Experiencia fantástica: After cat suddenly showed med symptoms in evening,we knew kitty needed screen by dr. Omg -what 2 do. Regular vet posts er #. We went without a call. Placed immediately in room ( too cold - lol-) . Dr treated with care and appropriate recommendations. Kitty not as sick as feared. She did sleep all day from injection. Relief.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing emergency vet hospital. Highly recommend. They helped my kitty tonight after he unfortunately got a some fish hooks caught in his paw. Very fast was in and out and very reasonable prices. Thank you!!

Experiencia fantástica: My baby didn’t actually get a chance to be seen here due to an emergency they had on their end that took more priority. That said, they were extremely kind and communicative throughout that process as well as transparent. While I ultimately made the decision to go elsewhere, it was not due to lack of customer service or anything like that. There were just other babies in more need at the time and I understood and respected that. I was also out of town so the fact that they were willing to consider taking my baby was still a very kind gesture. Would consider coming here again if I’m back out of state.

Experiencia fantástica: Huge thank you to all the staff for your care and compassion for our small dogs. We had an emergency at 5:00 a.m. on a Saturday and were fortunate enough to find Points East. While it was expensive, I don’t think it was unreasonable. I hope we never need them again but in the event of an emergency, I highly recommend Points East.

Experiencia negativa: I was very disappointed by the lack of professionalism we experienced at the front desk during our visit. Upon arrival, I was instructed to leave my 6-month-old puppy in the car (while it was 75 degrees outside) and return inside to complete the intake paperwork. While I completely understand that she needed to remain outside until she could be tested for parvo, I later learned that the forms could have been completed on my phone, which would have allowed me to stay in the car with my puppy. After completing the forms, one staff member delayed collecting the iPad from me, choosing instead to assist a customer who approached the desk after me and answer the phone—despite two other staff members being present. The interaction felt disorganized and reckless. After submitting the forms, I was told that someone would come to the car “soon” to collect a parvo sample. After waiting in the car for over an hour, I called the front desk to ask for an update. That was when I was informed that the wait time would be 6–8 hours. It would have been extremely helpful if that estimate had been communicated when we initially checked in so we could make an informed decision about our options. Aside from briefly describing our puppy’s symptoms on the intake form, no one gathered additional medical history (such as duration of symptoms or potential risk factors) while we waited. I completely understand that emergency clinics prioritize more critical cases, and we were prepared to wait. However, clear communication about expectations and timelines would have made a significant difference. Ultimately, we decided to bring our puppy to Holly Springs instead, where the experience was significantly better from the moment we arrived. I cannot speak to the quality of the medical care at Points East, as we only interacted with the front desk staff. However, based on this experience alone, we do not plan to seek care here again. Bringing a pet in for emergency care is already stressful - feeling dismissed and uninformed by staff during the intake process alone is far from beneficial.

Experiencia negativa: Tried this place out despite all the negative reviews due to it being the closest in my area and I now understand why it has a bad rep. Unless your pet is actively dying good luck being seen by a provider. Waited 3 hours before I left and decided to just make an appointment with a real vet clinic. Don’t waste your time

Sunny Park Publicada en Google 3 months ago

Experiencia negativa: Front desk staff are unprofessional (3/1/26), when we brought our pup they wanted to have us wait in the car which is understandable while they want to rule out parvo before being seen, however we were also asked to leave our pup alone in the car in 75 degree weather in order to fill out intake forms. Additionally, after filling out the forms, we waited for the parvo screening (which would be low risk given the pup is fully vaccinated) we had reached out to see when they might be able to do that and was told it may take at least 6 hours. This was all before any triage screening on what was actually going on with our pup. I understand that there can be more urgent cases to get to first but not initially being told about the wait time for triage and getting unsafe advice about leaving the pup alone in the car felt very unprofessional. Throughout the course of interaction, the front desk staff were abrasive and seemed unempathetic to our concern.

Experiencia negativa: Got here at 630am, now leaving to go to our regular vet. Filled out all forms before arriving, arrived with one other person waiting!!! Still not seen by this place, the best they could do is say wait 4 hours more, go to another ER vet or call our vet provider!! Don't go if your pet is sick, just wait for the vets office.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience at this emergency vet. Brought my dog in at midnight because he was having an allergic reaction and they were able to get him seen and treated in a reasonable time. They didn’t try to push any unnecessary tests or labs. Staff was great!

Experiencia fantástica: I was in a panic on February 20th late in the afternoon after every vet was closed. Was told about this urgent care after hours. It was a little difficult to find, but that was our fault because we have problems with 295. We had just picked up a seven week old German shorthaired pointer from Virginia that day. Had been out playing with him in the yard brought him in and something had bit him on his stomach. The front desk personnel actually had to stay on the line to help us find The building. She was absolutely miraculous and wonderful and kind. The building was immaculate and the staff was absolutely wonderful. I could not have asked for better care and compassion

Experiencia negativa: This place is terrible. I came here some time ago for one of my fur babies. A lady came in with her puppy, who had been attacked by another dog. To make a long story short, one of the male vet techs came out laughing and said, "Who done died?" The rest of the staff burst out laughing. Needless to say, don’t bring your fur babies here at all.

Experiencia fantástica: We took our husky in for a mysterious back leg injury. This staff was very friendly, very informative. The place is amazingly clean. And overall, very happy with the service. We received.

Rebecca Sears Publicada en Google 3 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: I had to bring in my almost 20 year old cat recently due to her limping and dragging her leg….I was very nervous about taking her somewhere new, but everyone at Points East made it a much easier experience. The staff is friendly and professional, but most of all, compassionate. They kept me informed each step of the way and made sure any questions I had were answered. Having to take my cat in for any reason at this age always has me in emotional knots, but this experience could not have gone better. I highly recommend

Experiencia fantástica: We brought our GSD in tonight. She passed in the car within minutes of arriving. The promptness of the staff when I went in for help. The kindness and compassion shown was very appreciated. The care they took with her and the time given to my husband and I afterwards, there are no words I can say. They went over and above what I could have ever expected. Thank you so much.

Experiencia negativa: When I went there, I explained that I was caring for my friend’s English Bulldog while she is deployed and they took advantage of that fact. I explained that he had been running around outside and might be showing signs of heat exhaustion. I was told a cart would be brought out to safely assist him, but instead they came with only a leash and basically dragged him inside. I wasn’t allowed to go with him and had to sit in an exam room while he was taken elsewhere. When a tech came to speak with me, I was made aware that “as of right now, we’re at $1000 and it will get more expensive, so I need to know if we should move forward.” I agreed to the blood draw and IV, but when I asked how long he would need to be on an IV, their response was 48 hours. The vet called me with the results instead of coming into the exam room, even though I was in the same hospital. Vet Joy Hudson recommended keeping him overnight for 2–3 days. I asked them to print out the costs of the suggested treatment before proceeding. The estimates were for even longer-term options which were 72 hours at $6,684 and 96 hours at $9,633. I declined the overnight stay and requested just the IV, and it was obvious the staff were visibly upset by my decision. I also requested a receipt for any services rendered. When the copy of his blood results and service records were returned, I noticed the time stamps clearly showing that the IV and blood draw had been administered before I even gave my approval or signed any documents. After I declined further services, they suggested he might have heartworms, which is impossible because he takes preventative meds and is regularly seen by a veterinarian. When I again asked to take him home after his IV, they had me sign a AMA and wait over an hour. As I came in to check on his release, I was told that he conveniently JUST had a bloody stool and was told that it would not resolve on its own… seemingly trying to scare me into keeping him. The entire experience felt more about money than the dog’s wellbeing. Moral of the story: I took my dog home, the “bloody stool” resolved on its own. Two months has passed and he is his normal self. This place is more interested in charging outrageous amounts than providing the necessary care….. they are trying to rob you.

Experiencia negativa: Do not take your cat here at night. Took my baby there tonight and the absolute lack of concern the receptionist and vet showed for my baby was disgusting. The only person in the building who seemed to give half a crap about my kitten was a technician named Don. Not sure why any of these people got into animal care, because they don't seem to care about animals. Bedside manner 0 out of 10.

Experiencia fantástica: I had only had my puppy for a week when she got sick. We took her to the Fayetteville East Point Vet, and found out ahe had parvo. We had gotten her from a breeder. She was so sick and it was scary since she only weighted 2 lbs 7 oz . The staff and Dr's were amazing. It was like it was there on puppy they were helping. They always keep in touch and didn't mind me calling them. They were always polite and very friendly. When you are worried about a family member (fur Baby) It helps when others care so much. I would recommend this place hands down. I appreciate each one at the Emergency Vet. Thanks Pebbles

Experiencia negativa: I ended up having to have my cat put down a few weeks ago and when they where doing it the nurse that was there was very awkward and tried to squeeze our cats head to make her eyes closed it was so awkward. We then spent $800 for her to be put down and cremated the other nurse was joking about a shopping spree with my card. And then they took until January 20th to actually do it then call 1 time and left no message. Then when I finally called them to ask what was going on the told me to come get her it was feb 4th when I got her and then a lady named Idalys at the front desk lied to me about them leaving a voice mail and started arguing with me. Then she made me sign that I received my cat before giving her urn over to me. Then two days later she sends a text telling me to come pick her up if you have to have your animal put down for whatever reason NEVER GO HERE they are insensitive and awkward and very rude.

Experiencia negativa: February 4, 2026 after 6 o’clock we took our baby to your facility waited over two hours to your vet tech and then another three hour pass. You guys decided to tell us that you will not know when to see my babies. You will not know when doctor is available because you are in triage. Guess what after five hours we’ve been waiting we left with a sick baby because you have not seen them and because you have a turn your back on my baby February 5, 2026 even she went to her normal vet spend $1000 this day and yet because she was not taking care in time because you denied it my baby is passed away at age 4 not even made to 5. I hope you guys do know how much we’re hurting this baby was my emotional support dog and you take that from me because you thought she was not urgent if she was not urgent why would we be an emergency vet at night and waiting over five hours for doctor to come in Thank you for what you did not do basically ignore my baby and now she’s gone I blame you whole heartedly

Experiencia negativa: Almost caused my dog to die. Sent us home stating no issues. We waited one more day and took her to another vet. We found out she ate something that was lodged in her intestine After taking her to emergency vets for pets. It was cheaper here even with the surgery. My dog would’ve died if we followed what we were told here. I was also told I would get the manager to review and get a refund. I’m still waiting and it’s been over a year. Save your animal and make the extra drive to emergency vets for pets.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff were very nice and I wasn’t charged anything for them to take a look at my fur baby.

Alexis Richardson Publicada en Google 4 months ago

Experiencia negativa: Aside from waiting for 6 hours to be seen, with only one critical cat coming in during that time, what was more disappointing after this unnecessarily long wait, is the fact they they could not even read the scans that they took. It was explained to us that they had to send off the images to figure out what was going on. There was no reason for her to sit in a room for 3hrs unattended to after 3hrs in the lobby, when the images could have been taken hours ago to be sent off and we could’ve waited in the car. Especially if indeed there are other critical patients that take up their time and space. On top of that, they charge you, to send off the images, as if it is your fault that they aren’t equipped with the right individuals.

Experiencia positiva: I was there over 6 hours. I went in around 5:30 because my cat had trouble urinating and didn't get out till after midnight. My vet told me to go to Holly Springs but this place was closer to home. The vet here told me my cat has crystals but his lab work said there were no crystals. There aren't many options for emergency vets. If I need to, I'll come here again and hope it won't take so long. The staff was very friendly, the place was comfortable and clean and they have a vending machine and free coffee.

Experiencia fantástica: We brought in our dog as she was experiencing liver failure and our vet was closed. The vet and techs were patient and kind as we worked through our options and budget. The decisions were difficult, and they laid everything out very clearly with calm support. I will now recommend them to anyone who needs emergency care for their pets.

Experiencia fantástica: Even though our visit ended with broken hearts and tears, I must say the staff is10/10. Jess immediately evaluated our beloved PB and took him back for assessment. We didn't wait too long before our worst thoughts were confirmed. PB had a grave prognosis from living a hard life in the streets. He came to us trying to lay down his hard past and refused to leave. He spent the last of his years sleeping on a couch full of snuggles and in windows full of sunshine. He was full of personality and love towards his humans. If love could have saved him, he would have been here forever. Dr. Alicyn Cross was kind and fast, giving us the hard truth in a caring, clear diagnosis. We knew what we had to do. PB was euthanized in our arms as he got one last snuggle in. Thank you to Points East Staff for caring for our special boy.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been trying to trap my feral cats and ended up having to use a makeshift setup, which finally worked. After driving over an hour to a spay/neuter clinic, I was told they couldn’t take him because he wasn’t in a standard trap. I then stopped at Five Points Animal Emergency Hospital nearby and asked what felt like a bizarre question, whether I could use an exam room to safely transfer him into a proper trap, since doing it in my car clearly wasn’t smart. Four staff members stepped in and were incredibly kind, helpful, and understanding. Shout-out to Mickey, Brittany, Syniah, and Savannah, you all rock! It truly showed how compassionate and unorthodox they can be when it comes to helping animals and the people who care for them. As a veterinary professional myself, thank you so much. I hope I never have an emergency, but if I do, I know my pets would be in excellent hands there.

Experiencia positiva: Points East is an emergency room for your pet. Like people ERs, they are super busy outside of normal business hours (when your own vet isn't open). They're also more expensive than a normal vet. So you should not bring your pet there unless it's a true emergency and cannot wait until business hours The staff whom we dealt with made a real effort to be professional and compassionate. However, understand that they are swamped on weekends, it is a high stress environment and they are human. It can be a very long wait as they triage all the cases. In my case, they needed to keep pushing back the surgery of my pet in favor of other more urgent cases. I brought him in on Saturday, we waited 4-5 hours, then another hour in a private room, then examination, then another hour or two of tests. Then we planned the surgery but they couldn't do the procedure until Monday morning They did give quality care, were very thorough, were compassionate, and communicated with us regularly The bill was large (as mentioned; however it was not out of line with what they had quoted--just know it's going to be expensive). And there were a few hiccups at the time of my pet's discharge. They asked what time I was available to pick him up so they could prepare discharge papers, but I had to wait 90 minutes after that time because they had not provided a needed prescription (I had to remind them after I got there and the vet was conducting a surgery). They had followed their routine discharge procedures & had a packet of paperwork ready for me, but no one had given thought to the needed prescription (for specialized food) which the vet on saturday had alluded to in our discussion of our pet's treatment. All in all they did a pretty good job. Their jobs are very demanding and they are human. I used to work in an ER (as a chaplain) and so I know it takes a special kind of person to handle this environment with a steady flow of crises, and people have to insulate themselves a little emotionally from the pressure and there are times when the result of the care is not what is hoped. I could see the weariness on the faces of a couple of the employees when I was there--they're definitely human and they're trying to succeed in the job. My advice, to sum up is: 1. Don't use this service if you have another option (i.e. it can wait for reg business hours & your own vet) 2. Know that it won't be cheap and that you might have a long wait 3. Have realistic expectations of the staff, and speak up if there's a problem In my experience, they're not perfect but they're pretty good. I'm glad I brought them my pet.

Experiencia fantástica: This is Mr. Brody my 11 year old rescue pug beagle mix. A few nights ago he decided to eat dry pinto beans (which can be toxic or cause an obstruction) that belonged in my ferrets dig box (Has been removed). And they were so helpful and amazing. They made sure to update us very often and we were ready to go in like an hour. They got him to throw up the beans and he has fully recovered. The price was also phenomenal for an ER visit. I know where i will always go in an emergency.

Experiencia negativa: Don't go if you have a cat, you will be there 7 hours in the parking lot while you watch your cat loosing the fight in your arms. The only good it did my baby was getting him antibiotics to get him through the night so he can go to a vet that cares and doesn't price gouge. 7 hours later. I will drive 1.5 hour to Raleigh if I have any more after hours emergencies. Never again.

Experiencia fantástica: After reading all the horrible reveiws I was so afraid to come here but all I can say is I had a great experience. Short wait time, vet answered all questions, staff was friendly and helpful. Updates were given twice a day and they took their time answering all my questions. Give them a try. But remember they are an emergency vet so most critical incoming take priority. Plus cost was less than my regular vet and my dog was there 3 days total.

Experiencia fantástica: We took our 7 year old Rottweiler this evening because she had something stuck in her mouth and we couldn’t see what it was. Once we arrived we noticed a ham bone stuck in her mouth. We were originally told it would be about a 4 hour wait before the vet could see her, but one of the techs came in the room to talk to us. When we explained that our girl was extremely friendly and would tolerate an examination without sedation he went straight back and removed the bone by himself! He brought her out to us and WOULDN’T EVEN ALLOW US TO PAY A DIME, no matter how hard we tried to!

Experiencia positiva: In emergency I highly recommend taking your pets. Expensive none the least but they came up with a treatment within the budget I had available. My cat was very sick and possibly wouldn't be here today without there help. They got her through the night so I'd have time to get her to vet office that was affordable for me. Took a little longer than I would have liked to be seen but everyone was extremely nice and caring. My cat dolly has almost completely recovered I would like to say thank you to everyone there

Experiencia negativa: KEEP YOUR BABIES AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Our baby Maggie was taking in after hours because of vomiting and diarrhea after chewing on leaves in our yard. My husband informed them of this while they took their sweet time doing a parvo test which was negative then insisting to do a panel incase of false negative parvo test. We repeatedly emphasized the leaves she ate being from a fig tree which we knew is toxic to dogs and that’s why we rushed in. After a normal blood panel result which we already knew they said everything looked fine except she was dehydrated and wanted to keep her for 24hrs to push fluids. Still not doing anything about the problem we came in for. We told them we’d monitor at home and do fluids ourselves. So upon leaving they did a fluid shot and maropitant cerenia injection and said she’ll be kind of out of it but it was normal if she still seemed dehydrated tommorow to give them a call. “Before the “30 mins later she’ll feel better “ they told my husband . Our babie had blood running out of her rectum stopped blinking and died in the car!! We are calling our normal vet in the AM for a toxicology screening to find out what they gave her and how much. With them taking her away from my husband from the time he checked in till he checked out hours later which I’ve. Never experienced at any vet before I want to know what they did to my baby!! I’ve attached pictures of how she was at 11:20 when she passed which I’m documenting everything of course because of the severity of the situation I feel legal action and the NCVMB will likely be contacted next after a tox screen Tommorow. It’s hard to look at but it harder to deal with if you aren’t warned about these people.. This was our baby, my family, my husband, my kids and my other fur babies are completely heart broken this place is dangerous to your pets!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: We woke up early on a Sunday morning to find our oldest dog, having mobility issues and confusion, The Vet was an hour away and had a best rating out of everything else around us. We decided to take the risk and drive down here and we informed them that our dog cannot walk at the moment so they got a gurney out for her wheeled her back to figure out what the issue is. They told us that she had internal bleeding and was slowly declining and it was in our best option to have her euthanized or pay about $3000 in surgery fees. They took us to a little room for our privacy and we decided to have her euthanized. It was the more humane way, and we didn’t want her in any more pain than what she already was in. They let us sit in that room for as long as we needed, and we were able to be there for her in her last moments of life. We decided to have her cremated, They only took a couple of days to get her back, but they put her in this lovely wooden urn and they had her paw print molded in some clay. Everyone who was there helped us with care and we had a really good experience. May her soul rest in peace.

Experiencia negativa: This is an honest review. I’ll gladly edit and update if Vets Pets (Points East) will make things right. As all pet owners have and will experience, we went through the sad end of life process with our beloved pet. We had him cremated with a facility owned by Vets Pets. When we retrieved our memorialized best friend, we were missing a beloved collar of emotional value he was wearing at the time of care at the facility, but were returned the other collar. Where is the second collar? Staff on site assured us we would be contacted by management. No contact. We reached out to the location. No response. We reached out to the parent company after finding the LLC contract information. No response. We would really like to resolve this issue quickly and without fuss.

I have mixed feelings about the reviews, however that last review with a tech saying she or he thought the dog was already dead is a horrendous and unprofessional thing to say to an owner. Experiencia negativa: I am deeply disappointed with my recent, 1st and last experience at this pet hospital. After bringing my dog in for monitoring following surgery, I expected compassionate care and professionalism. Instead, I encountered staff who were cold, uncaring and lacked basic empathy. One of the technicians named Vicky, told me after covering the estimate with her hand, "Don't look at that yet" and then proceeded to tell me that "when she 1st saw my dog, she thought it was dead" Mind you this is while I'm concerned about my pet's condition. When I raised my concerns with the vet, she was dismissive and failed to acknowledge the inappropriate behavior of her staff or show any professional decorum regarding my distress at this. This level of care was unacceptable, especially in a setting where animals and their owners should feel supported and respected. I would not recommend this facility based on my experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I had found a stray injured kitten maybe 3 months old in the evening time after county animal control was closed. I wasn’t able to take the injured kitten home until the next day and the staff was super understanding and compassionate. They held him the next day until they could get him to animal services. Amazing staff and team!

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t thank this veterinary team enough — they truly saved my dog’s life. He came in with collapsed lungs (which I had no idea about when I first brought him in), and they acted immediately to stabilize him with incredible skill, urgency, and compassion. Throughout the entire ordeal, they remained calm, professional, and so caring — not just toward my dog, but toward me as well. They allowed me to visit with him as often as I wanted, and both the veterinarian and the vet tech spent time talking with me, explaining every detail and helping me understand our next steps. At one point, I tried to take him to NC State for surgery based on their availability, only to find out they couldn’t get him in for a week. With this team’s help, we were able to get him transferred instead to their sister clinic in Wilson for the procedure, and they managed the entire process seamlessly. They were compassionate, understanding, and genuinely fought for me and my pup every step of the way. I’ll forever be grateful for their quick action, communication, and dedication. They went above and beyond when we needed them most — and because of their swift, expert care, my dog is still here today.

Experiencia fantástica: We have unfortunately had to use Points East twice now, but I am so thankful for their services. Yesterday, one of my cats was having a true medical emergency … she was having an extremely difficult time breathing. We rushed her in, and within minutes they took her to the back to get her stabilized. Even though they were busy, they were communicative the whole time. We had to leave her overnight; they were so understanding and actually encouraged us to call for updates as much as we wanted. Once she was in the clear the vet personally called us. Upon pick up, they even refunded us a portion of what we paid! Yes the wait times are long, yes it is pricier than a normal vet … this is for emergencies! I am so grateful they gave it all for my girl. I hope we don’t have another emergency any time soon, but if we do, there is no one I would trust more. Thank you for what you do, I know it isn’t easy.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at this clinic were truly amazing and compassionate. When my cat experienced an emergency, they responded immediately upon our arrival and took her in without delay. Once in the examination room, Dr. Chen and her assistant clearly explained every detail of my cat’s condition and the necessary steps for her care. I was very emotional, and Dr. Chen comforted me with kindness and empathy until I was calm. I am deeply grateful to the entire team for the exceptional care and compassion they showed to both my cat and me. She is now recovering well, considering the severity of her accident.

Experiencia negativa: Very expensive... 1 stitch in my cats foot was $800. Should of ONLY cleaned the wound and given antibiotics. Do not allow opioids to be administered to your cat. You don't get to be in the room during the exam which makes me question the transparency of the situation. I was definitely up sold, during a stressful situation.

Experiencia fantástica: Today was a hard day. We had to put our beloved Sweet Potato to sleep. The employees, vets, caregivers and everyone in between were so helpful and loving. You could tell they were pet people and understood the heartache and pain that comes with this process. I want to say thank you!

Experiencia negativa: I have been here twice now, once for a cat who was run over, a second time for my dog who seemed to be heaving/coughing with no production. When we brought our dog they immediately wanted imaging, tests etc…we only brought him here because they were one of two places open. I assumed it was kennel cough (it was) but they could not even diagnose that, and very evidently tried to jump to the most expensive tests. The second time I came here my cat had been run over. We called ahead and asked wait times etc. was told 2-3 hours. After we arrived we got a room relatively quickly, then got a tech with hands on, she told us the Vet would be right with us, 6 hours went by and then we were told to come back in the morning. I understand this is an emergency vet, however the unprofessionalism displayed by the staff and how they communicate was disgusting, blaming us for not calling around to find another vet etc. bottom line, this place is looking for the biggest paycheck, can’t triage to save their life, and is rude, unprofessional and again extremely incompetent. Save your time, money and head ache and go to the Small Animal Emergency in Vass. They are 100x better in all aspects and look at your pet as more than a price tag.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely loved our vet tech, Alex. She is probably one of the most personable healthcare professionals I have ever met, especially in the veterinary field. She answered all of our questions about our injured kitty and explained every procedure throughout our visit in a way that was easy to understand. I really feel like she went out of our way to make sure our cat was cared for and comfortable, both in office and at home. I would recommend this facility solely based off of our experience with her

Experiencia fantástica: I came on a Saturday morning, and I expected that they be busy so we also waited in the car for a parvo test, but you guys need to remember this is an EMERGENCY HOSPITAL therefore everyone’s emergency is different based on life or death. They have to make judgement calls so please give them a break and be patient. Once you admit you, they take care of everything you need. Lindsay and Dr. Roberts treated us so respectfully and courteously. It was much appreciated.

Experiencia negativa: We went to Points East yesterday at 5pm with a 14-year-old dog who had not been responsive earlier in the hour and had not peed all day. He was having weird strong abdominal contractions as well and was clearly very sick. But...apparently to the office staff, my dog wasn't unstable and in no need to be triaged. They said they could put him in the back and that would require a 600.00 deposit before any diagnostics would be done. The front desk lady even made a joke my dog was angry with us for leaving him earlier with no treats. My dog was throwing up bile , heart racing, and with his diabetes, Cushings and previous high liver labs-all communicated to her- my dog clearly needed emergent care. We left as I wasn't leaving him in a cage in the back to die alone and suffer. By 5am, he was having seizures and we barely got him to another er vet 50 minutes away as he was actively dying. They immediately saw him and we had no choice but to euthanize him. They were compassionate and made a traumatic experience as gentle as possible. I will be writing to points east and will be seeing my vet this week to make a formal complaint. We were treated rudely and with no compassion and told we wouldn't see a vet for 6 hours. My dog was possibly in an Addison crisis which is life-threatening or multi organ failure and we would have euthanized him yesterday as sick as he was. But he suffered hours longer. As for why we didn't head to other er vet last night- we had been up since 4am and had not eaten since 11. So we needed some food and rest before having to say goodbye to our beloved dog. Small Animal Hospital in Vass, nc is the place to go-dont waste your time going to points east in Fayetteville nc. We wish we'd known about the place in Vass before. They were amazingly different experience. We deserve more er vets here. And everyone deserves to be treated with respect. Shame on you ladies at Point East!

Experiencia fantástica: I'm just going to talk about my experience here, which was incredible. I understand other people may not have been as lucky as I was...or maybe they don't really understand how an emergency vet works. Emergency vets are expensive. Very expensive. Be prepared for sticker shock...and don't carry your pet there if it's not a true emergency. No different that not going to the emergency room at the hospital unless you're actually having an emergency. They are going to treat the animals that need the most urgent treatment. This is just the way it works. Anyway...back to my review. I took my beagle in that had been getting progressively sicker over the last few weeks and I didn't feel like our now former vet was doing what they needed to be doing. The person at the front desk starting checking us in, but after just a few minutes, saw how labored my dog's breathing was and called for triage to come get him now. After treatment for basically 3 days, we ended up having to say goodbye to our little fella. His condition was just too far gone and he was not improving. I'm not really going to get into all the details. This doesn't sound like I would be happy....and I certainly wasn't happy about losing one of my beloved dogs. But I was so incredibly pleased with all they did for him and how they communicated everything, even down to when Dr. Wicks told us it was probably time to make a tough decision. She allowed my family to grieve for as long as we needed and I felt like she was grieving right along with us. Dr. Wicks was so incredibly caring and thoughtful in how she handled our entire situation. She even, out of her own pocket, got a paw print and nose print for my daughter, who was very upset. Going above and beyond is what she did, and I can't thank her enough.

Experiencia positiva: While there my cat was diagnosed with FLUTD. They prescribed him food. He’s as healthy as can be now. They were very nice to my one year old daughter and were very patient with me as I had to make a couple calls to them asking about what food to buy and how he was healing. They are pricy but our service was good.

Experiencia positiva: We were referred here after our regular vet couldn’t perform a specific test. Across three visits for the same issue, the staff was always helpful, attentive, and caring. My pup stayed 2.5 days during the first visit, and I was able to see her during overnights while staff kept me updated and answered calls with patience. The wait times are long and it is pricey, but they were transparent about costs and never did treatments without my approval. It may be helpful to have a referral from your regular vet so they have records and background on your pet. My only suggestions are to make the rooms more soundproof, as it was hard hearing others grieving, and for front staff to avoid discussing coworker or client issues out loud around customers. A star was taken off for that reason, though overall the care was excellent.

Experiencia negativa: I took my one year old dog here today because him and his dog friend tore up a couch on Saturday (2 days ago) and now he has diarrhea with blood. We get there and they asked if he could wait in the car so that they could do a parvo test on him (which is totally understandable) I had my vet send his vaccination records to them and they couldn’t understand them or the vaccination record wasn’t clear whatever the reasoning is and they were like we’re going to do the test and I was okay with that. It was a high of 86° today and I got there at 11:45am. I don’t have ac in my car and I explained that to them and asked if I could have some water for my dog because I wasn’t expecting to sit that long in the car and they basically blew off my question and had me wait. By 12:30pm NO ONE had walked outside to test my dog or even look at him to make sure all was well. 45 MINUTES in a HOT car and not a single person walked outside to check on him or see his condition. I was absolutely appalled by the service here and I felt like the woman at the desk did not want to be there and does not care about animals and their well being. When I offered to grab the vaccine records from my house she asked if I had someone that could bring them to me and I told her I didn’t have anyone and she rudely said “are you sure you don’t have anyone” which then I explained to her that it’s just my husband and I that live here and he is currently out of town and that i did not know anyone that has access to my house and that could bring them to me. I 100% recommend bringing your fur baby ANYWHERE else but here because they did not seem to care about mine. While sitting there a woman walked in with her dog and they had no problem with her bringing them in but my dog had to wait outside for 45 minutes to be seen in the heat and they didn’t seem to care enough to even look at his condition. I just ended up leaving. Also I’d like to add that when I walked inside a quarter to 12 there was only one person in the waiting room and they did not have an animal with them so I assume she was just waiting on her fur baby.

I will definitely bring any of my pets here if their vets closed and recommend everyone if you need a good place that’s 24 hour for an emergency go here!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Not pleased with this facility and will not be returning. We took our dog in with diarrhea with blood and throwing up. We had called before bringing him in, where they told us he possibly has HGE which can be fatal to dogs. After taking him in we were told it was from the medicine he was previously taking and never tested for HGE. When the doctor came in she couldn’t seem to figure out where our dog was placed at. This was very alarming and concerning as he had been taken from us for 5 of the 6 hours we were there for. Once he was brought back to us we were questioning had our dog really been examined due to her not knowing what he looked like or where he was at. We were also told he had a big bladder stone because of his history of having one. News flash: he was taken to the vet today for a follow up and turns out he he’s an enlarged prostate AND is not sick from the medicine but has another stomach issue that was overlooked at this facility. After looking at our records of our visit to this place we have learned that they documented his stool as “dark brown” when it was infact red all over their floor and walls from how bad he had diarrhea. Not only this but was labeled as “unkempt” which after having constant bloody diarrhea you would too be “unkempt”. After being there for 6 hours he was treated for throwing up and nothing but a probiotic for his diarrhea, which he still has 3 days later.

Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend this emergency vet. The staff have 0 compassion and your pet is just another dollar sign to them. I went and got my baby’s ashes back today and they give you a plate with no engraving on it. They told me to “go to a trophy shop you can get it engraved there.” Mind you I payed almost THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS to have her cremated. And they don’t even have the decency to engrave her name on the plate. Take your pet somewhere else.

Experiencia positiva: When I found out my dog was going to need surgery that our primary vet couldn't do, I was hesitant to bring her here. I've had bad experiences here in the past with long wait times and staff with rude, condescending attitudes. I decided to just risk it and bring her here for the surgery anyway and I'm SO glad I did. We did not have to wait crazy long to get her back and get things rolling this time. Everyone we dealt with was so nice and understanding and explained everything really well. They kept me well updated throughout her entire hospitalization and didn't seem the slightest bit annoyed with me calling a couple times a day to check on her. I really appreciate the extensive notes they send after discharge, as well. I was able to see the entire timeline of her stay and exactly what they did the whole time. They also made every effort possible to try to lower my bill as much as they could. It was a major major surgery so it was still pricy, but they did their best to help me out and that did not go unnoticed. I took away one star because of my past experiences and because I know how rude some of the staff can be, but for this whole experience this time they were fantastic. Honestly I think it helps to have a referral from your primary vet if possible.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to bring my cat here on a Friday evening. When I called to tell them what he was having problems with, the receptionist told me it would be about a 3 hour wait to be seen. But the entire visit was only 3 hours. Was only 3 other cars when I showed up. When I left the parking lot was full. But everyone was extremely nice. The veterinarian was awesome and explained everything well, and took her time. I'm hoping I don't need to go back an emergency vet, but if I do I'm going here.

Experiencia negativa: This is sad that this place is the only 24hr urgent vet care in this city. The wait here is no less than 4 hours and your pet will be in a waiting room untreated for hours. This is my second time having to take my pet here and it’s always only one vet working which is horrible. They really need to do better in order to serve this community better. If zero stars were available I’d do less.

The staff was respectful, kind and never seemed overwhelmed or annoyed despite the busy atmosphere. They then told me that they had removed her parasites, which I found out wasn't true when I found her with the same ear mites. When I brought her back, I was told her symptoms aligned with marijuana and then told that her parasites were dealt with AGAIN. She died in my arms the next day from worms, worms I had been assured three seperate times had been cleared from her system. Losers

Experiencia fantástica: I took my 5 year old male cat here and was delighted by the professional and critical care of the staff. I called before I took my boy in to see if he needed to be seen. They told me the cost for just seeing him and that seeing my boy would be in order of most critical first so he may not get in immediately. When I got there 20 mins later at around 3:30 am, they took my boy back immediately. I got him all checked in while they were checking him over. They clearly communicated what the diagnosis was and costs for treatment. They provided the most expensive options along with the cheapest options. I custom picked his care which wasn’t the cheapest nor the most expensive options. They continued to let me know how he was doing while I was in the patient room. They were also clear that there was additional emergencies on their way which may delay their promptness for his care. However, we ended up being done before the others arrived. I was impressed with how often the came out to give me updates, clearly explained what my cats diagnosis was, the handouts they provided to help me understand his condition, and how they provide multiple treatment options with various costs. Additionally, they gave me an extensive list of vets that I could take my boy to for continued care! Thank you for taking such amazing care of my boy!

Experiencia negativa: I brought one of my outside feral cats in with a wounded foot. I was worried it might be broken and just wanted to make sure to do what was needed to help him. I was here for 5 hours and was seen after 4 hours. This was a feral cat and I am the only person he trusted. I told the vet tech this and said I could set him on the scale to check his weight if she wanted, but she insisted on doing it. He freaked out, as expected, and put one very tiny scratch on her hand. She acted like everything was fine. When the doctor came in, she mentioned quarantine, I assumed she meant ME quarantining the cat at home. She came back in, didn't give me any information about his foot, but said she was sending him to animal control for a week's quarantine because he's not vaccinated, then I could "try to get him back". What do you mean try? This is MY cat that I cared enough about to bring to an emergency vet expecting an expensive bill. I was scared to death that he would get euthanized with the shelter being full. I got in contact with them and made sure they knew I was his owner and I wanted him back. On the day his quarantine was up, he attacked someone at the shelter and was euthanized. I don't understand..he's a feral cat..do people not know to handle a feral cat differently? Do not bring your feral cats to this place because you will never see them again.

Experiencia negativa: I took my puppy here, almost 6 months, almost 6 lbs, yesterday. I told them he's choking but they didn't see it and said, if he was choking, he wouldn't be breathing and the nurse said maybe it's reverse sneezing. I said it wasn't reverse sneezing and I've seen that before and that it was like choking, gaging, coughing, I didn't stay o get puppy seen since puppy wasn't choking anymore and I felt at this point, they couldn't help, but I definitely knew this nurse and desk clerk was wrong. We had to sit in line with everyone else where they're pets were calm. So I took him home and he started choking again and I called and said could I send a video and she said no. Finally, he brought up about a yard of light green string and not sure of where he got it. I haven't had anything like that out since I moved in this house a year ago.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff was so supportive and kind. I could not have asked for a better experience with their staff. Keep in mind this is an emergency vet so the wait can be very long I was there for four hours waiting due to more traumatic life or death cases coming in and I was okay waiting because of how kind the staff was and I am thankful my dog was not in that traumatic of a situation. It is also much more expensive but again it is an emergency vet so completely understandable. My dog was very loved on, they were informative, even cleaned and bandaged my wounds.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff was responsive and very helpful and the place was clean. I was there from 6am to noon so it wasn't fast, but my dog was triaged as soon as we walked in so they could make sure he wasn't in need of immediate care. I knew we would wait as they had more pressing patients - the estimated wait times they gave me were pretty accurate. I've had to do several ER visits in different places over the last few years, they always take a couple of hours and are expensive, pet insurance and patience help. They took good care of him and he's doing well now. I would absolutely go back and recommend to others.

Experiencia negativa: The lady Rachael that spoke with me was beyond rude. She would not let me get my question out as I was asking her and instead needing to keep cutting me off to put her input in instead of listening to my question. She was also very stand offish. Due to her demeanor I almost left the establishment because how can you not show any empathy or concern for the owners of the pets? What does that say about your establishment? However, the vet tech that spoke with us was amazing. She was beyond helpful, honest, compassionate, and caring. She gave us great advice and we felt very heard and cared for. I wish I would've gotten her name. Long story short, the staff that is the first face of this hospital needs to be revisited.

Experiencia negativa: I've been here twice so far and both times we were made to wait in the room while watching people stand around and talk. This time we came cause my dog got bit and was bleeding a lot. Got here 1130 waited. Told it would be 6 hour wait and we could go home but we had to be back in 15 minutes if they called us. Went home got called at 240 arrived at 3pm. Saw a nurse at315 was told I was next. Going on 430 for someone to check and make sure he didn't need stitches. Honestly I'll just go to another emergency vet and pay out of pocket cause how are you waiting 6 hours for an emergency. That's wild. Do y'all just not really care about the animals?
