Experiencia negativa: Don't waste your money here, all they care about is pushing unnecessary appointments on you to get that appointment fee. My dog was just there 2 weeks ago to get medicine prescribed for heart failure. It's a long term medication to slow the progression, not a cure. I had another heart failure dog on it for many years. When I asked why I had to bring her back so soon just to keep getting the medicine prescribed I was told by the staff member it's to "check if she's getting better".... her severe heart failure is not going to "Get better". All it should take is me calling and saying yep, no adverse effects from the medication, can you send in the prescription now? I'm 8 months pregnant and work nights but I have to lose sleep and money for a pointless appointment and good luck speaking to the actual vet over the phone. You and your pet are just another number to these people.

She’s been boarded here, cared for through routine visits, and even had surgery and every single experience has been exceptional. The staff is incredibly compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and treat every animal like their own. They always explain everything clearly, answer all my questions, and go above and beyond to make sure my girl is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Finding a vet you can trust completely is rare, and I trust West Toledo Animal Hospital wholeheartedly with my dog’s health. I can’t recommend them enough!

Experiencia negativa: Changing my old review to a new one. 7 years ago they were great. Now they're terrible. They NEVER answer the phone, it's absolutely ridiculous. Always joking around and having a good time at the front desk but even making people wait at the desk while they joke is absurd. The waiting time to get a dog in is atrocious. I moved to a new vet due to this.

After driving 1 hour and 40 minutes to a veterinary surgical center, the situation was approached with common sense. No additional tests or complicated procedures were necessary.

Experiencia negativa: Nearly 2 months ago i had called to make an appt for my cat, redness in her eyes and I was told to ask the vet (because I’m a first time pet owner) about my cat possibly having an URI, I was told by desk person that it sounded immediate and I needed to bring her in that same day, knowing I couldn’t afford it and I told them I’d be more comfortable waiting a few more days for an opening, but I listened to the professionals and took her in that same day. They found ear mites in her ears, then she proceeded to not treat her or check her for any of the symptoms i actually brought her in for. 2 weeks later, waiting for whatever steroid injection they gave her to work, never did, I called them back and mentioned her eye redness again, they said to come in and pick up OTC eye drops. I did. They didn’t work. They didn’t even care to look at her eye balls even after I mentioned to them in person my concern... 2 months later she is getting X-rays and antibiotics for an advanced respiratory infection. Don’t take your loved one here because they just want you in and out and their paycheck. Sad.

Experiencia negativa: Only in it for the money! Allows poor animals to suffer. Unprofessional, rude, and uncaring. No matter how long you have been a client with then, can't have the compassion to even put a suffering, dying stray kitten down without charing an arm an a leg! Instead letting it suffer, and the slow death of suffocating on its own blood while it's internal organs slowly shut down! Turley pure evil! And Pure greed! I guess that saying money is the root to all evil is correct. Stay away from them find a real vet that actually cares about the well being of the animals!

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going here since 2019. After 6 years I can assure you that this is the worst vet in Toledo. I had to get up and leave today mid appointment. These guys care about money only and I don’t want my loved pet to be treated by a money hungry place. My appointment was at 2:40 but for some reason I could swear that they told me 1:40 over the phone. So I get there at 1:40 and I accept that this might have been my mistake as much as it could be theirs. I didn’t not get seen until 3:35. Literally everybody got seen before me even the ppl that came in after 2:40. The tech tells me that my cat needs to have blood work again because he has “new symptoms”. Even though he got full blood work a couple of weeks ago and paid 700 dollars. A couple of months ago I arrived 45 min late for my cats appointment because my cat made a mess in the car because he has anxiety. They didn’t accept him and made me reschedule even though we always wait a min of 30 min to be seen. I advise everyone to do their own research about them and to be careful. They’re only after your cash. If I could put 0 stars I would.

Experiencia negativa: My cat was shaved horribly a few weeks ago, I requested shortening the hair not shaving and that’s not the only problem. He came with an injury in his stomach and his whiskers got cut! He was depressed and threw up once but he got better. Now that the hair started to grow, the cut is obviously not even, one side is different than the other. Completely unprofessional. It’s worth saying that this is my second time with this hospital, my first time was great that’s why I decided to revisit but it looks like it’s a different staff.

Experiencia negativa: My cat was lethargic and stopped eating. I brought her in for blood work, results were obvious she was dying. This vet tried to up sell me a thousand dollars worth of tests, to confirm it was infact cancer. Money hungry, and heartless. Hopefully you can read your pet's results for yourself, otherwise they are going to rip you off. Heritage Animal Hospital took one look at this vet's results and suggested that she be euthanized.

Sometimes, professionals can be to clinical. They took their time explaining what the aftercare was and what to expect. When my family eventually gets our forever pet, I will be coming here for sure.

They take the time to thoroughly explain any results and/or recommendations to ensure that our dogs remain healthy. Their boarding is just as amazing. Every time we travel we know our pets are in good hands. We get updates daily with pictures. Our dogs get daily enrichment and playtime. Experiencia positiva: 3r s time rating... coming to them for 10 years. While busy right at 8 and 4-5 for pet daycare dropoff and pickup service is generally prompt try not to schedule during those times if you can avoid it. Occasional wait while in the room too. Different Dr. sees your pet during standard checkups, so not much consistency. Contacting them via phone seems to be impossible - recommend you make appointments in person. Prescription refill is easy. Overall, super caring staff! They are great... they can just get overloaded and fall behind often.
Experiencia negativa: My dog was there over the weekend for boarding. When I went to pick him up they told me they had a "miscommunication" he was given a double dose of insulin on Saturday. They told me vet check him and he was "OK" I then asked what time he had his morning dose and they told me they did not give it to him because he did not have enough syringes. I told them I sent enough. They informed me yes but we used the extra one on Sat with the mistake dose. So tell me in the whole vet building there was not one extra syringe they could use??? Plus a wasted dose of insulin which is not cheap. I paid extra for medical care and feel I need refund. Plus I have 2 calls in this morning to check what time he last had insulin and if he had morning eye drops and no call back. That was over 2 hours ago and still no return call.

Experiencia fantástica: We knew our dog Chino was in pain. I called multiple veterinary offices and everyone had a long wait list. West Toledo Animal Hospital, got us in the day both my husband and I were off work. And we're wonderful, getting Chino ready to be put down. They were caring, and very sympathetic. We had to take my 15year old son to the visit because my husband and I couldn't carry Chino to the car by ourselves. The vet staff was wonderful getting all of us through the emotional time. He was my son's best friend, they grew up together. I will definitely bring our next dog to this veterinary office. They were great helping us get through losing our family member. Thank u
Experiencia fantástica: I love the staff here! We went in last night with our dog, Mason. He was almost 14 years old. After hearing the results of the exam, we made the difficult decision to send hom over the rainbow Bridge. The doctor and assistant were very kind and compassionate. They gave us all the time we needed to make the decision then say goodbye. They allowed my mom to hold him as he went and even took his favorite blanket to be cremated with. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a place to take their pets. Thank you for everything. You guys are amazing.
Experiencia negativa: Wish I could give them a zero rating. Horrible experience and still waiting on a return phone call about my complaint after several attempts to get in touch with owner. All they seemed to care about was pushing their special food not the well-being of our cat. Who after leaving their office got sicker due to the neglect of the woman who "treated him".

Experiencia fantástica: Have been using this as our vet for a couple of years now. Our cat got very sick last summer and they were kind enough to get us in for a same day appointment and quick treatment plan and quite literally saved our cat's life. I LOVE that they offer appointments later in the evenings. Busy clinic so not always able to get in as quickly as I'd like for nail trims, but never longer than a couple of days.
Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately our cat Johan had something happening to him ( we are thinking it was a seizure ) and after going to 4 other places trying to get Johan in for an emergency checkup, we were recommended to go here. When my wife walked in, the employee at the desk immediately mentioned how they do not have anything open, and went on to explain how much it costs to get on a list of emergency visits, and made sure to say how we can put our names on a list for emergencies, but it wouldn't mean Johan would be seen. This felt like a slap in the face since we had tried desperately to find somewhere open that could help us. I don’t blame the entire animal hospital, but I am frustrated with the employee who made us feel very unwelcome.
Experiencia positiva: My cat had dental surgery and everything went well.I myself coming in with a cat glad I put a cover over my trap the less the cat sees the less stress as people walk in with dogs with no control if your cat not used to dogs definitely cover that trap with a blanket.I don't know about pricing much as it was his first cleaning and he had 3 teeth pulled under anesthesia I got quoted on the lower end since everything went well thankfully. I see people complain about pricing a lot but I think it was fair when you look at the breakdown of what your cat is receiving I was able to choose from three different blood panels at different costs and chose the middle option.we go back in month since we been a slightly elevated bun level I will be back with my trap cover

Experiencia negativa: I was charged 200$ for boosters… they charged me 60$ (wellness exam) for listening to my dogs heart, not even holding her…. She didn’t leave my lap… waste of money..
Experiencia positiva: My dog has been going to physical therapy for a torn ACL...Dr. Sam has done a wonderful job; she is very personable with the humans and conscientious with the animals. She pushes my dog but never too far; he's improved immensely under her guidance and he loves her. I also saw Dr. West a couple of times and really liked her. The facility is clean and well organized and reception is very friendly and helpful. Update: My dog had to have a cancerous tumor removed. The surgery went well, but it bothered me that none of the vets seemed concerned about checking the surgical site once it was healed. He started to develop another lump above the removed tumor and they were offhand about it and said we’d leave it alone unless it physically bothered him. Apparently, when they did the surgery, they didn’t remove all of the cancerous tissue. That was understandable because of the site (leg), but wasn’t made clear after the surgery. By the time I got him in to a new vet for a second opinion, the new tumor had gotten too large for all of the cancerous tissue to be surgically removed (the tumor had grown at an alarming rate). So my feelings on West Toledo Animal Hospital are mixed; they were great with my dog’s torn ACL, but not so great with his cancer. I liked the vets fine (especially Dr. West), but didn’t find them to be especially proactive—at least not with a senior dog. However, I do have to say that they were very sensitive and kind with putting both of my senior cats down.
Experiencia negativa: Just lost my dog in doggie haven I have nothing good to say about this vet was there many years they made a wrong diagnosis on him said it was a hot spot then years later said it wasn't pd1.165.72 for surgery then another 230 to put him down. And they wanted all money up front I was heart broken greed all about money.

The person I spoke to was thorough nice and polite she was very knowledgeable about the questions that I asked. And the prices seem fair and comparable for the vaccination for our family pet. I will be going to check them out just because she di'd an wesome job over the phone. Her customer service was absolutely excellent!
Experiencia negativa: My experience only improved when I checked out with the lobby ladies. They were sweet. Dr. Kendra Pratt was not pleasant to me in any way, truthfully and I will not let her see my dogs again. I have been bringing my pups here for 7 years. When someone questions the care you give your dogs, or their environment, when they are clearly in a stressful state, that’s like questioning my sanity. I care for my dogs like no other along with horses and other animals during the week. Sadly, some people will always think they are better than others. Also, I find it absurd the pet “examination” part only consists of checking / stretching their back legs. ?
Experiencia positiva: i would take my dog and cat here. i had my dog cody put down and cremated here. They waved the appointment/examination fee because he was dying. The box and everything that came with my dogs ashes were beautiful. the workers there signed a card and im thankful for all their help. I cried posting this picture. i hope this helps someone.
Experiencia fantástica: Customer over 5 years. It is very easy to schedule appointments. Didn't see regular veterinarian. Thought the attending veterinarian was professional and very pleasant. I questioned the diagnosis and felt that it should've been the veterinarian responsibility to inform us of the test results and review x-rays and plan not the assistant. And to think they never called to check on the pet after a 2 day stay. Currently, I am getting 2nd opinion. It costs a lot of money to protect your loved one. Only to feel like you have been taken advantage of.
Experiencia positiva: I've received good care for my dog, and he absolutely loves daycare. Those are the most important things. That said, I don't like that I can't just order a prescription through Chewy and I need to place the order, go get a paper prescription and mail it (they "don't work with Chewy anymore") and wait for the medication then. All because I didn't go through their preferred website that they email me about multiple times a week.

Experiencia negativa: IMPORTANT: Please, do not be fooled. This establishment does not care about your pet. My dog had to have emergency services that I was in no way prepared for. My dog had gone to this place before for an injury and so it made sense to come back so I didn’t have to pay a new patient fee somewhere else. I was told that my dog either received emergency services that day or she would die. Plain and simple. Of course, I was going to get her those services. I was given a “quote” that consisted of a huge range. There was an $800 difference between estimates. The tech who explained the prices to me also mentioned how several (if not, half) of the items on the list were “maybes.” This gave me no faith in the actual quote, but I had a plan for how I was going to fund it so I signed. Mind you, this place has on their website that they have “payment options.” That doesn’t mean what you think it means. They don’t entertain payments AT ALL. What they actually mean is that you have several different tools to choose from when cutting off your arm to pay them. Anyways, so I reached out with my concerns when my plan for funding fell through only to be told that if I did not pay the whole amount immediately (which was in the thousands), I would be expected to surrender my dog. That’s right. Don’t go here for ANYTHING serious if you don’t have wads of extra cash at your disposal. I was legitimately encouraged to go to loan sharks in order to pay my bill or else they would give my dog to a rescue. I told them I had every intention of paying them in full but that I would need just a bit of time (6 weeks maximum). I was told no, flat out. I was told that they had been promised that too many times to believe anyone anymore. So even if you are truly good for the money and true to your word, that means nothing to them. This was just what happened to me. Remember when I said I had gone in before for my dog’s injury? That day, a man came in absolutely panicked carrying a small dog who looked to be slightly disfigured. Lo and behold, the poor pup fell out of a second story window. The man didn’t have the money to pay for just a preliminary exam. The representatives of this place looked him in the eyes and said they would not help him if he didn’t pay. So what did I do? I paid for that man’s dog’s exam and I didn’t expect a cent in return. Meanwhile, I’ve had to ask every human I know that may have a couple extra thousand to spare in these hard times just so that I can bring my dog back home. Save yourself the heartache and grief. DO NOT give this place your money. There are plenty more reasonable, compassionate places nearby. I will NEVER make this mistake again. The administrative manager here is heartless. I hope the vets who work here with a genuine passion for helping animals find a better place to work. As with any place, there are good eggs. And yes, you will get good services if you have the money to pay them. Otherwise, you will never see your pet again. I think most would agree that good service means nothing if you can’t take your pet home afterwards. There’s really no better example of a place perpetuating economic inequity. This place will separate families and tell you it’s your fault. Let that sink in. One star, because I couldn’t give zero. Also, I have heard that this establishment has created fake 5 star reviews to combat all of the negative ones. Take that for what you will.

Wait times are incredibly long with multiple staff members hanging in lobby. Staff is not always professional. Inconsistent pricing with litter visits. Would not recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I was nervous based on some of the reviews for this place, but the employees and vet was really good with my anxious black lab and me. They were understanding when I called in to let them know I was going to be late due to an uncontrollable event, they were understanding with my dog being really nervous and scared around other dogs, and they were understanding with my wanting to hold off on doing blood work and such for the time being due to a separate condition. In summary, really great place, great vet, great vet assistant, and great receptionists!!! Kind, professional, knowledgeable, and caring.

Experiencia fantástica: They are amazing here. Very satisfied. They take such amazing care of our little man Sidney and cannot thank the staff enough. The techs and doctors are all amazing here. He is a regular customer being seen once or more a month. Dr. WEST,Dr. BERGSTROM, Dr. ROE we have all seen and they are all very attentive and caring individuals. They from the first visit treated Sidney and us like family. Listened to all of our concerns and gave him the best care possible. They saved him more then once with his ongoing issues neurological wise. Got us in same day when he was sick running a fever and got him all better and cared for him daily outpatient and accommodations to do his care on outpatient basis were made cause I wanted to care for him at home not being apart from him scared I would lose him. Staff updated us constantly about his condition when he was there during the day. Gave very detailed instructions for home care. Helped us to get him on meds they significantly improved his condition. When his former vet was unable to care for him after he was attacked by a neighbors dog and developed severe ptsd and fear aggression the staff here did not turn us away and helped us to figure a way to still get him seen and the staff doesn't shy away at difficult situations. They are amazing. The techs come out and get him and carry him treating him like he is their friend and their own. We can't say enough about how amazing they truly are here.
Experiencia negativa: I loved this vet office until they decided that they can't trust their own records from less than 4 months ago and needed to see my pets again to issue any medication. Now one pet is dead and died in horrific pain and another is without flea/ tick & heartworm medicine rising her life too. Just so they can make more money.
Experiencia fantástica: A bit pricey for regular services, but the staff is wonderful, and they've been coming out to give our stubborn pup eye drops every day for the last week, free of charge! They definitely go out of their way to give your pet the best care possible!
Experiencia negativa: We took my family dog to this vet for years. Unfortunately, in 2020 the experience at this vet office declined significantly. Our family dog was sick but nothing serious. He was just having some bladder issues. We took him in and within the hour they told us he needed to be put down. Before I knew it, he was put down and I left to return home without my dog which was completely unexpected and didn’t feel right. I got a puppy in 2021. Our puppy was already vaccinated after we picked him up from the breeder and they charged us a ton of money to have him “re-vaccinated”. When I asked why they couldn’t give a reason and proceeded to administer the vaccine before I could think. When I returned to have his second set of vaccines done they did it in the middle of the lobby without telling me what vaccinations he was being given. Not to mention the staff who works in this building are some of the most rude people I’ve ever met. They are all unpleasant, not willing to help, have no empathy, and all have a severe attitude. Not to mention they NEVER answer their phones or return calls. I have since left and have found a much better vet office that I can trust.
Experiencia negativa: ***PSA*** do not bring your animal to the place unless you have at least 2000 dollars in your pocket to pay them immediately otherwise they will give your pet to the rescue. They do not accept any type of payment arrangement whatsoever and if you do not pay they condsider that a surrender of your pet. So if you care anything about your family member please please go somewhere else.
Experiencia fantástica: Have used their acupuncture to help my dog in the past. I had a dog that was paralyzed and 5 weeks later she was walking! This time I have a dog with IBS and using their services again. They are so caring and I have a lot of belief in their rehab services.
Experiencia negativa: This place only cares about taking your money. My pug had Pancreatitis a couple years ago and started showing symptoms again. My regular vet (Lewis Animal Hospital, which is amazing by the way) was closed, so I took him here. They said they needed to keep him over night for "fluids" and observation. When I came to pick him up the next day, they had no information to give me, and wouldn't even bring him out until I paid over $600. He peed on the sidewalk the moment he stepped outside the door, so apparently they just kept him in a cage overnight without letting him out to go pee. He was worse when I picked him up, which leads me to think they literally just locked him in a cage overnight. The kicker is, the vet wasn't even there the whole time he was there, so I'm not sure what I was charged for. She walked out to her car 2 min after they took him back. I took him to medvet that evening and he passed away. If he was that close to death, why would they release him? They have no idea what they are doing, this place is literally just a money grab. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going to this animal hospital since 2019, utilizing the boarding and vet care. Back in 2020 my German Shepard rescue was being treated for heart worm they treated him halfway through and I was under the assumption that there were no more treatments only to be informed in early 2021 he still had half of his treatments to go through. I had been over charged on 2 occasions for boarding which I was was refunded for that, but an overall inconvenience. And what set me to go find another animal hospital was most recently I asked 3 separate times for a quote on my pit bulls tooth extraction simply because I’m a 23 year old college student and I just wanted a financial heads up about cost. I was ignored the first and third time while the second time I received an expired quote for a different customers dog With the customers name, address, and dog breed/name attached to the paperwork that was sent to my email, which I found extremely unprofessional as I would not want my address and dog names sent out to a stranger. Overall my experience over the years has been below average after multiple chances and it just isn’t worth putting my time and money towards any more as well as choosing to prevent any further misunderstandings with my pets.

Experiencia negativa: I loved this vet at first but the more I took my dogs in, the worse it got. I took both my dogs in yesterday for vaccines & asked the vets to clip their nails, which they did not do. They said they were going to put a powder on a cut that was on my puppies paw, they did not do that. They didn’t even refill my others dog prescription. It’s always super busy & they never answer their phones. The front desk workers always seem to have an attitude and are not overly friendly to their clients.
Experiencia fantástica: I first off want to thank the doctor and the vet technicians at West Toledo Animal Hospital. For being so kind and patient with all of the questions and concerns I had at the apppintment. 10/10 would recommend their establishment. They walked me through the process step by step., explaining every detail in depth to relieve my anxiety, And ensuring that they would give the best quality of care to my baby, which they above exceeded that promise. She does not do well at the vet and turns into a monster lol. I consented to general anesthesia in the case she became uncontrollable for the safety of staff and to not stress her out more than she was already. The doctor comes back and says that they didn’t need to do the anesthesia because she literally just laid there and didn’t move at all. I was in literal shock. She even got patient of the day. You can genuinely tell the passion everyone has to ensure the best possible care for your pet, and make it a priority to make sure you’re comfortable with compassion in regards to how much our pets mean to us. I could go on and on about how amazing the staff is, thank you for alleviating all of my concerns and anxiety, and making sure Sandra was taken care of with the highest professionalism and care. Thank you so again so much!
Experiencia negativa: My husband took our dog in because she had an injury to her dew claw and it needed to be treated before an infection started. The receptionist at the desk was rude to my husband and asked if he had an appointment. For real?. This is a hospital not a regular vet, otherwise change the name of your place. She stated that it's 150.00 just to walk in the door. Greedy much? She did not show any empathy at all and this is unacceptable. She recommended Med Vet and my husband was treated with respect and cared for my dogs injury. The amount was so minimal. I am glad that now we know where to take our dog from now on.

Giving me advice and helping me with anything I needed. As today he did lose him.which was a possibility of happening I appreciate you guys very much and your support. Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my cats to this vet for several years now and they have always gave good care that didn't break the bank. I also get my cats groomed here a couple times a year. The only thing I wish they would consider is taking a hour or so either at the start of the day or end of the day for cat grooming. Another facility I use to go to would set aside cat grooming appointments for the first hour of the morning to prevent so much stress for the cats. They do use calming spray so that is a plus. The aftermath of vet visits are just always hectic because it's mostly nothing but dogs there when I go so it's about a week before my cats calm back down lol to be expected though since it is a vet after all!
Experiencia fantástica: This is the best and only place I trust with my furbabies. They are full service from check ups to grooming and daycare. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The Drs are the best. We've had to help 3 of our babies cross the bridge and they go above and beyond. I highly recommended this place to all my friends and family.
Experiencia negativa: 1. They performed a surgery on my 5 month old puppy thats recommended to be done after maturity, at about 8 months old. 2. After further research, the surgery should’ve been inpatient and the puppy should’ve been monitored in ICU for 24-48 hours. He was home by 3pm the same day! 3. We took him back the day after surgery because he was coughing, breathing funny and wouldn’t eat. They said he was just swollen and steroids would help. They said his lungs and heart sounded good. The next day took him back again and was told the same thing except he coughed up a lot of phlegm and his gums turned purple but “he’s ok” and just monitor him. Finally, we took him for a second opinion. That doctor immediately ordered a STAT chest X-ray which showed severe pneumonia in his left lung, the beginnings of pneumonia in his right lung and bronchitis. He also lost 3lbs in 3 days and is now on a high calorie food along with 6 medications to hopefully help him recover from pneumonia. 4. My puppy is a pure bred, AKC English Bulldog that is 21 weeks old. When I picked up records from them to take to our second opinion appointment they have him as 13 weeks 5 days old and a “mixed breed small dog.” Ever since they moved from Sylvania Ave. and expanded their customer service had gone way down hill. Everything is just about the money and how many appointments they can do in a day instead of quality of care.

They also offer doggie daycare, I have not had the opportunity to use it yet but I know it is important for some people to be able to count on that service regularly!!!! Experiencia negativa: All they care about is taking your money. We took our dog for an issue with one of her glands . We knew we just needed antibiotics and for it to be expressed and cleaned out. Our actual vet was full for an immediate appointment. Went here based on 600 reviews. They charged us $250 for a procedure that they probably didn’t do(no proof because they took her in a back room without us and said it wasn’t ready to pop). The gland popped 1 hour later (BY ITSELF) and we were left cleaning and disinfecting ourselves. They also wanted us to come back 2 days later to determine if she needed surgery. Our vet said that is ridiculous to even suggest for her issue: They also said they would send over the records to our vet. They didn’t do that. Again they were great at taking our money, but that’s about it. Plenty of other reputable vets around town who don’t charge outrages prices and actual care for your pet. Our vet charged us $35 and actually cleaned and disinfected what we missed ourselves.
Experiencia fantástica: They made time to see my dog (a closer vet said they were too busy) and do emergency surgery so that she did not die! My girl is alive and well so I am happy. The staff is always amazing and know what they are doing. Prices are fair and reasonable and they are always good to my dogs.

Experiencia negativa: I’m not sure what happened to this vet but the customer service has seriously gone down hill. I understand times are tough but I shouldn’t have to wait on the phone 45+ min just to talk to someone about getting a refill for my pet’s medication. It’s so bad, it’s faster for me to drive across town to talk to them in person. This has even happened when I had an emergency. However, the final straw for me is when I was charged $75 for a recheck office visit and no medical procedure was done. Outrageous! I used this vet for almost a decade with several of my animals but they really have gone down hill in the past couple years to the point I’m switching vets.
Experiencia negativa: If your pet is healthy, this place is ok. The staff is friendly and helpful. They need more people to answer the phone and the parking lot is inadequate. If your pet develops Diabetes, RUN, don’t walk away from this practice! They don’t believe in letting you test your pet’s Glucose at home. They jacked me and my sweet dog around for 16 months trying to get his Diabetes under control. I spent a ton of money and he developed cataracts from his Glucose being so high and lost his eyesight. (They we’re totally indifferent to him losing his eyesight! Are you kidding me) Think about it, people with Diabetes check their Glucose multiple times per day. Why wouldn’t you check your Diabetic pet’s Glucose too? I’m now going to the BEST Vet in town, got my sweet pupper’s Diabetes under control and took him to OSU’s Vet Hospital for Cataract Surgery to restore his eyesight!

Experiencia positiva: They're always short-staffed. Given the prices they charge, I'd think they could afford to hire a few more people. Otherwise, I love the care they provide my pup. That's why it's taken me so long to consider other vets who are far more available. Unfortunately, if I can't ever get in with them, their excellent service doesn't mean much.
Experiencia negativa: I have a hedgehog and took him in for a checkup, they were completely unprofessional and aggressive with him and when he balled up they blamed it on him being an aggressive hedgehog and immediately went into sedating him without asking me. They took him in a back room and came back and said “we don’t know how to handle a hedgehog can u weigh him for us” so basically did their job, when the girl took him from my hand she snatched him and put the stethoscope on his stomach aggressively and when he balled up she dropped him on the metal counter and had to pry the stethoscope off of him. when she came back with him after sedation she tossed him into his carrier and told me he’s aggressive. the first vet i’ve ever took him too they were calm and patient with him and gave him snacks to distract him when they worked on him. i only took him here because they got me in sooner and i will never be going back
Experiencia negativa: Felt they cared more about getting our money than caring for our pet. We were asked to pay for expensive treatments by someone with no knowledge of our pet’s condition. When they brought out our dog, he was still obviously struggling even though the vet had told us his condition had improved. He suffered needlessly for additional days because the vet wasn’t honest with us about his health.

Just left an hour ago, incredibly friendly staff from the front desk to the doctors, very good level of care and compassion, price was ok, maybe a little high but nothing you wouldn't find at another clinic, possibly even a little cheaper. Would definitely bring my pets to them again.
Experiencia negativa: Took 6 wk stray to this vet today. Requested fiv test and fecal matter testing for parasites. Also, requested first vaccines. They would not do any of the above stating the cat was too young. He was perfectly healthy. But did charge $250 for a visit, flea medication, eye drops and antibiotics. Took the kitten to a new vet same day that tested for fiv, tested fecal sample, treated for worms, and vaccinated the kitten. Also, they didn't even charge for flea medicine. So, I wouldn't trust this place to be honest.
Experiencia negativa: When I first started going to West Toledo, the drs and grooming staff were excellent. However, sadly that is no longer the case. Due to difficulty getting vet appointments, long wait times, way too costly visits, and nobody wanting to answer the phone, I switched vets a few months ago, but returned for grooming service. Never again. This last grooming appointment two days ago, I notified the grooming tech to watch out for a little cyst my dog had on his ear. When I picked my dog up, he seemed “upset,” but didn’t think too much of it since he doesn’t like to be groomed anyway. When we got to the car, I looked at the inside of his ear, and it was stained with some yellowish-orange solution, and you could tell he had bled around his cyst, that I warned them about. Due to the waiting room being completely full when I left, including having a sick dog in there, I chose not to go back in but called from my phone. After being on hold for 20 mins, my call was finally answered and was able to speak to the groomer. She apologized that I was never told about his ear when I picked him up stating “they should have told you” and insisted he was fine, but his cyst did start to bleed, denied cutting him, stating he must’ve bumped his ear during his bath or he scratched it. She did state they cleaned his ear and put antibiotic cream in it. I get mistakes happen, but this was never told to me when I picked him up!!! Then to have to wait 20 minutes on the phone to talk to someone because the waiting area was way too full to return. As others have said on these reviews, this business has become way too big and your pets care is not their priority anymore, just your money.
Experiencia negativa: They insisted I never showed up for my last appt when I certainly did. So they tried to tell me I need to pay for all vaccinations again and start over. I also insisted I DID show up, when she found out I did, she then accused me of being late (when I was not). It doesn't matter when I call the clinic, im on hold for at least 30 mins each time. Whenever I am there I feel like they don't want to spend the time with me and my pet to answer my questions and concerns. They pride themselves as being so passionate about caring for your animals but that is NOT the impression I get at all. I keep being given reasons to ditch this place. You're nothing but another paycheck to this place.
Experiencia fantástica: I reached out to 10 other emergency vet clinics and none of them had same day appointments. Not only were they able to get my cat in right away but they treated and ran test right away. We had to have an overnight stay. So lucky I was able to get him in somewhere . He’s back home and feeling much better thanks to this place!
Experiencia positiva: We went here because my pet needed to be seen on an emergency basis and years ago, West Toledo was very good. They did get my pet in, and did find the problem. However, we needed to come back for more tests, and then again for even more tests. So we know our pet has a liver issue, but actually need to take him to an oncologist for surgery to determine details. I'm not certain how helpful the second set of tests were, and feel maybe we should have been referred to surgeon sooner. There was also an issue that they claim to have called us and left a detailed message, but did not. Perhaps they called a wrong number, I don't know. Anyhow, they did okay, but I see room for improvement.
Experiencia positiva: I want to give them more stats as their surgery department is awesome. But some how they keep getting my dogs weight incorrect and giving me meds which are prescribed based on his weight resulting in him having a seizure 1 night due to an over dose. And the bandaid they put on his paw may or may not slip off almost immediately. He use to go to med vet and the only way that bandaid came off was if he chewed it off. So like I said...surgery was great but always know your pets weight, check the weight they think he is, and Google the meds MG per lb of body weight for your dog. Again my # 1 issue was them incorrectly labeling his weight and prescribing meds off that incorrect weight
Experiencia negativa: Brought our new kitten in for his rabies and booster shot. Had an 9:00 appointment 8/27/21, someone called and said a that a tech couldn't. Had to reschedule to 8/31/21 10:00 to see a vet. Went 8/31/21 9:45 arrived at the production line, waited till 10:25, asked when we would get our 10:00 appointment? The one of three receptionist said she would check. She came back and told us we didn't have an appointment that they were just working us in as a favor to us! They made a mistake, told us they were doing us a great favor by seeing Louie! At 11:10 we told them to cancel our appointment, then they said they would see what they could do. I told them not to bother, what happen was not our fault, what happened was total B,S.

Experiencia fantástica: Pleasant, caring, knowledgeable, & patient staff. Always had to carry our dog into vets. Not anymore, he walks right on in. It's amazing all the holistic treatments they offer. Laser therapy has been a miracle
