Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic clinic, knowledge and caring staff, they helped me get my fur baby back to health! Thank you! My poodle stopped eating. She suffers seizures when she goes too long without food and I was on a clock with her. They got me the next open spot and it was perfect. Saved me an ER visit. Dr. Graham and his team are amazing! Gracie was very upset, making her exam challenging. They showed such care and empathy, helping her, and giving me a great diagnosis. 2 days later, following doctor's instructions, and she is recovering great! Long term symptoms she has had are going away and she seems as happy to eat now as when she was younger. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Graham Is the best veterinarian I have ever had for my dogs. He is so sincere he cares about your pets and the pet owners.. He make sure your pets get the best care possible. He goes way above and beyond for your pets and treats them with such care. Experiencia negativa: Outrageously priced for a 15 min check up. Barely talked to the doctor. It was almost as much as her ER vet visit and this was just a check up after the fact to make sure she was doing okay. The tech that handled her the most was super sweet though.

Experiencia negativa: Don't go there. They hide their pricing and make you get a checkup and pay for it which is OK but then hit you with a large bill to get the services you originally went there for. Then when you question the price they get mad and put you on a do not service list

Experiencia negativa: Feels like a bait and switch. This was our first visit so a deposit was required. Totally understandable, people no show all the time. We asked if there would be additional charges for the visit. They said no but if we wanted anything else they would tell us the charges before. The reason for our appointment was a med refill. Everything was fine, until we were told to get the script he'd need bloodwork for another $180. Ok fine you want the full picture, I get it but also be upfront. They knew the visit was for a RX so they should have known the bloodwork was necessary. After the blood is drawn we were told they wouldn't give us the RX until we try another medication. This medication was $30 for a WEEK. His RX is $15 for 3 months. An $80 visit for a $15 prescription quickly turned into almost $300. This isn't okay. Be upfront.

Regarding pricing, we have every client review and sign an estimate before we move forward with any services or treatments. This is to ensure full transparency and to prevent any surprises. We also avoid giving exact diagnostic prices over the phone, as costs can vary depending on what is needed once the doctor evaluates the pet. We never want anyone to feel misled if something changes during the visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is so caring, thoughtful, and kind here! My 13 year old fur baby had a few visits, was really sick, and then had to be put to sleep. They really went the extra mile to take care of us! Petplus savings plan was affordable, and already saved me more than I'll pay for it for the 12 months. Thank you to all of the staff for your kind, caring, compassionate words in the sympathy card! Made me cry in your parking lot, but I was also comforted by them!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my dog there and I’m so impressed what I walked into. First the receptionist are so kind and organized. They immediately take me and my dog into a room and inform me that a technician or doctor will be in shortly. As soon as I get situated in the room, the technician comes in a few minutes later and speaks to me. They take a brief look at my dog, get vitals, and addresses any questions or concerns I may have. They then give me an estimate of how much the visit is and I honestly really appreciate them being upfront about pricing. They give a list of all what they encourage/recommend and it made me feel aware. Both doctors here are outstanding. They listen and are so understanding and respectful. I have been having great experiences here and will return again. I highly recommend coming here, due to my experience. I have feel so assured on my dogs health. Thank you for everyone on being so kind and awesome!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Started here because another vet in the area charged $500.00 for an x-ray of my dog. X-ray tech has been around since 1895. There is no way it costs $500.00 for a single snapshot. I called bull shenanigans and moved on. WVVets has been marvelous! Not only sensitive to cost control (I'm a senior on SocSec), but to my lovely pets as well. I'm VERY pleased with these professionals here and I thank them for it.

Experiencia negativa: This place has gone down hill. It used to be nice bringing my pets here. I used to feel that my pets were in the best of hands. Now the new front desk staff is completely incompetent. I am sure they never talk to the "medical team" or veterinarian when they say they will. They never reply to emails or call back when they say they will. I have to find a new vet simply because the receptionists cant figure out what their supposed to be doing. This is reflective of the management of whom I overheard talking badly about another client. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE.

Experiencia negativa: The vet appointment went well and I appreciate all the help. However, I got a call this morning stating my dogs fecal sample came back positive and they wouldn’t tell me what it’s positive for until I can speak with a vet. Respectfully, don’t call customers to tell them their dog has a positive test result and have them sit in suspense until a vet finds time to call and discuss the results. It’s incredibly unprofessional. I view my animals as my children and no one wants to hear ‘it’s positive but I can’t say what for.’ Just don’t call unless you can discuss the results right then and there.

Experiencia negativa: When I brought my pup for her 1st set of vaccines, I brought her home where she was very lethargic and unresponsive. They told me to take her to the e.r......$550 later, at the vet e.r they said she was fine, it was probably because she way too small to have received all her vaccines at the same time. That in the future I should spread them out. She was a 3 lb golden doodle. Today, at age 4, I brought her back for her rabies vaccine, they said she need parvo too. They were going to give her the vaccines infrastructure of me, then allow the sudden they decided to don't behind the scenes. They brought her back like 7 minutes and im home now. Shes shaking like crazy, and has a fever. Like WTH did they do her back there? Why wasn't I allowed to see? Are they amd that I declined the other $440 in unrequested services that they wanted me to add to this rabies vaccination appointment? Never coming back. People are so unprofessional and the dude at the counter was so condescending.

Experiencia negativa: I have never walked out of a vet clinic before — until today. I brought my dog in for a ruptured anal gland abscess. Before the vet even looked at her, I was handed a “treatment plan” with over $800 worth of charges pre-loaded — things like worm meds and extras I never asked for. The exam fee alone was $100, and the upselling started before a single hand was laid on my dog. My dog was in pain and anxious. Instead of compassion, I was told “this is how this vet likes to do it” and that maybe the answer would be to take her to the back and have two people hold her down. Absolutely not. I was shocked. This is not care — this is profit-driven, assembly-line medicine that puts the vet’s preferences above the animal’s wellbeing. If you value transparency, compassion, and actual patient care, look elsewhere.

Experiencia positiva: I wasn't very impressed with our experience here to be honest. We took our senior dog in for his end of life appointment. He was a 55lbs Pitbull and when I got there I explained he can't walk so we'll wait in the car until they're ready. The receptionist told me they can help me carry him and I explained I don't need help carrying him, but I can't stand there for 15 minutes waiting for them to be ready so I need to bring him directly into the room. He said he understood and will get staff. Two techs come out to help me carry him. I explained again I don't need help carrying him. I just need to bring him directly to the room. They made me put him on the scale even though he was weighed by them just a couple weeks ago which he hated and the receptionist offered to carry him for me, but picked him up in the most awkward way so he was squirming with his legs kicking around in the air. We get into the room and they ask about cremation which wasn't something we wanted to do and they had us sign the paperwork. I had to ask about getting a paw print which I feel was something they should have offered, but excusable so they had to redo the paperwork adding that. They were in and out of the room a few times, but didn't really explain the process until well into the appointment so we thought we were having our final moments when it was interrupted by people coming and going. During the appointment, they were loud, laughing, and playing voicemails on speaker phone on full blast which I thought was kinda inconsiderate and inappropriate timing. They explained they offer sedation prior to putting him to sleep, but asked if we wanted it and said they didn't think it was necessary since was already so lethargic and I agreed it wasn't. They did it anyway. When he passed, he was laying right by the main door into the room so I asked if we could use the back door so we didn't hit him with the door trying to get out and they wouldn't let us. That would have consisted of us going about 5 feet over to the back door and through the empty room next to us. We weren't asking to invade another appointment or watch a surgery or anything. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience to begin with and I feel like several small factors made it much worse than it needed to be.

Absolutely ridiculous and clearly a means to prevent ppl from coming to spay/neuter their animals. Would highly recommend going somewhere else. PS - It was $70 - $150 EVERYWHERE ELSE I CALLED. Don't support veterinarians who increase rates just because they can and target their clients. Go support someone else who actually cares about animals health. Not the money it takes to do that.

Experiencia fantástica: A few months after my previous cat passed away, a friend called me and said he had found a stray, female cat and asked if I would mind fostering her while we attempted to reunite her with her owner. I said, "sure." It's been almost a month, and nobody has claimed her, so I am delighted to call this new cat my own. She's a welcomed member of my household and has been a wonderful companion. I named her Zelda. She's a gorgeous, short-haired, orange kitty. Absolutely adorable. I made an appointment with West Valley Veterinary Clinic to discuss shots and vaccinations, etc. Imagine my surprise when they told me, "Your cat is pregnant." OH NO!!!! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. This was certainly NOT the news I was expecting! THIS is the thanks I get for taking in a stray?? Great! That's just..... terrific. I'm trying to be a good sport about it. It certainly gave me a good chuckle. We don't know how far along she is, but I guesstimate the kittens will probably arrive in another couple weeks or so. The folks at the West Valley Veterinary clinic treated Zelda as if she were their own. They were very gentle and caring, and and were extremely thorough. Zelda responded well to them.

Experiencia negativa: Would leave 0 stars if I could. Don’t book here unless you want your money stolen. I scheduled to bring my dog in on a Wednesday, they asked for an $88 deposit (red flag number one) and I ended up taking my dog to the emergency vet (Monday night) and I called to cancel his appointment on Tuesday morning, and they kept the deposit citing that I canceled his appointment on the same day even though I have phone records showing proving that’s not the case. I will actively make sure that I tell anyone and everyone in my life to avoid this veterinary clinic. I will make sure that every other vet clinic, the pet groomer I take my animals to, and everyone across my 10k collective following on social media that this clinic will steal your money from you. 0/5 stars

When have I ever not paid my bill in full at the time of service? Apparently you DO NOT appreciate your loyal customers. I made an appointment for my sick kitty and you now find it necessary to DEMAND a deposit? Why? I do not appreciate the woman's threatening manner, tone or demeanor. I will not be bullied. Do you treat all your customers so disrespectfully? I confirmed my appointment when I received call from you on May 28th. This inarticulate woman's repeated and harassing phone calls DEMANDING a deposit is absolutely ridiculous. Do you really need to treat customers like children? You are not the only vet in town. You are no longer my vet. And just a bit of information for you, I just made an appointment with Hunter Animal Hospital for Tuesday the 3rd. For all three of my cats. Money you lost. I am their new client and they did NOT REQUIRE A DEPOSIT. Experiencia fantástica: We took my senior cat in because he'd been losing weight. They were wonderful while scheduling the appointment. When I arrived they clearly explained the new patient paperwork and saw to my kitty quickly. The staff made the whole experience of discovering my cats diabetes feel not-so-scary. Jade was sweet and good to my old boy. Dr. Sam was very honest and concise with information but it is obvious she loves animals and wants the best for everyone that enters her care. Experiencia negativa: We checked in and were placed in a room. Assistant walks in with a quote for over $1,000.00. Vet had not even seen my dog, discussed my concern or provide treatment options. They wanted to do surgery and include a panel, stool sample and heartworm (which had nothing to do with the issue at hand.) They shave him, provided some cleansing wipes and a steroid cream. I am supposed to follow up but most likely will find a better vet to address the problem.

Experiencia negativa: Some of the staff were nice, that's the reason for an extra star. Other than that, they charge specialty prices for a less than special, very run-of-the-mill clinic. Neutering services were almost $800 for a standard cat castration. There's a clinic in Murray that charges $70!!!! And the front desk lady was laughably condescending about finding a better price. We told the Humane Society (they charge $150) what West Valley wanted to charge and they were dumbfounded. Don't recommend. Even for standard practice, there are better vets with nicer clinics that don't charge as much.

Experiencia negativa: Previously, this place was good, not the best, but it was not the worst and yesterday I took my cat to apply his vaccines and after checking the doctor to my cat, I was given a sheet of all the services and the amount to pay that was an exaggerated amount of $714.00 for services that I did not need. I only asked for his vaccines for which I would be charged $346.00, the person in charge of putting the injections, hurt him leaving many marks and blood on his left leg as if he were a practitioner, when I went to the reception to pay for the services, I was given a different bill of $215.00 asking me to return in two days so that the other vaccines could be applied, because they had only applied the rabies. When asking for an explanation why they had not applied all the vaccines, the cashier became very irritating, with an attitude of a spoiled 15-year-old girl.

During your visit, we made every effort to complete the approved blood draw. However, Theo’s aggressive behavior made it difficult to perform the procedure safely. From your account, it appears that Theo hasn’t had an exam since 2024, so we included our usual recommendations for yearly routine check-ups in the estimate. We understand that not everyone can afford these services all at once, which is why we always ask for permission and a signature before proceeding with any additional procedures. Anything you would prefer not to have done, you are welcome to decline, as you did in this case.

As you mentioned, your balance at checkout was lower than the original estimate. This is because we were unable to administer any vaccines other than the rabies vaccine and, unfortunately, we were also unable to complete the blood draw for the heartworm test. Since these services were not performed, we didn’t want to charge you for them.

In situations like this, our main priority is to ensure the safety of both Theo and our staff. Unfortunately, we could not safely proceed with the blood draw, and due to his aggressive behavior, we were also unable to clean Theo up after the attempt. This is why you may see some blood left on him. Blood draws can sometimes leave marks like this, especially when we are unable to clean up afterward, as we typically would.

The reason we wanted you to return is that, as you know, we prescribed medication for Theo to help calm him down for any future appointments. This medication will help ensure both his safety and ours during procedures moving forward.

We understand that this situation is frustrating, and we did everything we could to stay within safe limits. We are more than happy to discuss other options to make sure Theo gets the care he needs in a way that ensures his comfort and safety. We will send you Theo's records so you can take them to his new vet.

Experiencia negativa: Called to get a prescription filled for my dog, they said they needed to do an exam first since my dog was not a current patient of theirs, completely understandable. Their schedule was about 6 weeks out and my dog did not need her pain medication as she only uses it after long walks or strenuous days for her arthritis. Upon arrival the veterinary doctor gave my dog her exam, explain she probably has arthritis and would need bloodwork done to write a prescription. Then this doctor “required” a chemistry test as well. At no point in the original call to schedule this appointment was there an explanation of bloodwork or a chemistry test to fill this prescription and the prescription was specifically for my dog’s arthritic pain. On top of this I was told the Exam would be $60, upon arrival the “new cost” was $74. They stated that I must have misheard the original exam cost as it hasn’t been that cost for many years and it was $68 until the “recent” increase to $74. I voiced my frustration with the vet tech and showed her how this was a simple bait and switch sales tactic. She apologized and said the doctor and / or the manager would give me a call the next day. That was two days ago. At this point I will stay with Millcreek Veterinary Clinic even though they’re out of the way, even if they’re more expensive. At the very least they are honest, transparent and trustworthy.

Experiencia fantástica: I haven’t owned a pet since I was a kid. All the Vet Techs were super sweet and answered all my questions with great detail. Which really helped ease my stress about my new puppy. They weren’t trying pushing treatments on me. Which was great because the Tech made me feel comfortable about the treatments I did get. Overall great service and great people and very knowledgeable. Will be returning next month for my pup’s second round of shots. Definitely recommend especially if you’re new to the pet game.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently adopted a new puppy from a local shelter and took him to the clinic for his well-puppy exam. As you can imagine, he was understandably scared and anxious about being in a new environment. I was so impressed with how the staff handled everything! The vet tech and vet were incredibly calm, patient, and understanding of his nervousness. They took their time, speaking gently to him, and allowing him to warm up to them at his own pace. I never felt rushed at all, and I truly appreciated how they respected his needs throughout the entire visit. It was such a positive experience, and I feel confident that my puppy is in great hands moving forward. Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I recently moved to the area and needed a vet. Found this one and booked an appointment to get my lit’l dog’s vaccines updated. The appointment went amazing! The staff was super nice and adored my dog, and the Dr was extremely sweet and loving towards my dog. I left knowing I finally found a great place to start taking my fur babies to. However… a couple weeks ago I went back to get my dogs nails done. I walked inside and there were two girls at the front desk, one of them was Winter. They did not acknowledge me at all. I stood there waiting while the two girls were facing each other in their chairs talking and laughing and looking at their phones. After a good 5 minutes or so, I finally cleared my throat and said I was here for an appointment. Winter looked at me and said “Ok” and continued talking to the other girl. Again.. about 5 minutes after that Winter led me into a room. Key note, my lit’l dog has major anxiety. On our first visit, I made sure I let the Dr know that and she said she will make note of it in her files. After waiting a while, Winter came and took my dog to get her nails done. I again reminded her of my dogs anxiety. After a couple minutes I could hear my dog whining. I didn’t think much of it, but then her whining got worse and changed into screaming. Then out of know where I hear Winter yelling at my dog in a loud harsh tone. I was getting pissed off! My dog started screaming louder and Winter continued yelling at her. YOU DO NOT YELL AT MY DOG! I don’t know what the heck Winter was doing to her, but the way she handled things was NOT ok! It was to the point where I started crying myself. To hear my dog cry hurts me. She’s my baby, she’s my world! Winter brought her back to me and she said “She did so good!”. I was appalled she said that! So I said, “Didn’t sound like it!”. I looked at my dog and she had tears in her eyes. Broke my heart. I went up to the front counter and paid for the services and left. The two front girls were not nice! Especially Winter. That girl should not be working there, let alone clipping nails. She hurt my baby and yelled at her. I am beyond upset! I will no longer be doing business here as long as Winter is working there. Makes me sad because I thought I found a good place with good people I could trust to take my fur babies to.

Many dogs do not enjoy nail trims, and panting or whining can be normal signs of nervousness rather than distress. Our staff took the time to explain this to you and also asked if you had any further questions or concerns about Kapri’s behavior or the procedure.

Additionally, when you placed Kapri on the scale, she was vocal about wanting to be picked back up—something we often see in nervous pets. Given this reaction, it is understandable that she would also be vocal during her nail trim. We recognize that this can be concerning for pet owners, but rest assured, our team always handles pets with care and patience.

We sincerely apologize if you felt otherwise and will review this internally to ensure our team continues to meet the high standards we set for client interactions. Experiencia negativa: A bit put off by the bedside manner during our last visit. Our dog had a joint issue and before a physical examination of the joint was done it was immediately suggested we needed X-rays. The estimate was discussed and then finally the physical examination occurred. Take it for what it is, but of course a simple poke of the area determined it was a cyst (post X-ray) and the X-Ray was deemed inconclusive. The money wasn’t an issue so much as the order of operations and transactional nature of the visit. Simply put it felt a bit like a shakedown which was disappointing as we had a great experience last time we took him there. They have recently started charging $75 deposits for your visits (they have suspended them for Feb 2025 to see if they are hurting business) which adds to the feeling that a visit there might be a money grab.

Experiencia negativa: Awful experience over a long period of time, my complaints stretch over years. I do not believe they will change or get better. This vet failed to properly identify a problem with my dog's ears for over a year, allowing it to become progressively worse. Also anesthetized my dog without testing for safety or MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT. They even forgot to remove the IV line after this, I had to go back and wait in line for them to take it out. Sky high pricing. Extremely long wait times, hope your animal can wait a few weeks to be seen. One time I was forced to wait three hours, to be seen at the end of the day because they thought I was someone else, I had been on time for my appointment. They seem to struggle with staffing as well, having a hard time hiring competent people. I will never go back, after giving them several years to figure things out. Experiencia negativa: The place is ok, decent prices and decent wait times. But when I had to put my dog down, they said some pretty unbelievable things behind the doors they think are so thick and sound proof. I struggled for a while thinking I made the wrong choice because I thought they were so professional in their decision. But I knew it was time for my best friend to go. Just because I didn't pay extra for more test that didn't need to be done, behind close doors they said some very unprofessional things. Plus even when I did get all the test done for my dog, they still ducked up and gave him the wrong medicine, causing me to pay an extra $1,000 for their "professional decision"

Experiencia negativa: Would give them negative stars if I could. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO TO THEM IF YOU ACTUALLY LOVE AND CARE FOR YOUR ANIMAL. THEY GIVE YOU A RUN FOR YOUR MONEY AND did not help my sick cat. Ended up having to take him to the ER and spending more money because this vet office did not properly give the care that he desperately needed. Called them back to let them know that he wasn’t improving and refused to see him and told me to take him to the ER where as I asked them for better medicine for him and this clinic still denied to care for him after he was seen the previous day!! Do NOT go to these people. They DO NOT CARE.

I would say it depends on what your situation is, i wish they could have checked out my dog more as i had to go to another vet for more confirmation and ultimately made a surgery appointment at another vet because of this, otherwise for a checkup i would say place is alright!

Experiencia fantástica: On two separate occasions, I was able to get appointments to see a veterinarian within 72 hours, not weeks! My sick kitten was helped within 24 hours of my call. Very happy with their services and recommend the clinic if you don’t want to pay 4-5x prices for emergency care when you can wait a few hours.

Experiencia positiva: Our vet retired recently so we needed to find a new one. My first visit I was pleasantly surprised with the receptionist as she was extremely just as welcoming as when I made the appointment. Even going the extra mile to call the previous vet to get his records transferred. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The check up was fine. This vet offered some suggestions and provided pricing which I appreciated. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The main purpose of this visit was to get a Prescription for the cat foot my very picky Cat needed. I received that at the end of the visit along with a business card providing details on how to order through their site. 4-5 days go by and I have a voicemail asking to call about my order. I called back and felt the backlash of whomever it was that finally answered grilling me as to why I placed an online order when I was given a paper prescription. Wanting to know WHO gave me that card and option. I don’t know it was their office staff Mind you… I was hoping my cat food I ordered online was being processed and hopefully in transit (it wasn’t) I was told I would be getting a phone call to discuss. What is there to discuss? ⭐️ This whole prescription experience has me thinking did I make a good choice to select West Valley Vet.

Experiencia negativa: If I could leave less than 1 star I would! The front desk customer service is THE ABSOLUTE WORST I've ever experienced in my life! According to the receptionist, they have so many customers that they don't need to provide good service. Once they had my money they were rude, unprofessional, argumentative and unhelpful, they clearly don't care to take care of your pet! There's a lot of other vet clinics in the valley, do yourself a favor and find one that actually cares about their customers!

Experiencia negativa: On 07/09/2024 I brought my sick and dying dog here to euthanize her. I was 8 minutes late due to it being a really emotional and hard moment for my family saying goodbye. We knew it was the best for her since she was suffering so much. I called in advance to let them know that we were going to be late and they said it was fine. I get to the "Clinic" and they saw my poor dog suffering and breathing hard, she was nothing but bones. Everything felt rush and ended up rejecting us turned us away, they were really cold, heartless and rude to us. STILL CHARGED US like if we missed the appointment. My poor baby did not deserve that. She was such a good girl and deserved better. This place is nothing but a scam and doesn't care about your pet. This is just another job for them. No compassion, I don't recommend this place for anyone. On 07/14/24 my dog was really suffering and I ended up taking my dog to UrgentVet in Taylorsville and honestly THEY were so nice to us. Gave us a special room for us to be with her. Gave us All the time we needed and even sent and wrote my family a post card, with personalized messages from all the workers. And honestly I’m glad they sent us away because my dog DID DESERVE BETTER than this Horrible place who they call themselves A “Veterinary Clinic”

Experiencia fantástica: I forgot to get the sedative for my girls. Both were scared, though one showed her displeasure by growling. The staff were all bet friendly and informative and considerate of their furry patients. I also asked for some quotes for some future procedures we may need to take. Also were good about helping me bring them both in and out. Kind of hard lugging two carriers around. Highly recommend and will be bringing the other fur babies next month.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t bring your animal here. I brought my pet in 6 months ago. I declined to buy their heartworm meds because you can get a much better price elsewhere. Fast forward six months - time for a prescription. Refill. I had a third-party vendor call to verify the prescription. I got a call from Winter in the office. They couldn’t renew the prescription because they lost or never entered the heartworm test results from six months ago. - Easy fix, come in for a heartworm test at “No cost to me.” Take a day off work to take my dog in for the test. 1 hour before the appointment I received a voicemail from Winter…the doctor who saw me last time no longer works here so you need to be seen by a new doctor for only the exam fee. I arrived in person and heard the same story from Winter in person. So their mistake cost me a day of work, and they want $80 to establish as a patient with another doctor - but she said I’m gettting a free blood test. No. The blood test was their mistake. She said it would be at no cost to me. Now I have to pay for a new doctor exam to establish as a patient? I’ll establish with a new clinic. These folks are disgustingly dishonest.

Experiencia negativa: Tried to get some answers for my dog having seizures out of no where. The lady Danny answered and was very rude, she cut me off before I could finish asking my questions. Then she gave an ugh sound when I asked that even though an owner does not want a dx done right now would they still help start medication first to help my dog now... not later. I was looking for a vet, I definitely will not be going here nor recommending any of my family or friends.

Experiencia negativa: *update* would not recommend now. After the below i continued to get amazing service until Dr Tom had to retire suddenly. Then they want me to start over with a new vet and pay all the fees again, run all the tests again, and completely change the treatment plan even though what we were doing is working. Then they say I never should have been allowed to take my baby home? He'd be dead if Dr Tom wouldn't have let me! Some lady in a suit was walking around all snobby and told me if I didn't like the new changes I should find a different vet. Done! I highly recommend this clinic! My baby Loki (mini schnauzer) started acting funny a few days ago and then just stopped eating and couldn't really walk. I called them and they were full but suggested a few places. I went to an emergency vet and while there they called and said they were going to just squeeze him in! He was in ketoacidosis from undiagnosed diabetes. They worked with me on a treatment plan and even with little hope he'd pull through they walked me through the at home treatment as I couldn't pay $5k to take him to 24 hour care. And today he is doing SO much better!! Thank you Doctor Tom and Clarissa for your care and compassion as well as your flexibility. Truly some of the best. Thank you to the staff at West Valley Vet!

Experiencia fantástica: You guys are the best you have always taken the best care of my pets. I have taken all of my cats here one had cancer and they were so gentle and did everything for her u til we had to have her put down. My 20 year old cat is very fragile and they held her with the utmost respect and gentle to make sure they helped me to make her more co.fortable. my kitten had something g wro g we couldn't figure out and they went above and beyond to help me get her better she is doi g so awesome now. The staff and vets are awesome and do what they can for you furbaby. So.eti.es appts don't go as planned but it's no different than going g to your own doctor thi gs happen adjustment is part of life. I love it here and will always bring g my babies here. Experiencia fantástica: I've had too many appointments this past month for my dog (bad timing on her vaccines boosters and an injury) and I will say it has been an excellent experience. My dog loves the staff there and they know to always have bribes for her. The staff makes me feel like my dog is their favorite to see (which I know can't be possible with how many they see every day) I know it's hard to get regular appointments but they do reserve time for Important issues like a huge scratch on the eye. I really appreciate this vet and know I can count on them when my dog, bird, needs it! :) Enjoy her mugshot when she hurt her eye and couldn't open it

I took 3 of my puppies in, I was overcharged just to examine them, I paid for a rabies and chipped one of them, 3 exams cost me 190 and the lady at the desk kept insisting that I owe more!! ridiculous!! When my puppy got her shot and her chip they took her to a back room, to be honest I don't even think they gave her a chip or her rabies

Experiencia negativa: Update- had to request records multiple times and clinic still wouldn’t send during a life threatening medical emergency. They finally sent them this week and I am shocked at the amount of personal, unnecessary commentary between staff on my pets record. Which was written after I discontinued services with the clinic. It appears they are just spiteful and want to make me look bad to our new vet by saying I was fired - when I left because of incompetent care. I’m glad I did leave when I did. Unacceptable medical practice. Any 5 star reviews were left because of Dr. Tom (other vets who left)and technicians who have left. So don’t let any reviews older than 5 months fool you. I had been a client of West Valley Vet since 1998. I’ve brought 5 dogs there for their care. I have had no issues up until about 4-5 years ago when it seems that all the vets I had seen were just suddenly gone. Since then it has been harder to get an appointment, the wait is long, it’s hard to get prescriptions and food orders, they reduced hours while increasing costs significantly. Still, I continued to be a loyal client and was patient and understanding about anything that wasn’t ideal. There were just enough excellent staff there who were so caring, I just dealt with the issues. Here’s my story- I bring my two dogs in every 6 weeks like clock work for Cytopoint injections, nail trims, and glands expressed. We spend nearly $500 every 6 weeks. Over the weekend one of my dog’s eye looked unusual and I tried calling and realizing they were now closed on weekends. I texted them early this morning with no reply. I knew seeing the vet would be an extra charge, and that was fine. With no reply to my texts we went to our appointment thinking that certainly they would help us out. I had a suspicion that she had “cherry eye” and when the tech came out to get her for her shot she said she knew she had “cherry eye” to which I was totally surprised because no one had ever mentioned anything like that to me before. Since I did my research before our visit I knew surgery was a likelihood, but also knew that a certain eye drop could provide relief until we could have a proper assessment and plan. As we were finishing up our appointments I asked if we could just wait to quickly be seen to get some relief eye drops. *Prior to this I noted the vet was NOT busy and had taken a stroll outside and was walking around the clinic waiting for something to do. The waiting room was empty besides us. There was one dog in an exam room and one cat. We did not need a full exam, just something to get us by for a week or so. The “manager” had no desire to help us, at all. I pleaded that I really needed my sweet dog to just get some relief today, which fell on deaf ears. I asked if I could sit in the waiting room all day waiting for just a brief moment for the vet to prescribe eye drops. But the manager told me that they were extremely booked, “down to the minute” and they didn’t have time for us, which was so hard to believe since I had just seen the vet walking around and techs bringing in coffee. The manager made no attempts to help me, was rude, condescending, and very flippant. I told her I’d be taking our business elsewhere. The receptionist was trying her best to help me and I heard her mention possible times this week we could be seen. But, it was obvious this “manager” did not want our business anymore. To make matters worse, the vet was within my sight during the whole exchange. In that time we could have gotten a prescription and be on our way and we’d come back in 6 more weeks again, have yearly check ups, and have the surgery on my dog’s eye. I was a client for 26 years-In the past 2 years alone I spent $13,000 at the clinic. I was heartbroken they wouldn’t help us and show some compassion after we had been there so long and paid out so much. We were able to get care somewhere new after leaving- today. Ironically, they had several cancellations this afternoon and seeing us would have worked out. They lost many clients today.

Experiencia negativa: 2/28/2024 - I received a phone call from a very nice and professional NVA area rep (vet). I think once the dust settles, the office will be back on track. 2/20/2024 - After Dr. Tom walked out on 11/1/2023, I calmed down and took my dog to the new vet, Dr. Kelsie Sheranian. She was and is absolutely awesome! The last three encounters with the Business Manager and office staff have been unbelievably horrible. The last visit 2/14/2024 was so astonishingly bad, it was nothing but a goal of gouging pet parents like I have never encountered in over 50 years of having dogs, cats, gecko’s, birds. to the vet's office. We have been going to WVC for four years now, mostly seen by Dr. Tom and once by Dr. Baum. The first Saturday in January, we saw Dr. Sheranian. Had to wait for an hour because three vet techs called out. Trinity (my sweet dog) had a senior blood and urinalysis tests, but they didn't have the staff or time to trim her nails. Told me to call back. About a week later, I discovered Trinity's prescription for Vetoryl had expired at Costco, so I called to get them renewed (Dr. Sheranian asked me about them at the last visit). The person answering the phone was completely rude and told me without an in person visit and test, they wouldn't call it in. I left message for the vet, which turned out to be another major headache for us and the vet caused by the office staff. The vet called me back and got it straightened it out. I had forgotten about the nail trim, so I called on 2/7 for just a nail trim, it was scheduled for 2/14. We arrived five minutes early, had to wait for 20 minutes (could hear the vet techs talking about locker decorations). A new vet tech came in, pulled up Trinity’s computer profile, asked me for a history - I told her to read the chart. She ignored me, listening to Trinity's heart, took her temperature and I finally said all this for a nail trim? She didn't hear me, said the vet would be in shortly. I said we don't need a see a vet, Trinity just needs her nails trimmed. So the tech leaves and brings back an estimate which included $28 for the two minutes of her time and $28 for a nail trim. I hit the ceiling and asked for the Business Manager, who was absolutely argumentative and rude. Finally said she would wait the vet tech fee. By that time, I no longer trusted anyone there to trim Trinity's nails - oh my god. I will be contacting NVA, who owns West Valley Vet to file a formal complaint. 10/31/2023 - Update because Google is archaic! Dr. Tom returns during the summer months to Montana. During that time, I had to take my 12 year old dog to two other vets. When I heard Dr. Tom did come back to West Valley Vet, I called and made an appointment as I had some serious concerns. We went, he and the awesome staff calmed our nerves, and he called today with test results and answered my questions. I feel so much better now! Also, I think getting appointment was painless and so was the bill. I have never felt like I was being overcharged or taken advantage of. 5/2/2023 - update (Google limits to one review) Dr. Tom is the best vet I have had in at least 15 years! He is always thorough, diagnoses correctly the first time, orders the correct tests, and bonus, my dog loves him! Our favorite Vet Tech, Tristan, is hands down, the best we have ever had. I have been looking for a new vet for years. After reading the reviews on West Valley Vet for five months, I made an appointment. Every single person at the vet was absolutely stellar with my fur baby. I will be recommending WVV to every single person I know! 5/2/2023 - update (Google limits to one review) Dr. Tom is the best vet I have had in at least 15 years! Experiencia positiva: If I could rate staff separately I would, but I can't so as a group they get 3 stars. The vet herself was awesome and I would give her 5 stars, but the staff were unfriendly and abrupt telling me what the vet would and wouldn't do even before we had been seen by the vet. We thought we were going to have to put our cat down and they were not compassionate at all when I explained what was going on. Thankfully they were able to help our cat and she is doing much better.

Experiencia fantástica: W v vet takes good care of our kids/pets just went in for a vaccine and a yearly physical. It’s nice to know all is well with our ‘best friends’. And the doctor and techs are so good with the kids New year, another check up and all is good.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the best place I have ever been to! When i am in the clinic room I can hear one of the techs saying how cute my dog is and talking him through everything. They make NO pressure to add on extra things I dont feel like they are only about the money. You can tell that they truly care about the animals here. I will 100 percent go back this clinic is amazing and everyone that works there is just as amazing!

Experiencia fantástica: West Valley Veterinary Clinic is an awesome clinic for our dog. He is very old, and the staff there care about our dog like he was thier own. I really appreciate thier tender loving care. We made an appt for 2 weeks, then called me the same day with a cancelation, so we went that day. It was really great! We feared our dog may have urinary tract infection. He couldn't really wait 2 weeks. They are fantastic with all pets!

Experiencia negativa: Would give zero stars but had to give one to leave a review. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE THEY STRESS TO BE KIND TO THEIR STAFF BUT THEIR STAFF WILL BE UNKIND INCONSIDERATE AND PUT YOUR PETS HEALTH AT RISK ALL FOR A DOLLAR. My pet requires medication monthly and daily to keep her alive and West Valley Vet has ruined every opportunity to help me provide a safe long life to my pet. They try to get you in for blood work and once you pay their fee, turn around a couple months later and try to make you pay for more blood work and another visit because they used a relief vet without your consent because they are understaffed and now refuse to issue her medication. They tried to accomodate me and offer one more prescription which i accepted. I let them know i would not return since they are requiring i pay for more bloodwork still. The manager told me to put in the request and she would approve it. Low and behold today they canceled the prescription due to no relationship with client. They are petty and unprofessional. Treat your customers better and take their pets life more seriously.

Experiencia negativa: I've been taking my dog to this clinic since he was born 6 years ago, and it was great at first. Then they started going through vet after vet, so it was a different vet every single time I went. Thankfully my dog loves strangers. Whatever, they were still providing care so its fine. Well, they've switched vets again and are requiring pets with known, well documented conditions at this very same clinic come back in to establish care again, a privilege that you get to pay $300+ for. Even though this is routine procedure at this point. Fine, I don't like it, whatever, my dog needs surgery. They then decided to quote me over $2000 for a simple cyst removal, quadruple what I paid for the same thing for the past 6 years. On a smaller note, my appointments always started at least 30 minutes late here. I like the staff here honestly, my dog too! But unfortunately unless you've got money to throw into the garbage disposal, find a different vet.
