when I was doing everything I could for my pup before she passed. Their commitment to both the well-being of pets and the financial realities of pet owners is truly rare. I trust them completely and will continue bringing all my future pets to Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital.

Fantastic experience: Such a great vet experience. Dr. Q and both of the vet techs (Katherine? Maybe Katie? So sorry I don’t remember names well) were so sweet and made me feel so comfortable and like my cat was absolutely going to be taken care of. Absolutely loved everyone I came in contact with and my pet was treated so well. You guys are awesome!!!

Fantastic experience: Always professional. The doctors really listen to the clients, giving each generous time, and discuss recommendations that are focused on quality of life, including both testing and treatment. Not the least expensive, but well worth the reasonable costs for their expertise and compassion. They are exceptional diagnosticians with the medical resources and philosophy that promote not only optimal animal health but also the human-animal bond.

Fantastic experience: Very caring and professional staff. Our regular veterinarian was booked up. Found out this is a sister hospital. They were very accommodating. Took care of our 2 pups from the second they reported for the procedure. All the way through and afterwards. I highly recommend them.

They have a great system going on so it’s easy to make appointments and to get in touch if there’s any questions! I had a primary vet that was 5 minutes away from my house but I made this my primary although it’s a 30 minute drive it’s so worth it! Thank you guys

Fantastic experience: My cat has a history of bad vet visits but never with Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital. Family and friends have commented they appear pricier than other vets. But they are 5 minutes away from me and my cat (who typically behaves horribly) is always a perfect angel for them. They provided and explained the treatment plan and costs and understood when I declined services I could not afford. Being able to schedule online (available usually the night before) is also a plus. If you are looking for a good vet, last minute, that will care for your pet, and do not mind price, I recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Quintal and Dr. Q were amazing and kind in taking care of Sadie, as well as the many techs and front desk staff that cared for her over the multiple visits we’ve had. I can’t thank everyone enough for their compassion and commitment to helping my kitty get better. Negative experience: Bad experience in this place, my dog ​​is my family and I take great care of her, today I found a minor problem in her ear, and I did not hesitate for a minute to take her to a specialist doctor (Veterinarian), in In my first interaction, they brought me a subscription proposal without even knowing her, which I rejected because it was not my priority at that time, I was worried about some ear infection, when the doctor came to the room, she asked a sequence question, which is normal. and acceptable, she rarely looks at her ear, but acceptable she took a sample for testing and 15 minutes later another proposal for $630 approximately my face was a poem. I can't imagine that kind of testing machine with accounting systems capable of making a faster proposal with multiple drugs. I told them that my dog ​​did not have a serious infection when my dog ​​never showed any discomfort. When I stood by my point of view and what my gut was telling me, they were able to reduce the amount of medication to two: antibiotics and ear rinse. My unsolicited advice, don't let them go because they want you to pay, obviously your pet is the only number for them $$$

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with the warmth and friendliness of the staff and the Vet. This was my first time there. I needed an appointment quickly because the vet clinic I used the day before got a positive result on my Puppy's heartworm test. I was instructed by Proheart, the manufacturer of the preventive medicine he's been on for over five years, to go to a vet and have them do a full blown LAB test to verify that he does not have heartworm. So for me, timeliness was important. They saw me same day and their follow-up was absolutely perfect. They called, texted and emailed the results as soon as they came in and coordinated the follow-up with the case opened by Proheart manufacturer, Zoetis. They spent a lot of time with me and put me at ease. And they have won me over as the new vet for my Puppy. I can't thank them enough for their kindness.

Over the years I’ve acquired two formerly stray kitties and the staff has always been awesome with being fully transparent and helpful, especially with my babies having minor health problems after rescuing them. They are 10/10 here and I recommend them to everyone!

Professional and caring from the person that make the appointment in the phone to the check up. Update: I have 2 new cats. Animal trails are amazing explaining treatment options and follow up. Their staff are very cordial and show caring for your situation. They listen to your concerns and follow up with everything with your adore one's treatment. They understand that your bringing a family member and not an animal or pet. The doctors are very skillful and they really listen. They understand budget issues and they find treatment that will address the situation of your pet within your budget. I strongly recommend this vet.

Fantastic experience: Last week we found a stray who had severe wounds all down her back, was quite malnourished but was the sweetest little dog ever. After making multiple calls and not being able to find anyone who could see her, I reached out to ATAC. They squeezed us in to their busy schedule and we’re so sweet to her - they also helped us determine what she needed, what had to be done urgently and got us started on antibiotics, dewormers and pain/anxiety meds. The next day we had a whole different dog. While they weren’t able to take the surgery on for us immediately, they helped us locate resources who could - and since this was a stray, at a reduced cost. This little pup is now on the mend and even got the zoomies yesterday- something I wouldn’t have imagined happening so quickly. Thank you Dr Quinones and staff for caring so well for this sweet baby.

Negative experience: I brought my dog here a few times, each of which we were there for hours and waited at least an hour in the room waiting for the vet to finally come in. The last time we visited my dog had an infected dew claw, the vet was quick to bring me an estimate for sedation, getting samples and sending it to a lab which would have cost me over $1,500. I took my dog to a different vet for a second opinion and they prescribed a medicine for the infection, $125 and it was healed. They are always overly busy, have a lot to say about which food you’re feeding animals ( vets are NOT nutritionists and partner with brands they make money from ) and quick to charge you $$

Negative experience: I had taken my cat here for a urinary problem, they told me to drop her off very early in the morning and said they would call me when she was ready. Around 4pm I got a call from them, and they said they weren’t able to get a urine sample from my 6 pound cat. She is tiny and has a no bite history, but for some reason they were not able to get a urine sample from her all day. They said over the phone that she was being “too bad” and kept repeating how “bad” she was being. When I brought her home she was licking me and acting as sweet as ever. They also charged me a ridiculous amount for things that she didn’t need, and also prescribed her a food with primarily chicken in it, when I have told them she is allergic to chicken.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this place at all. I was sent here by their sister company Eastwood animal clinic. I previously took my female cat to be seen at Eastwood animal clinic and received a quote for my male cat to be neutered and declawed. Unfortunately, I lost the paperwork I called and they told me to come here. I called and they told me that I needed me to come in for my estimate upon arriving I discovered they wanted to exam my cat to be able to provide an estimate I have never heard of this before. I have called many clinics who can provide estimates, and I refuse to pay for an exam that my cat does not need not knowing if this is where he’s going to be seen. they definitely need to inform clients of the process before having them waste their time driving over here. Seems to me like they’re just money hungry.

Fantastic experience: Spoke to Doris yesterday … she was SO Kind and caring about my questions regarding their Vets & facility

Negative experience: I brought my cat here when she was lethargic and not eating. They kept her all day, recommended a 5000 dollar surgery that I could not afford. They basically told me she would die without the surgery. I brought her home and she was able to pass the obstruction on her own, when they refused to give her any sort of laxative at this vet. My bill? 1500 dollars. Don’t bring your pet here unless you wanna be broke!

Positive experience: I brought my cat in to have her eye looked at. They were very friendly but got weird about the charges and such. they provided me with two "plans" ranging from around $400 to $700. These included all kinds of things including a VIP plan with them. I was confused about all this extra stuff and told them i just wanted to get my cat diagnosed. that bill was $250 with meds, which is quite fair, but still, what was all that before? I was told to come back so they could do a check up. they charged me another $50 because i wasn't a VIP member with the practice... They also examine your cat behind closed doors. That doesn't bother me too much as it's mostly for the Vet's convenience, but I know that it does to some people. They do genuinely seem to care about the animal's well being, but i've been burned before, and the billing thing makes me uneasy.

Me and my cat Clarabelle went there and they were amazing we were put inot a room right away they reviewed all her information informed me of prices ahead of time and even showed me how to cut her nails (difficult because i am only 1 person). The even gave me a cute little ward for her. Everyone there was so nice.

Negative experience: Do not take your animal here if you want to spend a fortune, wait for ever, and not have them call you back. I went in for my cat because he was excessively drooling and had wheezing, I waited almost an hour for the actual vet to see me and she didn’t even go over anything with me she just looked at him, asked me what was wrong and told me she would be back to let me know what she was going to do. She never came back after that and I only spoke to the vet tech. She showed me a paper of what they wanted to test him on and it was over $1,000. I’m a college student so I obviously didn’t have that kind of money so I asked the tech if she could go over everything and tell me what the vet said was absolutely necessary. The tech could barely explain what anything was on the paper and couldn’t even pronounce some of the things she was trying to explain to me. I was confused but I wanted to get him tested for as much as I could so I knew what was wrong with him. I got the price down to $700 but with the medicine it ended up being $800. After I told her what I wanted to test him for I asked if I could speak to the vet again to make sure I understood what I was getting done for him but she never came back in to talk to me. I only had blood work done and an X-ray and after the X-ray she told me what was wrong but she would come out and talk to me when I picked up the medicine but she again, never came out to talk to me and the receptionist told me she would call me and she NEVER DID. After I spent $800 I didn’t even get a phone call back and my cats wheezing and drooling is back. Everyone was sweet but it’s definitely unorganized and they have no problem ripping people off.

Fantastic experience: I was a bit nervous taking my Golden to the vet I do not have insurance and money is tight. But they gave me an estimate before any treatment and they were respectful when I decided which services I could afford. The medicine they prescribed is working so I am so grateful. The staff was very nice and I would recommend them highly My baby is a happy dog again.

Fantastic experience: They are very friendly, gentle and loving with my pets. They take the time to know me and our cats. They were very kind helping us with our older cat and understanding his condition and possible ways to treat him. They have been fantastic with our new cat and helping treat his upper respiratory issue. They also work with me to try and fit my schedule.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful for this hospital! I came in as an emergency walk in with my dog at deaths door. It was such a traumatic experience. My dog is alive because of the incredible doctors that worked together to save her. They were so gentle and kind with my dog and worked with me on my dogs best options. All credit goes to the talented doctors as well as the staff who helped save her.

Fantastic experience: I visited Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital for the first time this week and I can easily say I have never felt and experienced so much compassion and knowledge. Our lab has had a variety of health issues and Dr. Duprey was able to give us answers and a solid treatment plan at an affordable price. He respected our wishes when it came to how much we can spend on the issue and also made sure he spent enough time to help answer our questions. I did not feel like a number, I felt like family. Everyone there was so kind and helpful I highly recommend this team and will continue to go back!

Fantastic experience: Our 6 month pup woke up with his eye sealed shut from gunk on a Saturday. Our normal vet was closed, but right down the street from our house was Alafaya Trail animal hospital and they offered Saturday hours without being emergency. We got a same day appointment on a Saturday, which in itself is work 5 stars. It’s a nice waiting room and they offer free water for humans. It was a pretty long wait honestly, but I assume it was because we were last minute and it was Saturday. They were incredibly nice and really loved animals, which you could just tell. Our dog freaking loved them. We got meds and a follow up appointment. They texted a few times just to check on him. They were also reasonably priced compared to our other vet. Overall it was a great experience and we are switching to this hospital as our permanent vet…they were that good.

Fantastic experience: I was attended by Dr. Q & Kim. They were both amazing!! They let me know what was the best treatment for my puppy (Canelo) and pointed me in the right direction for what he needed. It’s rare these days to see Vets who truly care for one’s specific needs. Other vets I’ve been to in the past tend to upcharge you and sell you on things you may not need… not here though. I will surely be coming again!

Sandy came to us with a lot of health problems and the staff at Alafaya Trail have been extremely patient and helpful to us. Fantastic experience: Everything about my experience here was a 10/10. The space was clean, the workers at the front desk were so kind, and they made everything so simple with the price breakdowns. The vet tech was super knowledgeable and the vet herself was very kind and smart as well. it genuinely felt like I had a competent and caring team around my dog and this was just for a normal check up. I would definitely trust them - all of them mentioned their own pets and gave me a lot of good insight, options and information for any topics that came up. Would 100% recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a vet for my new Australian Shepard puppy, Azula. This is my first puppy, but we have a cat as well. The cats vet has made it so you don’t get to speak to the vet, only the staff, so I looked around for vets near me with high reviews. Seeing Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital had 5 stars, and other reviews talking about how the staff actually cares about your animal, I decided to give it a shot. After requesting an appointment late at night, I received a call the very next morning from them asking when I was available. The woman I spoke with on the phone was INCREDIBLY helpful, easy to talk to, and excited for me for getting my puppy, I could hear it in her voice. Arriving for my appointment, the staff melted at how cute my baby is!!! She was very well behaved, slept most of the time, was wonderful for the vet and her assistants. The vet was very helpful, more than willing to answer all of my little questions, even went as far as printing out additional information for me without even asking. Very receptive, very easy to talk to. Before I left, they had apparently taken pictures of my baby Azula, and printed out a little certificate commemorating how well behaved she was. I didn’t expect that, I almost teared up, it was so cute. A receptive, engaging, positive staff, everybody seems like they loved their jobs and that makes me feel like I’m putting my baby in the right hands. When I DID leave, another member of the staff walked out with me and helped me get the puppy and my belongings in my car, as I came to the appointment alone. All in all, wonderful experience. Great vet, great staff, great time. If you work there and you’re reading this, thank you very much, I appreciate you all and thank you for taking such good care of Azula.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Q and Dr. Duprey are terrific! They listened to my concerns with my dog who has not been feeling well. A Vet (not at this practice) was unable to diagnose the condition my dog had these 2 Vets had my dog in for teeth cleaning and found 2 teeth that were bad and were extracted. We are hopeful that this action will help my dog feel better. Their kindness to me and listening to my concerns makes me feel that they care about the animals they see. The Vet techs and office are kind and also terrific. I'm glad I found them.

Fantastic experience: My bubba wasn’t feeling well and I’ve not had good experiences at the vet. When I called this location I immediately knew we found our new vet home!! They were just as worried as I was about my boy and got him in quickly. EVERYONE there treated my bubba like he was already part of the family and THAT is what it’s all about! Highly Recommend!

Fantastic experience: The front desk was very friendly and accommodating during check in and check out. Kim was very sweet and knowledgeable when we brought our new kitten in for her first check up. The whole staff was very helpful throughout the whole experience, we’ll definitely be back for our cat’s regular check ups.

Fantastic experience: The Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital’s Staff are the best! They are always attentive and take good care of our kitties every time they get sick. The doctors are very knowledgeable and give us great advice! There is without a doubt no better vet around!

Fantastic experience: We have been bringing our fur babies to Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital for over 10 years now. Dr. Duprey is phenomenal! As is all of the team! Our critters love going in to see everyone. We are family there.

Fantastic experience: I took my 14 year old dog Benji to Dr. Duprey several months ago. He had a large mass on his ear that needed to be removed and other vets in town would not remove it due to my dogs other issues. After making sure my dog could handle the surgical laser (bloodwork, xray of heart, etc) , Dr. Duprey removed the masses using surgical laser. This is a wonderful hospital with top notch vets, vet techs and front desk staff. Their kindness to me and listening to my concerns makes me feel that they care about my animal. I have full confidence in this office!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Duprey and all of the staff are incredible! My sweet Frenchie literally jumps out of the car when we get to the vet. It makes me so happy to know how much they love my dog and take care of her. I wouldn’t trust my girl with anyone else! :)
