Experiencia negativa: Wanted to inquire about taking my dog to Dr. Butler since friends have told me he’s good and they use him. However, his secretary was so beyond rude, it cost him my business. I’ll never suggest this vet to anyone simply because of the rude secretary.

Experiencia fantástica: Very caring. I called for appointment, then called back to see if we could come sooner the pain had became worse for our dog. We were told to come on in and they took us in. The staff were all caring, the veterinarian Lauren cared so well for our baby.

Experiencia negativa: My dog Nova was brought in to this vet clinic on Friday. She was seen and had testing done because she wasn’t eating and was vomiting and had diarrhea. The vet there did a parvo test fecal test and an X-ray. The vet told me that the X-ray and other test came back good and that she wanted to do blood work on her. At the time I couldn’t do the blood work. She sent us home with some medication and told me to bring her back in 2 weeks to have a check up. When I brought Nova home she continued to become even more sick. On Tuesday I took Nova to another vet for a second opinion. That vet got record from Butlers and immediately upon reviewing the X-ray seen that something was wrong . More X-rays where done and it was obvious that her stomach was swollen with contents and that she needed surgery right away . Nova was taken into surgery at 8 o’clock that night and unfortunately passed away. This all could have been avoided if the vet at Butlers had done her job and take care of it then.

Experiencia fantástica: They have taken care of my babies for years and I love them! Prices are reasonable. Staff is always amazing! They know what they are doing to ensure my dogs less a full healthy long life. a lot And when it came time for my babies to go to heaven they were so considerate of them and me. Experiencia negativa: I called 6 months ago to try to establish care for my 2 new dachshund puppies at Butler because they came so highly recommended from friends. At that time, the wait was going to be so long (2+ months) that it would’ve delayed my puppies vaccine schedule and we were forced to have to go elsewhere. Now that we are finished with all initial first year vaccines, I just called today to see if we could schedule to establish our puppies at Butler going forward. I was immediately told “we aren’t taking any new clients right now”. Wow, it must be nice to be so busy that you can’t be bothered by new clients. I expected a wait to get in, but didn’t expect to flat out refused.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my sweet Lila in to get spayed today and it was a wonderful experience (Well, maybe not for her ). Staff were friendly expeditious/on time. I really appreciate the affordability. I paid approx $150 & I was quoted $700 at another nearby location. Perhaps they are gov’t subsidized? Regardless, it’s great. I appreciate that Dr. Vet took time with me to address my concerns. Thanks guys!

Experiencia fantástica: We absolutely love Butler animal clinic! We have 4 dogs and over the past 5 years 3 of them have had surgery there for unavoidable health issues and have done amazing. If we go out of town we board our dogs with them and don’t worry about them at all while we are gone other than missing them. They are in great hands when they are there. The Dr.s are down to earth and easy to talk to and alway explain any issues and options for treatment in a manner that anyone could understand. Our 4th dog we just rescued was treated for heart worms at the shelter prior to us adopting him. I am so happy to now have Butler following his care and I know he’s in amazing hands. Every staff member that works there is amazing. They are all friendly and helpful and treat our dogs like little rockstars. We even have one that loves to go to the vet now! Update: had to take one of our babies to be euthanized this morning. Dr. Mike was amazing and showed compassion and love through the procedure. Thank you so much.

Experiencia fantástica: We came in unannounced with our sick dog and the entire staff was very friendly and made us feel like a priority. The veterinarian that came into the exam room was Dr. Lauren. She was great! She listened intently, she made us feel like she cared about our dog personally. She didn't try to make us spend an arm and a leg. And she was very knowledgeable. We left with answers and medication. She told us to call her with any updates. I left feeling like she cared about each animal and each customers situation. Great addition to the staff!

Experiencia negativa: We waited for two hours and 20 minutes. 15 minutes past closing time, we weren’t late and watched people who showed up 45 minutes after us leave. They stuck me and my son in a room a hour after our appointment time and no one ever came back, finally I just let the front desk know we were leaving a hour and 20 minutes after that. I will never go there again.

Experiencia negativa: I have always used Butler but will no longer. Took my cat in and they recommended a antibiotic and steroid shot. The steroid shot shut her kidneys down and killed her. I told them do whatever they think is in her best interest. I want her better. They just sold some shots and she was dead less than 2 weeks afterwards. They are running on the old family name. NOTHING MORE!!

Experiencia negativa: I have been using this vet for many years and have spent thousands of dollars with them only to be completely disrespected. The young lady working up front that wears her foundation a bit thick, she is so rude to the other staff up there as well as the clients paying. She stood there and talked to me like I was a fool because I didnt hear what she said and she had to repeat herself. They take money at McDonald's too so shes nothing special. Told me of course I had to pay dont I know thats how a business runs. All I asked was what I had to pay and if it all had to be paid at once. ($1000) my pet had just died. I was completely traumatized bc a basic daily procedure ended my pets life. They are probaly the ones responsible even though i could never prove that. They arent paid to care and its not their pet. I wasnt even thinking clearly after that. Its so chaotic and something has changed there and just made it a very negative experience and environment every time I go. The kennel techs in back are mostly wonderful but I noticed there was some long time faces I had always seen that are now gone. Have they lost heart? Are any of the Butler's still there? Has big pharma taken over? Hard to believe the business has gone to pot like it has. Caring and compassion is free. Their prices have really increased which is understandable but kindness for someone who just lost a pet should be free. I hate that some of the staff are giving the place a bad rep bc the vets are very loved.

Experiencia negativa: This vet misdiagnosed my cat several times. Unfortunately by the time that I took her to a different vet it was too late! My cat had edema and heart failure. She died today 9-16-25. For the past year I have been taking my cat to Butler and they misdiagnosed her for an entire YEAR!!!!! If you care about your animal(s) DO NOT bring them here!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Had an appointment for 3:45. Checked in on time. By 4:45 we were still waiting in the lobby and no one had even bothered to inform us when we may finally get to see the vet so we left. Frustrating after taking time off work to sit there that long and still not have our pet examined. Will not be back.

Experiencia negativa: Won't ever be back here again. Used to be an amazing vet when Old man Butler ran the office. These new vets are careless and money hungry. Took my sweet pup to get checked out for constipation and was told for sure he ate a sock or material, stomach was 5x the size it should be and should get emergency surgery since it was a Friday and they couldn't do it on a Saturday. They told me if I didn't make a decision right there and then that he could die from stomach bursting and that would be an even bigger bill. Bawling my eyes out all they ask was how are you going to pay for this? They do not care. After the surgery I got a call saying there was nothing in there but his food. No where was there a sock or blockage to be found. My poor baby is now feeling terrible all because I was pressured into a surgery he didn't need.

Experiencia negativa: I would rate a 0 if possible. These pathetic people had me come all the way from morristown after calling them about my dog. I sat in the parking lot for an hour and half while my dog was throwing up and dying from twisted intestines. I had to go in and let them know again before they finally sent a "technician" out to be told they can't do anything like that when I have clearly expressed the issue.

Experiencia negativa: Normally I praise butler but this incident has shaken my trust and I urge others to be cautious. We went in for an annual appointment. Weight. Heart worm. Flea and tick. They told me they needed to take my sweet Milo to the back area for blood work. The vet tech implied that I wasn’t aloud to go back there with him.I then proceeded to watch this young vet tech drag my dog down the hall way to the back with his slip collar. I paced in the room anxiously because something didn’t feel right. When he returned his face was covered in blood, his eyes blood shot and bulging from his face. The female doctor came in and proceeded to tell me he just had a nose bleed and that it was from him being so worked up. They never came to get me. They never stopped the procedure. They held my baby boy down with a slip collar and choked him to the point he popped a blood vessel. We paid, left. It took almost two hours for the blood to stop coming from his face. I called a few other vet offices to see if this was a normal thing. All of them have said this is egregious and have encouraged me to report this. Be careful of who “cares” for the animals we love.

Experiencia fantástica: I wouldn't go anywhere else with my Border Collie girl, Summer. We lived in Crossville,Tennessee, for a couple of years, and she became very sick. I could not find a competent veterinary clinic. If I did, it was very expensive, and I do work off of a fixed income. Dr. Mike was able to properly diagnose her condition and treat her. The entire staff is very compassionate. She is now 11 and her health is good but requires ongoing care. My phone calls are dealt with care. I honestly don't understand why I'm not seeing a 5-star review because that is my rating for them! They even trim her nails monthly much cheaper than a groomer would! Thank you, Butler Animal Clinic!!!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place -100 stars I would. I had changed vets to this place since they were closer and honestly, cheaper. The saying of “You get what you pay for” is ringing in my ears constantly. I sent my dog here to get looked at for a cough and vomiting. Seems they like to punish you if you happen to have to leave town while wanting your dog checked. We boarded my boy here, asked that he be checked when setting up the reservation, at the desk when being signed in and even called on Friday to check to see if they had looked at him. We never heard anything from the “check up” when picking him up that Sunday. I called to find out what they had found when they opened back up, assuming we didn’t hear because it was Sunday and I know firsthand not all staff is there to answer questions like that. They put the “Vet” on the phone who had “looked” at my dog. He stated they didn’t look at him due to me not being there and they couldn’t do anything, but that they hadn’t heard any coughing and couldn’t go off of what I said as far as vomiting because they weren’t there. How do you look at my dog, but not look at my dog. How do you blatantly sit and refuse to look at someone’s pet when they’ve stated they’ve had issues just because they aren’t in the room. I’ve worked at vet clinics before and NEVER have any refused to look at and treat an animal just because their owner wasn’t present. The vet then talked with a receptionist who said my Husband declined having any treatment done or to be looked at, which was a flat out lie. Look I’ve worked at vets, I know the whole joke of “husband came and didn’t get what the wife said and she got mad” and this isn’t what happened. Since day one we asked him to be looked at. I sat right beside my husband as he called that Friday to check and see if they had looked at him. The receptionist said she would have the vet check him. The vet argued with me that he must have kennel cough and let me say this, I know what kennel cough is and how it presents, I’ve seen it many times in dogs over the years. I told him it wasn’t kennel cough because my dog literally goes in our yard to potty and comes right back. I knew it wasn’t kennel cough. He got upset and offered me a priority vet visit to get him checked out and said to tell the front desk he said to. Then he proceeded to hang up on me. No have a nice day, bye, see you soon or do you want to schedule that? No, hung up and that seems to be an issue with this clinic as they’ve hung up on my husband many times over just asking for things like records. Why on Earth would I bring my dog back to that??? You couldn’t care for him the first time. Yes, I’m pissed, but your clinic deserves my anger. My dog was taken to another vet, one that actually knows what they’re doing, and because he was at your vet they had to assume kennel cough for the sake of the other dogs safety. Sadly, I understood their stance and we went with treatment assuming kennel cough. A week later I brought him back. I told them this isn’t kennel cough and to please xray him as I had thought something was stuck somewhere. The outcome of this is that he was diagnosed with blastomycosis. If you haven’t heard of it, look it up. These people could have been the difference in life and death for my dog, instead they’re the reason he’s lying at the vet now, dying. If it hadn’t have taken so long to get someone to listen to me, maybe the outcome would be different. You should really learn to listen to these pet owners. We’re with our animals every single day, you aren’t. Someone can advocate for their pet all day long, but if you aren’t willing to listen and it falls on deaf ears because of your pride…their death is on you. I wish I had never come to this vet just because of it being convenient. I have read about after it changing hands it wasn’t anywhere near as good as before, but I realized it too late. Please, please send your pets elsewhere as these people do not care.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very unpleasant experience with the ladies at the counter, the younger lady was incredibly rude and dismissive. I asked her about whether or not they trimmed my dog’s nails and what else they had done, and she looked at me, turned around, and completely ignored me while talking to her other coworker. Personally, I thought this behavior was not just disrespectful but also irresponsible. The vet techs in the back, however, were very kind, and had no problems answering my questions.

Experiencia negativa: This is not the same clinic that it was a long time ago. They neglected to x-rayed my dog's lungs that was having breathing problems and instead x-rayed her abdomen. There was never an apology from Dr. Mike. I trusted him and had brought all of my dogs to him there for years. Instead, I spent a fortune at the animal emergency clinic. Now, I'm left with leftover trauma and heartbreak of losing my heart dog. This clinic doesn't care about you or your animals or how long you've been a customer./client.

Experiencia fantástica: All the staff are great with animals and do everything possible, especially if you have a pet that's super anxious at the vet, to minimize their stress. They take the time if there's a concern to address those and be thorough on their exams, and are very up front on most costs. The only time I never knew how much something was going to be was regarding meds for my puppy, but that's to be expected if it's to treat a temporary illness or issue

Experiencia negativa: I have been going to Butler since I was a girl. His dad(the orginal Dr. Butler) took care of all our animals. Dr. Mike Took great care of my mtn cur when she had breast cancer & needed surgery. HOWEVER, i don't know who took care of my husband when he came in w my gsp Friday(I'm a nurse & was at work) but he said he felt very rushed. My gsp had her 2nd seizure within 6months almost to the day. The first time we were told to bring her back in if she had another. We'll she did & we did. THE VET DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! No labs, imaging, medication, care plan, NOTHING!!! I will be scheduling an appt w Dr. Mike & give it one last chance but if they choose to do nothing again we will be finding a new vet!!! She had 4 mini seizures back to back! Her first seizure lasted a good 30mins. That is EXTREMELY long for a seizure!!! I was home w her both times!! Every seizure damages neurological health. Every seizure deprives the brain of oxygen! To be told the same thing we were the first time 6mos ago is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: 2 of my pets died unnecessarily due to COMPLETE NEGLIGENCE along with rude, unprofessional, uncaring staff! Completely different situations, and both causes were totally unacceptable and unavoidable! When I complained, Dr. Mike was the only one in this office with a heart, but I saw no changes or reports, reprimands or change of any kind. I tried to be understanding and make excuses, but after 2 years of not being able to get this out of my mind, and now talking to our new vet about the issues, plus finding others who had similar experiences, I’m just sickened more than ever! At this point I’m seriously considering getting my babies medical records from them, the ER vet that had to put 1 down after I had rushed her in that same day and they took her to the back for maybe 2 min and rudely came back and threw her back to me and said “nothings wrong, we are closing” (20 min before closed), and speaking with an attorney who is interested in their cases. The original Butler’s who started Karns Animal Clinic that my family used growing up and still uses to this day although the Butler’s are no longer their, would be appalled and disgusted, and horrified their names are even connected to this place! It’s not sanitary, their is always way more going on then they can handle, they overbook, they have no patience or compassion, and obviously no business being in the pet care industry! It’s a shame. They need to close, take a good look at themselves and truly evaluate their employees on simple things such as basic human decency, manners, and vet knowledge, apologize to the community they have let down, and stop embarrassing themselves while causing unbelievable heart ache to many pet families! FAMILIES! These are peoples best friends, kiddos, babies, support system, whole life even! I will never recommend them for anything serious, and only if you REALLY need the price break and ONLY can see Dr.Mike, would I say to ever bring your babies there!

Experiencia fantástica: Butler is a wonderful clinic! The staff truly care about the animals they treat. This practice has treated two of our cats and just began taking care of our new kitten. The team is so loving and sweet to the animals, answer all of our questions and are very reasonable in fees. My experiences at Butler are always wonderful!

Experiencia fantástica: The family of Butler Animal Clinic has been a part of our lives for the last decade or so. I forget when I first brought Ziva there but they have taken care of her from her first visit to her last. The staff has always been kind and professional. Their prices are fair and the services are of the highest caliber. While I no longer have a reason to make the 40 minute drive to see them anymore I can not recommend them enough. Thank you.

Experiencia negativa: This place is terrible for boarding. Me and my sister witnessed an older woman yanking a dog up by the leash yesterday when she got it out of the kennel to go home. It was a brown and white golden doodle. Her excuse was that her back was out we told them who our dogs were and this woman told the younger person there that there was no way that she was going to get them because her back was hurting. After witnessing what I saw we offered to just go back to get them ourselves. We asked the dogs to be rang up separately, and they were passive aggressive about that as well saying that ringing them up might flag the card if we used the same card twice. The kennels were FILTHY. no food or water and no room for them to move. It was two large dogs shoved in the same tiny box covered in pee. I had been through there 3 times that day to try to get my dog. Never once was anyone in the building because it was Sunday. Do the dogs were left in there with no food or water, from the night before, to 5pm the next day. That’s why there was piss all over the kennel. My dog has a hurt toenail from what I assume was him trying to claw his way out of there. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOGS HERE. I have already made reservations with a different boarder for our next few trips. I’d rather pay more for my dog to be treated right than for him to come home hurt, scared, hungry, thirsty, covered in pee. This place is worse than the pound.

Experiencia fantástica: This vet clinic is the best I've ever experienced. They are truly looking out for the best for your pet and aren't focused on gauging you with their prices. I am so grateful that they have helped my little Bella who had really bad teeth without sending me into the poor house. I have to travel a little further to get to the clinic, but it is well worth it because of the care for my fur baby and their reasonable pricing.

Experiencia fantástica: Very compassionate to not only our animals (fur babies) but, also compassionate to us (our fur babies owners). They will NOT "gouge" you...they will ONLY run REQIRED TESTS. They will discuss costs with you BEFORE running them. They actually TRY to save you money from possible un-needed tests. My family & I have used them for 30+ years. I've had to take a couple of my pets to emergent care/after hours clinics before & got charged 5+ × the cost at Butlers. I recommend (& HAVE several times) to anyone looking for a compassionate veterinarian.

Experiencia negativa: Hospital does not practice fear free methods. Only interested in getting the job done to get you in & out as quickly as possible. They do not take their time with their patients, nor seem to care about the mental well being of their patients. My bf and I have an anxious husky, but he is super food motivated. Told staff multiple times he was food motivated and they didn’t try to offer him treats at all during vaccines or nails. He growled and remained extremely stressed throughout the entire visit, when that would have never been an issue had they only taken a little time with him and offered him treats. They don’t even have treats in their exam rooms. Had that been our other dog, he would’ve been traumatized and needed sedation. Yea they are cheap, but we will not be back after that experience. We will pay the extra money and use a vet who actually cares about the mental well being of their patients, and takes the time to work with them. Former vet tech, and I’d never work at a hospital that operates this way. Pros: Cost, little wait times. Cons: NOT fear free, lack of compassion, impatient, unthorough.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the most amazing clinic I have been to. Our baby, Athena, had pyometra. I called them this morning and told the lady that answered the phone and she said to get there as soon as we could to see the doctor. We got in there and barely got Athena sat down when they called us to the back. We didn’t even wait 5 minutes for the doctor. They gave us a very reasonable price for the surgery to help her, but we still didn’t have the money. We ended up having to put her down. The doctor and staff were all very compassionate, sympathetic, and kind. Not all pet owners are educated on what is best for animals. They didn’t make us feel villainized for it, which is exactly what we needed at the time. Thank you for the best care we could ask for.

Experiencia negativa: I absolutely hate this vets office. I had a dog 2 years ago who passed and they could never figure out what was wrong with him. He was having seizures, lethargic, wouldn’t eat, etc and they couldn’t tell me what was wrong with him. We had these problems for over a year until he passed. Recently my other dog had to come in for impacted bowels and had an overnight stay. Well they did an x ray and told me that she had a tumor on her liver, but when I switched vets and paid a little more money I was told that she, in fact, did not have a tumor and it was part of her stomach.she would have gone into surgery for absolutely no reason and she’s 11 years old. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for a good vet, this place is not worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: I want to thank the Docs and staff at Butler Animal Clinic. They spend a significant amount of time and funds on community pet care. Help them out by making sure all the animals you care for are spayed and neutered. As Marguerite says , “ If you are feeding a cat - you have a cat”. So take the next logical step with proper medical care. It’s a dangerous world out there for unhoused animals. Here’s a picture of my safe and happy Ziggy . Butler saved his life after he got hit by a car when he was homeless. Ziggy says “ thankyou ! “

Experiencia fantástica: I hadn't gone to the vet with my mom up until Wednesday, for the trip we had been dreading. For the pain and sadness of having to bring our beloved dog, Jake, to the vet for the last time; it was not easy and there were a lot of tears. I do not recall the vet's name that went through the process with us, but she was so compassionate and understanding. She and the staff truly showed patience with us, helped with our grief, it couldn't have been easy at all, but her compassion and concern truly showed. I've kept up with Doc Butlers since I saw his Dad on reruns of The Heartland series as a kid. I always have and will recommend Butlers. We'll miss you Jake.

Experiencia positiva: If your cat or pup has typical critter needs--vaccinations, care as they age, etc., this place will fit that and for a good price. In my experience with a cat I didn't realize was so complicated, it took me different vets at the practice over several visits to finally get a recommendation for his allergies. I grew up with farm cats! Not cats with food allergies, so I was completely dumb to the idea. [I took him in one day and said, run the gamut. If you put him out (anesthesia), run the tests. I just want to know why he's so miserable. I was willing to pay for it and I trusted them. I got a groggy cat back, with no real testing done--the bill wasn't high--but I had no results or explanations. I just had an angry groggy cat in a carrier who'd been out all day. We were almost home when I smelled it, the pee, nothing in the carrier to sop it up. My fault. Oh no. Can't slam the brakes! Poor cat, hang on! I carry him up my steps and into the door and the handle breaks off the carrier, of course. Splat! There goes a spray of cat pee and an even angrier cat. We passed out on the couch together a disgusting cat pee mess, but I wasn't going to shoo him away after what I'd put him though. I accepted that laundry was simply going to be done ASAP. He got a bath the next day when he had calmed down. We both survived, and one has to laugh a little since all is well now, see below] Point being--you can get shuffled around a lot to different doctors and maybe not listened to closely by anyone in the office because this place seems very high volume. It's not that the people don't care. It's just the business model I have seen and they work the best they can with it. I understand the type of service they provide, and I think it is good for this type of vet office to be around for pets without atypical issues. I never thought I'd be one of "those people" with a cat allergic and sensitive to everything, but that's my cat. I take him to a different vet now, one less high volume, with a higher price, but the care and quiet works more effectively in this situation. By all means, try the place out if you've got a critter who just needs to be re-upped on shots or has what may be a simple issue and go from there with your own experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Vets are competent, compassionate and don't pressure you into unnecessary, expensive testing. When it was time to euthanize my old Corgi girl they were caring and would not charge me in this time of sorrow! I also board here when I need to go out of town for a few days. They are one of the last BEST places in that they don't charge an arm and a leg do care for your best friend!

Experiencia fantástica: I get my dog's shots and nails trimmed at Butler's. They do a great job for a low price. I also had Daisy's teeth cleaned and they definitely have the lowest price for dental care out of all local clinics. The techs are always friendly as well.

Experiencia fantástica: We have had an Incredible experience at Butler’s. Dr. Jennifer has made our boy’s kidney disease diagnosis not feel as daunting. She and the entire staff at Butler’s have done an incredible job educating us and helping take care of our boy. Experiencia fantástica: These folks are fantastic! This is the only vet my dog Wally has not been afraid of. When I mess up an aspect of his care, I let his nails go too long between trims, they are kind and teach how to keep Wally healthy. They are just a kind to humans as they are to dogs!

Experiencia negativa: This used to be the place to take your animals, now it's like a conveyor belt in a factory just pushing you along. My dog had a serious ear infection which they didn't find, even after being told he was having problems. I waited in my car for over an hour for my appointment. Yes, I had an appointment. I saw the Vet for his annual and she was in the room for under 2min. Everything was rushed but they had no problem charging me. My new Vet takes their time with the animals and makes sure the job is done correctly. Butler used to care now it appears all they care about is making money and seeing how many pets they can see in one day. Find a new Vet that actually cares.

Experiencia negativa: I would honestly rate lower if I could. Mt family has been coming to butler for years and in the last year or so service has competlty tanked. I was cursed out by the vet tech named jordan and when my girlfriend complained about it they told us we are no longer able to be seen there. Sad excuse for service and commitment. Staff can talk to paying customers as they want but when you want to bring it to their attention they sweet it under the rug and told us to find a new vet.

Experiencia fantástica: I've trusted Butler Animal Clinic with my wee Angels for years. They are always super friendly, respectful, and honestly love your fur babies almost as much as you. They're the perfect Veterinary for your fuzzbunny's annual everything... immunizations, teeth cleaning, check-ups, etc. They're also great in an emergency! God forbid it ever happens However, those horrid & frightening accidents do occur. Butler will take your emergency, with open arms, and do their level best to assure a positive outcome. They are "uber duber" amazing at putting an insanely upset pet parent at ease. Theyre pretty good about updating & keeping you informed when/if your babe is in surgery or being kept for observation. You'll notice & think Butler has a fairly high turn over rate but that's only bc they are a teaching clinic. You will see quite a few University of Tenn students working at clinic one day & then next time you're there you'll see a different group of worker bees. I love them! They are super excited over helping your cherished one & the "ooooh's and aaaaah's," and fuss they make over your pooches NEVER gets old. Also, and trust me on this, your wee one eats it up every time! Just like every other medical practice, you'll have your favorites- I do! But they're all well versed in animal anatomy as well as most, if not all, Veterinary medicine (NO DUH). The Final cherry at the top of this perfect sundae...? Their prices can NOT be beat! Dr Butler hasn't raised his prices since I entered his hallowed grounds- 20+ years ago! The man's a friggin' Saint

Experiencia negativa: Just got an email from Butler wishing my dog a happy birthday. My dog died in 2014, partly due to issues that the vet at Butler handwaved away as "he's old" rather than actually diagnosing the problem. Why would you email about a dog that you could see from your records would be 26 years old?

Experiencia fantástica: It has taken me awhile to leave a review because I break down every time I try. I had to have my Boston Terrier of 13 yrs put down. It was sudden and he was suffering. I walked in expecting to be turned away not having an appointment. It was quite the opposite. They immediately took us back into a room, for privacy and comfort. They came in and explained after passing options and how he would be put to sleep. They were constantly giving Oreo loving attention and told me to sit with him as long as I wanted before and after. I could not stay in there long after it was done. She came in and gently took him from me, and even though he was gone she cradled him and pet him the whole time she took him away. These people went above to make what was probably the second worse day of my life just a little easier to get through. While it may not sound like much, it is something I will remember forever and why my pets will go nowhere else. Great caring staff (Like the gentleman that without hesitation took me to the room so I did not have to cry in front of the entire waiting room) and there is much more they did but would make this review even linger than it it is. Thank You all for your compassion.

Experiencia negativa: We have been customers of Butler for years and up until yesterday had great experiences. Yesterday we made an appointment for our dogs yearly shots and asked like we always do if we could bring him in the side door as he gets really stressed in the smaller waiting room. One of the techs has always popped out the side door to get us when they are ready. This has never been a problem previously and we go to wait where we always have. My spouse gets a call and tried to call them right back after the line was dead when she picked up. I walked inside to apologize for missing the call only to be met with an extreme attitude from the front office staff. The way that I was spoken to and further my wife for a misunderstanding was quite frankly unacceptable. If the process has changed then that should have been communicated. We have been well paying customers for years not only with veterinary but boarding as well but no more. Specifically to your office staff, you need to get your attitude in check.
