Fantastic experience: They truly, truly went above and beyond for me and my cat when he had to come in suddenly for a possible block. I feel very lucky to know this team and I have so much gratitude and appreciation for each of them. They know how to stay busy but how to remain compassionate and respectful no matter the situation. The entire event of having to take your pet to the ER is stressful, Dr. Conway and Mel kept communication with me and didn’t make me feel like I was just adding to their workload. I felt prioritized and that they were glad I had brought my cat in for help. Even with all my questions, they took the time to answer me. That kind of support and empathy is something that I will continuously recommend to other owners when they need help because it’s what separates this clinic/ER from others.

Fantastic experience: This evening we had to take our senior dog Caeser to the vet in a medical emergency and the care team was AMAZING. Please forgive me if I misspelled or got names wrong , but super special kudos to everyone who took care of him. Jenny and Priscilla for helping him immediately as soon as we got there. Dr Rauch had the kindest demeanor we have ever experienced. I believe her name was Jordan, inserted IV into caeser and she walked us through the whole process. Losing a fur baby is the hardest thing we have ever experienced, but Town and Country made us feel like family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Honestly, stumbled across this place in efforts to rush my lil dude to a vet after a late night tussle with a porcupine (the porcupine is fine). Staff responded in a timely manner and had him taken in almost immediately. He was out in less than two hours. The staff was superb at the least. They were able to bring humor to a grim situation, they were able to explain the procedure and the pricing in a thorough and clear way, they were upfront about the costs, even the processing of checking out was immaculate. Oh, and they had some of the best chilled water ever which is a total relief when your furry friend has been subject to such traumatic event. From the bottom of my heart. I thank each and every one of you for existing and being there that evening. I'm wishing you all one million dollars (and more). You are a Godsend, you are guardian angels, you're just all great people. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Fantastic experience: Took our German Shepherd for her yearly checkup on Tuesday the 20th January. Our dog is 8 yrs old and have been taking her to Town & Country since she was a puppy. The staff here are fantastic, the veterinarians are knowledgeable and explain things in a simple manner. The facility is well maintained and even added cushions to their bench seat since my last visit. I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone who truly loves their pet

Fantastic experience: We only went here once on the worst possible circumstances. Our boy passed away on the way here but the staff here took our Jack and cleaned him up for us to say our final goodbye. They offered us services for cremation and urn and everyone was so sweet and gentle with us because we were absolutely heartbroken. In one of the worst days of our lives, they did everything for us and never met us once. When we got Jack back home, we got his paw print, an urn and a lovely card with handwritten message to us. They took care of him like they said they would. From never meeting us once, to taking care of our boy, I want to say thank you to everyone there that night and we appreciate everything you did for our big boy.

Negative experience: DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE!! They misdiagnosed my cat and gave him medicines that caused his kidneys to fail and had to be later hospitalized. He may not even make it, all because a vet not even working there full time misdiagnosed him after and hour and half of waiting. I WILL NEVER RECOMMED THIS PLACE

Fantastic experience: I took my Marley here on a Sunday morning after she got into something she wasn’t supposed the night before! The staff was so nice and helpful through the whole thing. Fantastic experience: I took my shih-poo in for an evaluation at about 7PM on Friday night- I want to first start off with the front desk employees, they were kind, polite and friendly (a great staff can really take you a long way-especially the gal that checked us out, she shared a military vet story with us and was so nice) shout out to the front desk gals! The vet tech that assisted my fur baby KONG was professional, kind, understanding and patient (Kong is not always the best patient so I really appreciated her calm demeanor in handling him). The vet was very nice, explained everything well, offered different solutions for the allergy issue and was pleasant. Everything was clean and sanitized so it made me feel very comfortable with taking my fur baby there for help with his allergies. Overall my experience here was pretty amazing and I highly recommend this place (I feel it is a hidden gem for the vet world, go check them out).

Fantastic experience: We recently took our dog here for an emergency visit. They immediately took her back to stabilize her and were extremely kind and communicative throughout the entire process. After sending her home with medicine and care instructions, we still were able to call for additional questions. Fantastic experience: The medical care is top notch. As an animal rescuer I’ve brought many dogs here including my personal animals, for simple exams all the way to major surgeries and every single instance the care has been excellent. Recently my senior service dog Tabasco had a tumor removed, and post op we had some issues. Bristol was an absolute angel on Earth, I thank God for her and I’m not exaggerating because when your animal is suffering you *need* caregivers who truly do care. That is what you’ll find here.

Fantastic experience: Last year we brought our cat in for a medical emergency, and we were very pleased with the care we received — especially the fact that he was able to be seen after my work hours. This year, in November, our 17-year-old poodle was in her final hours, and once again this clinic was the best option. I’m grateful that she was able to be cared for here. Not only was the staff incredibly empathetic, but the doctor who guided us through the euthanasia process was gentle and compassionate with her every step of the way. Fantastic experience: Took my Rottweiler there for a mass on her elbow. The whole team from start to finish we're wonderful and the cost was more then reasonable. Fantastic experience: My family and I brought our old Cindy girl because she wasn't in a good way. Dr. Conway and Jordan were so sincere, honest, and gave us options with full transparency. Unfortunately Cindy was suffering. Dr. Conway and Jordan assisted our family of 6 to spend our last moments with Cindy in a private room, gave us all the time we needed to get our kids home from work and were so compassionate. We elected to have the paw print made after Cindy had passed which we would have to pick up in a week. Upon getting the package, not only was Cindy's paw print amazing but they left a hand-written card expressing their condolences for our loss and the package and another heartfelt surprise. You all are truly amazing and we thank you so very much for what you do!

Fantastic experience: I brought my 2 Basset Hounds in as emergency patients for a severe allergic reaction. Although the wait was long, it was well worth it because of the care they (and we) experienced from Tatiana and Dr. Cade. What an awesome team of caring, compassionate caregivers. Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I brought my 15.5 year old cairn terrier today for a wellness checkup along with anxiety concerns. Happy to say that he returned with tons of happy tail wags, no signs of distress from being handled by the kind staff, clean ears (as he needed an ear cleaning), and was treated with so much care! Positive experience: Dr. Conway and the majority of the staff at Town & Country have been excellent in both quality and care. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to my sweet cat, and the team was very helpful and respectful, however, my cat's memorial engraving was incorrectly put into the system, and when I called to request it please get corrected, Tracy was not understanding and said "it's not a big deal." When I expressed that it indeed was a big deal that my engraving be exactly as I filled out and wished, she was silent and ignored my response by quickly moving the conversation towards her hanging up. Although she said that this can be corrected, it hurts hearing how little compassion Tracy had towards my dear loss.

She had tattoos and wore glasses, so I remember her clearly. After taking my dog to the back, within just 10 minutes I was told CPR was needed. I was allowed to watch, but during this very serious and heartbreaking moment, I saw this staff member laughing. I cannot understand why anyone would laugh while a pet’s life was at risk. It felt deeply disrespectful to both me and my dog. Sadly, my dog did not survive. Losing a pet is painful enough, but seeing staff act without compassion made the experience much worse. Negative experience: I write this as a first time customer at veterinary clinic, I’m not sure if all veterinary practices are the same but in my experience, this industry needs some refining. I took my 1 year old pug who had been sick one morning after somehow ingesting rubber bark. He had puked it that morning and was lethargic and seemed in pain. The staff was nice and we were seeing almost immediately. We explained the situation and asked for a check up. After check up we were presented with 3 different options. Price breakdown, some of the options seemed unnecessary so requested to have those removed. A new paper was presented, as someone from a long sales background, it resembled the experience of buying a car. I asked the nurse for advisement on what we should do, she advised of course we do it all. About 1k for everything they recommended. We opted in for just X-rays. 600.00 and left. We were hoping nothing was lodged in his stomach since that would mean surgery so we were optimistic. After a couple of hours we get a call from a vet. To sum it up what she said was “maybe” there was maybe there wasn’t. It seemed like something may be in there but needed another X-Ray in a couple of hours. Another X-Ray? If again nothing was found then ultrasound. If something was found then go to surgery which still may find nothing. It seemed like lots of uncertainties. We weren’t throwing thousands of dollars in for “maybes” btw. Another sales tactic. We go pick up our pug, now upset, this time took a lot longer to see us. Probably because they were coming up with pricing. After we go back in. The X-Ray was cheaper. By about 100 bucks lol. Overall with everything they recommended. Almost 5000. Not to mention any complications could lead to price increases too. The question I have is? How do we know? For all I know. They could say there’s complications and just add more to the cost. There’s no way of knowing. I said hell no and left. It’s been about 3 days since. My pug is back to his old self completely healthy I ask these questions 1. If they knew the X-Ray wouldn’t necessarily show if something was lodged. Why not just offer me the ultrasound in the first place? 2. If I go to a doctor, I expect a diagnosis, not a bunch of uncertainties, imagine you went to a doctor. They run tests and tell you, maybe you have cancer, maybe kidney failure, pay me more money to find out lol Overall left a sour taste, like I said, don’t know if all places are like this but definitely needs some adjustments PS: they said they would send us the X-Rays, never got them

Fantastic experience: Friendly and fast. During our ER visit it was determined my cat didn’t need any further testing. Paid a fee for a toxicologist call and that’s it. They checked my cats vitals and sent us on our way home.

Fantastic experience: These guys saved my cat’s life. I was able to walk in with my boy, he was lethargic due to a pee blockage. They immediately took over and showed me that they truly cared about my pet. They also recommended me to transfer my cat to a 24/7 ER and I did. . They handled the referral for me and I only had to transport my boy later that day. Fast forward the weekend he is back home thriving!! God bless you all.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank the Doctors and staff here for their kindness. I had never been to their facility, they were all just so lovely and understanding. Unfortunately the first day I’d visit would be the last day and I would not bring my sweet boy Butter home. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. These guys are amazing. The prices are very reasonable, and an in-person vet exam runs less than most online vet exams I've found. The receptionists are really efficient scheduling times that work and provide clear and informed answers to questions. I've seen two main veterinarian there and they are both actually remarkable. They'll sit with you o understand treatment, costs, preventative measures, etc. It's completely unrushed. You may wait a little sometimes- but it's probably because an emergency case just came in! The vet techs are gentle with my two dogs and both ENJOY visiting, despite all the shots. Again, can't recommend enough. Extremely grateful for the care they've given my two dogs.

Fantastic experience: We were in a crazy situation where we were having to babysit a cat for someone who was babysitting for someone else who was babysitting for their ex who was currently in military boot camp and unable to be contacted. Fantastic experience: We have been taking our cats to this Veterinary Clinic for many years. One of our fur babies is nearing the end of her life. I wanted to thank everybody that helped me yesterday. I wanted to let everyone know that Dr. Conway and her staff have been beautiful. They are very compassionate people who care about helping animals. Our baby, Little One, is going to have to cross the rainbow bridge very soon. Fantastic experience: One of the best experiences at a vet hospital I have ever had. After years of taking my pet to the local vet office and receiving average quality care, alongside my pet's sudden increase in health issues, I decided to take a chance on this vet. I was amazed! Upon entry, two receptionists were busy on the phones. The third receptionist, whom I later assumed was being trained by the other receptionists, immediately greeted me and checked me in. The lobby was clean and comfortable, with the AC being comfortably cool- much appreciated in the summer heat! The restroom was clean and well maintained/stocked! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the banter between the receptionists and the clients that arrived after myself. The receptionists were friendly and connected to their clients on a personal level, even asking one gentleman how his trip went! I was happy knowing they were going above and beyond with owners in such a way! My dog is anxious. At her previous vet, the technicians handled her in an acceptable manner but I was surprised to find that my technician at Town & Country Vet did an even better job. Melanie, the technician that saw my pet, surpassed my expectations in how she handled my dog. My dog even licked her hand! Something she has never done at her previous vet. I would definitely recommend Melanie as your technician if you have an anxious pet! I cannot sing the praises of Dr. Alsmady enough. She was professional, extremely knowledgable, and eager to explain her thought process when I asked tons of questions. (: I greatly appreciated that she took her time to answer every single question I had whilst relaying the information to me in a digestible and respectful way. She was also incredibly patient and thorough with my pet. I came to this vet hospital for a second opinion on my dog after years of the same treatment plan from my local vet that only seemed to work every so often despite myself raising concerns as the effectiveness of her treatments declined. So I was very pleased that Dr. Alsmady clearly considered *all* the information I relayed to her on my pet's history/what seemed to work for my pet in the past and what did not. If you want a doctor who is thorough and compassionate, Dr. Alsmady is my recommendation to you! I feel like my pet was truly seen here. The prices were definitely reasonable given the outstanding care that my pet received. Overall, I am very pleased with this veterinary hospital. If you want peace of mind and marvelous care for your pets, go here.

Fantastic experience: We are so happy that this location is opened late. My Shih Tzu began biting his tail for no reason. He was bleeding a lot. It was late but Town & Country to the rescue. The reception was very welcoming and understanding to the needs of our baby. He had to have surgery due to the tears he made to his tail but every single employee including the vet, Dr Conway and the late night receptionist were so kind to my baby and us. We were able to bring our baby home after surgery and is on his way to healing. I highly recommend anyone to try visiting here. You won’t be disappointed.

Negative experience: DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!!! I brought my dog in for a growth on his lip and was told it was a skin infection. I pushed for futher testing which they refused so I took him to another vet for a second opinion. When the new vet requested a copy of his records, they claimed he was never treated here. The growth was cancer and now my dog has 6 months to live.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I rescued a small chihuahua and I called our Vet who could not see her right away. I called 2 other places and no one could take her. I called Town & Country and they scheuled her the very same morning. The doctor took her time to explain what was going on with our new puppy and the staff was very nice during this scary time. The next day I called and they answered right away and addessed my concerns and stated someone would call me about a prescription. I received a call back just as they stated I would and the medication was ready for me to pick up. I was so worried about my puppy and they were so compassionate about my feelings. The vet is not in my neighborhood but I am going to keep JUNO at their office because of the great service we received. They have set the bar very high. Negative experience: Absolutely do not recommend this place. They overcharge for basic veterinary services and are unreliable. Sad to say I was a loyal customer for 2 years. I had a veterinary emergency (my dog’s ear had a significant laceration) only to be told I would have to wait for 5 hours to even get him screened to start receiving services, because my pet was not deemed an emergency to them. Mind you the employee on the phone told me to bring him in and did not inform me of this long wait time. I’m paying top dollar for emergency services and for what? just to wait? Absolutely disgusting service. This isn’t the first incident I’ve had with this vet clinic. On several occasions I’ve arrived early to my appointment just to wait in some cases 30 mins past my scheduled appointment with no courtesy as to my time. Terrible business and I will not be back. Atrocious.

Negative experience: Careful letting these vets prescribe your pet medicine that they get dependent on. Their recommendation was to put my dog on epilepsy medication and stated they cannot stop taking it when they start. To my surprise, out of no where refuse to refill this medication (that was helpful) after a year of it being prescribed without any proper reasoning . Disgusting.

Negative experience: I took my beautiful Pug to this clinic in March of 2025 when he was very sick. They took payment just to see him and he was taken in the back for over an hour. While he was back there I thought they were treating him or even checking what was wrong but during that hour the doctor came in one time for about 5 minutes to tell us they needed to do tests. After he left the nurse came in and out several times with a pricing paper trying to sell us treatments for him. It felt like we were being sold a used car .... We told her what we could afford and she left for 15 minutes to talk to the doctor and came back with different pricing, and again and again all the while my dog was just sitting in the back room dying. When we approved blood work the doctor returned and gave us no diagnosis or answers to what was wrong with him. He recommended we take him to another clinic he knew that was $2500 just to use an IV and check him there. They gave us medicine for diarrhea and dehydration, we took him home and gave him the medication and he worsened through the night. At 4 amhe was almost gone, we took him to another vet who treated him as best they could until he passed.... This is the worst place to take your animal, not only are they heartless but they will just take your money and refer you to another clinic to spend more, all the while your loved one will be dying. Due to their horrible service, after spending $2500 we still lost our best friend. If there was a rating of -5 stars that's what they would get.

Fantastic experience: Our sweet girl, Bella, had a major operation there last August. She recently developed an ear infection and is being treated for that. The staff was very patient in answering our questions and overall helped us feel comfortable in letting them treat our baby. All of the staff are very loving with her and the other pets I have seen there. They treat pets like family. I would highly recommend bringing your furbaby here.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place! We have a reactive dog and have never had a bad experience here, the staff is so kind and accommodating. Every one here clearly loves animals. Fantastic experience: Thank you so much to all the staff that helped me with my cat the other day. My little man had a blockage in his bladder, and everyone worked quickly to help him and guide me through the options I had. The young lady that answered all of my questions was amazing. This was the first pet emergency I’ve ever had, and they all made the process less scary and intimidating. I had to transfer my little baby to a 24 hour clinic after visiting Town & Country (which they helped me with), but the staff here were the ones who saved my little guy. Fantastic experience: took my dog Juney in to been seen for ear and eye issues, the front office rep Jeweli was very nice and answered all my questions, was called back to the exam room within 15 mins, the vet tech Bristol came in was very polite and made myself and Juney very comfortable, listen to my concerns for Juney, would get updates on treatment and exams, the vet doc DR Mo explained exactly what need to be done after his exam. Bristol was very helpful in explaining the treatment, administered and made sure Juney was comfortable with the application of meds, then Juney did not like the cone after application it made her very anxious, Bristol saw that and went out of here way to recommend another device which was the no flap ear wrap, applied/fitted apparatus and stayed with her to make sure Juney was comfortable with the no flap ear wrap before we went home. Thank you for your great customer service and providing excellent care to Juney.

Negative experience: DO NOT take your pets to Town & Country Veterinary Hospital. Despite being advertised as one of the cheapest clinics in San Antonio, their care is not only negligent—it can be deadly. I’ve brought two of my cats here for different issues, and both were treated with the same lack of care and urgency. The only vet on staff Dr Alsmady does not ask essential questions or try to understand the animal’s condition beyond the basic symptoms. Instead of diagnosing properly, she rushes to push overpriced medications and supplements—often three times the normal price and tied to specific brands they clearly promote. One of the most devastating experiences was bringing in a neonatal kitten who had suffered three days of vomiting and diarrhea and had stopped eating. The vet’s “treatment plan” consisted of recommending boiled chicken—completely disregarding that the weaning kitten wouldn’t eat at all—and suggesting hospitalization, which she admitted would consist only of fluids, a kennel, and no overnight supervision. We were charged $66 for an exam that consisted of nothing but weighing the kitten, $47 for a fecal test that came back negative (because the kitten was only passing water), $45 for a giardia test, $60 for fluids (which I had to request), and even $4 for “Safe Handling” of a kitten. All of our questions were brushed off, and any suggestions we made were met with condescension. They asked us to follow up after the visit, and when we did—within an hour—they didn’t even respond. The kitten passed away that night. We spent over $300 more on the products they pushed on us, none of which helped. The exact same medications were available online for a third of the price. Two other kittens began to show the same symptoms and worsened after following the vet’s advice. In desperation, my husband asked ChatGPT what to do. It suggested plain pumpkin purée. After just one $1.99 dose, the kittens’ diarrhea stopped. Something this simple, effective, and safe was never even mentioned by the vet. To make matters worse, when my husband called the next day to ask about cremation for the kitten, we were told it would cost $300, and that they would update our records. Three days later, they called to “check in” on the kitten who had already died. Both times I visited this clinic, I saw other clients leaving in tears because their pets had passed and they were being charged for cremation. Town & Country does nothing to help your pets. Their care is mechanical, dismissive, and profit-driven. We spent over $600 and lost a precious life because of their incompetence. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: My two dogs Recently had dental cleaning performed at this facility. Dr Lindsey Conway did an excellent job with the cleaning. The staff was friendly and helpful. The procedure took longer than normal because of emergencies coming into the hospital and that was understandable. The price was very reasonable considering some teeth had to be removed on both dogs. Considering this is a hospital and not a regular vet office, sometimes you need to be patient. I also have my dogs vaccinations done at this facility. I highly recommend this facility for people looking for quality care at a reasonable price.

Positive experience: Positive: Same day appt with friendly office staff. Clean, fresh smelling waiting room, made for a positive visit. Staff is very attentive to pet owners, putting pet parents at ease. Complimentary coffee & water for guest is a nice touch. Exam notes emailed same day. Negative: High price quotes presented with basic explanation by Vet Tech who communicated with us 75-80% of the visit. Vet was very nice and professional, but difficulty understanding her accent, made decision making and communication difficult. Small dog seen for diaherra (watery, foul odor accident during visit) needing immediate attention to help ease symptoms. At that point, the doctor could have recommended additional test for foul odor diarrhea and a GI antibiotic for some relief. Instead, had to decide on "current list" and wait for Rx. Before leaving Vet mention possible heart murmur. 2hr appt, agreed to 1Rx/2 tabs, sent home with 3Rx, available online. Unfortunately 2-5 days to receive. 24 hrs later and no improvement. 2nd progress appt went better. Vet Tech was friendly and attentive. Vet communicated 80% of the time. The worse may be over. No need for more labs unless we wanted reassurance. Prescribed & provided 2 Rx. Cost was high (verses online). Overall, a good experience. One appointment would have been ideal. Praying all the medication resolve the problem and we get our happy fur baby feeling better. NOTE: Any Vet with "Hospital" in their name is considered emergency. Expect to pay more.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mohammed and her team are very kind and caring. I read reviews that they were more expensive than other vets. The office vist might be more, but we saved $100 on normally yearly with vacations. Also one of the injections our dog has to get monthly was half the cost.

Negative experience: BEWARE AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!!! Literally the worst place to take your dog or pet. They are a bait and switch vet and looking to rake you over the coal for profits. Sold me on using their Yourgi app with a monthly cost as a recommendation by the vet when I first brought in my 8 week old puppy that i told them I wanted to spay when old enough. They said this would be the cheapest way to go to cover the initial wellness example, shots, spay, etc. Enrolled me in the app and program/ Scheduled me for bloodwork and the spay only to present me with a $1200 pre-bill the Friday before the Monday spay. They are literally $200-300 everywhere else in the county and you sold me on using the monthly Yourgi app and then think it's ok to attempt to coerce me to pay $1200. The tech and manager came out trying to justify it and that there computers were down and they would call us back with a solution. Guess what they never did because they knew they weren't ever going to try and fix the problem. Low and behold we have moved else where to a more ethical business practicing place. Loved our vet but the people that bought this place is awful.

Negative experience: This is the worst veterinary hospital, they perform a surgical procedure on my dog legs, they administered the anesthesia incorrectly and damaged his joints, that day I picked up my dog after an X-ray. When we got home he started vomiting and his eyes were turning outwards , he started drooling excessively. I was like n shook super worried I take him to the emergency room. after all of this , his back legs ended weak and uncoordinated. It’s been 10 months after his surgery and my dog still has weak legs and no coordination….. I thank God my dog didn’t die there. I do not recommend this veterinary hospital … and The staff in the front desk all of them are unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: We have been bringing our pets and our rescues here for over a decade. Staff, aides, and veterinarians have all treated us like family. There has never been pressure to choose the most expensive options. Instead, when money has been tight, they have carefully consulted with us to provide the best service with a lower monetary outlay. Even when a rescue is rescued too late to save, they work with us to provide the best end of life care and a painless passing when necessary. They've been there to help us rescue cats hit by cars and badly injured in other accidents. (We feed, TNR, and care for a feral colony. Our own (often those we couldn't rehome due to being special needs) are strictly indoor cats and dogs.) They've been there through good and bad with our beloved pets. Pics below are a few of them. The bowls are half of the ones we use to feed wet food indoors and out each evening, lol. I very highly recommend these marvelous people.

Positive experience: Not the greatest experience here… We came to this vet when my dog had lepto and they did the initial treatment then had her transferred to another hospital. They did good with her so we started taking our other pets here for basic vaccines and check-ups. After going for some time, we discovered we no longer want to pursue this vet due to the staff. Staff messed up scheduling booster shots, which led to them having to start the vaccines over again. The male vet-tech was rude to me, didn’t take my animals issues seriously, and I watched him drop another women’s sick dog on its neck without apologizing to the owner. No longer happy with this vet BUT I am very thankful for the one female vet-tech at the front desk because she was genuine with me and took care of me when things went wrong.

Negative experience: I have been taking my animal here for the past 4 years. There has been a change over in Dr's and staff and you can certainly tell. When we were about to leave, I stopped at the exit door to ask how much more of a certain medication would I need to give my animal, but Vet Tech Jordan stopped, rolled her eyes and looked very annoyed with me. I just left after that, no one deserves to go to a vet of all places and feel like youre an annoyance. I do not recommend this veterinarian to anyone with more troubled pets.

Fantastic experience: I have used Town and Country for years for our babies. 3 cats and 2 dogs. Our youngest baby had behavior changes that though they were cute in nature, weren't her. I took her up there not really expecting anything serious. However, they took my concerns that her snuggling with a toy wasn't her usual behavior serious and found out she needed emergency surgery. Mind you this was right before they closed for the night. They took their time explaining all possible outcomes, the risks involved (including the possibility of transferring her if there were complications). They gave me the option of waiting until her surgery was done and the receptionist (sorry was in shock so didn't catch her name) was the sweetest person. She talked with me about random things, offered me coffee or a soda, and showed true compassion to help ease my worry. They followed up with her care about 3 days later and answered all my questions.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended this Veterinary Hospital! My daughter and I brought in our (gastrointestinal) extremely sick 16 1/2 year old Beagle/Chihuahua mix today. He was so sick that I thought he was dying this morning after throwing up and being sick with water diarrhea with some blood all night. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. Jackie the Vet Tech was amazing to him and us in every way. Dr Mohammed was very nice and thorough with our old senior dog. After his treatments he’s doing so much better tonight! Thank you so much. Fantastic experience: My 7 month old Great Dane got the tip of his ear bitten off yesterday and they were the only affordable-ish emergency I could find close by. They took very good care of my boy and have answered any questions I have right away when I called them. Their medications are a little expensive, but I just got a written prescription and went to a nearby pharmacy.

Negative experience: We took our fur baby to be seen at this VET ER a few days ago. We did not know what is going on so we had him examined. You would think that if they performed an examination it means they are going to find out what is wrong with our fur baby. After drafting an outrageous estimate of $1400-1800, I told them that it was too extreme. I opted for the blood work to get started. It was like buying a car, they came back with two more quotes and we finally decided to move forward to find out what is wrong. A CBC was done and Xray was done she said they both looked good and normal. Dr Conway stated that Stuber has head congestion. Did not bother checking other symptoms or possible causes. Very unethical and yet they collected $517. Wouldn’t that flag you that there is something else wrong with our fur baby? But no, after being there from 12:30pm they sent us on our way home with antibiotics and steroids. They both didn’t do anything for our fur baby. Examination and medications that did not do anything. It only means they misdiagnosed what was wrong and used our Christmas meal money for this misdiagnosis just so that we can get the care our fur baby needed. They called two days after and I told them that he is not better and is not eating. They said they will call back. They called back today CHRISTMAS DAY to give him more medication for appetite and I told Michael that he wants to eat and has the appetite but would not open his mouth and he said we need to bring him again to get examined. I asked if they are charging us again and he said unfortunately yes. Dr Conway stated that if symptoms persist to call them. You would think this would be a follow up and you wouldn’t be charged. I explained to him why would I need to pay again since this was supposed to be discovered at the time of visit. He said that well he was aggressive and I told him that he was given sedation and he said well it was not a full sedation. Well how would I know that if that was not explained to me in the beginning. Dr Conway only said that they need to sedate home to perform the examination. That makes me think that they charged me for items to jacked up our bill and they did not do what they need to do. This Michael started getting upset with me because I called them out for the obvious and I told him that I spent the money for our Christmas meal to make sure Stuber was safe. He unempatheticly stated it just the way it is. If we wanted to get him seen that we would need to pay again. I don’t see why we need to pay for something they missed or misdiagnosed. Don’t forget we were there for 8 hours and they did not look at him for other medical reasons on why he is drooling. This is exactly what I told them when we arrived. Stuber was seen and is not better after being seen by Town & Country Vet Hospital on Bandera. No accountability and they want you to pay for their mistakes. This is a question of INTEGRITY. Are they doing the right thing when no one is watching. Are they ethically checking all their patients or this is highway robbery? I’d like to see them prove me wrong and take care of our puppy since we paid for the services. Do the right thing.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service at this clinic! Drs. Abdelhameed & Alsmady are absolutely wonderful! I spent 3 days going back and forth to try to get my little Maltese healed from some sort of stomach virus. She didn't eat for almost 3 days, had the runs and was throwing up. Both doctors were so caring and helpful, did all thebtests needed and didn't try to do unnecessary tests. Additionally, I spent a lot of time with the tech, Jackie, in person and on the phone. Fantastic experience: My little dog was bitten by a big dog on a Friday night. I am so grateful to have had a vet clinic close by with such an amazing staff. They were so supportive throughout the evening, kept me updated and helped work out a price and plan I could afford. I went back for a checkup today and once again everyone was wonderful - they answered all my questions and worked with my schedule. I am hopeful for a full recovery but no matter what happens, I'll never forget the care and attention we received. I will be changing my vet care to Town and Country full time! Fantastic experience: The team here saved our baby! Dr Mohammed and all the staff here are amazing and care so much. Our matter was urgent and there was no waste of time when it came to saving our baby’s life. Truly a miracle and despite the high price some Say of the meds, well they are an emergency hospital. Negative experience: When it comes to pet care they have some good vets... 4-5 Stars When it comes to pricing they're medicines? 1 Star!!! They are the biggest crooks and take advantage of the situation. $70 for generic eye drops and $60 for generic eye ointment? I go to Chewy because I thought this was high? Same drops $14 and Ointment was $10? That was without coupons. This is highway robbery $24 vs $130? And they wonder why people do no want to take pets to Vet? I understand some mark up but this is Highway Robbery! Clearly taking Advantage of the situation....

Fantastic experience: Absolutely feel in love with this place & staff. Just so happened that i had major surgery on a Friday morning and our fur baby got sick over night that night presenting a cough. I knew she had to be seen soon after but i knew she looked stable enough for me to recover just enough to be able to travel with my husband to get her to the vet. All other locations/Clinics ect were full for the day as a walk in and I felt defeated and scared for our baby girl. I took a look and the last place I hadn't called was...Town & County V.H. Boy am I glad I did! Grant as a walk in patient all appointments & life threatening emergencies did come first but we were there in office and I knew she'd get helped if something happened. Long story short we eventually got seen, had our fears of bad news as she's 11 years old BUT the news was as good as it comes. We were treated with kindness and great hospitality. Our baby girl was loved on while we waited and she received GREAT care. Also, as we waited we unfortunately saw a few empty hands leave the building but that's also when i KNEW were in a great place when i witnessed the sympathy between staff and pet loved ones. I would 100% recommend this place. Thank you for the peace of mind that you, the staff is caring & compassionate in every situation. Although this place is a bit of a drive for us I do feel like we be asking this place our fur babies clinic and care team! A simple picture of our baby girl just patiently waiting her turn in the clinic.

Positive experience: Brought my cat for a walk in to the clinic. Was told the wait would be around 2 hours. Appointments started showing up and pushing back the timeliness. I get it it there are appointments pre scheduled and I am a walk in. An emergency came in that pushed me back further. Again I understand it's an emergency. I get taken back to the room and am waiting around 20 minutes. I am told the vet will be in shortly as they have finished their procedure. Another almost 40 minutes goes by and no vet. Went out to to ask for a refund where I was told more emergencies came in. Staff was friendly but the location seems understaffed and communication just didn't exist outside of me asking questions myself. Also payment as a walk in was taken up front. If the location wants money up front for walk-ins then it should figure out how to conduct business in either a more timely manner or upfront and consistent communication. Update: I went back to the vet and had a much better experience. More communication upfront and updates were provided about events. I don't mind waiting as a walk in if honest communication is involved. Due to the better second experience I am upgrading the rating from 3 to 4. Hoping any future visits will continue the better care and communication and I would be happy to proadditin updated review if quality is better.

Negative experience: Disgusting !!! We took our sweet Corgi girl; age 3 years old on 10/18. Our sweet girl was struggling to pee & this Clinic took her to a kennel far away from me to run tests& informed me she was dying from kidney failure. Thank God my husband arrived and demanded to see my Corgi before her death. I had been pleading with the staff to bring her back to my room in the clinic for over 2 hours. All I could hear in the hallway by my solitary room was the office staff by my room laughing and joking about their "weekend debacles" although though I kept interrupting them with inquiry regarding my Corgi Girl. All the excuses I heard was "oh your vet tech will be with you soon about her blood tests". As I said thank God my husband showed up after his long work day and had been reading my texts that my Corgi girl was dying in her cage ;and I was waiting to be with her In the vet room. Finally the Vet & vet tech brought my sweet Corgi to us to have euthanasia injection but it was like how dare they charge us for that?! She was already expiring due to her sudden kidney failure and they left her locked up in her kennel while I was pleading with them to bring her to me so I could be with her. The vet suggested we take her to another VET ER for "about another $4k to possibly help her kidneys " but even after he said this he knew it was just for the $. As I said my Corgi girl was rapidly dying and this clinic left her alone in her kennel for over 2 hours while I was pleading with them to bring her to me so I could comfort her In her final moments. Our bill was $1000 ; I took her here not knowing the severity of her condition. She was so brave and fought her fight till her last hours & Town & Country was very uncaring and inconsiderate to my Corgi and just cared about the money made. Never again! Never take your pets here if you want urgent compassionate care! ZERO STARS!!!!! We got a card saying sorry about your loss but my husband & I knew it was not sincere as we saw firsthand their " Sincerity" which is Less then Zero Compassion.

Fantastic experience: Took my dog in because he was severely sick for several days. Didn’t have an appt but they checked him in immediately and took X-rays. He had an object stuck in his intestines which is life threatening. Dr. Conway operated on him the same day. After the surgery I was informed of how everything went in detail. He’s currently home now recovering and seems to be doing good. Very grateful this office! This whole process was obviously expensive but it was cheaper than I thought it would be. Well worth the money spent on saving his life.

Negative experience: I see a lot of 5 star reviews that don't look real, and a lot of 1 star negative reviews, so I wanted to share a real experience. I took my outdoor cat here, she got sick very suddenly. You are charged a $103 deposit to be seen as an emergency walk in. There was no wait to be seen, and the vet tech explained the tests and procedures recommended, along with costs, which came to about $800 for bloodwork and x rays. The vet was very compassionate and she explained that my cat was having kidney failure and the prognosis was not good. Even with hospitalization she could die at any time, her condition was so bad. She recommended euthanasia, they gave me time to see my cat and decide what to do. So I paid $159 to have my cat put down, I will say the vet was very kind and the experience looked painless and peaceful. What made me feel odd was how much they prioritized making me pay in full before anything was done, while I was crying my eyes out. They gave pricey options for cremation and urns- over $1000! I opted to take my cat's body home in a cardboard box, which they called preparation for burial and charged $17.49 for. I know that vet care is not cheap, and I expect to pay for good care. I just feel that while the vet is very good, the emphasis is on making everyone pay right away. To pay $880 total, to run tests and put a cat to sleep feels excessive, but I wanted to leave an honest review, for you to decide.

Negative experience: Their hours of operation state open at 7am but there was no vet there. We were refused service and told we couldn't wait for the vet. The tech sent us to mission animal hospital which was a much higher cost. We couldn't afford it so now I just have to watch my best friend suffer and slowly die. The vet tech sentenced my dog to díe, rather than let us wait in the car for 45 minutes for a vet to arrive

Fantastic experience: When I say this clinic has been a COMPLETE blessing to my fur baby and I, I am not over exaggerating!! I had been taking my fur baby to Angel of mercy, due to an episode that caused him to walk in circles. Long story short, they prescribed him meds and he no longer walks in circles. Well he had an episode where his head was tilted like a mild stroke or something. So I had to bring him to Town and Country. They treated him and he's been fine ever since. Fast forward to tonight. My baby needed a refill so I called Angel of mercy, as they are the ones that initially prescribed his meds. Once I mentioned bringing him to Town and Country, Ronnie the tech, told me to continue to bring him to Town and Country, they would no longer refill his meds!!! The tech acted like a jealous girlfriend, refused to help me baby and hung up on me!! So I did exactly what she told me to do, I came to Town and Country and they were happy to help me with my baby's meds. All she said was, "We will help!!!" I FREAKING love these people here! They are not on ego trips, they actually care about your baby!! They are kind, and ALWAYS present you with different options!! Believe me when I say, these are the people you want tending to your loved ones. Thank y'all soooo freaking much!! Blessings!!!

Negative experience: I have had to absolute worst experience here. I had a better time putting down my elderly dog at a different vet than I have had servicing my dog here. My dog came in with a 1.5 inch cut on her front paw. It took 2 hours for the doctor to see my dog, while we waiting in a waiting room. The doctor came in and informed me someone will be in to go over cost. No information given other than I see the cut. “I only unwrapped one piece of tape because I could see the cut enough without unwrapping the full wrap”. Right from the start, half effort care was given to my injured dog. In comes the vet tech to inform me of a $800-$1100 bill for the treatment. What treatment? Who knows. No one told me what they were going to do, just that they were going to treat the wound. “When I have her sedated I’ll be able to see better what needs to be done” not even a couple options of what could happen. Not a single one. I left my dog for what was documented as a 15-30 procedure for 4 more hours. I picked my dog up, who was “sedated” yet was jumping when the vet tech brought her to me. From the moment I walked in my dog was obviously hyper active. Every one of the employees who saw her, expressed how hyper she was. They were “out of antibiotics for her size” so sent me home with a prescription, adding that I would not be able to get them tonight, now that it was 9pm, and I could go to heb/cvs the next day. Now I’m not a doctor but?? Maybe in an emergency, provide me the pills and tell me to double up the dose?? Or is this emergency hospital completely out of antibodics?? My instructions were to remove the wrapping in 24 hours. I left them on for 48 to be sure nothing moved around. I’m assuming she received stitches because at this point I still have yet to be informed what exactly they did to my dog. I open the now bled through wrap to find the stitches open, and knots loose. I immediately call and the receptionist informs me they will let the doctor know there is an emergency. 30 minutes pass. No call. 1 hour passes. Still no call. I bring my dog back in for a follow up and a new staff member helps my dog out of the car, jumping all around- while on the provided sedation pills- I let the tech know these are obviously not strong enough for her. I am now crying in the waiting room, the second doctor comes in asking what’s wrong…. Oh I don’t know??? My dog is injured??? I am in a pet hospital am I not? Did you read her chart? Review the treatment? Why am I crying?? Ma’am. I am told at this point they are going to cut the skin off and let it naturally heal with the assistance of honey. Because my dog is “too active” for stitches. I paid another $300 for basically more medication. 4 bottles of medication now. I pick up my dog after her second procedure in 3 days. The vet tech this time was helpful, informative and nice. Gave me all information that no one else provided. Fast forward to now, a week later. My dogs wound has not improved in the slightest. She is left with the now 1x1 inch open wound to slowly heal. My “hyper active” dog is now forced to be sedated for over a month to allow her body to naturally heal because the $800 I spent for her to have her wound stitched closed, was “maybe rejected”. Terrible. If you’ve made it this far. Don’t take your pets here. There are other places who care about your animal and you more. Who inform you on how to care for your pet back to health instead of asking for $100 at the door and give you half ass care. Terrible terrible terrible.

Fantastic experience: Where to begin? On 10/13/24 at 5am, we had to take our GS to the ER because he was bleeding anytime he would try to urinate it got so bad it was bleeding on its own. We were there for a few hours and were told he had over a dozen bladder stones. There, they told us they couldn’t do the surgery in house. If I understood correctly it was because of the level of urgency. We were heartbroken because we knew our dog was in pain and we were at a loss on what to do. Someone on Facebook referred us to Town and Country. We called as soon as I saw the recommendation. They were able to tell me if I were to bring him in they would be able to do the surgery the same day and gave me a rough estimate on the total cost. The staff was amazing from the moment we arrived to when we picked him up. When we arrived, staff was already looking at the documents the previous ER sent. We also didn’t have to wait in the lobby long before we were moved into a room. Dr. Mohammad Abdelhameed came in within 5 minutes of us being in the room and gave us the whole run down. When we agreed to the procedure, he let us know a tech would be back in to give us an explanation on the surgery breakdown. Our total was under the max amount of the estimate they had given us. Our boy was finally able to get his bladder stones removed and they were also able to neuter him while they were in surgery. They called l to update us when the surgery was over and told us he was ready for pick up at 8pm. When we arrived the technician was thorough on how the surgery went, even showed us the vile that was full of the stones they pulled out. Before surgery, during the breakdown of the total cost, they asked us if we would like his stones sent to a lab so we could be more sure what type of diet will be more effective, and we agreed to have the sent. After actually seeing the stones, the responsible thing to do was to send them off. The previous ER did prescribe a special kibble, in hopes to avoid future stones so T&C didn’t need to give a prescription. I wish I could remember the male techs name because he let us ask so many questions and was very detailed on what to expect and what to do after surgery. He stuck with us until we walked out the door. For the staff: I can’t thank you aok enough for everything you have done for our Hercules. He is our everything and I could not tell you how comfortable you guys made us feel, from the minute we stepped in and until we stepped out of your doors. Im so happy our follow up is with your clinic especially because I never felt this supportive with Hercules’ primary vet. We felt heard and could feel you all truly have a passion for what you do. We will always do business with you. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! - The Christophersons If you ever need a clinic who cares, COME HERE! You are in good hands!

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy with the services my husband and I received at Town & country. We had rescued an injured kitten, no more than 5 weeks old. Had an injury on their tail with an infection. We were so worried about the potential outcome but the technicians and drs there were very informative and nice. I have had unfortunately bad experiences at veterinary hospitals before and definitely something I didn’t want to experience again but I’m glad I didn’t. They took care of our kitten and she’s healing up nicely. I’d like to thank Dr. Lauren for being such an angel with us and working with our budget. Definitely recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: We have recently had to change vet offices. It was a scary change because sometimes you just never know. But I had previous communications with one of the doctors and she advised to give them a try, we did and very happy with the choice we made. Front desk is welcoming and easy to converse with, the techs are very thorough when giving you an estimate of the visit prior to service , which I love. Both doctors that we have seen were also very thorough. So far everything has been great.
