Experiencia fantástica: I can not say enough good things about this place! I live about an hour away and my vet did not have availability that day. Since it was urgent I took my puppy here and thwy treated him so well! The staff was very friendly to both of us. They took such good care of my puppy and expla ed everything to me in detail . My puppy even got a little bandana from the staff. The price was very reasonable for what was done and safe to say I will definitely be switching vets and driving an hr away to keep taking him there.

Experiencia negativa: To be fair, our experience was both positive and negative at Abby Pet Hospital. The doctor was great. The support staff unfortunately overshadowed the positives here. I have attached notes elaborating on my experience since it was too large to post on google. Please see the attached letter. The support staff here was well deserving of my 1 star review. Erica in specific, who flat out lied about our interaction. It's a shame people have to bring themselves to that. Dr. Tovar, if you read this, I apologize as I know this doesn't reflect on you at all. Abby Pet Hospital requested me to give a review of my experience, so here it is!

Experiencia fantástica: My dog injured her foot and my vet didn’t have any appointments for a few days. They recommended Abby Pet Hospital as they took walk-ins. Unfortunately, the doctor that saw walk-ins was not in that day, but they were able to secure an appointment for me later that day. Everyone was so nice there and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them!

Over the years, Kitty, Brownie, Little Kitty, and Gray have all received care here. Dr. Collins has been our primary vet, and I truly appreciate how kind and compassionate she is. She genuinely cares about her patients and takes the time to make sure they are well cared for. She has been a pillar of Abby Pet Hospital for many years, and that consistency means a lot. I felt like my kitty was very well cared for and we were given options For her healing. Sadly, she was too sick to recover. However, my experience at Abby pet Hospital was still a very positive one.

Experiencia negativa: Had a peaceful experience saying goodbye to my boy.. getting him in was kinda troublesome not much help. I came here because this was his vet but I definitely would have went elsewhere if I knew they were gonna send him home 4weeks later in the cheapest tin with a magnet with his name..Very disappointing because this was not what was described.. wish I picked a better place for him but that’s my fault I guess! Good vet , not the best for end of life care..

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely 0 stars I had a horrendous experience and was led to believe these people cared I thanked them for there flexibility and compassion but when I got there it was a whole different story my cats sibling had had the same injury about a week prior (puncture wound) and the vet was completely cold and unempathetic and told me my cat needed major surgery and gave me a bill for 2,000 said there wasn't any other option I also had brought with me my antibiotics from my cats sibling when he got bit because I had given him a dose of it since his paw was getting bigger and bigger and i live in the mountains so it takes me a while to get down to town and the nurse told me they were expired and took them from me and never gave them back they said I had no other option I left in tears and thankfully got a second opinion abd a third abd they said all he needed was some antibiotics abd gabapentin if he seems to be in any pain i felt like my trust was betrayed they acted like they cared about me and my animal and working with me financially but no they did not i would highly not recommend

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience Treated with respect. Great staff. They accommodated an emergency for serious abscess on my cat's neck that turned necrotic. Initial consultation, surgery, prescriptions and two follow-up appointments were included in one, itemized bill. No surprises! It was an extremely reasonable price to save my kitty's life! Will be returning to Abby Pet Hospital. Lexa was great!

Experiencia positiva: This absolutely would’ve been a 5 star review if it weren’t for the receptionist, I believe to be Victoria. Danny has always been WONDERFUL!! And I’d give her 5 stars individually if I could. We came in today, Feb 6, at around 1-1:15pm. Now, we are regulars, and this has happened several times that we’ve come in. There’s an empty counter/lobby, no wait, and we approach the first computer, the one all the way to the left with (Victoria?), the Hispanic girl with the vulture wings on her eyelids. She WATCHED us walk in and reach the counter. We approached the counter and said hi, and she ignored us completely like we just didn’t exist, and proceeded to turn around and leave. Danny noticed and immediately greeted us and helped us so nicely like she always does, we moved over to her computer since the other girl had just left and ignored us to our faces. I just find it VERY unprofessional to act like that at your place of work, especially being one of the faces of the establishment. Since she’s done it several times, I thought she might be a trainee without access or authority to check people in, BUT she proceeded to assist BOTH of the next guys who walked in no problem! Don’t work in customer service if you don’t want to serve customers, because you have tainted our experiences with Abby Pet Hospital. Everybody else has ALWAYS been SO SWEET and helpful. She has been rude EVERY time we’ve come and it makes us not even want to return. I forgot the name of the girl who took our frenchie Guapo back for his vaccination (with the awesome green eyes), but she was wonderful and so sweet. Guapo loved her

Experiencia fantástica: The assistant that came into the room & the Vet were both so sweet. I had to use the ER Express and after checking in it only took about an hour to get X-Ray, blood test, in addition to a shot, fluids, etc. It was very affordable compared to the Vet ER places I’m very glad I went here. They listened, got the work done, and gave my dog what she needs to sustain herself.

Experiencia fantástica: On October 19, 2025, our dog Peach became very sick with vomiting and lethargy. After testing, we were told it was likely a stomach issue, and while she improved with medication, she never fully returned to normal. Over the next couple of months, she continued to struggle with eating and occasional vomiting, and we worked with her vet believing it was a food sensitivity. On December 30, we brought her back after a difficult night of vomiting and distress. Dr. Meneses truly listened to our concerns, took the time to explain our options, and treated us with great compassion. Tragically, Peach passed away a few hours later while receiving care. Although we knew she was ill, we never expected to lose her that day. The kindness shown by Dr. Meneses and the Abby Pet Hospital team meant everything to us. The handwritten sympathy cards we received afterward were incredibly thoughtful and have brought comfort during our grief. We are deeply grateful for the care and compassion shown to our beloved Peach.

Patient, willing to explain things in detail, etc. I used to bring my foster dogs here and was so impressed with how the doctors, techs, and office staff conducted themselves I decided to bring my own animals here. Experiencia positiva: It was Christmas time and my small chihuahua eaten an unknown amount of chocolate. I immediately called them no answer no response to voice messages. So I drove down and they immediately toook the dog and checked her vitals. About a hour later they told me I had t call poison center in Oklahoma and pay them $110 so they could tell them how to treat my dog. Apparently they didn’t know what to do. I don’t think there was a vet there as I never spoke to one. So after several hours they said I could take her home. After spending over $400 they just caused her to vomit and hydration. I was very disappointed in the price and minimal treatment I asked a lot of questions but they were unable to answer.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to say goodbye to my good girl today and every employee that helped out was very compassionate and friendly. The office is clean and welcoming. I would recommend them not only for long term care but quality of life decisions as well.

Getting high quality care for guinea pigs can be difficult but they showed care and compassion for my little one and Dr Bangtson successfully performed a spay/exploratory surgery (about $1400 but worth it) that saved my piggies life, I highly recommend this place for any “exotic” pet owners

You can tell she truly loves her work. I was so worried about my kitty, but her warmth and smile made it known I was in great hands. Experiencia fantástica: Just had a fantastic experience with getting an abscess treated for our cat. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, and really on point with fast check-in. Dr. Bangtson is amazing and my son and I were impressed with the staff we came in contact with . You really get the feeling that everyone knows their making a difference, and they definitely did for us.

Experiencia fantástica: Our little dog was attack by another dog while we were out of town in Fresno and a family member referred us to this veterinary. We were served quickly even though we just walked in! Every person we encountered were kind caring and professional.Dr. Hannon was very cautious putting in a drain tube to the wounds to prevent infection and the assistant explained the post care well. Our dog has healed perfectly! If we lived in Fresno this would be our vet.

This is a continuous problem with this hospital. You’d think that you’d fix it. Price for services rendered was very fair.

They listened to what I said, they repeated what I needed and they addressed the issue. Price was fair. Place is clean, well run and on time. My vet was excellent and personable. Highly recommended. They are legit and unfortunately in tbe world of veterinary care, that isnt always the case.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience. I am a German Shepherd owner and he can be very picky about who can touch him. Dr. Hannon was amazing! My big baby took immediately to him. Dr Hannon listened and was not quick to put him on all types of meds and give unneeded tests. My BIg Baby is already showing signs of improvement after 1 day. Dr Hannon is his new vet for sure!

Experiencia fantástica: Our cat Jasper has a very thick long coat of hair and had mats because he will go into attack mode when trying to get him groomed or brush him. We had the vet sedate him and cut him into a lion cut. They said they weren’t groomers so we should not have those expectations but he came out darling and is now mat free! Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Abby's Pet. Our dog had a uterine infection. We had went to an emergency vet the night prior and were quoted it would be 8,000 to save her life. Which unfortunately was completely out of our budget. We told them what we could afford and they were willing to work with us. All the staff were very sweet with our dog Luna. I can tell the vet that did the surgery sincerely cared about our dog.

Experiencia positiva: I really love the front staff and the vets, they’re always kind, patient, and understanding. But the vet assistants… that’s a different story. They come off untrained, overwhelmed, and way too judgmental. Every time I deal with them, I walk away feeling like I’m a bad pet owner when I know damn well I take great care of my animals. They need better training, better bedside manner, and honestly a reminder that clients come in already stressed and worried. The way they speak and react makes the whole experience uncomfortable, and it completely takes away from the amazing job the actual vets and front staff do. I hope they improve that part of the team, because everything else about this clinic is great the assistants are the only thing that consistently ruins the experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to 24/7 pet vets here in Fresno before coming to Abby pet hospital and they charged me 200 dollars for what we already knew was parvo. They gave me 3 options. 1200 for out patient, 4500 for inpatient.or death. Very negative doctor and staff. Ready to put my dog to sleep. But you guys are like bright positive light and worked with me financially with something for a dog that I found in the orchards by my house that was only 8-10 weeks old. Experiencia negativa: I’m extremely disappointed with the care my dog received at Abby Pet Hospital. I scheduled an X-ray for my dog’s luxating patella and followed all of their instructions, including dropping her off at 7:50 AM and withholding food after 10 PM the night before. When I called at 2:30 PM, I was shocked to learn that they hadn’t even examined her yet. My dog had been sitting in a cage for over six hours, which is especially upsetting because her knee luxates the most when she’s in a confined space. For a procedure that was estimated to cost over $600, I expected at least basic consideration and communication. Instead, it was clear that my dog was not treated as a priority. This experience was stressful, disorganized, and unacceptable. I will never bring my pets here again.

Experiencia negativa: The staff at the front was gossiping about another customer and one girl was eating. Only one other person was in there when I was there. A nail trimming for $49.99 is extremely overpriced. I have been going to Abby for over 25 yrs. I only go there if that's the only choice.

Experiencia negativa: This is the most horrible place to take your pet in. If you could stay away from this hospital please do so. The manager is the worse human being that only cares about the money not the pets.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my Chihuahua for vomiting and not able to tolerate food. Dr Tovar took care of her. She is very professional, very knowledgeable. Our dog received excellent care.overall the staff are excellent. .

Experiencia negativa: We came here because my dogs face was swelling up and we didnt know why so we came here , we come in they said they too many walkins for the day and didnt want to take my dog in wasted money to get here too , thats wrong wont be coming here again and it was 5 oclock and they close at 7 gave her a collar told her to take her somewhere else thats not professional at all im furious wont be coming here ever again. Lobby was empty too didnt look like there was any walkins either.

Experiencia negativa: Cost me $600 to do test work on my dog and now it's been 2 weeks and I keep calling them and they're not returning my phone calls. I have even left a voicemail. Just a little frustrating when I'm worried about my pet and paid for the service and now I can't even get a hold of them or the test results.

I took our 7 year old rottie Greta in about a yr ago even though the results came back that she would need to be put down we left there feeling that they did all that was possible for her. So, when we brought home our next rottie there was no question we took her to Abby and Dr. Karkula

Experiencia negativa: My sister took her fur baby because he wasn't breathing and instead of them taking him in right away.(he died in her arms there while taking her deposit) They worried more about getting paid first. Then they took him in when he was gone. My sister is traumatized about how they wanted a deposit before taking her baby in. Wasting time when they could of been seeing her baby right away. The receptionist made sure to tell the vet that she took the deposit before they took him in. How rude and unprofessional. This hospital doesn't care about your fur baby. They care about getting paid first even if it's an emergency. Worst service ever. So insensitive to her feelings and needs at the time. Take your loved pets somewhere else. Where they will be treated with love and respect. Your only a $ sign to this place. That is how my sister and her baby were treated here.

Experiencia negativa: Was very disappointed first time went to the place because I called other vet that I needed an emergency asap for my dog because my dog hair falling and was scratching herslef so much so other places of vet offer me this place that they take walk in. So I went in the employee in the front was nice n they told me it'll be a couple hours n for me to go home they will notify on the phone but I was like couple hours I can wait. I got there before close to 15 other people but instead of helping me first that I got there they help the people that did walk in after me. I don't know if they are regular or appointment but I know for the fact of 2 hrs they never call me but kept on calling patients that came in after me only. they had me sign in on the phone that itll tell me how many more poeple is in front of me but it kept on going up n down whenever they take in other patients dog that came after me. Even after they took everyone in i waited for over 3.5hrs and I was the only one there still didn't even take me in people that still walk in after me still got help first. Very disappointed if you don't take walk in don't let other vet refer your place. You should take the walk in out.

Experiencia positiva: Good for general preventative care, but not for anything concerning. Took in my French Bulldog when he had vomiting for several days that progressed to anorexja for over a week. He was not improving. He had lost weight. We were told it could be pneumonia, pancreatitis, or a bowel obstruction. The only real tests done were X-rays and labs. He was dehydrated, hypokalemic, and down 4lb. They said they may have seen a bowel obstruction, but were not sure. The next day, they said repeat xray showed whatever they saw may have moved to the colon. They really weren’t even sure if they saw anything. After spending over $1K and an overnight stay, I asked what the plan was from here, since we had no answers. Supposedly he had eaten some food there. With antiemetics on board. We were told he could stay another night for more IVF. I wasn’t going to spend another large sum of money just for IVF, so we left. By the way, they sent lab results to the next vet I took him to, and there was no pancreatitis panel done. 2 more vet visits later, he was found to have a mass in his small intestine with a simple FAST exam. A quick ultrasound. He has now had surgery to remove the mass, which may be cancerous. Honestly, I couldn’t get a single vet to do an ultrasound until I pushed for it. Even the ER. I am not sure why it is so difficult to get a vet to suggest an ultrasound. Every vet we visited wanted to treat the symptoms, rather than find the cause. IV fluids are only going to get you so far. I can’t believe how many vets sent my dog home knowing he was not eating or drinking water. If a dog is not eating or drinking, run all the tests you can so you can rule out what is not going on. Don’t do one exam and when that is negative, assume the dog is fine! Everyone seemed to assume he would start eating eventually. It wasn’t like he had 2 days of symptoms. It was weeks. Even if you aren’t sure what’s going on, suggest to your customers what to do next. Refer them to internal medicine. Refer them to a hospital who can run more tests.

Experiencia fantástica: The fact that I can walk in for a technician visit without an appointment automatically makes Abby Pet Hospital 5 stars for me. Not to mention they were incredibly fast and handle my old girl with care.

Experiencia fantástica: I've had two surgeries on my dog this year with Abby's. Both visits went smoothly. The staff is helpful, prompt and informative. My dogs second surgery was an emergency and on a Saturday. They do not charge more just because of it being a weekend, which helps financially. I appreciate this company.

Experiencia fantástica: Was an unscheduled visit. They got me in within the hour. Hadn't been there in a few years and the Vet remembered my dog! Took her 10 seconds to diagnose Mia and she gave us meds and instructions. The staff is awesome as well! Highly recommend this place!!!

Experiencia fantástica: We brought our dog in on a Saturday morning. Even though they were busy, we saw a good vet pretty quickly. He diagnosed and treated our dog well. The vet and staff were nice and attentive, explaining everything well. He even came away with a nice little scarf at the end.

Experiencia fantástica: The front desk girls were wonderful! Compassionate and caring!. They took my 2 week old baby right in! The veterinarian was very accepting and immediately helped my 2 week old kitten… which had been very sick. Difficulty pooping and peeing then stopped eating. Happy ending … a beautiful angel adopted the tiny kitten and named him Little Biscuit.❤️ Thank you Abbeys Vet!!! *I had taken kitten to a vet… they sent us away. Called a few others… I was told that they do not treat newborns. I am sharing a little Video and a picture that the angel whom adopted sent me. Little Biscuit is doing wonderful! Thank you Abbeys

Experiencia fantástica: At my last visit (with an abandoned, 2-week old kitten), a neonatal animal expert spent extra time with me, showing me how to nurse a baby with an upper respiratory infection. You can tell the staff cares deeply for the pets they're treating and the parents who bring them in. Their offices are also very pretty and clean.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my very large dog spayed yesterday. I was having trouble finding someone to do it. Either the facilities I called were going to charge me over $1200 or wouldn't operate at all due to her size. Abby not only did it, but for less than half of what I was being quoted at 3 other places. And they were so nice and so clean ! Thank you Abby Pet Hospital. I'm so glad I found you for Josie!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve gone to this facility since 2006 and have had universal great care for all my pets. Most recently on an annual health visit, my cat was diagnosed with dental disease. The clinic was able to schedule my cat for a dental procedure the same week. The cost was reasonable for a full mouth of extractions. I highly recommend their practice.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in as an urgent walk in. The staff immediately took my dog for a vitals check. I did have to wait for the vet to assess my dog but the lobby was pleasant except for the hard benches (but I guess they need something easy to clean). The tech brought out water for my dog while we waited. The staff are friendly, compassionate, and they didn’t try to do unnecessary tests.

Experiencia fantástica: I have a 2yr old male panther chameleon and he had a clogged nasal duct that Dr. Slater was able to remove wile being so very gentle with my little man. It’s been a struggle for me to find an actual exotic vet that has experience with chameleons, so I am super grateful to the amazing staff at Abby Pet Hospital and Dr Slater for helping my Mr.T get better !

Experiencia fantástica: Brought in a feral kitten & was pleased that I was called into a room. In the past I had to fill out paperwork in lobby. Tech was very patient as I filled out form. They called & asked if they could do surgery next day & I wanted her surgery same day so they were ok with that. Picked up kitten in afternoon & she’s doing well.

Experiencia fantástica: I can't say enough positive things about Abby Pet Hospital, from their front staff, vet techs and Dr's. I was a walk-in (no appointment) with an emergency for my pup Rebel and I was immediately helped, communicated with along the whole process, and ultimately discharge. Rebel was there for 36 hours and was cared for like she was theirs along with detailed updates while I was gone, which means alot. I was looking for a new vet and I'm glad I was recommended Abby. Also, all things considered, it was affordable given the care she needed.

I will certainly be driving my 2nd tortoise there.it was very clean and well lit.even all the customers were super friendly.i rate this Establishment a A+ 5 star as well A very relieved and happy pet mom...Annie

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Karkula was great. The vet tech who helped us was wonderful; unfortunately, I didn't get her name. The appointment proceeded on time, which was really appreciated. Everything went really well, they were knowledgeable, kind to my cats, fast, and efficient!

Experiencia fantástica: Booked a walk in on a Friday afternoon and was able to get my dog to be seen the next morning! Only waited about 20 minutes to be seen, and was out in about an hour. Best part was the friendly staff. Dr. Hannon was great and very gentle with our dog. Prices are fair as well.
