Experiencia fantástica: This is my dog Casey’s and cat Graysons primary vet which Casey is working on his brave face. I love that this vet is affordable compared to other vets and their level of compassion is unmatched. They also have always been accommodating when there is an emergency situation as long as I will call first thing in the morning. (That’s my experience and perhaps shouldn’t take mine as a 100% for course.) They have 3 maybe even a 4th location which I have had the same good experiences at others. All in all I recommend pet I insurance also btw.

Experiencia fantástica: I have taken my 18.5 year old cat to them twice now to get help with her claws. She can sometimes be a handful to handle but the staff there did great at keeping her relatively calm while they attended to her. The vet did a brief but pretty thorough exam and updated me on what she saw and heard, and did not try to sell me anything. There were two vets in the exam room. Both extremely nice and seemed very knowledgeable. I had been extremely disappointed with my previous vet, and am relieved and delighted to have found a practice with which I am comfortable. I went to the Woodman Road location, so I only have experience with that office.

Experiencia fantástica: I dont normally leave reviews, but I felt compelled to leave one to further prove how amazing this practice is. My 10 year old foxhound mix got really sick and needed emergency care, they fit us in as soon as they were able. While unfortunately, we had to make the call to put him down, they made it as pleasant of an experience for us as I feel humanly possible. They let myself and my daughters be right there, did paw print impressions for us, and even gave us private time after until we were ready to go. We did private cremation so we could bring him back home, and his ashes are in such a high quality engraved box, and included was a ink print of his paw, and a small baggie of his fur. I was not expecting the additional items, but they made me so bittersweetly happy. I have thanked them so many times for being there for us, and I will forever recommend them to those who need their services!

Experiencia negativa: Took my baby in 2 weeks ago and the tech Julia or Julie was very rude. She said she was a vet tech and did not recommend giving a leptospiris vaccine to my dog due to reactions. The follow day when consulting with my vet they said this was incorrect and that she was not a tech??? Just weird and don't trust this clinic anymore.

Experiencia fantástica: Great Vet. Recommended to me by a neighbor, I showed up with a seriously sick pup. They did not turn me away. They made time to squeeze us in, on a Friday, no less, did a thorough exam, diagnosed the problem correctly, AND, squeezed the required surgery into a an already full schedule . All while being very polite and courteous to a pet mom who was at her wits end. Dr. Habib and her team have taken wonderful care of my pup and me, showing complete patience in explaining everything and answering ALL my questions.. Hazel is on the mend, and I could not be more pleased, and relieved, to have found this practice when I did. Thank you Locke-Taylor DVM, and Dr. Habib. Highly recommend. They took care of Ivy when they operated on her cancer and helped us find someone to operate on her knees giving her added time to her life, and they are continuing to help us with Zac as he is now14 y.o. and experiencing the effects of joint and allergy issues. They know us and make us feel welcome and cared for there. I would recommend them highly whether you are continuing with a healthy dog or have some special areas of focus for your pet.

Experiencia fantástica: Savage The Kitten and I had a phenomenal experience! The slow feeder that was recommended has completely changed her vomiting issues. Dr. Jillian White (and her nurse) made us both so comfortable. Dr. White's knowledge and experience (specifically with felines in this case) is extensive and reassuring. She really listened to all of the issues The Kitten has been having. I never felt rushed, even though I had a last minute appt. The front desk was also incredible and kind. I called the same morning as my visit and, before they said anything else, they asked what was wrong with my cat in such a genuine and caring way. I had asked if she could be seen that same day and they squeezed me in! Our checkout was a breeze with lovely helpful people who always had a smile on their face. It says a lot about any business when the people that work there (on every rank of the ladder) are happy to be there and enjoy their jobs and the staff here definitely do and then some. Savage The Kitten and I are so grateful that we found Locke A Taylor (Parham Rd)! We've finally found our new vet home!

Experiencia negativa: Honestly, if I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would. It all starts with my TERRIBLE experience at the front desk area. It took them 10 minutes to greet me and I also received very rude stares and comments from the girl with too much, very cakey make up on and eyelashes that look very bad and unnatural. HER MAKEUP WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I also received rude stares from the very bland looking female workers at the front desk. ONLY ONE person was nice. My terrible experience ended with the very unprofessional vet veterinarian Habib. She barely spoke to me and did not give me eye contact. They were so rude to my animal and he was VERY uncomfortable and crying. DO NOT COME HERE!!! I will be reporting this information EVERYWHERE!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: This was my second in office visit but I have ordered and picked up prescriptions from the Parham road practice as well. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about my experience as well as quality of care for my female 3 year old German shephard. My previous vetinarian banfield had friendly staff but was always understaffed and had alot of not so great policies including typically being required to leave your pet and pick them up later instead of being there to Comfort them and make the whole process less painful for everyone.im sure as everyone with a shepherd or breed thats instinctually very attached knows it makes their experience exponentially better if they know youre there with them. And locke Taylor gets this and has been completely appropriately staffed for an efficient visit everytime I've been. I had doctor Jackson Ames this time and he was outstanding all around as well. If you want a vetinarian who takes the extra steps to let you know they value your business and your pet. I highly recommend Locke Taylor.

Experiencia fantástica: This morning I took my dog, Icy, to this vet as I have been doing since we got her nearly three years ago. Icy was a "breeder dog", (English Cream Golden Retriever). She is friendly, loves people, but can be nervous when going to the vet. And, today was no exception. Everyone at Locke A. Taylor is well versed in handling this kind of situation. So getting Icy out of the car, and calming her in the examining room is one of their many "talents". I am consistently impressed with the care, concern, and overall importance given to each pet as well as their owner. Glad that I can depend on Locke A. Taylor DMC and Associates, and so can Icy.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve taken my senior dog to both of their clinics locations since 2017, and have seen Dr. Taylor, Dr. Peace, Dr. Scott, and Dr. Ames. All their vets and assistants and front desk have provided the utmost care and compassion. They cared for my dog’s tumor removal, teeth extraction, and even an urgent emergency visit after my dog was attacked by a big dog and got gashed across his neck. They stitched him up nicely and it was like it never happened! This veterinary practice is gentle, no frills, and the standar for excellence!

Experiencia negativa: They’ve gone downhill pretty bad, after my first two visits, it seemed nearly impossible to get my dogs in. Even after declaring it being urgent by the vet, they still couldn’t make time in their schedule to see my dogs -as an existing customer. The front desk slob, I mean employee, then talked to my wife like she was some pest. Disgusting. Let’s not forget, they couldn’t even make time to put my dog down (he ended up having cancer and lost his ability to walk). Then, my other dog contracted Colitis and was extremely ill 3 months later. They couldn’t even bother to make a 30 minute appointment for either occurrence. I was born at night, but not last night, and I’m not some peasant and quickly found better care for my family’s animals. Now we see at Mechanicsville animal hospital where all the GOOD vets that were with Locke Taylor went.

They give advice which is sometimes difficult (we had to put our Shepherd down when we found out she had bone cancer) They recently tended to our puppy and were great as usual!

Technicians were fantastic with explaining everything in detail and giving helpful hints to use with canines as well. Very gentle and friendly with dog. Drew blood, gave shots and trimmed nails. Vet was very detailed and took time to explain and answer questions. Just the absolute best experience ever with veterinary services!

I even brought my other dog so he could say goodbye too. I got a lovely condolence card from her doctor. I took my little dog in today and he was treated well. The vet tech came and got Montego then brought him back. I greatly appreciate their extra steps to facilitate us. Plus good results from the blood test.

Experiencia fantástica: I always enjoy the front desk Ladies, the vet techs And the doctors! It is always surprising when I leave that my bill is not overwhelmingly high in fact it’s overly low. Today Elsie had her nails Clipped -They fit me right in As soon as possible the same day and it was only $14 where as other places might have been about four times as much as about the pricing of the veterinary services. Also, they’re so much lower than those places and the quality is always Amazing. I feel horrible that Dr. Taylor passed away But he is well loved and Very, very missed! His legacy will live on

Experiencia negativa: If I could give Dr Sydnor 0 stars I WOULD !!!! Back in November my dogs ear was almost bit off… she put 3 stitches in that looked like i could untie with my fingers, and a 6 inch drainage tube in my dogs head and within 3 days she had wiggled the loose stitches out and busted the ear open again. Needless to say, my dog had to go through another surgery where a vet LISTENED to us about how active our dog is… and he stiched her with dissolvable sitches, glue and sent us with a cap to keep her from shaking her torn ear when she moved her head. Fast forward to February and I had another appointment with her (should have cancelled and went with someone else but we gave her the benefit of doubt…..), She proceeded to highly recommend $300 worth of lab work on my dog…. Then proceeded to call back with negative fecal results (which she said could be “false negative”)… she also asked to re-test my dogs urine because it was concerning for KIDNEY FAILURE, however the $172 worth of BLOOD WORK said that my dogs kidneys were FINE. And she could not explain to me the rationale behind rechecking her urine other than the timeframe it sat around…. And recommended i bring it back again to sit around for 2 hours…. She kept talking herself in circles about needing to REPEAT LABS ON MY DOG THAT IS ACTING MOSTLY NORMAL… with no perception of a full picture of what could possibly be going on. And deaf ears to what was coming out of my mouth about what my dog has going on at home. I spent 10 minutes talking to another vet at the Staples Mill location, who in 10 minutes and without seeing my dog… SIMPLY BY LISTENING TO ME, she was able to come up with a possible resolution for my dogs hacking cough (that Dr Sydnor INSISTED WAS VOMITING FROM A PARASITE INFECTION DESPITE NEGATIVE RESULTS) Dr Sydnor… a lesson here is you don’t always know better than your patients humans….. Experiencia fantástica: We saw Dr. Morgan for the first time today. We were extremely satisfied with the knowledgeable staff and how much time everyone took with us today. For a pup who doesn't like going to the Dr., it made all the difference in the world for him and us.

Experiencia negativa: Called 3 days ahead to schedule an appointment. On the day of, dropped my pup off at 8:30am. Was not informed my dog would be staying at the clinic for 8 hours. Called 6 times and left a voicemail only to drive to the clinic and be told she isn’t ready yet. Who cares about affordable when they’re unreliable.

Experiencia fantástica: Molly is the best vet ever. This is the second time we have taken our sweet puppy, Jax, a ten week old golden retriever. Jax loves everyone there. Excellent staff, very friendly. What a wonderful place to take your fur babies! Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: We are so very happy that we found Locke Taylor. Before we moved to midlo we even drove to them from Nottoway County. Dr. Morgan and all of the staff are wonderful. All of our animals get the best care and the price is about 1/3 of what we were charged at our rural vet. Never do we feel pressured to do expensive treatments, but are always given options. At this practice my mobility service dog is treated for free which is appreciated more than they know. Being physically disabled is expensive (lots of expensive equipment) and my dog works extra hard so her health and well being are extremely important. It's refreshing to see how much this practice gives back to the community. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my cat Batman to the doctor because he was having problems vomiting his food. All the staff were very friendly and very kind, but very relaxed. The doctor gave him Prescriptive kibble to alleviate his digestive issue. She was very caring and concerned about us. I would recommend this Veterinary practice Toni one when I was young I took my pet to Dr. Taylor. And was amazed at his Caring demeanor with the animals. It appears the practice has continued in the next generation.

Was able to get all his shots in one visit and planning to go back in a few weeks for a checkup. Really provided peace of mind and assurance my pet would be ok! Great service and great people!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been taking my senior cat here for about a year, and he's always gotten excellent care. They've been flexible with scheduling due to me being a night shifter and having odd availability and they don't overcharge.
