Fantastic experience: Was able to book an appointment online in the middle of the night for the next morning, immediately taken to a room when we arrived, all staff was incredibly transparent about options and pricing, listened to everything I had to say, were so so gentle with Sadie and I never had to leave her for a second, I have access to the entire appointments notes right on my phone, and we left with the antibiotics my girl needed in hand. Will absulotely be back with any future need, cannot apprecite them enough!

Fantastic experience: If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I don’t know which one of us was more nervous me or Cocoa. But they were wonderful people his nurse was spectacular. His doctor was awesome.. So caring and loving towards him, I could not have asked for better people. We had a horrid experience at our previous Veterinarian and to come into such a wonderful warm, loving Veterinarian Office, and to be treated with such kindness was just overwhelming. They are professional and they are caring. I would never recommend anyone other than Petfolk to anybody.. This is where Cocoa and I will be staying and I am so grateful to God to bring us here. Thank you for all your patience and kindness towards both of us.

Fantastic experience: So easy to book online and lots of options for same day appointments. We were seen immediately upon arriving and the staff was very kind. They were very upfront and transparent about cost before doing anything which is always appreciated. They took great care of my dog and explained everything to me very thoroughly. Fantastic experience: They were so understanding and accommodating to my dog's temperament. Also, for various reasons I let something lapse that even in my opinion made me a bad dog parent and was scared they would judge me (I would have judged someone who did the same thing) and they didn't even bring it up. (Although, a past dr or tech made a somewhat judgy comment about something of way lesser of importance.) Good energy all around for today's appointment.

Fantastic experience: Petfolk takes great care of my pup. When we had an urgent health situation they were able to get us in so quickly (faster than the “24” hour vet clinic we were going to). The staff was so amazing caring for our pup that we choose to make the full switch over.
Negative experience: I have been living in Charlotte for three years and taking my yorkie to these facilities. The last draw was I had my 18 year old daughter take him in because he was having bleeding coming from his mouth. They gave my daughter one pill and told her he has a stomachache ache and charged her 200$. I took him to get a second opinion and found out he had an abscess and some really bad infection. My poor baby was in a lot of pain. When I called the facility I was told that someone would get back to me. I felt rushed off the phone and on top of that still have not got a return call. Please do not patronize this place they just want your money

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere is very welcome. The staff is amazing you really get the one on one care and understand at Dr. They break down the prices of everything and they do everything in front of u for ur furry babies with Exams
Fantastic experience: Petfolk is phenomenal, and I can’t fathom entrusting my special needs boy’s care to anyone else. Drs Jane and Benedetto are angels on earth, and the staff are all incredible as well. They are always available, even after hours support, and they truly care about every animal they treat. And that care is a critical part of their business model. And it makes ALL the difference in the world. As someone who had 3 different vets tell me to euthanize my boy before even running any tests on him, I know what I’m talking about. I’ll never take my Spencer kitty anywhere other than PetFolk. We visit the Strawberry Hill location, but I’d wager EVERY location is the same in regards to the standard of care and personalized treatment. I’m also quite often on a strict budget (with a very sick boy), and they have ALWAYS worked with me to stay at my budget for each appointment. Plus they offer AfterPay as well. Vet care has always been a necessity, but this is the first time I’ve ever really loved and respected a veterinary group. They’re like family. If you have a PetFolk near you, do not hesitate to take your baby there. Also highly suggest purchasing the annual membership, especially if you know you’re going to have more than 1 or 2 routine appointments a year. With the membership you don’t have to pay the exam fee, and you get additional discounts. PetFolk truly is the new standard in veterinary care.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful. I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in the door. Very easy to make same day appointment. They helped me with an end of life evaluation for my aging mother’s cat, and were very caring and understanding. After we discussed and it was determined that it was best to proceed with euthanizing, I requested to take the cat to allow my mother to see her cat one last time, which we were able to do. The cat passed before I could make it back to their office. They didn’t even charge me for their time. So appreciative and impressed with such uncommon customer service. I’ll not forget that.
Negative experience: Kind people and good in a pinch but too “corporate” to be a long term option. They have no on-site pharmacy. You also don’t have the ability to call the vet directly (you’ll be sent to a centralized call center who doesn’t know the specifics of your location/or even the area you live in). They also tried to charge $60 for a cat’s nail trim because they “don’t want to compete with groomers” but they did take that charge off during my first visit because they were aware that it could be a “shock” to people. I tried to get a quick prescription through them (something I used to be able to pick up same day at my previous vet) and it’s become a weeks long process because they either want you to wait to have it shipped or get a written prescription and hunt down a place to have it filled— even though most places don’t take outside prescriptions for pets.

Fantastic experience: Needed to make an "emergency" visit on a Sunday and found they were open. Took our 16 year old kitty in for what we thought was bladder spasms, and she also had a UTI - they were able to get us all sorted and far cheaper than the local "emergency" vet that is $1500 just to walk in the door. Petfolk diagnostic fees are higher than our regular vet, but having them open when you need them is worth the extra cost. Update December 21, 2025. Took our 18-year-old male in today for what was basically feline idiopathic cystitis. He was peeing blood. Seems like it always happens on the weekend when our regular vet is not available. The people at Pet folk were amazing and it was not a long way until we were seen. They were able to give us meds and treated him for a UTI just in case and sent us home with meds to keep him comfortable until he heals. Eight hours later and he is a completely different animal. These guys do great work and I love to know that they are there when our regular vet is closed.
Fantastic experience: Had a great visit today with Dr. Davis! My cat has major anxiety/stranger danger, so I was definitely dreading this appointment - but it went so much better than I expected. They did an awesome job getting her checked out quickly, took time to answer all my questions, & I feel really confident with the level of care she received. So glad to have found such a great local vet!

Fantastic experience: Petfolk was able to accommodate our cat Spark even when we were running late. We trust them with our pet. Everytime they’ve treated him he’s gotten better.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience on my first visit for my sick cat. Very friendly, patient, knowledgeable and caring staff!!!!
Negative experience: I came yesterday to get my 1 year old adopted shelter cat checked for blood in his urine and stool and also vomiting after every meal. Despite reading online that it could be caused by stress in a new environment (he has only been home from the shelter for two days) i wanted to make sure. The vet gave him an x-ray and came back to tell me they found a foreign object or plastic in his stomach and even pointed to a dark spot on the x-ray where they thought was the piece of plastic. I told them that i cat proofed my bathroom and there was no way he couldve gotten plastic in his stomach in the time i got him and the vet immediately started to suspect that the shelter was at fault and that my cat must have swallowed it in their care. They quoted me $2-3K in surgery to get the "plastic" removed and told me he only had a few days before he was certain to die. I was left hyperventilating and sobbing in the room while having to pull out my card to pay the crazy $400 X-ray fee. They weren't open for surgery that day so I decided to go to CARE Charlotte ER and thank god they did a second X-ray and found NO PLASTIC! Verdict was; he was just gassy and stressed (something I had found by doing a quick Google search at the beginning!) CARE was kind enough to waive the x-ray fee which was half of what Petfolk quoted me. CARE gave me gentle food and probiotics and my cat hasnt vomited since and hes more lively than ever. Petfolk runs their clinic out of a TINY retail studio in a shopping area and the place is designed like a high-end spa. Clearly, they spend more in their marketing and appearance than hiring actual competent veterinarians who should know the difference between literal PLASTIC and gas in a cats stomach. Not only that, but I had to download and register on their personal mobile app to see my invoice! They care about money and appearances first before anything.

The vet I saw (Dr.Bichai) was very mindful about expenses and making sure we were doing what was necessary without getting all these extra tests. One step at a time. Fantastic experience: I would like to share that Mitzi has a new veterinarian! We recently had to find a new doctor for her after her previous one departed from the practice. We ultimately decided that Petfolk was an excellent fit for us. The facility is exceptionally clean and boasts state-of-the-art amenities in an attractive, modern office. Our cat, who is 18 years old and has several health concerns, receives, without a doubt, the finest medical care in town from her doctors at South Park Petfolk. We are delighted with the positive atmosphere, as well as the convenience of being able to contact a member of the medical team as frequently as necessary. They provide us with 24/7 chat support for our concerns and ensure Mitzi is scheduled promptly if she needs to be seen. These wonderful, intelligent individuals have been a true blessing to us. As retirees, we also appreciate the discounts offered in the membership package we have. Reasonable veterinarian bills are a welcome change from other practices we have used in the past. I encourage you to consider contacting them if you are seeking attentive and compassionate care for your beloved pet, as I was.

Fantastic experience: I was so fortunate that the clinic was open on a Sunday before a business trip for me. I didn’t want to board my baby without his bordatella, so we had to go. Everyone was so friendly and nice, and I was happy to get that taken care of!

Fantastic experience: Petfolk was amazing! Got me an appointment super quick. I got there early and they got me in and out. My nurse was super friendly and personable. The doctor was friendly as well and treated my baby Zion (a cat) with extreme care. She felt comfortable and overall we had a great visit.
Fantastic experience: The vet had a very calming demeanor and explained all the details of my cats health. The vet tech was also very good with my anxious cat.
Negative experience: First and foremost, Jenn is amazing. She’s the tech who held my hand through this entire fiasco and was a phenomenal intermediary between me and the internal review board. My dog now has heart worms AND Lyme disease because of this facility’s negligence. I’m making this review short because it has been a living hell to deal with for the last 3 months. I got my pup from a rescue shelter where she was verified negative for heart worms. I then brought her here for an establishment of care visit and explicitly requested heart worm check. No labs were drawn. I then brought her back 3 months later for another “establishment of care” visit where they did a comprehensive panel of labs - all of which should have been done at the first visit as I requested - and her heart worm and Lyme disease tests came back positive. $1,500 more in additional testing that the vet wouldn’t help offset in any way, shape or form. They took an entire month to conduct an internal review and literally sent me an email saying they wouldn’t refund, attached my dog’s complete medical record and said “ Our priority remains ensuring that [dog] receives appropriate ongoing care. To support a smooth transition, we have included [dog’s] medical records should you wish to establish care with another veterinary provider.” No attempt to keep my dog or me as customers. Just shooing me out the door. It made me laugh, to be honest. I just filled a malpractice case with the NC Veterinary board of medicine. I will commend how kind and polite all the techs and providers have been, but that only goes so far when there is blatant negligence and malpractice present along with zero attempt to remedy their wrongdoing.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough great things about the crew at petfolk southpark. They quite literally saved my cats life. Thank you to Dr. Davis, Dr. Bichai and all of the vet techs for treating my baby and I with care and kindness.
Negative experience: You know an experience has to be bad when you go out of your way to write a review. When my ex and I moved to South Charlotte, we tried to pick a vet closer to us rather than trek uptown to see our old vet. Petfolk's hours were a draw and a friend told us they'd had a good experience, especially highlighting their text line. Most of the vet techs I've dealt with there are great and the vets are personable enough. However, the prices are absolutely outrageous. The quality of the surgery and service has been questionable at best. We had decided to find a new vet once we finished up our membership year (because for $200 a year, you can almost save money but not nearly as much as you would by just going elsewhere). Then the membership auto-renewed before we remembered to cancel, and we were stuck for another year. Then we broke up. And now Petfolk can't seem to figure out how to separate our dog's profiles, causing us to have to play phone tag back and forth when the last thing we want to do is talk to each other. The South Park staff don't seem to have any control over this and I keep getting forwarded to tech or management. There are always excuses for why no progress has been made and despite "making a note of it in the system" they continue to contact my ex for my dog and me for his. To add additional salt to the wound, a recent surgery was not healing well and the staples popped out, resulting in a trip to an emergency vet while away from Charlotte. The emergency vet read me the riot act about how poorly it appeared my dog's surgery was handled and encouraged me to change vets. I tell everyone I can now, the accessibility through text and weekend hours may be great (and it truly is) but it is not worth the extra cost or poor quality.
Fantastic experience: Petfolk vets are always very attentive to my cats, thorough in their exams, gentle in their handling of my fur babies. 10/10 satisfied.
Fantastic experience: We got a very convenient same-day appointment and everyone was so kind. The doctor explained everything he was doing and the nurse also explained how it would all work for our cat's checkup, vaccines and tests. It was a great experience for Iris too.

Fantastic experience: Just had an amazing experience at this veterinary clinic! The place has this perfect blend of upscale vibe but the staff and veterinarians are super down to earth. My hound absolutely loved everyone there – they made him feel so welcome and comfortable that he didn’t even realize he was getting his vaccines! Fantastic experience: Best place ever. Highly recommend the membership if you are at the vets more than two times a year it basically pays for itself. Easy to book last minute appointments and always friendly. They take care of our big boy Dizzie Gillespie and our baby Trout.
Fantastic experience: Piper saw Dr Bichai again today for a wellness check and he was excellent. Piper is 17 and has several health issues (heart, kidneys, arthritis, growths). After her routine check, he spent a lot of time with me explaining her general health assessment and the status of her health issues and what I can do to help with each one.
Fantastic experience: I found a stray kitten at my school I teach at. My mom and I found this vet that had an appointment available. Yay! We were able to have her tested for FLV/AIDS, dewormed, and distemper vax. Vet said she looked good. She was hungry and tired. She slept for quite while. We have 4 grown cat babies at home already. She is fitting right in!

Fantastic experience: Setting up and appointment with Petfolk was very easy. There was a lot of availability and we were able to have our dog checked out quickly. The staff had us in a room instantly and had us diagnosed and taken care of in no time. The doctor didn't explain as much while he was doing the exam (or rather, he used more technical terms we didn't understand). That said, once he finished the exam and he had a treatment plan he explained everything very thoroughly and allowed us to ask any questions we needed. We will definitely take our pets here again if we have an urgent need!

Fantastic experience: Our dog loves going to Petfolk! Dr. Davis is so gentle and thorough with our puppy. He even let my kids listen to puppy’s heartbeat and explained what he was doing so they could learn and be part of his care.

Negative experience: Learned my lesson. I will never take our cat to anyone but our own trusted and knowledgeable veterinarian. Our cat was fine except she seemed to have an ear mite problem. I couldn't get her in to see our regular vet so I made an appointment with Petfolk. What a mistake. They flushed her ears, said she had an infection ~ not an ear mite problem ~ and sent us home with some ear drops. Within an hour or two, she was stumbling, off balance, and falling over. Her equilibrium was shot. Our Petfolk vet appointment was on July 14. Now, on August 13, she is STILL unsteady. Plus, she has been refusing to eat and requires doses of Mirataz. This ordeal has lasted over a month and there is no end in sight ~ despite weekly visits with our own vet. We're very concerned that we may lose our beloved cat. So. Think twice or thrice before entrusting your pet to Petfolk.
Fantastic experience: Today was my second time bringing my kitten in for all the kitten shots and check ups. Everyone there is so friendly and nice. They are up front and honest about pricing which is important to me. The space is also really pretty and clean! Very happy with my experiences so far!
Fantastic experience: I brought my cat in for a same-day appointment and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was friendly, respectful, and welcoming, and they took great care of my cat. We were seen quickly, the issue was addressed thoroughly, and he’s now on a treatment plan that gives me peace of mind. I really appreciated how kind and professional everyone was—definitely a five-star visit!

Fantastic experience: For second time Petfolk has been a blessing in my life. I can’t imagine my Mia going to a different location for her surgery. In the last two years we had to perform twice a stones bladder removal. This has been a horrible time in my life but this office the one in Sardis Rd has been more than helpers. They are a blessing in my baby’s life. The way they treat her, the way the listen to me, the way they behaved even when I was late to pick her up (SORRY). Yesterday I had one of the most horribles days of my life but without Petfolk definitely I couldn’t be able to wake up today feeling grateful and thankful to God for save again my sweet 9 years old Shitzu MIA. Negative experience: We had a 5:30 PM appointment and were running a bit late, so we called ahead to check whether we needed to cancel or if it was still okay to come. The staff told us that if we arrived by 5:45, we’d be fine. Based on that, we drove nearly 20 miles and reached at 5:43, only to be told that the doctor was already packing up and we’d have to reschedule. That was incredibly frustrating. If they had just been honest on the call, we could have canceled and booked an appointment somewhere else for the same day, or tried to get a later slot at this clinic. What made it worse is that we have a Petfolk subscription, so we trusted the service to be more accommodating when our pet needed urgent care. Because of this, our puppy missed out on the care he really needed. It is honestly disappointing that a doctor would not spare even a few minutes for a sick puppy, especially when we were told it would be okay. Very unprofessional behavior and a total lack of empathy.
Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Melissa and Dr. Davis were kind, thoughtful, and informative, and I left with some great tips to keep my girls healthy. The office was really clean, and they got us in and out quickly with exactly what we needed. They’re also completely transparent with pricing, and explain things along the way. This is going to be our permanent pet care home.
Fantastic experience: I have brought my cat to this location and now a kitten that we rescued while on vacation after a suspected car accident. Petfolk always treats us like family and takes the time to answer all of our questions. They believed our kitten could fight to regain a chance at life and they do everything to keep us informed. They keep track of medical records from other facilities too! The petfolk plan is amazing, such an asset. Every doctor and medical assistant, nurse, administrative staff are all so attentive and kind. I strongly recommend you put your trust in them, your fur babies will be grateful. The rooms are quiet, the environment is peaceful, they keep things affordable. There is nothing bad I can say about this place.

Fantastic experience: Wow, what a service for our 10 year old Goldendoodle that has developed a couple new lumps just under the skin. Found out no concerns and just keep an eye them. The service was super friendly and our dog loved the VET and Veterinarian. Superb service today and back again in December for annual visit. In and out in 30 min.

Fantastic experience: I visited this location on 5/26 due to my toy poodle experiencing ear issues. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and professional. Negative experience: I took a loved one’s dog to this vet recently and was so disappointed with the quality of care and the environment. The back is visible when you walk in and from one of the patient rooms, putting the dogs in the kennels/ones getting medical procedures on display. The patient rooms have sliding doors so they don’t fully close- pets can hear and smell every person/pet coming in and out. My dog figured out how to push the door open with her head and kept trying to get out because she was scared. When the vet was in the room, this happened and the dog’s head was in the way still when the vet closed the door. She didn’t even apologize even though I was mortified. There was also not a good system in place for keeping records. I had to remember what was done and what she was given because the vet didn’t know (she’d been there weeks prior). Also the vet tech trying to get a blood sample poked her 3 times and then had to ask someone else to do it. The dog was being very good and still, so she just wasn’t equipped to be taking blood. The already anxious dog had a horrible time and so did I. I couldn’t believe after looking them up how mainly all the reviews were good. I wonder if mine will stay up. Don’t take your baby here.

Fantastic experience: Amazing team. Have been coming here for about two years and it’s been our favorite vet experience. The team is so nice, genuinely cares about the animals, and they’re always very quick providing test results. The app also makes it all very easy to manage/track.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing doctors at different Petfolk locations for a few years now; every single location and every single doctor and technician I’ve spoken with has been excellent. I’ve had to make calls outside of business hours— early in the mornings and late at night— and there’s always been someone to answer my questions and treat me and my car with the appropriate concern and deference. I really, genuinely can’t recommend this vet enough. They’re honest about pricing and will give you the best recommendation for your pet, not their wallets.
Negative experience: I brought my indoor cat to Petfolk because I was concerned about a serious anal gland issue. What I experienced was pure negligence. Instead of performing a proper examination, the vet claimed my cat had tapeworms based on something picked up off a dirty towel — not even off my cat herself. When I asked if the towel was clean, they tried to wipe it off, but it was obvious that the underside had a brown stain resembling feces and was already covered in hair before my cat was ever placed there. Despite this, they made a diagnosis based on debris from a filthy towel instead of a direct examination. To make it worse, even after claiming tapeworms were the issue, Petfolk failed to prescribe any deworming medication — they only gave flea treatment, leaving my cat still infected. If tapeworms were truly the diagnosis, the ABSOLUTE priority should have been treating the actual parasite. This visit showed an alarming lack of thoroughness, care, and professionalism. Now I’m forced to buy the correct dewormer myself because Petfolk did not fully treat my cat. I would not trust Petfolk with any animal’s health based on this experience. If you want real veterinary care and basic competency, take your pet somewhere else.
Fantastic experience: The reception was quick and friendly. They saw me and my pet to a room right away. The intake process was seamless and thorough. They made concessions to help me with my very large pet. They showed genuine concern for my pet and his demeanor during the exam. It went very well and I would not hesitate to go back.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience for our newly adopted Beagle puppy Noodle . Noodle recently had spade surgery and the medical attention given to her was exceptional. She is recovering at home and doing extremely well .

Fantastic experience: AMAZING experience! My cat was acting strange and sick on a Sunday morning and I scheduled an appt and was able to see a vet an hour later! They did not try to overcharge me at all and they treated me and my fur baby so well. The team was extremely professional and helpful. They were patient with me when telling me the steps in helping my cat and when they gave me her medicine they even wrote my cat’s name in the bag in cute lettering with stars around it! Such a good experience! I can tell truly how much this team love animals and their job and have such a passion for treating our fur babies because they know how much they mean to us.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Petfolk. Initially went here as an urgent appointment for my dog who has a UTI, but will 100% be coming back to them. My dog was reactive in the examining room due to the steroids she is currently on-which made me incredibly anxious. Thank you to Sydney and especially Dr. Bernadetto for taking her genuine time to comfort me and provide not just a quick solution to the problem, but a long term plan in place- as my dog has been having unexplained medical issues these past few months. She was so compassionate and it really made me feel more comfortable to have a plan in place for diagnosing her. It’s really nice to feel like someone is genuinely concerned about your pup and wants to see it through until we get answers. Definitely go see them!

Fantastic experience: The Veterinary Technician and Veterinarian were beyond fabulous with my Athena today. She is 8 years old and has anxiety and today she was treated with so much love and care by the technician Katlyn and the veterinarian at PetFolks. She had to have her blood taken and both technicians were awesome and extremely patient with her. Both the veterinarian and the technicians worked with her on the floor, which is huge for a dog that has anxiety. The technician answered 2000 questions I had about everything from treats to harness. I never felt like I was bothering them. I left feeling seen and heard and my Athena was wagging her tail as we left.
Fantastic experience: Dr Bichai and the staff saw my dog at the last minute of the day for a dog bite wound. They were so kind, attentive and provided swift care for him saving me a trip to the ER. Fantastic experience: Over the last year, I have brought in my puppy (currently 10 mos) since I got him at 8 weeks for multiple routine check ups and an allergic reaction & just recently brought in my senior cat (17 yo.) Fantastic experience: Our experience bringing Hashbrown was great! We arrived 15 minutes early to our appointment, and we were seen immediately! The facility is very nice and clean. Both doctors were so nice and friendly to our kitty, and he got a couple treats too The vet gave us super helpful advice and recommendations for Hashbrown going forward, and on top of everything else, we were able to get him treated while we were there and it was affordable. A great experience and a huge relief as it was our cat’s first time at the vet- it couldn’t have gone better. Huge thanks to Petfolk and the staff, we will be back!!
