Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Cross Creek Animal Hospital. What started as a very stressful and emotional situation with my dog turned into an experience where I felt supported, informed, and truly cared for. My dog Patience injured her dew claw, and as a dog parent it was really scary for me. From the moment I reached out, the staff made space for us and worked to get her seen quickly. That alone meant a lot because when your pet is hurt, time and reassurance matter so much. I especially want to shout out Christa, the veterinary assistant, who was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly warm, patient, and informative during the entire process. I was under a lot of stress and worried about my dog, but Christa took the time to explain what was happening, answer my questions, and reassure me that I had done the right thing by bringing Patience in. She also affirmed that I’m taking great care of my dog, which meant more than she probably knows in that moment. Her kindness and knowledge truly helped calm me down. Dr. Shannon Poole also took great care of my baby. She handled Patience with such care and professionalism, and I felt confident that my dog was in good hands. It was clear that both the doctor and the team genuinely care about the animals they treat. Another thing that meant a lot to me was how accommodating the clinic was. I don’t drive, and the team was understanding about my situation. They were kind enough to start Patience’s procedure as soon as possible and allowed me to wait there instead of having to travel back and forth. That level of consideration saved me both time and money, and it showed real compassion for their clients. From last night’s emergency stress to this morning’s care, the entire experience was exactly what I needed in a first-time situation like this. I felt listened to, respected, and supported the whole time. If you’re looking for a veterinary clinic where the staff truly care—not just about the animals but also about the people who love them—I highly recommend Cross Creek Animal Hospital. This is a wonderful clinic! 2/27/26....Seeing Dr. Love today for an under the weather 8 yr old. She is just as kind, thorough, and compassionate as Dr. Weatherman. Our pups all love them. Experiencia negativa: 300 dollars to get a few vaccines, an ear cleaning and ear mite solution. Neutering would have been 200 additional. Vet offered little guidance and information for the cat I brought there. This is clearly a clinic with profit in mind foremost as they felt the need to lie to me that the booster vaccine was already paid for at the initial visit and didn't disclose they would make us pay for an additional ear cleaning on the booster shot appointment. I understand none of this is legally required to be told to us, but the fact they think they shouldn't have to is reason enough for me to never return.

I found a stray cat in my ceiling and took her in to get tests done to make sure I could keep her since I have other animals at home and the staff was so kind and so gentle with her. We were able to get her spayed and tested the same day they and answered all of my questions on the spot. They were very knowledgeable and followed up after her surgery. I’m not from the area so I wasn’t sure which vet to go to but I had a great experience with Cross Creek and would definitely go back!
Experiencia negativa: I wanted to share my experience. I have a dog that goes to daycare there. Been for over a year. I thought the hospital services while at the daycare were a great idea. Not so. During the past 3-5 "visits" during his daycare for shots, fecal etc. No one picked up on that he was not on heartworm meds. Ultimately, this is my responsibility. But how can an entire staff doing annuals and shot/medication reviews, not notice, no heartworm? So guess what he gets hookworm. On SEP 10th, daycare informed me of this test result. That night the hospital had no info and could not write nor fill a prescription for treatment. Next morning, same response. SO, Katie tells me I may have to wait 24-48 hrs to get a script filled. ?? Now, I was going to be 3 days to be able to start treatment from a positive test? Weird, I think this should be quickier, call me crazy....now lets move forward to today, 7 DAYS LATER. Jessica calls me to explain the results of the test. I forgot all about the test, I got OTC meds on the 10th to start treating it. Please fill the script and close my account. If you would like to not get your receords reviewed and you are willing to wait a week or so for treatments to start, this is the place! Daycare - great spot for care.

They are extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable, caring just anything and everything and beyond what you could expect from your veterinarian the tech’s and the people that work at the front as well!! Our pet was sick and had been throwing up. They took this very seriously and made sure that we could get in ASAP! Again, thank you guys all of you, Dr Pool, Sam, Katie B, Stephanie and if I missed anyone, I do apologize! Stephanie worked extremely hard with the pet insurance that we have to make sure that we weren’t gonna have to pay anything extra. WOW a veterinarian office that isn’t worried much about the money. They’re worried about your pet. this is extremely rare to find!!!! Stephanie definitely did a lot of work to make sure that everything payment wise was correct! And again to all the doctors, the whole staff thank you guys! You guys went way beyond anything we have ever seen a veterinarian do!! They even called after we had brought her home to make sure she was doing OK and told me what to do in case she wasn’t. We are so thankful for you guys and very thankful that we found you! And for anybody reading this if you have any doubt in this office And everyone that is working here, please understand that they are doing everything that they can and they truly do care about you and your pets!! When our pet was in their hands and we had to leave her for a bit, we got updates from them to let us know what was going on. We definitely Trust them! Plus, I would advise anybody to look at North Carolina veterinary medical board to verify your vet and to see if there’s been any disciplinary action on them. We did lose two of our pets do to trusting the wrong people. That OFFICE was Riverbark Dr. Dale Brown, and Dr. Jenni two of our pets are now gone because we didn’t do our homework and check them out. **UPDATE!!! We called last week September 6 to try and get medication for our fur baby. We were informed that our account was locked back from our previous visit in July for $89.49 and they had started charging interest so it was a little over $100 now we have pet insurance and we had to pay out-of-pocket 700 Ish dollars. No one had ever called to let us know that we owed anything and the $89.49 was for our insurance to pay and they did! But again no one called to let us know that there was a balance not happy with that at all, not happy with them locking Our account to where we couldn’t do anything we couldn’t pick up medication. We couldn’t have took our pet if it needed help for anything they were worried about the money!! I’m really disgusted at that point at this point! So I got a hold of the insurance the pet insurance that we have and the check was cashed by Cross creek animal hospital on August 12, 2025, obviously Dawn the office manager and Heather fell to do their job correctly and just decided to lock our account and cause a complete inconvenience for us And it could’ve been more serious if we needed to take our pet to see them for any kind of issues that they may have been having because they locked their account and couldn’t tell us anything and we couldn’t do anything we couldn’t pay for anything we couldn’t do nothing! So I definitely recommend for Dawn the office manager and Heather to definitely look into everything before you lock someone’s account and also to at least try and reach out to the person that you believe Owes any money to you let them know what’s going on so everything can be handled not let this go on for months and months!! My feelings are completely conflicted about this and disgusted! So we went about a week without medication for a pet because of this issue and because of the overlook on Dawn the office manager and Heather that the check was cashed August 12, 2025! So I definitely feel that money is the number one issue! Because as I said, somewhere office manager Dawn And Heather cannot figure out that they had received payment from our pet insurance and that was more important to them than our pets health. We are disgusted!

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t praise Cross Creek Animal Hospital enough! They provide excellent service and they really do care about the animals they treat. I brought them a stray cat that I’d been calling Tango. I’d been feeding him for a while, but one day I noticed that he’d gotten into a fight with another male cat in the neighborhood and was limping, so I was worried that he had a broken leg. I decided to catch him and bring him to the vet so that they could examine his injury, patch him up and neuter him as well. I was able to capture him, but when I brought him to the office he freaked out and hid under a car in the parking lot. The staff at Cross Creek were so understanding despite all the drama I was bringing to their office. Even though it was a 100-degree day, they came out into the parking lot to help me catch him. Unfortunately, he darted into the wooded area behind the office, and at that point I figured I would never see him again. I told them that if he came around and they were able to catch him, I’d be willing to pay for any treatment. They said that they would keep an eye out and let me know if they caught him. I thought that they were just being nice and that they had no intention of looking for that cat, but to my surprise, six weeks after watching him dart off into the woods, Cross Creek called me to tell me that they’d caught Tango, that his injury had healed and that they needed to know if I still wanted him neutered! I did! And they did it! And I was able to pick him up and return him to his circle of cat friends in my neighborhood. My first successful TNR, thanks to Cross Creek Animal Hospital! Now he is back to relaxing and enjoying his life…but he still gets into fights from time to time with his nemesis. :/

Cross Creek Animal Hospital exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, efficient, and incredibly kind. The level of care my dog, Eleanor, received was exceptional. Dr. Victoria Vaughn was especially wonderful—thorough, gentle, and truly attentive to Eleanor’s needs. Not only was the service top-notch, but the pricing was refreshingly reasonable compared to what I had been paying. While I still hold great respect for Dr. Dale Brown and the legacy of care at Riverbark, the steep prices made it hard to continue. Cross Creek delivered compassionate, quality veterinary care without the sticker shock. I’m so grateful to have found a place that treats both pets and their humans with such warmth and professionalism. Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: Called about getting this abandoned cat scanned for a microchip, they said sure bring him up & call once you’re here. I called once arrived & they seemed confused like we didn’t just speak 5 mins prior, said they would do it from my car?? I said he was a little irritated as a warning and got an immediate sarcastic “well I’ll only do it if he’s nice to me”.. lady comes out & immediately laughed with a her stuck up attitude “nooo, I don’t wanna do that, he’s gonna bite me”… bro.. I just told you he’s been abandoned & he’s irritated, so yeah, don’t come here if you’re simply trying to check for a microchip .. ridiculous and a waste of time. Edit since I can’t reply to response: Of course he was irritated, i assume most animals that come there are. & the fact yall thought doing it from the car was a good idea was the first red flag. Every other vet I’ve spoken to was so confused when I said that’s what you were trying to do. Maybe consider how you should handle these situations for future situations. I understand safety concerns but you should be more than capable of handling these situations, especially since you’re the professionals.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been going to CCAH for over 25 years. The care is always the best. Everyone is friendly from the moment you walk into the door until you leave. Your pets will be cared for as if it is one of their own. We moved an hour away and still feel the long drive with screaming cats and panting dogs is 100 percent worth it. Their compassion in difficult times is above and beyond. Even my super anxious, people selective dog is comfortable at CCAH. If there were more than five stars, they would earn all of them.
Experiencia fantástica: Five stars isn’t enough. This clinic wasn’t even my regular vet, but when my dog suddenly declined, they were the only ones who let me come in as a walk-in. They took me seriously, treated both me and my dog with such compassion, and gently helped confirm what I already feared — that it was time to say goodbye. The way they handled everything in those final moments meant the world to me. Because of their kindness, professionalism, and care during such an emotional time, I’ll be switching to them for my other dog. I’ll never forget what they did for us.

Had to use them for euthanasia for my sweetie and we felt the love and compassion they have for humans and dogs. Hands down best vet clinic around. Experiencia negativa: One month ago we brought our newly adopted 6 month old puppy, wrangler, to cross creek to be established with this clinic, like my other 9 month old puppy, Chevy, Dr Vaughan brings to our attention that wrangler has a broken front tooth, and plaque build up resulting in his stinky breath that I had mentioned. My spouse and I as well as Dr Vaughan discuss the pricing and having the procedures done together at no additional cost, having wrangler go under anesthesia once for both procedures We receive a quote for the two services along with the cost of everything needed such as materials, and medication. We had a month to consider the pricing, and our other options and decided it sounded good and decided to book both appointments, both for April 1st. Come the day of the appointment I arrive with wrangler and I approach both ladies at the reception desk. I give them my folder full of all of my dog’s documents so they could easier locate all that they need. They take out the neuter voucher and the quote I was given. One of the ladies takes the quote, whispers to the other and left with it. As I’m waiting to sign paperwork the lady who had taken the quote comes back and tells me that he is too young for one of the dental services. I ask because I am unclear if they mean his tooth extraction, and mention he has a broken tooth. She goes “oh?! He has a broken tooth!?” I’m sent to a room and waiting for a vet tech She comes in, explains that they think wrangler is actually too young for both procedures (dental and neuter) and presents me sheet of paper, a new quote, the low amount totally $160 more than the original quote. This charge is for “additional time” for the tooth extraction and is based on how long it takes the DR to pull it. But if wrangler is under the anesthesia why is that a charge? He won’t be awake? She tells me with a snark that I received a call and voicemail but I did not. They called my spouse who has no access to his phone for the entire month of March and April. They did not call the secondary (my) number which they had and could have easily contacted. That is why it’s a secondary number. Why would you EVER, wait to tell someone that you don’t think they need the services/procedures A DAY before they’re scheduled to be done? I don’t even have access to the contents of the voicemail. Also why would you go back on what your own Associate Veterinarian already pushed out to a client? Unprofessional. I received a call AFTER my review The hospital director is kind but it does not make up for the inconsistency I experienced. I rely on consistency when my spouse is gone for months at a time, When I request off work, and when it comes to my 4 legged family members. I think this is a 5 star clinic as I have left a 5 star review months ago. But I think I received treatment that doesn’t meet the mission of cross creek.
Experiencia fantástica: I cannot speak noting but great things about our experience with cross creek animal hospital. Unfortunately, our elderly dog took a turn for the worse and we had to have her put to sleep. Our regular vet's office was closed, and we found Cross Creek Animal Hospital on google search. I am so fortunate that we did, given the horrible situation and we were not clients, the staff, the doc welcomed us with open arms. They made this horrible situation as comfortable for us and Cher as they could. We were able to spend our last moments saying good-bye without being rushed, everyone was so caring, and Dr. Short was exceptional with Cher with her last minutes. I cannot thank Cross Creek Animal hospital enough.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a patient of this vet for 7+ years. While the care is usually pretty good, although they like to upcharge and try to upsell for things and the people you encounter at checkout are hit or miss, I have never had any real complaints and was a loyal client with 4 of my dogs. They are open Mon-Sat and are always booked on Saturdays, my day off, so I have to make my appts during the week, no big deal. My dog was scheduled to have surgery there this Tuesday and he swallowed something he was having issues with. I called over the weekend on Saturday to get him in and spoke with Katie, who I'm assuming spoke with the vets on duty. They told me they could not get him in, to take him to the ER. I did, and it cost me about $3,000. The person I spoke to on the phone, Katie, said "What do you want me to do? I can cancel his surgery for your this week but we can't see him today" When I called back this morning to cancel his surgery and take him to another vet, I was told that the vet had overbooked themselves. I called about 30 mins after they had opened. No apology, no trying to find a solution. Due to their lack of compassion for a long time patient, I am finding a new vet for all 3 of my dogs.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my Chihuahua/Jack Russel in to be seen and the front desk staff was awesome in helping me take care of all of my dogs needs and was very professional and super nice…And made sure we were up to date for a very reasonable price.. Definitely found our forever Vet!
Experiencia positiva: Staff is friendly, nurses are lovely. However, I am giving them 3 stars because when I asked questions to the front staff, they don't seem to know the answers. I am getting ready to go to Hawaii with 3 dogs and trying to get all the necessary things done. The first time I came about 1 month ago, I was told to talk to Megan because she is the one that handles all overseas testing requirements. Megan is lovely and she did answered the questions I had at that time. I came today for another appointment, and I asked another staff member “how would I know when the results arrive? Do I get a copy by mail?” She said she didn’t know, and that she would leave a note for the manager to call me. I just think, all staff members should be trained on the same thing. They shouldn’t rely on 1 person to be the subject matter expert.

The front desk welcomed them, loved them & played with them, which made this dog-mom’s heart feel more at ease with it being the first time visit. Dr. Weatherman did a fantastic job with my 6Y old & my concerns I had with her. As well as my 6M old & handled her hyper pterodactyl golden stage very well. I am incredibly grateful to have found this vet!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Short is amazing and handled my rescue kitten, Fudge, with care. We had to put him down, and it was extremely hard for us, and she was so understanding. We did have an issue on multiple occasions with the person trying to get us set up with an urn, as she was dismissive and even rude at the end while we were still teary eyed. Overall, I would highly recommend this vet and in particular Dr. Short, but management should look into who is remaining sensitive while people are losing their pets/friends.

First visit has gone exceptionally well and staff did a great job in giving me information on what to expect and continuing care for my girl. Recently my husband and I rescued a kitten that has had a LOT of medical needs (like been to the vet 5 times this month) so we’ve been in a lot more than our usual once or twice a year. The staff are incredible and so understanding. They’re kind and patient, they’re friendly and helpful, and they’ve been so encouraging throughout all of the recovery for our newest family member. I felt so good about my phone call that I can’t WAIT to bring my little fur baby in to meet the staff. Jess went OUT OF HER WAY to make sure that all of my questions were answered and that I felt confident about their facility and the love that my cat would be shown. She was able to get us in for an exam on short notice and was able to get us squared away for future boarding. I will update my review after physically going in but I’m sure that the environment will go hand-in-hand with the outstanding service and help that I received today! Thanks to her keen eye and quick action, we were able to address the issue right away. Her attention to detail and genuine care for Missy’s well-being made all the difference. Dr. Poole has since confirmed the problem, and we’re moving forward with surgery as soon as possible. I am so thankful to Mrs. Annette for being such a compassionate and observant groomer. Experiencia fantástica: Just recently took my cat Jordy in for vomiting and asthma. I was really worried and anxious but the staff was very nice and made me feel tranquil. They have two separate entries, one for dogs and one for cats which made me feel better because my cat is very anxious around dogs. Dr. Shannon Poole and the staff were all so sweet. They treated my baby with lots of care and patience. I got the medication that my cat needed and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this vet facility. Very professional and nice.

Experiencia negativa: A little over two weeks ago, on July 29, my brother took my Mom and her 17-year-old dog, Ranger, to Cross Creek Animal Hospital on Skibo Road in Fayetteville, NC, where Ranger had been a patient for years. Ranger had several health issues, and although it was heartbreaking to have to make the decision, he no longer had a good quality of life. My brother paid for him to be euthanized and cremated with ashes returned, and for a paw print made in clay. When Mom got home, she sent her vet a private FB message thanking her and asking her to keep Ranger’s leash and collar so she could pick them up when the ashes were ready. Her vet received the message and responded. She was aware of Mom’s wishes and how upset she was. Today, Mom went by herself to pick up Ranger’s ashes, and a staff member brought her the clay paw print. When she asked about the rest, they said there were no ashes and showed her this forged contract that was NOT signed by her or my brother. Someone in the office signed next to "Client signature" (I called; they were uncooperative and would not name) and also selected “communal cremation,” which meant Ranger was thrown in with a bunch of other animals and essentially discarded. Neither my mother nor my brother was ever shown this document until my mom returned for the ashes. Keep this reckless disregard, insensitivity, and dishonesty in mind before you choose them for your veterinary needs. This mistake can't be undone and she didn't even get an apology. These people are heartless and we have filed a complaint with the NC Veterinary Medical Board.
