Experiencia fantástica: Tech GiGi is the only person who can get my 8 year old Chihuahua’s nails trimmed. She does it fast and efficient. Everyone else is unsuccessful and he has to get put under in order to get it done due to biting and him holding his breath until his tongue turns blue. . Going from $200+ down to $43 is a life saving amount for someone who is low income. Tech GiGi is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING at her job. I can’t say enough good things about her! Her work is extremely impressive as well as her attitude!!! God bless her and all the workers there at Gateway!!!

Experiencia fantástica: When I tell you guys I called about my cat and they got me In the very next day, it took a village today and the people at gateway were my village today to the doctor today all the way down to the people in the front they were amazing. My cat had cancer didn't know had to put him down, I was loosing it and everyone in that office was so kind understanding! God bless every single one of you today, I cant think you guys enough!

Experiencia fantástica: We recently had our first appointment here for my 70lb pittie mix in search of a more affordable dental cleaning procedure. (My local office is in Twinsburg, and they charge an arm and a leg). This clinic was recommended to me by a colleague. Dr. Johnson and the vet tech who met with us first were very kind to my highly anxious dog as well as knowledgeable/informative about any questions I had. I have her dental cleaning scheduled in a few weeks and am looking forward to checking this off my list of to-do’s! I likely will be returning here for future Vetrinary needs - whether routine or unexpected - as the cost for service is the best I’ve found, and the care they provide is equal to their overpriced suburban counterparts.

We happen to be there unfortunately for an emergency visit for our senior kitty. Dr. Federer and staff were able to order tests, talk with us about our options and made a plan. While, no veterinarian services are inexpensive, this was all reasonable for the level of care we received. Thank you to the doctors and staff for your kindness.

Not only did they continue to provide great service to my pet, they jumped into action in making sure I was okay too, making me feel cared about and not embarrassed from the experience. Experiencia fantástica: I’m so thankful for Dr. Johnson and all her Team. I brought in my dog Keila pretty much in critical conditions. She went above and beyond and saved my dog. As a cancer patient going through chemotherapy it’s been so rough lately financially. She didn’t have to help but from her heart she saved my dog and did the surgery. My funds were extremely minimal but thanks for donations that also helped with the bill. I don’t have the words to describe how thankful I am. I pray for the beautiful staff. Kat at the front desk was a blessing too. She is so sweet and understanding. Staffs and doctors showed that they really care. I took my dog to another place the night before and you could tell they are more about the money than saving a life. Dr. Johnson has a calling and she is my angel. My Keila is alive thanks to you. God bless you Dr. Johnson and all your team. Keila is doing pretty well.

Experiencia negativa: Gateway Animal Clinic, My family does not want to receive any future “Happy Birthday wishes” for AUTO. You are the same money thirsty hyenas that put our animal down and told us it would cost 10k for a surgery, on the spot, and started waiving a funeral arrangement pamphlet in our face once your team realized that their was no way my family could afford that sort of money right then and there. You showed no bed side manners in a moment of grief and distress. The timing and manner in which the pamphlet was presented felt insensitive and pressured, especially immediately upon learning of our inability to afford treatment. You then gave no other options to try and help save his life. And no evidence was shown or X-rays on his condition. Your company preyed off our emotions when we came to you for help. This experience has left me and my family deeply upset since you put AUTO down & we are questioning the clinic’s approach to compassionate client communication and clarity in such situations. So again, Remove me and my family from this god forsaken “birthday list” immediately. I don’t need a soulless & robotic reminder EVERY YEAR of how you DIDN’T try to help save his life. Along with my request, I kindly request: • A written explanation of your clinic’s policies regarding discussing end-of-life services during treatment cost discussions. • Confirmation that staff will receive training on handling financially limited cases with greater empathy. • An apology for the distress caused during this difficult time. Gateway, Can you atleast do THAT?? Smh I can only hope that this feedback helps improve experiences for other pet owners facing similar challenges. (If anyone takes their pet here, make sure you have them show you PROOF & X-Rays of your animal’s condition. They failed to do so during our visit leaving us blind during a moment of distress. Try your best to think clearly & stay focused if they start waiving a death pamphlet in your face preying on such an emotional moment. You’ll feel it in your spirit that’s something’s not right. Walk out of there with your pet. GET A SECOND OPINION) Gateway Animal Clinic, Please respond within 14 days. If I do not hear back or receive a satisfactory response, (per my last email) I will escalate this matter to the state veterinary medical board. Thanks for your attention. Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely love Gateway!! I have been taking all of my pets here for several several years now and I will never go anywhere else!! They have always been a great animal clinic staffed with people who truly care about your pets, affordable prices and beyond helpful if you can’t afford all the services, they will break everything down and explain everything thoroughly and prioritize the most important services your pet may need while staying within your budget. I recently just took my 2 cats here 2 weeks ago for their appointment and this was my experience. Walked in front desk ladies all greeted me. Kat checked me in, love her she is just so energetic and always on it!! Waited for not even 2 min before I was called. The vet tech John took me and my fur babies to the back to get everything going and was just outstanding in every way!!! Dr. Johnson then came in to examine my cats and I have never had her before but now I don’t want my pets being treated by any other veterinarian other than her!! She was also outstanding in every way!!! Thoroughly examined my cats, explained everything to me, answered all of my questions, my cats were so comfortable with her and received the best care! Dr. Johnson didn’t rush a thing she took to treat my cats and made me feel so much relief and comfort that they were truly being cared for and not just a “quick hi and bye, next! exam” that unfortunately some vets out there do…BUT NOT HER!! I left there feeling so much better because I know that my cats were already starting to feel so much better and it’s all thanks to the above and beyond care that is provided at this animal clinic!! Thank you so much Dr. Johnson I will only be booking future appointments with my cats with you! Thank you John you were amazing as well and I hope to be able to have you be the vet tech every time I come in for all future appointments because you were just so great!! Thank you Kat and all the lovely ladies at the front desk who are so kind and helpful!! Thank you to entire staff at Gateway Animal Clinic!!! Experiencia fantástica: As a walk in they saw the emergency my dog was having and took him back right away. They were patient, thorough and found his problem (animal bite) that was causing the infection. He is healing well and going to be fine. Thank you to everyone there

Experiencia negativa: I took my dog to Gateway for an emergency pyometra surgery in January 2024. At a follow-up visit a month later, because her incision was still leaking after stitch removal, they told me she had cancer and would die soon based only on a physical exam, but no actual tests were done. She lived for several more months, and when I brought her to my long-trusted family vet, they found her incision was severely infected and were preparing to operate. Sadly, she passed away in June 2024, the night before that procedure. I watched her suffer for months while trying everything I could to help ease her pain, with no help from Gateway besides brochures on Pet Hospice and a few pain pills. I waited to post this review until I could reflect on the full situation, and because I owe it to my fur-baby to share her story. I am very concerned about the lack of proper diagnostics and post-surgical care, and I would never bring any of my dogs to this clinic ever again.
Experiencia fantástica: They have been so great as my vet for my pups. They went way above to try and save my pup Nymeria who had a tick borne disease. Then when I got Jelly, they treated her with kindness and accommodated us when they were super busy when she had an urgent issue. They're always super busy but they don't let that affect the care they give and how they treat animals and humans.

Experiencia negativa: I have finally worked up the courage to leave a review. I owe it to my Echo who I brought in for an examination. The vet, was Dr. Blue I believe. A young woman doctor with short Black hair. I could have the name wrong, she completed imaging that showed an obstruction in my dogs tummy. She requested to do exploratory surgery knowing it was most likely cancer. While my dog was there she called and asked to put her down. Like “what?” I told her no because I didn’t want Echos last memory to be of her afraid and without me. When I got her back I couldn’t believe how callously she cut into her, just for the fee and to confirm what she already knew. Echo rapidly declined from there. I just wish she would have had the compassion and integrity to say “it’s most likely cancer and just spend as much time with her before you’ll have to humanely put her to sleep” I miss Echo every day and she deserved better. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because before this lady there were kind ppl and good experiences I had there.

My dog had long nails and always suffers from skin issues and they put him on a treatment plan that really helped him in the best way possible. They really know what they're doing and care greatly about your pooch.

My kitty is already feeling better, back to snuggling, eating, and drinking & not sneezing constantly! The vet noted he had lost some weight since his last visit and wanted to follow up in a few weeks to make sure he doesn’t have any underlying conditions, since he’s an older cat. I’m very thankful for staff that see beyond the reason I was visiting and clearly care about my pets’ wellbeing.

Experiencia positiva: We have used gateway for our pets for over 20 yrs in addition to regulat vet services. Since they were previously a walk in service we used them as an emergency service since we trusted the care they previously provided. We took our elderly cat to them when it was time for him to leave us several years ago and found comfort there in this service. A few days ago we saw our female cat our daughter was deteriorating rapidly and did not want her to suffer. We asked them to put her to sleep keeping her dignity since she was our mouse killer and lovebug whom showered us with love daily with her lip to lip kisses. Gizzy was our daughter since she was a kitten our child. Instead of honoring our wishes and listening to us. They forced insulin which made her pass out and become so disorientated she forgot how to chew her food when we finally got her to eat using an appetite stimulant. They treated us as if we were trying to kill an animal reception asked rudely if i had tried everything to get her to eat as if i was not attentive to my childs needs. The technician was on a mission to save every animal regardless of consequence completely disregarding the people who know the animal best. The insulin not only made her last days of suffering unbearable to watch as we came home to find her laying in her own urine hovering over her water dish from extreme dehydration but they forced unnecessary suffering on my fragile sick cat. Thank goodness our vet put her to sleep with the little dignity she had left in her tiny body. She was a warrior. Cat killer. Lover. I wanted her to leave us in that manner. Gateway...please LISTEN for the next family. My goodness.

I reconnected with Dr Brian my veterinarian from almost 30year ago when I had German Shepherds. I knew I was in a caring, and professional environment. My Westie Snoozzie is well taken care of. Although Dr Brian has retired and is missed, DEARLY. Veterinarian the Quality of care Snoozzie receives as always remains excellent. The Staff is pleasant, professional and polite. Experiencia positiva: Gateway saved one of my dogs life years ago, and they both still go here. Most of the staff is amazing, kind and you can tell they love and care about the animals and families. I love the new appointment-based structure! I had a bad experience with the blonde staff member with curly hair who sits in the back, but you can see her from the waiting room if that makes sense. I had to pick up my dog from her spay, and had my daughter with me who happened to be nauseous. She started to throw up, cough and gag and the staff was so kind to get me a trash and helped me clean. I was very apologetic but THAT one staff member was making rude remarks the whole time, shaking her head in annoyance and even got up to get a mask or something and say AT LEAST COVER HER MOUTH, as my 2 year old is literally throwing up. How in the world are you going to cover a toddlers mouth while she’s throwing up? Would you have preferred I left her in the car alone so I could pick my dog up so that you’re not being disgusted by vomit? You deal with sick animals all day but don’t have empathy for a toddler that’s throwing up? Some moms don’t have on hand babysitters every time we need to do something. I will continue to go here because this staff has always been amazing except for her. The front desk staff were especially patient and kind to me so thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my new puppy for a well puppy check. The staff was very kind and the vet was informative and cared about my fur baby. All my questions were answered and puppy got all his shots and flea/worm/heartworm medication along with cheese and a lot of love! I would have given 5 stars but they are a little pricey. Overall I have bought pets there before and will continue to do so. I value the way my pet baby and I were treated over the cost of care there. They even had a cute board upon entering with the names of pets being seen that day - adorable! It truly is the little things...

My dog is scared of people and always gets nervous during the vet visits as much as she shivers severely, but surprisingly, during the visit with Dr. Federer, she was calm. He knows how to approach and treat pups with anxiety. He listened to us and addressed all of our concerns. He’s expert and so nice!

Experiencia positiva: The care here is fine. It is very impersonal. Every visit with my dog, they act like it’s the first time they’ve seen him. There’s no recollection of previous visits. We discuss redundant topics and other already discussed issues. It makes me feel like my dog is not being evaluated thoroughly. Do they not review past visit notes before seeing my dog? The receptionist has talked down to me on multiple occasions. She is very rude over the phone. I move around the country a lot and have experienced a lot of vet clinics over my time. This clinic is definitely on the lower end in terms of quality.

Experiencia negativa: Would give a 0 if I could. Waited a ridiculously long time for someone with an appointment. They put me & my cats in a group room with several dogs next to us when they have private rooms. Made their stress 10x worse. Took me several months to get my cats prescription to which I was hung up on & told it was my fault before they finally realized they never put it through after I called the 10th time. Went to schedule the follow-up they told me to make & said they didn’t examine her enough so I would need to come back in & pay for another exam??? Mind you the prescribed her medicine for her this follow up visit procedure. Took them to Tremont Animal Clinic after this to not only learn they misdiagnosed my cat but also prescribed her medicine that was not necessary regardless. Don’t even get me started on bill… almost the same as my rent down town. Seems like they are out to make money off you. Highly recommend Tremont Animal Clinic or Cleveland APL Vet (APL is pretty backed up tho)

Experiencia negativa: I just walked out mid appointment because of a vet tech complaining that my puppy was too noisy because he was nervously whining. I’ll add that my older dog was euthanized in the building the day before. He probably could smell her if she was there. Regardless, he was whining because he was nervous and that’s just not it. Go elsewhere when you can.

Experiencia fantástica: Gateway Animal Clinc has some of staff in any vet I've ever seen! Made an appointment with them and they were able to take care of my dog with expertise and quickly do their check ups! I felt like making the appointment might have been longer than the entire visit. They're just amazing and I've been here multiple times, if you need help with your Animal they've definitely have made a life-long customer from me!

Experiencia fantástica: Gateway was so clean, and everyone is so respectful and friendly. My cat (Síofra) and I were checked in after only 10 minutes, and both the vet and vet tech were helpful and informative. Care for our girl was extremely affordable compared to other clinics, and the people there do their best to make Síofra feel as comfortable. This is our first choice vet location!

Experiencia fantástica: We brought our pup here a few years ago (moved states) and I’m still grateful to them. My pups face had become swollen and she was lethargic. We brought her here and they took such good care of her!! It was a bit of a wait but they were soooo affordable and she healed quickly so it was definitely worth it!!

Experiencia fantástica: Went there today for my sweet Betty. She got pink eye. The doctor stain her eye to see if she had any scratching marks. I would recommend come here. The nurse who with us was very nice and helpful. I forgot her name. She showed me how to put the ointment to Betty’s eye. I would come back for her routine check up and vaccine.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at Gateway was so helpful and friendly I truly appreciated their help and understanding.
