Fantastic experience: We have been taking all of our animals to Acredale for decades. We feel very confident in their treatment of them. The staff is very kind and understanding in all situations.

Fantastic experience: There are several Doctors that have seen (us) through the years and even though I don't go to them with all my pets inoculations. I do, however, go to them for the situations that are beyond the normal level of care. I have never been disappointed with the best treatment and communication to resolve any issues that brought me to them.

Fantastic experience: We have had to take our dog every month for a librela shot for her failing hips. They don't take appointments for this but are really fast and efficient and caring in getting us in and out quickly. We love the staff!!

Fantastic experience: For the second time used the text with a nurse procedure and was as pleased as my previous experience. The nurse contacts you , you explain your pet’s issue, nurse conveys issue to doctor and then nurse contacts you with treatment plan. My dog gets anxious with personal vet visits so she doesn’t have to go through her anxiety and possibly aggravating her condition.

Fantastic experience: My dogs and cats have seen three different vets at this practice, and I have been very happy with all of them. They are patient with all of my questions/concerns and are so loving towards the animals. I’ve never had a bad experience here.

Fantastic experience: Acredale Animal Hospital has taken very good care of Dolly. They followed up when she had parasites and kept at it until they had gotten rid of all of them. She is so small she can only have one shot at a time (2.6 lbs). They only charge a tech visit for her additional shots. I am well pleased with the care Dolly has received. The prices are very reasonable.

Positive experience: Nurse called and we discussed symptoms of my dog. She was very detailed and thorough ; she told me that she was going to relay all the information to a veterinarian. Five stars for her effort. Never received an update what to do with my pup,; bring her in for a visit or give some medication, or what. Am very disappointed, therefore I took off two stars for the rating.

Fantastic experience: After working in multiple veterinary practices over 20 years I have to say Acredale has been the best experience I have ever had with my own personal pets. Dr Klemm is amazing, compassionate, caring and the most awesome veterinarian I have ever met. He saved our four week old kitten when another veterinarian said there was no chance for survival and wanted to put her to sleep. Today Lizzy is a full grown, 1 year old, healthy girl that just needed someone to give her a chance and Dr Klemm was that person. I cannot express how highly I recommend Dr Klemm.

Fantastic experience: My nervous rescues have grown to trust a veterinary establishment! Acredale has somehow managed to make our frightened little buggers (not SO little, 45 and 65 lbs) feel comfortable enough that they willingly go into the building and see their doctor. I know it sounds like a low bar, but you have to understand what it was like before we started coming here. Let's just say they weren't havin' it before Acredale. In all seriousness, though, our pups and our family love this place. They are patient, responsible, and they aren't trying to sell me stuff we don't need. They also have a keen eye for what we do need. We're sticking with Acredale.

Fantastic experience: Acredale is the best vet in the area… They have taken care of my 14 year-old Allie her entire life. Dr Klemm and Dr Meador are both excellent veterinarians.

Positive experience: Since they asked for a review, I'll provide a feedback. The vets are always wonderful (Dr. Klemm is my dog's doctor). There was a couple of things that rubbed me the wrong way with the ladies on my recent visit. First, the office insisted I bring my 17 year old Lab because it's been over 9 months since her last visit even though my dog can't walk on her own and it's difficult to carry her in and out of the car, when I just wanted to talk to the vet about her UTI meds. Second, when I managed to being the dog there with a neighbor's help, a tech thought I was there to uthenize the dog just because they had to carry her in on an old ripped handheld stretcher and lay her on the floor. I was a little offended how she prejudged saying "for her quality of life". I have to lift the 60 lb dog by the waist to move/walk her because her back legs became paralyzed a few months back. Other than that, she is alert, eats and drinks well, hates diapers if I use it and waits till I walk her outside to let her do her business for the most part and wants to say hi to everyone who walks by. At the end, she got new antibiotics which I could've consulted over the phone without stressing the dog so much.

Fantastic experience: From the minute I called Acredale and spoke to the front desk it was evident that my pet and his health was just as important to them as it is to me! the front desk explained to me right away that there wasn’t any immediate appointments available, but that an urgent care nurse could call me for a consult to see if my pets need qualified for that new service. Very quickly after agreeing to the service I received a call from Jenna, the urgent care nurse. She listened intently and asked questions on my concerns and passed them on to the doctor. I received a call from the nurse with a follow up from the doctor who consulted on the case, and before I knew it, I was picking up a prescription, and my pet was on the road to recovery! This new service makes my heart happy. Thank you so much! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Acredale Animal Hospital is hands down THE BEST, I cannot imagine anyone else caring for my fur babies. The teams amazing staff of professionals go above and beyond to care for our furry family members.

Fantastic experience: As always, a trip with our kitty to Dr Alex at Acredale Great Bridge is like seeing family. Everyone is so pleasant and so helpful. Nissy snuggles into a soft bed and gets hugs from Dr Alex. It’s so comforting to know my baby is treated as if she was theirs!! I started coming in 1987 with Dr Gordon and the care has never changed!

Fantastic experience: My Elsa loves Dr. Klemm, and when she’s in good health and happy, I’m at peace. I’ve invariably had to take leave from work to take my angel to see one of her favorite humans, her vet, when she’s not feeling well. Upon my return to work, co-workers are all interested to know how everything went. After they receive a full report, the resounding response is some version of “That’s a good vet, hang on to him. They’re rare.” Dr. Klemm not only always knows what to do, but also explains the ‘why’ when my Elsa behaves and/or feels a certain way. While I’ve been a dog mom to my 10-year old rescue for 8 years, this is all new to me, as I’ve never had a dog of my very own. Bravo to Acredale Animal Hospital in Great Bridge for hiring the very best people to look after and educate us about our very best friends!

Fantastic experience: I love Acredale. I’ve been going there for over 20 years. Recently I took my rat terrier in bc he is is 13 and had an abscessed tooth last year. He was acting like his mouth hurt when he I tough his face. He also has a heart mumur. that needs to be monitored too. I drove all if the way to the Chesapeake Acredale office from VABeach because my favorite vet Dr Courtney is there! Plus the office isn’t as busy as the Kempsville Office. Dr Courtney is first of all an excellent vet but her love of animals and caring manor with my Skippy are wonderful. She remembered Skippy is allergic to chicken and brought special beef treats to share with him. My Skippy has been terrified of of going to the Veterinarian’s since he had a badly abscessed tooth removed in 2022 but after getting such gentle and kind treatment with Dr Courtney this week, he didn’t shake or try to claw his way out of the office. You just can’t go wrong with Dr Courtney. She is amazingly, knowledgeable, highly skilled and loves her furry patients and their owners.

Fantastic experience: Was greeted immediately as soon as we walked in the door. Was seen exactly at our appointment time. All staff members were extremely polite and respectful. The vet was very knowledgeable and was great with our puppy! Update! I moved over an hour from the great bridge office, yet we still take our puppies here! That is a testimony on how great they are. They treat us and our puppies as family! Great vets, vet techs, and staff! Amazing customer service every time we go!

Fantastic experience: Love them wont take Brady or Khaleesi anyplace else. They are all always honest and they don't do things that aren't necessary. Khaleesi just had her nares done and was fixed by Dr Meader and she did a awesome job. Dr Courtney Evans has always been wonderful, i just brought Brady back in 2 days ago on the 15th of April I cannot remember the name of the older dr he saw, but he was great with Brady whose having alot of issues being 13 now, i can not say enough about all the drs and the fabulous staff there! They are so caring, and loving to all the pets and like friends to me when I see them! Best place ever, you will not have any regrets taking you pets to Acredale Great Bridge or their other location lake james Dr Virginia beach.
