Experiencia fantástica: This place clearly only hires literal angels. We took our Green Cheek Conure in last night/this morning because he was suddenly really ill. Dr. Tanya was so kind. She was honest about her thoughts on his prognosis but also didn’t give up hope. I truly believe they did all they could and I’m thankful they were with him when he passed. The staff that I spoke with AFTER his passing was also so kind and helpful. They truly care about pets. (Even 51g birds) Thank you! )they also did refund most of the prepayment as soon as he passed).

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend for any pet parents. Compassionate, kind and competent. We saw them treat dogs, cats, rabbits and a lizard while we were there! Everyone got the same level of attention and care. They were really busy and we expected to wait a while but we were seen within 15 minutes of arrival. My pet had to stay for treatment and I received text and phone updates during her stay.

Experiencia fantástica: The best place in CLT for emergency care for your pets and the gold standard for what veterinary care should be. They have an open style office so you can stay with your pet and visit as often as you like - no matter what time it is. Every single time I called to check in or with a question, I was put directly through to the Dr on duty. They were communicative at every step along the way, the staff was incredibly empathetic and compassionate, and it felt like they genuinely cared for our dog as much as we do. We were honestly a little sad when we had to transfer her out for a higher level of care and disappointed in the next facility by comparison. I’d give VEG 1,000 stars if I could.

Experiencia fantástica: My bird was on deaths doorstep when I called for an ER appointment. Her specialty vet was not on call so this was our first visit. The staff was very transparent about their capacity to handle exotics, but they did everything they could to keep her comfortable and alive during her stay. Thanks to VEG she made it through the night and is being treated by her regular vet. I highly recommend this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: The best!! We were traveling and 6 hours from our home when our dog needed to be rushed to an ER vet. We googled and picked this location based on reviews. So glad we did! Every member of the staff was excellent, kind, caring and patient. They never rushed us or pressured us into making decisions we didn't want. They treated our dog like he was the only one there. Sharing some laughs with them helped as well. We are beyond grateful that we went to VEG and will always recommend them!!

Experiencia fantástica: Our precious cat, Libby, had a frightening episode of inappetence and gastrointestinal distress over the weekend, when our trusted Dickson Animal Clinic was closed. After facing a 3–5 hour wait at another emergency clinic in Charlotte, we decided to visit Veterinary Emergency Group - SouthPark, located across from SouthPark Mall — and we are so grateful that we did. VEG was truly a godsend. Libby’s intake was completed over the phone by Kevin, a calm and compassionate receptionist. The facility was impeccably clean, modern, and welcoming. Libby was seen immediately and treated with exceptional care by nurse Sally, who was both attentive and gentle. We were offered bottled water, coffee, and snacks, and were encouraged to remain with Libby throughout her examination and testing. We could even observe her X-rays and ultrasound from outside the room. Dr. Kumar presented a thorough, thoughtful treatment plan and explained her rationale clearly and in detail. We were also able to monitor Libby’s progress on a screen displaying each patient’s latest vitals. Within 30 minutes of our arrival, Libby’s labs and imaging were completed and interpreted. In the meantime, she received fluids and anti-nausea medication to ease her symptoms. Although Libby’s condition was stable and we ultimately chose to bring her home, VEG offered the option of overnight inpatient care. Several patients were staying overnight in private rooms, each with a small couch so families could visit or remain with their pets — much like a human hospital setting. Libby’s lab results and imaging were promptly emailed to us and to her primary veterinarian, Dr. Whitesell. She was discharged with a thoughtful goody bag of specialty foods to help encourage her appetite. We even received a follow-up call the next day to check on her well-being. This level of personalized, compassionate care is truly exceptional and increasingly rare. While Libby is still recovering, VEG provided us with reassurance, transparency, and outstanding medical support during a very distressing time. If you ever need emergency care for your four-legged family member, I cannot recommend VEG highly enough.

Experiencia fantástica: We unfortunately have ended up having to unexpectedly go to a VEG in need of assistance with our sweet pup Winny the Wiener pup and we are so glad we went here. This entire staff is incredibly kind, caring, professional, excel in their field with the skills they possess and gave us help and answers so quickly. Both Chrystal’s (sorry if I spelled it wrong) up front and the nurse in the back, were wonderful, the kind lady that held down our screaming pup and kept him comfortable during his sedation and our awesome doctor Carlie made this scary visit peaceful and calm and gave our lil guy so much love and care. Thank you for all you do. We appreciate you.

Experiencia fantástica: Merlot had gastrointestinal surgery due to a blockage. This surgery was done at Wilkinson Animal Hospital and he received excellent care there, however he needed an overnight stay at a 24 hour hospital. He was transferred to VEG and from the moment we arrived it was evident this was a different type of Emergency vet care. First, pets and pet parents are not sequestered away, and pets are not taken off to a treatment area away from their family. Merlot did excellent with all the other animals who were there getting treated. There was a rabbit, a chinchilla, a cat, and several dogs of a variety of sizes and breeds and injuries and illnesses. Astonishingly, they all seemed to understand that this was a special place. There was no barking or reactivity. Just quiet observation from treatment area to treatment area. Merlot seemed much less traumatized getting his various lab draws and is IV placed. He was curious, but such a good boy. I was encouraged to stay if I wanted to, but I needed to go home and rest so I could be ready to take care of him. I was also assured that I could call if I needed/wanted to check in on him, but that if there was any change they would call me. I called about 2:30 am and got an update. The doctor called me about 6:30 am with an update and a time that my baby would be discharged. Throughout the process everyone worked to make sure that my furrbaby was top priority with his care team and that I got the support I needed to be his best Hooman Mom. Experiencia fantástica: We had to bring in our cat two times over two days, and both experiences were wonderful (or as wonderful as it can be when you have to take your fur baby to the ER). Everyone was so loving, kind, and compassionate. They listened to our concerns and addressed them promptly. The exam on our cat both times was thorough, and the tasks performed on her were done in a gentle manner. To be honest, I never considered VEG as an option because I have ever only had recommendations for CARE, but due to the snow we had no option but to go to VEG as it was only a few minutes away. Now, I think VEG will be my first option if my pets ever need emergency care again. Thank you!!

Experiencia fantástica: I spent 10 minutes trying to find an overnight urgent care for my puppy. This was the only place around charlotte I could find. As soon as i walked in they took my puppy to the back and immediately treated him. I thought i would have to sign paperwork before anything but these lovely people treated my dog immediately with such great care. I wasn’t even charged anything. If your dog is having issues I absolutely recommend VEG ER for Pets.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to bring one of my foster dogs in two nights ago for wounds from a dog fight, and they were simply phenomenal. I feel like they went above and beyond for my boy, and I am so thankful they were there when we needed them! Highly recommend!

They were so reassuring, thorough and explanatory through every step, and we would go anywhere else with our dog in the event of an emergency, though we hopefully won’t have to!!

Experiencia fantástica: my two rabbits got into a huge fight and one had his lip hanging off. i called here sobbing and they told me to come right on in. they immediately got weights and temps on my rabbits as soon as we walked in. multiple techs gave us full attention and answered all of our questions. the doctor was sweet and understanding and talked us through everything. we ended up having to sedate my one rabbit to shave and suture his lip. we got to watch the whole thing and i loved being a part of the process. the staff clearly cares deeply about all of their patients and provide the best care they can. i couldn’t be happier with my experience. thank you all for helping my babies

Experiencia fantástica: I had a middle-of-the-night sick Cavi dog. Great experience from the greeting I received via the security guard, to the entire staff. The Veterinarian was Dr. Dhwani Kumar; she and the whole team were kind, concerned and most importantly, medically efficient with urgent attention for my pet. They presented a summary of recommended treatment and costs prior to performing. This facility is easy to recommend for their competency and level of service.

Experiencia fantástica: had to put my baby girl to sleep on June 1st. it was a very terrible experience, but both the vets and techs were so amazing. they helped set everything up for me, explained the process to me, and were just overall very kind throughout the entire time. although it was a very hard day, they made me feel a little better. I know I picked the right place for roxie ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: Bulldog and dachshund got into the semi sweet chocolate on a Sunday while I was at work. After googling how dangerous chocolate is for dogs I rushed them to the VEG. Every single person there went above and beyond to take care of my bad pups, clearing the waiting room so I could bring the dog reactive bulldog in, sitting on the floor with both while they “produced” the evidence of their shenanigans, and treating me with so much kindness and understanding. If I ever find myself in need of emergency care for my animals again I would not take them anywhere else. Thank you so much to everyone at the VEG!!

Experiencia fantástica: VEG was phenomenal. It was our first time going to an emergency vet, and we ended up there late at night while visiting from out of town. They were SO kind and caring to us and our puppy. We were seen right away, and they let us be involved in the entire process. Their staff were very funny and cheerful which made the whole experience less scary. They also gave us options for treatment and were up front with the cost. I am so grateful we ended up in their care.

Experiencia fantástica: We took are very sick dog for treatment here and everything they did for us helped her to feel so much better. We were in and out in a pretty decent amount of time and the cost was reasonable. We would highly recommend this place to anyone needing an emergency vet visit. We showed up without an appointment and they were wonderful!

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my dog in at 4:30 am and she was seen immediately. Unfortunately my dog had to be admitted but I was in and out in under 15 mins. They took great care of her and she’s feeling so much better. I especially appreciated the frequent text message updates as well as the security guard making sure I safely got into my car as I was leaving during the early morning hour.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely the best care I've ever received from any vet group, ever. So compassionate, gentle, and quick to act. My cat Amadeus almost died and two surgeries later he's on the mend. One pill was too big to get him to swallow. I called mildly panicking. No worries, they told me to drop by and they gave me a care package of treats, a pill dispenser, syringes to make his capsules into an oral medication and my nerves were so shot from anxiety and I was so overcome with emotion and gratitude that I hugged and cried in Ms. Megan's arms. Tonight he started shitting all over himself uncontrollably and I freaked out, thinking he was having an adverse reaction to all the meds he was on. The doctor talked me through very single worry I had and I was able to calm down. Left with probiotics, puppy pads to lay down in our closet so we wouldn't have to clean up poop every day off the carpet, and a clean cat. They bathed him for me to clean him up and shaved the back of his tail to make cleaning easier. I am simply blown away by the level of care from this team. I felt like my pet and I mattered, and I can NOT recommend this team enough. I hope all vet offices strive for this kind of excellence. Because they are the absolute pinnacle.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff was so welcoming and kind! You can really tell that they care about the animals they care for. We came in seeking help for our senior dog, he was limping and lethargic (just not acting like himself) and we couldn’t get in to our normal vet for a checkup. There was zero wait time upon our arrival and we got right in to a treatment room! Their special care for his arthritis and making sure he was comfortable the entire appointment was above and beyond. They were extremely transparent about what my dog needed and the price of the appointment, even working with us and what we could afford that day. We were involved and informed with each step of his care, nothing felt pressured or salesy. We will definitely be back here if there’s ever another emergency situation with our pets!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been to the VEG on Sharon Rd twice now and have had great experiences. The doctors and nurses are wonderful and care for your pet as if they’re treating their own. Cannot recommend this location enough!

Experiencia fantástica: We had to take our cat there when CARE was full. She was seen quickly by the staff even though we showed up at shift change. The vet and tech explained the diagnosis and treatment plan very well. They handled her very gently, and they treated all of us with a lot of compassion.

Experiencia fantástica: We couldn’t have been happier with our experience with VEG. The staff is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Whenever we called they gave us very detailed updates on our pup and were allowed to visit him and be apart of his treatment throughout his stay. I couldn’t recommend VEG enough for any emergency care.

Experiencia fantástica: We can’t say enough about our experience at VEG today. Our 10 year old doodle ate steel wool and the staff at VEG was supportive, walked us through every detail and went through each non-invasive option to get him okay considering his age. He was back home within hours thanks to their quick work! We could tell that every pet under their care was treated like their own pets which is rare! Thank you to all the drs and vet technicians that helped get our Beau back okay!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I can not say enough amazing things about VEG. My Yorkie had to make two visits there this week and every single person from the front desk, to the nurses to the doctors were so incredibly kind and informative. My Yorkie (who is doing great!) ultimately had to have a surgery that they were not able to perform but they referred me to another incredible place (Park Road Animal Hospital) and they were able to get me in the next morning! Amazing people all around I am so glad this place exists!

Experiencia fantástica: I took my sweet Bunny here, late at night after a tragic accident left her without sensation in her back legs. The veterinarian and Nurses were so kind and compassionate through the whole process of Diagnosis, pain management for her, and eventually the difficult decision for euthanasia. The entire process they were there for us and nearby, even when the office was unbelievably busy. They were very upfront about cost the entire visit and always gave alternative options making the process that much more comforting. I couldn’t recommend this office more to people looking for comfort and wonderful treatment of their pet.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog and I had to go in late last night for some issues he was having. Dr. Sniel (sorry if that's spelled wrong) was an absolute angel. She explained things very well and overall just seemed to really care, I can't thank her enough! The nurses and reception staff were also great and we were in and out with the care and answers we needed within an hour. Hopefully we never need to come back, but this is the emergency vet I'd choose every time. A super plus that it was very clean in there!

They were very caring and helped me help my baby cross the rainbow bridge in a private room. I appreciate their caring nature and sweet card they sent after his passing.

The staff was very professional and experienced. The doctors kept me up to date through the treatment. When I came to visit, they were supportive and encouraging and gave us a room to let my cat walk around. I also appreciate the security lady who walked us out to the car. She was so sweet.

Experiencia fantástica: My sweet dog went into respiratory distress on a Saturday night. I called ahead and rushed him to VEG. They took him right in and immediately assessed his situation. Late stage heart disease. The Dr. was so compassionate and thorough. Everyone on staff was amazing for a very difficult situation. We discussed options. They allowed us to sit with out beloved pet until the rest of the family arrived. We chose to put him down. They prepped a private room where we held our baby and said goodbye. When we were ready the Dr. came in and professionally dispatched our baby. This team made a very sad and difficult event tolerable. Thank you, We appreciate you.

Experiencia fantástica: What a great pet ER! I walked in and was seen immediately. Everyone was very kind. They listen and asked good questions. The doctor talked through treatment and tests. This was a weird case and nothing was discovered. We are monitoring our cat for more unusual behavior. The doctor was very good at explaining things and not pushing unneeded tests.

Experiencia fantástica: These kind people received a boy and his poor dog in the midst of medical crisis. You can pay people to do a job, but you can't pay them to care about their job - that only comes from a sense of purpose; these people had it in spades. Exceedingly kind, exceedingly professional, I am grateful we were in their care on this worst of days.

Experiencia negativa: Didn’t receive the kind of compassion I’ve come to expect when interacting with VEG today. Immediately upon noticing one of my rats has an overgrown tooth that is impacting her ability to chew/swallow, I started to call around to see if anyone could get us in today. She seems uncomfortable, and I didn’t want her to have to wait to see her regular vet if she didn’t have to. When discussing my concern with the vet on shift I was told, to my surprise and disappointment, “well dental disease doesn’t happen overnight”. Right, okay…… No thanks to VEG, I was able to come up with an intermediary treatment plan with her regular vet who was able to email me back and will do a drop off appt tomorrow. I’ve always trusted and thought highly of VEG, I’ve been there with foster dogs before and they’re who my vet even says to call if they can’t be reached. I’ve called in worse panic before and always felt like someone was trying to help/guide on the other end of the phone. Highly disappointed in this interaction. I hope better words can be chosen of in the future, regardless of how quick or not something happens. I was panicked to see that today and am just concerned over the well being of my rat.

Experiencia fantástica: Just had abdominal surgery on my dog and could not have been happier with the care I received at veterinary Emergency Group. They were beyond what I expected. Everything was handled flawlessly I was involved and every step of the process. I even got to spend the night there with my dog while she was recovering from surgery. I highly highly highly recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter and I brought our 11 year old dog Lola in on Wednesday evening. Our baby was in heart failure and the wonderful doctors did all they could but it was too far gone!! They walked us through every step of the way and were so compassionate! The ER itself was so impressive and I also have to say every other vet told us a 6-8 hour wait but you guys told us to come right in . We did have an hour drive there but they waiting for us as soon as we pulled up!! I rightly recommend them!!

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent! I have never been in an emergency vet office like it. It combines the best medical care a dog could ever get with a behind the scenes look at what these exceptional people do on a daily basis. We were taken back with our dog Lacie immediately. She received top notch care from people that obviously care. I almost wondered was I in some kind of dream it was so unusually great. We have got so use to horrible waits and burned out not caring vet care, that when you find a place like this, you have to wonder how it was created and how it is even possible. My words do not come close to how great the place is.

Experiencia negativa: During my visit, I found the doctor to be somewhat rude and dismissive. She seemed more focused on upselling additional tests and treatments than reassuring me that my pet would be stable until I could follow up with my primary veterinarian. I received inconsistent information throughout the night, which left me feeling uncertain about my pet’s care. Her demeanor also came across as inexperienced, and at one point she even slammed the door after I asked reasonable questions regarding pricing and treatment options. Overall, I did not feel that my concerns as a pet owner were respected or that my pet’s immediate well-being was the priority.

Experiencia fantástica: This team was so sweet and helpful. My pup absolutely loved everyone. It made it much easier to deal with a scary situation.

Experiencia fantástica: When my senior dog was not getting better from his primary care and had to be seen at the ER, the care providers at this facility took the urgency seriously and helped me to come up with a treatment plan that addressed his most critical issues. When the likelihood that his condition would not improve they were patient with me and everyone was kind and accommodating to his needs and mine. We didn't end up going home together after a 24hr stay, but he left in the comfort of a warm blanket in a dimmed room, and everything I wish he could've had before he crossed to the rainbow bridge. Thank you for the high quality of care you provided us.

Experiencia fantástica: As a referral doctor to VEG, they always take exceptional care of our patients. Our most recent referral was for an emergency surgery. Dr. Chimel did a fantastic job on the surgery and patient recovery and I appreciate Dr. Krumar for jumping in to help when the surgery got a little complicated. All of the technicians were extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and caring as well. Our clients are always impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the practice and love the open concept where they can stay with their pets throughout their stay in the ER. Dr. Carly and her assistant were so kind and I loved the efficiency of the office, the transparency about my dog’s condition, and their honesty in getting me to the proper place for continued care/diagnostics. A lot of businesses would have tried to make as much money off of you as possible then refer you, but you could tell they wanted what was best and made the most sense for their patients. Experiencia fantástica: I had an excellent experience with the VEG team from start to finish. Morgan took our initial call and greeted us warmly upon arrival. She was incredibly kind and gentle with our Frenchie, Petey, which immediately put us at ease. Dr. Aimee Prevallet was fantastic—she quickly put together a treatment plan and thoroughly explained everything to us. When Petey got sick again on Monday, we brought him back, and Dr. Aimee picked up right where we left off without missing a beat. We are so grateful for her care and expertise. The entire staff was amazing throughout our visits. One small but meaningful gesture stood out—a gentleman passing by on Sunday stopped to drop off two water bottles for us. It was a simple act, but it made a big difference during a stressful time. We also appreciated the regular updates during Petey’s stay. Everyone was consistently friendly and approachable, which helped ease the anxiety of the situation. The staff’s kindness truly made all the difference, and we never dreaded going to the VEG office. Experiencia fantástica: We brought our cat in on Sunday, from another emergency vet that couldn't figure out what was going on - they called VEG and got us a doctor as soon as we walked in and already recognized our cat Brimstone's name. We weighed him in the open treatment area but were moved to a private room that helped our cat relax a little and not be so worried about other animals! We really appreciated getting to stay with Brimstone while various treatments were happening and having the amount we paid broken down into an itemized bill and explained to us. Very grateful we were able to get a heads up on the final price and work with them about it along the way. We were treated very kindly and sympathetically - the staff and doctors explained the medical terms and conditions they were seeing as best they could, and made sure the next doctor taking care of Brimstone had all the information she needed to give him the care he needed. All technology was up to date and useful, what we paid was explained fully, and we could tell everyone working there was well-trained and knew what they were doing. We are beyond grateful for the emergency care y'all provided and doubt we'd have Brimstone without it.

Experiencia fantástica: I would recommend any VEG, but especially this location. Dr. Perkins and the staff were great. My dog, Kaya, had collapsed suddenly. They took us right back. Dr. Perkins helped quickly to get us the diagnosis of a ruptured tumor that was causing internal bleeding. Devastating news, but Dr. Perkins was able to deliver us this info in a straightforward, professional manner. I wish I knew the names of the techs and assistants, but they were wonderful (especially the one who gave me a hug while I was a crying mess). VEG also was able to get us into another specialty vet in the middle of the night once Kaya progressed beyond what they could help with. I think it shows the utmost professionalism and humility when any doctor, human or animal, knows when it is time to send the patient to another office. The second vet agreed with all of Dr. Perkins assessments (not that I had any doubt) which helped in my decision for next steps. Kaya ultimately passed 2 days later but I’m thankful for the kindness VEG showed.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone was so kind. I was seen immediately! They knew the vet scene stressed my cat out so they let us have a room all to ourselves to help him relax. Wonderful teamwork and collaboration amongst everyone, especially at 1 am on a sunday night. They even have a security officer at the door and walks you too and from your car during late hours :)

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at VEG were all amazing and caring. I felt the warm and excellent care given to River was truly sincere. I was consistently offered to stay by my dog, River’s side through each step of the way. That also meant so much to me. I chose not to be in the treatment room for inducing him to vomit after swallowing an entire chicken leg bone and half of of another. However, I felt he was in good hands. It was all successful and River was given meds to stop the nausea. I’m so grateful that the staff were patient and kind when I was so upset. I left feeling relieved and happy we made the decision to come here. Thank you to Dr Sites, Amber, and Ray for taking such good care of my River❤️

Experiencia fantástica: This will sound dramatic, but it’s just because this dog is the love of my life (out of my 3). My boy got bitten by a snake today and they answered the phone to my frantic questions immediately with so much patience. Brought us back for triage immediately, and every single person in there was so very kind to me and my dog, that I would have trusted any recommendation they made without hesitation. Luckily his bloodwork came back as no envenomation and he will be okay. But truly, they were so professional and nice. I would recommend to anyone.

However, VEG went above and beyond and I will never take my dog anywhere else again! We were seen IMMEDIATELY when we walked in the door which helped ease my nerves. Every single person on the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and kept us updated and involved on the treatment plan. They also provided the exact costs of the treatments in writing before they did anything so that you know exactly what they’ll be doing and what you’re paying for. They were extremely patient in answering any and all questions and even let me adjust the treatment plan to make me feel more comfortable. You can tell everyone there is passionate about their job and wants to make patients’ visits as easy as possible. Thank you VEG!

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend. It’s not cheap, but no emergency vet care is. The admission process, set up of the facility and level of staff expertise was fantastic. But most importantly in any emergency situation, we were seen to immediately. We did not have to wait hours and hours to be admitted, unlike some other CLT area facilities.

Experiencia fantástica: My bearded dragon happened to prolapse on a Friday evening of a holiday weekend on the same weekend that all exotic vets happened to be attending an exotic vet conference in Seattle. Not ideal. However, this vet was incredible and took care of my sweet girl and I got to watch her procedure and be with her the entire time. I also really appreciated the kind staff member that greeted me at the front door and took me into a room with my bearded dragon — they were extremely thoughtful and caring throughout my experience, checking in on my bearded dragon, Oscar, and myself and offering snacks and beverages. I wish I caught their name!! All staff I interacted with were excellent and helped explain things and I really appreciated being involved in her care and the work they did. I’m so thankful to know about this vet that also cares for exotic animals, as I did not even know it existed before, despite visiting this shopping center frequently!

I was greeted and taken back immediately and saw a doctor in just about 10 minutes. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, they were not only concerned with getting my dog comfortable but also me. I have never had such a great experience at an ER vet and I will sing VEG’s praises forever. I am so grateful for them! I was also in and out in about an hour!

Even though my little guy in some pain due to a sprain in his tail, they made me and my Arthur feel greatly appreciated and comfortable! This experience most definitely changed my perspective on Vet care I had due to some bad experiences in the past! I would love to complement absolutely everyone that worked that night, along with the VEG staff as a whole!

Experiencia fantástica: I took my cat here after he took a bite of a lily pedal and the team here did an excellent job. Emergency vets are expensive, but your pet is going to get great care here. I've been to another emergency vet in Charlotte and it's not even close. Doctors and tech were all great, I felt very involved in the process and was given frequent updates while my cat was in their care. So, so highly recommended. Thanks VEG!

They were extremely patient with me and my husband, even though we were probably a bit annoying lol. We had tons of questions, Dr.Kumar was extremely attentive and gave us real, detailed, professional answers that didnt beat around the bush like many other medical experts. Everyone was so kind and adaptive as well. My household is low income and even with this and having to pay 100% upfront, we were able to get the care we needed to keep our baby with us thanks to the many options provided for treatment. The staff here truly wishes the best for you and your pet and you can tell. I absolutely recommend this clinic, 10/10 service all around.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience with VEG. Took my bearded dragon in for a prolapse and even on the phone when I called I was able to speak to a doctor which was awesome. They told me to bring him in, they took us right back when we got there. The open concept is awesome to see. The tech and doctor were fantastic and were great as we went through a tough time. They were compassionate and caring and could tell they really cared about you. Will definitely be going straight to them for any more animal emergencies!!

Experiencia fantástica: Today we had to take Rocky in for eating a large piece of a toy. From the moment I called and asked about walk ins to the moment we left, I was impressed with the level of care. The team was able to get the toy out of Rocky quickly and let us be in the room and be informed about everything. The facility is clean and the staff is exceptional. I can’t thank them all enough and we are so thankful we brought Rocky here.

Experiencia fantástica: I will admit I was a bit skeptical of this place when we first got there. I wasn’t able to call ahead and my dog was vomiting after ingesting a toy. When I arrived they were very busy and even though my dog was continuously throwing up and uncomfortable it took over 2 1/2 hours for the doctor to get to us. Additionally since it’s open concept I could see the vet sitting at a computer. I know there’s a process for things but when my dog is hurting and I can see the vet doing paperwork rather than helping him it’s extremely frustrating. I debated on going somewhere else because it was taking so long. But boy am I happy we stayed. Once the second vet (Dr. Han) got there the tides turned. Immediately once she arrived my dog was assessed. She was knowledgeable and helpful and kind and did wonderfully on his surgery. I was a nervous reck and she answered all my questions. The vet techs also deserve a HUGE shoutout. We were there for 12 hours they were so incredibly kind and helpful, always offering me food and water. They let me sit with my dog in his crate before surgery and hold his hand throughout the entire thing. They brought me chairs, made sure I was comfortable, they even gave my dog a heating blanket and tucked him in after surgery. They took so much time with him because he was nervous and when I had to leave throughout the day I always came back to him getting head scratches and pets. I’ve never trusted a group of people with my dog so much in my life. The vet techs and Dr. Han worked as an invincible team to save my sweet boy and I seriously cannot thank them enough. I wish I got more names so I could send Christmas cards every year lol. Seriously, they were incredible. All my gratitude to this place and the people in it for making such a scary and unpleasant experience as easy as possible. Koda and I will be forever grateful UPDATE 6/28/25 I returned to VEG with a kitten I was fostering through the Charlotte shelter. She was terminally ill and they helped her cross the rainbow bridge. I was blown away at the amount of care the staff and vet put into trying to safe her little life. At their own cost they ran every test possible to see if there was any chance she could be saved and to figure out the root of what was making her so sick. When the vet came in to tell me after they got the results of the test that the best thing we could do for her was euthanize, he sat on the floor and cried with me over this 5 week old kitten that had no home and such an unfair start to life. I was blown away by the genuine compassion this staff had for this little animal. When it was her time, the tech took her back and said they were going to give her a snack, snuggles, and wrap her in a warm blanket before helping her pass. It meant the world to me that these people would put so much effort and love into helping this kitten knowing they weren’t making a single dollar off of it. I can’t recommend them enough.

The vet staff was thorough, very kind, and most importantly made our girl comfortable and gave her so much love! We would recommend to anyone and will be back for any emergency.

Experiencia fantástica: What an incredible team! All the vets and the nurses and assistants are absolutely top notch! Our golden retriever had to spend three nights here. Not only did they save her life, they made her feel loved and comfortable. The open door policy for families is the best. We were able to drop in or call any time 24-7. I was always kept up to date as to what was going on with her and how they were treating her. I am so thankful for this place. ERs for people and for animals can feel really scary for many reasons. The team at VEG took great care of our dog and of us making sure we knew exactly what was going on and invited to visit and stay as long as we wanted. My fur baby is home now resting and I couldn’t be more grateful for the excellent care she received here! Thank you for everything!!

Experiencia fantástica: From the moment I walked in the door with Fabio (Dwarf Hamster) I felt the staff was ready for anything and excited to help. Every patient was treated with full attention as well as every pet parent was genuinely seen and heard. The staff moves like a strong unit and acts like family. It was my first time ever going to a vet hospital and I was blown away just watching everyone move like a well oiled machine. I was checked on as I waited, offered water, explained everything thoroughly from billing to medical treatment, recommendations, and next steps. Fabio is up in age and time is slowly taking him away, so was comforted by the conversation and guidance. Was able to explain the future of his life to my daughter and she was able to receive the news peacefully because everything was explained in detail. I highly recommend the services here, everyone is incredible!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff here are absolutely INCREDIBLE. Their bedside manner with my very anxious GSP was like something I’ve never experienced in my 41 years of owning pets! They were so kind, so thorough, so patient, and so calm all throughout our entire visit. My sweet pup, Arlo got bit by a copperhead today, but thanks to their team and their swift and kind and knowledgeable actions, we are going to bed tonight at home altogether and hopeful that he will continue to get a little bit better each day over the next week. I can’t tell you guys enough thank you for how you got us through today. Truly, you were angels sent in that I specifically prayed for on our frantic drive to your office.

We were comfortable with approaching the team and surprisingly, comfortable leaving our kids in the waiting room while we were able to watch the surgery happen in real time. Obviously, checking on the kids frequently. Being able to watch the surgery, pre-, peri-, and post-op was so very special to me, as I am also in the medical field. To be able to watch, first hand, my first-born being well taken care of by this spectacular team meant the world to me. I’m so very thankful for this very team. Dr. Keffer was amazing. That’s it. She offered constant answers to our questions and concerns. The team that worked that night were just as accommodating. I can’t thank the team enough for this most memorable experience by saving my baby’s life.

Afterwards they allowed us time with our dog and were very empathetic. Several of my friends have used their services and agree this place is staffed with competent and caring people. Grateful to have them in the neighborhood and highly recommend them. Update June 2025. Brought my malamute puppy over after he had an altercation with my other dog. They were super efficient and very patient with my puppy that was very scared to be there. It’s so great to have immediate access to veterinary care so I don’t have to rearrange my day tomorrow to take my dog to the vet. Highly recommend this place. Efficient, speedy, and excellent providers.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog was scratched in the eye by one of our cats the night after an allergic reaction left her feeling nauseous and unable to hold anything down. My dog was treated for the nausea and the scratch at the clinic, and everyone that we interacted with was beyond kind and helpful. Danny at reception was exceptionally helpful and kind, he is fantastic at his job! All staff members were extremely thorough in caring for my pup, and proactive in explaining any issues that may arise after treatment. The next morning, the scratch in my dogs eye was no longer visible, and her nausea had subsided. Thank you so much VEG, we’re very grateful for you!

Dr. Morrison took care of our pet immediately and transitioned the care plan to the overnight team led by Dr. Kumar who was absolutely equally amazing. Clear communication and updates. No one wants to deal with emergencies, but it was more than comforting to have such an attentive, loving team of care. VEG's entire team was awesome. Experiencia fantástica: Although a visit to the emergency vet is never on anyone’s Bingo card, I must say this was a great experience. We didn’t have a life threatening emergency but it’s great to know they are here when your puppy wakes up squinting and you are getting ready for a 4 hour road trip. Loved that I got to stay with him during the entire visit, they explained everything they did along the way. Price very fair in comparison to normal Emergency vet visit and best part is we were in and out in 30 mins for a nasty eye ulcer. Open and friendly, will def tell my friends! Brisket approved!
