Experiencia fantástica: Klaich Animal Hospital is amazing! We had Dr. Tara Whalen and she was so patient, kind and helpful. Our dog had to have dental surgery which can be very stressful but Dr.Whalen and her team made us feel more at ease about the situation. They called us with updates throughout the procedure, gave us a cost estimate before deciding if we wanted to go through with the procedure, kept our dog for the day to monitor her coming off anesthesia, and they even said if we need a follow up visit, if we feel like anything might be wrong, it’s free of charge. Additionally the front desk service was excellent, they were very nice and all had a gentle demeanor, and the wait times were not too long. Overall an excellent experience and we will be returning for any future needs.

Experiencia fantástica: Ive been coming to Klaich for over a year and I bring my babies to see Dr. Ryan Bertucci. He is amazing and so compassionate. He never tries to make my visits costly, and in fact tries to save me money, which shows he truly cares about animals. He is patient and kind and my babies love him. I will definitely keep coming to him for the future. Thank you, Dr. Bertucci, for always treating my babies so well!

Experiencia negativa: I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at this animal hospital. As a brown woman, I have never felt so pushed aside or dismissed in a professional setting. The front desk employee named Alexis (she wears large glasses) was rude, disengaged, and more focused on her phone than helping me. After hearing my accent, she immediately directed another employee the Spanish speaker to come and assist me, without asking if I needed that or giving me a chance to speak for myself. The craziest part of all of this is that I do not even speak Spanish. My accent is not Spanish it’s Portuguese. They made an assumption based solely on my skin color and how I sound. I do have an accent, but I speak clearly and fluently, and there was no reason to treat me this way. There was also another employee at the front desk who was not wearing scrubs and did not help me either. Instead of assisting me, she simply had someone else take over. Between that and Alexis’s behavior, I felt completely dismissed. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that Alexis was talking with another staff member. They both looked at me and then went right back to what they were doing, as if I wasn’t there. I did not catch the Spanish-speaking employee’s name, but the issue is the overall lack of professionalism, awareness, and respect. I honestly don’t know how to feel other than concerned not just for myself, but for other people who come here and may not be treated the same way. I’ve been to this hospital three times, and two out of the three visits have been horrible experiences. No one should feel stereotyped or pushed aside because of how they look or sound. If you are a person of color, I would strongly caution you before coming here.

Experiencia fantástica: Once again all the staff was great with me, a week ago my dog Lana began a very difficult treatment of an internal infection, Dr. Brian Painting was the one who attended us, from the first moment I explained to him that my dog was the most important thing in my life and I treated her as she deserved after a week my dog did not succeed, her immune system was completely damaged they treated me in the emergency room just by entering the staff of the girls in reception they are amazing, Throughout the process the doctor and nurses kept us informed of everything and were very understanding with us, I know that Lana was in the best hands and care after all a day in the emergency room Lana did not succeed, they were so respectful with us and her, they gave us time with her where we could say goodbye, without a doubt I have nothing bad to say about them Once again thank you to all the staff for doing that great work with love and passion I am really very grateful, Lana will always be in our hearts, you were the best

Experiencia negativa: Klaich has absolutely gone down hill sooooo much. They forgot to schedule a follow up for our pet who is going through serious health problems, and now they wont see us for 2+ weeks even though it was their mistake. The vets no longer talk to the clients half the time either. They tell you what they're going to do, and if you have any input, they ignore you. The last time we had to speak to the vet via two way radio because they couldn't be asked to come in the exam room. The prices have also gone through the roof, wait times are long, and they're not flexible at all for urgent care anymore. We have been going here for years for multiple pets, but that stops today. I genuinely hope they can improve their services, but they've lost us for good. The first time we took a pet there 6 years ago for a near death health problem, they were amazing and they saved a life for sure... This current episode has felt like a non-stop street brawl with the vet to get them to even look at our pet. We had to go to an emergency vet to get a blood test because they just would not talk to us. Apparently they did the test, but they wouldn't take the time to address the concerns we brought up or tell us they ran the test. The emergency vet saw our pet 2 hours after Klaich and they found severe dehydration. They also asked if we had specialty low fat food from the other vet, which we did not. The emergency vet said that was very important with this condition. I genuinely think our pet would have died if not for that emergency vet visit 2 HOURS after Klaich had examined our pet. DO NOT go here if you value the life of your pet. They just want to prescribe you overpriced meds to get your out the door while explaining as little as possible. I called a different vet that a friend recommended and they're getting us in within TWO DAYS, not TWO WEEKS! Call around, you can find a lot better.

Experiencia negativa: GO TO PEAK PET URGENT CARE! I called with an urgent matter and the staff on the phone didn’t seem to care about the urgency. My cat was needing to be put down as she was passing on her own from cancer. My cat was meowing loudly in the back and the staff on the phone went silent to listen and seemed more judgmental than caring about my cat making bloody murder meows. I scheduled an appointment with peak pet and was seen within 20min of making the appointment. They helped put my cat down and comforted me before this place even sent a text about my wait time. For an urgent care they are the absolute opposite of urgent and the staff needs better training to answer phone calls for urgent matters.

Experiencia negativa: We had a trip to Europe and ask these people to help us with the USDA certificate for our dog Within two months in advance, they made us an appointment and in the end We end up in losing the planes because the certificate didn’t arrive on time, they blame it on USDA but every time when we ask them about the certificate, they told that it’s gonna be there. Don’t worry about it! You’ll leave on time! Too much to list but I would not recommend these people. They don’t care about what they’re doing and they don’t know what they doing. If you care about your puppies and you care about yourself and for you not to be stressed, I would recommend you to find a different place. Juliette was the one in charge and I really liked her until I saw that we just got screwed and she didn’t care a dime to do anything about all this situation!

Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience. Because of them we couldn't get the Usda document for our dog to travel with us to Europe, which we paid for. They kept telling us that it will get to us until the last day of our flight, and it didn't. Very bad experience! The girl at the reception has no idea what she's doing!

Experiencia fantástica: ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Left old vet I had for over 20 yrs due to lack of care & concern for my fur baby's health issues. Old vet did blood work for dental, not so good results & tells me my dog needs to be seen. Ummm, seriously? SHES RIGHT HERE IN YOUR CAGE IN BACK, SO SEE HER!!!! Prescribed a medication & that was that!!! Called Klaich & explained issue with previous vet, the girls got my fur baby scheduled to be checked. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO PREVIOUS VET & I highly believe it's time for their business to retire!!! The wife vet is so incredibly RUDE & UNKIND!!! Not an ounce of friendliness, empathy or concern for the animal patients they see!!! When you're a doctor of veterinary medicine, empathy is a MUST!!! KLAICH has such AMAZING staff & Drs!!!! If one is having a hard day, you would never know because the SMILES, FRIENDLINESS, EMPATHY, COMPASSION etc. SHINES through first & foremost!!! THANK YOU KLAICH Drs. & staff for being such WONDERFUL, AMAZING human beings that TRULY show how much you care about your patients & their humans!!! ✝️

Experiencia fantástica: I have nothing but great things to say about Klaich and especially Dr. Nichols. Our dog Reggie had been lethargic for a few days earlier this year and collapsed on the floor suddenly one day. We called Klaich because our local vet didn’t take appointments on Fridays. With only a couple hours notice, they were able to get him in and Dr. Nichols ran his blood work and confirmed he had an autoimmune condition and put him on medication that got him back to his normal self. He is now doing great, months later. While he’s a handful and is not an easy dog to take to the vet, the staff at Klaich have done a great job working with him to make sure he gets the care he needs. Klaich is now our new vet. It’s an hour and half drive from where we live but it’s worth it for the expertise and great care that our dogs get.

Experiencia fantástica: Klaich animal hospital is single-handedly the best animal hospital in the city of Reno. Quite possibly the best animal hospital in the state of Nevada. They've provided so many services for my animals, and I'm so grateful for everything that they do. They take great care in their work, and they always keep me posted if there's anything that ever happens to go wrong.(knock on wood) I cannot recommend this place enough. Please please please please bring your pets here if there are unfortunate enough to be ill. These guys will take care of you hands down. Jenelle helped me on the phone tonight, and she gave me all the information needed and then some! Thank you Klaich and Janelle for being amazing

Experiencia fantástica: I’m an undergraduate at UNR and reached out to the hospital in hopes I’d be able to shadow. I reached out to Jenelle who helped me pick a day where I could shadow four hours and was incredibly helpful. Once I was there, Tonya got me set up to follow around some of their staff. I mostly followed around Joey who was fun and friendly as well as Cameron who was incredibly nice and helpful. As for the vets, I got to shadow Dr Haggblade when she was free and got to see a dentistry surgery that Dr Painting was performing. Everyone answered all my questions and were incredibly sweet with all the animals. Whether for learning purposes or for care of your animal, I’d highly recommend this clinic

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Bertucci is amazing! We have a small terrier mix that has had a lot of medical issues. We first brought Ezme to Klaich shortly after she had been diagnosed with Kushing's disease. Dr Bertucci has helped us get her condition under control. He has also performed surgery on Ezme- removing a digit that had a tumor. Always with great results. They will do everything in office.

So her I sit with my dog who basically has bloat, and 1500. Later same story... Oh I didn't charge u for this or that, go-to hell, my dog is uncomfortable, can't relieve herself and u won't do anything without MONEY! EVIL

Experiencia fantástica: After years of attempting to help our sweet boy Charlie, we had to unfortunately put him down. My wife called numerous different clinics - Klaich ended up being the kindest, most understanding and (awful to even have to say it) most affordable option in Reno. Based off of her interaction over the phone we chose to move forward with the process of euthanasia with them, and I'm very glad we did. They made the process as painless as possible, provided as much love and care as they could during it, and explained everything so that we could focus on loving Charlie in his last moments. I will always be so, so grateful to the individuals at Klaich, and I wish that I had managed to catch the names of the assistants and the doctor (I was too caught up in the process to remember) to thank them personally. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for kind, compassionate, knowledgeable vet care.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Furman is the type of vet that you hope to find to perform surgery on your pet. Highly skilled, a good listener, honest and able to effectively communicate the complications of a difficult surgery. He even called personally to follow up on the surgery. I’ve already referred to his services and should one of my pets need surgery, in the future, his office will be the first one I call.

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful vet. We've seen all but 2 of the vets on staff between regular checkups, their specialities, and urgent care visits. We trust them and highly recommend. You can wait in the car with your pet to reduce the stress they feel from being at the vet. Highly recommend.

Experiencia positiva: Klaich provides excellent animal care! But their clients are overpaying by too much. I was able to save ~$1300 by having my dogs’ spay and tack done at a similar ‘animal hospital’ 30 minutes down the highway.

Experiencia negativa: 0 stars if I could. Actually, I think I’d probably leave a negative 5 star review. Took my 9 year old husky to this vet because she was in severe pain with no immediate cause back in April. We requested an X-ray or an ultrasound or something to dig deeper into the issue because there was something going on. The vet refused any scans and insisted she had some sort of trauma which caused a sprained neck. I’m no vet, but I knew there was something more. It wasn’t just neck pain or pain that would be associated with a sprained neck. We insisted there was more going on, but the vet would not listen. They sent us home with pain medicine and scheduled a follow up for two weeks later. The medicine made her feel better, but she was still obviously in pain. When we returned for her follow up, we let them know she was still having issues. They sent us home with a quote for a $4,000 dollar surgery to remove her mamory gland tissue and to have her spayed. No further explanation as to what was wrong. We just had to wait for her sprained neck to heal. I’m not sure how the surgery had anything to do with her sprained neck. The surgery would have potentially prevented ovarian cancer, but the vet didn’t even think that was the concern. Fast forward to friday (7/4/25). The pain never went away, it just got worse. She was unable to breathe, but threw up, ate some food, and seemed to be breathing better. The next morning we woke up and she could not breathe and she had lost the color in her tongue. We immediately took her to blue pearl emergency vet. They were wonderful. It took them 2 minutes to do an ultrasound and find fluid built up around her heart and lungs. Something this office couldn’t do. She needed immediate oxygen and they let us know she was declining fast and didn’t have much time. We decided to let her go. Emergency services, a vet consult, euthanasia, and cremation costed $650 and I have never been around a more empathetic veterinary staff. Not to mention the emergency vet costed less than either of our first two visits at this veterinary office (I want to be clear this statement is about Blue Pearl and not this vet). My dog suffered for months because this vet did not listen to our requests or further investigate. We would not have put her through the suffering if we would have known. I feel very strongly that due to the “care” provided for my dog, led to her slow painful end. We go to the vet because we are not veterinarians. We are supposed to trust them. I do not trust that the specific vet we saw had my pets interest at heart. I wish I could say it was the one doctor; however, a family member had a very similar situation. I’ll be brief because this is not my story to tell. They offered a $1,500 CT scan and an improper diagnosis. Fortunately, the family trusted the vet less this time, and the kitty got better on her own with no vet intervention. Another story. We had a family dog go into this vet office for a torn toenail. They did scans and bloodwork and missed a 9 inch tumor in her stomach. She also suffered because of this incident and passed away shortly after. This veterinary office and the doctors need to reevaluate their morals and business model, because to me this looks like an outright money grab with unqualified staff. My family will never return to this vet. We will be shouting from the rooftops for anyone who cares for their pets to not visit this veterinary office. I am starting with a review to attempt to get our story out so others do not have the same experience, hopefully. I will be writing a letter to the administration. The other members of my family are discussing the same route. If I see an argumentative reply from the owner like I’ve seen on other bad reviews, I will raise my concern to the highest level possible. It’s best to take the severe criticism and not reply. The bad reviews did not experience the “compassionate” experience the owner is insistent they are committed to providing and that needs to be addressed if you’d like to continue to be a recommended veterinary office.

Experiencia fantástica: Klaich has the best Vets in the Reno area. We had been going to another office but continued to have "issues" with treatment of our Dogs and cats. Since switching to Klaich, we have been so impressed with Dr. Furman (what a great name for a Veterinarian!) and all his Staff. We can't say enough good things about Klaich in this small space. They're terrific and our pets are very well cared for now.

Our Bowser had to go in for emergency surgery from eating a toy, and they are so caring and informative. I’d especially like to recommend seeing Dr. Tara Whalen. She truly cares for both of my pets, knows them by name, and even came in on her day off to finish up Bowser’s care. It shows her dedication and love for what she does. The vet and assistant took us in right at the appointment time, asked thorough questions, and provided us with testing or testing options. It was affordable and they really cared. We just moved here from Ohio and can’t recommend this place enough to anyone looking to establish their dog at a trusted vet.

Experiencia fantástica: We have puppy 6wks now he was 4wks old when he developed a rectal prolapse he could be by life we took him vet on friday we were turned away we talking to another vet on Monday he was diagnosed with a rectal prolapse $1185- $1389 and they wanted paid in full before surgery I tried funding go fund me no help no where scared I was going to take me rent 13 days trying to get this baby help youi tired 60 yrd old on disability and this poor baby I felt helpless My husband took to Klaich And omg Angel's Stanley is helping Thank Staff Stanley and Parents are eternally

Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly staff, generally can get in quick for appointments. Or you have the option for urgent care. Always great with my dogs. Sometimes appointments feel rushed, but that's understandable. I switch here from my old vet because of the quicker scheduling times, and friendlier staff.

Experiencia fantástica: Thank God I found the best pet hospital, my dog started peeing with blood and I took him to a hospital in Gardnerville they told me that he had stones and that practically the best thing was to put him to sleep, I completely refused I visited many hospitals in Reno and Carson extremely expensive and they just care about the money, I arrived desperate for my dog's health to this hospital and the lady’s in the front desk were so kind and loving with me and my dog, since I arrived they attended me urgently and explained to me all the procedure that he needed, My dog went into surgery and his doctor called me every two hours to inform me how my dog was, thank God everything went well, they saved the life of my dog my friend, I definitely recommend this place all their staff, I feel so grateful to have met people who love their work Cooper and I are extremely grateful ❤️❤️

Experiencia negativa: Our 1-year-old Goldendoodle, Lainey, swallowed a sock that became lodged in her small intestine and required life-saving surgery. The hospital estimated the cost at over $7,000, on top of the $2,000 we had already paid at the emergency vet. When we explained that we couldn’t pay immediately, Dr. Nichols showed no compassion and told us our only option was to surrender Lainey to save her life. Desperate to ensure her survival, we made the agonizing decision to surrender her. Heartbreakingly, this meant our 4-year-old couldn’t even say goodbye to her dog. Shortly afterward, when we called back to pay for the surgery and bring her home, we were told Lainey had already been rehomed. They didn’t give us a chance to intervene—they simply sold, or gave her to someone else. In the week that followed, we made multiple attempts to contact Klaich Animal Hospital, leaving messages and asking for someone to return our calls. Nobody ever responded. To make matters worse, the hospital has since blocked our phone numbers and even blocked us on social media to avoid addressing their actions. After sharing our story online, we were shocked to hear from others in the community who said they experienced similar situations with Klaich Animal Hospital. It appears this may be a pattern, raising serious concerns about how surrendered pets are handled and whether families are given fair options in emotional, high-stakes situations.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Furman at this facility provided an absolutely disgusting experience. When my dog of 13 years started limping we immediately called for an apointment, having just moved states I found this vet through Google. Not being an existing patient we were told we would have to wait weeks to have him seen. We asked for them to call if anything sooner opened up, and made the apointment. My dog began to rapidly decline so we called back a few days later to ask if we could have him seen as an emergency, we were told that was not an option. Once the apointment came we were made to wait outside, as the waiting room was over crowded and at this point my dog needed assistance to walk and stand and needed floor space to lay down. After getting into the room to be seen we spent 45minutes sitting alone in an empty room with my 65lb injured dog placed 4ft off the ground on an unpacked medical exam table. Employees laughed and had loud conversations outside the door. I started filming at this point because I had a bad feeling, and I was right. The vet came in and said he was sorry he was late the whole staff was "busy with an emergency" I pointed out the laughing and chatting and he denied it happened. He pet my dog on his injured hip, asked how long he was limping (I answered) and he proclaimed confidently "it's cancer" when I asked what we could do he pointed out my dogs age and said there really wasn't much. When we got my dog home after his sedation wore off he was so much worse, his pain was so bad he wouldn't stop screaming and he was peeing blood. When the vet called later to discuss the results we let him know we would be recording the call, and I did, I asked if the new blood in the urine could possibly be from the catheter to collect his urine or if it was a new issue and Furman began to raise his voice yelling at me that it was NOT possible, behaving as though I had personally insulted him simply by asking after my dogs health. I reminded him that I was in fact recording the call, he continued to shout me down as I made inquiries, ending with "I'm sorry you are so attached to this dog". Sir, this dog was my child and his life held more value to me than most humans. At this point I called the man a fraud and disconnected the call. We immediately reached out to a new vet MOUNTAIN VIEW animal hospital, they were the polar opposite, kind empathetic staffers and Vets, with a beautiful comforting clean facility. Please if you are reading these reviews to find a new vet, go ANYWHERE else. Again I do have recorded evidence of this experience, so if anyone else has gone through this or something similar with these people and need assistance with proving their history of poor/ unethical practice please reach out to me. This entire experiance was traumatizing for my dog, my wife, and myself. I hope this review helps keep others from the same experience.

Experiencia negativa: We were customer for over 10 years. Our dog had Addison’s disease . When your animals has Addison they need a shot ever 25 days. So you can only imagine what a relationship we had. They were fantastic. The whole staff. They cared so much about our dog and family. We referred so many friends and family. Once Klaich retired and Musinic left it changed. Our veterinary’s and assistants did a great job with our beloved dog. My score is on management and front desk (who answers the phone). They might not be the veterinarian or the assistant to the vets. But they are viewed the same. They are the face of the office when you entering and exiting. They have no class or respect for people or animals. Management should always return calls. They do not. This started in August, 2024. Today (October 29, 2024) they finally returned my calls. I handled the issue myself with no answer or explanation . Very upsetting. The office is no longer managed the same and it’s getting worse. Very sad. This WAS the best veteran. I wish you all the luck if you stay or become new customers.

Experiencia fantástica: We recently moved to Reno and they have been great. We have/had two elderly dogs and the vets at Klaich have helped them both. Unfortunately through no fault of anybody we lost our large German Shepard recently who had some serious health issues at the end. They were also very great with his end of life care. I know that is sad to post but it’s also important to have people that care about the animal that is part of your family at the end. We couldn’t be happier with our Vet here and would recommend to anyone. Our other dog is an elderly Lab and he is doing wonderful in their care.

I have found that the staff, the organization of the clinic, the willingness to make an appointment work, and above all, the great sincere care we've been given for both our dogs. I feel extraordinary lucky that there is such a place, but all of our needs are met and with love, kindness, and with the most sincere effort to ensure our pets get the best and fastest care.

Experiencia negativa: It has taken me 7 and a half years after the death of my beloved soul dog, Indy, to write this because of how traumatized I was by the staff’s heartlessness and total lack of empathy and compassion. Indy fell over. It seemed as if he had a stroke. I brought him to Klaich, and he lost motor function again. They took him to the back only to return to coldly tell me they could not resuscitate him unless I paid a bill from a prior visit. While in the middle of this ultimatum, as I realized I had no way to find a way to pay immediately, the doctor came in to tell me he passed. They brought him back to me after he passed and left the room without saying a word. Although I understand it was my responsibility to pay the prior bill, their lack of compassion and total cold heartedness has stuck with me since and will for the rest of my life. I will forever feel responsible for his death.

Experiencia negativa: AWFUL experience. Took a new cat there to, initially, get him checked for ringworm. Paid GOOD money to get a test done to find out if he has it. A week goes by and I finally get a call. "Oh, the test came back negative but these things aren't always a 100% and I personally think your cat has ringworm." This is what the vet said to me. Why would I pay money to get an UNRELIABLE test done, just for the vet to tell me at the end it's inaccurate and there's even a MORE accurate test I can do if I cough up MORE MONEY. Ridiculous. A scam. Absolutely useless. Waste of time. Waste of money. This clinic is clearly taking advantage and trying to squeeze as much money out of me for my new cat. I'll be taking him elsewhere to get a more reliable analysis. Do not go here. They will take advantage.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed in Klaich. I definitely don’t recommend taking your animal here unless you’ve got at least $1000+ dollars to spend. I’ve taken my Pets there for over 20 years and every year it seemed more and more transactional and all about the money. The last time I brought in my 12 year old GSP for making throwing up sounds. They said there was a dark spot in his stomach from something he ate. They proceed to do X-rays and sedation to come to the conclusion he needed to be cut open and cleaned out. That what ever was in there would not pass on its own. I mentioned is there any other option. They said they can keep an eye on him for the day, ReX-ray later and see if there is any change. I called at 4:30 for a progress check. They then X-rayed with a no change result. I said so surgery is the only option. They said yes but the surgeon left for the day. I was free to pick him up then bring him back first thing in the morning. The bill was $1050 for the day. And told $3500- to $4500 more for the surgery, if everything went smoothly. I took him home. Started looking up the problem online and read, you can give your dog a cap full of peroxide to make him puke. Sure enough it worked! He puked up GRASS and was just fine after. As I was there an older lady was also paying a $1000 plus bill crying it was her whole savings. I really hope it wasn’t a scenario like mine that could have been avoided. I let them know my experience and their response was “We’ll make your account inactive”. They are literally printing money. I highly recommend you find another vet.

I am so thankful my beautiful Ally's last moments were in the hands of these amazing people, especially Dr. Painting.

Experiencia positiva: They've always been great with our cats, but the last visit the vet spent 3 seconds looking inside the cats mouth, made appointment over a month out for dental surgery. Gave pain meds (not enough to last and no antibiotics ). Charged 350.00. The prices have gone way up and the service has gone down. Makes caring for our pets more difficult. We're not made of money.

Experiencia negativa: Klaich has become a sad place. Paid several hundreds of dollars for lab work for my cat who's losing weight and has bloody stools. It's been a month, and three phone calls later, and the doc still didn't call back with the results. A fourth phone call later: he's on holiday! Meanwhile, my cat is deteriorating. I'm now trying to get the lab work emailed to me and will take my business to a vet who actually cares about animals.

Experiencia positiva: I love how much the front office staff love your dog. I wish the vet tried a little more to interact with him. I know they are busy but he has to trust you so you think you would build that rapport. Nothing bad at all just will take a few more times of him going to get used to it

Experiencia fantástica: Front counter staff is very attentive. The doctor was very responsive. I have an old girl who had to have a couple procedures done. She's my first dog with my wife so she was basically our first kid. Doctor Nicole seems to genuinely care about animals and even spoke to me twice on the phone.

Experiencia positiva: I don't know what it's like inside this place yet, but yesterday a stray cat I've been looking after gave birth to kittens in my home. I panicked and called the emergency line for this animal hospital since they were the closest to me, and the vet techs on the line were amazing. They talked me through what to look for, when to call them and how to care for her in the meantime. Absolutely outstanding help, and I'm very grateful. Thank you guys! Also -- Mama kitty is okay and I will most likely be coming to bring the kittens in here when the time comes.

Experiencia negativa: Would give them 0 stars if I could! I had to wait over an hour for my appointment and once my cat was seen, they prescribed him medication without having anything in his labs indicating he needed it. He continued to get worse and ended up going to the emergency vet later that night. The emergency vet ran many of the same tests as Klaich and charged half as much for the same labs. It ended up being too late and my cat died from a bad reaction to the medication he didn't need that Klaich prescribed. When I called to express my upset about what happened and request a refund for the tests that had to be done twice, I was treated with contempt and only offered a compliment exam for my now dead cat. I will never bring another animal here.

Experiencia negativa: Klaich has been in Reno for a very long time and has sadly gone downhill, it is more driven to obtaining money than quality of care. And if in an emergency situation there is not enough exam time allowed to root thru the issues. If you want high quality vet care this is not the place to obtain it.

Both of my pets have complex chronic medical issues and Dr. Nichols has always been so knowledgeable, compassionate, professional, and generally all-around amazing. The front desk staff is such an awesome and friendly group and the pharmacy team is so quick at filling prescriptions and letting you know when they're ready. It's so amazing when a vet office truly cares about the animals they're taking care of and takes the time to really listen to pet owners and handle pets with care and compassion. Truly the best vet ever :)

Experiencia fantástica: We've been taking our Malshi (half Maltese and half ShiTzu) since we first got her (JD) in 2014 to Klaich and have been very happy with the care she's received. Unfortunately, she has had a number of health problems that have resulted in necessary (I did the research to verify) surgeries, so we do have considerable experience and history with Klaich. They have always been very caring and thorough and we love JD's vet, Dr. Catterson, who has been with her from the beginning.

Experiencia fantástica: I am literally crying writing this. I had such a great experience here today. It was our first visit. My dog recently got so traumatized at Banfield that she didn't even want to step foot into the vet. She does have a history of not liking getting her nails trimmed. The technician immediately saw her stress and adjusted accordingly. The vet Dr. Whalen came in with so much excitement and acceptance (and cheese wiz). That it really calmed down my dog, Birdie. I had previous recommendations from Banfield that didn't seem accurate and she assured me of my feelings. They were able to lovingly get her temperature and check everything as well as some vaccines with no issues. They then took her in the back to attempt a nail trim with a back up plan of a gentle approach! Ugh! Love them! I assumed they wouldn't be able to complete many nails because she hadn't had enough meds to calm her but Birdie came out not even 5 minutes later with all nails trimmed. No quicks clipped. The amount of care and attention is unmatched in the Reno area. I have so much relief they are willing to work with vet hospital anxious dogs. GO HERE!

Experiencia fantástica: When it comes to the care of the animals, excellent. Very long wait for drop ins due to high volume of business. I will suggest using a Swiffer in the rooms after each patient do the amount of hair left. Hair could leave germs from the visits.

Experiencia negativa: My dog only needed to have her prescription renewed. The hospital requested an appointment for test. Fine. $300 later and a pitch for supplements (they are selling) I got the prescription and an additional gift. Kennel cough for my dog that will most likely be passed to my other dogs. Of course when I called, I was told that each dog will have to come in for complete blood work and exam for something that was contracted at their office (24 hours after her visit). $1000 and a hang up from the office was what is received. Keep in mind that your pet will not only be seen, but will catch something additional that you will have to pay for. With the additional cost, you get to pay for a rude staff and the privileged of emptying your wallet.

Unfortunately my last visit was for a end of life for my old pomeranian Kaizer. The situation sucked very much but the staff at Klaich made my boy as comfortable as they could before he moved on. The small town feel customer service that they had even just 10 years ago is long gone and just like every where else the prices have sky rocketed. I've been bringing my pets here for about 25 years and I'll continue bringing my pets to this place because they truly give great care to the animals they treat. I do recommend them but be prepared for a long wait to get an appointment and a big bill at the end of the appointment.

At the time, we were unable to thank Dr Haggblade and the very caring staff who showed patience and sympathy, yet were sensitive and honest in what keeping him with us would mean.. I would recommend Dr Haggblade and Klaich Veterinary because their respect and care of our little man and his entire grieving family would likely only be surpassed in the care they would provide on an on-going basis for our animal companions. It was a Sunday afternoon and my dog needed emergency surgery. Dr Furman & staff were able to get us in on the following Tuesday for the pelvic repair, thankfully! I can't thank EVERYONE ENOUGH for their care and compassion for all their patients. I highly recommend Klaich Animal hospital for all of your pets medical needs. We do lab work and visits periodically. Dr. Furman is patient, thorough and always willing to answer all my questions. I really appreciate his approach.

Experiencia positiva: The surgery went okay removing a lipoma from my dogs left elbow. I would recommend to the veterinarians instead of Staples they should use sutures especially at the back of the elbow. My dog lost a total of six Staples halfway through week number two of recovery. My regular vet replaced those Staples on her elbow with sutures which hold a lot better. Downside is she had to go through another round of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and twice as long with the cone

Experiencia fantástica: No one ever wants to have to go to the emergency vet, but if you do, Klaich is absolutely the one that you want to go to. I called ahead as instructed by our regular vet and was able to pre-register and get an estimate on how many people were ahead of us. When we arrived, the staff was very friendly. We had a little bit of a wait but nowhere near that wait that we’ve had at other emergency vets. The vet that we saw and her nurse, were absolutely incredible. They were so friendly and sweet to my pup. The vet did a great job of explaining everything and gave me options on how to diagnose and treat. I am extremely happy with our visit

They were able to get bloodwork on all 3 and knew how to deal with timid dogs. Awesome. I was able to schedule all 3 of my doggos on one day and bring them in one at a time. Very nice experience.

Some have been very expensive, others have started the practice of dropping your pet off but never actually seeing the Vet. My son had been going to Klaich and was very happy with them. So when we got a new puppy I decided to give them a try. The office was clean and spacious enough to have 3-4 pets and owners waiting. We were seen after a 10 minute wait. The veterinary asst. saw us first and took the basic info. Dr. Haggblade then came in and discussed our needs and wants for our new puppy. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything she wanted to do. Communication was open and friendly. She was very sweet and gentle with our pup. We were very happy that we had made this choice for a Vet. I was prepared for a fairly high bill for the initial visit, and the meds. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the visit was.Considerately less than I expected. Overall, we are delighted with our choice to go to Klaich. We highly recommend them.

They’ve seen us through a claw surgery, epilepsy, and every minor and annual visit. I haven’t encountered a single person there that isn’t absolutely awesome, from the front desk techs to our very awesome vet Dr. Catterson (and how awesome is her name??? <3) I was worried about leaving our vet in Pennsylvania but we landed in the best hands when we got to Nevada and I would never go anywhere else.

Old American Staffy Princess in and she was diag'd w cancer, they were very loving and understanding went through every option possible gave us the best advice they could considering comfort of Princess, quality of life and at the end price. We made the choice to make her as comfortable as possible until it was time to let go and when that time came the doc talked us through everything in a loving way. The brought a blanket in she had not ate for 2 days and the doc brought in some canned chicken and she ate it all gone. The doc got on the floor with us gave meds to calm her then the final shot and she cried with us on the floor. Then gave us space to say goodbye. They were fair with all finances and very caring w our dog. They have us as a puppy patient for life! We just got a new puppy this week cannot wait to take him in for his first check up.

I have tried other vets when Klaich has been too far booked out and nothing compared to their expertise, care, and staff. In particular, Dr. Haggblade is our very own patron saint of veterinary care. She is simply exceptional. I have never had a vet exude more care and love for her work, in addition to being an outstanding communicator and just a good human. When it comes time to make some of the toughest choices about my pets well-being there is nowhere else I would go than Dr. Haggblade at Klaich.

Experiencia negativa: Five star review from 1996-2022: Probably the best group of Veterinarians in town. I’ve been taking my pets here for decades. Been to others and none are as good. Highly recommend. August 2022: My daughter, my wife, and our very sick pet were not treated well. I had a good conversation with a member of management, after a one of their vets refused to euthanize or family cat, but really no resolution could be reached….our pet is still suffering due to the inaction of the vet and her telling us, in so many words, how terrible we were to consider euthanasia. In the end, and after 20+ years of great service, I’ve decided my family will no longer bring our pets here…the events of one visit were that bad.
