Experiencia negativa: Got a courtesy call from Riverbark after my review-what a waste of time- excuses on top of excuses. Unless you want to pay $700 for an eye and ear infection- go to Southern Oaks or Cypress Lakes Animal Hospital- better customer service and reasonable prices.

My dog was severely ill and I immediately drove to them right when they were opening, hoping they could squeeze us in, they took my girl back as soon as we walked in and got her attention immediately. she ended up needing surgery same day and dr leflore was amazing with her and got her in very quickly. Forever grateful for all of the staff that took care of our sweet indie

We've been here multiple times for the simplest of procedures like a wellness check to something more complicated like dental extractions. The place is always clean and you get immediate attention at the front desk. Truly worth a place to check out for amazing and exceptional work.

Lack of communication, no follow through in an emergency, and absolutely no transparency with care. While I can appreciate running tests and being thorough, there was not enough urgency in the care provided leading us to another hospital for the proper care. Dog is now in emergency surgery and in good hands at another facility, no thanks to this location. Please do better for your future patients and anxious pet parents

Experiencia negativa: My dog underwent a C-section at this veterinary office on December 19th. Tragically, the entire litter passed away on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. My whole Christmas was ruined, I spent my entire break caring and crying for my baby and her babies and it definitely dampened the holidays for us. We weren't in the Christmas spirit anymore. What makes this even more upsetting is the lack of proper discharge care. My dog was sent home without any aftercare paperwork ( and I clearly remember this because I carried the whole litter in a clothes basket with two hands and had here lease tied to it), written instructions, or clear guidance on what to monitor following major abdominal surgery 1 was told that she had sutures and I asked about what I had to do and doctor said, "Nothing" so in my mind I thought that meant they were dissolvable. I was also not given a scheduled follow-up appointment at the time of discharge for suture removal or post-operative evaluation, which I am finding out is standard after a C-section. Now as a Black woman, I know Obstetric Racism and Obstetric violence are a thing but come on, it's 2026, treat everyone the same, regardless of color. It's an innocent dog! I did everything asked of me during my dog's gestation. I spend thousands. For over a week I went daily, at $150 a DAY for them to get her levels. One day the receptionist asked why didn't they just tell me to "check her temperature" instead of sending me in DAILY for $150. | immediately spoke with the office manager about this, it wasn't resolved so I continued to pay. My c-section was $2500, 1 am just a special needs teacher and I'm not a breeder. I did ask for payment arrangements and they did agree. On Dec. 19th my baby had her surgery, about 4 days earlier than her due date, I'm trusting the professionals, I didn't go to Veterinary school so I didn't know the risk or expectations. The entire litter died within days. I called back to speak to Dr. Beasley (whom | wholeheartedly like) and she was out, she left me a VM and plans to call back but we never talked again. I came and spoke to Sam. I simply asked to be relieved of SOME of the c-section expense because I don't think it would be fair to still charge me after everything. She firmly said' "No" and that I had to pay the remaining $1800 because of their fees and etc. Ma'am, you guys are a million dollar business. $1800 is not comparable to a litter of 6 AKA French Bulldogs. My poor baby is devastated and looks for her litter occasionally. I Will enclose pictures and videos. After experiencing such a devastating loss, the absence of clear communication, instructions, and continuity of care added unnecessary stress and confusion during an already traumatic situation. Major surgical procedures require thorough aftercare education, and that did not occur here. I am sharing this so other pet owners are aware and so this practice understands the seriousness of proper post-operative care, communication, and accountability.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Dale performed ALC surgery on our dog Arlo, and the results have been excellent so far. Our dog loves to chase anything she can, all day long, whenever possible. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a skilled surgeon as Dr. Dale, who was able to bring our cherished family member back to full health and a life free of pain. We are so thankful for all he and his staff have done for our beloved dog, Arlo.

Experiencia negativa: $500+ for a small 10 pound dog to get neutered is absolutely sickening. And that wasn’t even including medication costs. Yeah there are way cheaper places to get this done at. Save yourself some money and time.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking all of my dogs to Riverbark for around 15 years. I would trust any one of the vets on staff with my dogs, no questions asked. They are the kindest people and so fantastic with all of our animals. Dr. Dale and Dr. Leflore are amazing with our senior/medically complex dogs. Dr. Sommer was fantastic with our anxious dog. Dr. Beasley has been so fantastic with our brand new dachshund babies. And Dr. Tyndall was great with our rescue, and great at explaining things. Dr. Dale has seen us through entire lifespans of different dogs, and there is no one I would feel more secure in taking any dog from puppy to senior to see. The staff there will treat your pets like their own. Front desk staff are patient and caring. The techs recognize our dogs and are so sweet to them. I never worry about leaving our dogs in their care, they are so good with each and every one of their personalities.

When I thought he was going to have to rest permanently, a tech worked to find a home that could care for him without danger to other cats. The staff was very patient and gave him the best care. We ultimately took Scrappy home. With medicine and constant TLC, we definitely see a positive change in him. He’ll be back for surgery in a few weeks! Thanks for all your care.

When I moved, I knew it would be hard for me to trust different Vet that I knew nothing about. For someone who doesn’t run to doc very often, I’ve had a series of emergencies in the last 2 years that’s forced me visit Riverbark quite a bit and they have really came through. The service is excellent, the veterinarian care is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I felt listened to and respected. As I know I can be a handful with my reluctance towards the medical field, I now feel like I can let my guard down because I have a reliable vet who I trust.

Experiencia negativa: Will never go there again. I have 5 dogs that were seen there. Recently had one diagnosed with heartworms and went through the treatment plan. After the third phase of treatment where she received the shot she had some complications, when I called at 4:30 pm and explained that she was in serious condition, they told me they couldn’t see her because they were closing soon (5:30) and they didn’t have the staff to look at her. They suggested that I drop her off in the morning or take her to the emergency vet. I feel that it was very unprofessional and will be removing all of my business from there. I had to put the dog down later that evening after a $1500 bill and no assurance that she would pull through. Never even a call back to check on her condition. This place has gone downhill in the last year or so. Zero stars for me!

Experiencia negativa: I used this vet for a long time but something must've happend with the staff because they are no longer sending the correct documents after even 3 calls. They also cost me $400 by providing the wrong document to me for only 1 of 3 pets, and I had to ask multiple times for the documents I needed in order to get them and they'd argue with me and state I didn't need those when i most certainly did, it was infuriating.

When she moved to Riverbark she was 20 minutes closer so it was a no-brainer to switch. Not only is Jennifer great but the office itself is amazing. All of the staff are as kind as can be and it is a nice facility. We could not be happier. I would give 10 Stars if I could.

Experiencia fantástica: All of our pets go to this veterinarian and have been going there for many years. They are super busy but manage the traffic well. The price is reasonable and the vets and their technicians work hard to do their best for the pet and the family. If an urgent care appointment is needed, they will accommodate that request although if you are being "squeezed in" it might take a bit of time. They will provide veterinary service for household pets and stray animals when necessary. I would recommend this veterinary hospital because of the doctors and staff and because it's obvious that they care about the pets (and people).

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at Riverbark on Ramsey Street were not only friendly and patient, but VERY understanding when administering our dog’s vaccinations, microchip and annual exam. Our family’s 2yr old male GSD does NOT enjoy receiving shots and becomes defensive and stressed. The staff and I knew we had to take necessary precautions prior to his appointment in order to reduce his anxiety while making it safe for those involved. The process took less time than I thought and Dr. Beasley-Roach, who examined Greyson-Bair was bubbly and kind. The Vet Techs were so sweet and checked on my dog numerous times during the sedation and reversal process to make sure he was okay and ready to go back home. Kudos to all who helped to make Greyson-Bair’s visit a success!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough amazing things about Riverbark on Ramsey, and specifically Dr. Sommer. I brought my pup Shady in on Monday to an urgent care appointment with what I suspected to be ocular cancer. Dr. Sommer checked him out and confirmed my fears. Dr. Sommer went so far as to draw a diagram to better explain what was happening, and what the resolution would be (eye removal). Shady was able to be promptly scheduled for surgery on the following Wednesday. He’s been home for just over 24 hours and is healing as best as can be expected. Riverbark was supportive each step of the way, kept me updated, and has answered all of my questions. The compassion Dr. Sommer showed truly made this whole process easier. Thank you!
