West Park Animal Hospital: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: I have had great experiences with my puppy at West Park. This week, our bernedoodle was treated for possible impaction. Fortunately, things resolved. Drs. Wise and Nancy were thorough and supportive through the whole process. All of the techs and frontline staff were excellent.
Experiencia negativa: Didn't take responsibility for mistakes that caused our pet to die and they only see your pet as a dollar sign. These places are taking advantage of our love for our pets, it's really disgusting.
Experiencia negativa: I do not trust this vet office. They overcharge and didn’t give me a conclusive diagnosis after spending $900. I went somewhere else within a week and got the same tests done for less with a treatment plan. I have also heard nothing but bad things about them in recent years. Highly recommend going anywhere else.
Experiencia negativa: Typically we are very satisfied with WPAH. However, we just had an unpleasant experience with office staff (not the medical professionals). We called for a dental appointment several weeks ago and the system sent us to voicemail. We then received a text saying they scheduled us for 2/16. This was an excellent day since we had nothing planned. I checked the Vello app and it was there so we put it on our calendar. We did not receive a reminder so I checked the app today and it was no longer there. It was unilaterally cancelled. They suggested an appointment 15 days later but that was busy for us. We were finally able to reschedule 29 days after the original appointment. Planned for 2/16 and kept it open so very upset with WPAH lack of followup!!!
Experiencia fantástica: went a couple weeks ago it was a night time emergency and the place was so prectine and clean it was the exact opposite of what I saw from the day crew they helped my cat, I'm so glad the workers there are helpful but man does the day cleaners need to step up! once again the vets fantastic, The night cleaners last week were nice and awesome and the vets as well were amazing it's a cliche of day and night
Experiencia fantástica: My dog wasn’t eating and throwing up for 3 days. West Park got us into a room right away and the doctor and techs were fantastic!
Experiencia fantástica: They all took extremely good care of us and my cat. I am so glad to have found a hospital to trust in the future and would totally recommend to anyone looking for help with their precious pets
Experiencia fantástica: I used this clinic twice for our cat and they are amazing. The place is neat, friendly staff. They explained everything in detail. Unfortunately on our second visit we had a though choice to make but Dr. Leathem was so kind and compassionate as well as every other staff member that had anything to do with us that day. They were patient and understanding which helped make the process more bearable. Thank you all.
Experiencia positiva: Able to get appointments for the cats quickly with a minimum of waiting. They did not sell the desired flea medicine but did put it on the cats for me at negligible charge. Do not let them apply flea medicine. The first cat came back with it mostly on her fur. The second one came back with it down his shoulder and he was able to lick it off. $160 on the medicine plus the time mostly wasted. The vet seen a couple of times for cat 2 interpreted the X-ray well and kindly. Cat one came back with a high kidney value for a 3 year old cat and then they just said, see you for the checkup next year. I didn't feel like I got a sense of what the longterm treatment plan would be for either cat. Edit: called about the wasted flea medicine. Did not receive a call back. They were ready to put a 3 year old cat on asthma medicine after 1 episode of coughing. The X-ray looked nothing like the last cat with asthma. Once they start on the inhaler, you have about 5 years and it no longer works.
Experiencia fantástica: Had to bring my dog in tonight. From my phone call inquiring about whether or not to bring my dog in, to the care we received- everything was top notch. The staff and doctor were kind, we didn’t have a long wait, and the pricing was amazing. I just went to my regular vet 2 weeks ago for this issue and tonight’s emergency visit was only $2 more. Definitely would recommend.
Experiencia fantástica: I moved to Cleveland a few years ago and tried several veterinary practices because both of my dogs were senior dogs with special needs. West Park Animal Hospital was the best of those I tried, by a wide margin. Dr. Borys, the other doctors, the technicians, the pharmacy, and the entire team have been consistently wonderful with my dogs. Dr. Borys is collaborative and truly listens. He hears what you are saying, explains things in clear, plain language, and shares information that many veterinarians do not, which makes a real difference in understanding what is actually going on. He genuinely cares. He is not afraid to say when he does not know something, and he is open to your thoughts and questions. He is patient, experienced, and very smart, and he never pushes tests or treatments that are not necessary. The Pharmacy has also been so helpful and responsive in time sensitive situations. The rest of the team has been impressively fast and thorough in responding to my emails and sharing information. They are also very kind and caring at the front desk. When you are caring for senior dogs with complex needs, that level of honesty, respect, and thoughtful care matters more than I can say.
Experiencia negativa: Our dog was sick and we went in for multiple ER visits, only to find out on the third time she had cancer. Very frustrating they did not pursue finding the issue in the first place. We ended up having to put her down. The regular routine care was always good but we are not please with the ER services.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience!! Sat for 5 hours, got told my dog had to wait because of different dogs after we sat there. Hate this place and people have horrible service..
Experiencia negativa: My cat unexpectedly passed away, and I took my girl to West Park Animal Hospital as they had late hours. She passed away in the evening. When I got there, they took some information and led us to a room. They responded pretty quickly, and a vet tech came and confirmed her death. I do think she asked too quickly if it was okay to remove her. I wanted to take some time to give her some final pets and love. Another tech came in and explained the cremation process and pricing. She stated that I would be able to pick a package via email and that West Park partnered with a company that took care of cremations. We left and I was prepared to go through with the cremation process. However, the experience I had the next day was awful. I called to inquire about how my cat might have passed away. She was a healthy five-year-old cat who just celebrated her birthday last week. When I explained this to a receptionist, she rudely said something to the effect of, "She probably suffered. Cats are really good at hiding their illness". To say that I was shocked, angry, and appalled was an understatement. I immediately stated that I would come and pick her up. Again, the receptionist stated that I would need to make a decision as my cat would be transported to the crematory soon. Shocked again, I hung up the phone to calm myself. I called again and told them to have my cat ready as I would come and pick her up. When I arrived and told them about the receptionist, they did not inquire about what happened. Instead, I had to wait outside near the emergency exit (I might be wrong about the location). I will say that when a tech came out with her body it was professionally wrapped in bag and box. I will not recommend West Park Animal Hospital. I'm disgusted by the receptionist's rude and condescending attitude. I'm not even sure why this woman is working in this field. My cat was a part of my family, and her death was gut-wrenching. A simple act kindness and empathy should be the standard when people have lost their fur babies. I'm also appalled by other negative reviews for West Park Animal Hospital. I cannot believe that this placed "lost" an owner's cat ashes. That is despicable and completely disrespectful. My gut told me that something was wrong with this place after the phone call. I'm so glad I went and was able to pick out a wonderful memorial package with All-County Pet Crematory. They were $100 less than West Park Animal Hospital's cremation package. Please don't take your animal to West Park Animal Hospital. Whether they are living or deceased. There are plenty of other options that will provide quality care to your fur baby.
Experiencia fantástica: Can’t say enough good things about West Park Animal Hospital. The staff and vets are fantastic! My dog had a surgery that required continued visits for several weeks after, and each visit we would be welcomed by the smiling and friendly faces at the front desk and would receive detailed updates from the vets on how everything was progressing. By the time of our last visit it felt more like my dog and I were family than clients. Highly recommend WPAH.
Experiencia negativa: My 5-month-old Frenchie hurt his elbow after jumping. I took him to a vet hospital that looked very professional and had good reviews. We waited for hours and eventually had to leave him there. After an X-ray and a $500 bill, they told me he had a fractured elbow. They gave me two options: surgery, which they said wasn’t guaranteed to work, or amputation on my 5-month-old puppy. That didn’t sit right with me, so I got a second opinion. With just a temporary cast, he’s now doing much better—running and playing like a normal puppy again.
Experiencia fantástica: I am always so impressed with west park animal hospital. Their new cat floor is amazing! Everyone that works there is so kind. Dr. Boris is so thoughtful and patient with my cats. My cat Gumbo gets anxiety at the vet (as do I ) and Dr. Boris creates such a calm atmosphere! He always throughly answers my questions and treats my cats with excellent care. I love it here!
Experiencia negativa: We brought my previously very healthy Westie in with possible pancreatitis and a fever of 105.2 from another vet. They drew blood and said it would take an hour. We sat in a room alone for 2-1/2 hours and no one came in to explain the delay. Finally the vet came in and said they had to run his bloodwork again because his lab values were all abnormal and platelets were dangerously low, they reran it and it was normal. They gave us 2 options - keep him there or take him home with antibiotics and push fluids. I chose to take him home because he was healthy previously and they made it sound like it could be managed as long as he could take his pills and drink. Within an hour after I left he started panting, laid on his side, started gurgling and I could see blood coming out of his mouth. I picked him up to rush him back to my vet 5 minutes away, his bladder let loose with bloody urine and he went limp. He died on the way to the vet. No one called me from West Park to ever check on his condition but they did charge me a 3% surcharge. My beloved Buddy is gone. I wouldn’t take my pet there if you want him to live. THEY CARE ONLY ABOUT MONEY
Experiencia fantástica: I cannot believe how wonderful this place is. Our 13 year old dog had a severe vestibular incident (Google it) late on a Friday afternoon. I was not aware of these and as it was happening I though my beloved dog was dying right before my eyes and I felt completely helpless and scared. My wife called around only West Park would/could see him right away. We had never taken him here before. I cannot tell you how wonderful they were. They rushed us back to see our dog (Loki) right away. Every single staff member was kind, empathetic, communicated clearly, and guided us through this traumatic episode. The doctor and techs got right down on the floor to pet him and soothe him. But the part that really blew my mind was the price for the emergency visit. It was astonishingly fair. And for even more bonus points, they did not try to upsell me unnecessary and expensive tests and treatments. They simply recognized our emotional distress and treated our dog with the exact right amount to get him back home on the road to recovery. This place is amazing and well worth the longer drive compared to my previous vet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going there for years. Used to be a great place. For the most part I think it still is, but I took a cat that I have brought in as a stray to get checked out examined to make sure it’s healthy, check for fleas, how old…etc. The vet walked in never touched the cat or examined it physically whatsoever. She then proceeded to tell me I should get a FIV test for it as she just had a positive case and what other vaccines do I want to give it. I told her only rabies I told her I didn’t really have the money for an FIV test she said oh you really need to do it. I said fine. I will do it. She said ok then told me to put the cat back in the carrier and I’ll take it for its test and rabies. She came back and told me the cat was terrible. I need to keep an eye on its leg because they couldn’t get the blood draw very well and it may swell later and she was about to walk out of the room I said is the cat OK?! Like is she healthy? Does it have fleas? Do you think it’s been spayed? Do you have a guess as to how old it is? She answered a few of the questions -told me has no idea how old it could be probably still a kitten if it has grown since I’ve had it. Yes it probably definitely has fleas if it was outside and we can give you something for it if you want. And then walked out. I took it there to have it looked at and examined to make sure she’s healthy not just to get a blood test and a vaccine. She didn’t even touch the cat! Only to give it a blood test and vaccine. I don’t think 300.00 later …I’ll ever go back, very disappointed today as I’ve always always always took my pets there. Oh and they now charge a 3% service fee to use a credit card.
Experiencia negativa: We have gone to Westpark since 2004. They were always our go-to vet. They always returned calls promptly. They could almost always get our dogs scheduled quickly and the workers were very nice. Since opening the new building, the changes have been appalling. I don’t remember the last time they answered my call. I always have to leave multiple voicemails to get them to refill my senior dog’s prescriptions. It’s incredibly frustrating. I can never get my dogs seen in a timely manner and they don’t really try to work with you. Doing anything with Westpark is like pulling teeth now. We only go here because we love Dr Borys so much. Once he fully retires, we won’t be back. We don’t trust the other vets, the staff can be very rude, they lack empathy and are just plain unhelpful most of the time. It’s such a shame. We encounter many people in our community who say the same thing. Not to mention that their prices went up exponentially. It’s so sad.
Experiencia negativa: I'm losing my shi tzu JoJo of 12 yrs as we speak they don't take payments they told me it was 160.00 before he even goes back to a room that don't include test or procedure and no we don't take payments yes finacing but since I have bad credit I get to loose my best friend who knows when Im gonna have a seizure who's been threw cheating and a divorce with me
Experiencia fantástica: Our dog Thor (a Frenchton) got bitten by one of our other dogs ,Polly , in his side. DVM/Rebecca Lazarus cleaned out the wound and skillfully stitched him up. Prior to surgery, she thoroughly explained the process/procedure. Once the surgery was completed, she spent a generous amount of time explaining how the surgery went. I would highly recommend Dr. Lazarus for all pets.
Experiencia fantástica: I was so anxious bringing my reactive dog to the vet- so much so that I (ashamed to admit this) delayed a checkup because I was afraid she could hurt someone. These vets and office folks are COMPLETE PROS. They made my dog Gilda and I feel totally at ease by caring for her with patience and kindness. Dr. Kristen was incredibly thorough and I felt so relieved to have a game plan for Gilly moving forward. The prices were fair, it’s a beautiful facility and we were out quickly. Can’t recommend them enough.
Experiencia fantástica: We had to take one of our cats here for an emergency visit after a pneumonia diagnosis from our regular vet. He had not been improving much for a few weeks despite several rounds of antibiotics. When we got him to West Park, they saw him promptly and immediately got him on oxygen therapy and IV antibiotics. They did blood testing and x rays and decided he should stay overnight due to his labored breathing. Dr. Vega was the one we worked with the first night and she was amazing. She answered our questions and was not rushing us despite their emergency department closing at 1 and it was almost 2am. She was lovely. The next day, Dr. Lazarus was working with him. She called to give a detailed update and said she had also discovered a heart murmur that concerned her a little bit. She wanted to do additional testing to make sure he was okay to be treated for asthma (another new diagnosis our regular vet had missed). No one had ever mentioned a heart murmur before and we were so thankful she caught this. He ended up needing to stay another night to completely and comfortably come off oxygen and continue to receive all the meds he needed. All the updates were detailed and helpful and all the questions we had were answered patiently and kindly. The last day, Dr. Natalie worked with him. She was also lovely and gave us detailed and helpful updates. We were finally able to pick him up that day with all his new meds, inhaler prescription, and very detailed instructions on how to care for him at home. Leaving him there for 2 nights was stressful but we are so thankful for the team there. They were all empathetic, kind, helpful, and so patient. They also loved our Chuck which made knowing he was there so much easier. We are so grateful and appreciative of the care he got and will never take any of our animals anywhere else for emergency visits. We are considering even switching all of them to this vet full time.
Experiencia fantástica: Doctor and Staff treated us with such compassion in handling our 21 year old cat that had to be euthanized. We haven't been there in years and they listened, diagnosed and helped us through this process. We are sad, but so appreciative of what they did.
Experiencia negativa: Horrifically long wait times. I waited over a hour for my dog to get a simple vaccine. I was ten mins early to my appointment too! This is a consistent issue where you wait 1-2 hours for an appointment that only takes 10mins to complete.
Experiencia fantástica: I’ve always taken my pets here for emergencies, as they are better priced and friendlier than MedVet. I recently switched over to them for regular care for one of my cats and dog. Dr. Megan is wonderful. You can tell she truly cares about her patients. My cat, Dumbledore was admitted this week & unfortunately, we had to let him go. The compassion that Dr Megan showed, and how much love she showed my baby, knowing he was surrounded by that in the few days that he had to be there means everything to me. We were not treated like a number, he was treated like family and that is honestly rare. She took her time explaining everything. She tried what she could to get him to be able to come home and although the outcome wasn’t what we wanted or expected, the kindness is something we will always remember.
Experiencia negativa: We’ve been customers for years and were happy with the care. Once the new facility was built, it seems prices have skyrocketed, and we are now just a number to them. Customer service has completely gone downhill with no one to answer phones, return a voicemail, or help you in the waiting area. I felt forced to find another vet.
Experiencia fantástica: I can't say enough about West Park Animal Hospital. They saved my sweet boy Bandit. Bandit stopped eating and we brought Bandit in to see Dr. Henderson. Dr. Henderson discovered the problem right away. Bandit had a tumor on his spleen. If it wasn't for Dr. Henderson and his staff my Bandit wouldn't be here today. Everyone has been wonderful and I appreciate all they have done for Bandit.
Experiencia positiva: I took my cat into the ER because he was peeing blood and the staff took him back to check him out as soon as I walked him. (I did call 10 mins prior to make sure there’s opening). Because it was the ER and he was not considered blocked, I did have to wait about 1 1/2 hours until the vet came in and spoke to me. All of the staff working were very compassionate and comforting, offering me water and tissues. After being diagnosed with FIC, medications, IVs and the whole day in the ER, the bill was around $600
Experiencia negativa: I have been coming to west park for about 8 years now. I have two cats that I found on the street. I have paid them well over roughly $5,000 maybe more at this point. Last year April 2024 my cat was having severe throwing up and not pooping. I took him into west park emergency vet clinic three times total costing $500 every time. Each time I was told he’s just nauseous here is anti-nausea pills he should be good by tomorrow. This cycle went on for about a month before my husband (not a trained vet) said hey could it be his anal glands need expressed. This procedure costs $25 and takes them approximately 5 mins to do. When I asked the vet if that was the issue and why it was never solved before there was no apology and no logical explanation given. Since then I have taken him 4 times to get the glands expressed. I have taken him to another vet for his annual exam. I went back for convenience, called three days in a row to get his anal gland appointment set up and was told that he needs an yearly exam before they do it again. So instead of worrying about the cats well being they are worried about MONEY and covering their butts if something would happen. I have heard too many horror stories of pets with anxiety dying here in their “care.” During Covid they had me wait over 2 hours in the car while they kept my cat inside the building never giving an update. To some of us pets are family but unfortunately to them animals are just another way to expand their business and build an obnoxious new building. They won’t be getting any more of my money and I hope you think before taking the pet you love here.
Experiencia negativa: I’ve gone here a few times over the years and I have not enjoyed my experiences compared to other vets in the area. Here you are a number and a dollar sign to them. I took my dog in who was having some digestive issues and allergy problems. I was trying to explain in detail what was going on but the doctor did not let me finish a single sentence without feeling the need to cut me off and show me that she knows absolutely everything. After examining my dog she determined that she was most likely fine and the issue would likely pass but still felt the need to prescribe a variety of medicines for different things. I wanted to slow down and get a run down of what I could manage to use and not use, but in an instant the appointment was over and I was out the door with $500 of medicine. Upon leaving my dog instantly went to the bathroom and appeared to be fine. Despite this I still decided to give her all the medicine just in case (and for the fact that I just bought all of it). After one dose my dog had a seizure 30 minutes later (my dog is prone to seizures and has been treated at this hospital, but this never came up in our appointment). I called and left a voicemail asking for a refund of certain items but never heard back. At the end of the day, while the staff can be nice and probably do care about your pets, at a place like this they care much more about flying through patients and making money. You are a number to them, first and foremost.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible customer service, my dog is an established patient there I have reached out to the office on numerous occasions with no return phone call called multiple times finally someone at the office basically told me to bring him into the ER for something that I’ve been trying to address for the last three days He has kennel, cough and is sick so now I have to transfer his medical records over to another veterinarian office where he can receive some type of care, I think it’s awful that they basically were forcing me to bring him into the ER for more money obviously Terrib
Experiencia fantástica: The new hospital facility is just gorgeous. The amenities this place has are very impressive - you won't find these at any regular vet clinic! The gift shop is a nice bonus, where you can grab a nice fleece hoodie for the cold exam rooms. The artwork on the walls was also quite interesting. Our tech Amanda was a very gentle soul with a kind touch and fantastic bedside manner. And I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lazarus, who is extremely professional and caring. I can confidently say she is the best veterinarian you'll find in all of Cleveland. The only thing that eclipses her depth of knowledge is perhaps her cute new haircut. I greatly appreciate how LGBTQ+ friendly the environment is as well. Keep it up, West Park.
Experiencia fantástica: I have been here twice at the e.r. The communication and service was good both times.
Experiencia negativa: Disorganized, too busy for their own good. Takes months to get an appointment, have to follow up multiple times to get refills of medication.
Experiencia negativa: This place is terribly insensible, not only SUPER expensive, they are not clear with the charges especially when a customer is going through so difficult times having to put their loved one down and can’t think straight. I hope this doesn’t happened to anyone. We not only got charge $650 technically to give our dog 24 more hours for my son be able to say bye to faithfully companion for 17 years, when my son went to put him down they said $550 for the euthanasia and cremation and now they called him and said that those charges were only for the euthanasia and want another $300 plus for cremation.
Experiencia fantástica: First time I've been here and the vet techs and the doctor were extremely professional and very straight to the point regarding my senior dog's health. Overall they were very understandable about my situation and helped me get my pup into the building on a gurney. I had to say goodbye to my best friend today and they made the whole situation very comfortable for my best friend and for me. Thanks to the Dr and the vet techs for everything.
Experiencia negativa: Absolutely disgusting. My cat was bleeding out from a surgery and they told me I couldn't bring him in because they were at full capacity. It was spurting like an opened blood vessel while I'm sure they were prioritizing dogs with kennel cough. At a different vet now where he had a seizure from blood loss and they are doing actual emergency treatment while the lady on the phone at West Park told me to find somewhere else and I had to drive by there to get here and their parking lot was empty. Will never bring another animal here again and will tell everyone I know how little they actually care about animals here.
Experiencia positiva: Veterinarian who ran tests / examined my cat was very kind, compassionate, and communicated my options in a way I could understand. Unfortunately, I had to make the difficult choice to put my pet down. Front desk staff is extremely apathetic. When I went to pay my bill, after euthanasia, the staff member ( Leah ) didn't say anything to me after confirming that my card went through. I continued to stand there awkwardly, waiting for her to say if she needed anything from me or not. After a couple minutes where she started helping someone who walked through the front door, I asked, "Do you need anything else from me?" She said, "No, you're all set." No, 'I'm sorry for your loss'. No acknowledgement that I was still standing there after I paid. It just made me feel really lousy. Like, how can you not see someone is standing right in front of you? Also, it was my first euthanasia and I was there alone. Nobody told me I needed to notify staff when I was ready, so I sat in the exam room with my pet for close to an hour, confused. It was a very sad experience tinged with awkwardness and I felt no sympathy from anyone other than the vet. Please please please hire people with compassion. You're meeting some people on the worst day of their lives. The least you can do is show that you care.
Experiencia negativa: I have a lot of mixed emotions about my recent experience. I rescued a 4 wk old female stray in hopes to spoil her and give her a wonderful life. Brought her in to the er on a weekend she had a watery eye and some sneezing not the best appetite. They gave me clavamox for uri & terramycin and said to try kitten milk over wet food. Bill was a little over $200 not bad. Two days later rushed her in again. Body was limp not eating. Paid another $275 ( included another er fee) for that visit which included catheter, flea medicine and dewormer. Instructed to bottle feed and she had low glucose. Went home 2 hrs later same as earlier. Was told I would have an er fee again. That would be the 3rd two in one day. They took her straight back was told she now had sepsis on top of the low glucose & uri. After the fee's given for overnight care and the poor prognosis I unfortunately decided I had no choice but to put her down. And the fee for a kitten less than 1lb was $350.00 and that was not even to cremate her so I offered to take her home and bury her. The doctor was the only good part she was amazing and very comforting and reassuring with the circumstances. The not good part is the cost to take a pet here. I spent $850.00 just to basically put her down.
Experiencia negativa: This is an excellent facility but they need trained staff at all times. The front of the house has only trainees working and it caused excessive waits and lack of understanding is not what we pay for. The people dealing with customers and animals should be fully trained or accompanied by a trainer at all times. This is not the standards I have experienced in the past with this facility but today's visit was frustrating.
Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend West Park Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, our beloved dog suddenly became very sick. She was seen right away by the team and within an hour, the vet was sitting with me review the results of her scan and blood work in detail. Dr. Plantner made a very difficult decision, one of the quickest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Staff seemed very sincere, compassionate, and caring. Thank you West Park Animal Hospital for getting our dog and our family through such a difficult time.
Experiencia negativa: Used to be great, have been a customer here for years. Noticed that since the new build they’ve had a significant uptick in number of clientele. Now they don’t answer the phone, ever. Called the emergency line for 45-minutes straight one day until someone finally picked up. What’s the point if the emergency line? You call the main line, they don’t answer that either, forced to leave a message (because you don’t have a choice) they don’t call you back. You have an appointment, you call to check in go into the lobby more than once, they leave you waiting for an hour then say “whoopsies, we forgot”, as if people have endless hours to wait on their inefficiency. Most, not all, of the front desk staff is incredibly rude and condescending now when they used to be SO sweet. Unfortunately, what was once a fantastic vet is now very disappointing. My pet is in her last days so thankfully I won’t have to deal with them much longer. Either staff the appropriate amount of people to handle the influx of patients or simply tell people you do not have the capacity to care for their pets adequately. People appreciate honesty more than whatever subpar service you provide now is.
Experiencia fantástica: No one should ever take their loved pets to anywhere but westpark animal hospital. Our Great Dane Maya had to go to the ER and have surgery and they were everything you dream of for your pet. We had taken her to a previous vet and needed emergency care. When we called the night before we took her in, Bliss answered the phone and was so patient with us. She did not quickly get us off the phone, although I’m sure there were many other things she could have attended to with a full ER. She was kind, answered our questions and told us to look for her gums becoming pale. The next morning, Maya’s gums were pale and we knew to take her in. She had internal bleeding and needed a splenectomy. Without Bliss, Maya would’ve passed sooner because we did not know. Dr. Rohrs was the perfect combination of empathetic and honest. She did not make us feel like she was trying to get more money out of us. She just cared. She embodies exactly what you need from a vet and she clearly treats every animal like her own. She called us to tell us they were changing shifts and asked us if we had any questions. Our other vet elsewhere took hours to get a hold of. She made us feel like she would stay on the phone with us for hours if that was what we needed, while we knew she had many other patients and families to attend to. They put Maya in a cubby with fuzzy blankets and not in a cage. She was not nervous or shaking like she would at other vets. She seemed to know she was safe with them. Sarena, a vet tech, went so above and beyond her job description. We consider her a friend at this point. She made us feel that Maya was so loved and cared for down to her last moments. When the time came to say goodbye, they have a bereavement room, equipped with a comfy couch, calming pictures on a tv and a bowl of chocolates for the dogs-because they should be able to try it once! The ending was peaceful and the easiest it could be. Not only because of the process because of the people. They did not rush us to say goodbye. They even said “you could stay here all day if that’s what you need.” Every worker there treated us like family. If I could scream this from the rooftops I would: Do not take your pet to anywhere except for Westpark. They are angels walking among us and we will forever be indebted to them.
Experiencia negativa: I regret not trusting my gut after reading other negative reviews. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at an emergency vet—a complete waste of time and incredibly misleading. My dog has a rapidly spreading metastasized tumor, and we already had an appointment scheduled at MedVet this upcoming week to meet with a specialist. However, given how quickly the tumor was advancing and our concerns about her pain and suffering, we were misled into believing that West Park could help with the preliminary steps. Over the phone, I was assured that the vet could evaluate her condition and, if advanced scans or tests indicated surgery was doable, we could return the next morning for the procedure. Once we arrived, they took my dog to another room for an assessment, leaving me unable to verify whether the vet even examined the full issue we came in for. I was told that I could either hear what the vet said from a tech, or else pay an extra fee to meet with the vet myself. After deciding (obviously) to speak with the vet, I was told they couldn’t perform the scans or tests necessary to determine why the tumor was spreading so fast or what the next steps should be. Despite this, the vet immediately pushed surgery, claiming my elderly dog was "100% a candidate"—without even knowing the exact type of cancer, the extent of its spread, or the potential impact on her quality of life. When I asked follow-up questions, the vet couldn’t provide clear answers but still insisted on surgery. Even more baffling, she admitted she wouldn’t be able to perform the procedure herself because she couldn’t obtain clear margins due to the size and spread of the tumor. This place lacks both competence and compassion. They seem more focused on pushing for profit rather than genuinely considering an animal’s well-being. I wouldn’t trust them with my pet again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere. EDIT: Found out that same week my dog has inoperable cancer that will take her life within 3 months. Thank god I didn't lead blindly with the idiotic advice given by the West Park ER vet. Money hungry terrible vet who clearly didn't care about my pup's well being at all. EDIT: My pup crossed the rainbow bridge within the 3 month estimate. Thankful to this day that she was able to live her last days in peace and that I did not blindly rely on this place in caring for my beloved animals. I will never return and I advise anyone considering just go to MedVet instead. Trust the bad reviews and don't waste your precious time here if there's an emergency.
Experiencia negativa: Worst experience ever. I almost lost my pet because of their negligence. When we called the front desk, the manager who called us back was very passive aggressive and said we shouldn’t come back. She didn’t care about any reviews and essentially banned us from using their service. Good riddance!
Experiencia negativa: Neglectful and careless. Horrible expensive service, and my pets nearly fatal issues went unknown for two days until we switched vet clinics. Do not go to this hospital.
Experiencia fantástica: You truly feel the good admisphire within this place...The service is awsome...this place is a good caring place for your pets, I love the serves render to o e pets...they let you know ow what is wrong with your pet and the price range...No surprises...Serves is on time no long waits...most of all very clean environment...They desire .ore then 5 stars
Experiencia negativa: I have been taking my dogs to Brooklyn Animal Hospital for years. The doctors retired and closed the business. Apparently, they forwarded all of their records to West Park Animal Hospital, which is actually closer to where I live now. My older dog was due for shots and I have been unhappy with Center Ridge Animal Hospital’s policy of charging us for walking my younger dog through the door, so I thought I’d give WPAH a try. In late June, I took both dogs to WPAH to have all their shots updated in anticipation for boarding them while we went on vacation. On July 22, I tried to drop them off at Inn to Pets, who discovered neither dog got their bordatello shot and refused to take them. I tried to call WPAH but they NEVER answer the phone! Even when I was trying to make their appointment, they just don’t answer. I had to drive from Bay Village to West Park to confront them in person. Their excuse was, “Oh someone forgot to do them,” like they didn’t just wreck my vacation. After a lot of hee-hawing, the girl at the counter, Mary (who was the lone bright spot), said they could do the shot that day even though Inn to Pets still wouldn’t take them. She managed to call and get the dogs into PAWS on the Lake in Avon, more than a half hour away. We had no choice but to take it and accept their premium rates for boarding. The wait for the shots and extra hours driving killed our Tuesday evening plans (of a brief 3 day vacation). Meantime, WPAH acted as if they did nothing wrong and certainly did not do anything to take responsibility for their mistake. They charged full price for the shots, refused to account for their failure to do them a month earlier when I scheduled to have ALL their vaccinations brought current in anticipation of boarding the dogs, and they certainly did not acknowledge that it affected our trip and brought a whole lot of unnecessary stress for us and our animals. Mary promised that the office manager would look into it and call me later that day. She did not call until a week later and only to tell me in a very nice way to piss off and the hospital wasn’t responsible for their mistake and that they would be doing nothing to make the situation right. I tried to offer what I might have done to resolve the situation with everyone’s best interest in mind, but the office manager - I sure wish I would have gotten her name - cut me off and said, “(I’m) not (her), so she didn’t care how I would resolve the matter!” I expect responses like that that from the Cleveland Clinic, but not someone I entrust to take care of my dogs. Suffice to say, we will not be going back to West Park Animal Hospital, which is probably fine with them since they have enough other people and animals to mistreat with no consequence.
Experiencia negativa: My dog is absolutely miserable. I took him there with extreme allergy issues. Of course they were busy and my dog was not being super friendly and scared. He was not even seen, but just given a pricy meds based on what issues I told them he was having. I have since refilled his prescription 2 times. I have spent hundreds of dollars since our initial visit. He has continued to get worse. He cries as he licks and bites his paws. He is constantly shaking and itching his ears. I have even called facilities to submit him to and get the help that he needs, but every facility I call either is too full or does not take a dog his age (7-8.) I know allergy issues are common and often complicated and I have tried multiple things here like manual cleanings, changing foods, and home remedies. Nothing is working. I needed to rely on this place for help, he was never seen but they have taken hundreds of dollars from my family. We can't help but feel taken advantage of and a prescription is being used for pure profit. Facility aside, this system as a whole is completely abusive. People should be able to get their dogs help even if they don't have any money. Why should an animal just have to suffer? I am completely at a loss and disgusted by this entire thing.
Experiencia fantástica: While on vacation, my cat developed symptoms of an UTI and so I went looking for a vet to see her. Nothing around me was open or affordable, and then we came across West Park Animal Hospital while driving into Ohio. We called and asked if they could see her and how much they’d charge, and they were willing to work with us on our arrival time due to the unpredictable nature of traffic and needing gas; plus, they were pretty cheap compared to most places and especially compared to my home state. The staff were friendly from the start, super understanding, and willing to help make something work. Dr. Vega was very sweet, patient, and gave us the options to make things a little easier since we were low on funds post-vacation. I would highly recommend this facility.
Experiencia fantástica: I took my cat, Bitty, for dental surgery and Dr. Rohrs and the staff treated my cat kindly. My cat is no longer in pain. I was provided information on dental care for Bitty.
Experiencia negativa: I really loved our Vet and the techs we interacted with were fantastic. But as of very recently, no one answers the phone here nor do they return voicemails.
Experiencia fantástica: Once I came to WPH, it is the only place I have gone. I am very happy with the quality of care my dog receives, particularly by Dr. Scott. Dr. Scott is who my dog sees, regularly and he is by far the best vet I have ever dealt with. He has a very simplistic approach and holds space for all of my many questions and concerns (lol). Very appreciative of the time he takes as my dog is the most precious to me and I always leave here feeling very heard and seen, making a visit to the vet not so tough for my little guy.
Experiencia positiva: I believe this animal hospital was thorough in finding my dogs diagnosis but I would not return again. First, I did not get the receptionists name but she was lovely. I communicated that my dog was highly anxious, fearful and dog reactive. She brought us through the back and directly into an exam room to avoid any issues for him. she was very kind. My dog had blood work, ultrasound and X-rays— the cost does not concern me, I was glad that they were thorough and I felt confident in their diagnosis. Price was communicated clearly throughout the appointment. My dog was taken to a back area to get his vitals and see a doctor. I would have liked to have been there for the doctor’s exam, and had never had a vet appointment where the dog needed to be removed for vitals—but I trust the professionals. The dog was taken and brought back to me each time. With a fearful dog-reactive dog, which had already been communicated, he was at peak stress levels. I felt that 1 out of 3 techs were actually patient and kind with him. Ultimately the dog was more than fine, but there wasn’t much care for his comfort. My other qualm is that after the diagnosis hospitalization was recommended. But with his fear, and my medical background, I was advised to monitor and medicate at home for 48 hours, and we’d hospitalized only if necessary. Well, I’m sure glad that I have a medical background because I had 0 instruction on administration or side effects of the medications. I was told to google it. No on ever called to check on the dogs status after 48 hours (He had an active GI bleed and was pending hospitalization). I had called to change the antibiotic from a pill to a liquid form and could only reach a voicemail. Left a message and was told I’d get a reply within 24 hours. It was 3-4 days later that they quickly called & confirmed the prescription, and then hung up without asking about the status of the dog. Lastly, I was seated next to the grieving room for hours. This could be more private, as over 4 hours of medical emergency with my animal, I heard several families grieving, which in return was highly uncomfortable for me. I have had much more personal and compassionate care at the emergency vet down the road, which is where we will return. West Park was thorough in diagnosing my dog, but was unhelpful in almost all other areas. As a life long pet owner and medical professional I expect a different level of care, but I at least felt that the office was clean, and safe from the areas I was exposed to.
Experiencia fantástica: A few weeks ago I took my baby in, she was diagnosed with diabetes and needed immediate care. This place took care of her, called me with updates, and took the best care of my girl. Definitely recommend. Here’s a pic of my girl today doing 100% better
Experiencia negativa: Every single day for 2 1/2 months we came in to have a wound looked at, cleaned, and a bandage changed on our cat. We had a great experience for almost that entire time with a doctor that seemed to care, lovely front desk people, and some vet techs that actually understood our cat and what the doctor expected. There is one vet tech that wears glasses and a whole lot of pink that frequently was aggressive and rough with our cat, rude about her to us, and consistently did things to our cat in the back exam room that she did not talk to us about or ask us about until 2 hours later when we got our cat back - FREQUENTLY (if we were told at all). We thought about asking for her to not work on our cat anymore, but WPAH is always so understaffed that we never felt like we could ask this of them, and there were never any huge issues, so we didn’t request this (we really should have). 2 weeks ago this VT made a choice without talking to us or asking us (again!!!) and it backfired on her, and not only did it scare and potentially hurt our cat, but it resulted in WPAH kicking our cat out and putting ALL of her wound cleaning, bandage changing, and IV fluid administering on us with 0 demonstration, help, or clue about what products or medications we should be using on her (we are not trained veterinary anything, we are 2 artists); no fault was found on the part of the VT who mistreated and mishandled an animal in her care at that time (even her colleagues have admitted this to us and that she does not work well with cats). It is pretty messed up that because a “trained” VT messed up and didn’t do her job really at all, in any sort of way, our cat has to pay the price. We were loyal customers of WPAH, spent Literally hundreds of hours, dollars, gas miles coming and going, and recommended it to almost all of our friends and colleagues. We will not be going back, we will not be recommending it unless people want to lose money and get their animal handled roughly and potentially dangerously. We thought we finally found people who would care about our cat as much as we do and could really help with her wound care. Disappointed and disgusted in how they have treated us and our cat, all because she reacted reasonably to being hurt and scared by someone who was supposed to be helping her. If you do happen to go, and you get a VT with glasses and a whole lot of pink, ask for someone else. (The only good people there are Bliss and Anne who both work at the desk, we will love them forever, but only them).
Experiencia negativa: Took my dog to them, he was having trouble with his balance, after running a blood work and X Ray. They told me they didn't have a clue what was wrong with him, but don't forget to pay the desk on the way out.. There are definitely good vetinarians and then there are those who went to Billy Jo Bobs online school of Vetinarians. I guess I got the latter...
Experiencia fantástica: I’m sad that I didn’t find West Park Animal Hospital until I had to bring my beloved pup in for urgent care services. They were kind, compassionate, and helpful. Unfortunately, my dog needed help crossing the bridge at a later date, but they gave us the same compassionate care that day - every employee treated us with kindness and the sensitivity we needed. The two veterinarians that took care of my Henry even wrote us a condolence letter. Cannot recommend them enough - someday when I choose to adopt another pet, they will be my choice for care from day one. Thank you so much.
Experiencia fantástica: We took my senior not very friendly cat Brutus there a couple times. They are INCREDIBLE! Receptionist to vet techs to actual vet all amazing. Sophie was the sweetest, patient, most understanding vet we've ever met. Brutus does not travel well, and is not the nicest to anyone- but she gave us realistic advice/ options and ways to keep Brutus the most comfortable. Thanks WESTPARK! You guys rock !
Experiencia fantástica: If I could give a ten, I’d wish for an eleven! Could not be better. First, I love the way dogs are on the first floor and cats are on second. 2) The doctors and staff are so knowledgeable but friendly. 3)When we went for a checkup, Dr. Boris sat on the floor and gathered my doxies in his lap. He played with them while he checked their vitals, and when they had to get their shots, the staff took over so the pups still love Dr. Boris. No stress for them. 4) When my pup was so deathly ill, there was a real doctor that checked her every hour, 24-7. Then the doctor called several times a day for an update. 5) Visiting hours are up to 1:00 AM! And when we visited, the doctor came in to talk to us. 6) The place is so darned clean! Spotless! 6) I thought I was going to have to take out a second mortgage because she had to stay five days and had all kinds of tests and medications , but the price was so reasonable, I thought they’d made a mistake. 7) Most of all, my baby, who was sick unto death, is home and running around good as new! GOD BLESS THE WESTPARK ANIMAL HOSPITAL!
Experiencia fantástica: I could not be more grateful for this place! Dr Michael seen my baby, Atticus and I couldn’t be more happy with my experience! The whole staff was so sweet. And the Dr was able to help me out and answer all my questions. You guys are absolutely amazing! Thanks again for all your help! I’ll definitely be recommending u guys in the future!
Experiencia fantástica: We were in town from Lima for our sister's birthday. We had just rescued a beautiful pup about a week prior and we didn't want to leave her behind, so we brought her along. Long story short, we couldn't figure out why she was yelping when we'd touch her and she was just miserable! Everyone at West Park was absolutely amazing! They took great care of our Poppy puppy and she's already on the mend. We appreciate you guys so much and Poppy does too! Thank you for being awesome! ❤️❤️
Experiencia fantástica: I'm on my husband's account to leave a review on April 25th we brought our German Shepherd puppy Kane to the last place that we could possibly maybe get help from we woke up and his lipstick was out but not only was it that also one of his scrotum's was out it was last minute we were not prepared obviously for something to go wrong and we were just inquiring about getting health insurance as I said we woke up and that was going on he was in a lot of pain it was not looking good whatsoever we called everywhere no one would even take a look at him unless we had money up front we went to this place they got them back immediately they started Care on him they informative of what the cost would be they understood that at that moment we just didn't have the means and a lot of places will turn you away this place did what they could gave me a care plan for at home gave us prescriptions that we were able to afford and at that point was up to God it was a 50/50 for our dog well it's been almost a month since that incident and as of last week our dog did a full turnaround he's healthy he's happy his area is completely healthy and healed and I owe it all to this office they took time they genuinely cared it wasn't just about money for them and there's no way that we could ever show our gratitude I did personally call and thank them and if ever one day I'm lucky enough to make a huge donation to this place I definitely will they are amazing and because of the care that they provided when we had no other alternative is now the reason that they're going to be our primary office I recommend anyone anyone anyone go there if they can't do what's needed they're going to tell you alternatives to do at home and they'll give you a list of places that might be affordable if things need to be further taken care of I've never seen a place that cares about their animals the way that this place does we love you guys we appreciate you guys and we hope you guys have all the success the team from the front desk to take in to the assistant to the text to the veterinarians we're all just amazing again we love you we appreciate you and you have gained our business from this day forward
Experiencia negativa: Was there with my cat last night for over 4 hours. When it hit 3 hrs when no one came in to see us i went out and asked. Was told they lost my paper work the doctor would be in asap waited another hour. Walked out with my cat jinx and told the front desk i was leaving, thats when i was gonna be seen but my cats stressed out and he had an elevated temp of 103 and a swollen eye. Ill just make an appointment somewhere else. He’s just a year old and i was trying to advocate for my cat. I was trying to be understanding but my cat is such a sweet boy and it was torture being in that room for him. He was freaking out with everyone walking by for hours. And if they couldn’t see him I should have been told to go somewhere else.
Experiencia negativa: my partner's cat went here for a urinary blockage. i will say they got him in quickly (as they should because it's considered critical), the vet was kind, he seemed to get good care while there, and the price was typical for the procedure he had. where they went wrong is that they sent him home with a sample of the prescription urinary diet that was only enough for one meal, and no written prescription to order the food. we called after the fact asking to have the prescription sent over and they refused, saying that we had to come in and buy it from them cause they carry it in the clinic. i've never heard of a vet REFUSING TO GIVE YOU YOUR PRESCRIPTION??? cats can easily reblock after this procedure, the week following unblocking is extremely critical, and not being able to have the urinary food puts them at HUGE risk for reblocking. urinary obstruction can be fatal, and if they block too many times they need invasive surgery. they put the cat's life and wellbeing at risk to make some money off trying to force us to buy the food from them at an inflated price. luckily kitty is okay because i had prescription food he could eat, but that was sheer luck and they didn't know that. they didn't care if he reblocked and died.
Experiencia negativa: A few years ago I gave them 5 stars, coming back to change it to 1. I took my dog in to have her paw looked at and the vet was so scared of her, she made me open her mouth and lift her foot, mind you our dog is the most gentle dog in the world - she judged her because of her breed. This I could have forgave but about a month later she woke at 4am crying in pain, she cried for 4 hours until they opened at 8am. We called them as soon as they opened to ask for help and the girl who answered the phone said she'd leave a message for the vet, we didn't get a call back until 4:30 PM that day. Whatever happened when they expanded caused them to not care much about the animals anymore. There's a few good vets there but I will no longer recommend West Park to anyone.
Experiencia fantástica: Got us and our 5 month puppy in right when they opened with an emergency and no wait. Staff was SO kind and helpful. Pricing is so reasonable especially for an emergency visit! Absolutely recommend and can’t thank them enough.
Experiencia positiva: I would give 5 stars, as bothof my cats were recently put to sleep here and the level of compassion from the vets unparalleled, and very much appreciated. They were just outstanding I could tell they cared even though they were not my regular vet. However, it was opening an old wound to not get a condolence card in the mail when my other senior catwas euthanized 4 months ago after receiving one for his brother yesterday, because they didn't enter my address correctly. My cats meant everything to me, and it hurts my soul to know that the card for him never made it to me, it would be nice to have it as a comfort and a keepsake. That being said, I love this clinic and will bring my future cats here for care based on the obvious caring and compassion they showed me and my cats in their final days and during emergencies. This is a great vet clinic! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Experiencia fantástica: We recently took our Havanese dog Sammy for medical treatment at West Park over a period of a month. It turned out he had several medical issues. 2 doctors did everything they could to save him but in the end we had to put him to sleep. The doctors and staff were very supportive and compassionate through this difficult time. It was so hard to lose our beloved pet but they stayed with me while procedure was done. Even sent us a sympathy card. Highly recommend this facility for the care they provided.
Experiencia fantástica: They took great care of Tinkerbell while she was alive and was the best shoulder to lean on while she passed. I could not recommend a place now for everything. Thank you too the entire staff for their compassion!!
Experiencia fantástica: The staff at West Park are the absolute best in the area. Both of our dogs have been seen by Dr. Megan, Dr. Kane and others on the ER visits, and their customer service and attention to patients ( and the pawrents) is award-winning. I can't say enough good things about my experience, especially when you have a pet who has dysplasia, the team pointed us to the right surgeons on our journey for a total hip replacement. Hugo is thriving with his new hip.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr Boris is extremely caring, knowledgeable and attentive . When was the last time your vet personally called you to check on your pet? West Park has exceptional staff and a beautiful facility.
Experiencia fantástica: We brought our cat in here this morning and from start to finish it was a 10/10 experience! From the ladies at the front desk to the dr...everyone was absolutely wonderful!! Thank you all for taking such good care of our Hiccup!!
Experiencia fantástica: My bull terrier got into a fight with a raccoon and I called first thing in the morning and they got me right in. Every one from the front desk the nurse tech and the dr They were all very friendly caring And explained everything in detail. I highly recommend them❤️
Experiencia fantástica: Knowing my Moya was well taken care of. Will definitely follow up with them with my dogs care. Every employee up their was a joy to be around. Very professional . Thx WPAH
Experiencia negativa: This clinic only cares about money. They have no accountability for their actions. They quoted my sister lower price , and when she asked why it was higher, they banned her and the pets from going there. That's awful. And rhen the receptionist and the other female employees laughed as she was crying , leaving there knowing she had to find another vet after all of these years.. Very unprofessional, and uncaring, pretty disgusting behavior
Experiencia negativa: Would not recommend! My husband and I took our 8 yr old yorkie here to get looked at and cared for. Our yorkie was acting very strange. He was not eating or moving just layed down and was nervous... After a couple hours later they could not determined what was wrong with him. They continously guess his condition, I was very confused and mad and they had prescribed him some medication that was suppose to make him feel better. Long story short, at the end of the night my dog ended up passing away in my husbands arms. They had no remorse and no care for what we were going through. Now we're stuck with a bill and a painful loss..
Experiencia fantástica: All of the staff here is truly amazing. I was pet sitting for a friend and there was an emergency with their cat, so I’ve been sitting in the waiting area for a couple of hours now. Every interaction has been extremely compassionate and friendly, they get pets taken back very quickly and everything seems to run very smoothly. They’ve been extremely helpful with myself and the owners in this tough situation. I highly recommend and will be referring people here!
Experiencia negativa: Absolutely the worst vet I've been to. After 3 emergency visits in 45 days with no results. They say I need to go to another vet. So now I get to pay for all the test all over again. Fantastic. Horrible vet
Experiencia negativa: The vet gave me some pills to give my dog for incontinence with no information, didn't answer any questions and rushed me out the door. Went home and looked up online these pills have killed more dogs than not. Expensive, will not come back.
Experiencia fantástica: Sadly, we had to put our family dog down but honestly I could not have been more grateful for how professional they were and comfortable they made all of us feel
Experiencia negativa: Would give it 0 stars but you know. Most cold hearted place I’ve been to. Used to be amazing but unfortunately they more money hungry than animal/owner compassionate. If anything goes wrong you still get charged an arm and a leg just to bury your pet at the end with fake remorse. Never will I ever take my pets there or recommend to anyone. Take your pets to north view animal clinic at least they show more compassion. Last time I had a pet put down was there and they charged me nothing. These guys here took over 80% of my deposit which ended up $1655. And a dead cat
Experiencia fantástica: Decided to come here off a whim due to a doggie nose bleed and I am so glad. The staff was so caring, compassionate, and explained everything so nicely. They were urgent and timely as well. Not to mention very reasonably priced. We will choose them forever!
Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about this Hospital. We did an ortho consult with Dr. Henderson and I have never had a physician spend as much time explaining the care options as he did. We also utilized Medical boarding for our partially paralyzed dog and had a great experience. Thank you for everything you guys do!
Experiencia fantástica: We have been taking our dogs and cats to be seen by Dr. Megan for over twenty years. She is thorough and kind and has made diagnoses that could have been missed. We are grateful for her expertise and surgical skills, and would recommend West Park and Dr. Megan to anyone needing care for their pets.
Experiencia negativa: I've been to West Park 3 times. They have failed me incredibly each time. The first two times I was unsure if my 18(1st time, 20 years old the second time I brought her) was going to make it. Each time they took her from me while I checked in, held her for 3 hours and I had to go up to the front desk to ask if she was even alive anymore. They diagnosed her with cancer both times and really pushed me to get an 18 year old cat chemo therapy. The first time was anal glad impaction. The second time was a pinched nerve, both were diagnosed quickly and easily at Pet Vet for a fraction of the cost of even walking into the emergency vet. This past time I brought my dog who suddenly passed, I just wanted to make sure he had fully passed. They took him from me. Had me check in. Confirmed no heart beat, and then did not ask if I wanted to take him but instead gave me a bill and stated the bill was for taking care of his body and transporting it to the memorial facility. Not a facility of my choosing, and gave me their paperwork for the morning. Ultimately this place has failed me and my animals in every possible way every single time. I truly hope you look elsewhere unless it's an emergency situation that you know for certain what is wrong.
Experiencia fantástica: We love West Park Animal Hospital! My dog has had the scary hemorrhagic gastroenteritis three times in his life and 2/3 have been treated by WPAH. They do an amazing job! I always trust their doctors, they take the time to explain everything and each doctor added his/her own pieces of wisdom to his case. They always called back when they said they would, gave good recommendations, and listened to me every time my worried self called. We are so grateful that we found them when we moved to Cleveland. Their new facility is also very open, clean, and beautiful.
Experiencia positiva: Finding competent veterinarian services is difficult. I am pleased with the care and treatment provided by the vet staff, as well as the cost of services. But it took two and a half business days to get a prescription food order approved at Chewy, and that was only after making multiple phone calls and sending an email. I was actively on hold with vet staff when I received an email from Chewy about my food order status update. Hopefully it's smoother on the autoship moving forward.
Experiencia fantástica: Great place. They really care about your pet. Affordable, comparing it to other emergency places. We have been to other places and care cannot be compared as well as price. Noting but wonderful team of professionals working at this place!!!!! We had to use this hospital over the years many times unfortunately and had great experience every time. Keep up the great work!!!!!
Experiencia negativa: This place is a ripoff!!! Callen( Administrator) is refused to allow me to speak with her/ his manager after a conversation about them charging my credit card twice. They made me pay before services were rendered $685. While others paid after services !!! Weeks later I received a call saying we owe more and the tests were not charged. We paid prior to the tests being done!!!!!! A year later she won’t have my dog seen there because they attached a balance to my account along with extra charges. When I questioned her she said - she won’t wave fees because I decided to argue with her!!!! She laughed and purposely giggled all throughout the conversation UNPROFESSIONAL AND SUCH A RIP OFF!!!! Don’t bring your pet here if you love them!!!!
Experiencia negativa: Terrible customer service and communication. I called for a same day emergency appointment. They said come on in but you might have to wait which I was fine with. They checked me in and stick a thermometer up my dogs butt that I had to help hold my dog and then they come back and tell me they don’t have a doctor to treat my sick dog. Why waste my time? Don’t go here for emergency appointments.
Experiencia fantástica: The staff is as good as the facility is beautiful. I’m not sure I’d trust anyone else with the care of my dog. They are going to be kind of expensive, but well worth the price.
Experiencia negativa: This place will charge you an arm and leg for their services.I paid $517 for consultation ,leukemia and aids test, x-ray, fluids and they did an ultrasound but they didn’t charge me for an untrasould. I went down to buckeye animal hospital and they are way cheaper. Westpark animal hospital wanted to charge me like 2 grand for my cat to get spayed and she has pyometra. So I went to buckeye and they are charging me $300.
Experiencia fantástica: I called to schedule an appointment and was pleased to be accommodated on the same day. I brought my dog, who can be a bit energetic, and the staff handled the situation very well. Additionally, I found their services to be reasonably priced, which I greatly appreciate. I will definitely be returning and have a high regard for this establishment.
Experiencia fantástica: I called to check the wait time. She added us to a list of pets coming in. It wasn’t life or death but they took our dog right away and he was home in less than two hours. He’s sleeping soundly & feeling much better!
Experiencia fantástica: The West Park Animal Hospital will always have a special place in my heart. Every member of the staff that I met was so kind and helpful to me and my dog Falkor. He passed away last month, and the staff was so kind and helpful. It was hardest thing I've ever done, but the staff was so helpful I managed to keep it mostly together. Thank you - You all are doing great work. I only recommend the West Park Animal Hospital to friends, family and anyone else who will listen.
Experiencia fantástica: We have just moved to Ohio from Oklahoma with our very old and sick dog, Sadie. We knew that it was her time. My husband contacted West Park. They were so kind and considerate. They made us feel so comfortable even in our horrific sadness. They took us to a comforting room with our dog so she can actually go to sleep respectfully. They brought us back immediately and treated us with the utmost respect. I recommend this wonderful place to everyone.
