Fantastic experience: All Star has great staff and doctors. I have been taking my dogs there since 2007 because of their genuine concern for their patients. All of the doctors are awesome. They are a bit expensive but I trust in their care and opinions.

He had hurt himself recently by jumping off a bench and was truly needing medical attention. I was so amazed, and Thankful that they got me in so quickly but even more shocked when the vet knelt down and my dog went right to him!!! My boy knew I brought him in looking to help him and knew he could trust him. I've never met a vet out here who knew just how to handle him and I can not Thank Dr. Matt enough!!!! Negative experience: On my first vet visit, they told me that the state of Arizona would not allow them to titer for the rabies vaccine when I asked. I did some research and it IS allowed. I called and explained that I felt I had been lied to, and was told that they would have me see a different vet in the same office. I made an appointment with the new doctor 3 weeks out, as that was when my dog was due for her shots. over the weekend my dogs eye started bothering her so I figured I could have them look at her eye at the same time she got her shots. I had an appointment this afternoon and they called this morning and canceled because the new doctor looked at my chart, saw in the notes that I had said I felt I lied to by the first Doctor, and now she doesn’t want to see my dog. I tried to talk to them and explain what happened and they want no part of it. Whatever happened to sitting down and having an adult conversation?!? People are so sensitive. I’ve never agreed with every doctor I’ve ever seen, and when I don’t feel I can work with them I move on to a different one. Not sure what their problem is but not only will my dog’s shots be overdue now, but I needed them to look at her eye and now I will have to go the an animal ER. Unbelievable!!!

Fantastic experience: To say we had a great experience would be an understatement. Lindy and I arrived early for his first visit, and we were immediately greeted and were told it wouldn't be a long wait. Kelly escorted us into the exam room and was well prepared. She had all of Lindy's records from his previous DVM, and she handled Lindy with the utmost care. He loves the vet so he's never a problem. After going over his vitals with me she said Dr. Ericksen would be in shortly. When she came in she treated Lindy like she knew him for all of his life. I was impressed with her compassion, and she answered all of my questions with ease. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: When you walk into All-Star animal Hospital, Monica, or one of the other wonderful ladies checks you in. Thus begin a joy for your fur baby. Our miniature dachshund, Jax, loves going to see Monica and the doctors. The doctors treat Jax with such love And care. If Jax is having a problem or issue, the doctors quickly identify what’s going on with him and recommend a treatment plan. Each and every person in All-Star animal Hospital love their job and it’s easy to see as they are happy and glad to see you. All- star animal Hospital has given us the best for our babies for the last 14 years. I highly recommend All-Star animal Hospital For you and your special babies.

Fantastic experience: moved to AZ 15 yrs ago, this is by far the best animal hospital i have been to. They take their time with the animals, are compassionate, knowledgeable and just wonderful. i had to make the decision to put one of my dogs to sleep, and there are not words for the kindness and compassion that they showed me. These are caring people, who treat the animals as if they were there own. A+++

Fantastic experience: We really loved the veterinarian, and our dog did too! They were able to get us in at our appt time, I was in and out under 25 mins, and got the answers needed regarding my dog. There are very cost effective. The front office was very friendly which made the experience that much better! I'll definitely will be making them our permanent vet!

They have so much compassion, from the techs to the vets they are just outstanding. So grateful for this office. Everyone seems to go above and beyond, Kelly the tech seems to be the one I see every single time while here and she is just so amazing. She saw me trying to get my dog who couldn’t walk out of the car and came outside (assuming I was trying to get an animal out) to help me just because she saw me through the window.Kelly and another girl helped me with my old guy, and also helped me out when we were leaving.she always calls after a procedure or an appointment that something is wrong to see how my baby is doing. Truly love this place

Negative experience: Please, before you take your pet to this hospital, read below. These workers were kind, but they failed me, and they failed my dog. My dog woke up with a huge lump on her chest and neck on Thursday morning. We were extremely worried and took her to this hospital, where they told us it seemed like it was just an injury from a fall. They did not offer any sort of scan, so we were relieved that it wasn't too bad. Instead, they gave us inflammatory medicine, and said she should be better in 2 days. 3 hours later, that lump formed into a dark purple bruise from her neck all the way down to her stomach. We took her back the next day, as it seemed like she was struggling to breathe and could not walk. They took her blood, and reassured us that she seemed fine, everything was good. Saturday morning, we got a call saying that my dog's blood platelets were low. We mentioned that she had thrown up 4 times that morning, he said it was fine. The vet explained that she still had a ways to go before she needed a blood transfusion, and that the Prednisone (steroid) prescribed would help her rebuild her platelets/immune system. She was not acting normally, but because we TRUSTED the diagnosis of the vet, we thought it was the medicine kicking in. 3 hours later, she was shaking uncontrollably, and was extremely stiff. Blood came out of her mouth, and we immediately started rushing to the emergency room. Within minutes of the car ride, she died. We believe she was internally bleeding, and because of the lack of scans done, we didn't know. With an injury and extreme bruising like this, you would think they would have offered an internal scan of some sort to make sure she was okay inside her body. She was only 6 yrs old, and this hospital failed to help her. Me and my family are all extremely hurt and shocked by this loss, and we miss our baby girl.

Fantastic experience: The Vet tech (I’m so sorry but I forgot her name!) was SO patient with our girl! She heard my concerns and was very transparent as far as her care. Dr. Erickson was AMAZING and made us feel so comfortable. We found our FUR-ever home for our fur babies!

Fantastic experience: We have had the pleasure of having many pets being cared for by Dr Matt and Dr Kara for many years. These are excellent doctors that are honest, compassionate, skilled and fair. This is hard to find and we have faithfully visited this practice for over 20 years! Today I called in with an urgent appointment of our retriever being in pain and the worries were numerous. X-rays were done, meds given, labs done with a plan and thorough exam in one fell swoop! I have worked in medicine for a good thirty years and like to acknowledge excellent work when it’s done. Thank you to the ladies in the front and back who were kind and supportive when needed. Thank you to everyone at AllStar today for being “AllStar”.

Negative experience: Brought in dog for CCL rupture and they sent us to specialist, specialist wanted $7500 to fix his leg. Asked her for advice or any other opinions.. none. Didn’t mention once could use a brace and rehabilitation fraction of the cost. Year since appointment and dog is healthy and recovered with just a brace. They’re only in it for money. Also wouldn’t give us prescription refill for other dog for his ear medication unless took a day off from work and brought him in. So stupid. Gonna find a new vet. Stay away from them, waste of time and money.

Negative experience: I witnessed one staff member half walking / half dragging a what looked like either Ill or older Irish crème across the black asphalt to them let the dog use the bathroom and not pick it up . I couldn’t believe my eyes no shoes no safe area to use the bathroom to prevent injury from the high temps . It was 5 pm and 112 degree in the air . I then seen her do this to two yorkies same exact treatment. When I went to the front of the business another staff member with another dog did the same exact thing walking a dog on the hot pavement. I tried to call and the refused to let me speak with anyone of authority .

Fantastic experience: First time there after moving to the area. One of my cats had a skin irritation. Everyone was friendly & professional. My cat was treated and the irritation went away within days. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic experience: Best experience with any vet I’ve ever been too! Took my two dogs in, one for check up and my new pup for shots and to get fixed. Very happy with each of my visits! They care and love for them as if they were their own pets. They talk you through everything and make sure that if you have any questions to just call. Have never left a vet so happy to be bring my buddies into! Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I can not say enough how much we love All Star. We have been to a couple other vets in the area and as far as care for our dogs and price we will always go to All Star. They stick to the appointment times and the people who work there are amazing.

Negative experience: I recently had an awful experience with All-Star Animal Hospital and I would give them zero stars. I had been taking my cat there for several years. Recently she had an emergency. She hadn’t eaten or drank anything for two days. When I called All-Star early in the afternoon on Thursday, April 4, 2024, to report this to them and request an urgent appointment, I was told “sorry, we can’t see your cat until Monday.” I told them she would be dead by Monday. Again, I was told there was nothing they could do and they referred me to an animal urgent care center in Surprise called Animal Medical Center. Every single time I have called that urgent care I have been told their wait time is 4-5 hours minimum. I ended up bringing her to a different urgent care called Blue Pearl in Avondale and had an absolutely horrific experience there which ended in my beloved cat’s euthanasia. Do not ever, ever take your pet to All-Star Animal Hospital in Surprise or to Blue Pearl Emergency Pet Hospital in Avondale. If you do, you will regret your decision as I do.

Fantastic experience: Our new puppy, Sweet Willie, had his first visit mid -Covid so we never got to see or personally meet anyone at All Star other than the person who took Willie inside for his checkup. Dr. Matt talked to us on the phone after his checkup and gave us a great report on the visit - Willie is a healthy, happy , outgoing puppy. The best news we could hear. Willie was returned to us curbside as happy as he went in and we are very impressed and pleased with our new vet. Our next appointment was for Willie's neutering, which always stresses out my husband. We were instructed to keep him from too much physical activity for a week after his surgery. By day two there was no holding him down. He was in the yard running around like crazy and doing back flip\rolls on our faux grass. Willie is a little Maltese with the amazing energy of a healthy, happy dog! We are new to Arizona and finding where everything is and who to choose is hit and miss. Getting a good recommendation is ideal. Our fantastic friends next door highly recommended All Star Animal Hospital. We very much look forward to meeting, in person, everyone at All Star.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciated the doctor taking the time to talk with me prior to the dental procedure for my two dogs and also her explanation of the other procedure that was to be done. She really worked with me to calm the dogs down and do what would make them most comfortable. After the procedure, the staff was excellent in explaining after-care and also following up with me the next day. They were quick to answer my questions when I called in and made me feel like my concerns were important.

Fantastic experience: We’ve taken our 2 Scotties here since we moved to SCF 3 years ago. Well, one of the dogs had a stroke and we called about euthanasia. The office was very accommodating. She was seen that morning and the whole experience was very nice. We could tell they cared and at that moment it helped tremendously. Thank you All-Star.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my beloved furry kiddos to All-Star for years. All through these years we have had to say goodbye to three, Bear our beloved Rottie, Maya my beagle daughter in June, and our Siberian husky buck three short months after Maya. With each experience the staff gave us excellent care and love, they held our hand through each painful process. I still have one baby at home that I will continue to have them care for her when she needs anything. They are truly good trustworthy people who will help you through the best of times and the worst of times with your loved pet.

Since this one is still healthy, I don't have have to see them as often. But each time I need them they have been very nice.

Fantastic experience: We are new to the area. I tried to call a different vet initially and they put me on hold for over 10 minutes, so I hung up and called here. So glad it worked out that way. My dogs seen Dr. Kara. She was wonderful! She was even able to keep my super anxious daschund fairly calm while getting ear infection meds put in his ear. She was able to see both our dogs back to back so that we didn’t need to make different appointments on different days. I felt heard and that she truly loves animals. Everyone was great from the front desk girls to the the ladies helping in the room. We will continue to use them for our dogs.

Fantastic experience: I took my Zoey to All-Star Animal Hospital this week for the first time. We recently moved out here to Sun City, Arizona from Indiana. I was hoping to be able to find a great vetenarian to take my 2 furbabies to and I sure did on my first try. My best friend referred me to All Star and I could not have been more satisfied. Everyone there treated my Zoey so good. They made both myself and my Zoey feel very good about being there. I have another furbaby besides my Zoey and I will be taking her to All-Star as well. Very professional and very caring staff. I was referred to All-Star, and I would definitely referred All-Star to everyone I know as well. When they called me the next day to check on my Zoey, that meant the world to me. I know my furbabies will be in good hands when visiting All-Star whenever needed. Fantastic experience: Everyone was so nice and welcoming on our arrival. We were seen extremely quickly, right at our appointment time. Then we met the tech and the vet who were so informative, non judgmental, comforting, and nice. They made us feel like they really care about the well being of us and our pups. Then to our surprise they told us they do complimentary nail trimming at each visit which is a huge bonus. We are so happy we chose All Star to care for our babies!

Positive experience: Dr Macey ? sp was so loving - caring for my puppy who had been bitten on her ear while I was on vacation, Unbeknownst to the people that were watching her...her ear was abscessed & terribly infected...my puppy DIDN'T cry while the Dr was cleaning out her ear...I was very impressed by her tenderness and listening ears to a concerned Mom. ....thank ❣️ you All Star ⭐Pet Hospital and Staff; Tech Kelly was so caring & helped me out to my car...I had a very sprained foot...Kelly carried Chloee to my car & helped get her settled in.. Fantastic experience: I have 1 dog and 4 cats I take to All Star Animal Hospital. They treat my animals well and with respect. My animals receive the best care with Dr Kara and Matt Ericksen. The staff is friendly and helpful. I think they are a bit pricey but for the care and convenience it's worth it. I know my fur babies are in capable hands. Update 6/17/23 I'm down to 1 dog and 2 cats and I am still going to All Star after 8 years. The staff and vets are pros. I know my animals are getting the very best care here. Finding a great Vet is like finding a good doctor. So, I thought I would update my experiences so people can make a decision about choosing a good Vet.

Fantastic experience: Took my kiddo in for a cat neuter earlier this week. Care was fantastic! Easy to do new client paperwork online, check in was a breeze, technician Alyx was super sweet, helpful and informative. Spoke with Andrea a few days later as they were curious how he is doing! Thanks All-Star for the great care! We will return!

Fantastic experience: Dr Kara Erickson is so empathetic, so kind. She really took her time with our Halo. Our vet tech was so sweet and gentle to our kitty too. I’ve seen so many vets but needed to establish care in Surprise, AZ and All-Star is by FAR the best veterinarian office we have ever been to. Halo is excited to have a new favorite vet established.

Negative experience: We have been clients of All-Star for over 10 years. Today, that is no longer the case. The unprofessional interaction and behavior from Dr. Kristen Macey was utterly disappointing. As she entered the exam room to update me on her findings, she was talking extremely loudly. I did interrupt her and say, "You're speaking really loudly." She became clearly defensive and continued speaking very loudly. She left the exam room and started LOUDLY TALKING about me and the fact that I said, "you're speaking really loud" and laughing with her co-workers. After treatment, she did not bring my pet back to the exam room. She had a co-worker bring her back which eliminated my opportunity to ask any additional care and/or medical questions. Frankly, I have zero faith that my dog was properly cared for and given her full treatment from Dr. Macey. I've requested a callback from the owner, Dr. Kara Ericksen, so I have the opportunity to share this experience with her. She was unavailable at the time of the appointment as she was in surgery. *I am dealing with some medical issues related to my hearing which I would have explained had I been given the opportunity with the Vet.

Fantastic experience: We have been going to All-Star for many years now. They are very caring and treat both animals and parents with respect and kindness. The doctors are wonderful as is the staff. They are professional, knowledgeable, caring, and friendly. After a recent visit with our dog, they called the next day to make sure all was well and to see how she was doing. When we had to put our cat to sleep, they were so kind and generous of spirit. The prices are fair and we feel do not overcharge. Thank you for your wonderful service.

Fantastic experience: My family was with our old vet (Petsmart) for 10 years since she was a puppy. Every appointment we had a new doctor and never felt truly cared for. We feel the exact opposite at All-Star. They take such amazing care of our dog and everyone here is amazing and kind and immensely appreciated. Thank you for caring for my fuzzy face!!

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my dog her since I first got her. They are always so friendly and helpful. They truly treat my dog like an All Star. Both Dr Ericksons and Dr Macey go above and beyond to offer treatment plans for my dog. My dog has several issues from allergies, recurrent UTIs, and hip dysplasia and they work together to help her live a happy healthy life. My dog LOVES going to the vet even though they are always having to poke and prod her with injections or other things but they treat her so well she doesn’t care at all. She always gets lots of love from all the staff. I totally recommend them!!

Fantastic experience: Every experience for the last 7 years has been fantastic! They are very interested in the best treatment(s) for our furry family member. Update: Yesterday we needed to put our 12 1/2 year old furry best friend to sleep. It was such a traumatic time for us. The staff at All Star were literally All Stars. They were comforting, accommodating, and professional. They love their patients.

Fantastic experience: Sammy stopped in for his shots (Bordetella Vaccine, Rabies Shot, and DA2PP) and Heart Worm Screening Test with Dr Matt Ericksen, DVM. Everyone made him feel welcome and important. He is doing great and is glad to hear that he is negative for heartworm. He also wanted you to know that he likes his new heartworm medicine. He has recommended Dr. Ericksen to all of his canine buddies.

Fantastic experience: We have used this vet for the last 5 years since we moved here. They have always been more than wonderful to us. They have always laid out any costs ahead of any procedures and given us all options. They have worked with us to make sure we are getting the best price and value for prescriptions and food. But their best service was just recently when we had to make that final sad decision. When I called in the morning to bring our precious one in for the last visit, they said to bring her in anytime we were comfortable and they would be ready for us. It was a very busy day for them but they accommodated us right away and were just so good to us....I really can't say enough good things about them. Top pick for a vet!

Fantastic experience: Have been with Drs. Kara, Matt and all their great staff for 10 years. Have referred them often. They've been with us during the fun times and the inevitable sad times of pet owners and they're so genuinely caring, it is hard to describe. When they need to refer to specialists they don't hesitate. But their team does it all. And their team does not have a revolving door and has years of service with the Drs. which reflects on the entire operation. Always joke about Dr. Kara's hair color as it changes often. Great sense of humor. Both she and Matt are just the best vets we have ever experienced in 45 years of long haired dachshunds.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful end of life services for our elder dog. They had a room waiting with a soft blanket, dim light, and nice quiet music playing. Had plenty of time to say goodbye and they didn't rush any part. They explained thoroughly the process. To our surprise, they also took an impression of her paw. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The in room assistant was great. The Vet was great, the lady at the front desk with the pink and purple hair was unfriendly, and seemed like she was out of place and did not like her job or severing the public. Asked her a few questions, she seemed uninterested and annoyed.

Fantastic experience: Everybody was so genuinely friendly and professional. So kind and patient with my kitty who was terrified. They called with updates and told me everything that I should expect and what was normal and what was not. My cat did great, had multiple teeth extracted and his recovery was as advertised. I definitely found a new medical team for my cats.

Fantastic experience: Dr Matt and Dr Kara have been OUTSTANDING vets for both my fur babies the past 10 years! When I moved from Oregon to AZ, I struggled to find quality Vet services where both my kitties felt safe (no trembling, crying, hissing, etc). A friend recommended All Star because he'd been taking his dog there for YEARS! Ever since our first appt at All Star Animal Hospital, I've been so pleased and relieved! In addition to the BEST Vets (Dr. Matt & Dr. Kara), the vet techs are stellar and so loving when interacting with my cats Bud and Molly! Fantastic experience: Everyone is always smiling and helpful. The place is very clean. Three years ago we had to put our Lulu Belle down and every one was so understanding and sympathetic. And now we have Josephine who will also be treated by the All Stars.

Fantastic experience: I just took my dog here for the first time. We are new to the area and I had been searching for a new animal hospital to take my baby for his annual checkup. All of the vet hospitals in the area were booked about a month out but All-Star was at least friendly and helpful when I told them how skiddish my dog is. When we finally went to our appointment they were so patient and gentle with my dog and although he was still very nervous the visit was so much less stressful then I thought it would be. We have found our new vet hospital for sure. These guys are FREAKING AWESOME!!!

Fantastic experience: They took such good care of kenneling our Miss Mitzi! Definitely going back when we need to kennel her again. The old girl (13) had a nice big comfy bed to sleep on and they took her on several walks!

Fantastic experience: My dog had been very sick for days and our regular vet like most vets were booked. All-Star was able to get me in. Very polite and friendly on the phone as well as when we came in. Place was very clean and sports themed with a warm friendly vibe. Was immediately taken to a room and Angel, the sweetest tech did the temp, info etc and with barely any waiting the vet came in. He was very kind and knowledgeable asking and answering questions. Got my dog set up with a RX and some advice on care and feeding and no unnecessary tests thank God! Angel had the RX ready to go with and the fee was beyond fair! We were in and out in very little time. My dog immediately started feeling better. I'm thinking of changing both my dogs to this Vet even though it's 20 mins farther. Very good staff and animal hospital

Fantastic experience: We've had two instances where our dog was injured/attacked and the other one was him itching so badly, he was bleeding. Our normal vet couldn't see us for weeks and weeks even though I've had 2 other dogs with them for 14 years (small fortune spent there)! I found All-Star and they took care of our great dane, Clark, right away! They were amazing! They are reasonable with prices and very friendly. I highly recommend them!
