Reception desk staff acknowledged me quickly & warmly upon arrival and called the boarding tech who came out right away and went over the feeding and medication schedule for my client's dog. He then spoke the dog in a friendly manner by name and picked him up and pet him while carrying him to the back.

The compassionate, knowledgeable team, including Dr. Wood and the other vets, provides excellent care with patience and expertise, from routine check-ups and vaccinations to handling any urgent issues. They explain everything clearly, use gentle handling techniques (perfect for energetic herding breeds like Pearl), and offer helpful tips that make visits easier and stress-free.

Experiencia fantástica: Earlier this week we (my wife and I) had to bring my 13 year old dog “Riley” into see Dr. Williams for complications of not eating and weakness. During our visit, Sienna was also present in helping us. To say that these two ladies were awesome in their positions would be a drastic understatement. Unfortunately, my wife and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have our dog put to sleep. I am in my mid-50’s and through all the dogs I have owned throughout my life, I had never had to go through the process of euthanasia. Dr. Williams and Sienna made this process as smooth as it possibly could have been. I could go on and on about the care that Riley received that day from Dr. Williams and Sienna, but let me summarize by saying this. When a family has had a pet for 13 years and they bring it in not knowing the future of its life, and they are not prepared to say goodbye, we couldn’t have made it through the process as good as we did if it weren’t for these 2 amazing people. Please pass my thanks on to them and recognize their care, compassion and kindness that they showed a family during one of the toughest days we have ever had to go through. Thank you again Dr. Williams and Sienna!

I boarded both my dogs at Piper Glen, and now only my elderly, very grumpy Chihuahua. He has taken such great care of my two cats. As a cat owner I have had a difficult time finding a vet who I felt really cared about cats and my concerns/ their health needs. Dr. Lewis and Dr. Brown have both gone above and beyond, recently helping me through a tough situation with my very sick cat. Dr. Lewis has also done dental cleanings and extractions for several of my foster cats and has my complete trust and confidence. The clinic’s separated seating area for cats is a nice touch too. Experiencia negativa: Dr. Brown and her staff provided great care!!! The cost of this clinic is definitely on the expensive size. But what really disappointed us (and I realize this may sound petty) is that when we notified them that we lost our 17 year old cat who was VERY special to us not one person from the clinic acknowledged our loss. I even stood at the counter the following week to pick up meds for our other cat and confirmed they knew we had lost our kitty over the weekend and nothing. Nothing a few days, weeks or months later...nothing. It made me feel that is all about the money to them.

I came in and my pet wasn’t on the schedule. Tracy was nice enough to take him. The person who scheduled him said well there was a cancellation so it didn’t matter. It did matter because Tracy had called a later customer to move up. The other girl saw me come in while conversing with the other desk person. She never said can I help you, or tell the other person there was a customer. They finished their conversation while I stood there. I’ve always been asked if I want to tip Tracy but this time she totaled the bill without even mentioning it. They are your first and last pt connection. If they do not want to be congenial then they should not be there.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been bringing my animals to Dr. Wood at Piper Glen Animal Hospital since I moved to Charlotte almost 9 years ago on the recommendation of my sister, who has used this facility for nearly 18 years. From the minute you walk in the door until discharge, it’s always a pleasure working with Dr. Wood, Karen, McKenna, and the rest of the staff at Piper Glen. They truly care about animals and the pet parents that love them. Dr. Wood always treats my animals with the highest level of care and concern. I like that he explains things carefully and in a way you can understand, but does not push expensive or unnecessary procedures and medications. He tends to be a little more conservative with his treatments while doing his best to ensure the best possible outcome for animals in his care. That said, he’s not afraid to refer to other specialists when necessary to ensure each animal receives the care it needs. I also like that staff is available via text for questions and concerns and always gets back to me promptly. Dr. Wood and his staff routinely go above and beyond my expectations in the care of my animals and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone. I highly recommend this practice to all pet parents!

Experiencia negativa: Loved this vet for my dog Cooper (especially Dr Brown and Dr Lewis) - unfortunately the staff stopped working with Chewy. They originally stated on the phone it’s due to their Vet Techs “basically working for Chewy” based on the volume of requests for prescriptions. Then they claimed Chewy was selling “faulty counterfeit products” and but kept following up every conversation pushing their own website for food and medicine online (their own version of Chewy). When explaining Chewy just has way better shipping (1 day versus 5 days) and prices (they always run sales and the vet website barely does) they did not care. They refuse to fax or help you at all if you use Chewy. They made an exception at the front desk and said they would help once I showed up in person. Later, we got a text from Becky and she said no. After going back and forth she finally agreed to fax his prescription once. Really disappointing as our family dogs went here for 5-7 years and we have several friends who send their dogs here who are having similar issues.

Experiencia negativa: It used to cost $15 for a cat nail trim at Piper Glen Animal Hospital; however, now it’s $50. They kept rising their prices to $17 then $33. Now they say that with every nail trim, the technician does a health assessment. Every time when the technician brings my cat back to me, I ask about the assessment such as ‘How is my cat’s weight? How’s her heart sound?’ And they don’t have the answer. So my question is What kind of health assessment are they doing? This is just another excuse for Piper Glen Animal Hospital to raise prices for another service. I’m definitely not getting my cat’s nails trimmed there again & I’m definitely looking for a new vet. I think the doctors at Piper Glen Animal Hospital are wonderful; however, they don’t have competitive prices & there are too many vet offices in Charlotte to settle on this one.

In addition, I think they go above and beyond to give my dog individual attention. GOT MEDICINE AND AS OF NOW PRECIOUS IS ON HER WAY TO RECOVERY. AS PRECIOUS DADDY I JUST COULDN'T ASK FOR ANY MORE AND PRAISE EVERYONE WHO THEIR FOLLOW-UPS TO MAKE SURE PRECIOUS ❤️ AND her Daddy were doing fine.

After a scare tonight, we called them at 5pm (an hour before close) hoping they could help. They fit us in right away, even 45min before closing, did a full exam, testing, and were incredibly knowledgeable, answering all questions and concerns to further ensure care! On the biggest plus side of things, our pup did wonderful, especially after some rough vet appointments in the past. Experiencia fantástica: I was so impressed with the interest and care given to our cat, Lucy during our recent appointment. Dr. Brown was genuinely interested with our concerns about our cat's symptoms, as well as guiding us with some suggestions about her sleep habits. The tests taken thankfully did not indicate a UTI, and I will reach out to her again if I see any further symptoms.

Sometimes you get a warm and helpful receptionist and other times, like on this particular day, I had to interact with a rude staff. The office wasn't busy so I expected a bit more. It left a bad taste. Boarding staff, Vet techs, and the vet we see are good. They are caring and knowledgeable.

The boarding staff is incredible and takes care of our dogs with utmost care and affection. I highly recommend their boarding! Ina edition we also utilize their vet and grooming services. Dr. Wood has been seeing our pups since they were 6 weeks. Dr. Brown and Dr. Williams have taken care of them when Dr. Wood is not available. There is always a Doctor and/or technician available to answer our questions or even get a same day appointment. We love Piper Glen Animal hospital.

Experiencia fantástica: Exceptional veterinary clinic and staff. I have been taking my 15 year old Australian Shepherd to Dr. Wood since she was 8 weeks old. Dr. Wood is professional and compassionate. Just this past week, my girl was not feeling well and needed to be seen immediately. We were worked into the schedule promptly and began treatment. The radiograph technicians on staff that particular day listened to all of the “extra” delicate needs my old girl required to make her comfortable for an xray and they did exactly what I asked of them. To me, this made all of the difference that day. Dr Wood and the technicians went above and beyond. Thank you to all of the staff at Piper Glen for your professionalism and compassion if we have crossed paths. A special thank you to Dr Wood for his delicate approach with my girl and all of her special individual needs. This truly makes all of the difference for us. Thank you!

Experiencia positiva: 3 stars because the office staff are wonderful and lovely, but I had to take 2 off due to my current frustration with the boarding department. I have boarded my dogs with Piper Glen numerous times and have never had an issue until this time. At drop off, I was notified that they only had one of my two dogs registered to board. I requested a photo to be sent daily - I never received any the first day, and when I realized it was too late to call. When I finally did receive one the next day, I noticed that both of my dogs appeared to be in a smaller cage than normal and none of their toys, blankets or comfort items were placed with them. I had to respond and request for them to be added to their cage. I appreciated the confirmation from the staff member (who is familiar with my dogs) that sent another picture to follow up to show that she put everything in with them, but they should have never been without them in the first place. I never received a photo on the 3rd day. I had a family member pick them up for me, and was shocked to see the invoice total higher than expected. A price increase was never communicated to me - and it just seems like there are some areas that could use improvement terms of communication, organization, and customer service.

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t say enough good things about PGAH & their staff. The veterinarians are the best I’ve ever worked with in 15+ years experience. They are so knowledgeable & compassionate. The professionalism & response time of their staff is impeccable. I even came in with a stray animal during a tropical storm. They had no power but it didn’t stop them from caring for their customers. I’d highly recommend them to anyone whether looking for a vet, getting a second opinion or needing greater support for more complex wellness. They also have grooming & boarding services.

She was friendly, knowledgeable, and highly professional. The front staff are also friendly, patient, snd helpful. We look forward to having Piper Glen be our veterinary home.

Today, Dr. Brown was simply amazing with our 17-year old cat. I can't thank her enough for 'rescuing' our fur baby, Charlotte, and getting her eating again!

Experiencia fantástica: Always greeted with a smile when i walk in the door. The Techs and Doctors are so kind and gentle with my dog. They take the time to listen to you and explain to you what the issue is. They even call the next day or two to see how your pet is doing. This is my third animal (2 cats, 1 dog) in their care. I highly recommend Piper Glen Animal Hospital. All of the Doctors are great, i take whoever is available.

They let me view the space beforehand & upon seeing the setup I felt comfortable that he'd be in a nice place & well cared for.
