Fantastic experience: First visit was wonderful was able to take the 3 fluffs in all at once which was much easier than taking them in on separate times. They even had a cute little welcome sign for us. That was adorable and got all the character names, right! Very impressed also was able to discuss different options for my puppy as the vet was able to notice something wrong for the with her knee. Happy to be on top of that and to get it while she’s young so that it doesn’t cause damage in the future, but can heal nice and easy when she’s young.

The staff and facility are very welcoming and make me feel like we are in the right place for our dog’s care. Fantastic experience: Countryside was able to fit us in that day since our Australian Shepherd was in distress and acting oddly. A cerenia injection allowed her to finally drink water without immediately throwing it up. Then small amounts of food could then be given to aid in recovery. In house blood test, parasite screen and subcutaneous fluids done. Not cheap but reasonable for what was done. As a member of the family we did not want to see another one of our dogs slip away.

Fantastic experience: Countryside Animal Hospital is the best veterinarian practice in Phoenix. Dr. Smith is our particular doctor and she is the best veterinarian I have ever had to support me and my family. The entire practice from the front desk to the doctors, we always feel supported.

Fantastic experience: My beautiful Bernese mountain dog needed a surgery for a tumor and I came here for a second opinion and found them to be up front, honest , and helpful . It was a difficult surgery but my sweet girl is on the mend nicely! Many thanks to the doctor and assistant Sarah! They were awesome !

Gave us plenty of time and was very thorough. She also spent time explaining why each part of her advice on both pets was important to follow. We know we are in good hands now here in Tempe

Fantastic experience: I’ve been told for years that this is the best place to take your pets for their care but never had a pet until now. It was as good or better than I expected. Dr Dunning and his staff were amazing. They took such good care of my puppy and spent a great deal of time answering my questions and giving me tips to help. Fantastic experience: Dr Flores really took the time to thoroughly examine my pup Cleo. She gave me a detailed explanation of her observations.

Negative experience: I took Zoey in for a routine teeth cleaning, and the experience was extremely upsetting. I’ve always felt like some of the staff here come across as condescending, but this visit confirmed my concerns. A few hours after dropping her off, I received a call from the doctor saying the gauze and tape they use in her mouth during the cleaning were “not accounted for.” When I asked what that meant, he told me they couldn’t find it and that Zoey may have swallowed it. Mind you she was under anesthesia unconscious when this happened. His explanation was that “she should pass it,” and if she didn’t, she would need surgery. At no point was I told that swallowing a foreign object was a risk of this procedure. This is negligence. Zoey was lethargic and not herself for days afterward, and she ultimately did pass the large piece of gauze and tape. Not a single person from the clinic reached out to check on her afterward but they did remember to send an invoice for her pre-procedure bloodwork. For a procedure that cost over $1,000 (on top of a full year of paying for their Paw Plan), I expected professionalism and basic attention to detail. Instead, my dog endured unnecessary anxiety, discomfort, and a potentially dangerous obstruction. Be cautious when coming here. I genuinely question the authenticity of some of the positive reviews because my experiences have been consistently disappointing. I’m now looking for a new vet

Positive experience: I have a new dog. Brought in for anal gland problem. Vet was very nice. A couple days later he still seemed to had anal gland problem. Vet was very nice and gave him a thorough exam. I'm still not sure if problem has been resolved, but both vets were very nice.

Negative experience: A required wellness exam alone costs $91 and to get one cat spayed it is an over $900. Prices are outrageous compared to any other vet. I’ve never seen it over $180 anywhere else, save yourself the time and money.

Negative experience: My dog got blood in his stool.the doctor should have told us the side effects on the allergy medicine she gave us then acted like it was not that, really did not even care, cared more about the staff

Fantastic experience: We have been taking our dog here for 5 years and they have always provided such excellent care and service. Fantastic experience: Everyone is incredibly warm, professional and kind at Countryside. This was our first visit and there was even a welcome sign for my dog Finn! Christine at the front desk made sure Finn got his photo taken with the sign, Erika took care of making sure all his info was correct and took the time to make him feel comfortable with Special duck & pumpkin treats! Dr. Denning is knowledgeable, caring and even had Finn wagging his tail during the examination! (I've had dogs for over 35 years and had wonderful NYC vets but I don't think I've ever experienced a wagging tail during an examination!!). Fantastic experience: What a breath of fresh air, it’s so stressful having to take your pet into the vet to begin with, we were immediately at ease here. They were so nice from check in to taking us back to the exam room, the nurse was amazing, thoughtful, took plenty of time with us to understand why we were there, then the Dr came in and spent 20-30 minutes with us discussing our pup and her specific issues. We felt seen and for the first time in years we felt like we had finally found a vet that is willing to listen and help us figure out how to solve her allergy issues. We are so happy to find this clinic.

Fantastic experience: I have a rescue with severe PTSD. Dr Smith was gentle and understanding about his needs. She got down on the floor with him and talked to him until he was comfortable with her. I was also able to call from the parking lot so he could go directly into a room and they took my payment while we were still in the room so we could make a speedy exit. I highly recommend Countryside.

Fantastic experience: OUTSTANDING. I was having a difficult allergy day when I brought my kitty to this vet, trying to manage her carrier and a portable oxygen unit. Staff came outside to help me get her in and immediately took us to a private examining room apart from the waiting area that had several pets w/their owners waiting to be seen. Their compassion and assistance was greatly appreciated. Dr. Ciminello treated my pet so carefully and professionally that I wish she could be my own primary care physician!!

Fantastic experience: I had to change veterinarians a few years ago and ended up at Countryside on a friend's referral. The staff here are wonderful from the front desk to the veterinarians. Dr. Ciminello is who my dogs usually see and she is so kind, caring and loving with them. She is a wonderful veterinarian and person. The other veterinarians my dogs have seen have been wonderful as well.

Fantastic experience: Had to come leave a review because this vet is hands down, the BEST vet facility I’ve ever experienced. We’ve been bringing our GSD since he was 5 weeks old, and through every milestone they have been extremely helpful. Dr. Smith is ABSOLUTELY the BEST! Our Zander loves her and it’s so comforting to know we can put our full trust in her when it comes to the care of our fur baby.

Fantastic experience: Not only does Dr. Dunning and the staff take fantastic care of my pets, but they all demonstrate a real interest in my pets and take the time to answer every one of my questions and to connect with me. We’ve all had that Dr. in our lives who gives us all the time we need, as if we were the only patient they had that day. Dr. Dunning is always that way, and I never feel like I’m being rushed or pushed out. They take their time until all my questions and all my issues have been resolved. I recently moved to a new house that’s 45 minutes away, hence an hour and a half driving time to go to Countryside. I thought for about two seconds of looking for a veterinarian that was closer, but there's just no way that anybody could replace the high-quality care that my pets receive from Countryside Animal Hospital and Dr. Dunning.

Prince loves to visit Dr Dunning and his staff and plans to continue kicking for another 20 years! Great heart and cognitive skills for a pet of his age!!!

Fantastic experience: I have taken my rescue dog Lucky Buddy to Countryside Animal twice. Saw two different lady vets on my visits. (Dr. Widener)and most recently (Dr. Ciminello). I've have also accompanied my girlfriend on several occasions to the facility. She has used Dr. Hoppe for her two dogs since he moved here several years ago. I also got the pleasure of watching her in action on several occasions. In my opinion, they are all very knowledgeable and professional. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and accommodating as well. I highly recommend this Veterinary facility for all your pets needs.

Negative experience: First of all the examinations here are $91 if you’re looking for a fancy veterinarian this is the place to go. I had tried this clinic a few times always being disappointed. Countryside always trying to sell me Extras. Dental plans, food, When you walk in, it is a very fancy office. The price is definitely reflect on that. I finally decided to go here for the last service I’ll ever go back for. I a abdomen ultrasound I was expecting a follow up the next day to See how my pet was doing on the medication’s Ryan upsell me. And the results of the abdomen ultrasound.No follow up phone call. When I was asking the receptionist why I did not receive a phone call they said Ryan did not feel there was one needed!? I specifically left my phone number and email the next morning I received an Angry Phone call from Ryan stating I must’ve been confused. He spent 30 minutes after the abdomen ultrasound administered by Dr. Lawmaster. And that was sufficient enough. I said, I want report of the ultrasound or imaging. He was mad I asked for a follow up and report. legally that is my personal property. I have heard nothing from Countryside to see how my pet is doing. Countryside knew he’s at the end of life. Beware!
