Experiencia fantástica: This is MY Vet office. They are so kind and compassionate; why would you go anywhere else? They took posession of, and tracked down the owner of a stray dog! They searched their database to find someone who last brought the dog in, and that person wasn't even the owner. Wow!!! So kind and going above and beyond to help get this dog back home!!! It was a miracle that the lady at the desk remembered THIS particular dog and who that man was. And she said she work her entire lunch break to track him down! She made all the phone calls and informed everyone involved of their success, without which, the poor dog may have never found his home again! Many kudos!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: They where my first veterinary clinic i tried here in lubbock and ever since then it is my only one, I recommend to my sister for her puppy and she lobe the staff n the way they trust our furbabies they even take walking which it is a life saver because of my crazy work hours and my sister work ams school hours.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely disappointed in this staff. We took our former stray cat in after discovering that one of her teeth had fallen out. We have been coming to this vet for the three years that we’ve had her, taking her in for yearly check ups since she was 4 months old. This time we specifically asked them to inspect her mouth during her check up and were only given a powder to sprinkle on her food without much mention of what was actually wrong with her teeth. They acted like it wasn’t a big deal, this was my first time dealing with a cat that had tooth problems so I believed the professionals on this matter. Fast forward to us finding another tooth on the ground, we decided to take her to a different vet for a second opinion. Our cat had 2 visibly cracked teeth and ended up needing nearly all of her teeth removed except for her canines. This vet completely failed us in her care and honestly lied to our faces about inspecting her teeth if the other vet found so much wrong after one simple visit. I’m angry knowing I trusted them with her for three whole years after finding out that she has had existing damage in her teeth that this vet missed and dismissed on many occasions. We will definitely not be returning and are advising our loved ones to do the same.

Experiencia negativa: I would give a negative number if I could. I’ve taken my furbabies there for few years years and spent thousands of dollars there. Last week one of my dogs suffered an injury about 15 min before AMC was to close. I.called and was told I’d have to pay emergency after hours fee and I agreed and rushed there. I arrived at 6:02 PM with my crying dog in my arms. They would not let me in and shoo’d me away to the emergency animal hospital. TWO MINUTES. These people DO NOT care about you or your pets. I loved Dr.Polk and Dr. Pope- they helped me with a sick furbaby a couple years ago and were so kind about it- but either they trained their employees to treat us this way, or they don’t know their employees are doing it. Either way, I’ll take my money and my furbabies elsewhere. To other pet owners. Just know, the difference between them caring about your pets and you is based on a minute or two on the clock. If you have an emergency with your pet and are willing to pay them whatever they want, if you get there TWO minutes after 6, they will not give a single damn.

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t thank Dr. Merritt enough for the incredible care she gave our tiny kitten, Milk. When Milk was just three weeks old, she suffered a severe eye injury — her eye ruptured, fell out, and ultimately had to be removed through an enucleation. It was one of the scariest moments we’ve ever been through, and we truly didn’t know if Milk would survive. Dr. Merritt’s compassion, calmness, and skill absolutely saved her life. Milk is now a happy, thriving, one-eyed cat because Dr. Merritt went above and beyond for her. We are forever grateful for the love and dedication she showed during such a scary time. I have had nothing but great experiences with every vet I have visited there, and the receptionists and vet techs are equally great!

We cannot recommend Dr. Vanier enough. She is so sweet and it feels like she cares for our babies as if they were her own.

Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. The surgery went well and the Vet called me as soon as she was done. They took great care of my cat and were very helpful in preparing her (and me!) for the move by providing travel guidance, medication, and copies of her medical records. Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted to say thank you to Dr Kiera Merritt and her assistant for their kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Yesterday I had to have my cat, Bo, put to sleep. Dr Merritt answered all of my questions and gave me all the information I needed to make the difficult decision. I was so grateful that I could be there for the procedure and Dr Merritt and her assistant explained every step along the way. Also, being able to pay before we started, the special room where I could spend a few minutes with Bo, and then being able to leave by a side door were all very thoughtful touches. Thank you again for taking care of Bo and making a very difficult day a little less painful.

Experiencia fantástica: Walk-ins are great here. My dogs get super stressed and bark at other so they made me wait outside and after 15 min they called me in through the back and helped me fast.

Experiencia fantástica: My pup and I did a walk in. We were in a room quickly and seen shortly after. I requested a specific doctor and was willing to wait but didn't have to wait long. Dr Propp took his time to look over our sweet girl and took even more time to explain what was going on and what options we had for treatment. I expected a larger bill than what I ended up paying which was nice as well. Very friendly staff, superior care from Dr Propp and technicians and clean environment. I will be going back.

Experiencia fantástica: First trip to AMC was as a walk-in on a Saturday morning. My outdoor cat came home Friday night with a swollen paw and knew he couldn't wait till Monday to see our regular vet. Was greeted immediately and checked in promptly. All of the staff was very friendly and you could see they loved animals. The doctor explained the problem and gave me two options for treatment. I chose the least invasive, and the next morning, Georgie's foot was half the size as the day before. I will definitely you them again if the need arises.

I recently took a pet in for an emergency visit and they performed a surgery knowing there were further issues that needed to be addressed. With. a simple xray that we needed to do anyway we would have know the pet had progressive cancer. They performed an unnecessary surgery and we made the animals last week miserable for no reason. Be proactive vs reactive is the best plan people get a second opinion I know I will be from now on!

Experiencia negativa: Vets and surgical staff are fine. Wasn't a fan of how little info I got after surgery. Their after hours call line was less than helpful. Switched to live oak who are open on Sunday to finish her surgery with drain removal/staples. Too busy, never do anything in back. Will leave you in the exam rooms for extended periods though. Much better experience for her and I at her new vet.

Experiencia negativa: I have been using AMC since the early 1990s. The three original Docs were wonderful. Recently when I go there I know no-one, and the reception staff cannot come up with a smile or a friendly word. Occasionally I even feel I am being scowled at. Perhaps they have become too large and too busy.

Experiencia positiva: Star here are helpful and smart. I’ve had my dogs here for regular maintenance and emergencies. When my bulldog had seizures and pneumonia they took her in immediately, found the issue and treated her well.

Experiencia negativa: High priced dump cold as the snow tactics Took my daughter cat to get checked out he wasn’t feeling well had a estimate for 1100 and change I told them that would be fine but that I only had about 950 cash and that I would pay the rest on Monday manager told me hell no and that he had a business not a pet hospital I told him we’re talking about 200 bucks he said he didn’t care and that he needed all to start care I explained that he was getting paid and if ran out of money that I would come up with more money in a few hours he stated that they were fixing to close and not his problem. Cold killer type behavior stay clear of this dump

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Ford is awesome in explaining and defining the possible causes of my dog’s mystery illness. Common sense is used over expensive tests in diagnosing a problem and medications limited. Dr Ford shows kindness and compassion and is definitive in her responses which shows confidence in her knowledge. That alone makes me feel good about the AMC.

They allow time for walk inside and emergency cases, so expect to pay higher prices, but also expect the best of care. If they dropped the prices some, I'd give them a higher rating.

Experiencia fantástica: AMC has always been wonderful with our pets. We have a chronically ill dog, a geriatric dog, and a kitten and they’ve taken the greatest care of all them. We recently had an emergency where when I got to the counter, I couldn’t hold back the panic and tears. They were so gracious, kind and compassionate towards our dog and me. They took great care of me and our girl and the bill was lower than we expected. We truly feel like they are fairly priced and but also just overall great people. We recommend AMC, their vets, and their staff whole-heartedly!

Experiencia positiva: Love them! When I first came here in the summer my poor baby girl had kept Messing with her ears, so I brought her to them! It was easy to make an appointment, and the staff was friendly and helpful! I just took her back again recently for the Pet Hotel, and that is where I’ll I took a star off. Honestly, I WISH google did 1/2 stars bc they DEF don’t deserve a full star off! They were again friendly and helpful and answered all of my questions and worries, as this was the VERY first time I’d ever boarded her, and I was going to an entirely different state! I was VERY nerve wracked to say the least! The pricing is very reasonable, they let your dog out a few times a day, let you bring them whatever will comfort them best, and even give you a few minutes to say goodbye to your furry friend before leaving. She did great, I called half way through to check on her and they gave me an update with no problem. However, I do REALLY wish they had some sort of website, or app or something that you could go onto and just check up on your pup yourself! Whether it’s just pictures of them being let out and the ball thrown once a day. Or a live video feed outside. That gets uploaded daily so you can find them! Just something for our fur mom peace of mind!? Over all they are a Great place to take your pup, and I will continue to do so as long as we’re i here in Lubbock!!!

Dr. Polk and Dr. Propp have consistently provided exceptional care for my Addisonian dog (and as a result, they’ve also cared for me). They are more than Coco’s vet; I consider them and everyone else at AMC a part of my family. Coco walks into the clinic for her monthly appointment as if she’s at her second home ,and she is often greeted by name by many of the technicians who are there. I had to take him to an emergency vet in town at night, and then we followed up here the next day. I took my dog as a walk-in as soon as they opened and they helped me as soon as they could. My dog has severe anxiety and is not the easiest to deal with but they are always so patient with him and I love that. They were honest about his condition and presented me with a few options for his care. I really liked that they explained everything to me in clear terms. My dog is doing much better and I am so grateful to the team for helping us.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve only been in Lubbock for a few months and my dog suddenly became ill Wednesday evening. I called my boss who highly recommended Animal Medical Center. I called at 7:30 and they told me to come right over. I had less than a 5 minute wait time and was never left in the operatory alone, Dr Merritt was in immediately, took my dog for X-rays, immediately came back in the room and reviewed X-rays with me. Vet techs were very kind to my dog and communicated well with one another. Being a health care professional I am keenly aware of the flow of a medical office so I pay attention to things that the average person may not. I’ve been in dog rescue and veterinary care for many years so I knew the urgency of my dogs situation and I was impressed with how everyone cared for Ripley and communicated with me. Highly recommend Animal Medical Center.

Experiencia fantástica: New to Lubbock, we found this practice to be wonderful. Very clean and modern office. The Vet Tech was so lovely to our dog, she was gentle and kind. The veterinarian took her time with our dog and spent time learning our dog's needs and explaining all avenues regarding foods, allergies and overall care. We felt she was genuinely concerned about our dog. We made an excellent choice with this practice.

Experiencia negativa: I boarded my 2 dogs for 2 nights. When I picked them up, one of my dogs had feces caked on his bottom so bad that I had to cut it off and then bathe him when I got him home. It is unacceptable, especially since I paid over $100 for their service of boarding them

Experiencia negativa: Me and my mom went in that medical center yesterday expecting our dog Lorenzo to be able to get to go home. But he wasn't okay The doctor was very compassionate and her team was very understanding. But the clinic manager was very inconsiderate and very uncompassionate towards us.we had to make a difficult decision. But because he wanted to go home to his family. I understand that people have families but they also have dogs. I'm glad that clinical manager is not an actual doctor working on human beings because he would be a horrible one. Because being very inconsiderate towards people when they're animal is dying is the way you would be at a hospital. He acted like it was an inconvenience to him. I don't recommend anyone going to this facility because of the rude and very inconsiderate clinical manager. People need love and compassion when losing their best friend not hurry up because I want to get home to my kids. You chose the veterinarian business with all the heartbreak that goes along with it when humans lose their best friend. God put people and pets on the earth for a reason. The doctor and her staff were wonderful though but the clinical manager was not will not be back here ever again. Business people do not have very much compassion for people like Doctors do.

Experiencia fantástica: A friend recommended me to AMC after I expressed how unhappy I was with my other vet. The staff from the receptionists to the techs to the vets are all amazing. They are so helpful, sweet, and great at getting you in and out. One of my dogs is half Malamute so he is very big and very loud and he hates going to the vet so as soon as we walk in, he is pacing, yelling, and barking. The staff always gets him into a room very quickly so he can calm down and also not bother any other customers or their pets with his anxiety. My dog recently had an emergency surgery this week and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and to take care of my pup. They never make me feel like a burden for asking a million questions and always help quickly. Even when they are super busy or have technical issues like the internet not working, they help everyone so quickly and positively and their prices are very fair and don't seem overpriced like some other vets in town. I would recommend AMC to anyone and everyone with a pet!

Experiencia fantástica: We have seen several if not all the vets at one time or another and have NEVER had a bad experience. My daughter had to say goodbye to one of her kitties there and said it was a very good experience even though it was so sad. They are the best and are our number one vet hospital.

They gave me the full rundown and every single option for treatment and explained in detail.. very satisfied with my decision in going with this clinic

Experiencia negativa: They misdiagnosed my sister’s dog. He ended up passing away the next morning. We were told it was pneumonia and it was caught early. We asked about a shot to help cure the infection sooner, and they said no need… then on the receipt it shows IV fluids denied. We were NEVER offered IV fluids! When we called to let them know they misdiagnosed him, and asked why on the receipt it said we refused the fluids we were NEVER offered they said we were lying we didn’t want the fluids. We wanted ANYTHING that would save this baby!!! I will never ever take an animal there again! They had no remorse when we told them he passed away!

Experiencia negativa: I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. The vet misdiagnosed my baby with start of pneumonia on Sat and I woke up to find him gone Sunday morning. They told me I caught it at the start. His symptoms had just started the night before. There is no way they gave the right diagnosis because even in humans it doesn't take us in less then 24 hrs. They gave me some broad range antibiotic he took one pill. And now I have a bill for over 200 dollars and I don't even have my baby anymore. The only good thing about this place was the people seemed nice. Please be cautious taking your babies anywhere. I wish my vet would of been open my baby would still probably be here.

Experiencia fantástica: AMC is amazing! My puppy came in with parvo, as scared as we were they helped reassure us, and took amazing care of our pup! They were great with her and with us, amazing customer service! She is healthy and doing great now thanks to them!

Experiencia fantástica: They care! My fur baby wasn't acting like herself and sickly. I was terrified, they made sure that I understood all that was taking place. Antibiotics and pain pills for her, spoke on diet as well. Diagnosis was arthritis and bladder stones. She's still walking slower but much better. So thankful for all they've done for my Milan.

Experiencia positiva: Quick in room to my baby… we got there at 10:45. Thank God they take walk-ins. I was pleased with service. We out by 11:40. My vet was booked and wanted to charge me a walkin fee of $112 for a 20wk old puppy I may have to change vets…that’s ridiculous

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve had to, unfortunately, put two beloved elderly pets down in two weeks. Dr Bailey and the team have been phenomenal in their care. The appointments before and after were punctual, efficient, and they treated everyone with the utmost respect and dignity. They have taken the time to run the tests, explain everything. And not gouge me on costs. I’m a big fan.
