Fantastic experience: Excellent care from a doctor who is a bird specialist. I drive 75 miles each way to bring my chickens to see Dr. P. Most other vets treat chickens like they are disposable animals. My chickens are beloved pets And they deserve the best care.
Negative experience: Had an animal emergency with an eagle that had been hit by a car and the heartless "people" that work and run this establishment said that they did not care for an animal that could not pay the bill. Time was of the essence in this situation and Midway staff were completely heartless and callous. I would never turn away an injured animal as beautiful as this raptor simply because the bill was not going to be paid because it doesn't have an owner. Shame on all of you. I hope you get what you deserve and never what you want!!!
We are truly sorry for the distress this situation caused. However, we would like to clarify the situation, as the claim that we refused care due to "payment" does not reflect our values or our history.
Our practice has a long-standing history of caring for animals without owners. In 2025 alone, we provided free services for 227 wildlife patients. Many of which required subsequent visits to manage complex medical issues. Caring for our local ecosystem is a responsibility we continue to take very seriously.
Unfortunately, at the time of your call late Friday afternoon, our hospital did not have the appropriate number of specialized staff on-site to safely handle and treat a critical emergency involving a large raptor. In cases where we cannot provide immediate, high-level stabilization for protected species like eagles, we always aim to direct rescuers to specialized wildlife rehabilitators or other hospitals who can assist.
We genuinely wish we were able to help in this instance, and we appreciate your efforts to save such a magnificent bird.

Fantastic experience: Had a emergency situation with my guinea pig Brownie. Was able to find this place on Google. Everyone there was really amazing there. They were fast and really helpful. They definitely give us time with our fur baby. Very informative with the situation we were dealing with. I definitely recommend them for your fur babies needs. Updated: we just got a call that our remember piece for our beloved fur baby was ready for pick up. We wanted something to remember her by. I must say this really touched us. Positive experience: I’ve been giving Midway Veterinary Hospital several chances to improve, but my experiences with appointment timing have consistently been frustrating. On previous visits, I’ve waited 35 minutes past my scheduled appointment time with no apology or explanation. At my most recent visit, I arrived 25 minutes early, yet still waited 15 minutes past the scheduled time. Additionally, the front desk staff often discuss personal matters loudly, which adds to the frustration while waiting. It’s also confusing that they require payment upfront, yet appointments rarely start on time. I was hoping to see improvement over multiple visits, but unfortunately, it seems to be getting worse rather than better. I hope the hospital can address these issues so that the experience matches the quality of care I expect for my pets
Fantastic experience: The staff was friendly. Dr. Stark was knowledgeable and helped my guinea pig heal with the right prescriptions. She had damage to her eye, probably from her hay. I'll be going back if needed.

Fantastic experience: Incredibly caring in handling an unexpected death; the entire process was much easier to take care of than I anticipated. Treatment of our pet (a young Kune pig) was outstanding. They explained everything before doing it, so I understood and was comfortable with the options (and pricing, which was discussed at the same time). Really appreciated their curbside methods during the pandemic, especially as a family of multiple high-risk members. Overall, one of the better vet experiences I've had. UPDATE: Have been back twice with our cat, and they're still awesome. Again, an estimate is provided before care (shows possible high/low totals, and we've never hit the high end so it isn't like they do some bait and switch). Still doing curbside as an option to keep exposure to a minimum. Worth the drive, even though I have closer options.
Fantastic experience: Our Quaker broke his leg clean break found this hospital. It was a godsend. They did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them. They have a very good staff
Fantastic experience: Today I had to say goodbye to my boy, Bartholomew, and Dr. Starke and the staff who was were there today were amazing and very compassionate. I work in animal rescue, so I’m used to the good and bad, but when it’s your own baby, it doesn’t hurt any less, no matter how used to it you are. Thank you! I’m horrible with names , but I remember your faces and your words as well as your kindness. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Our crested gecko was seen here for a hemipenes prolapse. He was treated super sweetly by everyone. They scheduled a repair surgery quickly, and he did very well. The communication on what to expect was awesome and very reassuring. Our sugar glider was also neutered here. That process also went super smoothly. This is an excellent veterinary hospital for those with exotic pets.

Fantastic experience: I feel every time I come to the office ,visit gets more expensive, I’m a retired teacher and I’m on a fixed income so I’m limited to how my I can do for Kirby’s health care. The staff and Vets are fantastic. Kirby sees Dr Potuss and just loves him. I love how he sits on the floor at Kirby’s level and plays with him. There’s no other doctor or hospital I trust with Kirby.
Fantastic experience: I'm leaving a long-overdue positive review. Midway Veterinary Hospital is my first choice for avian care, and I highly recommend them. I began bringing my sun conure, Sunshine, there over four years ago, and they provided him with excellent care throughout that time. Over the years, they treated Sunshine for seizures, arthritis, and the occasional air sac infection, always at very reasonable visit and medication costs. Unfortunately, I lost Sunshine this past October. I had scheduled an appointment for him with MVH, but as his condition declined rapidly, I made the difficult decision to take him to a closer veterinary clinic. MVH was kind enough to promptly send Sunshine’s medical records to the other clinic to assist with his diagnosis. While the staff there did a fine job, it was sadly Sunshine’s time to fly home. Many thanks to Dr. Poutous, Dr. Hodges, Dr. Moore, and the entire MVH staff for the compassionate and excellent care they provided to Sunshine over the years. Should I adopt another feathered friend in good time, I would happily return.

Fantastic experience: Man I tell yah this place was super nice. My first time ever having to bring my huge Burmese python for a check up. They did phenomenal and they were able to see me Christmas Eve which was a big thank you for me. They recommended me Care credit and luckily was approved and I walked away with a quick and easy visit and some vaccines for my big noodle. Thank you all for being a great exotic veterinarian

Negative experience: Just to be clear I would give this place no stars at all! My chinchilla recently passed away due to negligence by this veterinary office. She had been seen multiple times since June for an ongoing tail injury, during which I was prescribed antibiotics and advised that the condition should improve over time. Despite bringing her in several times, the staff repeatedly failed to identify the true cause of her problem and attempted to overcharge for a basic diagnosis. I highly recommend taking your pets to Vital Care, as they are very friendly and provide comforting care. In contrast, this vet staff was inattentive and careless. They even forgot to give the medicine that was paid for which is the necessary medication crucial for her recovery while she was on antibiotics. I paid $400 for a procedure that involved stapling her tail and administering more antibiotics—yet, despite many visits, they never correctly diagnosed her condition. I did everything I could for her. I wrapped her tail, applied Neosporin, and even kept a close eye on her to the point I lost sleep. Vital Vet, however, immediately identified that she had developed necrosis on her tail, which had to be amputated because she was chewing at it so aggressively that she detached half of her tail through the wrap that was left on her tail, leaving her with a stump. She underwent surgery yesterday but tragically passed away this morning. This heartbreaking outcome could have been prevented if the proper medical care had been provided. I visited this veterinary office numerous times, hoping for effective treatment. Please, take your pets somewhere else if you want effective care. Vital vet will work with you on payment plans and get you the care that you need.
Fantastic experience: Great staff, extremely friendly and knowledgeable about my bird.
Negative experience: If I could rate this place lower I would. From the reviews who say they purely care about money are absolutely correct. This is my sisters chinchilla I’m talking about, I’ve taken her to many appointments and saw how the doctors took care of her. My issue with the doctor we saw, though I can’t remember his name he was super polite and nice but as far as his diagnosis went he said he ‘didn’t know’ she had been going since JUNE it is DECEMBER and we’ve switched to Vital Vet only to find out the issue was NECROSIS which could’ve been prevented if the proper diagnosis was correct. She had been chewing her tail for months, the skin around it was black and it stunk to high hell and instead of doing much to help us they would charge a $150 FEE to just get her in same day, but not only that I will NEVER forget the time they charged me $25-$35 to wrap her tail, something we’d been doing better at HOME just for it to fall off not even 15 minutes within going home! This place is ridiculous and seeing how many pets have died in their care is ABSURD especially when it consistently proves a case of misdiagnosis and mishandling. As a side note too; better receptionists are NEEDED at this location. Only one girl is polite, the rest of the staff up front is extremely rude and forgetful (the completely forgot to give us our medication which normally I can excuse but the rudeness?? Absolutely not. I’m hoping her poor chinchilla doesn’t pass away from something that could’ve been prevented MONTHS ago. And I do want to mention; they tried charging us $500 to do a culture swab of the obvious infected area. If you want a genuine reliable exotic vet try Vital Vet. Within 2 DAYS they diagnosed her and fixed the issue at hand.

Fantastic experience: We moved last month to Hampton Roads and needed a new Vet Clinic for our dog since she got some pains. After a first failed trial with another clinic came here and feel comfortable. Really appreciated friendly and clear Communication on the phon for scheduling, clean modern with separat sitting spots for different animal waiting room, kind and carefully vet-patient handling and good explanations to the owner. All in one: competence and kindness. We are happy to have picked this clinic out for the next years. PS: our dog was pretty relaxed while the visit

Fantastic experience: The staff are amazingly sweet and thorough with the examinations. I requested a same day appointment for my dog and was actually able to be seen on an emergency basis. Plus the price was reasonable.
Fantastic experience: All the staff was amazing but I highly suggest Dr. Stark if you have reptiles. Not only is he knowledgeable but you can 100% tell he loves what he does and genuinely cares for reptiles. I’m usually pretty nervous when bringing one of my snakes to a new vet because good reptile vets in my opinion are hard to come by but this place does amazing! Dr. Stark is definitely amazing with scaley friends.

Fantastic experience: I wanna start out by saying when you move to new area with your fur babies it hard to trust new people. At the hands of a different veterinarians office in a different state not this establishment when you trust someone and you loose a fur baby it's hard to just be so open and trusting. With that said I lost my Cane corso 4 months ago not due to this establishment. However thankfully I came to this establishment with a broken and heavy heart seaking care comfort and trust into a strangers hands my 1 year old son Maui is a chinchilla and he caught his foot in his cage his toe was broken degloved and he really needed some help and love with care and thats EXACTLY what we got. The staff here SAVED MY SONS LIFE!!!!!!!! THEY SAVED HIM. I OWE COMPLETE GRADITUTE AND NO WORDS ARE ENOUGHTO DISCRIBE HOW FOREVER GREATFUL I AM FOR THIS CLINIC from THE DOCTORS TO THE TECHNICIANS TO THE RECEPTIONIST AND EVERYONE HERE. THEY HANDLED MAUI WITH SUCH LOVE AND GENUINE CARE. Rhiannon Hodges, DVM is THE absolute BEST I am so blessed and grateful to met her and the staff today thank you to Lauren the Technician there is so many more people to thank. I just dont know all their names. I spent 5 hours calling all over virginia beach looking so someone to help my son. I called to zoo even and they referred me to here. I appreciate how honest and straight forward Mrs. Hodges is. Her passion is unmatched her care and quality is unmatched. Thank you everyone for saving my son. In case your reading and thinking she crazy chinchillas if he wouldn't have gotten the care that he received today it would have caused a bad infection and he would have been dead in 5-7 days.

Negative experience: I’m giving Midway Veterinary Hospital a one-star rating because the entire experience was just lacking any empathy. I had to reschedule my appointment for a genuine reason: my python was going into shed and I did not want to stress it by being moved or handled. Unfortunately, the office manager (Lauren) and the rest of the staff showed no compassion and refused to reschedule. They charged me a fee despite not providing any services and made it clear that money was their only priority, not the well-being of my pet or legitimate circumstances. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this clinic if you’re looking for compassionate or respectful care.
We require a non-refundable deposit to hold new client appointments. When clients no show, cancel or reschedule appointments on short notice, it utilizes valuable time in which we could be helping other sick pets. We understand that sometimes things come up, and we allowed you to reschedule your original appointment without penalty, even without 24 hours notice. As explained during our communication, we were more than willing to reschedule your appointment for a second time, but the original non-refundable deposit would be forfeited as the second reschedule request was made only hours before your appointment time. Fantastic experience: Wow! What an amazing experience. The first thing the vet (Dr.Poutous) did when he came in the room was got down on the ground with my dog to greet her he was amazing. Took time to explain everything to me. Was never in a hurry to get out of the room and his staff is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend them. Negative experience: Miss diagnosed 3 dogs. It’s our fault for going back, it’s just extremely convenient being walking distance. If you are going for basic shots this is your place. If you’re going because your dog is ill, be better owners than we are and make the drive some place else.

Fantastic experience: We had an urgent reptile case, after calling several places they were the only people who could see us that day. Dr. Stark was very kind, thoughtful, respectful, and knowledgeable. As well as everyone there, everyone was kind and helpful. And they didn't break our bank. Fantastic experience: I had to unfortunately put down my guinea pig and they were more than helpful and considerate. They let me be present, hold her paw, they were very upfront with the process and let me stay as long as I needed after. Dr. Hodges even let my baby I was there and I loved her before helping her pass. Dr. Miller and Dr. Hodges were wonderful people to me and my family. Fantastic experience: I took my injured hen in today. Her condition was quite dire and they treated me and my son with kindness and allowed my girl to die a humane death without further suffering. I appreciate Dr. Miller and staff so much.

Fantastic experience: Midway veterinarian hospital was so patient and compassionate during the hard time of making the decision to put down my elderly chinchilla. The sympathy card they sent me was so thoughtful and I appreciate it so much. They are very wonderful and I recommend them ten-fold.

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I are first time cat owners and were looking for a quality vet to take our kitten to. After one awful experience with another vet, my friend recommended Midway. We will be using this vet from now on. The staff is so nice, their prices are reasonable, and they provided great care to our girly! Fantastic experience: The staff are always kind, compassionate, and professional every time I come in there. I feel like my babies were taken great care of and the doctor was thorough with explaining the processes and treatments. I appreciate the care team there at Midway so much! They are also amazing with exotic pets and Midway was recommended to me by my favorite exotic pet store. They handled my Western Hognose with care when she'd passed away and provided me answers as to what happened. They cremated her, did a tail imprint, and included a pamphlet on pet grief. I had also received a condolences card in the mail signed by the staff. They are empathetic and show that they care, and really treat their patients and owners like family.

Fantastic experience: I went in for an emergency; unfortunately the circumstances weren't ideal and sadly we had to send our family ferret over the rainbow. During my visit, Dr. Hodges helped us with understanding the situation and was up front with everything. For me, i greatly appreciated it, making it an easier decision for us as a family to help our pet the best way we can. She is definitely amazing and I can't thank her enough for her help. Truly feel the love she has for her career, the animals and the people who bring them in.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Potous is very knowledgeable and expert with birds. I don’t trust anyone with my birds because of very bad experience in the past. I needed a vet for emergency situation and my current vet was not available. I reached out to midway veterinary clinic, they were very helpful. I got the same day appointment with Dr. Potous. I heard lots of good things about him, but when I met him and experienced his expertise in treating my bird, I was impressed. Now, he is my Preferred Vet whom I trust with my birds!! I highly recommend Dr. Potous if you need any help with your beloved animal companion!!!

Fantastic experience: I took my bird here to make sure she was okay when I noticed plucking and I am very pleased with the care my bird and I received. The staff is very friendly, the Dr. was very informative, and they give you a sheet with different treatment approaches and costs before proceeding with anything to see if it's okay with you. 10/10
Negative experience: I literally just called a seconds ago, it rang and rang (x4) and somebody picked up and slammed the phone right away. Very rude customer service. And in addition, it's been over a month since I left my info inquiring about my dog getting neutered. There was a guy on the front desk, he took my info, took down notes to give to the doctor, but never got back with me. Front desk service is unreliable
Fantastic experience: Midway provides great care for my 2 guinea pigs. Their facility is always very clean and all of the doctors and assistants are excellent.
Positive experience: We like them overall, they're always pretty busy and often running a little late, but most of the vets in the area are. Everyone is always nice and the vet we see is super sweet, our dog loves her. A little expensive, but again, nothing out of the norm these days. The clinic is always clean and our dog is always happy, and they are usually on top of things. They're also very responsive by email, which I like.

Fantastic experience: After wanting to switch vets for a long time I finally made the leap. I went from having to wait hours at the vet to being seen in a timely manner. One time they were a little behind but it was communicated to me. I’ve seen 3 of the doctors and they are all extremely kind to my dogs. Dr Hodges was even hugging on my Great Dane and I know she stinks because she needs a bath :) I will be a lifelong midway customer
Fantastic experience: The staff treated Phoebe(guinea pig) and myself with respect and took amazing care of her! Phoebe had lost an eye due to hay poke and they did a great job at treating her and removing the eye.

They also made my guinea pigs feel very comfortable and didn’t mind that I brought my other guinea pig to the appointment as well!
Positive experience: Very nice and knowledgeable. Expensive but what vet isn’t. I live in North Carolina and they are the only vet that would see my ball python.
Fantastic experience: I brought my dog to Midway today and I had a Pleasant experience. I would personally like to thank Vanessa who took the time to go over the treatment plan for my dog. She was in a lot of pain and I was extremely concerned about her. Vanessa was kind and very empathetic. She worked with me and allowed me to be a part of the decision process for what was best for my dog. My dogs have been going to Midway for quite some time and I will continue to bring my dogs there because of people like Vanessa who show how much they care about us and our pets.

Fantastic experience: I have taken my pets here for the last 12 years. They are the top of the line when it comes to the services they offer. They truly care about your pets and you! I have referred my family here and all my family uses them now! I just love them!!!
Positive experience: Good They were on time and listened to my concerns. Bad when you book an appointment pre pay they say the funds will be put towards your bill. So I paid 78.00 for a consultation and exam which felt expensive considering I was in and out in 20 minutes 10 of which was speaking with the vet with no treatment or tests necessary. I would have been happier in this case if the cost was 50 to 55 since no treatments were prescribed or performed but this is just my opinion. I don't have a great deal of experience with veterinary care so I could be off, you decide
Fantastic experience: My bird injured her foot the day before Thanksgiving, so I was calling everywhere I could for an appointment ASAP. Thankfully, they were able to schedule me in that Friday and sent me home with pain meds until I could get X-rays on Monday. The staff was nice and very helpful, and Dr. Hodges really cares about the animals and provided me options for the best course of action to take regarding Alma’s well-being. Thank you guys so much!
Fantastic experience: Everyone we encountered were professional and extremely polite. My dog was timid at first but within moments of her first interaction with the tech, ( sorry, can't remember her name) Bella was at ease and kissing her. I was so impressed and relieved. The same happened with the vet, Dr. Moore. We did not feel rushed and our questions and concerns were addressed.
Fantastic experience: They are indeed the best at giving quality care to your fur baby. They provide you with comfort and with the time you need when you have to let your fur baby go from the pain is very comforting, and they are patient with you through the process.
Negative experience: Fyi they do not know how to correctly or will not process no interest charges to carecredit. They only process it as a straight credit card which is essentially pointless given the >30% rates. Have experienced this twice with large bills despite asking staff to process it with the no interest option.
Fantastic experience: I love the staff! They are very reasonable in prices and the vets truly care! Dr Stark and Dr Miller have a special place in my heart for your love and care during the obstacles I went through last year! The nursing staff was exemplary in helping aid me in caring for my, Stitch. I found them by recommendation at petco I believe. It’s hard and expensive to see an exotic vet! This place is amazing! They go above and beyond ! I recommended to my mom who just brought a kitten there also! I trust them! I recommend them! They are licensed to treat an array of animals! I will definitely use them in the future!
Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with this veterinary office under Dr. Hodges' care. During our initial visit, we noticed the doctor rushing (literally running) from room to room. When she finally entered our room, she appeared overwhelmed, frazzled, and had bird feces on her scrubs. We gave her the benefit of the doubt, assuming she was just having a bad day—something we all experience. The vet assistant then took my 9-pound dog to the back for routine blood work. The following day, my dog had a deep purple and red bruise the size of a grapefruit on her chest, which left me extremely alarmed. Concerned and unsure of what was happening, I rushed her to an emergency vet, where I was told it was a bruise. When I contacted Midwest and showed them pictures, they admitted it was jugular bruising from administration of the blood with the Vet Tech. My dog is incredibly calm/passive and has undergone routine blood work throughout her life as she receives dental cleanings under anesthesia every February, but we have NEVER experienced an outcome like this before. Dr. Hodges ASSURED me that during the next blood draw, she would personally oversee the procedure to prevent any further issues/injuries. However, as the appointment approached, I called to confirm the doctor's presence, only to find out that she had deferred the appointment to a technician despite my specific request and her previous promise. Given the history and my concerns, I was shocked by her unwillingness to take control of the situation. As a provider myself, I believe it is the doctor's responsibility to ensure this did not happen again. Due to these events, I no longer trust this office to care for my beloved pet, let alone place her under anesthesia. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my deeply troubling experience and how poorly this was handled.

Fantastic experience: This morning was my dog's first visit to Midway as well as mine. When we first entered the front desk staff greeted us with smiles. When we were called back to an exam room, the employees were very pleasant and thoroughly went over everything that my dog was there for (big shout out to Vanessa) and left to get an estimate before anything was done which I found very professional. Dr. Miller was wonderful with my dog. The entire experience was so pleasant and professional. I highly recommend this practice!!

Negative experience: Worst animal hospital, if I could give it 0 stars I would. All they care about is money more than the animal, and god forbid they bother to help without it. I lost my bird thanks to them, none of the doctors had any experience well enough with birds regardless they say they do. I asked for them to work with me on payment when I had nothing from being in the hospital breaking my arm then my bird being sick the same time. Worst part is I paid for them to help and it was excuse after excuse which I never got my money back. Its bad enough some of the receptionists except for one were not nice nor did they help the situation. Then the office manager doesn't even look at the notes before accusing you on the situation either, but you say sorry we can't help you. Most of that staff was manipulative, liars, and just plain rude. If you have an exotic animal go to Pet Care Vet. because they were very helpful along with Vital Vet trying to save him. Pet Care helped when I had no money on the first visit and paid it in full within a week as I promised but Midway wouldn't bother since money is too important. Either way I wouldn't trust any animal in there care, they should be shut down and honestly I hope it does. Karma comes around.
Fantastic experience: Midway always takes such excellent care of our exotic pets. We own two wonderful budgies and they are so gentle with them which makes the experience a little less stressful for everyone involved. No matter which vet has handled our little guys we have felt confident in their care. We are looking into getting some guinea pigs soon and I know they will be well cared for as well here at Midway. The receptionists and vet techs are also wonderful and so kind. They are good at giving you a heads up if the office will be closed for trainings, holidays, etc. We will bring our pets here for years to come.

The staff here and the doctors did a wonderful job with my dog today I was a nervous wreck as this was my first time having any procedure done for my dog, and I am so happy that I chose the hands of Midway with my baby boy Marley Dr. Hodges is amazing and everybody else is nice as well I highly Recommend MIDWAY to somebody looking for a vet and a trustworthy place to bring your pet for the best care… Midway vet will Be my go to vet for now on - for all of my pups veterinary needs

Her and all of the staff were very caring and friendly I’ve never really experienced this so much before because I’ve been going to Banfield for several years. They have never been this way with us, so I definitely appreciate you guys a lot and happy I came here My dog is needing some dental stuff done soon. I’m really really nervous about it -but I am trusting this to be the best place to take care of this for him I have a good feeling that he’s in great hands with Midway. They are very thorough. Very caring. Very patient. I did not feel rushed at all like I have felt going to other places… I definitely get good vibes from them whenever I need to come here I will always recommend this vet to anybody that I see asking for recommendations on a good vet to take their pet ❤️
Fantastic experience: Wonderful vet hospital. I’ve been taking my pets here for a few years now. I used to have all 3 pets at different vets but moved them all to this vet. Have had great experiences with multiple doctors at this hospital, they’ve all been wonderful.
Fantastic experience: This office saved my bird's life in an emergency. Love the avian doctor...he spent so much time explaining things...a rarity nowadays. Lovely staff. Professional. Reasonable prices...no gouging. I'm moving all of my animals here. It's old school service, competence and professionalism. I'm so grateful.
Fantastic experience: I took my rabbit here because he stopped drinking water and got a mild eye infection. All the staff there are super kind and helpful. The cost was reasonable too!
Fantastic experience: I was referred to Midway for an emergency visit for my rabbit Frankin who was in gastric stasis. The staff were efficient and caring, keeping me informed the entire time. Dr. Moore sat on the floor and examined Franklin while holding him in his lap. Very caring staff that put owners at ease. I highly recommend especially if you own an exotic pet (not cat or dog) because it is very hard to find vet practices where all veterinarians see all types of pets.

Negative experience: shameful shameful place. my poor puppy passed away after they misdiagnosed him with fleas and gave us the wrong appointment . i booked him an appointment for tuesday at 2pm and even called 10 minutes before the appointment to confirm! when i got there they said i actually had an appointment on wednesday!! how disgusting. and now my poor baby munchkin is dead because they misdiagnosed him AND made him miss his appointment. RIP MUNCHKIN

Negative experience: The first visit I had was okay, the only problem I had was the fact that I was unable to see my guinea pig the whole visit until we left. He had a bacterial infection in his nose, after some time I didn’t get a single call from the hospital checking up on him and he got worse with the medication. I tried to set an appointment on the app and Victoria called and left a voicemail saying to call so I can get an earlier date. When I called she said I could do TOMORROW at 8 which is October 1st, I know for a fact the phone calls are recorded and I know she said that. My guinea pig got worse, wheezing, hardly breathing and the infection spread to his eye and in my mind, he was going to be seen as soon as possible. I come in at 8 just for them to tell me that I have an appointment on October 2nd at 8, mind you I work and have school on Wednesdays so there is no way I did that. I asked them what I can do and they said they could check if there was anybody and even said I could pay the $120 to get him seen but she had no clue how long it would be. I had an appointment, I’m not even sure if my guinea pig is going to make it to the next appointment. I didn’t get an apology or anything, Victoria was right in front of me and claimed she did not remember doing that, look back at the recorded calls. My pet’s name is Rona

Fantastic experience: I’ve had nothing but positive experiences from Midway. I took my female rat here to get a tumor removed and Dr. Miller bought her six more months of life. Dr. Miller and the Midway staff also sent me a heartfelt letter in the mail when it was time to say goodbye to Luna, which meant a lot to me in the grieving process. Today, me and my girlfriend took our new doggie in to see Dr. Miller as well and she answered any questions and concerns we had and was very attentive. This is the only place I’ll take my animals!
