Experiencia positiva: Good veterinarian, but the prices are iffy. I got charged $79 dollars for an examination and all the doctor did was listen to my cat’s heart for 2 seconds…. That’s hardly an examination and worth my money.

Thank you for your feedback. We could not find your records and our office exam fee is $74, not $79, and includes a full physical exam, not just listening to the heart. During the visit, the doctor explains each step aloud, and the exam is recorded. We would be happy to review that with you.

Experiencia negativa: I brought my kitten Silver in yesterday PM. She was not eating or drinking & lethargic. She was given 2 shots & told to bring her in on Friday if not better. Well she got worse & died. Not even 24 hours did she live!! Out of the 3 kittens I originally brought in, now 2 are dead. Waste of money. Need to consider another vet I guess.

When Silver was seen, she was critically ill, and we shared our concerns at that time, including how serious her condition was and the guarded prognosis. Our team did everything we could within the circumstances and treatment options that were discussed during the visit.

That said, we never want a client to feel unheard or dismissed, especially during such an emotional situation. We would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly, review what happened, and answer any questions you may have.

Experiencia negativa: I took my year old cat Luna because she was not eating or drinking she was sleeping alot more than the usual I was so concerned because shes a very active cat zoomys all day just a happy girl. I took her on Thursday and the assistant asked all the questions, then said she would get the vet, he walked in and gave a her a physical exam very simple exam she had a fever of 106.1 .. he also spoke to the assistant not to me. Asked the assistant all questions and with him knowing she had a fever of 106.1 he told me he gave her two injections something for the fever and antibiotics. I ask if there something I need to give her once I toom her home he said nope we are all done give her a few days and if she's not feeling better bring her back at no charge$$. That's it then he walked out. Well a few days would be Sunday which they are closed. She didn't get any better she actually got worse and her eye closed shut. I was so worried Saturday night we took her to the ER and the vet confirmed she had PARVO. When arriving She asked for symptoms we told her all of them we told her our cat was not fully vaccinated she knew right away it had to be Parvo. I was told that Parvo is extremely prevalent at the moment. We informed the ER vet that we have cats at home and she shared that they all have been exposed and she shared with me how to care for them . I have two cats that are not fully vaccinated so now we are worried we might lose them. As for my Luna she was admitted and she is receiving treatment we are praying it works because if not we will lose her. I can't imagine losing her and now completely worried about my other babies at home. The Richey vet knew of all the symptoms that I shared with the ER vet and didn't request any tests ...crazy huh? Or is he just lazy and neglectful. I will NEVER RECOMMEND this animal clinic the vet here is solely there for a pay check and has lost all passion in his practice. Prayers for my fur babies especially Little Luna

Cristina, we are truly sorry to hear that Luna has been so sick, and we hope she is responding well to the care she is now receiving. We understand how frightening it is when a pet’s condition worsens so quickly.

We would like to clarify what occurred during your visit. When Luna was examined on Thursday, she presented with a high fever but did not show clinical signs that typically indicate feline panleukopenia (also called “feline parvo”), such as vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and dehydration. Based on her symptoms at that time, the doctor treated her fever and infection supportively and specifically advised her to return on Friday or Saturday for further testing if she did not show improvement. You were also informed that the recheck exam fee would be waived so that we could reassess her at no additional cost.

Feline panleukopenia is a rapidly progressing viral disease, and unfortunately, unvaccinated cats are at very high risk of exposure in the community, especially during periods when cases are widespread. Symptoms can change dramatically within hours, which is why we emphasize vaccination and timely rechecks when improvement does not occur.

We genuinely care about Luna and all your pets, and we encourage you to contact us directly if you would like to review her medical record or discuss her care in more detail. Our goal is always to support pets and their families with clarity, compassion, and appropriate medical recommendations.

We are keeping Luna in our thoughts and hope she makes a full recovery.

Experiencia fantástica: We recently started going to Richey after a bad experience with our previous vet. We took our senior cat in for answers as to why he was so sick and couldn't stop vomiting. Dr. Sullivan and the staff at Richey were so kind and honest with us. Dr. Sullivan didn't sugar coat our cat's condition and was straight forward about potential outcomes for him. He didn't try to talk us into paying more for tests, possible treatments, etc. when he already knew how bad things were with our cat. We had to say goodbye to our cat but I feel like Dr. Sullivan and Richey helped us make an informed decision and didn't mislead us (unlike other vets i have been to). I trust them to be honest with me and I trust that they will prioritize my pet's health over making a profit.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Sullivan is probably the best, honest vet we’ve ever had. We moved to Dickinson about 5 years ago and tried a few vets in our area and just never really found someone who gives honest and cost efficient care, but at the same time, listened to our needs. We will continue to come back despite our 40+ minute commute for the awesome care he’s provided our pets for 10+ years now. Highly recommended!

Experiencia negativa: I waited some time before writing this review to ensure my pet’s passing did not cloud my judgment. I only had one minor issue with this clinic a few years prior to her final illness, which had been resolved. However, there are several concerns from those last weeks that I cannot let go of. While I understand the liability around giving medical advice over the phone, being told “It’s up to you to bring her in or not” may have cost my pet valuable time. I put my trust in their words, but in hindsight, that advice could have made the difference between a more peaceful passing and unnecessary suffering. During her final visit, the vet and tech appeared to operate on autopilot. The thermometer used was the slowest available, as they admitted themselves, and at one point the vet accidentally pressed the table’s foot pedal while it was inserted, causing my pet to yelp in pain . . . a sound I’ll never forget. When I asked whether her decline might be due to multi-system organ failure, I was told, “I don’t know what that means.” That response left me both shocked and deeply concerned about the level of training. I am not upset simply because my pet passed because she had been very ill for months, looking back. I am upset because the care here felt careless at critical moments. The one exception was the first veterinarian, who I believe genuinely cared. But assurances such as, “I can promise she won’t get worse,” turned out to be tragically misplaced. At the start, when she was visibly declining, the tech initially told me, “She looks fine, we’ll check again in a few months.” I had to insist they examine her cardiopulmonary and respiratory systems, and even then, it was only weeks before I had to rush her to an ER vet who immediately recognized what was happening.

Experiencia fantástica: Normally I would take my dog to his normal vet but because I needed an apt asap, somewhere closer and my sisters dog is a patient, I brought him here. He had an eye issue that needed to be looked at and Dr. Martha Mollett saw him and recommended an Ophthalmologist for what she thought was Horner’s syndrome. She quickly sent in a referral for one and it was confirmed that he does have it. I’m super thankful she informed and referred us to a great Ophthalmologist! The entire staff at the clinic was wonderful as well!

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT go here go to !!!!! Amigos Animal Clinic !!!! they are very affordable and tell you the truth they give you opinions on what you can do and afford and they tell you the outcome of picking the decision you make for your animals To make an extremely long store short terrible ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE I took 2 cats that stay in my area that I feed 1 they lost one of my cats for a week bc they didn't lock the cage right the lady told me 3 times that she did not know how to lock the cage properly and instead of asking me how she walked out with it 2 I LITERALLY HAVE PTSD FROM THEM LOSING MY CAT 3 when I got him back he was bleeding out his mouth, skinny, missing patches of fur, and STILL limping which was the reason why I took him 4 they gave my orange cat an anti-inflammatory for an OPEN wound AND TOLD ME TO TAKE HIM BACK IN 2 WEEKS I'm not sure if the anti-inflammatory had magical powers and was supposed to help him grow his skin back and stop the bleeding but it didn't do anything to the open wound 5 when I took the cat with an open wound to Amegos they told me he needed surgery 6 nothing Richey animal clinic did to my cats helped(besides the neutering) them they just took my $600 7 Out of the $600 I paid, they gave me $108 back—I'm assuming as an apology for losing my cat and returning him in worse condition. But they didn’t offer it on their own I had to call and ask for some of my money back. It didn’t feel like genuine accountability. ************ Reply to clinic's response: HEY Dr. Sullivan and the Richey Animal Clinic Team, First off I understand that mistakes happen. I gave y’all weeks to get back to me, but clearly, no one cared enough to follow up. The lack of accountability is honestly unbelievable. It wasn't the "rear." The lady told me three times after the fact. Like I mentioned before — she didn’t know how to lock the cage right. Not sure how y’all think that’s being “transparent,” considering I was literally right there and saw it happen. There was no follow-up appointment scheduled because, oh yeah the lady was already walking out with my black cat that she lost. Sorry, guys y’all gave an antibiotic for an OPEN wound that needs surgery. But hey, maybe the antibiotic was supposed to magically close an open wound? Who knows. No conversation was ever read back to me. But thanks for assuming. Not sure who you spoke to, but they were 100% aware because I had to be the one to tell them what shots were given, and I was also telling them about the terrible experiences I had with Y’ALL. Why would I want to “re-hear” a conversation I had? I was there. I know exactly what was said. Thanks though. NONE of my review was “untrue.” It’s MY review and MY TERRIBLE experience with y’all — which, clearly, you’re still not taking responsibility for. And just to top it off I had to spend my lunch breaks and time after work looking for the cat that y’all lost. But yeah, totally not your fault, right? Thank you so much. We take all feedback seriously, but your review includes claims that are untrue, so we feel compelled to address them publicly.
One of your cats escaped after we helped carry the cage to your car for you, as a courtesy. The cage was yours, and the rear of the cage came open. We only unloaded and loaded your cat from the front of the cage and we never touched the rear of the cage. We were transparent about what happened and worked with you to try to recover your pet.
Regarding your other cat, we provided appropriate treatment and scheduled a follow-up exam at no charge. We gave two injections including a long lasting antibiotic and we discussed the possible outcomes and if needed, what further treatments may be necessary. Your claim that we "did nothing" is simply untrue. Additionally, the medication prescribed was standard care, and we clearly discussed the care plan with you. We record all of our conversations and we even read the entire conversation back to you.
You also mentioned in a phone conversation with us that you took your second cat to another veterinarian and you said they made certain comments about our treatment. We’ve since spoken with that clinic, and they confirmed that they were unaware your pet had already been seen by us and they did not make the statements you claimed. They did not corroborate your version of events you told us. We record our phone conversations as well and would be willing to let your hear your conversation with us.
We issued a partial refund in good faith, not because we were in the wrong, but because we hoped it would help resolve the situation amicably.
It’s disappointing when untrue reviews attempt to harm the reputation of a team that works incredibly hard to do right by every pet and client.
PS: We wish you the best for you and your pets. We have forwarded your pet's history to your new clinic.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would , have brought my animals here for a while never had a issue up until Friday when my puppy got into poison & they were more concerned about a meeting they were about to have , sent me off with seizure medicine by the time I made it back a second time my puppy was deceased all they could say it’s sorry when I clearly stated the issue , doctor was trying to say my pup could be epileptic Completely disregarded what I had told him Will be changing my others animals to a different vet office

Experiencia fantástica: They took care of my cats neuter and cyst on his shoulder. He hasn't layed on his right side in a few months now, and was doing so the day he came back from surgery. The doctor is very kind and generous and quick. He also took care of my blue heelers mange problem on the first visit. Experiencia fantástica: After our recent relocation to Houston, I am so thankful to have found Dr. Sullivan and the team at Richey Animal Clinic. I searched far and wide for a veterinarian for my two Shih Tzu puppies ( both of whom suffer allergies) who would take good care of my pets without charging an arm and a leg. I especially wanted to find a vet clinic that would not pressure by upselling unnecessary services, testing, procedures or force pharmaceuticals that aren't entirely necessary because I have experienced this type of coercion at other vet clinics more often than I can count. Dr. Sullivan and his team provide excellent healthcare, genuine kindness and concern for the animals at reasonable prices. I could have chosen any number of vet clinics located closer to my home in Montrose, but the people and service provided at Richey Animal Clinic are worth the drive. Experiencia fantástica: I rescued this little sweetheart from a very abusive home on Oct 5th, 2024. She only weighed 44lbs and at her age (11 months) and her breed(malamute) she should have been 70lbs. But long story short, the entire staff at Richey Animal Clinic were all so very nice and efficient. I have nothing but good things to say about Richey Animal Clinic. And on a side note: after only 3 weeks with me, my little Phoenix is already up to 58.5 lbs.

Experiencia negativa: I have been coming to Richey Animal Clinic for years for all my dogs. Friday we brought our youngest to be fixed. He became very lethargic on Sunday. We rushed him to an emergency vet clinic but he passed upon our arrival. Richey has no type of emergency contact number listed. I called today to let them know what happened and were only told "sorry". No offer to speak to the doctor or any type of compassion. Just an emotionless sorry. I am beyond heartbroken as my dogs are my babies and I would at least expect a conversation with someone or a run down of knowing he was in good health when they released him from surgery. I will not ever return to this clinic. My heart is shattered.

Experiencia fantástica: All the doctors here are super knowledgeable and the prices are very affordable. I rescued a stray and was able to get her chip checked, vaccinated, and flea treated super quickly and the appointment was made within the same week. She unfortunately had heartworms but the staff was all so knowledgeable and really made me feel like I was getting the best service and they truly care. Thank you Richey Animal Clinic!! Brisket is now living her best life with her new family in Atlanta!

Experiencia fantástica: Such a hard day for my family today. We found out our dog had a tumor & we were advised to euthanize her due to her age. She had been to Rickey animal clinic before so I called & immediately started crying talking to the receptionist. She went over pricing & we scheduled an appointment. When we got there they took us back, & gave us our time with our girl, and let us know to take our time. Dr. Sullivan was extremely professional & talked us through everything. The receptionist gave me a hug & it honestly was just what I needed. We said our last goodbyes to our girl & they all said sorry to us while we left. It wasn’t the best day, nor was it a fun time there but they made us feel at ease.

Experiencia fantástica: We had to put our baby kitty down today. As difficult of a day as it was, the staff made the experience a little easier. The receptionist saw me crying as I was waiting, she came and brought me tissue & hugged me. The assistant brought my baby a blanket so she could be comfortable and brought me more tissues. The vet was just as amazing. As a RN who works in inpatient care, I truly appreciated the great deal of compassion my baby and I received from everyone in the office. Thank you all so much!

Experiencia negativa: DONT TRUST THIS VET. Ink went in for a simple surgery for his bladder. And, died two days later because they didn't do it right. They lied and said he was good to go home and his bladder erupted. He spent his last days suffering. He was truly loved, and will be deeply missed. What this vet did is truly heartbreaking especially to INKS PARENTS. No animal deserves to be neglected like this, by a VET!

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been taking my Dogs and litters to get checked to this location . Today I had a very bad experience!!!! Took 2 hours and at the end they didn’t know what to charge me, they had to charge me twice just because dumb mistake . The guy at the reception just laughed and giggled… so unprofessional. Couldn’t even waive the $20 dollars after coming for so long . Very disappointed!!

Experiencia fantástica: My family has trusted and brought our pets to Richey Animal Clinic since I was a young child! Now, as an adult I continue to bring my own babies! The staff are very friendly and informative! I appreciate them and their efforts to keep the animals they care for safe and comfortable! Recently I was attempting to help a friend that was somewhat strapped for cash. I referred her to Richey Animal Clinic and with the help of Becky, one of the wonderful ladies in the front office, we were able to get her pup seen that day & at a good price! We are very grateful and thankful to the staff at RAC! I recommend them, and as I stated before they are basically the only vet in this area I trust/have gone to for my entire life! Experiencia negativa: Waiting room incredibly loud to the point of stressing out pets due to tv and people shouting over tv. The front desk techs also had to shout to people checking out because they wouldn't enforce a no loud conversation policy. It should not have to be asked for things to be put at a proper sound level - professionals should and do know that sound levels for animals should be kept at a certain level and be proactive in keeping it that way. It is not up to the customers to remind the professionals that they need to lower volume or tell other customers they're being too loud - especially when it's so busy you can't get a word in. Vet manhandled my (already stressed) cat to the point of biting - which has never happened at any other veterinarian office I've visited. Vet had attitude toward techs and myself. When I mentioned he had swallowed something a week prior, vet continued to ask "well how did you know? Are you sure? It sounds like a coughing fit. How do you even know he swallowed something?" simply because I didnt see what he swallowed. This was not even the reason I came in, I came in because my cat was dealing with a digestive issue. I am aware that vets need to manipulate/palpate to see what issues are going on, and must stick things inside that aren't pleasant experiences for the cat - but the rushed manhandling and jabbing stressed my cat out to where he lashed out. I'm assuming the rushed experience was due to it being busy, but that's not really an excuse. I can only imagine how my cat was treated when taken back where I couldn't see him. Will only come here again if it the only option.

Experiencia fantástica: AMAZING service!! Had a pregnant Frenchbull dog and called around the entirety of Houston before finally finding a place that ended up being even lower than my budget!! Very good prices and amazing service they helped delivered 5 healthy fat pups naturally!! The doctor told us where be able to do it naturally but on the day of labor we thought she was taking too long to show us a puppy and for safety precautions took her here only for Dr. Sullivan to have the magic touch on getting her stuck baby out the canal and helping her to have her babies naturally! So not only was the surgery super affordable but with their expertise and care I didnt even end up needing the c section! They put our pets first as they seem to genuinely know they are our family.

Experiencia negativa: Where do I even begin lol. Terrible parking, I had to wait for someone to exit the parking lot, just to be able to turn around enough to get out. I can't imagine how someone could safely park in the miniature parking lot, without a back up camera on their vehicle. Loud no matter where you are at in the clinic. You can hear all the traffic from the street, which is frightening to the pet, as the door wasn't closing correctly, which was the first thing I noticed as I arrived. TV blasting in the waiting room with gun shots and monkeys screaming in the movie, scaring my cat. Dirty pet scale and examination table full of fur, and drops of either urine or slobber on it as well... Burning up in the waiting room and checkup room, drenched in sweat. The techs were playing around in the back room, and I could hear my female tech saying jokingly, "I have ringworms." Prices were not the cheapest nor outrageous, it was somewhere in between. I took my cat for a checkup and shots, she was scrambling to get away from the doctor and the tech, trying to get back into her carrier. All the other clinics she had ever been to, she was chilling laying down on the examination tables because she was so comfortable with the doctors and techs lol. The doctor was in the room literally for around 2 minutes and said she was good, "have a nice day" and walked out. Looked at her eyes, ears, mouth, butt and that was it lol, didn't even pull out the stethoscope. $68 for 2 minutes, but to be honest it's pretty much the going rate nowadays for a check up. The difference at other places though, is the time they took to do a THOROUGH examination. Don't have any type of opinion about the staff in the reception area, it was okay though because I only interacted with them twice, the lady signed me in herself when I arrived for my appointment, and then at the end when I received the receipt. Yes, I have lived in Pasadena almost my entire life, and have been to most of the clinics in town, meeting the various veterinarians and techs. First and last visit there, can't find one reason to justify ever going back. Especially the condescending, immature attitude in commentary towards the customers negative Google reviews, shows me all that I need to see to know that I would never go back to, or recommend this place to anyone. I notice all the horrendous responses from the owner, absolutely deserves one star. By the way, no, I am not some disgruntled or irate former employee. Not very professional to assume and accuse people of being former employees because they had a negative experience, or even going through the trouble to look up the names to see if they were actually serviced at your clinic? I noticed that you seem to think that every single negative experience posted was somehow the fault of the customers themselves? If I were a business owner, I would want to be on the same page with my customers as to make improvements to my business, rather than further distance and deviate away from them with argumentative responses. This isn't some attempt to smear the clinic reputation, but facts. Simply a pet loving customer here, raised with pets since childhood, and a customer who has the right to express my bad experience at this particular clinic.

There is so much to unpack. First, I apologize about the parking. Pasadena widened Richey Street and took away an entire row of my parking and I had not control over that. Our door automatically closes so I am confused by your claim. Nearly every client, if they have an issue, address me or my staff face to face without running to social media and we can resolve the problem immediately. Hey doc, it is too warm. I am sorry, let me adjust the temperature. Hey doc, the tv is too loud. Sorry, I will lower it for you. We do an excellent job of cleaning and I welcome any tour at anytime to see how clean our facility is. If a dog urinates and we do not see it, simply notify us and we immediately clean it. I make it a habit of describing everything I am examining on your pet so you know I gave a thorough exam and I know for a fact it was more then "eyes, ear, mouth and butt". I will simply let my good reviews and my clients speak on my behalf. I, for the most part, have wonderful clients. I will discuss with my techs about keeping their voices down but I encourage them to enjoy work because this is a highly stressful business. For the most part, we all enjoy our job. Obviously we are not the clinic for you so we wish you well.

Experiencia fantástica: What I Like About You Animal Clinic is my vet who goes to a different Animal Clinic that owns it people started getting away from there because of the person that works there and it's a good thing that he comes over to the Richie Animal Clinic where I can see him and how much heated as he has done for close to about the last eight years. I don't ever want to have to try to find another Vet Doctor some of them is the tops there is none better than between me I've been out there I've tried them I've searched for them they don't get better than nothing and with my extensive knowledge and medicine and background in medicine former firefighter P1 medic come from a medical background and then with wild animals and domestic since I was being hidal grasshopper. I will more and took care of some more wild animals and I have domesticated animals where I grew up. I have some of the strangest pets but that's okay. And I learned along the ways my all the animals that I can get in bed about different things and with the medical background knowing what you want what to look for and everything else. They are very nice over yet Richie Animal Clinic stay tuned good slow but the girls at work there are just :-(. Craig professional work with you all the way. And their prices are cheaper. Dr Sullivan's bedside manners the sense of humor and everything it's just this is old school type veterinarian that you always wish you that you always wish you had. Something around the Pasadena Texas area they're up on Ritchie Highway Richey Animal Clinic give them a call take your animals there set it up with Dr Sullivan and I promise you you will not be disappointed

Experiencia fantástica: I brought in my mother’s dog, Lucky, for an exam. Dr. Schmidt was our vet and we were very pleased with how informative he was. I learned more from Dr. Schmidt than I did from the previous vet Lucky visited. Lucky has a perineal hernia, which was not explained by the previous vet. The previous vet only told me that he had an enlarged prostate and just needed to be neutered and the big lump would go away. Thanks to Dr. Schmidt, I understand Lucky’s situation is much more complicated than that. To make matters worse, Lucky is heart-worm positive. I’m very sad that my mom let it get to this stage but I will try my best to help Lucky. I’m very grateful for Richey Animal Clinic and that they explain very well, are friendly, compassionate, and transparent about pricing.

Experiencia negativa: Dr sullivan refused to change the cast on our puppy when it was clear he had an infection. He didn't even check it, even when we were willing to pay for more xrays and a new cast. He insisted we waited another week. We had to take our puppy to an ER where they told us had we waited one more day we could have lost his leg because of the infection and his broken bones were already healed. Never coming here again. They commented on my review saying they talked to the ER dr! Who??? Who did you talk if you dont know where I took my puppy. LIES!!!! Everyone could smell the infection and even the tech wrote it on the records that she was thinking dr was going to remove cast.

I spoke to the ER doctor and that is not what she told me. She said it had an infection but everything else was fine. I looked at the cast and it was not slipping, was not rubbing, and I did not notice any smell. I try to do what is best for my patients and their owner. I could have taken your money and performed the radiograph and if the bone had not healed, take your money again a week later and repeat the radiograph. I used my best judgement and instead of wasting your money, wait for the fourth week which is the earliest I like to remove cast. I will admit when I make a mistake and I guess I should have risked wasting your money. Had I really felt there was an infection or had you made clear you wanted the radiograph then I would have definitely taken it. I would never refuse to take a radiograph. Once again I apologize and I am glad your puppy is doing well.

Experiencia fantástica: My dogs mastitis ruptured and in 5 days I was going all over Houston looking for somewhere affordable and that took very great care of their patients as if they were their own pets. …and well I found the perfect place !! This was my first time here and they were just what I was looking for. The ladies in the front were very welcoming and helpful, the vet tech was nice and good to my dog and the doctor was nice, explained everything to me & answered all the questions I had. This place helped my dog feel so much better and she is already getting back to her normal happy self after a few hrs after picking her up from surgery. Experiencia fantástica: My dog Leo visited Richey for bump on his back, and dew paw issue. Tech Virginia and Dr. Sullivan were amazing, as Leo was held, and did not move. Usually he goes crazy, I had told them, but to my amazement he was calm. I told both of them they were dog whispers. Appreciate their professional handling of Leo. EXCELLENT SERVICE.

Experiencia fantástica: Great Services. Personable staff, understanding and reasonable. I will continue to go here just for the staff characters. The communication is straight forward, No running around for testing and opinions. They make the animal care a priority over the appearance of their clinic. I see great benefits in that aspect, I hope the staff continues on good spirits in this line of work. Experiencia fantástica: Great Vet. The whole office staff are very friendly and caring. They have great prices. I had taken my dog to another vet 4 times and they could never tell me what was going on. The first visit with Richey they told me the problem with my dog and we talked about options. Sadly for me I had to put him to sleep and the office and vet really worked with me and made it as painless as they could. The will be my next vet when I am ready

Experiencia fantástica: We found Richey Animal Clinic after having to research different vets in the area to unfortunately put our dog down. Our previous vet was charging an insane amount and her bedside manners aren’t the best. Richey Animal Clinic is clean and the staff is very nice. They gave us time with our dog before, during and after. We felt very comfortable and the vet was understanding of our situation as well. We went with another company to pick up our dog for the cremation services and although they were late to pick up our dog, Richey Animal Clinic never gave us a hard time about it. We will definitely recommend this office to others!

Experiencia fantástica: This was my dog's vet all the way until his passing. They sent a very nice letter with a his paw print after we had to put him down. They have given the best care to my cats and always looked for the best options, payment wise and health wise. Richey Animal Clinic is very affordable and understanding. Experiencia positiva: I took my kitten in for vaccines 3 weeks ago and paid for the visit the vaccines including rabies and deporting I paid more than I was expecting, and Then Dr Sullivan said I would have to return in 3 weeks for another rabies shot and said I would just be charged for the shot not a wellness visit, so today when I went and got her second rabies shot and I paid I asked why I was charged so much for the shot the lady that always sits up front said that it was 2 shots in one Then when I looked at the recipt I saw I was charged for the wellness check when I told the lady at the window that Dr Sullivan said I wouldn't be charged for the visit just the shot the lady that sits in the back desk interjected and said in a bad tone Dr Sullivan is not here!! And I was left there with no help, this is the pet clinic I have been going to for many years and every time Dr Sullivan says something it's good as gold but today I left very upset it's not so much the money but the attitude that lady had was totally wrong!! I will have to look for another clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: Our beloved 5mo. old pet was very, very ill with what we were told was a “blocked intestine.” We were referred to Richey Animal Clinic/Hospital with an “emergency status” Richey Animal Hospital was a Godsend from the first second of a nightmarish 24hrs. Dr. Sullivan found and corn-dog stick totally intact trapped in our pup’s stomach. They walked us through every moment of before, during, and post surgery with grace and kindness. Dr. Sullivan and his staff were angels! I cannot say enough good things about this animal clinic. I look forward to working with them for years to come to keep our dogs healthy.

Experiencia fantástica: Virginia had some much information for us about German shepherds. We recently got a puppy and we have so much to learn about this breed. We want to be great parents to our German Shepherd. We had a rat terrier for 14 and 1/2 years, unfortunately we had to put him down 3 years ago. this is the clinic he went to for all his needs and we were extremely satisfied. Even on the day we said our goodbyes to our rat terrier, they provide that service and they were very professional. We have his ashes in our living room. So definitely taking our new puppy we didn't think twice about bringing her to this clinic.

Experiencia positiva: Staff is wonderful. Saw a new to us doctor. Even though we were there for routine treatment, after giving my pet time to check HIM out, he checked my baby head to toe; had a very calm demeanor and never made me feel rushed although this place is ALWAYS busy. Cons: because they are so busy, parking is an issue. BUT if you are not comfortable coming in, staff will come out to you and bring your pet in or call you when s room is ready for you to go directly to. Also, don't expect same day appointments unless it is an emergency

Experiencia fantástica: Well I’m so glad I found this awesome veterinarian! Thanks to the advice from Next Door. My poor dog Julie has been suffering with terrible skin issues and scratching herself for over a year I’ve taken her to other vet’s but no one has solved it Until Now! I took Julie yesterday Thursday and after few shots and changing her food and bathing her with special shampoo—she stopped scratching that day!!! No more putting on her collar and she has completely stopped scratching and itching. And the cost was under $140 I’m so thankful for Dr Sullivan Richey Animal clinic he is the best!!! Thanks so much ❤️

Experiencia negativa: 6.10.23 Every time I walk in, they can't find my information, they ask - what's the clients name?..... Nothing comes up What's your name?..... Nothing comes up What's the last 4 of your phone number?....... Nothing then I have to explain again, that he is under my account and my dog has been there before and got his shots and flea meds... The Lady asking all these questions gets irritated at me because she can't find the info and she says, "I have to go back and forth to different screens to find your info!". And that's my problem because? Usssshhhh! . She needs customer TRAINING Soon.

We are so sorry you had a bad experience. I am surprised since we have so many great reviews saying how wonderful our receptionist are. Even so, I will try to find out why we are having difficulty with your record. Unfortunately, I even hate to mention it, but I cannot find a Grace Grator. Sometimes the records are in the spouses name, or the parents name, you have not been to our clinic in years so your record has been marked inactive or we may have even mispelled the name. Accidents do happen and we want to make sure we have the right animal on the right record. If you will please call us and ask to speak to the manager, we will work to correct the matter and prevent this from happening again.
*Edit* Actually I believe I found your record under a different last name and we had not seen you since 2011 and your record was marked inactive. Even so, we created a new record for you on your last visit and we thought we had resolved the matter. If we did not resolve the matter to your satisfaction, please call us and tell what we still need to do to resolve the matter.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently took my cat after a long time of not taking her to the vet. I was a bit scared of the prices or how my cat would react, but everything went very smoothly and better than expected. The prices are very affordable, everyone working there was amazing and they took care of my cat very quickly for it being a walk-in appointment. When they returned my cat to me, she seemed very calm. I would definitely recommend it for your furry friend

Experiencia positiva: The WAIT was horrendous; more than 2 hours! They had given us a 1:30 appointment but when we arrived they said we were going to be considered as a walk-inn and that they had SIX walk-ins ahead of us, plus the regular appointments!!! There was only one VERY GOOD DOCTOR but they overbook their hours too much! Prices are reasonable for vet services.

First of all we are very sorry for the wait. We are usually very busy but Monday was insanely busy. You called at 8:15 and we told you that we could work you in before 10:30 which is when I start my surgeries but you could not make it. We had no appointments available in the afternoon (this included appointment times we reserve for emergencies) but if you arrive at 1:30 we would work you in. Sorry if there was some miscommunications but we see true emergencies first, then appointments and then work ins. That morning we had emergencies show up all morning and I worked through my lunch and I believe my technicians and I had less then 20 minutes to eat our meals. While I was eating lunch, we had 4 more walkins arrive before you showed up at 1:36. My employees should have told you there would be at least an hour wait and if they did not, I apologize. We saw the workins in order in between appointments. Long story short, this is not an excuse but an explanation and thank goodness it happens rarely but unfortunately, it does happen. We do a good job of scheduling appropriately but that particular Monday we had more sick animals and no amount of scheduling could have planned for. Once again I apologize.
