Experiencia fantástica: We bring our two dogs & cat (Sage, Remi & Gibbon) here for our vet needs. Very satisfied we made the switch from the Humane Fort Wayne Clinic. The staff is so sweet! They listen & explain everything very well! You never feel pushed to do anything! The price things out so it’s not a surprise. Dr James answered all our questions, was very thorough, and so very kind to our fur babies! 10/10 recommendation!

From booking the appointment to the actual surgery day, everything was smooth and stress-free. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely caring. The pricing was very reasonable as well. We’re very new to the Fort Wayne area, so I researched several clinics before choosing one, and I’m so glad I trusted the reviews because they do not lie. My Remi is doing amazing after her surgery, and I could tell they took great care of her sweet, nervous little self. What really stood out to me was receiving a call two days after her surgery just to check in and see how she was doing - wow. That level of care means so much. You can truly feel how much they love and care for their patients at Dupont Vet Clinic. I highly recommend bringing your pets here <3

Experiencia fantástica: Took my mouse here, and unfortunately had to lay her to rest, and the techs and Vet were all so so kind and empathetic during our visit. Didn’t know where to take my mice for exams or euthanasia, I’m glad I found them, I will return for care. It was wonderful to know that even for an animal so small, their care and attention was so great.

I feel great having this caring, professional, thoughtful and informative provider for our little guy. We moved here from Broomfield, CO and it's a blessing to trust I've found a "home" where we are consistently welcome with no bad vibes and can trust that he is in good hands. Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately my boyfriend’s cat passed due to issues with anesthesia because of this place. They administered too much or something wrong, we know it was their fault because they wiped the bill and kept repeatedly making excuses and apologizing. This was about 2yrs ago and I just recently got with him. Either way we have 4 cats together and will be taking our business to my vets place. Don’t be so careless and rush procedures next time.

Dr. Jonah Harry is phenomenal. I literally can rate him a 10/10 in everything from professionalism, to personality, to competency, he’s just amazing. He has helped us with several complex issues.

Experiencia fantástica: I just took my new cat, Pearl, to Dupont Veterinary for the first time and I can’t say enough good things! The front desk staff was so welcoming—Kennedy even introduced herself, showed me where everything was, and offered snacks and drinks. They were running a little behind due to an emergency surgery, but they kept me updated and checked in to see if Pearl or I needed anything. Totally worth the short wait! Taylor, the vet tech, was super friendly and explained all prices before doing anything—no pressure at all. Dr. James was wonderful too—knowledgeable, patient, and gave great food recommendations for Pearl. Everyone here was kind, caring, and professional. I’ll definitely be bringing all my pets here from now on! Thank you for taking good care of Pearl!

Experiencia negativa: Do not trust your pets with this clinic. We had a horrible experience with Dr. James. She showed a complete lack of empathy. She didn't even look at our dog's chart before trying to prescribe medication the dog was either already on or had tried before with no success. The dog was in total misery, couldn't eat or drink, was constantly scratching herself bloody, and very very old. We spent thousands of dollars on vet visits and multiple medications. When she started throwing up blood we had to make the painful decision to put her down. We filled out the paperwork. We paid the $300. We picked out the urn. Waited for the vet to come in and do the procedure. She comes in, all upbeat and tells us that "this dog still has a lot of life left in her and I will not be euthanizing her". She didn't even look at the dog!! That was an emotional and delicate situation and she showed no empathy and tried to make us feel ashamed of our decision. We took our precious, dying dog to a different clinic the next morning and said goodbye with the dignity that we were doing the right thing. Dr. Jessica James, SHAME ON YOU

Experiencia fantástica: Took my little beautiful albino dog there because he had bloody diarrhea for days. They were so helpful. They ran a parvo test on him, gave him fluids and checked him out. Left with a bunch of meds and tons of premium soft dog food. they were very clear on the instructions which is assuring, only paid a little over 200$, very small price to pay in my opinion especially since he started feeling better after a day. If you love you dog and want the very best for him this is the place

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Rietdorf is one of a kind. Dr. Rietdorf has been a true blessing to me and my senior dog, Cady. As Cady grows older, our visits can be tough but Dr. Rietdorf meets us with compassion, patience, and the kind of care that goes far beyond the medical. She takes time to listen, treats Cady with such tenderness, and always makes sure I feel informed and supported. You can tell she genuinely cares, not just about her patients, but about their people too. It’s rare to find someone so skilled and so kind. I’m beyond grateful to have her by our side during this stage of Cady’s life. Sarah is as amazing treating Cady like her own. We are so lucky to have Dr Rietdorf and Sarah. I wish all health care was this good. We are so lucky to have them both.

Their Vet Techs are the sweetest people, and the veterinarians we’ve worked with (Dr. King, Dr. Evanston) have been so supportive, knowledgeable, and truly made us feel like our little buddy was cared for. This clinic blows it out of the water, and they are by far the best in Fort Wayne!

Experiencia negativa: Expensive with polite platitudes and a flea tick pill and antibiotics with no diagnosis that $160 alone. I’m not giving my dog antibiotics for something that went undiagnosed (maybe flea or ticks) even I know this is wrong it’s freezing weather I don’t think there’s any ticks or fleas. Came home used tea tree oil on it Benadryl much cheaper. I guess I come from an old-fashioned veterinarian that used to common sense. I tend not to be one to anthropomorphize so prefer minimally intrusive care…sensible veterinary skills that’s all!!!! I am now waiting for them to call with results of the scraping of the area a week later. Nothing conclusive Sorry not impressed.

Experiencia fantástica: I have a very anxious 6 yr old German Pinscher that went to DVC for the first time yesterday and was calmer in that situation than she has been since she was a puppy. They took time to earn her trust and to make suggests to improve her behavior. From the time I made the appointment, to getting care for my dog, the clinic has been outstanding. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I am grateful and relieved to have discovered the practice here in Fort Wayne.

Experiencia negativa: They offer declawing services, which is all I need to know about this clinic. To offer declawing services with the knowledge that declawing a cat is equivalent to a human losing the first joint on all their fingers is just cruel. Those cats suffer a lifetime of pain.

Experiencia negativa: Appointment for my cat Bear was Monday. I called Tuesday asking for advice- no reply. At the appointment they said they would call Wednesday to check on Bear- no call. Today I received a happy birthday message to Bear. No I wouldn't recommend.

One of our cats recently underwent a dental procedure on 4/11 and the staff was so kind and friendly. Dr. Evenson did an outstanding job and communicated with us well on post-surgery instructions. Experiencia fantástica: I recently adopted a kitten and he got an upper respiratory infection so I took him here and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this vet. Our kitten has had to come three times now due to being sick and every time has been an amazing experience. The staff is so empathetic and nice from the front desk employees to the veterinarians. The vet stayed back and spoke with me about our old cat that had passed away and genuinely cared about what I was saying when he could have easily moved on to the next client. They never make me feel stupid for asking questions and always assure me that I am being a good cat mom. They also do whatever they can do squeeze you in for an appointment. They are very responsive through text and email when I had small questions or concerns. I highly recommend this vet and cannot thank them enough for the care they have provided :)

Experiencia fantástica: Had our first appointment today as a new patient and was very impressed with the staff! My dog and I were in and out within 30 minutes, even as new patients. Dr. King never made me feel rushed and was super kind. In all my years of having dogs, I’ve never seen a doc get on the animal’s level to do an exam. It was awesome!

Experiencia negativa: They misdiagnosed my girl with worms after $500 in blood work. She passed away and we took her in to be cremated. They called Animal Control because of her weight after being investigated come to find out the Vet misdiagnosed my girl and she died of cancer. They never ever checked her records. Saw her weight and called. Thank god animal control actually listened to me. Who pays $500 in blood work plus $300 for cremation after you killed my dog if I was going to starve it. The OFFICE MANAGER is looking for her next “that a boy!” she doesn’t care about the animals. Find another place before you get the same vet I did. No I don’t know who it was because we never ever saw the same vet twice. By far the worst vet in town. They were pretty good till this Office Manger showed ip.

Experiencia fantástica: I had such an amazing experience when I took my 2 cats here! I had an amazing vet tech Katie, who helped me get to the room and assisted during my visit. Doctor James was the vet that saw my cats. She was so kind and sweet to both me and my cats. She was thorough with her exam and answered every question that I had. Amazing staff and I felt very comfortable the whole time I was there!

Experiencia fantástica: It's not easy to find exotic vet care so getting my bunnies in for regular checkups is helpful and well work the wait. The facility is very clean and spacious, allowing us to avoid the dogs who were being seen. The techs are good natured despite being covered in white bunny hair and everyone is knowledgeable on how to make the buns feel comfortable while being seen. We are very lucky to be able to come here!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been bringing our pets to DuPont Vet for about 14 years. They’ve been with us through our cats lives and during the times where we were given those hard decisions to make. I have always seen Dr. Reitdorf and find she is so compassionate toward the pets and supportive toward the owners as well. I do appreciate that Dr R seems to understand that even though our pets are like a member of our family, there comes a point where we must allow nature to take its course. When Dr. R has not been available, we usually receive the same type of quality care which is comforting to know. The staff are obviously often stretched during busy times, but always seems to maintain their professionalism with a smile.

Experiencia fantástica: Our sweet Ellie started urinating in the house a few weeks ago. I was given supplies to collect a specimen and when I was able to catch some, I could see there was blood. Yesterday, i took in the urine sample and Ellie, without having an appt and was able to be seen right away. Our veterinarian, Dr Reitdorf, had an X-ray done and she was full of stones in her bladder. Dr Reitdorf came in today, on her day off and did surgery on Ellie. The front office staff were all wonderful along with her assistant, Mikaela. I can’t thank Dr Reitdorf and her staff enough for such amazing care and compassion for not only Ellie, but our dogs as well!!!! Highly recommend Dupont Veterinary Clinic!

Experiencia positiva: The girl who took us back was so compassionate and kind. We had our cat of 14 years euthanized yesterday and Dr. James was horrible. Her flippant attitude will always be remembered. It was obvious she could not have cared less. Her whole attitude and demeanor was atrocious. Our sweet girl was supposed to be sedated before the final medication was given, but she was not. The office manager did get in touch with me about our experience, and she couldn't have been nicer. Her genuine sincerity was so appreciated. She genuinely cared.

Experiencia fantástica: I have a leopard gecko that is 12 years old. Back in 2013, she developed some eye issues. DuPont is the only vet that would treat reptiles. They were amazing and she recovered. Recently she had trouble completely shedding. I brought her to DuPont today. They had her record from before. The vet was wonderful. She was treated. I have what I need to get her well again. I would definitely recommend DuPont for exotic pets!

Experiencia positiva: The 3 stars I have given Dupont is exclusively due to the staff & veterinarians that they have as well as the help we have received there. They are always friendly & professional. My biggest issue with Dupont is the new deposit policy when scheduling for both of your dogs at the same time. They require you to give your card number over the phone & pay a deposit upfront for scheduling an appointment. While this does go towards the exam when you go, I personally cannot stand this policy. We have been going there since we moved to Ft. Wayne & have never missed an appointment. To me, it feels disrespectful to ask for a deposit upfront & over the phone when you have been going there for a long time & are in “good standing” (showing up to appointments, no payment issues, etc.). I hope they rethink this policy & begin to have some more trust in their patients who give them plenty of business every year.

Experiencia fantástica: Back from another visit to the vet with our cherished dog, Max. The veterinarian and the whole team continue to impress us with their excellence! We've been faithfully visiting this clinic for the past 7 years, and there's a compelling reason we've stayed. Max, with his ever-present smile, is a living testament to their care. Their professionalism is unparalleled, their empathy is touching, and they consistently place the health and happiness of our four-legged fur-baby at the top of their priority list. We can't thank them enough for everything they do!

Experiencia negativa: I've taken 6 animals here over the course of 10 years. It's always been pricey, but I felt like it was worth it. My most recent encounter in January 2024 I was told my 3 year old Pitbull had moderate hip dysplasia and would need surgery which is incredibly expensive. I was given names of vets at NIVES or out of town. I knew that another vet in Fort Wayne did do ortho surgeries so I called that office for an ortho consult. As it turns out, my dog's hips are FINE. She does not have hip dysplasia. She had one torn ACL (that you could see in the radiographs Dupont took) and she tore the other ACL in the 3 weeks between going to Dupont and the other local vet. This meant two TPLO surgeries, NOT HIPS!! I spent over $400 for radiographs, a misdiagnosis, and some pain meds/supplements. The supplements contained glucosamine and no chondroitin which is unusual. When I called Dupont to ask about this, I was told chondroitin wasn't necessary. I am so incredibly disappointed in this office. The other local vet said he continuously treats misdiagnosed animals from Dupont. Shame on Dupont for charging so much, misdiagnosing these pets, and then failing to refer us to an AMAZING vet on the Southwest side of FW. We will not be returning to Dupont due to this error. **I am editing to add yet another incorrect diagnosis as of March 2024** I have a now 13 year old cat who just went to a different vet with a clean bill of health. Clean bloodwork, negative FeLV and negative FIV tests after being told she had FIV at Dupont 3 years ago. When Dupont diagnosed her in 2021, I was skeptical given the fact she'd been the only cat in the house and she had previous negative tests. Today, she tested negative. Now, could she have gotten a false positive in 2021 at Dupont? Maybe. But they should have run it again. Observe the patient, look at her age, health history, etc. This further solidifies my decision to never return to Dupont. They should be ashamed of their prices for the quality of care they are giving (or not giving). Wow.

Experiencia fantástica: This staff was amazing during a very difficult time for my daughter when her pet rabbit died recently. The love and compassion demonstrated was amazing. Thank you for helping her through a sorrowful time.

Experiencia negativa: Took dog there since 2010. Had been diagnosed by Jill Rietdorf for years with colitis/bacterial/Clostridium since 2018. Took him back 11 times with same results. She never suggested doing testing to find cause. Endoscopy is her field. In November, 2023, we took dog back for same problem and We asked other doctor what to do when we were unable to get appt. with Jill and she suggested ultrasound. Had it done. Said no issues. 1 1/2 month later, took him back, new ultrasound done by another doctor, compared to previous one and found issues on first one the doctor that performed it MISSED. Now diagnosed with pancreatitis. No apology, no refund for the cost of the first one of over $400. Precious time missed at the expense of my pet over the years if only Jill would have suggested testing years earlier. Had to have my dog put down last week due to their negligence of just try this medicine, try that. Never again will I trust a doctor from that clinic with ANY pet.

Experiencia fantástica: My 18 year old cat recently passed away. She had been treated by Dr Rietdorf for most of her life. In her later years she became what we called "spicy" but she was still treated with love and compassion by the clinic. After she passed away here at home, I notified the clinic. I received a beautiful sympathy card that was signed by the staff with a personal note from Dr Rietdorf, it meant so very much to me that the time was taken to show me so much compassion. This is such an amazing sign of a caring group of people

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Jill Rietdorf is AHHHHMAZING! My Lab has always been almost fully sedated when visiting other vet clinics, but not here! He was tolerant of her and allowed exam. I also have a feline that I had taken to two other vets that could not diagnose her IBD issue, brought her to Dr Rietdorf and she hit the nail on the head the first visit. Dr Rietdorf is amazing with the compassion and knowledge she has with animals, I truly can not say enough good things about her, there are so many great qualities. If you want a great Vet and one who is extremely intelligent Dr Rietdorf is the real deal, you won't be disappointed! Thank you so much Dr Rietdorf, we appreciate you!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Valerie Tratnyek takes care of our sweet girl, Lucy. She remembers her whenever we come in and is thorough with her exams. She lets Lucy sniff the tools she has to use so she isn't scared (Lucy is a nervous dog) and cuddles her so Lucy feels safe! Experiencia fantástica: Great vet to visit for rabbits. The staff truly cares about their patients and are so gentle with bunnies who panic. The doc who sees exotic pets, Dr Boxberger, is very knowledgeable and takes such good care of my bunnies.

Experiencia positiva: The staff is always super friendly and they try their best to be on time with appointments. There are two reasons I am not giving this a five star review. One is because they are a little more pricey than most vets on blood work, exams, and vaccines. Second is they referred me to KNIVES for my elderly Newfie who was past her prime, but they insisted I go to KNIVES for a consult. KNIVES said my Newfie had out lived her life span there was nothing they could do and suggested it was time for her to go over the rainbow bridge. I still have trouble with Dupont Vet agreeing to this instead they wanted to put her on pain medication. Besides those two things though the vets and their staff truly do care and provide excellent service.

Not necessarily the friendliest place in town to take our animals, but we trust them, and they were on time, did what we requested, answered our questions, and didn't hurt our pets. They are good enough not to go through the hassle of finding someone else, but not a business we will go out of our way to recommend, either.

Experiencia fantástica: As someone who just moved back to the area a few years ago and tried several other vet clinics before stumbling upon this one, I highly recommend them. If you have a pet, they should be patients at Dupont Vet Clinic. We mostly see Dr. Krystle, but have seen other doctors when needed. All of them are just as kind, caring, and passionate about taking care of your pets. I never worry about rush or subpar treatment for my pets. The doctors are great a listening to any concerns and addressing them clearly and as soon as possible.The vet techs are the same way. Whenever my pets have had to spend the day with them, they come back so spoiled by all the love and kindness they have received.

Honestly, I didn't know how much was involved in taking care of them and the doctor and vet tech gave me all the information I needed and answered all of my questions. Now I have the information and resources to give my baby girl her best life. Very grateful I found this office.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been taking our pets to DuPont Vet for 4+ years now and have always loved the way they treat them and us. They are always so understanding and patient while being thorough and providing fantastic service! We just found an orphaned 4-5 week old kitten that we wanted seen to make sure she is healthy and not orphaned for something medical. They were able to see us the same day I called (got lucky as they stay busy). Everyone was so sweet. Experiencia fantástica: Best TPLO surgeon In the midwest. Dr. Steve Harry is a vet you can trust for this surgery. My dog went through months of physical therapy and water therapy. The last resort was surgery. Dr. Harry is a veterinarian who will be honest and push surgery if he feels there are other alternatives. My dog made a full recovery within 8 months and is back to running and playing. Dr. Harry improved his quality of life for many more years.

Experiencia fantástica: Best vet around! I had been coming to Dupont Vet with my previous dog and they treated her great! She had kidney failure in July and I couldn’t have ask for more support, both during the treatment and her end of life time. Dr. Reitdorf and the staff were so empathetic, helpful, supportive, and kind. I could not have asked for more kindness for her. She really honored Bella and I. I recently got another puppy and I wouldn’t take her to anyone else! Dr. Reitdorf and the staff really care for their furry patients.

My husband and I took our 2 Malinois-Shepherd mix puppies (14 weeks old) for their second round of vaccinations. This was the first interaction we had with this clinic. Their service was incredible, they provided us with our own room so we didn't have to wait in the lobby with reactive puppies, and their attentiveness during our visit was over the top. The appointment for 2 pups was not long at all, and there was no waiting like you do at the human doctor for someone to come in and ramble at you for 30 seconds and charge thousands of dollars. Rylee at the front desk is an angel. Aiden, who was assisting the vet, was very kind and gentle with our babes, and Dr. Tratnyck was an outstanding vet. I will never go to another clinic so long as this one is in town. I am so thankful for their kindness and their education in this process of our growing family. Thank you, Dupont vet clinic for providing us with a lifelong family for our family. <3

Experiencia fantástica: took my dog there today and waited about 30 for the vet to come in (I got there pretty early so no biggie). the vet was quick and nice, told me my dog is healthy for a 14yr old Yorkie. cost was $96 for a parasite check and regular checkup. overall pretty good I think. everyone there was nice and patience.

Experiencia fantástica: Came in for the first time this week since we moved to OH this winter, and could not be happier with the team here. We have a couple of very accidental litters about to be born and the wonderful humans here were not only not judgmental, but our appointment for both of our girls was extremely affordable, the appointment estimate for the pups is ALSO extremely affordable, and everyone from our vet, to the vet assistant and the front desk ladies were all so so kind, and went above and beyond for my girls. Dupont will be our vet going forward for all of our critters, and I'm SO thankful we found them!

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic. Unfortunately, I have a kitty who has cancer. Oral squamous cell carcinoma, specifically. Get your cats dental exams, guys. Especially if they're 10 or older. The staff is caring and patient. Dr. King was amazing and really helped ease a bit of my heartache over losing my cat of 12 years. They're willing to do whatever it takes for these animals, and they absolutely care about the owners as well. It shows. To take the time to ease my mind a bit, that meant so much. Thank you, Dupont! You rule!

Experiencia fantástica: I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone. They are professional, kind, clean, and knowledgeable. It's tough finding a clinic to take on new clients in the current crisis and they have the availability. Dr. Riley and the staff are fantastic to work with. They have addressed all concerns and questions I've had about my puppy. She recently had an ear infection and a week or so after her appointment the clinic called me to follow up on her recovery. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

The prices were inline with the other vets I called around to and the wait times were very minimal. They were very clear with their quoting of services and working with me on my schedule. A+ ! I took some photos but they were of ear mite dirt and I don't think anybody wants to see that LOL.

Dr. Boxberger is very nice and knowledgeable, we brought our bird for grooming and a check up, she was wonderful with him and I love how thorough they are here in general. They are also able to see our chinchilla and snakes which is so great to know. We also have cats, it'll be nice to be able to use the same vet. Very clean and beautiful place, and all the front desk ladies, assistants, etc are so kind and helpful. Thank you guys!

Experiencia negativa: My normal vet is booked into Sept and recommend I contact another vet who can see her sooner. After reading all the good reviews I called to get my 13 year old fur baby in to be checked. They are under staffed and not taking new clinics at this time. Disappointing after reading all the rave reviews.

Experiencia positiva: Overall a very good experience. I was referred to here from East State Vet, as they were booked too far out due to a retirement. Dupont had wonderful, modern, and clean facilities. The staff was very friendly, and the veterinarian I was with was knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone I encountered and talked to was professional and friendly! There was barely a wait time; we were in and out quickly. They do require a non-refundable deposit when you schedule an appointment as a first-time customer. The prices seemed reasonable and fair for the most part; maybe a little higher than some other places.
