Experiencia positiva: They made a same day appointment for my cat (Smokey) right away, which I greatly appreciate! After a couple weeks of the recommended treatment, my cat unfortunately hasn’t been doing any better. So I contact the vet in order to ask the doctor what I should do moving forward. Not only is the doctor always out of the office it seems, but they want me to pay for another appointment just for general quality of life questions. Mind you, I’m already $850 in and this point. I understand you’re a business, but that seems kind of heartless given the situation. I’m not very happy about it, and it may have just been the receptionist I spoke with misconveying the proper way to handle situations like this. But I just paid for an exam less than 2 weeks ago and I need to follow up with the doctor without you trying to bleed me dry.

Deciding to be seen and treated at Waterhouse made sense with that kind of beyond the call of duty treatment. We are beyond happy and pleased with Dr Thiels. He is without a doubt the kindest, caring, logical and friendly Veterinarian. He answers our questions, understands our concerns and ALWAYS offers a written estimate when it comes to X-rays, testing etc. He followed up with us numerous times via phone when our beloved Maddie was so ill. We had a wait as expected (2 hrs.?) to be seen as there were other appts. ahead of us but grateful to be seen. We received a friendly, personal greeting and were checked in right away. My pet and I were treated with TLC from the get go. Communication with me was thoughtful, attentive and clear about her condition, treatment options, discharge care and meds. Dr. Stinkski-Ertl and each support staff contact was kind and caring. Much appreciated by a worried pet owner. This is very consistent with other times I have been there. All of my pets are handled with loving care and I am always treated with a ton of respect. This time, was no exception. I am a dog Mom through and through and brought them a rescued kitten. They made sure she had a clean bill of health and sent me on my way with as much information as possible, even answering some of the silliest first time cat Mom questions.

Each staff member was kind, supportive and made it their mission to offer my dog the best care possible before, during and post-op. Special shout out to Natalie the specialty surgery coordinator, who not just took this case as another job, but but learned about my dog, asked and answered all the right questions, and was extremely knowledgeable in doing so, which alleviated my stress. Staff is contacted me everyday post-op to make sure there have been no hiccups in recovery. Marley and I can't thank Waterhouse enough for performing this high-risk surgery going above another beyond all expectations of professionalism and kindness.

After 4 years consulting with 3 veterinarians and three trainers , we feel like we are finally getting somewhere. Dr. Bradhurst was very thorough and detailed in her assessment of what would benefit Maisie. What was most satisfying is that she listened. We were very pleased.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience. My dog was limping a little and not all time. I thought it might be related to a possible foxtail in her paw. The vet did reflex and muscle testing and felt the leg on my dog, and where the potential foxtail was, and since there didn’t seem to be any pain with the testing then X-rays were probably not necessary, at this time and saved me a ton of money. And just to watch her and see if the limping starts again. Thank you so very much.

Experiencia fantástica: We have used Waterhouse Animal Hospital for at least 19 years. Our pets have always received good care there. They are open every day, which is nice. The prices are high, but I do think that most veterinarians have high prices. Whenever our pets have procedures, they have always kept in good contact, given us all the information, and followed up with us to make sure things were going OK. The staff is always kind. I recommend them! I am updating this in 2025 and I still feel the same way. Dr. Bradhurst is honestly A kind and amazing veterinarian. We are so happy with how she treats our pets and how she treats us as pet owners.

Experiencia fantástica: Waterhouse is AMAZING. We've gone to them for two years and received services from physical therapy, regular lab work/follow ups, dental cleaning, and more. Just yesterday, our pup had to go in last minute as he got a pretty nasty wound running around the backyard. They quickly took him in, gave him 3 sutures, and he was set! I can't speak highly enough about their staff! They are so attentive and knowledgeable. They are the best vets we've ever come across! We drive about an hour from Visalia and they are so worth it.

Experiencia negativa: This place is a rip off. They are constantly upselling you and charging for things you don’t ask for or need. I was there recently for an urgent visit and when I specifically said not to run any diagnostics unless I am called, they did anyway and charged me for it. I’ll be moving over to another vet. I only stayed here for the convenience of the location but I’m done being financially abused by this place. It’s ridiculous and I’m sure not even legal.

Our dog needed 2 TPLO knee surgeries over the span of 9 months (get pet insurance if you don't have it!) and she came out of both running around like a puppy again! The staff was very diligent about follow up calls asking how she was doing and the level of care was unsurpassed. I travel an hour to get to Waterhouse, even though I have Vets in my city. That's how good they are!

She’s feeling healthy, happy, and officially ready for fall! Dr. Thiels was incredible—thorough, kind, and calm (which is a big deal because Hailey can be a little wary of new humans). He did a full physical and ran a battery of labs, all with a gentle touch and genuine care. Hailey gave him two tail wags and a nose boop of approval. The Vet Tech was also amazing—Hailey got her allergy shot and labs a champ and we received thoughtful advice on her nutrition and caloric needs. She’s been on a slow-and-steady doggie diet, and now we’ve got a plan that’s working. And let’s clear up a myth: Waterhouse Animal Hospital may be in a “fancy” part of town, but it’s not overpriced—it’s high-tech, state-of-the-art, and worth every penny. Experiencia negativa: Customer service & care no longer living up to their reputation. I've been taking my rescue bulldogs here for 5 years. We established with Dr. Raine Williams by recommendation of an ER vet when our frenchie was diagnosed with IVDD. This frenchie is reactive and has to wear a special muzzle for vet visits, but Dr. Williams was on the floor with him, petting him, and was able to get him to settle down when she took him to the back. She said he was well behaved and even let her do the cold wand treatment on his back with no issue. After feeling like our frenchie was in great hands here, we established our other bulldog with Dr. Williams. The care he received there was top tier, especially when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Fast forward to last year. Dr. Williams is no longer available for appts so we had to start scheduling with a different doctor. The care ever since has been dismissive. We adopted another rescue bulldog, established her there, and have taken her there multiple times for the same set of symptoms that were progressively getting worse. Her symptoms were dismissed as behavioral and there were no further tests recommended or treatment planning until a couple months ago when we took her in again and insisted on further testing. After testing, we were finally able to get her on a treatment plan that resolved the root cause but it should not have taken almost a year of her suffering. Our other frenchie (the reactive one) needed a procedure done this past week and he experienced unnecessary distress due to a medication reaction that was not taken seriously and for which no further action planning for after his procedure was discussed at the time of drop off. I don't expect any staff members to put their safety at risk when dealing with a reactive dog. I do expect collaborative & productive discussions on options and to be included in decision-making to set my dog up for success since I know him best. Also - good luck calling & scheduling an appt. My husband & I have spent a lot of time this past year calling inbetween meetings during the week to try to schedule an appt and they put you on hold EVERY TIME. I've been there several times these past few months, including this past Wednesday, and have seen up to 4 ladies chatting about their personal lives and when the phone rings, they answer it, put them on hold, and completely forget about it. On Wednesday, 8/13/25 at around 2PM, a female with short choppy black hair answered the phone, put the call on hold, and then started gossiping about that pet owner. I've notified them and even sent screenshots showing them that I'm not able to schedule using their website's scheduler. So when you call & they immediately put you on hold - please know that 99% of the time, they're not busy, there's no one else on the line, they just don't feel like providing customer service. If you have dogs like mine who need high quality care, establish them elsewhere. If you are a Practice Manager for Waterhouse Fresno - be aware that there are many people trying to schedule appts and are unable to due to your reception staff or lack thereof.

Experiencia fantástica: Waterhouse Animal Hospital truly saved my dog’s “ZEUS” life. They also take care of my little Chihuahua haze whenever He needs to care. Though Zeus seems to be a little bit more problematic here and there lol heres a story of how they saved Zeus life AND mine! After spending over $4,000 at two different emergency animal hospitals and getting no real answers, my dog Zeus was still declining—he stopped eating, walking, and eventually drinking water. I was desperate and made one last search on Google for the best vet in Fresno… That’s when I found Waterhouse Animal Hospital on Champlain & Perrin. From the moment I called, their staff was responsive and compassionate. They took Zeus in immediately and within one hour, they diagnosed him with Addison’s disease—something the other clinics completely missed. They explained everything clearly and said his condition was critical, but treatable. Even though they don’t typically offer overnight hospitalization, they made an exception for Zeus because of how serious it was. They kept him overnight, stabilized him, and truly brought him back to life. Since then, Zeus has become a regular at Waterhouse for monthly treatments, and I honestly consider them family now. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely care about every animal that walks through their doors. I don’t know where Zeus or I would be without them. If you’re ever in need of a vet who goes above and beyond, Waterhouse is it.

The vet explained options very clearly and explained what decision would be best. I really love them, they have a new client for life!

Experiencia negativa: I brought my baby Sphynx cat to Waterhouse Animal Hospital, hoping for compassionate and competent veterinary care. Unfortunately, what I experienced was the complete opposite — a deeply unsettling and careless visit that left both me and my pet shaken. From the moment we arrived, I had concerns, but things took a serious turn for the worse when Dr. Ravinsky attempted to administer vaccines. My kitten was understandably nervous, and instead of calming him, the doctor repeatedly mishandled him — missing multiple times while trying to give a simple injection. Each failed attempt increased my cat’s distress, and it was clear there was a lack of patience or proper handling skills. My kitten was so frightened by the ordeal that he urinated out of fear. Shockingly, rather than addressing the trauma he had just endured, Dr. Ravinsky immediately suggested we run a urine test — as if the fear-induced accident was an unrelated medical issue. This felt less like a genuine concern for my cat’s well-being and more like an opportunistic upsell. At that point, I had seen enough. I walked out, absolutely horrified by the lack of care, professionalism, and basic empathy shown by the staff at Waterhouse. As a pet parent, especially to a young and sensitive breed like a Sphynx, I expect a vet to treat animals with respect and gentleness. What I witnessed was the exact opposite — careless handling, unnecessary procedures, and a blatant disregard for my pet’s emotional state. I would strongly caution anyone who truly cares about their animals to consider another clinic. Waterhouse Animal Hospital is not a place I would ever trust with my pets again.

The whole experience (Daphne had to go back for physical therapy & x-rays after surgery) has been a very positive one. Experiencia fantástica: Took my dog BRUCIE in because of hives all over his body and my just absolutely wonderful vet Dr. Thiels checked him out, gave him a shot of Benadryl and within 10 minutes they were gone. But Dr. did a complete physical on him to see if he noticed anything wrong on his body to cause these hives and he did an amazing exam and found a pimple size mark on him that make a long story short turned out to be a Mass Cell Tumor Don’t know the extent of what degree it is at until Dr. Schedules surgery to take it out. I am terribly worried let alone saddened but thankful Dr. found it in his exam. This Dr. is the very best out there as he has kept my dogs mama alive for 6 years as she has a blood disorder that previous Dr there at Waterhouse missed! Our family is forever grateful for Dr. Thiels!!!

I've been going here for 25 years and left a few times but never got the quality service and diagnostic expertise that I get from the vets at Waterhouse.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my 11-year old Pekingese here for almost 5 years for everything from dental cleanings to foxtail removal. All of the staff are very kind and seem to be animal lovers. The location is a plus!

Experiencia fantástica: My dog and I saw Dr L. Bradhurst to throughly examine Emma as she has problems with her hips, legs and one knee. It was previously stated by another vet that she needs orthopedic surgeries after reviewing eats. Dr Bradhurst was very methodical during her entire examination of her. She stated at this point her hips and knee do not require orthopedic surgery. Case is too mild at this time. However she did find that she is painful in the back neck area and within the middle part of her spine. At the age of 9 months she was diagnosed with SYRINGOMYELIA which has to do with the skeletal size of the skull and the brain. Extremely serious medical condition. Dr Bradhurst recommended we do another MRI to check on the current progression of SYRINGOMYELIA. Emma will have her MRI next week. Thank you Dr. Bradhurst for your very extensive physical examination of Emma. It’s also very obvious the compassion had for Emma. Through this exam I became more and more impressed with Dr Bradhurst’s knowledge. I highly recommend Dr. Bradhurst as a veterinarian for your pets. Thank you for everything. Dianne H.

Experiencia positiva: I have to give Waterhouse, Fresno great reviews. We live in Clovis and transferred over to the Fresno location after receiving poor service and a misdiagnosis from the Clovis location. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because this practice has become so very busy- it is difficult to get through when you call. I did download the app and hope that will make making appointments easier. Overall they deserve a very high rating- great care and great service.

Experiencia fantástica: My 3-yr-old mini doodle had to have tooth extractions due to slab fracture. Everyone who worked here called to update anytime there was a change in the procedure. After the exam, the girl who had us in a room to explain the procedure was so thorough. Price was reasonable for what was done. Would recommend this vet

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Waterhouse Animal Hospital. Our Pickle has been coming here since she was 8 weeks old and is now 9½ years old. She is a very energetic and sometimes anxious Aussie, but the team here is patient with her and always does everything they can to make her comfortable. We have received excellent care and information from every doctor here, but Pickle absolutely loves Dr. Bradhurst.
