Left my old vet after she retired and was replaced by people constantly trying to upsell me, do unnecessary treatments, and just being generally shady. I do not get that here. Everyone is incredibly professional and makes recommendations based off expertise and care of animals-not money. I am always given options and never feel rushed or made to feel stupid when I inevitably ask a stupid question. The building is spotless and the staff is excellent. Love that they also have ER vet services. I trust my family’s life with them!

I would never go anywhere else for my pets. I've been coming here for 40 years and I no longer live close by. I use emergency vets near my house when necessary, but primary care will always be at Evans East Animal Hospital. Upfront costs, often have a options to work with financial situations for emergency services, and are easy to get ahold of to talk over the phone about concerns. In 40 years I've had lots of dogs and had different Veterinarians treat them, the service and care is always the same. Through all the upgrades they maintain and even improve care options. I absolutely love them.

Experiencia fantástica: We came here for emergency services when our dog fell into a burr bush on a walk and poor guy got burrs all in his coat and feet. He was a poodle with curly coat, so they all got caught. We then came here for two rotten tooth removal surgeries. Every time my dog was treated well and they were very patient and helpful with the process. Recovering from the surgeries both went fine and they were careful due to his heart murmur with anesthesia. When we came for the burrs the vet and techs were very patient and sweet with our pup and they actually discovered our dog’s heart murmur had worsened due to how he was responding to the sedating drugs. They were helpful in getting us medication for him for this and referring us to a doggy heart specialty clinic to get an EKG (or something of the sort). This is a good clinic and I recommend

It's always easy to get an appointment and somehow they'll spend as much time with me as needed, and I'm never left waiting for long. It's rare to find a place where literally everything is excellent every time but they just nail it consistently.

Original review: Love the staff here and the whole operation! They have been amazing with my pup and helped in so many emergency situations as well as routine care. Highly recommend! Only leaving them because I moved out of the area!

The follow-up call a few days later really stood out, because it showed they were still thinking about his care and wanted to make sure he was doing well. Furthermore the follow up texts about any questions I have really put this hospital in a league all of its own. The tech who helped was also very sweet and she helped with my stress and made sure I knew they would take great care of my cat while he was there.

Experiencia negativa: Just moved to the area called up this vet today and asked if I could bring my dog in to get her nails cut and since we’re new do we need to have a initial exam. I was told no you’re good, We can do the nails. So I bring her in and while we’re waiting, the tech comes out, sits down and asks me some questions about my dog and then takes my dog back to go get her nails cut. Comes back out and says oh she did really well and I say OK thank you and the tech leaves I go to pay and they tell me that it will be $60 and I ask $60 to get the dogs nails cut and then I’m told oh well that’s including the tech’s time. Needless to say I won’t be going back to this vet.

Experiencia negativa: I took my cat in several years ago for a check up. Like most cat owners I know when something is wrong with my cat and something was definitely wrong. I also asked them to check his mouth. First, Dr Lipkin barely touched his “lip” and said she couldn’t look in his mouth unless I paid for a sedation ($$$?). I said no. Then, without ever touching him she said I had to pay for a blood test. I said Ok, and they took him back for a blood draw. They brought him back to me and said they would call with the results ( this was the tech, I never saw the vet again). A week later I still hadn’t received any results so I called. Was told the vet would call me back. 2 more days later and still no results. BTW, this exact scenario had happened in the past with another cat at another incompetent vet. I called again and was told they emailed results to me which was a lie. I expressed frustration and asked for a call back. Finally a different vet called back not dr lipkin. She was not pleasant. She said the results were fine except pancreatic enzymes (?) were elevated. I told her this exact same thing happened before including my inability to get the results and the pancreatic enzymes were elevated. That cat ended up having pancreatic cancer and was gone within six months. If the vet had bothered palpitating his belly he would have felt the mass. When I told the vet this she told me to calm down this is normal for cats this age. She said I was over reacting. Well, I just got back from having my boy euthanized. Exact same, he had end stage pancreatic cancer. Again, if this incompetent vet had bothered to palpitate his belly she would have felt the mass. Or maybe not, either clueless or just doesn’t care. I didn’t take him to another vet, after 2 incompetent vets had dismissed me and my concerns I’ve given up on the quality of Denver animal care. Read these reviews before entrusting these people with your beloved pet. Too many one star reviews stating the same issues.

Experiencia fantástica: Evans East took care of my girl throughout her life and particularly when she was declining. Their compassion for my elderly 80lb reactive rescue was unmatched. When my son's family's tragically lost their youngest dog, I told them we would take her to Evans East for her final arrangements. The staff allowed me to make the arrangements over the phone as my son transported her to them. Evans East treated my son and his partner with the greatest compassion and kindness when they arrived. That reception helped begin to turn deep grief into somber remembrance. Their care for my family's emotions in one of the worst moments, will be forever remembered.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the best veterinary hospital ever! If you're looking for a vet, look no further! The staff is so helpful and accommodating. I called needing a last minute foreign health certificate and they were able to schedule me same day. They were great with my dog and cat, even providing assistance beyond the norm for complications that arised with trying to travel with my pets overseas. They are also affordable in comparison with other vets. I only wish I could of found them sooner. If you're reading this, call them and book an appointment ASAP you won't regret it.

Experiencia negativa: On Thursday September the 18th my dog had diarrhea with blood in it. I recently moved to the Glendale area from Fort Collins and haven't found a veterinarian to take my dog to yet. By Sunday, the September 21st, it had gotten significantly worse, and I was really worried about him. I did a Google search for emergency veterinarian on that Sunday and found Evans E Animal Hospital The reviews were pretty decent, and I didn't want him to suffer so I decided to take him and get him checked out. Doctor Farmer is who saw my dog, Rocky. She did a hands-on exam of Rocky and rubbed him for about a minute and she said that his diarrhea was probably caused from a bacteria and gave him antibiotics and I shouldn't be concerned about the blood in the stool, that that was perfectly normal. Rocky is 13 years old, and he has never had this issue with him before. Doctor Farmer seemed very confident in her diagnosis so I trusted what that she knew what she ws doing. She gave him five days of antibiotics and was supposed to give him seven days of probiotics but only gave me 5 as well but charged me for seven. The emergency visit cost $190.65, which seemed reasonable for an emergency visit. Afterwords, I never received a follow up call from Doctor Farmer or the hospital staff asking about Rockys condition. Five days later after administering the antibiotics and probiotics. The bloody Diarrhea had not improved. He wasn't drinking water, and I was concerned about him being dehydrated. So, I called. East Evans Animal Hospital and they Seemed unconcerned about the bloody stool again and suggested that I bring a stool sample in and they would send it off to be tested. A $99 charge. I took the stool sample in, and they said the results will be back the next morning. Around 12:00 PM the next day, I had not received any information about the results, so I called them. The First Lady has spoken with said that it usually takes 48 to 72 hours for the results to come back. Then she put me on hold and came back and said the results were back. But she could not give me the results that Doctor Farmer would have to call me and go over the results. I received a call around 6:30 PM that night from Doctor Farmer and she explained that they found one larva of hookworm in rocky stool. I found this very strange because. Rocky is not around other pets except for my cat, and my cat never goes outside. I expressed this to Doctor Farmer; however, she dismissed what I was saying and told me it was hook worms and asked me to come in and pick up the medicine to treat the hookworms a charge of $64.46. and advised me to give it to Rocky for five days, stop for three weeks and then give it to him for another 5 days. The 6th day the diarrhea and blood had slightly improved "and I mean very little improvement!!! "and Rocky was drinking a little more water but I was still concerned because there was very little improvement, and he looked like he had lost a lost weight. I called them again and expressed my concerns. They didn't seem to be worried about the fact that my dog had been sick about 2 weeks with bloody diarrhea and losing weight and said she would speak to a vet and call me back. I get a call back a few hours later and they want me to take another stool sample to test for a more resistant strand of hookworms. I am not a doctor and put my trust in the business and Doctor farmer needleless to say I will never take my animals here again. It is my opinion that Doctor Farmer has no idea what she's doing. Or this Animal Hospital is trying to get as much money out of people who have sick animals as they possibly can by misdiagnosing them, overcharging them, repeatedly charging them, and trying to get them to come back more and more times while your animal suffers. I would not recommend. Going to this place.

Experiencia negativa: Went to get health certificates for my cats who are flying internationally, and had a really hard time. The office insisted on not cross- checking my files with their files, and I received the same document 4 times with clerical errors on every single one. I paid $100 for each cat’s certificate alone and had a hard time getting the correct updates I needed. I know issues can happen but this was very stressful to navigate.

Experiencia fantástica: I usually take my cats to Denver Cat Hosptial across the street (owned by Evans East), but wanted to get my cat seen ASAP. We saw Dr. Trainor at EE and she was great! Very personable and took her time during the appointment.

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE– Cash grab practice just looking to rack up as many visit fees as possible. We had to take our dog in for an exam to get a vaccine per their policy $$$. I told the vet at that visit that we had plenty of flea and tick for the next few months. She said she would write a prescription that would be good for a year. I just went to fill the prescription and suddenly now I have to come back in for another visit $$$ before they will fill it since we are one month out from his annual visit due date. They are just looking to get as much money from doctors fees whenever they can. Do not recommend. This all despite the fact that we take our dog in every 3 weeks for anal gland cleaning. Which yes, I understand is not a doctor's visit but do not expect any level of customer service from this practice.

Experiencia negativa: I have verbally informed Holly of my dissatisfaction with the level of care and professionalism provided by your practice, in regards to my Mothers cat. Specifically, I am concerned about inaccuracies in the record-keeping, as certain entries appear to be false or misleading. Additionally, I was disappointed with the manner in which Holly communicated with my Mother, which I felt did not meet the standard of clarity and professionalism expected. Overall, I believe that your team has demonstrated a lack of competence in handling both record-keeping and communication. This raises serious concerns regarding the quality of care provided at your practice. Given the seriousness of these issues, I intend to file formal complaints with both the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine and the State Veterinary Board for further review. I hope this matter will be addressed appropriately, and I expect a response regarding the steps your practice will take to rectify these concerns. Ya'll are the most incompetent team Ive met.

Experiencia negativa: CAVEAT EMPTOR The WORST of the WORST !!! A Penrose Drain tube was left in my Black Lab “ELLIE” for over 2 years causing an avalanche of continued medical issues. I was in veterinary ultrasound for over 40 years (they have several of the ultrasounds I sold them). I have visited hundreds of clinics. Trust me, they are BAD…. Unfortunately, I would love to include pics but I don’t see any options to post pictures on their review page. My dog is now deceased!!!

Experiencia negativa: I took my animals here for several years while I lived in Denver. I have notified them I don’t live there anymore. They abruptly declined to refill my cat’s prescription food, with no warning to me. This now creates a huge headache for me as my cat needs his prescription food (he’s almost out) and I have to scramble with a busy schedule to get him into another vet to get approved for prescription food. All for royal canine gastrointestinal food that prevents him from being debilitatingly constipated. Feels like they never even really cared about my cat.

Very great support staff and love our vet Dr. Gao who has been so wonderful. East Evans is also very reasonably priced and doesn’t charge for unnecessary things - they are very honest and trustworthy.

Experiencia negativa: This message is for Holly. I spoke to Matt in regards to the situation with my kitty being mistreated. Holly said they were no longer able to help my kitty. I called to let them know a physician had passed away(Dr. Jeff). They were rude to me and unfortunately inconsiderate of the unfortunate event. I was in the middle of getting a second opinion. I’ve filed a formal complaint against your company’s plural because the cat hospital was also involved as they were incompetent. The two hospitals have mistreated my cat. Misdiagnosed the kitty: I have proof of all of the issues and they did not want to address the situation or further assist me with the matter. I will now file a civil complaint and am dealing with pre breast cancer and now a death in our community of vets! I’m very disappointed in the fact that they would not even apologize for the mistreatment or take responsibility. Experiencia fantástica: I recently brought my almost 11-year-old golden retriever, Mumford, in for a checkup, followed by a dental procedure, which included a tumor removal and tooth extraction. Dr. Matlock’s care was nothing short of exceptional. After struggling to find a vet who could prioritize my senior dog’s health - especially with his arthritis - and trying two other vets over the past 16 months, I can confidently say that Dr. Matlock truly stands out. She is patient, informative, and kind, never pushy in her approach. Her ability to connect with both pets and their owners is outstanding, and I always feel comfortable and confident in her guidance. I’m so grateful to have been referred to Dr. Matlock - she goes above and beyond and is truly one of a kind!

Experiencia fantástica: After having multiple seizures yesterday, Evan’s east allowed my dog to come back and be monitored to make sure he was doing OK and wouldn’t have additional cluster seizures and if he did, he would be in the proper hands. They took amazing care of him.

I have to admit that I've been really lazy about finding a new clinic because the techs and people answering the phone are so nasty at times, so incompetent I've had it! I've repeatedly told them what number to call me on and every time they say they will make a note. Every time they call the wrong number. Today the guy who called was so condescending and nasty! I asked what the latest it would be that the vet would call me with a urinalysis result, and he said they have a list and I'm sorry if you can't jump to the top of the list to call! I have spent thousands of dollars with this clinic, you're welcome! When I said I didn't receive the message he left, he continued sarcastically and said well I'm sorry your voice mail isn't working. If he had called the right number, first of all I would have answered, secondly he could have left a message I would receive! I'm done! I'm going to have to spend the time and find a new vet. There is a vet on almost every block, so not that hard. I guess Evans East doesn't need the business...

Experiencia fantástica: My cat presented with an unusual skin condition on her ears. Past vets noted it but didn't identify the cause or suggest treatment. Dr. Lipkin did some research and found that the irritation is likely a side effect of the cat's medication. I will reduce the frequency of dosing and hope to see an improvement.

Experiencia fantástica: Can’t recommend EEAH enough! I’ve been taking my dogs here for the last two years and have had nothing but positive experiences, both with the day practice and urgent care. The front desk staff are friendly in person and helpful over the phone, especially when I’ve called to ask for advice when dealing with situations I wasn’t sure were emergencies or not. The same for the urgent care staff, always very calm, patient, and reassuring when I’ve called about bringing one of my dogs in, even for minor issues that I may have worried about more than I needed to. I’ve never felt belittled or had my concerns dismissed. Urgent care seems to be on a first come first serve basis with priority given to serious emergencies which makes sense! Personally, I’ve never had to wait more than an hour at urgent care which feels very reasonable. On the one occasion where there was a 2+ hour wait (another pet was in critical condition and under sedation), I was offered the option to wait or to schedule an appointment the next day. My dog only had an irritated eye so I was happy to schedule for the next day. Even then, the doctor on call still did a quick check of my dog’s eye to confirm it wasn’t something that required immediate medical attention. The doctors are very communicative in person and always take the time to answer any questions I have. They also follow up on any treatment given and were very responsive when one of my dog’s condition didn’t improve. When my dogs have had to stay with them during the day for observation, dental cleanings, or an ultrasound, they provided regular updates so I knew what was going on. On the one occasion I had to discuss possible euthanasia, Dr. Rodriguez was extremely compassionate while also being straightforward and realistic about my dog’s condition and what his prognosis was, which I very much appreciated as someone who wants as much information as possible to make the best choice for my dogs. I did end up having to put my senior dog to sleep at an emergency vet after he’d spent the day at EEAH urgent care and when we called to inform EEAH the next day, Dr. Rodriguez asked how I was coping which was very kind and just goes to show how much the doctors here care about both the animals and their owners. My dogs usually see Dr. Trainor who is awesome with my fearful, little dogs; she is very attentive to their body language and reactions during exams, and always supports my preference to have them muzzled for everyone’s comfort and safety. I’ve also seen Dr. Rodriguez several times and a few of the other doctors as well, and all have been wonderful. I was also very impressed by how knowledgeable the doctors were and their suggestions to modify vaccine schedules to suit my small dogs so they still received all their vaccines over a few weeks rather than all at once. Especially helpful was only having to book and pay for tech appointments rather than a full vet visit for these vaccine-only appointments. I can’t speak to whether the prices are high for the area but they’re comparable to what I was paying when I lived in a much smaller city in northern Colorado and seem reasonable to me. They do require deposits for things like ultrasounds and dental cleanings but this went toward the cost of the procedures. I was also given cost estimates that were very thorough and I found to be accurate to what I ended up paying. I trust the doctors, vet techs, and staff at EEAH wholeheartedly and am so glad I found their practice after moving to Denver. Many very nerve-wracking and scary situations have been made so much easier to handle thanks to their kindness and patience! I’ve recommended them to family who moved to Denver as well and they’ve also had very good experiences there with their senior cat!

When I thought Bentley had an emergency, they rushed to see him without hesitation, demonstrating their commitment to urgent pet care. What really sets them apart is their willingness to assist with paperwork. Unlike the other three veterinary clinics I've visited, East Animal Hospital took the time to help me fill out Bentley's insurance claim. This extra step was immensely appreciated and saved me a lot of hassle. While my concerns as a new puppy parent have often turned out to be false alarms (thankfully!), the team at East Animal Hospital never made me feel like I was overreacting. They were patient, understanding, and thorough in their examinations. If you're looking for a veterinary clinic that combines professional expertise with genuine care and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend East Animal Hospital. Experiencia negativa: Possible could be an option for normal vet visits and mainly dogs. Please don’t take your cats here. Came in for what I thought was going to be a visit to diagnose an ongoing issue and was told my cat was in dire need of needing liquid out of his lungs and they couldn’t do anything because it was 5pm on a Friday and he had to go. I get that the man isn’t my therapist but you could have walked me through the process more and acted human.

My baby had an emergency visit, and before coming, I called in a panic. She talked with me the entire time and helped calm my nerves. As soon as we got here, the front desk person was amazing as well. He assisted in making sure my baby was calm and helped walk me through it all. The doctor was extremely incredible with communication, play by play actions, and options. So far, the best I've met in Denver. My baby, Honey, came home with a smile, and I cannot express my gratitude enough for the team. The CARE, THE PATIENCE, and The Attention alone are why we will be coming here for her normal checkups. Thank you all again and hope everyone can experience what I did.

Experiencia fantástica: Moving to Colorado a little over a year ago, I needed to find a vet asap for my senior cat, Cotton. I am so grateful to have found Evans East. Dr. Matlock, Dr. O'Neil, Dr. Rodriguez, and the entire staff have cared for both my angel's so carefully, patiently, warmly, and lovingly. My girls start purring when they get in their carrier knowing they are coming to visit their friends at Evans East which genuinely means so much to me. Bonnie, my 1 year old, has needed surgeries for her eye which Dr.Matlock was able to recommend the most AMAZING ophthalmologist ever. I am forever grateful for the life saving care both vets have provided to ensure Bonnie's quality of life is restored. Additionally, the detailed care for Cotton has certainly improved her quality of life as she has kidney disease. I cannot thank the doctors and techs enough for the support and love they provide to my girls who are my entire heart and world.

Dr. Gao addressed all of my concerns for my one-year-old Shepherd/Husky, and Lindsay (along with the other talented Vet Techs) was able to treat her and administer medication! The Reception team (Maddie, Rue, Jeliver and Sage) was very helpful coordinating my appointment. Before I knew it, I was in and out with a happy puppy.

I called East Evans and they were able to get an appointment that evening. The techs and vet were awesome, they took great care of her and took time to explain the issue, treatment, and preventative measures with me. Would definitely recommend them!

The price came after the nails were trimmed. Blonde desk girl never gave pricing before and seemed agitated when questioned about the high pricing. You can get a full groom for a short hair at a private groomer for that price. Do not trust this office without knowing pricing first.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog needed urgent care and my regular vet was not seeing patients without previous appointments. They referred me to East Evans Animal Hospital. As it turned out it was the best experience. Making a last minute appointment was really easy. Upon arrival in. the pristine reception area I was greeted and immediately escorted to an examination room where my dog was thoroughly inspected. Moments later Dr Matlock arrived, completed the exam, treated the ailment, provided me necessary prescriptions, and remarked on a couple significant conditions that my former vet had not noted regarding my dog's general health. All accomplished during a 15 minute appointment. We are now addressing those conditions. I really like Dr Matlock's approach and appreciate her sincere concern for my pet's wellbeing. I have been further impressed by her follow-up contacts in regard to my dog's condition and improvements. I could not be happier with my new vet.

My now 6 1/2 year old dog has consistently gone to EEAH since she was 8 weeks old, and for good reason. STANDARD OF CARE: Throughout her 6+ years, my dog has faced a number of health issues ranging from a stage 4 heart murmur, vestibular issues, incontinence, and even the big C (cancer). Despite it all, she currently has a 100% clean bill of health thanks to the excellent care EEAH has provided time and time again. Specifically, our go-to provider, Dr. Trainor, who is truly gifted in her profession. Dr. Trainor is very knowledgable, communicative, and has fantastic bedside manner overall. Though, having met a few of the other Dr's and many of vet techs over the years, I can confirm that EEAH's entire team is truly exceptional and unwavering on providing the highest standard of care. COSTS: EEAH is also mindful of transparent about the costs of care. They understand that vet costs can be burdensome and are intentional about helping owners work within their budget. They do a great job of laying out different options for care and providing the pros/cons, likely outcomes, and associated costs of each. From there, they help you decide on the most optimal care plan to keep both your pet and wallet healthy. They will never try to exploit the love you have for your pet by pressuring you in to the most costly options. EEAH's #1 priority is and always will be the wellbeing of your pets and they have earned my trust in full.

Experiencia fantástica: I came here as a new patient having just moved from florida with my baby who’d been having coughing fits that led to vomiting- Dr. O’Neill listened and walked me through all of our options to help diagnose what was causing the coughing (heart or asthma) fits. They were also super honest about trying other places for pricing an echocardiogram which i appreciate, and Evans East actually had the best price. anyways, Kreach is doing much better with no cough since being on an inhaler and i’m so happy to have a vet nearby that I can trust!

Experiencia fantástica: I’d give Evans East, Dr Gao, Dr Rodriguez, Dr Farmer and the rest of the team 10 stars if I could. They took exceptional care of my baby girl (senior cat, Boots) when she became ill and stopped eating earlier this year. I brought her in after having zero luck with our regular vet. After just a few visits and tests, Dr Gao was able to diagnose her with (unfortunately) renal lymphoma. She took her time explaining everything (e.g., test results, treatment) and even let me call her with additional questions, which went a long way in my book considering how scary and stressful it was. Unfortunately, Boots took a turn for the worse before her first oncology appt and I had to make the difficult decision to euthanize. And on that day when I was an absolute wreck, the Evans East team was kind, patient, caring, and compassionate. Overall, I highly recommend this place and can’t thank them enough for their efforts.
