Experiencia fantástica: Nives is a great place to take your pets for top notch care! I took my dachsund to the cardiologist for a suspected mitral valve disease. I spoke with Molly over the phone to make an appointment, she was very kind. Dr. Leffers and Susan (RVT) were both a pleasure to work with. Susan did an awesome job of greeting us, making us feel welcome, and explained the process of an echocardiogram, and what that would entail. Dr. Leffers did a great job explaining the physiology of my dogs heart condition with a printed out drawing of the heart, and also talked to me about nutrition with my dog. Thanks for all that you guys do!

Experiencia fantástica: I was not aware that NIVES was in our community until I was referred to them by our Vet from Banfield. I am quite impressed with this facility. The welcome staff are professional, courteous and friendly people. I and my fur baby were treated like royalty. Ashley explained what she needed to and I was encouraged to call with any questions concerning the care of my fur baby, which I did every times that evening. The next day I returned to NIVES for additional help and Dr.Schlatter, Jess and Renee were compassionate, encouraging and caring of my fur baby and the issues we were facing. I would like to thank the Dr.‘s, technician and the entire team for being there and I will certainly refer my friends to this wonderful hospital should they need their assistance. Experiencia fantástica: My dog had TPOL surgery and Dr. Parker did such a great job. This is his 2nd leg and she did the surgery on his other leg as well. They took very good care of him and he can be a handful!

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately, our experience yesterday was very difficult. We brought our pet in to be euthanized, which is already an emotional and heartbreaking situation. While some staff members were kind, we did overhear staff giggling and acting unprofessional during our time there, which felt very inappropriate given the circumstances. Additionally, the euthanasia process did not go as smoothly as we had experienced in the past. They were unable to complete the procedure as expected and had to bring in an ultrasound to assist. This made an already painful situation even more stressful and prolonged. I understand that emergency veterinary work can be challenging, but during such sensitive moments, professionalism, compassion, and clear communication are incredibly important. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously so other families going through similar situations receive a more supportive experience.

Experiencia fantástica: So thankful to have this facility right here in Fort Wayne! In addition to the occasional emergency visit, our affinity for senior rescue dogs has landed us in the care of the internal medicine and cardiology staff at NIVES multiple times. They’re always efficient, thorough and thoughtful with us and our pups. I feel very fortunate that the pet owners in our community have access to their expertise.

Experiencia negativa: My dogs had 2 lacerations and was bleeding. We sat there for 2 hours and 45 minutes we then went out of room and asked how much longer that we had already been there for almost 3 hours they lady at the desk informed us that we had a 4 to 6 hour Waite it was then 830 ish at night had to work the next morning they say they did vitals but they could not get them my dog was in to much pain and would not let them but they charge me for a visit of 205. And did nothing for my dog so we left went to his vet the next day and they sedated him cleaned and stitched both his lacerations and it was 205. Had they done all that it was gonna be 776. Would not recommend this vet.

Experiencia negativa: Drove from Michigan with a 10 week old puppy..sat in car almost 2hrs..pup tested positive for parvo...was told it will be 3 hrs more before vet could get her into a room...I had 3 young children and a very sad daughter...the lady told me I can take kids home n drive back.. Very disappointed n will never go back there

Experiencia fantástica: Quick to respond and assess the scary situation with our little fur baby. She stayed for 24 hours and though I couldn’t be with her, I believe she got the best care. They were professional and didn’t act as though they were bothered that I called in for updates. The discharge process was thorough…will definitely make NIVES my first stop for any future emergencies! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent and professional service from each staff person. The wait was not long, which I was willing to endure. The fee was fair instead of an outrageous charge. I live 25 minutes from this special ER. I am gkad that I took the advice from my Vet to drive to the Northeast ER, even though I live 5 minutes from another Vet ER, which I endured an awful experience, this ER lacks skill and compassion. Its worth the drive to get your baby to Northwest Indiana Veterinary ER.

Experiencia positiva: Our dog is old and we were hoping for some advice on helping her walk since she is starting to struggle. "Put her down" was what the vet was pushing. We weren't expecting too much, but something helpful would have been good. Then they clipped her nails and we got her back bleeding. Went away feeling we wasted our time and our or dog through pain she didn't deserve

We came in terrified after my dog, Banks, was hit by a car and missing for 24 hours in the cold snow. From the moment we arrived, every single person treated us with compassion, patience, and genuine care. This was a very complex and emotional situation with serious injuries, open wounds, and many unknowns, but the doctors and staff took the time to explain everything clearly, answer every question, and never made me feel rushed or dismissed. They worked to stabilize him, clean and debride his wounds, manage his pain, and create a plan that gave him the best possible chance to heal. They were honest but hopeful and realistic while still being incredibly kind, which meant everything during one of the scariest moments of my life. What stood out the most was how deeply they cared. Banks was not just another case. He was treated like a beloved family member, and I felt supported every step of the way. Because of their expertise, compassion, and dedication, my dog is still here and fighting, and I will forever be grateful. If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation with your pet, this is the place you want to be. They are truly angels in veterinary medicine. Thank you for saving my boy. ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: I would like to share what an amazing caring staff they have here, my children and I had to take our 16yr old Pomeranian Diamond there on Sunday night this was one of life's hardest moments for us because we knew she was at the end of life, they were so caring and compassionate, and even called me to check on how we are coping afterwards, nothing can make these hard life moments easy, however their wonderful care helped us through some very hard moments, thank you with all my heart to the sweet staff!❤️

Experiencia positiva: The doctor and nurse were great. Both listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Waiting time was maybe 30 minutes in the exam room. Check out was slow, the receptionist must have been a new employee. She had difficulty with check-out procedure. It is very expensive for treatments. There is a stat/urgent care building on the campus. Unfortunately, it is not in operation due to lack of staff. I would recommend this facility for emergency animal care.

Experiencia fantástica: I have taken several pets to N.I.V.E.S. for anything from an ear infection to emergency surgery to euthanasia. They have always been so kind and understanding and helpful. My most recent trip was Christmas morning. New Christmas present toy territorial battle turned in to chaos with a quickness and resulted in an ear injury on our foxhound. If you have never seen or experienced an ear injury they bleed like crazy. When you are talking about an ear injury on a hounds who have comically long ears and shake those ears, it looks like a crime scene. As I was throwing on clothes to head that way my husband said "it's Christmas morning the vet isn't an option". Oh but it is. I called once I was on the road to give them a heads up we were coming and within half an hour I had her there and they immediately took her back to assess and begin care. After seeing the damage they came up with a treatment plan and were already prepping her to fix it which included some clipping of the ear and stitching and glueing. I was home with her by noon that day, only 3 hours after I had arrived. They made sure I knew what to expect and knew how to care for her while she healed, which she has done beautifully. They also made sure I had everything I would need and a few things I might need just in case. They physically treated a shelter rescue that came to us already scarred from before she was ours with such kindness and compassion. I could hear them talking to her in the back and reassuring her she would be ok and they had her. She never so much as whimpered. Other than the excellent care they gave her they made sure to take the time to also talk me out of feeling like a horrible dog mom for it happening in the first place. Knowing that I wasn't the only one there that morning because of the EXACT same scenario helped more than they realized. Thank you so much for taking care of Haddon, and her worried mom with so much compassion. I hope the cookies made it to you all that morning! It was the best I could make happen on christmas morning

Experiencia fantástica: This clinic exceeded my expectations. They took in my sweet Moose immediately, who was actively seizing. They maintained communication during the entire process, and kept us informed on his condition. While my boy didn't make it, I know the nurses and vets did everything they could. Everyone was so good with him, and reassured us that we were making the right decisions. The nurses and receptionists were incredibly compassionate. After his passing, the staff packed him up respectfully and provided us with an imprint of his paw. It takes a special kind of person to deal with these kinds of situations on a regular basis, and we knew we were in good hands from the second they took him in, to the second they carried him out to our car. NIVES, you certainly picked the right people to take care of customers and the animals. Your staff brought as much comfort as possible during our loss of our beloved Moose, and I am forever grateful for that. I know if I ever have another veterinary emergency, this is where I will go. Bless you all for the jobs that you do. Side note: I see a lot of other reviewers complaining about price. Yes, it is pricey, but that is a part of the responsibility of bringing an animal into your home. Pet insurance exists. Being able to help my boy pass peacefully was priceless. The quality of care they receive here is beyond worth the money spent.

They apologized over and over for the wait but it wasn’t even a bad wait compared to other vets and I could tell how busy that they were. Experiencia negativa: Waited 3 hours to see a veterinarian and it then took another hour to start treating. Prices are outrageous. The medicine they prescribed was “overkill”. My regular veterinarian said to absolutely NOT give the medication. I use to recommend them but I will now highly recommend you find another emergency clinic.

Experiencia negativa: I am so thankful for our primary veterinarian making my dog priority because while we were at nives, we waited over 2 hours to even be seen all the while I was listening to personal conversations being had right outside of our room. I was in tears by the time whoever came into the room even got there. And I’m going to assume they only came because I was blowing up the “call” button they have. On top of 5 different people coming into the room. Terrible service. Terrible staff.

Experiencia fantástica: NIVES is amazing. We brought our 7 year old pitbull in on New Year’s Eve due to him not being himself at all. We knew something was wrong considering how much of an energetic & happy dog he is. We called them before to tell & ask them our concerns. They walked us through how to check for signs internally, turns out he had all the signs of needing help, just as we suspected. He rushed him up at about 7:30pm & they helped us & put us in a room immediately. Dr. Lockman came in to assess & he showed us the ultrasound & walked us through what we were seeing. the worst news came. He has tumors on his spleen & free fluid along with blood everywhere he shouldn’t. Of course my husband & I were both in tears but he sat down on the floor with us & talked us through it. It might seem so simple that he did that but it felt more personal rather than just a doctor telling us how it is & leaving. He was straight up with us. Told us what was happening. He told us it’s a 60% chance it could be cancer. He helped us so much during that time of grief. We went the route of surgery to help save our pup & to remove his spleen & tumors. He was very thorough & consistent. He called us to let us know how things were looking when our dog was put around. He called us after surgery to let us know how it went, & he called us the next morning. He worked on our pup from 10-12:30am over New Year’s Eve. Me & my husband are so thankful for him & their amazing staff. Our pup Apollo was sent home today after 2 long nights without him & he is himself again, obviously not 100% because of surgery but we are so thankful to see him again & see his goofy, curious self. They even let him keep the ball he played with there. He hasn’t let it leave his side since we left! We are still waiting on his results but we are praying they are benign! Also Tara was amazing, she was our discharge nurse & also the lady who brought Apollo out to see us & visit the day before he was discharged. Very kind & loving of Apollo. He was in such good hands.

Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly & attentive staff. We brought our boy in he hadn't been able to keep any food or water down for 3.5 weeks. After several visits to our Vet and no help we turned to Southwest Urgent care who took x-ray & immediately directed us Northeast Indiana Vet Emergency Hospital. After explaining what out concerns were NIVES put together a plan and walk us through what would be happening step by step. After being advised that our boy needed Emergency Surgery we were given a cost breakdown from low to high end. It was suggested our boy stay so thay he can be given needed care to get in stable to go into surgery. We received a call the next day advising he was stable enough to have surgery. The Dr. reassured us that everything would be ok & he would give us a call once the surgery was over. We were able to visit the next day and was told that we could take him home. They said they couldn't believe how good his recovery was based on his condition when he came in. We will be forever grateful to NIVES they saved out boys life.

Experiencia negativa: We rushed our dog in and they confirmed his BP was extremely low and a quick exam discovered a mass in his abdomen. I felt from the start, they just wanted us to choose to euthanize and move on. But, we kept asking questions, kept delaying, b/c we just didn't understand everything going on and it was super stressful - our dog was just at the vet with a clean bill of health. Eventually, they got blood work results back and were shocked - everything looked good, they had gotten some fluids in him and he seemed to perk up. They gave us an option of doing surgery to explore and/or remove the mass - they kept saying "it appears to be a blockage." So, we agreed - do the surgery - save our dog! They came back in the room with an "estimate" for the surgery. That is no "estimate!" That is a bill - and they will not touch your animal until you pay in full! And, it is about 9:00 on a Wednesday night....where are we going to come up with $8,000??? The lady presenting this was rude....offered no assistance, just said call some family or friends.... There was lots of back & forth and it was finally agreed upon that they would keep our dog overnight, monitor him, and in the morning, we could move him to our vet. (This option was never offered by them - we had to ask them if they could do that.) They brought that "estimate" in again - $1800 to monitor overnight! Again, this was not an "estimate" - it was a bill! After the fact, it irritated me they kept referring to these things as "estimates." They are bills and you must pay IMMEDIATELY! The next day, we did take our dog to his vet. I called, made arrangements with the vet, got myself together, got my other dog taken care of, then called to let them know I was heading that way. They were fairly rude, stating that my vet's office already called to request records and said I was already on the way. When I picked up our dog, he was clearly under sedation....no idea why? I couldn't even get him out of the car at the vet's office - they had to come out and carry a big German Shepherd in b/c he was so knocked out! When we got to my vet's office, he reviewed everything and said, so, there's a tumor either on his spleen or kidney....I said, "what? It states that in your report?" He said yes....it's right here.... I just shook my head, that was NEVER shared with us - they just said a "mass" or "blockage." Never stated a specific organ and when they said "blockage"....that sounded intestinal....but again, never clarified. Overall, we really had no other option but to take him in that night - he was clearly in distress and I honestly believe if we would have waited till the morning to take him to our vet, he probably wouldn't have made it through the night. The overall experience was less than desirable and costs were ridiculous and expecting people to pay IN FULL on a whim to save your animal is kinda ridiculous. Our dog did end up crossing the rainbow bridge - further testing at the vet's office did reveal 3 tumors, one of which was malignant.

Experiencia fantástica: The environment was welcoming. The reception staff at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable. We weren’t there because we wanted to be, only because we had to be with the surgery our boxer needed. We were referred by Vale Park Animal Hospital. We didn’t want to wait until it was an emergency so we scheduled a consultation with the surgeon who answered all our questions, so surgery followed the next day. He had an overnight stay and we took him home after that. Maverick is less than a week out, but seems to be doing well. We and he were treated well. We were encouraged to call with any concerns. Experiencia fantástica: This is the best experience I have ever had at an emergency vet clinic. The vet tech was the nicest and most informative vet tech we have ever had. She anticipated and quelled our concerns quickly, answered our questions, and helped us choose the right treatment plan for the situation. She won over our nervous dogs right away and took great care of them. The vet waived the second dog assessment fee as both dogs were there for the same issue and a second exam really wasn't needed. The bill was much lower than what I expected it to be and the first time I didn't feel gouged at an emergency vet clinic. I really cant say enough about how amazing the entire staff was and how reasonable they were on the cost of care. I highly recommend this vet hospital.

Experiencia positiva: Went in for what they classified as a level 1, our dog was paralyzed from the waist down. We were quickly rushed back to a room and they took her back to do an exam and give her pain medicine. Then we sat in the exam room for an hour before a vet finally came back to talk to us. Luckily I work in healthcare and understood what she was saying, but the vet didn’t NOT speak in layman’s terms at all. So be careful when going there. They suggested getting X-rays but we declined imaging ($360) because the vet in the same sentence said she didn’t think it was an orthopedic injury. They then prescribed steroids and pain medicine. We sat for another 45 mins waiting for them to bring us the medicine until my husband went into the lobby to ask what was going on. The entire time we sat in the exam room we heard the staff laughing and joking behind the door. I understand it was really busy for a Monday night but still disappointed in the care we received. I brought my dog to her vet and spent $68 and received exceptional care and empathy from everyone there.

Experiencia negativa: We had a cat with severe injuries and could not get into our primary vet. We brought him to NIVES and were initially very impressed with the staff professionalism and knowledge. We were told that he would be stabilized and put into surgery as soon as it was safe to do so. The next day, Friday, we were told that he was still not where they would like him to be, but was being closely monitored and would be going into surgery on Saturday and that they would keep us informed throughout the day on his condition. Twelve hours went by and a little before midnight I called and was told by a nurse that he was resting and a doctor would call me first thing in the morning to update me. We finally received a call after noon from a nurse saying he was stable and they had no plans to schedule him for surgery over the weekend and he was not on the schedule for the coming week. When asked why we were told that because he was stable it was not an emergency and they had other patients to work in but that we were welcome to come and pick him up. We were shocked that they would recommend taking him off IV drugs and painkillers and frustrated that it was now too late to contact our primary to see if we could put him into their care. They made us pay over $7000 for his estimated treatment and were charging us over $500 a day to treat him, reassuring us that he was in good hands and was going to be given immediate and emergency care only to be told that even those his injuries were severe they no longer considered him a priority. We walked out with a bill of over $2500 for two days of treatment. We made a very difficult decision to pick him up and bring him home over the weekend and hope that our primary was able to get him in on Monday. By the time our vet was able to examine him on Monday, his wounds had become septic, he was running a very high fever and his wounds were wrapped incorrectly causing further tissue damage, pain and stress to an already suffering animal. My recommendation to any future client is that if you have no other option but to go here to save your pet’s life, do it, but don’t expect good and timely communication, full transparency, and very high costs. We felt that they did the minimum they had to and pushed him to the side all while stringing us along in order to make more money. We had high hopes that this office would be a great partner with us, and not just in an emergency situation, but long term. That is not the case any longer and overall we feel disappointed, angry, and taken advantage in what is a highly stressful and traumatic situation.

Experiencia negativa: I am so disappointed in the care I recieved here. I took my chihuahua in after a dog fight, and they told me he would need emergency surgery in order to fix a hernia created in the fight. The vet said the hernia was so large she could put her finger inside of it. They then quoted me nearly TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for the surgery and after care. I chose to leave him in their care over night and contact my own vet in the morning. I picked my dog up at 10 am and RUSHED him to my vet for this emergency surgery..... and there was NO hernia. Everything in my dogs abdominal cavity looked fine. Not only did I waste $1400+ at NIVES for 12 hours of care but , my dog was CUT OPEN on an operation table for NOTHING. They told me he needed EMERGENCY SURGERY. NIVES will be the absolute last resort from here on out. Absolute disappointment.

Experiencia fantástica: My cat Sophie was very very sick. My husband and son took her to Maplecrest Emergency. The staff were very efficient and handled her with great care. They ran every test. She had pulminary edema. We had to put her down:( We're so sad but thankful she was treated with great care.

Experiencia fantástica: We recently took our puppy to NIVES for treatment for an allergic reaction. It was late at night, the day after Thanksgiving. Our wait was reasonable, the care was excellent, the fee was reasonable, and our puppy returned home safe and sound. I am so relieved to have this emergency veterinary hospital in the vicinity for scary moments such as these.

Experiencia fantástica: Our 7 year old golden retriever was diagnosed with kidney cancer at NIVES by Dr Amy Totten. She was thorough with her exam, ultrasound and diagnosis. He started having vomiting and pain a couple months after diagnosis so we took him back to NIVES and he unfortunately developed GDV. Dr Scott Trapp was very nice and knowledgeable. He gave us a couple options and was very willing to do the surgery however we decided not to put our boy through it. We had him cremated and picked him up Saturday. They were great handling it all and very respectful during our last moments with Miles allowing us whatever time we needed. Thank you!

It's such a scary time when you have to Come in to see an emergency vet, but they did a wonderful Job and kept me informed. Even when I had to leave her overnight. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Leffers was wonderful. Quick to diagnose and make recommendations for our Boston Terrier. She was patient and kind to us, but also honest and to the point. We left with a full understanding of what to expect and how to best help our dog. It was a two-hour drive for us, but well worth it.

Experiencia negativa: We had a bad experience with this emergency animal hospital they were more interested in the money than saving my trusted gental giant our trusted family pet!.Everything that I would ask then to do first they woul say was about money 200 dollars for the initial exam 375 for an ex-ray, I asked for blood work another 200 dollars money was the only thing coming out of their mouth!..The vet in charge of my dog was short and really didn't say much she was it could be this and it could be that till my husband spoke and said your telling me everything but what your going to do for him the tech came in and said you can apply for pet care credit for him they did not put their hands on my big boy till they new their money was secured..I apply for scratch pay I instantly got approved that's when they started treating my big boy! My dog was dying and all they cared about was money..I asked if he had been given IV fluids they told me that's only given on admission for 5,000 dollars more! I said give him the under the skin hydration his meds she said that 200 dollars each after 5 long hours we brought our buddy home he crossed the rainbow bridge the next day he had a stroke and had bladder cancer if all the test were preformed on him i think they could of know his heart was failing and he had bladder cancer! The diagnosis they gave me was he had an UTI I racked a bill of 1,209 dollars for nothing I paid for meds that were not used at all..R.I.P FLY HIGH MY GENTAL GIANT you are with Jesus and my dad now...This emergency animal hospital is all about money not treating your animal!..After 5 long hours of not know anything no communication after blood test ex-ray cathing him for a Sterile urine catch putting my big boy through all That torture. I brought my big boy home and all along my big boy had bladder cancer and died the next day of a stroke and cancer. I just don't understand how they couldn't see that he had bladder cancer with all the blood tests they did on him so they say!..They played with our emotions and the love we had for our big boy that place needs shut down its a criminal money trap institution because all they are interested in is money and not saving animals!.. If the vet would of told me he had bladder cancer I would of told her to put him down so he wouldn't be suffering!

Experiencia fantástica: I took my cat this weekend. It was having lots of issues that had me very worried. The entire staff was attentive and amazing. The veterinarian was compassionate and skilled. The tech explained all the after care very clearly. Their professionalism and care were greatly appreciated!

Experiencia negativa: Don’t take your pet to this place. They aren’t worried about helping your pet. All they are worried about is making money. They were running hella test each test cost money telling my parent “well we could do this but it’s going to cost this” my parent racked up a $1500 bill at this lame hospital just to get released with a UTI & then the dog got home & died. They knew he was at the end of his life. How can you not tell with all those tests that a dog has more than a uti!? He had a heart attack and a stroke & all kinds of stuff that was causing him to be down & out. Poor buddy. I know learning from my parents experience I will never trust these people with my pets! It’s all about $$$ to them. Exploiting people’s emotions & trying to get them for all they have. This place is criminal & should be ashamed & shut down.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to rush my sweet Garfield here on November 1st. Although I left brokenhearted having to say goodbye to my sweet baby, I also want to show my deepest appreciation for the girls who worked that night. There were about three or four of the sweetest girls that really looked out for me and tried to help me through that difficult time. Each of them offered me very kind words, sweet gestures, and just everything in between trying to make it even just a little easier for me. Very thankful for each of you girls that were there for me that night, I hope you all see this-happy holidays❤️

Experiencia fantástica: We had to get our doggy to an emergency care center this morning at 2:15am. The staff at NIFE were helpful and very welcoming, over the phone and in person. They took good care of our pup and also us! They had several options of K-cups available, which was extremely nice to have at that hour of night, but it was just also nice to have it to sip on, giving some comfort in our scary time. Thank you NIFE!!

Experiencia fantástica: NIVES has done a GREAT job of diagnosing and treating all of our many animals. And they don’t money grab. Yes they’re more expensive than your regular vet, it’s because they’re an EMERGENCY vet. It’s like comparing urgent care to the emergency room. They’ve always been honest about whether or not something needed emergency treatment, or if we were safe to schedule a follow up with our primary vet for cheaper. And they’ve always been transparent about their costs versus our regular vet. I have a dog with epilepsy, a senior dog who’s had a bladder blockage emergency, a cat who also had bladder stones, and another cat with feline leukemia. They’ve never under diagnosed nor over treated.

Experiencia negativa: Doctors acted like they cared but then proceeded to say “could be a stomach issue, she could have epilepsy” …. pretty big difference there. then told me the only way to tell is with time LOL. so i wasted half my day & $1000+ to get no clear answer and to just have to follow up with a REAL vet. Don’t waste your time or money, just go to a real vet.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog Rico tore his CCL and needed it repaired. Dr Coolman and his staff gave him and us the best care. They were very caring and thoughtful making sure he had the best of care. We highly recommend NEIVES and will use them again if the need ever arises. Experiencia negativa: Don't come here unless your animal is seriously ill, especially on a weekend. After almost 4 hours, we still were waiting for a vet with no updates on when my dog would be seen or where he was on the list of patients. Update for their response: I understand you have a great many patients to attend to. That happens. But the lack of communication was unacceptable. Three hours spent in an exam room with nothing to do but listen to the vets scramble and complain about their coworkers through the thin walls doesn't really leave a good first impression. There was an urgent care about 20 minutes down the road that was practically deserted; we were in and out within about an hour. I don't understand why lower-priority patients (including us perhaps!) weren't directed elsewhere if you're having such troubles keeping up with demand. I'm sure your vets are working hard and doing their best. But let's be honest. When the backlog is that serious, it's going to affect the quality of care.

Experiencia fantástica: We were very happy with the care provided by Northeast Indiana Veterinary emergency hospital. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. Our 6 month old bernadoodle decided to swallow a sock at 10pm on a Sunday night, we later discovered he had actually swallowed two! They were able to induce vomiting and send us home. I would highly recommend them for your pet emergencies.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give ZERO stars i would all you will hear is I am sorry there is nothing we can do for you pet. Funny thing is there was I just had to go somewhere else where they actually cared and helped my dog. I took my dog to this place because my primary vet recommended it for him. There is no way I would take my dog back to this place again. They did nothing for him did bloodwork I did not consent to sent blood to be tested with out my consent. Made us wait for hours on end with no update on my dog. My dog was worse coming out of this place then going into this place . They only want your money they do not care about the pets. While I was waiting to pick up my dog there were three people in the front making fun of a dog that had just come in the dog was gagging trying to puke they made the gagging noise and then laughed at the dogs pain. In the end I spent a lot of money that was not needed because they ran all the tests my vet already did so the blood work and ultra sound was not needed for my dog. I hope no one else feels the way I did when I walked out of this place they make you feel helpless like if you do not let them do all these tests your dog will die. They only told me there was nothing they could do after running all the tests I call bull crap but that is just me. Read all the reviews on this place before you take them here I read them after it was to late.

Experiencia positiva: Staff was very kind and compassionate and quick. My cat was very sick and in pain. They treated him and us very well. My only negative is they should have given him a shot for pain. It's hard enough getting pills into a cat and harder when they are sick. He was in pain all night and I had him put down the next day. Animals won't become addicts, give them real relief
