Fantastic experience: Dr. Alex Huhman is, without exaggeration, the best veterinarian I have ever met. She has been absolutely perfect at every single appointment with Pepper—always going above and beyond to make sure we had clear answers, real guidance, and complete peace of mind. What sets Dr. Huhman apart is her rare mix of expertise, proactive care, and genuine humanity. It was during a simple routine exam—because she’s thorough and always looking out for what others might miss—that she identified an issue that ultimately led to Pepper’s cancer diagnosis. In such a delicate and heartbreaking moment, she was steady, compassionate, and incredibly supportive. She took the time to answer every question, explain everything clearly, and ensure we never felt alone or rushed. After 11 years with my dog, I can honestly say I have never encountered a veterinarian with this level of compassion, care, and dedication. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Dr. Huhman is the only veterinarian I recommend without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: There is nothing more beautiful and comforting than when your dog LOVES the people at their vet/boarding facility, and that’s exactly my experience! My dog forgets all about me when I drop him off for boarding and I have the peace of mind of also knowing he is with his vet! The staff is incredible and loving, professional and thorough!! I have had some not so great experiences trying to find the best vet and boarder for my fur baby and Powers Ferry Animal Hospital has been my biggest blessing! ❤️

Fantastic experience: We have a stray cat at our Corporate Office that we've been feeding for 15 years. In January, we were able to bring her inside for the winter, and she never went back out. Last week, she stopped eating, and we noticed some lumps on her. Turned out to be Cancer, and we had to say goodbye to our Tortie. PFAH and Dr. Fallon were so compassionate and caring during this very difficult time. They went above and beyond in every way, and we're so thankful for them!

Fantastic experience: It took me a little while to research vet offices after moving to Atlanta last month, and I decided to go with Powers Ferry AH after reading reviews. I took my fur baby to an appointment with Dr. Hobby and could not have asked for a better experience. The thing I liked most is that she really focused in on my cat's specific health issue, while completing a full head to toe assessment. I have taken her to 3 different vets for her chin acne, and pretty much leave with her getting an antibiotic and a steroid injection and calling it a day. Each time, the acne improves only for a couple days. Dr. Hobby spent ample time with Kira and me, discussing different treatment options, and giving me different suggestions to help combat the persistent skin issue. As a healthcare worker myself (although for humans), I really appreciated that she explained her reasoning behind being hesitant on the treatment interventions that I felt were appropriate, giving me more insight as to why it was not the best option for my girl at this time. She spent about 20-25 minutes with us, and as a nurse myself, I can attest to that much face time with a doctor in today's world doesn't happen often. I am super thankful for her time, and I left knowing that I have found the right veterinarian for my animals in the city I now call home.

Fantastic experience: We moved here 3 years ago, and have seen several vets at Powers Ferry Animal Hospital. They are all excellent! Our regular vet at PFAH has been Dr. Manack. I can't even begin to tell you the outstanding care and compassion she showed our dog, who recently passed away at 17. Dr. Manack and all the vets gave our old girl a good quality of life for her last years. And for that I am eternally grateful. The staff and everyone I have ever encountered at PFAH have been very friendly and top notch. I highly recommend them.

Instead of just giving her meds and sending her home, she listened carefully to the history I reported and based on that, she ordered X-rays and found a foreign body that could have killed my sweet pup had it not been found. I can’t thank her enough! And the entire team at PFAH was kind and supportive. Lovely veterinary practice.

Fantastic experience: The staff here is not only incredibly competent in caring for my dog, they are also very kind to him. Several years ago Dr. Andy Smith was incredibly capable in treating our golden lab who had a rare autoimmune disease. Fantastic experience: It’s taken us a long time to leave this review, but we should have left so many. Dr. Manack welcomed us into the practice when we got Zephyr almost 9 yrs ago. I was so sure they were sick of me calling them over every little thing, but they were always so loving and cheerful and supportive. Even when I called after Zephyr ate poison ivy while I was half asleep taking him to potty at 3am. This last year Zephyr got diagnosed with cancer and eventually passed after a stroke. It was such a rough year. Dr. Hobby saw us through. So many care calls. So much patience. The only way we’d use another vet practice is if we move out of the Atlanta area. Thankyou for all your love and support. We’ll be back with future pets. :)

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of PFAH for over 2 years and have had an amazing experience with my senior cat as Dr Huhman cared for him like her own pet and took steps to make sure we approached his surgery with extra care. My kitty loved Dr Huhman and staff and he was cared for by her/ them throughout the rest of his life. I brought my new kitten in a few days ago for his first visit and have nothing but positive things to say about the care this amazing clinic provides. I've been to a lot of different vets trying to find a doctor who really takes the time to treat me and my dog like we're "not just another patient and parent." She is so kind and so incredibly thorough. My pup is now a senior (12-13 years old) and I feel very blessed that she's in the hands of Dr. Huhman... It has taken a weight off of my shoulders!

Fantastic experience: Best vet practice! We've been taking cats here for over 20 years. Sometimes if it's an emergent problem I need to see a vet that isn't the "main doctor" for that cat and every time I meet a new vet I am pleasantly surprised that they feel like I can 100% trust them like I've known them the whole 20+ years. The people who work as techs and the front office people all are friendly, positive, and helpful. They all really do care, it's not just a slogan. They follow up and return calls. and it's very clean and organized. Would and have recommended to anyone.

Fantastic experience: We have brought a few kitties to PFAH, and they are the best pet care team I’ve experienced across multiple cities & states. Even seeing multiple doctors, the quality of care and love given by each has been equal. Currently our cats see Dr. Berkowitz, who is absolutely delightful and has great insight and knowledge that makes us comfortable to continue seeking her care in any situation that may come up.

They have given me longer quality time with each of my cats due to their excellent care. They are very kind to both my cats and me, with a great deal of empathy. Fantastic experience: This was our first time going to the vet since having moved from Miami-so we were nervous because we are still fairly new to the area and fortunately we haven’t had a need for a vet. So, we were very thorough with our search, which lead us to Powers Ferry AH. It was super easy to make an appointment and they had appointments available as of the next day. The receptionist was very kind, I went in alone as my dog is dog reactive and she told me that there was a room open that we could wait in, instead of waiting in the lobby knowing there were other appointments coming in soon. The vet tech was incredibly sweet to my dog and was were amiable towards us, as was the veterinarian. Overall very happy experience-thank you!!

Positive experience: Very satisfactory visit. I love my vet. I dislike that the support staff is trained to ask me about whether I want additional services before I have a chance to discuss it with the doctor. The practice seems to be trending toward more marketing, and less individualized care for each pet.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hobby is an amazing Veterinarian! My dog is a rescue Doberman, and he had severe "heart worms" and later "shakey head syndrome." She went out of her way to find the latest treatments and help me with both conditions. Now he is a very healthy boy thanks to Dr Hobby.

Fantastic experience: Dr Huhman, Dr Hobby and the whole team at PFAH is so caring! My sweet rescue pup was found to have pneumonia within a week of bringing him home. She has been very dedicated to getting him well and has worked us in on many days accommodating my schedule. She even checks in on her day off. I feel very lucky to have such a kind doctor who is so committed to her patients and their humans.

Fantastic experience: One of my biggest worries is not that Cocopuff will get sick or have an accident but that it will be when PFAH is closed. That’s how much faith, respect, confidence, love we have for everyone at Powers Ferry Animal Hospital.

Fantastic experience: Dr Huhman is fantastic. We just moved to Atlanta from Alabama and hated having to find a new vet but we hit the jackpot! She is so great with our sweet girl and us too. She makes time to go over everything and answers any and all questions. She is very responsive anytime we have needed anything. She worked us in on a Saturday to make sure our dog got the medications she needed because she was not eating. I highly recommend Dr Huhman and am so thankful that we found her. The entire staff is wonderful as well. Everyone is so friendly and helpful!

Fantastic experience: Second part: rather than OTC glucosomine Dasequin would be a big help long term for his mobility…and at 13 he still jumps on the bed and gets the zoomies. Dr. Jeanette Hobby has held my hand in learning how to manage his recently diagnosed Type 1 diabetes w explanations, visuals and follow up phone calls. Conscious of costs too, sometimes saying a test may not be necessary, let’s wait a day or two before deciding, then no additional charge if you need to go back for it. The compassion these folks have shows in everything they do.

Fantastic experience: I just had a fantastic visit moth my cat Pete! He was not the best behaved , Dr. Hobby was still able to get the annual done. She is calm helpful and clear in explaining what was going on with Pete. I highly recommend this practice and Dr.Hobby.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a client at Powers Ferry Animal Hospital for years with multiple pets, and experience with 3 veterinarians over time. The veterinarians and vet techs are knowledgeable and skilled (including with difficult pets!), and the front office staff is smart, efficient, and compassionate. PFAH is a good place!!! Oh, and costs are similar or less than other animals hospitals I know of.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my beloved pets to PFAH for over 10 years. The staff & vets are top notch and can handle any situation. I decided to take my pet to PFAH when I knew something was wrong but was being told over & over that his condition was bc of old age. Low and behold PFAH listened to his heart and immediately recommended an xray. Thank God for them bc it saved his life! I trust them with the health & wellbeing of all my babies. Fantastic experience: I recently took my furry kid to see Dr. Alex Huhman for an ear infection. Dr. Huhman had previously done dental work for her and was already familiar with her health history and behavior, so I didn’t have to explain much. Before the appointment, we were given Otomax to manage the issue until Monday. During the visit, Dr. Huhman gently cleaned her ears and explained that she was already in the process of healing. What really stood out was the thoughtful follow-up—despite it being a simple procedure, Dr. Huhman still called afterward to check on how she was doing. That kind of care means so much. I truly appreciate her dedication and support—so glad my pup is in such good hands!

Fantastic experience: Powers Ferry Animal Hospital feels like extended family at this point, from the front desk that knows my number. We mainly go to Dr. Huhman and she always has my hounds’ best interest and provides rationales for procedures, which really makes us feel cared for. We’ve also seen Drs. Fallon, Berkovitz, and Hobby and they’ve loved on the Zhang hounds too! I like to say, “see y’all soon…but not too soon!”

Fantastic experience: PFAH has takes such great care of our 4 legged family member. Always easy to get appointments when necessary and have handled of the routine and emergency care perfectly.

Negative experience: Big dog owner beware… I was excited about this vet because we were told they excelled in treating large dogs as I have a Rottweiler and did not want a vet that was afraid of him. Vet immediately recommended muzzling and sedating our dog when at the vet and in public. Our dog has no history of violence, despite being afraid of vets, he has received shots and surgery from Fulton county animal shelter without issue. This was frustrating but we returned due to convenience. I brought my dog in to get shots and have blood taken today. My dog was returned to me bleeding profusely from his chin and we were told that he hit his head on the wall. I took my dog to my truck to look at the wound and returned inside to get gauze to clean him as he was still dripping blood. I felt like there extreme lack of care and patience when treating our dog. I understand others have had very positive experiences but we have found this vet is not for people who’s animals are “aggressive breeds” or for people who’s animals require a level of care above a vet who just wants to get patients in and out. Do not expect a high level of care just because of the higher price.

Fantastic experience: We love Powers Ferry Animal Hospital! We got our puppy in September 2024 and since then they have taken very good care of us and our little guy. From check ups, to nail trims, even to his neutering surgery, we trust them. We see Dr.Hobby and she is very personable and it feels like she really cares about and remembers us and our puppy (Not to mention he loves her!!!!). They have our business forever. We started with Dr Miller with our first dog, but have seen Dr Manack over the last few months with our senior dog. She has been compassionate and realistic with us.

Fantastic experience: It was our first time seeing Dr. Scott Miller for our dog’s annual check up. He made great suggestions like changing our dog food brand for better weight control. He spent plenty of time with us & never felt rushed. They even clipped nails which was done efficiently and quickly without a return visit. Dr Miller’s manner was welcoming & quite pleasant.

Fantastic experience: This place and staff are fantastic! I was specifically looking for Dr. Hobby, who had treated my last dog at a different vet's office. I was so thrilled when I found her here! Then i read all of the reviews of the facility and the rest of the staff and found it was exactly what I always wanted. The staff accommodated my dog and I to enter through a side door, as I had a rescued pit bull type dog, and didn't know his temperament. He loved this place and the staff! They were courteous, friendly and loving to him. They provided a comprehensive exam and recommendations. I wish I had a doctor's office for myself just like this!

Fantastic experience: We recently adopted a miniature dachshund, and five of our friends highly recommend Powers Ferry Animal Hospital. Our friends have varying breeds and sizes of dogs. We were so impressed with Dr. Fallon and Powers Ferry Animal Hospital! She was incredibly thorough and was very patient answering all of our questions. Fantastic experience: I could not recommend a vet clinic more than I do recommend PFAH. We went from overpriced and poor quality care for my animals to unbelievable care for a very fair and inexpensive price. I brought in a kitten days after an emergency adoption and not only did they see me right away but the Doctor herself called me the next day to check in on our new kitten and our dog that had been seen there. We see Dr. Alex Human and I don’t want anyone else ever caring for my animals again. Only PFAH.

Fantastic experience: The front office staff and techs are always polite and super helpful. Dr Manack is amazing. Her demeanor and delivery is spot on, we always trust her advice and are so glad we found here when we moved to Sandy Springs 5 years ago. She takes wonderful care of our senior Great Dane.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this place . After struggling to find answers for my cat’s health issues, this clinic quickly and correctly diagnosed her condition. Their expertise and attention to detail were evident from the start, and it was such a relief to finally have a clear plan for her care. What truly sets them apart, though, is their compassion and follow-through. The veterinarian calls me every week to check on her progress, making sure she’s doing well and answering any questions I have. This level of care and dedication is rare and so appreciated.I feel completely confident in trusting them with my pet’s health. They go above and beyond for both pets and their owners. I drive 40 minutes to this place ! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had been going to the same vet for almost 30 years and had become very unhappy with the service. A friend recommended Dr. Huhman at PFAH and so I took my cat to her. I can’t explain how wonderful the experience was from the parking to the facility to the front desk and tech staff and especially Dr. Huhman. I felt like everyone really cared about my furbaby. I wish I had made the switch years ago!

Fantastic experience: I honestly can’t say enough good things about PFAH. I started bringing my puppy to see Dr. Huhman in August as an 11 pound, 8 week old baby from the shelter. In the past three months, we’ve seen Dr. Huhman and Dr. Fallon for various things. From the beginning, Dr. Huhman and Dr. Fallon have been so kind, answering all questions with patience & reassuring that everything will be okay as I’m freaking out as a first time dog owner. Dr. Huhman & Dr. Fallon both follow up after every visit to check on Lou and make sure the medicines he was prescribed have been helping and he’s feeling better. Most recently, they wrote a letter to my insurance company to try to help with a denied claim getting overturned. Louie is now 5 months old, happy, and healthy & absolutely loves going to the vet. PFAH truly cares about their patients and loves them as their own. I’m so lucky to have found them and couldn’t imagine trusting another practice with my baby.

Fantastic experience: We have been bringing our dog and two cats here for years and I continue to be impressed with the empathy, kindness, and quality of care we consistently receive. We moved to the other side of the city about 2 years ago and continue to drive to PFAH for care because they are just that fantastic. The reception staff are friendly, the vet techs are super helpful, and I can’t say enough good things about the rock star veterinarians at this practice (in particular, Dr. Miller has always been great, Dr. Manack is one of the kindest humans I think I’ve ever met, and Dr. Huhman is an incredible doctor who consistently goes above and beyond). This practice is truly wonderful!

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give multiple 5-star reviews. Im a first-time pet owner, so I’m still learning the ropes of how to take care of my two kitten babies. Powers Ferry AH has been a HUGE help in not only making sure my little ones are healthy, but also that I am equipped to take care of them well. Every single member of the staff, from reception to vet tech to doctor, is warm and friendly to me and the kitties. They answer all of my questions, and even the way they hold and talk to my little ones shows how much they genuinely love animals. After one of my kittens got spay surgery done at the shelter, I had to rush her to PFAH to close up her re-opened incision. I showed up at 5:58 (they close at 6) and they made sure my baby was safe, healthy, and comfortable. They did not judge, or rush, or act annoyed in any way. I’ll never forget how they went above and beyond for me and for my little one. I can’t recommend this place enough!
