Fantastic experience: We've trusted 10Th street with both our elderly dogs. Unfortunately our beagle got cancer and we had to have him put down. 10th street showed us compassion and did not rush us. We will continue to take our sheltie to see Dr Stevens.

Fantastic experience: I took my 6-month-old kitten this week for a pre-op appointment. This is one of the very best first-visit experiences I have ever had. I was promptly greeted upon arrival. Paperwork was quick and easy to complete. I was scored to a treatment room with my kitten relatively quickly after completing the paperwork. I was told up front what the costs would be for each possible treatment option, which options were 'optional' and which were needed -- and why if they were needed. I felt the staff cared not only for my kitten but also for me. I will be back.

Negative experience: My experience with this Veterinary office has not been positive. Their communication is horrible and the office staff are rude. I have uploaded and sent records only to be asked for the same records multiple times. I’ve had appointments cancelled and when I emailed to inquire why? I get no response.

Dr. Martinez listens and provides outstanding care to pets and takes the time to explain the care he gives. You can see that the vet, as well as all employees, have a deep love for pets! Your pet will receive excellent care, and you, as a parent, will have a comprehensive plan to care for your pet at home. I am thankful to have such caregivers for my dog!

Negative experience: I wish the front desk staff was even half as good as the Vets and Vet techs who care for my dogs. They don’t relay accurate messages, and if anything about your visit isn’t perfectly smooth, they compound the problem with condescending remarks. Every response from them to virtually every question starts with a long and unfriendly explanation of how busy the vets and clinic is- I suppose I prefer to take my dogs somewhere that DOES have the time for us. Outside if that- (which unfortunately is part of every visit) the actual vets and techs are really awesome. I’m looking for recommendations on other clinics.

Fantastic experience: I had a great first visit with a stray dog that we recently adopted, they quoted me costs early on, since we bring a number of dogs there, and treated our dog with wonderful care. The reception staff, Dr. Stephens and the vet assistant all did a great job. We love all the vets and staff there, and my only complaint is that I wish it could be more affordable. Then again, often you get what you pay for (or don’t pay for). Blessings to all the staff at North Tenth Animal Hospital! Your warmth and care is always appreciated!

Fantastic experience: Started going after discovering a cyst on my dog's back. The staff was very friendly, we were seen and they offer multiple options. Soon after my dog's leg was dislocated from her hip, they referred me to the Blue Pearl in SA. Just had another visit recently for a post op check up, and she is doing very well . Very happy with the care I receive at this location.

Fantastic experience: My puppies first visit at the vet. And I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. All the staff was great and don’t even get me started on the veterinarian she was absolutely PERFECT !!! You can tell she loves her job and is not just there for a paycheck. They have ALWAYS been there for me when we needed them even on hard times as well when my beautiful baby had passed and I took her to get cremated and they were just so amazing with me and cared and was gentle with her and gave me all the time I needed to say my goodbyes to my Lexie, they are just far the best clicic and all the staff is just amazing! Fantastic experience: I wish I was there under better circumstances. But unfortunately we had yo get my kitten put to sleep because he contracted panleukopenia. The vet, Dr.Matrinez, was very kind to us. Explained every process, and made sure we werent overpaying for everything. He didnt make us feel rushed, and he didnt push us to make any decisions we didnt want to. We will be seeing him again as our regular vet.

Fantastic experience: we have two beautiful Grey Huskies Neo and Kanna...we took them to the clinic because they were severely scratching and biting through their skin...they were miserable-- this happened so quickly--we took the day off and rushed them to the Vet emergently...They were seen immediately, treated for fleas and ticks, their inflammation and allergic reaction were treated with steroids and their infection and open wounds with antibiotics... We were expecting to pay some crazy bill amount but the bill was quite reasonable...we want to thank you guys for all your kindness, your professionalism, and to the prompt attention given to our Fur Babies... your Business deserves MORE THAN 5 STARS!!!

Fantastic experience: Our experience at North 10th Animal Hospital was excellent. Their schedule availability was great, we were able to get in right away, and the wait time was minimal. We were seen within 10–15 minutes. Dr. Chavez examined our Labrador and was a wonderful listener. She took our concerns seriously, explained all of our options, and was very thorough. Our lab ultimately needed surgery, which he received the very next day with Dr. Stevens. Throughout the entire process, the team kept us updated and reassured us with their clear communication and willingness to answer every question we had. Our lab is now home safe and acting like his usual crazy self. We are very thankful to everyone at the clinic for their care and dedication. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I feel like the worked performed was good but the issue I have is the estimate didn’t match what we actually paid for. It was roughly 1k more then what was estimated.

Fantastic experience: When I got to the office, on Monday, the girl at the front desk said my appointment was for Thursday! She was so nice, she said no worries, let me go check with Dr. Peacock and see if she can fit you in. I only waited about 10-15 minutes. Dr. Peacock examined Lola, my dog, asked about her general health and diet,and gave her the injections. She was very informative and nice with my baby. Always have a great experience at North10th Veterinary Clinic!!

Fantastic experience: Our sweet Nala was recently diagnosed with kidney disease on Friday. We brought her in after noticing she seemed unusually tired for about a day and a half, and before we knew it, we were facing this heartbreaking diagnosis. From the very beginning, Dr. Chavez and the entire team at North Animal Hospital have been by our side every step of the way. Nala is currently hospitalized, and Dr. Chavez has been calling us twice a day with updates something that means the world to us. Knowing that our girl is receiving the best care possible brings us so much comfort during such a difficult time. My husband and I are absolutely heartbroken, but we truly could not get through this journey without the compassion, dedication, and kindness of this amazing team. Every staff member we’ve encountered has treated Nala like their own, and that kind of care and empathy is something we’ll never forget. Thank you, Dr. Chavez and everyone at North Animal Hospital, for taking care of not just our fur babies, but the families who love them. We’re taking this one appointment and one step at a time and we’re so grateful to have you walking this path with us. ❤️

My dog is reactive with other dogs and I was able to wait in my car while they got her room ready. My appointment was at 4 and I was in the room by 4:10. The vet saw us shortly after and was so helpful. Cost is relative reasonable compared to other places. Everyone was super knowledgeable and helpful. All my questions were answered and I left feeling confident about my pets health. Can’t recommend them enough!!

Fantastic experience: I have never had a better experience with a vet in all my years as a pet parent. We were going through the very challenging and difficult task of acquiring international health certificates for our pets. Not only did they get us through the process, but their entire staff jumped into the effort to coordinate receipt of the required documentation in a timely manner. This process by nature is stressful, but they helped manage our fears and anxieties in a comforting, supportive and processional manner. You just will not find a better group of talented and caring folks. They really went way above and beyond to help us and our beloved fur family. ❤️

Negative experience: I’ve come here to bring in another pet of mine and I’ve always had great care. The reason why this is 2 stars is because I feel as though they didn’t see my situation as urgent this time around. At the beginning of last week I brought in a kitten of mine who was 3 1/2 months old, they diagnosed her with FIP and said it was fatal if I didn’t treat her. I made the decision to treat her no matter no much it would cost. The Dr worked with me and made the prescription and said the techs would call the pharmacy as soon as they can so I could place the order and have the medicines shipped to my house. I feel as though the techs never made it a priority to call the pharmacy. I made countless calls pleading and asking as to when the techs would call in my kittens medicines because I wanted to receive them before the weekend and I didn’t want to have to wait longer than I had to. I was told they were busy and I’d have to wait. Finally after 2 1/2 days later on a Thursday I got a call back telling me they were going to call in my kittens medication. I paid extra for 1-2 day shipping as I wanted to start her treatment ASAP. My kitten was already bloated with fluid in her belly. I still ended up having to wait a week for her medications to arrive. While waiting I noticed my kitten was peeing herself, so I took her back in on Monday to see if she needed more fluid drained out. The Dr drained her out and said they wanted to drain more the following day as she was being feisty and she didn’t allow them to take as much fluid as they liked. When I got home after the visit, the medicines finally arrived and I gave them to her excited that she was finally being treated. But after 3 hours she started do decline. Her legs gave out on her, she was pooping and peeing herself and was breathing very hard. She started seizing and I had to watch her pass away the next morning. I called the vet asking what could have caused it. I wasn’t sure if it was too much medication for her body. The vet called and told me that maybe the draining and the medication was too much for her body to handle. I got feedback from others saying that I shouldn’t have drained her. As I’m writing this I can’t help but feel like I failed her and I shouldn’t have taken her to get her belly drained. But I wish the vet would’ve told me. They mentioned sometimes clients come in every two weeks. They didn’t think much would come out of her but they’d still try to get fluid out. I wish they hadn’t drained her considering the call after my kittens passing, the vet said the drainage probably put her into shock. I just feel as though if that was a possibility then why do it? I brought her in to see if that was something that needed to be done. She passed away a week later after her diagnosis and I feel like I failed her. At the same time I have to be honest, my family and I weren’t impressed with the lack of urgency from the staff trying to get my kitten her medicines. I understand they get busy and there’s other pets that need to be treated but my kitten had a virus that was fatal. I have so many what ifs as to what I could’ve done different but at least my baby isn’t in pain suffering anymore.

Fantastic experience: I recently found a puppy and went to see if the puppy was microchipped and the staff fell in love with the puppy and showered her with affection. I was able to get an appointment that same day to check the puppy for worms since I wanted her and my home safe. Again, staff was caring and efficient. I’ve been taking my pets here for years and trust them to provide great care. My questions or concerns are answered and I know that they will get back to me as soon as possible when I have more.

Our dog Grace recently had surgery to remove bladder stones, and the entire experience, from pre-op to recovery, was handled with so much professionalism, compassion, and care. Dr. Stevens is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. She walked us through the entire process, answered all our questions, and treated Grace like her own. Grace’s incision is healing beautifully, and she’s more playful and energetic than she’s been in a long time. It’s like we got our happy little pup back! The entire team at North 10th went above and beyond to make sure Grace was safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m so thankful! Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-quality veterinary care

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed and concerned for my Dog’s safety. I went in to the vet clinic specifically to get a Cytopoint injection for my dog, as she’s had success with it before. However I was told I could no longer take her, unless I agreed to a rabies vaccine. I was hesitant but agreed due to the fact that my dog really needed her allergy shot. Not once was I warned that my dog could have an allergic reaction to the rabies vaccine. That same night she began to have a severe reaction - her throat was closing up, and I had to rush her to the pet hospital. It was terrifying and could have ended very badly. The next day I called the clinic and all the vet could say was that it was a little slip up. That level of carelessness and responsibility is unacceptable. I trusted them with my dog’s life and that is now broken beyond repair. I will never be returning and I highly encourage others with pets to be very cautious.

Fantastic experience: My dog, Shadow, has always been seen there since he was a puppy. Now he is considered a senior dog and still loves to go there to see everyone. We have always had a wonderful result from the Vets and Staff when we are there. They are very professional, courteous and of course they show they have empathy. Fantastic experience: **Update as of July 2025.** Still love this place. Dr. Chavez was amazing as usual and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Year 3 of finding our vet home and I would not trust anyone else with my little loves. **June 2024** My babies are my literal world and I love that this staff has never made me feel negative or annoying for being my Type A self. I've seen 3 different doctors and each of them have their own amazing work ethic and bedside manner. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Carson after my usual doctor called in sick and she was PHENOMENAL. I felt extremely heard and my dogs were less nervous than usual. I really appreciated her calm demeanor with them. This place is so worth it and the front girls (especially Heather) are always very accomodating with my scheduling needs. Thank you for treating my kiddos as special as they are!

He has really thrived under their care, he was itty bitty 1lb baby and in nine months s grown to a Giant 2.9lbs Big Boy! I was a little disappointed when I called in for the appointment cause I also asked for a nail trimming front paws only. I was told they don't do nail trimmings on weekends. I called following day hoping for someone else to answer. I asked if I could add the nail trimming to the Saturday appointment and she said I was more than welcomed to do so. Fantastic experience: The staff at North 10th has been great taking care of our babies! We recently lost one and they were great in understanding our loss and taking care with compassion. The wait time is normal. They have a lot of customers because they are so good so it may take a few days to get an appointment. We are very pleased with the aid have given our dog who is getting on in years.

Fantastic experience: I had a great first visit. What I would like to mention right off the bat is how fast my dog and I were called in! I have yet to experience anything that quick at a human or animal doctor! Secondly, the vet and staff were attentive and friendly. I was listened to about all my concerns for my furry son. I was not dismissed and everything I said was upheld. I didn’t feel like I was taking anyone’s time. Lastly, I was happy with the outcome and prognosis of my animal. We were taken care of and the cost of the visit was not bad at all! I highly recommend this hospital.

Fantastic experience: Great staff! I love our vet and so does our rambunctious Lab. Somehow, they manage to keep him calm and happy the whole time he’s there. It’s easy to schedule visits online as well as calling up and talking to the nice humans working there who also love pets. We couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic experience: Well someone had the perfect experience for her first year check up! Sofie Ella has been treated like a princess since I took her last year as a 5 week old kitten! They have always been calm, convenient, courteous and gracious to my pet and I. The universe’s cat distribution system just brought me a new kitten, Emilie Piper, and we have our first appt just three days after this visit. I hope to have many good future visits with my fur babies.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Allegra was great with our dog and presented options with the rationale for each and the plan if tests were positive. She is open to answer any questions and makes everyone, including Hailey, feel comfortable. The staff is wonderful too!. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: This is probably the best vet we have been to. We just moved to the area and were looking for a vet and found this one. Our pet was handled with such care and love. He was so calm with the Dr. and she (Dr.) was so gentle with him. 10/10 service I am so happy we chose this vet.
