Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been taking my animals to Riverview for over 25 years and always received good care for my animals but my most recent experience was by far the most impressive. Dr Webb removed a 2 mass/tumors, one tumor weighing 6-7 lbs,from my 15 year old Sugar. Sugar did amazing throughout the anesthesia and recovery at home and I attribute that to her thorough care at Riverview. I am so grateful to all the staff at Riverview with special thanks to Dr Webb!

Experiencia fantástica: Final review: We came back and are under Dr Webb's care who was amazing with Penny when she had her allergic reaction. We are back trying to tackle Penny's allergies and she was so thorough and knowledgeable and sweet. Here's to hoping we find a solution, but in the meantime, we do enjoy seeing their friendly faces at Riverview! Edit: I will gladly eat my words and take them back, because in a time of need, I brought in my puppy with a severe allergic reaction, and not only was I met by an amazing vet tech at the door, but I was squeezed in to an appt AND the vet herself took her time to go over things with me! The care Penny received was amazing and we thankfully were in the clear by the EOD thanks to their help. Forever grateful! Original review: I had gotten a puppy and booked our first vet visit 6 days after getting her. They asked for her records. Upon looking today, I notice they repeated vaccines in UNDER A WEEK that my puppy had already gotten. I find it hard to believe that off the half page of info on my puppy, they somehow “missed” that.

Experiencia fantástica: This is where I take my sweet Luna. My vet and vet tech were just so kind and I truly couldn't thank them enough for their patience with my girl. This place is an incredible place and they really know how to work with any and all dogs and even cats. I highly recommend! One thought, I would think if the office had an outdoor vet area, she would be more comfortable as the small rooms are nerve wrecking.

Experiencia negativa: THEY KILLED MY 7 MONTH OLD CAT. Do NOT GO HERE EVER. RUN DONT WALK FROM HERE. These people do not care about your animals and committed malpractice to my poor baby without any regard for her. I brought my cat in to get spayed and they left her with internal chemical burns and pneumonia. We brought her in the morning after the surgery (yesterday) and they didn't catch the fact that she had the issues, even though she was having a hard time breathing and other signs and they let her go saying "unsure why she has a fever". We had to bring her into the emergency vet last night and they found the issues, doing scans as the vet should have in the morning. Now she is in 24 hour care with oxygen and is having a really difficult time. I'm worried sick and cannot believe how terrible this spay turned out from the vet clinic. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: This week I accompanied a friend whose companion of 14.5 years passed away, and this location was insensitive at every turn. Even though the decisions about his dog’s cremation were made over the phone, we had to sit and wait in a brown room on a park bench with harsh lighting. The paperwork process felt cold and a bit traumatic. When he went to pick up the ashes, the staff rudely asked “are these remains?” Aside from one kind woman on the phone, there was a severe lack of compassion from all the staff. I am not able to recommend this place to any grieving pet owners. A lot more effort could be put into gently helping someone through this heartbreaking process.

Experiencia fantástica: We have had a better experience with Riverview than any other practice in the Chattanooga area. I won't bore you with the particulars of my bad experiences elsewhere, but I am more comfortable with the staff here and a big part is that they LISTEN.

Experiencia fantástica: We walked in after closing praying they would take our dog for boarding due to my wife going into to labor. The workers couldn’t have been more helpful. We love riverside for vet and boarding.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the only veterinarian hospital where our big lab mix would let the vets and techs do anything. He went in wagging his tail and was like that the whole time there. When he let us know it was his time to say goodbye to this world, they were the most caring techs and vet I have ever experienced in helping a dog cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Experiencia fantástica: We were in Tennessee on vacation from Florida when our 16 year old peekapoo had a tooth infection flair up. We called Riverview Animal Hospital and the girls at the front desk were extremely kind, helpful and got us in for an appointment first thing the next morning. Dr Ray saw our fur baby and she was so loving, kind, knowledgeable and patient. She gave our pup antibiotics explained everything thoroughly to us, took her time to answer all our questions and never made us feel rushed. I highly recommend them. If we lived their full time we would hands down have them as our primary vet care.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Kolb at Riverview Animal Hospital has been our vet since moving to Signal Mountain nine years ago. All of the people at Riverview are very friendly and nice to us, even though I can be demanding at times. But more importantly, they treat our pets like they are special. One of our many cats (as of two days ago, we are down to 7 and have had as many as 13 at one time over they years) recently passed a milestone that very few cats acheive. I have to believe that it is in part because of the special care that everyone at Riverview provides that Maggie made it to the amazing age of 26 years 2 months and 15 days. One of the Techs at Riverview (Trynity) even made Maggie a special birthday present when to mark the special day. Thank you to everyone for taking such good care of Maggie and showing her so much love, especially over the last year and a half when she got sick. You helped to keep her comfortable and happy while going through a few hard spots.

I was extremely impressed with how kind and thorough she was to help my sweet baby who was in so much pain. She described her diagnosis in detail and why she decided to treat him that way and even gave me a plan B and C if A didn’t work. I have been with riverview for years now and have never been disappointed! If you need a truly caring and knowledgeable vet she is the way to go!

Experiencia fantástica: We recently moved to Tennessee and brought our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks to Riverview Animal Hospital for the first time. Our dogs can be a little uneasy in new environments—especially at the vet—but Dr. V and the entire staff made them (and us) feel completely at ease. Dr. V took the time to really listen to our concerns, explained everything clearly, and impressed us with his knowledge and compassion. The team was incredibly friendly and thoughtful—showering the dogs with treats to keep them calm and happy throughout the visit. We were pleasantly surprised when they provided a detailed written estimate before performing any services—something we’ve never experienced before and really appreciated. They even suggested skipping the nail clipping so the dogs could leave on a positive note, which made perfect sense (especially since they were headed to Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in a few days—another fantastic recommendation from Riverview!). Our dogs are 7 and 10, and this might have been the best vet experience they’ve ever had. We’re so glad to have found such a caring, professional team here in Chattanooga. Highly recommend Riverview Animal Hospital!

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t thank this vet office enough for the love and care they showed my dog. We went through a really tough time, and Emily, Ruby, and Charlotte were absolute angels. They were gentle, patient, and treated my dog with so much kindness and respect — like he was one of their own. Emily’s compassion and calm presence meant the world to me, Ruby’s warmth made every visit a little easier, and Charlotte went out of her way to make sure I understood everything and never felt alone in the process. It’s hard to find people who truly care, but this team does. Their kindness and professionalism made such a difference. I’ll never forget how they treated both of us — with empathy, honesty, and heart. We will never be able to thank Riverview enough for all of the help they gave us.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my two dogs (13 year old-Blazer and 2 year old-Cash) to Riverview Animal Hospital for over a year now but this last visit pushed me to make a review. Dr Felty with the help of her amazing assistants Charlotte and Ruby are always wonderful people to deal with. They are compassionate and patient. They always take there time to answer any questions I might have and do a great job explaining why they want to do any procedure or test they might be doing. When I come here I know they have the best interest of my beloved pets. 100% would recommend

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my cat in to Riverview to get looked at and the staff here treated him and myself with the utmost respect and kindness. I Ruby and Trinity were so gentle with him and I could tell that he felt safe under their care. I would also like to thank Charlotte and Nay for their fantastic assistance in the care that was given to my cat. I will definitely be coming back.

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could give them less than one star. We have been coming to this vet for the past 3 years. In the past, they were amazing to our cats. Key word is “were.” One of our cats developed bacterial pneumonia. We spent close to $1,000 dollars on an oxygen chamber and another $800 getting Lilly treated with Riverview. Antibiotics, steroids and Oxygen were the treatment plan. We were told by the doctor on call (Dr. Ray) that we could bring her back in for oxygen if needed, because they wouldn’t prescribe us Oxygen at home, to rent a chamber., initially! After the medication was finished, her pneumonia came back within days. I called on a Sunday when I could see her struggling and asked to bring her in for Oxygen, as I was planning to overnight a chamber on Monday to our home. Barbara told me that they couldn’t do that, even though we were told they would as part of her treatment plan. I called Barbara again on Monday, and begged them to put her in the Oxygen chamber for just a few hours so she could rest and have help breathing. I again asked for the oxygen prescription. They wrote an oxegyn prescription so I could order the machine, but they refused to let me bring her in for a few hours of oxygen. I called again and begged them. She told me to bring my cat in and they would “evaluate” and give her a vitamin B shot and consider the oxegyn. I took her out in the cold and stressed her out, drove her 30 mins to get there. Barbara never came out. They took my cat into the back and gave her a vitamin B shot, then returned her to me and my crying children. They told us they can’t give her oxygen and to take her to an ER. EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID THEM TO TREAT HER. I told them I couldn’t afford an ER visit, too. The lead tech Amy came out and LIED to me, telling me she was the “office a manager” and that they don’t can’t give her Oxygen, and that she would be “talking to the Dr.” who told me we could do this. Even though I have paperwork just 2 weeks prior where we paid their office to put her in the oxygen chamber, which helped her greatly. I asked the “office manager” if I should put her down, as I didn’t want her to suffer. She told me that was “on me” and wouldn’t advise. I cried to the “office manager” Amy, who told me with a stone cold face that she couldn’t help my cat. She had no emotion, no compassion, no care for our cat. I told her I couldn’t afford the ER, plus the visit with them plus the Oxygen machine. The machine was $500, the oxegyn was $250 and then I paid $282 to overnight the machine. I was only wanting a few hours that day, until our machine arrived. Again, she sternly refused. The “office manager” Amy held no empathy in her eyes, her voice was unsympathetic and irritated and she was insanely rude and acted like we were the problem. What’s worse, Barbara never even came out to talk with me, and Amy acted like she was above Barbara, even though she asked me to come in. All this while my 3 children cried and begged for them help our cat. Our Lilly girl died in the late evening hours, and was no longer able to breathe on her own. She died a very slow and agonizing death. The oxygen chamber arrived the next morning, but she was already gone. Her lungs collapsed, and she could no longer do it on her own. I have to now pay to send the oxegyn chamber back, and the company keeps a 20% restocking fee. This vet prescribed us oxygen, they gave my cat vitamin B, antibiotics, steroids, but wouldn’t give her any oxygen which is what she needed the most. We had always had a reassurance that Riverview would fight to save our cat’s lives. I found out the next morning that the lead vet tech was not in fact the Office Manager, and had lied to us. The office manager Barbara, never even bothered to come out. I assume she sent Amy to do her job and tell me “no” one we arrived, even though she told me to come. They don’t care about saving lives anymore. Now it’s just about politics and money, sadly. I’ll never come back here. My children’s hearts are completely broken, and our cat did not need to suffer in this way.

Experiencia fantástica: They are very convenient, as I live downtown. Dr. Felty always takes good care of Sparky. Sparky turned 16 this year. I am fortunate to have Riverview Animal Hospital take care of him.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been taking my (very anxious) cat here since 2023. Everyone I’ve meet has been exceptionally caring and gentle with her, and I’m pleased with the care she’s received thus far.

Experiencia negativa: I find their confirmation policy to be completely unprofessional. After scheduling an appointment and showing up on time, they gave away my spot because I did not confirm. Then told me I would be charged a walk in fee if I waited to be seen. If I make an appointment and don't show up, feel free to charge me. If there is an emergency for another animal, feel free to ask me to wait. But don't try and charge me more for coming to my appointment on time.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and so sweet to all the fur babies. I recently had to put my sweet Wilfred down and they were so considerate and made the sad experience as comfortable for both of us as possible. My long time vets and Dr. Lovett, Dr. Felty and Dr kolb And vet tech Sarah For helping us in minxy's last moments I've actually been off work 3 days. I actually can't get it together to. This was our baby and while Hunter and pretty had passed I always had another one. I don't know ,I have to be a cat mama but I'm glad. I think he showed me he had to go quickly. I tried way more than I should have with pretty and Hunter To keep them just for me, it is devastating, but it was handled with the utmost respect, privacy and compassion, and especially kudos to Sarah who offered us to do paw prints, which we've already done on our own and actually cardboard coffin which we have our own method for that. No one has ever offered any of that. Truly truly grateful for all that was done. Prayers for us as we are still grieving and praying for God to send the next baby

Experiencia fantástica: When our previous vet couldn’t get our extremely sick cat in for an emergency surgery, we turned to Riverview and they delivered!! Not only were they kind and compassionate, but very efficient, knowledgeable, and effective. They got us in the same day for a vet appointment with Dr. V so that he could get eyes and information on our kitty, and then Dr. Nance squeezed us into her surgery schedule the NEXT DAY!!! She not only performed the emergency surgery, but she educated us, answered all of our questions (there were a lot), and she personally called to check in on our kitty a couple of days later. We can’t recommend Riverview enough!

Experiencia fantástica: Pikachu our elderly cat has been under Dr. Felte's care and the doctor has identified the root cause of this sweet girl's problems as well as enabled her to start recovering. Dr. Felte and other staff such as Haley and Ruby have been very caring and human during this time not only toward our beloved Pikachu but towards us as well. This whole team has gone above and beyond.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going to River View for YEARS, and I had my first put down there and had excellent service up until recently. I have been a bit frustrated with getting my lab results back with one of my dogs because I work nights. I wanted to speak to the vet about medication options because of her situation, not just “results”. I’m not sure what was going on with Liz at the front desk for hanging up on me but that was incredibly unprofessional.

Experiencia fantástica: UPDATE!! We were out of the country and our flight home was delayed for 2 days! In the middle of the night I sent Riverview an email explaining our situation. I called them the first thing the next morning. They extended our cat's stay 2 more days and graciously added an extra day, just in case we had more travel trouble. What a load off of our minds! Thank you, Riverview Animal Hospital!! Riverview is the only place I want to board my cat. He's not stuck in a cage all day. He has a nice multi level castle to stay in. His food and litter box are in separate spaces. He gets recesses! He seems happy there. There are vets there in case of emergency. They will call you if needed.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Webb and the team at Riverview Animal Hospital took very good care of my extremely timid rescue pups. They coordinated their arrival through the side door to alleviate stress and they treated the pups very gently and kindly. The exam was thorough and not rushed. Dr. Webb gave us great advice for treating their teeth and for heartworm, flea and tick medication. The pups never felt their vaccinations and were calm the entire time. We were very pleased with our visit, which was a lot more affordable than I expected.

Experiencia fantástica: Taking my dog to Riverside Animal Hospital has been the best decision I could have made for her. She has reoccurring health issues and has been dealing with bad allergies for years. After spending hundreds of dollars at multiple different vet offices across Chattanooga over the years, Riverside was finally the place to address her problems and give real solutions. Her hair is growing back, and I am so happy to finally have a solution to her allergies! The Veterinarians and staff at Riverside have all been super nice and have given great advice when we come in. They also gave me a really cute bag for my cat when he came in to visit, even though he was a menace during his appointment.

Evidently Riverview Animal Hospital, Chattanooga, TN has a new policy where they are canceling their customers scheduled pet appointments because of not responding to their office text appointment reminders. I have been going to this Veterinary for over 20 years and have always met my commitment to be at my scheduled appointments. It doesn’t matter how sick your pet may be or what your need is for your pet, I was informed today from the veterinarian staff that anyone will be canceled for not responding to the their Veterinary office text reminders. Who does that! I’m sure most people love their pets like I do and want their pets taken care of, and if possible by their trusted Veterinarian. I have completely lost trust in Riverview Animal Hospital in Chattanooga after today’s experience. If I make an appointment then I plan on being at that appointment. If I am not able to be at my scheduled appointment, then I would give courtesy to Riverview Animal Hospital to let them know that I would not be able to make the appointment or reschedule. They gave me no courtesy whatsoever that they were canceling my appointment for my sick, elderly-14 1/2 year old dog. It was the most awful experience for me today and probably for any pet owner to walk-in and find out your Veterinary canceled your appointment for not responding to their office text reminder. This is so wrong on so many levels! I think if Riverview Animal Hospital has customers that are not showing up for scheduled appointments, then they should charge a fee to those customers, but don’t punish your best customers for what other irresponsible clientele may be doing. Let’s just say that if my dog was in very bad shape and I had my scheduled appointment and Riverview turned me away today for a ridiculous response to a text message reminder and my dog happened to pass away without being seen at my scheduled appointment then I can assure you we would be having an entirely different conversation. Do better Riverview Animal Hospital! Needless to say, I now have a new Veterinarian scheduled.

Experiencia negativa: I've taken my cat this this vet three times over two years, and there has been a problem every time. From having to wait 40 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment to rude receptionists, I can't recommend this vet to anyone that values service. The vets themselves are good, but there are too many vets in the Chattanooga area to deal with the level of service this place provides.

Experiencia fantástica: We just left the office and we are extremely happy to say that the place was amazing. We brought in one of our foster cats who had a terrible looking wound on his neck. They were super friendly and very professional. They never made us feel anything but cared for and they were so gentle and sweet with our poor kitty. If we lived closer I would absolutely make this my go to vet office for everything. We made the visit today because our local vets aren’t open on Saturdays. Doctor Gina and Haley were who we saw the most of and they were incredible. If you can make appointments, then that’s cheaper, we had to go in as urgent care, but they are worth the money.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT board here. We boarded our dog for 4 nights, when we dropped him off he was perfectly fine. My friend ended up picking him up since we wouldn’t be able to get him before pick up time ended, once we got home he was laying on our bed, on his side with his leg up biting at his belly/private area. I took a closer look and there was little bumps all over him, and scabs starting from him itching it. We immediately called them, and they got him in for an appt the next day, but tried to charge us for the appt when this happened in their care. They tried to say that he had it before he came, but then the “DOCTOR” changed the story and literally tried to blame him, as in my dog saying he peed in his kennel and then laid down in it. Mind you my dog doesn’t pee in his kennel at home, so the only reason he would do it there is because they DO NOT take your dog outside to go to the bathroom as much as they should. He will sit in his cage about 8 hours a day and still doesn’t even pee in his cage. Even for a regular vet visit I won’t go back, they are WAY OVERPRICED, inconsistent, and do not listen.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in to get health certificates for my 3 pups. The process of moving is so stressful and adding a level like this has been tough. I was in panic mode when my vet of years just decided they were not going to do health certificates anymore because of the time they take. The staff here is so amazing! They took their time, over 3 hours, making sure every little detail was correct. Pups even got a little snack! No one seemed frustrated and they were so patient. Highly recommend this office. Izzy has been chronically ill for about 3 years now and no other vet was able to help. Dr. Felty and her amazing Vet Tech Heather were able to figure out what was going on with Izzy and cleared her issues up along with giving a treatment to help prevent it from coming back. They are the perfect team and I am very grateful to them.

Experiencia positiva: Riverview is great, I take my 2 cats and 1 dog for routine appointments (none of my pets have chronic illness). Appointment times are sometimes not very consistent, sometimes they are low on techs or falling behind, so don't pick an appointment time where you might have something important directly following it... you will be late. Otherwise, reasonably priced for services and all of the staff has been kind. Would recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone who works here is so kind, informative, and honest. You can tell they really invest in the care they give to the animals and their families. Our dog, Olive, has historically been pretty anxious at the vet so when we moved a couple years ago and were looking around for a new dr we were nervous that she'd have an even harder time adjusting. We've been coming here for almost 3 years now and she has become more and more comfortable each time (and we're frequent flyers... she's a high maintenance dog that seems to always have something going on). Dr. Nance and all the techs are so patient and kind to Olive, they meet her where she's at. Now she wags her tail when she sees everyone, and if she gets a little scared they find ways to make her feel more comfortable with whatever is going on. They're also extremely honest about their recommendations for care - they don't try to upsell you a medication or procedure they don't find necessary. We recently found a couple cancerous growths that they diagnosed and removed quickly. We really trust these folks and appreciate them for all they do. We always recommend them to our friends!

She does a thorough exam and gives honest guidance. She has shown a big heart as we've had to say goodbye to a cat and four dogs over the years. She went out of her way with our dear Alley that contracted some sort of respiratory disease. She tried like hell to cure it, but couldn't. We are excited that Riverview continues to grow!
