This office has been our go to starting from when my husband had his childhood lab to us now bringing our lab. Dr. Nowakowski treats our Sammy as if he’s her own and that is something that is very near and dear to us. I think everyone can agree with me when I say that our pets are not only our pets they are our entire world and they deserve to be treated with love and care and that what they provide. She is always very patient with us and especially me lol. She always takes her time and answers all of our questions. Thank you again to Dr. Nowakowski and staff for making today not seem so bad for Sammy

Experiencia negativa: I was charged $399 for an exam, two cultures, and a urinalysis, only to be told my dog had ear and skin infections—yet they didn’t clean her ears. They billed me $82 for antibiotics that are significantly cheaper at local pharmacies. They used to provide written prescriptions so I could buy meds elsewhere. Recently they’ve stopped sending prescriptions to Chewy. Shop around their prices feel inflated. Watch your wallet.

Experiencia negativa: Had to take my 2 chihuahuas for a check up scheduled for 10 and 11 in the morning. Was 15 minutes late and showed up by 10:15 am and was denied service for both dogs! I have been a client for the past 8 years. The absolute disrespect by the staff is unacceptable. I am never coming back. Others be warned!

Experiencia fantástica: I had to switch vets due to a move and Parkview has been my go to now for three of our dogs. We have experienced everything from surgery to regular visits and that always dreaded heartbreaking trip over the rainbow for one of our senior girls. The staff are all really caring and professional. I have felt like not only do they know what it's like to be the pet parent but also go out of their way to help my dogs feel a little less nervous and more comfortable while they are in their care.

Experiencia negativa: Took my cat because he didn't eat anything for 4 days and they couldn't treat him. Worse, they injured one of his frot leg. He can't even walk because of the pain. I brought him home with no treatment and an injured leg.

Experiencia fantástica: Edit 5/2/24: I still love this place, but I wish they would study more about fear free visits and using treats/food during procedures. I always bring my own treats, but most people don’t understand the importance of building positive associations. I’ve been coming here for maybe 20 years. I always have a positive experience. The receptionists are very helpful, the techs explain everything very well. Dr. Ohseki always takes time to love & pet my dogs. Yesterday I had Dr. Wiggans for the first time. She was lovely and friendly. Both doctors explain things and make sure to ask if I have any questions. The prices here are very fair.

I arrived an hour early for my appointment because I knew something was very wrong with my dog. The moment I walked through the door, the team at Parkview didn’t hesitate her veterinarian came out immediately, checked her condition, and within seconds called for a gurney and an ultrasound machine. They were able to assess her quickly, communicate clearly, and explain the situation in a calm, logical way when I could barely think straight. Their fast action and clear communication quite literally set everything in motion that ended up saving her life. They didn’t rush me, didn’t dismiss my fear, and didn’t waste a single moment. They walked me through the options, helped me understand what was happening, and made sure I was connected immediately with the emergency team at AEC. I will forever be grateful for the care, professionalism, and compassion they showed us in those first critical minutes. Parkview isn’t just a great veterinary hospital they’re the kind of place you want on your side when the unthinkable happens. They were there for us when it mattered most, and I can’t thank them enough.

Experiencia fantástica: This review is long overdue. They have been my go to vet for many years. I cant say enough good things about the staff. Dr wilboun was the first vet to see my pup who had health issues due to bad breeding. Honey went on to live 11 1/2 years. Towards the end of my Honeys life, Dr wilboun would be the last vet who worked tireless with me to give my dog all of the comforts medically possibly and she also gave me the encouragement i needed during the rollercoast of cancer that seemed to spring up out of nowhere. The staff that answered phones took everyone of my calls for advice as things were shifting and they were always kind to me. I can't thank you all enough for being so kind to me and always with my pets. I cant thank you all enough.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone was polite. I have been to numerous vet clinics trying find a reasonable price for a large mass removal for my dog. One place told me minimum 3k for surgery. Another vet told between 1600 and 2600. After I already a cytology sample done they said I still have to send it in for biopsy. Which didn't make sense because they found no cancer cells in it. Parkview Aninal Hospital gave me a lower quote. Her surgery was yesterday. I told them a concern was her anxiety with cages. Back when she got fixed I had to go get her because she wouldn't relax. I told them about this and they first tried the cage but she was showing anxiety, so they ended up putting her a room. That was an A+ move! She still got the care that is needed after anesthesia/surgery. All visits have been lower than my previous vet too. My mother in-law uses them too. She loves them.

Experiencia fantástica: Our sweet 8 y/o dog suddenly started reverse sneezing and coughing like crazy, and we were very concerned. We recently moved to the area and needed a vet closer to our new home. Even though we were new patients, they got us in same morning I called, entire staff was wonderful with him, they were very thorough but also honest about which tests did/did not make sense, and treated him for kennel cough. He is doing so much better and they have called twice to check on him, including a call from Dr. Purdy next day to review results. I can’t say enough great things about them, and so glad we found our new vet!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Wilborn has been my dogs’ veterinarian for many, many years, and I cannot recommend her enough. She has cared for my dogs from puppyhood all the way to helping them cross the rainbow bridge, and now as I start over with new pups. She is incredibly kind, patient, and truly cares about every animal she sees. Dr. Wilborn explains everything thoroughly, always does what’s best for your pet, and provides clear pricing information without ever trying to push unnecessary services. In my 35 years of owning dogs, she is by far the best veterinarian I have ever had the privilege of working with.

Experiencia positiva: Dr Wiggans was super nice and empathetic! I unfortunately removed two stars though because we had to wait about 15-20 minutes after our scheduled appointment time to be seen, which is a long time especially when you have an anxious pet, and then the exam itself took only about 5 minutes. Due to the shortness of the exam (with two vaccines), paying $140 felt excessive. I thought it would include more for that price and be a bit more thorough.

I’m completely understanding as I brought two special-needs kids in with me along with a sick dog. They were very understanding with the children and even more understanding with my animal…. The ladies here and the doctors in the back absolutely care and their prices are reasonable and they really do try their best…! They were able to get my dog in the very next day since I called, kind of late the day prior and were able to get x-rays in and finally gotten an answer so I knew the next best step to take care of my pups health!! She was not the easiest dog to care for.. she definitely had some high anxiety (along with me). Parkview always accommodated us. My girl passed away from hemangiosarcoma a few days ago. During this time, I think I must have called Parkview multiple times on what I should do regarding taking her to the ER vet. They never once got mad at me. When they heard I was emotional, they offered support. I cannot thank you enough for the excellent care that was provided to Niala (Nala) the past few years. I always knew she was in great hands. Experiencia fantástica: My 17 yr old cat was suffering and dying - I knew the time had come to let him go. My regular vet was not available and a friend suggested Parkview. I have never experienced such care, compassion and kindness - when I called, having never been there before, they got me in immediately, treated me like family and were all so gentle and kind thru the entire experience. My Bubba had always been a source of peace and calm for me; when I was anxious or upset, it was as if his inner peace transferred to me. I was crying so much but the moment he passed I felt that calm and peace instantly and knew I had done the right thing. He was at peace. I cannot say enough about the wonderful doctor and staff - the whole thing was handled with dignity, understanding and respect for me and my kitty.

Experiencia fantástica: I have gone to Parkview Animal Hospital a few times now, and I will happily continue to do so in the future. Dr. Nowakowski is an absolute rockstar! She is very kind, compassionate, and friendly and I trust that she is a competent and well-educated vetrenaian that will do her very best to help my kitties with anything they may need. The receptionists and vet techs are all friendly and easy to work with. Scheduling is usually fairly painless over the phone and they can often get you in sooner than when scheduling with the online form. Finally, I feel their services are fairly priced when compared to other veterinary hospitals I have used in the past.

Experiencia fantástica: I had feared that my dog was seriously ill after noticing a sudden change in his behavior. I called Parkview 25 mins before they had closed and the receptionist scheduled my dog for an appointment the following morning despite us never having been to the clinic before. On arrival, the hospital was extremely clean and everyone was very welcoming. After blood tests and an ultrasound, my dog was found to have anemia due to hemorrhaging into his abdomen, and he was ultimately diagnosed with metastatic splenic cancer. Dr. Kenji Ohseki was gentle in breaking the news to me, offering his honest recommendation for humane euthanasia. This was one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make. Even though my dog and I had come to the clinic alone, Dr. Ohseki and the staff made me feel very supported. One of the women working at the front desk even seemed to be grieving with me. I cannot thank them enough for the care and compassion that they provided us—all at a reasonable, affordable cost. Prior to leaving, the staff gifted me a complimentary paw print keepsake to remember fur baby by. I cannot recommend this vet enough.

What I really appreciate is how they patiently listens to all the lousy of complications my dog has with her recent illness and they never rushed me. They took great care of my fur baby.

Their prices aren’t too bad as well and they break down everything they charge you for, they’re not like other vets where they’re really pushy about unnecessary treatments, they don’t try to take advantage of you, and they help with what you need and answer all questions and they are very gentle and kind with all the animals as far as I’ve seen, I will continue to take my animals here, it’s a very lovely place !

Experiencia fantástica: AMAZING. My dog got an insect bite and her face swelled up like a balloon! I had never been to their offices before and barged in with my swollen pup. The staff quickly, without giving me any trouble, took my pet back to be evaluated. I was so impressed. The whole time I felt like Dr. Nowakowski cared about my pet and her safety. Discussions regarding treatment options and payment came after Dr. Nowakowski made sure my pet was stable. Additionally, when treatments were discussed I didn't feel like Dr. Nowakowski was trying to sell me anything I didn't need. The whole visit was affordable and INCREDIBLY reasonable for the services they provided. I was reluctant to bring my dog to the random vet due to previous sticker shock during impromptu/sick visits (>$300) but I had no choice and they were the only ones open at 7:30pm. Overall, I am so impressed by the quick evaluation, nice staff, and reasonable prices. Today, this vet earned my business and Dr. Nowakowski will be seeing me again! 10/10

Experiencia fantástica: Took my 10 year old pittie for a lump on the side of his face. He was examined and no tests or medications were pushed on me, just common sense awareness and follow up. It was also very clean and had no horrible smell like some vets I've been to.

Experiencia negativa: I was put in a room with my elderly cat for almost an hour. I had to call the desk for service. We came in for the promotional 50% off exam then was told none of the services my cat received would apply. The doctor, who was new to me, did not introduce himself. At checkout my card was charged for $3200.00+ that fortunately was corrected. I listened to several apologies and was thanked for my patience. Really? My experience was terrible. Im not sure I will be returning.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an appointment for another vet, despite going to Parkview for a good 15 years, just because of their dog spay deal. I canceled it, because I needed to have her spayed by someone I trust. It was well worth the money. I've had all of my cats over the years, except the two that I moved to MI with, spayed or neutered here. All their dental work done here. I made the right decision. They took care in handling my dog and allowed me to stay with her, up until the time of the surgery, because of separation anxiety. It's been over a week and she's healing up so well.They took their time. I've seen some gnarly looking surgery scars, but hers looks as good as you can hope for. Experiencia fantástica: My minpin had a little bit of a rash that of course he kept licking. I was afraid it might get infected so made an appointment online. Also, I love that this vet office has the ability to make appointments online, super convenient! We also did his yearly wellness check and a nail trim while we were there. Typically when I make an appointment, I just book with whatever vet has availability since there are several veterinarians that work out of this office. Yesterday I had Dr. Anderson, and she was amazing! Definitely not pushy and understood that I buy my dogs heart worm and flea and tick medication online due to better pricing. I will definitely be choosing her from this point forward!

Experiencia negativa: I called to make an appointment for my feral cat to have her updated on her shots and shaved. I'm perplexed about why the receptionist recommended medicine. Is she a doctor? This is simple. You can't touch the cat. She doesn't groom. She just needs to have her mat shaved off and vaccinations. Why can't you guys do that? Aren't you a hospital?

Experiencia fantástica: This was our first visit, and it was what I have been wanting out of my vet. Everyone was so friendly. The vet tech was so patient and nice. The vet was completely thorough with me. Didn’t make me feel rushed. Didn’t suggest I do a million tests I didn’t need. Didn’t try to up sell me. We found our new vet.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been coming to Parkview Animal Hospital for a number of years and seeing Dr. Kathleen Wilborn. She is patient, kind and a very qualified veterinarian. She takes time with you and helps you understand whatever may be ailing your pet. Can't imagine ever going anywhere else to have my animals cared for.

Experiencia negativa: I have taken my ( many )animals to Parkview since 2003ish. Always loved it. But since covid era they can never get anyone in. I've had 3 emergencies and they could not get in any! I had a cat that was having a seizure, nope. My dog was extremely sick, nope. Now my cat is very sick, nope. This has been going on for the last 3 years. They never have time for emergencies. If you have one don't waste your time they won't get you in.

Dr Purdy is incredible and informative and meets you on your level (literally) she came and sat on the floor with me and my doggo. Took all the time to answer my questions and was kind and caring . Wish I could remember the vet techs name - she was equally as fantastic! Will update if I remember
