Experiencia fantástica: I've been taking my Aussie Shepherd mix to East Valley his entire 11 years, and they've been awesome every time! This last visit was with Dr. Mai, and she had such an amazing connection with Stan right when she walked in. They explain the suggested options and healthcare, are clear with pricing, and I don't feel like I'm being upsold at any point. They also set up a great procedure during the pandemic so we could still drop off our animals for care. I'm so glad I moved into the neighborhood because I went to East Valley Vet simply out of convenience, and I haven't thought once about finding a new doggy doc :-)

Experiencia fantástica: This was my first visit, the care was personal and detailed. Dr. Mueller helped me understand my older dog’s health status and make a plan to help keep him comfortable. Our technician, Daniel Driggs, took a detailed history and all the concerns were addressed by Dr. Mueller. Great teamwork and great care!

Experiencia negativa: Don’t fall for the anesthesia-free dental cleaning for your cat. Total scam. 600 dollars for two cats for twenty minutes (not per cat, 20 minutes total). A neurosurgeon will charge you less per hour to remove your brain tumor. You’re better off taking your cat to a pet psychic and having his chakras realigned - you’ll get more for your money.

Experiencia negativa: We were encouraged to get our 6 year old dog spayed, I had questions about her age and if it would still be appropriate as we had always been reluctant to get it done. Our dog had no health problems and would just go for a yearly check. After hearing about all the “health problems” that come with an older intact dog we did decide to get her spayed because the vet said we should. Picking our dog up from the vet after surgery we got no prophylactic antibiotics and were sent home with sedation medication and pain meds. Two days later our dog got an infection and had to make emergency visit to get antibiotics, 5 days after surgery infection cause incision to open and had to make another trip to ER vet. Since surgery our day cannot run, jump or go up stairs. It has been 6 weeks since surgery so we divided to take dog in for exam to find where pain is coming from. The vet could not find anything on physical assessment so recommend x-rays. Vet is saying it’s all from preexisting problems, although she had none before surgery. You can get this procedure done at human society for $150 at east valley vet in total we have paid over 2,500! Not including ER vet visits. I highly recommend not getting any services for your pets at east valley vet!!! They have severely hurt our dog and her life will never be the same. They lied to us and will not accept any responsibility. They are negligent and careless!

Experiencia negativa: We had to put our beloved dog down last week. I can't believe how disrespectful the staff was during our time there. As our family sat in the room saying our goodbyes the staff were loudly laughing and screaming over a spider outside the door. The front desk had a plaque lit to notify guests an animal was being put down and to be quiet but it was the staff causing the biggest issue. Huge disappointment

Experiencia negativa: Poor costumer service, if there is something wrong with your pet and they aren’t sure what it is they will still try to sell you medication (like they do in lab rat) without being sure and if your pet doesn’t get better and you waste your time and money they won’t solve or care about anything

Such great care is taken with a lab living to 18 and one of our cats living to 22. We only trust East Valley team to take care of our pets and trust them implicitly. Highly recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone was great. My cat had an infection and they said bring him in early and they would fit him in their busy schedule. The vet saw him, called me and prescribed his medication which I picked up there. I highly recommend them!

When Dr. Butler walked in, she took the time to sit down on the floor with my cat and give her lots of love to make her feel comfortable and safe. They both took the time to answer any questions that I had and were so patient and gentle with my cat. It was such a great experience and I will definitely continue bringing my cat here in the future :)

Experiencia fantástica: This clinic was recommended to me by an acquaintance early this summer. I had an emergency situation with my dog and my regular vet couldn't accommodate my needs for my dog to be seen. I called East Valley and they fit us into their schedule timely. The care and compassion each staff member demonstrated was wonderful! My dog needed surgery and they did a great job, not only on the procedure but on following up on her condition. A few times I got concerned and I texted them for reassurance and their response time to my text was quick. I have since switched to East valley for the routine care of my Dog. I went in yesterday for her yearly check up and vaccines. They remembered her and she was so excited to see everyone. This a 5 start establishment!

Experiencia fantástica: In some ways, this is long overdue. We lost our beloved Percy in March Dr. Butler and Dr Mai were so compassionate and thorough during this painful leave taking. Two weeks ago we adopted Jackson -- immediately we were able to see Dr. Butler. She counseled us thoughtfully as we welcome a new member of the family. East Valley has taken care of ALL of our dogs (4 of them -- and all lived for many wonderful years..) We are fortunate to have found such good care for our best friends ...

Last year we sadly had to put my sweet senior dog down and she gave us very meaningful and wise advice on when to say goodbye and was so respectful and compassionate the day of. On top of that she has taken care of our three cats very thoroughly and kindly. Thank you Dr. Mai! Outside of care, every person working at East Valley Vet has been very helpful and supportive with our interactions. The only reason we are leaving this vet is because we have moved, but if we could stay with them forever, we would. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been taking my baby boy Orville here since I first got him from the shelter when I was 19. On a list of vets from the Humane Society, this vet was the closest to me, so I booked an appointment and went. Every time I go I’m reminded of how lucky I am this was the vet’s office I picked from that list. As a first time cat owner, I’m easily anxious when it comes to my sweet boy, and the staff at EVVC has always been empathetic, receptive, and supportive of my concerns. It’s never easy to see your baby fall ill, but really helps put me at ease knowing I can pick up the phone and call (or text!!) with any question I have and I’ll be met with compassion. Dr. Mai, Shelley, Daniel, Gabe, Sky, Cheyenne, Carla and everyone else has been so kind, so informative, and so genuine that it’s moved me to tears. I’m going on my fourth day in a row needing to stop by, and I’m so glad to know it’s EVVC I’m going to.

She always remembers details from the previous appointment and make sure that your pet is comfortable and have a positive vet experience. The whole staff is so welcoming and helpful anytime I am there. They have great bedside manner and have a ton of knowledge and are always willing to discuss everything at detail that is happening at the appointment. We will continue coming back.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed in the response from East Canyon Vet. We are an established client at ECV. I called because my dogs were having diarrhea. I was very concerned about the possibility of Giardia. They told me the soonest the could see us would be July 8 - in 4 weeks !!! Unacceptable.

My 2 dogs are always so excited to go to the vet…. go figure! I know they are well taken care of by knowledgeable and compassionate animal lovers.

He ended up needing a biopsy and was put under anesthesia and we were really anxious about the process. Experiencia fantástica: We have been taking our 2 whippets here since we moved to Utah a few years ago. We have basically seen all the doctors and staff now, and we have had really great experiences with everyone! Dr. Mai and Dr. Michelle are the doctors we see most frequently, and they are both really great. They both put my dogs and myself at ease whenever we go there and are very thorough and clearly experienced. Dr. Mai always takes her time in the appointments and makes it feel like she has all the time in the world to address my questions and concerns. Gabe at the front desk is awesome, and communicated thoroughly (and patiently) with me when my dog was in surgery there. Overall this is a great vet with wonderful, trustworthy people!

Experiencia negativa: My previous review was glowing because of the service I received under Dr. Lynette before the acquisition of this practice under a corporate buyer in 2020 and I just realized it's been up for the last 5 years. Therefore, I would guess there's a lot of reviews here that are not due to this practice, they simply inhereted positive reviews from the previous practice. I didn't know the buy-out happened, they didn't tell me Dr. Lynette had even left/been pushed out of the practice, I was just scheduled with a different Dr. (who bad-mouthed Dr. L *during the visit* and we had been with her for about seven years at the time and had only good experiences). It was suddenly much more expensive for a routine wellness check. They failed after multiple phone calls to effectively write the rxns that I needed for my elderly dog's pain management and one time I confirmed an appointment only to show up for my appointment to find out it didn't exist on the schedule (the receptionist was an absolute organizational disaster). Then I found out the friend I had referred there almost lost her dog because of a serious mistake they made. They either miswrote a script for the dog who had Addison's or they changed the dosage without informing the owner so she didn't know to look out for possible changes and the by the time the serious electrolyte I'm balance was noticed, it was so far in the wrong direction, they didn't know if the dog would make it. I found Dr. Lynette's new practice and when I called and asked the records to be transferred, they instead destroyed them. 7-8 years of medical records were destroyed instead of transferred. And there's no way it was a mistake bc as far as they knew, we were still patients there. So, no, I would not recommend East Valley Veterinary.

Experiencia fantástica: Called them Saturday morning and left a message that I needed help with hurt dog and they called me back and had me bring my dog right in!! They called me in an hour and said to come pick her up. She just needed pain meds and rest. Was very happy not hurt badly. Thanks again for the great service (on a Saturday!!)

All visits at this facility have had excellent communication. The staff have been caring, professional, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Couldn’t recommend East Valley enough. They took care of Archie since a puppy. Through shots, ear infections, neutering and dental cleaning. Staff is always kind, communicative and they text you updates during procedures. They have a new app which is SO good updating about what care is due for your pets. Prices seemed fair, always had appointments and were flexible. Sad to move away and have to find a new place! Your pet will be in good hands here.

Experiencia fantástica: I truly couldn’t thank the East Valley Vet team enough for all the help and support they’ve given us and our Milo pup. He was recently diagnosed with an auto immune disorder and the team has been so kind, caring, and understanding from the very beginning. They really do seem to care about your animal like their own which has made me feel so at ease during such a scary time. They’ve made sure to get him in as quick as they can, called after hours with results, and been so understanding with me reaching out over and over with questions or concerns. We could even hear the team cheering in the back when our pups levels finally came back within normal range. We still have a long road ahead but I feel a lot better knowing our Milo is in the care of such an amazing vet team!

They got him the care he needed in no time and were great at communicating with me. They continue to communicate and answer any questions I have regarding his post-op care. Experiencia fantástica: I feel so much relief I can’t even put it into words. My poor cat has had a scab on her nose for over a year. It never heals. I took her to Murray Animal Hospital all the way back in March inquiring about a biopsy because I felt like it was cancer. Murray Animal Hospital said, “I don’t want to biopsy it. It will heal on its own.” It only got worse. After 2 more appointments, 2 rounds of steroids, zero tests being performed, a TON of money spent, & no improvement whatsoever, we still had zero answers. I decided to get a second opinion after the vets at Murray Animal Hospital never got back to me when I contacted them concerned about how the Prednisone was affecting Ruben. East Valley has been the complete opposite experience. The first thing out of the vets mouth was that it was probably cancer and that it needed to be biopsied right away. She shared my sense of urgency instead of making me feel like I was overreacting. She was so kind & did such a thorough examination of our girl. Just the fact that she spoke to Ruben while looking her over & verbally comforted her was way more than I could say about the Vets at Murray Animal Hospital. She didn’t make me feel rushed or like she had other patients to get to. She didn’t make me feel like my questions were silly or crazy. She was empathetic about the costs and let me know where we could save money if we needed to. She spoke slowly and made sure I understood everything she said as she said it. She was kind!! She was knowledgeable. She was patient. She was absolutely wonderful & I’ll never go to another Vet for as long as I live. I am beyond grateful.

Experiencia fantástica: It’s never easy to be told that your loved companion has just weeks to live. What does make it easier is knowing that the vet delivering the news cares about your animal and remembers them by name. When the staff member helping to check you out notices, you’re having a particularly terrible day and ask if he can give you a hug, that hug goes a long way. This vet has been wonderful for me and my three mastiffs and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants great healthcare for their pet.

Our dog, Scout, has had a sedated exam for dental work/extractions and surgery here to remove a lipoma. The staff is professional and courteous. Dr. Butler has been an expert in guiding us through a newly found lung mass when our dog had pneumonia. Of note, the texting service they offer during procedures or urgent visits has been practical and helpful. We love the docs and wouldn't dream of going elsewhere!!

Truly I cannot thank you all enough for taking such incredible care of my babies and I!! The best veterinary clinic, staff, doctors, environment, expertise, love, care, and genuine inclusion of all fur baby and human parents clients as FAMILY!! Love you all! We have been highly impressed with East Valley Vet Clinic's responsiveness, willingness to get us worked in with Dr. Butler, and catered patient-centered care for our fur babies. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and East Valley allowed my partner and I, and all 4 of our babies, to go into a room all at the same time. They were extremely personable and sweet with the animals. None even cried at having blood drawn, or given their vaccinations. Dr. Butler has been INCREDIBLE. I could go on and on about her excellent care and service she has provided, as our babies vet. She is extremely responsive and helpful, and is fantastic at texting back and giving updates on bloodwork, etc. in a better-than-timely manner. She has given us so, so much peace of mind, in many different facets of our care for our babies. Honestly we can't rave enough about this place. Experiencia negativa: I was told by them I would have to pay for an echo cardiogram, as well as a CT scan to diagnose my old lady puppy. When I explained, it was too expensive for me to realistically do, just getting out of a divorce. They told me I would wake up soon to her being dead. I told my friend who's a vet, about what they said as well as her symptoms she found it a little fishy did an X-ray and found that her heart had too much fluid on it. And was causing syncope. We put her on medication within a few days she started moving and playing like a puppy again no pain no convulsions. A year later. She is still playing around like a puppy with her kitten siblings. Had I not. Talk to my friend my old lady puppy would be dead. Treating people like the most expensive option for diagnosis is the only way for their animal to live is abominable.

I’ve been to multiple vets in multiple states with my dog and East Valley is the best we’ve been to by far. They are so great about following up and always answer any questions I have and respond very quickly and are reassuring and kind. They have 4.9 stars for a reason!

Experiencia fantástica: Such a great experience here, they got my dog in right away and were able to tell me what was going on with him losing patches of fur. My regular vet and other offices did not have openings for 2+ weeks and this was so stressful for me, but not urgent enough to warrant an emergency clinic. The staff was so friendly and helpful and my dog was more comfortable there than anywhere else I’ve ever taken him. Would love to make this my new regular vet.

The technicians were friendly, informative, and even comforting to a crying kitty mama. The staff did as promised and figured out what was wrong with my baby. The Veterinarian called twice during the day with updates. She was also friendly and understanding. And, most importantly she knew what to do to help my baby. Thanks to all the staff!

Experiencia fantástica: First off my appointment that I had set on line was not on the office books. They got me in anyway, and with no time to lose. We met Dr. Sophie, Wow was she informative, friendly and Chase our pup, loved her. She gave us detailed information about the foods we have been giving Chase. She was great, in fact the whole staff was excellent. When they took Chase to the back to meet with the Dr. I could hear Megan (very close friend) greeting Chase. That made him feel much more comfortable. In my humble opinion, I could have never had this type of treatment with another vet office. I hereby rate you best of all.

Experiencia fantástica: This was the best Vet experience I have ever had. The medical and office staff were amazing and I will never go to another vet. I can't say enough about how they truly touched my heart today. After calling multiple vets, they were the only ones that made sure my dog was able to be seen. They actually cared about what was going on with my life and went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. They were even able to give me a price estimate (which no other vet was willing to do) and came in way below. In fact I have never had a vet bill be so low with the services that were done today. I will be forever grateful for the assistance they provided. I've never had a vet that checked in and made you fully aware of what was going on procedure wise. We received two phone calls to make sure we knew what needed to happen and get our approval. I receive 3 very warm and friendly status update texts, with a point of contact and encouraging me to reach out if I had any questions. They even called and texted me to see when my dog was able to come in since there was delay in us getting there. That just never happens in the medical community and it just shows how much they care. My dog is not the best patient. Everywhere I have taken him (vets/grooming) say what a handful he is. Everyone on staff knew his name, said how great he was and they were loving on him all day, that honestly made me cry. This included staff that were not working on his case, but just wanted to show him love. Because of how his behavior has been communicated to me in the past I have always had a hard time taking him anywhere, and I've been ashamed of this. To know that this staff loves dogs no matter what and does not shame the dog or the owner, and makes the dog as comfortable and feeling safe in a stressful time is just outstanding. Again, thank you so much to the staff and please if you haven't tried this facility you will be so happy you did.

Experiencia fantástica: We have had to use East Valley Vet clinic twice now for urgent care. I highly recommend them for urgent care, they are thorough, kind, and very competent. They worked hard to get us same day appointments ASAP. We have a long standing relationship with our primary vet otherwise we would switch our pets care to this clinic. I without any hesitation recommend this clinic to anyone with fur babies.

Experiencia negativa: I was not been impressed with this vet. We saw Dr. Kelly and she was great, but she has left. Their "urgent care" is a joke, I was on their waitlist every day for 4 days and they wouldn't see my sick dog. When I finally got a separate appointment on day 5, Dr. Butler barely examined her and told us to go on antibiotics and cough tablets and see what happens. We took her to another vet the next day and she was diagnosed with pneumonia. We wasted 5 days during which time my dog could have been receiving proper treatment because of EV's incompetence. We're done here. UPDATE: When I asked Dr. Butler whether it was beneficial to do the x-rays, she said it wasn't necessary just that some clients want to do every possible thing test, she did not recommend that they be taken at that point.

They take great care for my dog Blue and are thorough throughout our time in office as well as asking one off questions/needs when they come up. Our time with Dr. Mai Le Mueller has been a great experience where she took the time for Blue to be comfortable throughout his visit. She gave great suggestions for treatments, and general care. It's reassuring to know we have a great vet to maintain a healthy life for our pup!

We’ve used her for the past 15 years because she is trustworthy, honest and kind. She is the best and the staff at East Valley is stellar!

They have fit us in same day or within a few days on multiple occasions when my pet had an urgent concern (GI bug, UTI, ear infection, etc.). They also saw us very quickly when we had a concern for a tumor in our dog. They are so caring and accommodating and I am grateful we found them!

Experiencia positiva: We are fairly new to EVVC so I don't want to be too critical. Our experience has been mostly positive thus far. We took our dog to EVVC for an ultra sound and we asked to be "on call" when it would be our turn as our dog gets very anxious when at the vet. He does not handle kennels well so we didn't want to drop him off for an all day visit. The clinic said fine so when the day came and we received the call, we hustled to the clinic for the appointment. When we arrived they took our dog immediately to the back and then returned and told us we could leave. We were confused as the tech on the phone understood our agreement. When we were told the specialist hadn't even arrived, we asked that our dog be brought back to us and we'd wait with him. I'm certain that our dog had been placed in a kennel in the back when it wasn't necessary. The specialist did arrive quickly and the appointment was completed timely. My thoughts are that communication broke down somewhere and we were not handled according to our previous discussions and agreement. Otherwise, the front desk personnel were friendly and tried to accommodate us. Updated Review (April 2024) We have been taking our dog to EVVC now for 2-3 years and have found them to be kind and easy to work with. Other than a few communication snafus, all has gone well with this clinic. We particularly love our dogs Vet, Dr. Michelle Batholomew. She is wonderful and treats our dog (and us) with such kindness and care. She is the reason we started taking our dog to this clinic as she moved there from our previous clinic and we did not want another vet seeing our precious Jack.

Experiencia fantástica: My vet for the past 5 years! They have done so much for my pets, including treating allergies, dental work, etc. Dr. Kelly is amazing! I also had Justin provide non-anesthesia dental cleaning for my cats. He is so great with cats, and gave me really helpful information on caring for my cats teeth. (hint: check out pet oral cleansing wipes!)

Experiencia negativa: Would not recommend to anyone I know. I recently got a new puppy and was looking for a vet in my area not only for her upcoming vaccinations, but for the entirety of her 10-15+ year life. I called and made an appointment which required an $85 deposit (which I was told was refundable when booking). Yesterday was the day of my appointment, as luck would have it while we were ON OUR WAY to the vet, someone rear-ended our car! Even with everything going on in the moment, we we're still able to call the vet and provide 15-20 minute notice of what happened and request to reschedule. The individual who answered seemed that he literally couldn't care less! No "Oh no I'm so sorry is everyone ok?!" Rather the only thing he said is we're gonna take another $85 deposit. No empathy, no explanation of the cancelation policy, no refund! Fund somewhere else for you and your pets.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Le Mueller is fantastic! She made sure my dog was comfortable and having as much fun as possible during her checkup. My dog was the most relaxed she’s ever been in a vet clinic and I fully attribute that to their knowledgeable and compassionate staff. Dogs always know!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been bringing my two 8 year old rescues here for a few years now, and I recently got a puppy (Kermit). I’ve never owned a non-fixed pet and EVV really took a lot of the anxiety out of the procedure for us. I know it’s important and I was happy to get it done but it’s worth noting that spaying/neutering is a little scary for all of us. They really went above and beyond to make sure she was safe before and after the surgery. Kermit is a Boston terrier/Frenchie and they took extra care to check her heart and breathing before and after Anesthesia. She’s recovering well and no one made me feel like a wuss for getting weepy during the whole process, just loved and understood. I can’t imagine taking my dogs anywhere else. The staff is helpful and kind with our pets, especially Daniel. Thank you so much for every thing!

My dog was very nervous with lots of dogs in the waiting room, but the staff was attentive and of course had treats for her. We saw Dr. Michelle. I loved her as did my dog Jessie! She was thorough and helpful and even sat down next to us and chatted. We will definitely be back…hopefully not too soon though. Lol

Experiencia fantástica: My dog is a new patient to this clinic and I'm very pleased with our experience here already. I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Sophie Charlton within just a few weeks of contacting them. The techs & vet were both very nice and I did not have to wait long for our appointment. My pup was less than cooperative for her procedure, but the team handled it well, and at the end of it all, my dog still likes the team. She showed affection for her poor behavior, so I know. I was provided some sedatives for my dog to take and we were able to come back the very next morning for her blood draw. She requires some follow up diagnostic tests which were scheduled right away and the appointment is soon. The communication, care, and professionalism received is top notch and much appreciated!

Experiencia fantástica: My first time with EVV was when my 20-year-old cat had declined rapidly in health in 2021. Dr. Sophie was so incredibly kind and helpful in us reaching our conclusion that we had to say goodbye. It was something we had dreaded for a long time, but our experience at EVV was more than we could’ve hoped for under such sad circumstances. Since then, Dr. Sophie and the EVV team has seen our other two cats. One of which they’ve seen since he was a kitten. They’ve been so wonderful to work with and I trust the care they provide. I’m saddened that we’ll be moving to a different state and hope we can find similar care for our fur babies.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been bringing cali here for almost 5 years now since we adopted her! From routine checkups to TPLO surgeries and everything in-between, Dr. Butler and staff have been nothing short of incredible. They have been able to assist us same day for emergency stitches (two days before we had to leave town for our wedding). Without them, we would have been stuck in an ER and our whole wedding weekend would have been delayed. Cali is not the easiest dog to care for but we trust East Valley hands down!

Other than that, all of my communications with East Valley have been outstanding - they definitely deserve their high ratings. Dr. Sophie Charlton was super knowledgeable, friendly, and so great with our pup June. She was very reassuring, patient, and helpful in getting us the necessary care for June. She followed up with helpful information and a more accurate estimate for a procedure we need and was not pushy about us getting it done at their location (even though we plan to :)). Overall, great experiences with them and all of their employees seem qualified and efficient.

Experiencia fantástica: I switched to East Valley Vet a few months ago and I could not be happier with this decision! They have been AMAZING to work with. My boston terrier Domino had a tooth extraction and they updated me via text the whole day which was so comforting. The vet, vet techs and front office people are all wonderful and care so much. During our first appointment meeting his new vet, she sat on the floor with him and spent 30 minutes with us getting to know him. He LOVED her which is a first with a vet, haha. They are very reasonably priced too! I have been so impressed and am so glad that we switched to them. THANK YOU ALL for taking such good care of my Domino!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Mai is incredible. Our dog was a patient with this clinic for several years and while all the staff is wonderful, she really went above and beyond. She was the doctor to diagnose our dog's cancer, and was so kind and gentle in delivering the news. She worked with our specialist at Granite directly, helping to relieve a lot of weight from my shoulders. She even called just to see how we were doing emotionally as the owners when we found out the cancer would be terminal. Our pup passed peacefully this weekend, and when the time comes for another pet we will definitely be returning to East Valley.
