Experiencia fantástica: I hate fake reviews.. you will go on a page and notice that a review was bought or bland… nonetheless, this vet was the best vet I’ve ever been at in the 7 years of owning a pet. When I say every single vet I’ve ever been to was just trying to rip you out of some money, or not tackle the main issue for the dog.. this one was totally different. I couldn’t make it to the vet because I was at work so I had my mom take my dog. The vet sat on the phone with me for 15 minutes explaining every issue and possible outcome. She sounded very professional and gave me many options. You could tell it wasn’t a cash grab. I took my dog there because he was limping and because of dry itchy skin. They were so helpful and cost effective. I took my boy in there thinking I’m going to spend 7-800$. I came out spending 300 dollars and a bag full of medication. God bless this place. And I will never in my life take my dog anywhere else. Even if I move out of state, I would still find a way to come to this vet. It really means a lot when you take your dog somewhere and they actually care. Thank you for being different

The exam rooms are spacious and clean. The assistant and Dr. was very diligent with my fur baby and myself. I will continue to use MVC as my fur family Vet clinic moving forward and I'd definitely recommend them to family and friends for their own fur babies

Experiencia fantástica: 1000% would recommend this amazing vet clinic. The staff is kind and compassionate especially when you are going through a hard time. Dr. Wilson is amazing with animals and so thoughtful - he’s called multiple times to check up on our cat following his recent visit and you can tell he really cares about the animals. While care is always expensive - we’ve had lots of experiences with different vets where they try to sell you on every possible thing and make as much money as possible. This vet is not one of them - they only do what’s absolutely necessary for your pet and make sure you know exactly what their recommendations are with other smaller things. They understand that the cost of care can add up quickly and they are amazing to work with you and provide detailed treatment plans outlining the best options for your baby that you can afford. Huge thank you to Metro Vet Clinic, I don’t think we will ever go anywhere else with our babies. Thanks for helping our 15 1/2 year old Jasper boy have the best possible chance at a long, healthy, and happy life. ❤️

Experiencia negativa: We've been customers of Macomb Veterinary Center since they combined with Macomb Veterinary Associates and always received great care. However, since moving to the new location, their pricing practices have become predatory. Requiring a physical exam (and associated fee) with every visit to the office, regardless of reason is unacceptable. We had multiple visits where all we needed were a fecal check, or bloodwork, etc, all things that were discussed / suggested in prior visits (some only a couple weeks apart). To charge for a physical exam after seeing the pet very recently, just because they walked through the door, is mind boggling. The follow up dental cleaning / surgery / medications all would more than offset not charging that fee. 5 star care but horrible pricing practices.

Experiencia positiva: I took my lil chihuahua up to them cuz she was sick and everybody was very nice to me and salina they gave her 2 shots and I brought her home and she seemed to get better but by morning she was throwing up again she kept throwing up so I called back up there and seeing I had no money left cuz im on disability from my cancer and they turned me away cuz I had no more money to help my lil girl and she died the 2 days later

The receptionist, tech, and doctor were all very patient, friendly and listened to my concerns. Got an appointment right away and was in and out in less than an hour. Experiencia negativa: *UPDATE BELOW* Very nice staff. Are not afraid to answer any questions, or give explanations when needed. I feel like it was definitely a good first visit with my two kittens! *UPDATE!* Absolutely do not recommended.. They seemed to be nice people for the most part, but I think they charged entirely way too much. Everybody else I talked to believes so too. The only reason I put a vague, good review in the first place was because they have a sign on the wall saying if you leave a review then they will give you $10 off your visit(which I forgot to ask for). With that being said let’s get into it. I brought my two kittens that I had just adopted. They gave them a checkup, the rest of their vaccinations, and an anti-inflammatory for one of my kittens. My little boy had a lump on his rear hip I had asked them about. The veterinarian said it could be feline injection-site sarcoma. “Not to scare you or anything, but to make sure you are aware” they said. They told me to monitor the bump over the next 3 weeks, and if it grows at all bring him in IMMEDIATELY. Then they would perform a biopsy and maybe surgery if needed. Long story short they made me freak out. I was going to take him in to get the biopsy until I realized that alone was almost $500!! What!? So I called the shelter I adopted from instead. Their veterinary clinic told me that is where they give the rabies shots and bumps happen all the time(IT’S COMMON), because the body is reacting to the vaccine. Nothing to worry about, but monitor it for the next month. If it gets worse we will then schedule an appointment and they will cover it 100%! Didn’t end up having to take him because it’s been going away on its own.. Crazy huh? That’s not the only part that’s crazy though. When two other veterinarians came in to give my kittens shots, they didn’t even say “Hello”. They didn’t introduce themselves. They didn’t explain what they were going to do. They didn’t give eye contact. They didn’t make sure they were in the right room. Shoot, they didn’t even make sure they have the right cats! They just came in grabbed one and put them on the table. They got everything prepped to give the shot, then they heard us say her name, and that’s when they finally confirmed the name of the kitten. If we didn’t say her name would they have even said anything…? After it was all done the slipped out the door and that was it. Now one good thing I can say is the front desk does have a really good contact record. They reached out over and over again, even after we never answered. That however is not enough to get me to come back. With all that being said, I think these people are really nice, for the most part, but after a buck at the end of the day. The one lady even tried justifying it by saying “It’s even expensive for us that are in the field.” Might be true, I don’t know.. oh well. Needless to say I’m going to just use non-profits for now on. Why? Because it seems they actually care about the animals, not money. *ONE FINAL UPDATE* This I’ll start with one compliment. Their availability is definitely really good. They can give a same day appointment if really needed. I ended up finding another vet that would do a same day appointment though. The other vet I went to was cheaper. Actually a lot cheaper… like $32 cheaper for just the exam, cheaper. Once I presented the paperwork I got from my visit at Metropolitan Veterinary Center the lady was in shock due to the price I had paid. Obviously that provoked me to ask more questions. I asked about fleas, heart worms, stool checks, shots etc. The answers were vastly different, so were the prices too. Biggest one being $45 cheaper for a stool check. The new veterinarian office I went to is a non-profit, or at least works with them. Needless to say it backs my point even more… these people are after money. My last example to prove my point is this.. They changed their exam price from $64.50 at the end of August to $87 currently.

My one guy is incredibly spicy, but they still take the time to treat him with care and respect, which can't always be said of other vets.

Thankfully the team here (every one of them!) was so kind, understanding and invested in our little guy. I could tell by every pet and owner that came in that this is just how they are, all of the time. We called this morning, the day after Thanksgiving, and they found a way to get our little Vito in before we had to make a long drive out of state tomorrow. They were so loving to him, thorough, experienced and just awesome human beings. If we lived locally, THIS would be our vet! I can’t wait to tell others we know about these great folks! Experiencia negativa: They poisoned my cat from the first visit because they gave him overdose of prednisone and gabapentin that made my cat unable to breath and consistently panting heavily like a dog and drooling and unable to sleep and unable to rest that started from the third day ( and I searched what the prednisone do to the dogs and cats and how fatal it is and it’s side effects, and it makes the owners rush to the emergency for their precious pet) that they told me that they are for pain management and anxiety, and that will make him eat again so I was happy because I went to them for the reason he wasn’t eating well. They show my cat and me the worst days. I refused to pay for the second opinion from the first visit and paid 850 on the first visit for my cat that I wanted to heal not to die, and to have the best days not the worst with excessive thirst and unable to breath and unable to sleep at all and unable to rest that hurts me so much.

Experiencia negativa: Yes the facility is up to date and the vet was very kind. Unfortunately the prices are absolutely unreasonable. I got quoted almost $1,800 for a dental cleaning and extraction. I took him to another vet with great reviews and the same service was $400-$800.

Don’t care if your dog is sick or not very unfriendly very unfriendly. The vet tech was extremely cold thank God my dog’s not dying or dead because I couldn’t imagine having any kind of empathy in that place Highway robbery let’s talk about that $400 for an x-ray 350 bucks to have my dog blood drawn. Do not go here. They are all for money. They need to rename it. ALL ABOUT MONEY AND SOMWTIMES ANIMALS
