Experiencia negativa: I brought my dog to hope clinic he had gotten hurt or stung his face was swollen mind you ive been going there for at least 15 years or so spaying and neutering stray...made an appointment came all the way from the foothills and we were about 15 to 20 min late due to traffic they said they weren't going to see me. I asked to see a manager. the main manager is a real jerk he refused to see my dog even though he could have the office was completely empty now he refuses to let me bring rescued animals there i thought they were a nonprofit, but apparently this guy runs everything.I guess he really doesn't care about animals like I thought

Experiencia fantástica: Update: Ion had help crossing the rainbow bridge and it could not have been a more easy decision with this clinic and Dr. Reyes. Knowing his quality of life as he declined would not be well. We were bought more time and we couldn’t appreciate it more. The tech that helped us through was genuine through out the whole experience. Thank you everyone. Without a place like this I wouldn’t have been able to do it. Dr Reyes at Wellness has been amazing with Ion for a whole year. It took awhile but we have found what works for my old boy. We are so happy. I wouldn’t have been able to do all this at a regular vet with inflated prices as I am on permanent disability but Ion has been with me through thick and thin. To have a caring vet means everything. Thank you!

I do still believe that the confirmation info should be on the first page. ORIGINAL REVIEW...It's Friday afternoon and I just made an appointment for this coming Monday only to find out AFTER the appointment is booked that because I'm booking on a Friday I won't even get a confirmation of the appointment until Monday. That information should be on the FIRST PAGE of the appointment section not at the end. I'm off on Monday, so if my appointment is not confirmed for that day I guess Hope Foundation just got $19 from me for doing absolutely nothing. I've been going there for years but if this doesn't work out they will never see me again.

Experiencia fantástica: As always, H.O.P.E. runs like a well-oiled machine. We brought our puppy Zero in at 8 am and he was done by 10:20 am to be picked up two hours later. We've never had a bad experience at H.O.P.E. and it is our preferred location to get our pets spayed or neutered. They are the best!

Experiencia negativa: Check-in was great. I was impressed. **However, I did not have the same experience with pick up. my dog was spayed and was lost in the “text system”. I was not notified she was ready. I waited 7 hrs so I just drove there. Upon pick up the staff was abrupt and not compassionate. Service was poor and what I felt is that they made me wait intentionally longer to get my dog and her necessary post surgical items. Hopefully my dog is ok.

I will never again go to Hope Animal Foundation "hoping" for a parking spot first of all in their TINY TINY parking space and "hoping" for an appointment I made by phone would be granted, but when I got there, they had no record of my appointment!!! CHOOSE Abby Pet Hospital off Ashlan & Hwy 168. More centralized in town and not on the BFE side of Fresno that took me 30 minutes to drive to and be told I had no appointment! Plus, they mandate a charge upon booking which is insane and of which you may not get back! THIS PLACE IS OVERCROWDED, OVER BOOKED, AND HAS NO PARKING SPACES FORCING YOU TO PARK ON THE STREET = PUTTING YOU AND YOUR ANIMAL(S) AT RISK!

Experiencia positiva: I got both my cats spayed and neutered. They are doing well and that was fine, however, they charged me $5 for pain meds for the boy and $20 for the girl. Why was the girl more? They made me buy a $15 plastic cone. Which would have been okay but I brought one in. That we literally put on her there. For a discount spay and neuter place they try to get you for as much money as they can after the fact. If I didn't want the cone I wasn't allowed to get her PAIN meds for a spay. (But could get the boy those meds without the cone) Which is absolutely crazy to me. In that moment it was more about the money than the animal. (Ps. The cone they sold cost less than $2 online) I also got a microchip for $25 each and didnt get any paperwork for the chip.

Experiencia fantástica: A service that's really needed. Someone dumped a little cat in our neighborhood (again). He was underfed and in a bad way. Several of us in the neighborhood were caring for him. I finally took him in as my cat but wasn't sure how I was going to take care of him on my budget. I saw a coupon on the HOPE animal foundation website. They were impressively nice and helpful. So happy they were able to help. I live in an income based senior housing arrangement and we literally watch people drive in and just dump their animals thinking that the elderly will care for them and most of us are on very limited incomes and many dumped animals are not cared for properly. Thank you very much HOPE ANIMAL FOUNDATION. Also, thank you very much for the coupon making it only forty dollars.

Experiencia positiva: I really like this vet office. Check in is pretty hectic because it gets extremely busy. The only part I don’t like is how one of the people at the front desk told me to go back outside and wait. It was freezing out and I wasn’t in anyone’s way. I literally went outside for only a few minutes then got called to re enter. This bothered me because they didn’t tell anyone else to go outside in a rude way. I also witnessed this same person assisting other guests and she has terrible communication skills to be working at a front desk in a hectic setting. I told her it was bad customer service. Anyways, the rest of my experience was great! Every other person working there presented themselves professionally. I will recommend this vet to others

Today the time to pickup my cat was not at an usual time, but with all the rush this morning I was not aware if the early closing time. When I called the receptionist was rude. Im an easy tyoe of person so I explained that I was not aware of the early pickup in a soft tone. But in an aggressive tone she responded we told you three times. This is not the first time staff is rude to me..We try to do good and spade street animals keep them safe. It is hard to understand why the redness...can this nonprofit business hire or provide customers services.. or do they think because they are nonprofit they are servincing lower class humans? If their is such? Who are your board member?

I took my cat in to get spayed and the front receptionist when I went to set the appointment up seemed annoyed and condescending when I was asking her basic questions about prices. I’m appalled at how a person who is meant to work with the public can talk in such a manner not sure if this has happened with anyone else or if it was just the approach that I received

Due to Fresno’s extreme pet over-population problem, and the fact that I live near an apartment complex, where people often abandon their pets when they move, I take any free-roaming cat that I see around my house to be spayed and neutered at HOPE. Their prices make it affordable to do so, especially when there are generous promotions. If I could suggest one improvement, please bring back the QR code on the sandwich board sign or perhaps please put the sign-in link in the appointment reminder email, as lots of customers scan the QR code on the window and then do not move from the window. This is not a reflection of HOPE, but a reflection of the customers ‍♀️

Experiencia fantástica: I love Hope Wellness Center for checkups for my pets! Make an appt online- they dont accept walk-ins. You pay when you make your appt.- 40 dollars. You wont be able to take your pet here for emergencies because the appts for sick pets is like 4- 5 days out, but its great for non-emergencies. Just fyi you have to have your pet spayed/neutered or they charge extra.

The appointment process on-line was easy to follow. The morning drop-off and pick-up procedures moved along at an easy pace. Our cats and dog had no complications. The most difficult thing was trying to keep our critters from running around too soon! We highly recommend HOPE.

Experiencia fantástica: Everything went smooth until they brought Molly out? Molly turned out to be a boy so I had to re-name Molly to Mo! Why I never looked? Lol, that's what my daughter told me, she is a teacher!

Experiencia negativa: I had my dog neutered. Within one week I had to take my dog back to be assessed for possible infection. My dogs collar came off and he had licked the glue that held the incision together..This visit, they said that the incision was in fact infected. The Vet gave antibiotics and stapled in a circle around the incision. This did not close the site and only made the area more angry. My poor boy did not get any pain medication on this visit. They did send the antibiotics. I emailed two days later and showed them a picture of the incision.. they told me I can do a walk-in from 10 to 3:20 PM Monday through Friday. The Vet would only look at the incision and if I had any other issues which would be my dog not urinating or having a bowel movement in 3 days. I would have to discuss this with a different veterinarian. I am so disappointed by the way this Vet takes care of the animals that walk through the doors. I had to take my dog to another Vet today. He was given pain meds and a cream to help the incision area. I was able to talk with the vet and ask questions that they answered. My new Vet said they have never seen staples in a circular pattern on the outside of the incision'. The only way to communicate with HOPE animal Vet is by email. I wish I could add a picture to this post. Please take your fur babies to a Vet that you can talk with and have your concerns addressed.

Experiencia negativa: The level of negligence and disregard for proper post-operative care demonstrated by HOPE Foundation is unacceptable, and we feel it is necessary to report this incident. If you had a similar incident I HIGHLY encourage to report them to the California state veterinary Boards. When I arrived to pick up my puppy, I immediately noticed a foul odor emanating from her. Her tail and bottom were visibly wet, and I informed the veterinary technician that I believed she had soiled herself. I was told that this was "normal" and was not offered any assistance with cleaning her. After I left the office and helped my puppy into the backseat of my car, I noticed another unpleasant odor. Upon closer inspection, I realized that my hands were covered in a brown substance, which I later determined to be feces. The feces was smeared all over my car’s back seat, and I was shocked by the extent of the mess. I tried to take a few pictures, but the situation was overwhelming as I tried to clean my puppy, who was covered in both feces and urine. The feces appeared to have been on my puppy for an extended period, as it had crusted into her paws and was present on her incision site. This led me to believe that she had been left in this condition for several hours, which I found deeply concerning. I immediately returned to the office and informed the receptionist about the state in which my puppy had been returned to me. No apology was offered. I requested towels or wipes to help clean my puppy and my car, but I was told there were no towels available and was directed to a public restroom for paper towels. No staff member offered to assist with the situation. It wasn’t until my mother intervened that a staff member came out to assess the situation, at which point they took my puppy back to "clean her." However, the cleaning was inadequate, and I had to continue cleaning my puppy once I got home. After explaining the situation to my husband, he promptly called the facility to speak with a manager but received no response. He followed up with an email on the same day, stating that if my puppy developed any infections as a result of the negligence, we would expect the facility to cover the associated medical expenses. Despite several attempts by my husband to contact the facility via phone and email, we received no response until he visited in person. Throughout this process, the facility denied responsibility, and we were told that our puppy was not covered in feces, despite photographic evidence to the contrary. Unfortunately, my puppy did develop a severe urinary tract infection (UTI), which caused bleeding, straining, and incontinence. She required a week of wearing diapers to manage the condition. We consulted our primary veterinarian, who confirmed that the likely cause of the infection was the neglectful care at HOPE Foundation. According to our veterinarian, this type of infection is typically “ascending” and can result from prolonged exposure to feces and urine. We have made repeated attempts to contact HOPE Foundation to seek compensation for the additional veterinary care required to treat my puppy’s infection, but to date, our calls and emails have been ignored. Update as of 9/22/2025: They emailed stating this incident does not meet the criteria for a refund.

Experiencia negativa: This was my first time coming here and unfamiliar with the difference between Hope Foundation building and Wellness center. I went early checked in by scanning with my phone. I put on reason for visit, my dogs bad teeth and gums. Went inside waited over 25 minutes or more got up to ask of we've been called as people after us were being called. I was told go to the next building over to the Wellness center thats where he should be. It was behind the building not the street where we walked too. Got the the correct building let them know I wasn't notified I was at the immunization building only so I was seen as really late. The receptionist checked to see if I could still be seen but was told no. I'd have to reschedule. No thank you. $40 to wait and wasn't told which building I should have been in. Won't be going back. A sign with an arrow ➡️ pointed towards the building would be nice. Thank you.

Experiencia positiva: Brought my 6 month old kitten in to get spayed 6 days ago, I’m happy with the prices for services as well as the service I received. The only issue I had with experience overall was the fact that I had to take her in yesterday because I was so worried about the way her incision was looking. My family and I have had quite a few animals spayed/neutered at this business for quite a few years, never have we seen an incision look like this for an extended amount of time. I just wish that the office would have given me a heads up that specific surgeons have specific methods of closing up the wound and although her incision is not super neat (and pretty lumpy) she would heal up fine, it would have saved me the worry as well as time/money but I am overall happy my cat seems to be healing up well.

My last cat is going to have her eye surgery there as well. All the staff is awesome, very caring, polite and professional. I love that my babies are in good hands.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place and affordable prices. Took my doodle there for her spay. Appointment was made by wife; I believe she did it online. I was the one who dropped off and picked up the hairy baby. At arrival, many (including i) were not aware we had to scan the QR code on the front door to check-in. Our fault because it clearly states so on the door. It probably mentioned it on the email as well, but it was sent to the wife's which i wouldn't have seen. When they first open the door for the day, it may be a bit chaotic. Lots of people and pets waiting by the door. An unsocialized/anxious dog will not have a good time. Bit noisy and lots of strangers will be invading the personal space of your hairy money-pit aka pet. Other than that, the place is good. Staff provided good service and was as prompt as can be, given how busy they are in the early morning. You and your pet will be treated well by the business and faculty at a very affordable price, now how other customers (pet and people) treat you is out of their control and that experience will differ from one to another.

However, I believe there could be improvements in the organization of paperwork ahead of surgeries. It’s essential for the process to flow smoothly, just as when you see your doctor prior to an operation; paperwork should be handled well in advance, not at the last minute. A little more structure would enhance the overall experience and help maintain professionalism during such critical times.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog here in 2020 and my kitten here in 2025 both females my dog was older already and my kitten is 4 month , both expirences went well no complications with my dog and the kitten was just done today but so far everything is good she used the restroom poop and pee normally she ate and drank normally so I would recommend this place they used to be more affordable because they offered specials and used to take discounts off for having medical but I think the cost was still within reasonable price.

From scheduling the appointment, receiving a reminder text about the appointment, to the check in process, texting you when surgery is completed, pick up, aftercare instructions and documentation and billing documents, all is a smooth process. Experiencia fantástica: Got my 6 month old lab spayed a couple of weeks ago and everything came out great. She was her silly self again with in 2 days it was amazing. The price was good especially for the package deal and a dog of her size. They got her in super quick and texted us a couple hours later that they were done. Thank you all for taking good care of my baby girl clover.

Experiencia negativa: The wellness center is not very efficient. 1. Even if you’re an established owner & patient, you’re greeted with the same form to fill out each time. What’s the point of submitting my information and confirming my appointment via text? 2. Your an appointment time is never on time, even if you choose the earliest appointment time slot. I have waited, on average, over 30-45 minutes passed by appointment time. 3. The only saving grace is that the prices are reasonable and that I live nearby, otherwise, I’d consider going elsewhere.

Experiencia positiva: It is very hard to talk to an actual person, especially if you want to cancel an appointment. The vaccine clinic and the wellness clinic don't seem to share info in regards to vaccines. Everyone was friendly and helpful at the appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: Hope Animal Foundation took amazing care of my fur baby! The staff was kind, professional, and truly cared about my pet’s well-being. I was impressed by the quality of service, especially at such a low cost. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for affordable, compassionate veterinary care!

Experiencia negativa: Third visit for three kittens I rescued just a reminder don’t ask any questions because they will talk right over you so be sure when you sign up you know exactly what you are doing

Experiencia positiva: We have been takimg our pets here for the last 9 years to get neutered/spayed. They have always been very polite and genuine with us. They treated our pets like their own and you can really see the people here enjoy their jobs. I would recomend this place for anyone needing get their pets fixed. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the fact that we got 3 Kittens at Christmas of 2024 and we signed up all 3 Kittens online, 2 weeks ahead of time, and paid for them only to be told just the day before the appointment that they limit 2 per family each appointment. They should really advertise the limit on their site or program their Sign-Up form to stop then alert the same person when trying to sign up more than the alotted 2 per appointment. Other then this minute managment oversight this is where we will take our business for all future animals. We will just be aware of it in the future. :)

Experiencia fantástica: HOPE is an exceptional facility! It is run like a week-oiled machine! My dog was well taken care of! The people who pork there are kind, patient and tolerant! Very professional! The pricing makes it possible for all of us to be able to spay or neuter our dogs and cats! I thank the most sincerely for a job well done! The whole experience was awesome!
