She received excellent care, her dental health is now in a really good place, and they even called the following day to check on her recovery. I truly felt cared for every step of the way. Also cared more about getting a high bill instead of focusing on the issue that the appointment was made for. Charged for a “Wellness Exam” when all they did was feel his fur and look at his front paws. Very disappointed.

The staff at Lakeview Veterinary Clinic did an amazing job of treating him, laying out our options with clear pros and cons, and continuing to check in on how he was doing until he started to get better. Experiencia negativa: After getting her annual checkup with a new vet on Monday (we had been seeing another vet for five years, but she left), I had to take my oldest cat to the emergency vet on Tuesday because she experienced sudden disorientation and blindness. No one from Lakeview called us to check up on her, which previously had been the standard, and when I asked to speak directly to the vet we saw I was told she wasn’t in until Friday. I had questions about the arthritis injection our cat received, Solensia. I’m furious that I can’t speak to the vet and am going somewhere else in the future.

They work with both dogs (especially the problematic one) to make them as comfortable as possible. With their help we have 2 healthy and happy pups! We also love that the cat side of the business is completely separate (helpful for both human allergies and dogs’ chasing instincts).

I brought in my 5-month-old rescue pup for her first visit today, and they made the experience feel safe, welcoming, and truly compassionate. My puppy had just arrived in Madison last week with an unclear history and she tends to be very timid and anxious around new people. Dr. Sarah and Savannah approached her with such patience and kindness, transforming what I expected to be a stressful visit into a calm and genuinely positive one. My puppy came out of there in a great mood, and did not even realize she received a vaccine! :) As a first-time puppy owner, I felt especially grateful for Dr. Sarah's thoroughness and care - she took the time to answer my many questions, offered thoughtful guidance, and authentically considered my input on the vaccination and wellness plan. I highly recommend establishing care here - this is a fantastic clinic for your furry family members!

Experiencia fantástica: Tui was suffering from a number of sad consequences from running off into the woods outside Viroqua for close to six hours. The staff at Lakeview soothed her, ran scans, treated the gashes on her head and the torn pads on each of her feet. Everyone was kind and gentle and took plenty of time with her. We have never had a bad moment with anyone at Lakeview. The receptionists and phone staff are also wonderful!

Matt suggested several ideas that might Elliot to gain wt. he also had a great idea to decrease his constipation with a very small dose of Miralax. The plan of doing a blood draw was firmly opposed by Elliot. He’s a pretty smart cat!

He guided us through a severe life-ending illness in our last dog and was so thoughtful and supportive when she passed. One of our current dogs is highly anxious and he works with us closely to make her visits as easy as possible. When we’ve had to use a vet ER Dr Matt and his staff are calling the next day to check on us. Lakeview goes above and beyond. All of the staff and other vets we have met are just as caring and skilled. We love Lakeview and are so appreciative of how well they care for our babies!

Experiencia fantástica: My furry companion Koda was seen by Dr Oakes at Lakeview. It was our first vet experience together and my first time seeing a vet in a preventative context. The visit could not have gone more smoothly. AND Koda got Churu as a treat while getting vaccinated. When we got back home, I was filled with gratitude for such a worry-free visit. 5+ stars!

Experiencia fantástica: We had been looking around for a clinic to take our two boys to for quite some time and decided to bring them here. As new clients we were swiftly scheduled for an appointment via email. The response time to our inquiries were exceptionally fast. They have an entrance specifically for cats called the Cat Annex and it was very accommodating to keep our cats anxiety down. When we got in the receptionist immediately asked for the names of our cats and got us a room all while she was helping another client. The facility and rooms themselves were impeccable and organized. We also took note of the Feliway diffuser in the room which we could tell alleviated our cats anxiety. When the vet assistant came in she took note that we were wearing masks and asked us if we would feel more comfortable if she and the doctor did the same. This offer in itself was so touching. She then gave us a list of what to expect with a kind and cheerful demeanor. She took her time getting their weights and even reweighed one of our cats because he was moving during his initial weight check, which actually added another 4 lbs. We were appreciative of this care to accuracy. Nothing felt rushed and we didn't feel pressured at any point. When Dr Matt came in he already had all the vaccinations we discussed with the vet assistant along with a Churu treat for each of our boys! He was so gentle with them and communicative with us during their workup. He understood the anxiety our boys were feeling and gave them space to feel comfortable with him in there. During the vaccinations he talked to them calmly while we fed them their treats. Not a single hiss or yowl from either of our cats. Dr Matt also discussed our concerns in a friendly manner while telling us the next steps to take if need be. Very thorough. As a side note: one of my little guys had an accident on the car ride over and they provided us pads for our ride home without us even asking. The service had us floored and we were so appreciative of their efforts. The aftercare visit summary included everything discussed at the appointment. Nothing was missed. We discussed food options during the appointment to which Dr Matt included a list of 4 different brands in their summary. He even noted the kcalories per cup. Overall we are grateful and beyond impressed with the service provided. The costs were affordable and much lower than what I expected. They staff handle their patients with the utmost care and understanding, and give the best experience imaginable.

This was a wonderful experience even though we were away from our home vet office. We got in right away, They did all her tests there and got answers right away. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Angela kvasnica, she sat and talked with us for almost an hour. She went over all the options for us and sent us home with a prescription. She made my dog harlee and I feel very comfortable. I almost never make reviews on places but I would definitely recommend this office!

This week, I finally switched my cat over to Lakeview. My cat has been dealing with longterm bladder issues and I was never able to get the answers I needed. One trip to Lakeview, and I felt all of the stress lift off my shoulders. The technician was incredibly understanding and candid, which immediately made me feel relaxed and that my cat was in good hands. The Doctor spent time with me breaking everything down and we went over all potential treatment options. Not once did I feel like she was trying to rush out or sell me on something that wasn’t necessary. Everyone was so compassionate as well. Kudos to the entire Cat Annex team for making it such a great experience, even with a stressful situation. I will definitely be continuing to recommend Lakeview to anyone and everyone with a furry friend!

Experiencia fantástica: I started using Lakeview just a few months ago for one of our cats. She is having skin issues. To start a new vet during COVID seemed challenging, but the staffer, over the phone, was terrific. She explained the “no contact” policy, and quickly sent me a form to fill out so they could get to know my cat and her issues before I brought her in. When I arrived for the appt., I called from the parking lot, and a delightful, masked staffer quickly showed up, and carefully carried my kitty, in her carrier, into the office. Her doctor was Dr. Megan. I waited in my car during the visit (they ask you to do this). After a very reasonable amount of time, they called me to say that Zoey’s exam was finished. They brought her out to me, and Dr. Megan came out as well. It was so nice to meet her. Even with a mask , I could see her caring nature in her eyes. She explained everything thoroughly, recommended next steps, and said she would email me a written summary of the visit. I either received the summary that very day, or early the next. Very wonderful service. When my other kitty needs to go to the vet, I will be bringing her to Dr. Megan. Very caring.

There were no post-operative complications. I have brought other dogs to Lakeview and Dr. Arce for care, and they have always provided competent, compassionate, and science-based care. Overall, I highly recommend Lakeview Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Arce.

We were scheduled for a last-minute drop-off appointment but we were lucky and happened to arrive when the doctor had a moment so we were fortunate enough to meet with her and address all of our dog's needs. Dr. K and Savannah took more time to patiently get to know her than any vet we have ever seen before. They asked detailed questions about her health and behavior issues, mapped out a full plan, made sure our dog had a chance to get comfortable with their presence, and then they gently approached her and did her exam and vaccinations. It went really well, so much better than my prior experiences with other practices. I am so appreciative of their genuine caring and patience and expertise!

I got a new adopted kitty after the deaths of my 2 15 year old baby’s. The vet I saw was wonderful. Fit us in immediately after my endlessly playful and submissive puppy was attacked by another dog at Quann Dog Park. Ghillie was, as always, extremely excited to be at the vet clinic. Dr. Desiree triaged him and told us he was “very lucky”— his eyeball was not injured, and she sent us home with antibiotics and pain meds after taking him back to inspect and clean his puncture and scratch wounds.” Just took Ghillie in for his annual exam and vaccinations. He was excited as ever to go back inside. We couldn’t be happier with Dr Oakes and the team. They were very knowledgable and thorough, and took all the time needed to answer our concerns and questions.

During a move with my two cats, with a 3 week overlay in Madison, I was told my cat needed dental surgery ASAP. I was incredibly stressed and called lakeview even though my own pets were not established patients there. They were able to get me in with no problems, and took amazing care of my cat. The vet was great with me and my cat and I’m very appreciative. A year later now, my new vet in my new home state was impressed by how well the dental surgery was. Huge thank you to Lakeview!

And it warms my heart when she expresses how much she loves seeing my kitty, even when Izzy hisses at her. I also appreciate that the staff at Lakeview is masked.

The doctors and the staff at Lakeview deliver top-quality veterinary care at reasonable rates. Experiencia fantástica: I LOVE LAKEVIEW! Dr. Megan patiently explored weird symptoms with one of my dogs for months and months until she diagnosed him with a rare autoimmune disease, and with treatment, he's finally himself again! All the vets and techs are so loving with my dudes, especially one who has anxiety. They were able to get him comfortable enough for some care that he hadn't been able to get for years with other vets. They're so wonderful, recommend without hesitation. Experiencia fantástica: I have been with Lakeview since moving to Madison in 2016. They have always been very kind and caring, going above and beyond to help when I have issues with my cats. Most recently I brought in my kitten who wasn't feeling well. I texted them at 1:30 in the morning, and when they opened they texted me right back. I was grateful to get an appointment, and they followed up the next day. Kitty needed to go back in, but money is tight. They worked with me to make sure my baby would still get the best care. I would highly recommend them!
