Here are some key points about the hospital:

However, there are noted concerns such as:
- Extended wait times during peak hours, leading to frustration among clients seeking immediate care.
- Some clients experienced challenges with communication regarding their pets' conditions and treatment options.
- A few had unsatisfactory experiences regarding animal exams and veterinarians' attitudes, particularly in more stressful situations.
Overall, Grady Veterinary Hospital stands out for its caring environment and skilled team, making it a recommended choice for emergency pet care.
Services
Grady Veterinary Hospital: Reviews
Negative experience: Appointment for Smores a cat was at 3 pm. Had to wait 8 hours , till 11:00 for cat to be seen Never again!
Negative experience: In years past I’ve made a number of trips to Grady for emergency care services. None of my visits were ever cheap, but the pricing made more sense. To me it’s clear Grady is now just as broken as our healthcare system. I’m sure many of the people that work here are good people who care about animals but it’s also clear Grady has become a money grab. Here’s why I plan on disputing the charges I incurred this weekend with my bank and why I will only use MedVet should I ever need emergency vet care in the future. Early this Thursday morning (around 4:30 -5 am) I rushed my dog to Grady after he was attacked by another dog. My dog was conscious but in pain; one ear was half missing and he had a number of bites all over his legs and belly. My dog’s belly was really swollen from the trauma but none of his injuries were so severe as to warrant stitches or surgery. When I signed the consent to care and the pricing estimate the low end estimate was $1900 (which I was told represented having to stay at the facility for 2 nights) and the high estimate was roughly $3000 (which I was told represented having to stay for 4 nights). Again, my dog didn’t require surgery or even stitches, he had no internal bleeding and his injuries weren’t infected so no sepsis. I briefly spoke with the vet Thursday afternoon and it sounded like my dog was fine but they just wanted to monitor him because he had a low internal temperature. When I spoke with someone Friday afternoon I discovered the cost of care increased $2000! No, my dog’s condition hadn’t worsened, yet somehow he warranted $2000 in tests, oxygen therapy, IV fluids and IV antibiotics? If I hadn’t had to work Friday night (5 pm to 4 am) I would have picked up my dog as soon as I placed this second phone call. I picked up my dog this morning (Saturday) and he’s now at home acting like his normal sweet self. In total the cost was $3600, that’s $3,600 for antibiotics, pain meds and monitoring! While $3,600 is objectively a good amount of money to most individuals, I’m a single mom with a mortgage, zero family, zero financial assistance from family or former partners, plus I take care of a house full of rescue animals. This isn’t right. If I hadn’t paid my bill in full today I wouldn’t have been able to take my dog home. I’m not a medical professional but $3,600 for pain meds, antibiotics, monitoring and a warm cage isn’t unconscionable, its fraud. Quite fortunately I haven’t had to go to the hospital since my son was born but I’m fairly confident even a US hospital, in all it’s messed up money-hungry glory wouldn’t charge $124.71 to take 3 blood pressure readings. Do better.
Fantastic experience: They helped me determine the best choice , for what my pet had .
We appreciate your kind words! Thanks for trusting us with your pet's care!
Fantastic experience: My cat spent a week at Grady with multiple procedures and an intense medication/feed schedule. The staff always kept me updated on his condition and allowed me to come and visit as often as I wanted, even in the middle of the night after my bartending shift! The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and the techs treat the animals like their own. It was extremely comforting knowing my pet was receiving compassionate around the clock care. As with any veterinary care, it was definitely not cheap, but Grady was the cheapest of all the options I explored. Fallon is getting healthier everyday and I look forward to many more years with him. We will definitely be returning here should we have another emergency!
Bianca, thank you so much for sharing Fallon’s story. We know how stressful it can be when a pet needs intensive care, and we’re so glad you felt supported with regular updates and the ability to visit whenever you needed to. Providing compassionate, around-the-clock care and treating every patient like our own is incredibly important to our team. It’s wonderful to hear that Fallon is getting healthier every day, and we’re grateful you trusted us during such a challenging time. We wish you both many happy years ahead together!
Fantastic experience: They saved my cat's life so I will be forever grateful. The vibe is the same as a 24/7 Emergency room, things are rushed and a bit hectic. If you're looking for the lovey-dovey chill vet, this isn't it. But it's fine with me, they get stuff done. It's expensive. Get pet insurance.
Evan, thank you for sharing your experience and for trusting us with your cat’s care during such a critical time. We know emergency situations can feel fast-paced and stressful, and our priority is always to act quickly and do everything possible for the pets who need urgent help. We’re so glad we were able to be there for your cat when it mattered most, and it means a lot to hear that your pet pulled through. Thank you again for your honesty and for allowing our team to care for your cat.
Fantastic experience: A friendly and professional team. They helped us when our young dog had emergency surgery. Would highly recommend over any other emergency vets in our area.
We appreciate your kind words! Thanks for trusting us with your pet's care!
Fantastic experience: Vet gave her honest input on what she would do in our situation. It's horrible to get charged for anything like this but that is anywhere. Has to be hard on staff to let ppl know how much procedures are.
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We know conversations about medical care and costs can be difficult, and we truly appreciate your understanding. Our goal is always to be honest, transparent, and supportive while helping families make the best decisions for their pets. Your kindness toward our team means a lot.
Positive experience: Elsie was seen there February 5th. The staff were like robots going thru the motions. No emotion or even empathy was felt. I was a. Nurse. When I got to the point that death didn’t affect me, I got out of the business. It can’t be easy putting animals down , as an emergency hospital, you see it a lot unfortunately. When you no longer show genuine empathy, you may have lost your way and need to take a step back for some self care. We appreciate you doing a job that most couldn’t. I understand that if you see death enough , you put up walls, and become somewhat immune to it. But this was an eerie experience. Professionalism was apparent, but empathy was not. Maybe you all need some self care. Just. A suggestion. Thank you for making Elsie comfortable and laying her to rest.
Negative experience: DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO GRADY VETERINARY CLINIC. This place is all about money, not animals. I was charged for a full physical exam my dog didn’t receive. I was with my dog the entire time, and nothing resembling a physical was done—no exam checks, nothing. I still spent over $500 on bloodwork and medication. When I called them out and asked them to simply do the exam I already paid for, they hit me with this scammy nonsense: “The bloodwork is the physical.” No, it’s not. Bloodwork is bloodwork. A physical exam is a physical exam. Then they told me I’d need to pay again if I wanted an actual exam. So basically: charge you for services, don’t provide them, then try to charge you twice. If you care about your pet and your wallet, go somewhere else.
Fantastic experience: I took my boy cat Monty in at approx 12:30pm on jan 27th. With urinary straining and not acting quite his affectionate and playful self. Office staff and vet techs were welcoming and got Monty seen promptly, inititally by techs and soon thereafter by Dr Miller. She communicated with me very well, listenting included. She showed compassion and professionalism, making me know Monty was in good hands. She communicated plan of action in diagnosing him, estimated cost of everything prior, and quickly let me know what she was discovering. X-rays (under sedation for my big scared/angry boy) examining his bladder also by feel and getting him to give a urine sample, the price was not unreasonable, expensive but a little more reasonable than past er visits. She found no crystals or blockage thank The Lord. Waiting on urinalysis for uti but with the meds she sent me home with he has urinated successfully. He will be on a prescription urinary diet. He might have uti but likely from stress.. he was going to be a big feline brother but I could not keep them properly separated while at work, he is now with another family member. Great exp, esp Dr Miller. Will be contacting about being Monty's primary vet
Thank you so much for taking the time to share Monty’s experience with us. We’re glad he was able to be seen promptly and that you felt supported and well-informed throughout his visit. Our team works hard to communicate clearly, show compassion, and ensure pets are comfortable—even during stressful situations—so it’s wonderful to hear that the plan of care, cost transparency, and follow-up made a positive difference for you. We’re especially happy to hear Monty is on the path to feeling better. Thank you for trusting us with his care, and we’d be honored to welcome him as a primary patient.
Negative experience: This is the WORST vet I have ever been to. Seriously. A couple months ago we had a cat with a recurring UTI and brought her in for help/meds. THREE times they could not get a urine sample from our cat and made zero attempt to try and wait for her to pee or have us try and get a urine sample. I understand if the cats bladder is empty they can’t get a sample but they made no attempt to help besides throwing meds at us which only helped for a short time until we switched to a better vet. I figured this was a one-off idk. Maybe the vet just didn’t care about UTIs. This weekend our other cat started throwing up a lot to the point of blood in her vomit. Long story short we brought her in and they did some bloodwork and mentioned they assumed she ate something she shouldn’t have. So they gave her anti-nausea meds and didn’t want to give her an X-ray? We have zero clue what’s causing this so again they throw meds and a bill at us without ruling out other issues like a serious obstruction. They don’t even give you an option to keep trying they just push you out and barely even want to talk to you. Almost like… they did what they felt like and good luck! Absolutely absurd.
Fantastic experience: Our 16yr old cat needed attention for urinary problems. Blood noticed in urine! We called our regular vet and several others in our area and they all said she needed to be seen but none of them had an opening ! Common problem with pet owners, in our area anyway. Went to Grady 24/7 emergency vet. Every one we dealt with was kind and caring toward our little senior fur-baby. Everything was explained and each person attending seemed very knowledgeable. Overall it was an exceptional experience.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind review, Terry. We’re so glad you felt well cared for during your visit. It means a lot to know our support made a difference!
Fantastic experience: Our dog tore both ACLs (CCLs) in the same week. She is a 3 year old Doberman/Great Pyrenees mix so she is a larger breed (90lbs). We were recommended Grady Vet Hospital by our primary vet as Dr. Ward came highly recommended. We ended up going through with a bilateral TPLO surgery. This was a bit of concern at first but You can tell Dr. Ward is great at what he does through the conversations we had with him and the entire staff at Grady and also through conversations with other clients bringing their Pets in for similar surgeries with him. There was a confidence given in the work being done that gave a sense of relief in a time of difficult decisions. The entire staff at Grady is very professional and was great to work with. Our dog is now about 7 weeks post surgery and walking quite well and has the energy back that she had before her injuries. I dont doubt that in a few weeks we won't be able to even tell she just recovered from this procedure. Advice to anyone going through this is trust the process, and dont get ahead of recovery thinking your dog is back to perfect the first day you see them with a bit of energy. It is a long recovery but avoiding setbacks helps as much as possible. Lastly, when I was doing research on this surgery and different vet hospitals in the area Grady ended up being reasonably priced considering the high dollar figure that comes with this surgery.
Brad, thank you for your thoughtful review and for trusting our team during such a challenging time. We know how difficult it can be to navigate major orthopedic surgery, and we’re so glad to hear your dog is recovering well and regaining her strength and energy. Supporting pets and their families throughout the entire process is very important to us, and we truly appreciate your kind words, trust, and helpful advice for others facing a similar situation. We wish your pup continued healing and many happy, active years ahead!
Negative experience: Zero urgency for walk ins. Had to leave after waiting 3 hours without even making it into a room.
Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with this veterinary office. When we brought our dog in, they ran blood work and told us everything came back clean. We specifically told them that something under her belly seemed to be bothering her, yet they did not examine it or investigate further. Instead, they prescribed medication and sent us on our way. Less than a week later, our dog’s condition worsened, and when we took her to a different vet, we were devastated to learn that her uterus was severely infected. Unfortunately, it was caught too late for surgery, and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down. This outcome may have been preventable if our concerns had been taken seriously and a proper examination had been done. We trusted this clinic with our pet’s life, and that trust was misplaced. Losing a family member this way has been incredibly painful. Based on our experience, I do not recommend this veterinary practice.
Negative experience: We expected a wait. We had an emergency, our dog was throwing up blood and we waited over 3 hours to be seen. Once we were seen they talked about urgency to get her into surgery. They said they would get to her that night or over night. Then a shift changed happened and then another shift change and they finally got to our dog the following late morning. They called during the surgery talking about an extra thing they could do to help her later in life which got our hopes up that she was doing great. Not even 15 mins later they informed her that her intestines had ruptured and she was going septic. They had her for 21 hours before they operated. If they had got to her right away like they said they would have, our puppy who was only a year old would have survived. The front staff was amazing. That is why they didnt get a 1 star, the front desk saved them from that. The issue we have is the urgency. If they didnt wait 21 hours to start her surgery she would have survived and we wouldn't have had to tell our children christmas day that our dog didnt make it.
Negative experience: Worst veterinary hospital ever. I went it to get my cat checked out because he was breathing raspy and wasn’t as active as he usually was. They found out he was internally bleeding and we paid $3,000+ for basically no solution. Right after they tried to refer us somewhere else they put in my head that my cat wouldn’t make it there and it felt like they did that mainly to get money out of us before we went to the referred place. Of course from how worried I was about my cat I didn’t want to risk anything and was told to keep him overnight there for multiple days for no solution at all and they knew this.’This place is money hungry. They don’t care about you or your pets well being, they just want to get paid. If you can take your pet somewhere else please do so.
Fantastic experience: On Christmas Eve we had to rush my father’s dog into Grady, Reese was very sick, within minutes they had him in the back working on him. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to Reese, but the kindness shown to us by Dr. Grady and his staff, from the receptionists to the techs was outstanding. The compassion and empathy we received was very comforting in such a difficult time. The bedside manner, the detail in explaining things, even crying with us as we were broken hearted having to make difficult decisions was beyond expectation. Incredible place and staff. ♥️
Savannah, thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review, and please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of Reese. We’re honored to have been able to care for him and to support your family during such a difficult moment. Your kind words about our team’s compassion, communication, and care mean a great deal to us, and we truly appreciate your trust.
Fantastic experience: My female dog had 1 puppy christmas day. After 2 hours still no more. Took her to grady vet and they took her right back. There was a puppy that got stuck in the canal. They could not hear the heart beats of the others. They had to do a c-section on her. All of the staff was awesome Took very good care of her (precious). Said that they would try to save the other five she had. They called us after surgery, said precious was fine. And save the other babies, they resuscitated them. I'm so glad that we went there. Everyone was so extremely nice and helpful. Thank you. All
Thank you so much for the kind review, Darrell. We’re grateful you trusted us during such a critical moment, and we’re so happy to hear that Precious and her puppies are doing well. Your kind words about our team mean a great deal to us, and we’re honored to have been part of their care. ❤️
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing, 10/10 service! Both my dogs got attacked on thanksgiving and no other place was open near us in Indiana. Another vet recommend Grady and from the moment they answered the phone they offered amazing service. They got both dogs in and immediately started working on them. I’m so thankful for all Grady did!
Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad we could provide excellent service for you and your pet!
Fantastic experience: Was treated with nothing but compassion by every employee in the building, Dr. Grady is an outstanding human being. Would highly recommend!
Thank you so much, Olivia! We’re truly grateful for your kind words. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate care, and we’re so glad to hear you felt supported every step of the way. Thank you for recommending us!
Fantastic experience: Our cat Ghost for was very uncomfortable, even hostile, hiding away otherwise. I worried the vet trip might traumatize her more, but on the way home, unmedicated even, she was rolling around on her back happy. In the days following she was wanting to go out the door with me and I think she was hopeful I’d take her back there. The staff there was so perfectly caring with her. We have our cat back, she is so very happy and friendly now.
Myke, thank you so much for sharing Ghost’s story. We’re thrilled to know she felt comfortable, safe, and cared for during her visit. Hearing that she came home happier, more relaxed, and even eager to return truly means the world to our team. We’re so glad she’s feeling like herself again, and we appreciate your trust in us to help her get there.
Negative experience: Spent $3000 on my cat for his UTI. They sent him home in terrible condition and he had to be put down later that night.
Fantastic experience: Can not say enough great things about this place. Our sweet pup Scout had to have emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction. Everyone was so amazing, they explained everything so well and made us feel at ease through the whole process. Scout felt super comfortable with all the staff. We can’t thank the staff at Grady enough!!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Hannah. We’re incredibly glad to hear that Scout received the urgent care he needed and that our team was able to guide you through such a stressful situation with clarity and compassion. Knowing he felt comfortable with our staff means a great deal to us. We appreciate your trust during a difficult time and are grateful for your kind words about the team at Grady. We're wishing Scout a smooth and steady recovery.
Negative experience: Was told by them they had a special antibiotic for parvo and to bring dog down from Medvet in Dayton. Drove over 40 mins. Then waited over 8 hours to find out that they do not have it for our size dog. And they want to charge us for their lies. Left to go to MedVet in Cincinnati for real care for our dog. What a joke of veterinarians. They lied about the meds we needed and put our dogs life in even more danger. Would never go here again!!
Negative experience: Overall care for our puppy was good, however the wait times, and communication was terrible. We had to call for updates on our puppy.
Negative experience: This vet just does not have any sense of urgency. It isn't about the wait times (which is a min. of 3 hours without an appointment) It is just that they don't clearly hear your concerns with your pet. The worst part is the doctors are horrible with cats and seem even afraid of them. You will get better help if you have a dog. They are just off and the mood overall just feels dismissive. Just go to MedVet
Fantastic experience: Dr. Walton is fantastic. Explained everything clearly and took great care with our baby. I appreciate Grady Hospital and her so much. Thank you.
We appreciate your kind words! Thanks for trusting us with your pet's care! ❤️
Negative experience: My dog had a tumor removed and ended up blind from the procedure. No explanation. Should never had it done. I would rather have put her down then to see her as miserable as she is. So sad.
Fantastic experience: The entire staff is courteous and friendly and knowledgeable of the information they’re providing to help you with your fur babies! Thank you for your care Arkham and I
We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review!
Negative experience: Had to have my dog put to sleep. The lady that took us back and got our information was extremely sweet. The two techs that placed his iv were rough with him. He was already struggling to breathe and couldn’t lay down and the male tech held him down which made him more stressed and painful. Dr. Bones the one that administered the medication was cold. If it wasn’t for my sister grabbing my dog and laying him down Dr. Bones would have just let him hit the ground face down. On the hardest and saddest day ever the last thing someone needs is a Dr with zero compassion and gentleness to a family member ( dog) that’s very sick. Would not recommend this place or at least Dr. Bones.
Positive experience: Most of the time I don’t mind paying a extra for the emergency service. This morning though was the exception. First let me say that the staff did a good job. My issue was with the cost. We had to bring in our elderly dog to have her put to sleep. It seems to me that this would be a time where you would not want to add insult to injury. $485 seems a bit excessive!
Matt, thank you for sharing your thoughts. We’re truly sorry for your loss — saying goodbye to a beloved pet is never easy. We appreciate your kind words about our staff, and we also hear your concern regarding the cost. Our goal is always to provide compassionate care and support during such difficult times, and we understand how unexpected expenses can add to the emotional burden. Your feedback is important as we strive to balance quality care with affordability.
Fantastic experience: Our kitty was throwing up and acting funny so I called them and they said that was not normal for cats to throw up and to bring him in immediately. It was Sunday so I was just grateful they were open and answered the phone. It turns out he ate a ribbon and had to have emergency surgery. I was so scared and anxious, but the staff and especially the vet doc made the experience as painless as possible for us and our baby boy. They kept us apprised of his status the whole time and told us not to hesitate to call at any time. Can’t thank them enough for saving his life! He is recovering smoothly and we go back next week to get his sutures removed. Also price wise, I think it was reasonable compared to other places (not that was really a factor when your fur baby’s life is on the line) but telling friends and family what we paid they said it would have been much higher at medvet or other places.
Thank you so much for sharing your story, Sydney! We’re so glad your kitty is on the mend and that we could be there when he needed us most. Emergencies like that are scary, and it means a lot to know our team could provide care and support for both you and your baby boy throughout the process. We’re thrilled he’s recovering smoothly!
Negative experience: After our vet referred us here in an emergency last night, we called ahead only to be turned away without reason. The woman who answered the phone redirected us to places we had specifically said we did not want to go. Our Frenchie had a prolapse — a condition that does not require surgery, but does require immediate attention. Instead of helping, this 24-hour animal hospital refused to treat our dog, forcing us to drive significantly farther to the next emergency hospital. Thankfully, they treated us wonderfully. But for a facility that advertises 24-hour care, to be unwilling to help in a genuine emergency is beyond disappointing — it’s unacceptable. I am disgusted.
Fantastic experience: The Grady team took great care of my little floofy dog after he ate a bunch of toys. They had all the capability needed from xrays, surgery, and most importantly patience. The front desk was always very responsive when I called and Dr. Bones took extra time to go over medical imaging with me to help me understand the problem. This is the emergency vet that I recommend for anyone in Dayton. My dog is better, only 1 hr waiting, and the cost was very reasonable.
Fantastic experience: On Monday our precious dog Rags A. Muffin got very sick suddenly. He couldn't stand up on his own and was breathing was very labored. We took him down to Grady Vet. As we started to enter the door the front desk clerk saw us coming in distraught. She came running around the desk, grabbed Rags out of our arms, asked us for permission to treat and ran Rags straight back to the doctor. (I'm very sorry to those people who were waiting to be seen, but this was truly an emergency.) They called us back pretty quickly and explained what was happening, what our options were, etc. They took us back to see Rags and we were touched to see that one of the techs was with Rags and petting and comforting him like he was her dog. We made the very difficult decision to let Rags go. We stayed with Rags until he was gone, singing his favorite song to him and kissing his nose like he always kissed our nose. Today we recieved a beautiful sympathy card from Grady's and they included 2 of his paw prints and a nose print. On the back they wrote Rags, The Muffin Dog. The song we sang to him as he passed was "Do you know the Muffin (Man) Dog." This was very touching that they took what we said to Rags and memorialized it for us. I can't thank everyone at Grady Vet for taking such great care of our precious boy.
Negative experience: I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel this needs to be shared. My pet was hospitalized here for an emergency visit and stayed for two days. When I went to pick him up, they had lost part of his medical files, and I was told I needed to return later in the day to get them. I live an hour away, so this was not only inconvenient but completely unacceptable given the seriousness of the situation. The staff came across as disorganized and inconsiderate, which is the last thing anyone should have to deal with during an emergency. I have dealt with many animal care providers over the years, and this was by far the most unprofessional experience. I will never return and strongly recommend that others look elsewhere for their pets’ care.
Negative experience: Please for you and your pets life avoid here, I waited over 4 hours and no one ever saw me. I was waiting and freezing on the floor, no one even talks to you. I could go on more but I wont give them another moment of my time. But maybe this review will help other to go other places, that care about you and your animals.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Swinney and Amy were sensitive, caring, knowledgeable and understanding through our difficult time with our dog, Dudley. Thank you. Jim and Cliff
Fantastic experience: On every level 110% couldn’t of asked for better care for my sick dog. Extremely nice, extremely professional. Went in as a crappy emotional mess with no sleep , left knowing our pooch was better. Can not recommend enough so thankful for everybody there today.
Fantastic experience: I’ve now trusted Grady Veterinary Hospital with two life-or-death emergencies, a year apart — and both times they proved beyond doubt that they are the absolute best at what they do. The first time was last year, when Zaydan’s mom suddenly became very sick shortly after having her puppies. It was terrifying, but the Grady team immediately went into action. They moved with urgency, explained everything clearly, and treated her like family. Their quick thinking and skill saved her life, and from that moment forward, I knew I could trust them with anything. That trust was tested again recently when Zaydan himself faced a crisis. Somehow, he had ingested meth and THC — something I never imagined I’d be dealing with as a dog owner. Based on surrounding circumstances, we strongly believe this may have been an intentional poisoning by a next-door neighbor. While there is no video or direct proof, the situation makes no logical sense otherwise. I live in Florence, Kentucky, so you can imagine the sheer panic of seeing your dog seizing uncontrollably and having to rush him onto the interstate, praying every second that you’ll make it in time. It was a long, tense drive, but I knew Grady was the one place that would have the skill, equipment, and compassion to give him a fighting chance. When we arrived, the staff didn’t waste a second. They stabilized him, ran the right tests, and confirmed the toxicology results were conclusive. They even advised me on how to handle a powdery substance found outside to prevent further risk. Both times, their professionalism, compassion, and speed made the difference between losing a family member and getting more time together. They gave constant updates, never left me in the dark, and genuinely cared about the outcome. I will always be grateful for Grady Veterinary Hospital. If you ever face a pet emergency — no matter how far the drive — they are worth every single mile. They don’t just treat animals; they save lives.
Negative experience: I REALLY used to love this place. A lot. But after Covid hit, now I can’t ever get an appointment that isn’t weeks or a month or more out. If I have an emergency, you have to wait for hours and hours to be seen. Unfortunately, my cat had to be put to sleep and it was EXTREMELY expensive! We usually like to have our animals put down at home so they are comfortable and not afraid but my cat wasn’t going to make it and I didn’t want her to be in pain. Literally 3x’s as much as it cost for someone to come to my house. I think since we only have two animals remaining, we will switch to another vet by my house that is also open 7 days a week, just not 24 hours. But the staff was always extremely helpful and kind. I don’t feel their fees are excessive in any other area. ADD** I brought my dog in because he was having a hard time standing and neurological issues because it’s listed as a 24 hour hospital, which to me means excepts patients 24 hours for EMERGENCIES, but we were turned away because the doctor was in surgery then had to drive an additional 20 minutes to the next emergency hospital and by the time we got there my dog almost died. He was unresponsive. Thanks so much. **EDIT AGAIN** I will never trust or use this hospital ever again. I guess because I’m a human that worked in an ER, that means to me that you see emergencies. Especially actively dying patients. Saturday at 3:30AM, was the SECOND time that their doctor was in surgery and couldn’t see my dying dog and I was sent another 20 minutes away. This time I was smart enough to call first because I knew my dog was going to die, and they are less than 5 miles from my house? Well, don’t bother to go here if you have a dying animal in the middle of the night, I highly recommend The Animal CARE center. They immediately took us in and were able to get our dog comfortable and out of pain so we could say goodbye.
Negative experience: We have been waiting for 2 hrs..our puppy is vomiting!! They are terrible!! Also smells like nursing home!! Dont come here!! Nothing urgent in this place!!
Fantastic experience: Excellent care given during an emergency visit. Every staff member as well as both doctors who took care of our little dog were amazing. Never felt rushed and took time to explain everything very thoroughly. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: I've went to Gradys since the older Dr.Grady was down the street from the present one.I just had to put my Blue cat down and now my Alto stopped eating,I was so scared I got Blessed Dr.Gradywas there and it was just ear mites.Me thinking a tooth.Nope cleaned the worst stuff out meds and home. There is no place I trust with my kids. And I demand good care if I adopt a pet it's my responsibility to care, and someone tossed her out so if you need a trusted vet GRADY is the place I trust.Thank You GOD
Fantastic experience: My dog had a cancerous mass removed from her trachea by Dr. Ward (who was referred by my dog's Oncologist). He explained things to me with patience and expertise. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful in every way. I highly recommend this vet hospital (coming from a past vet assistant).
Fantastic experience: We had a veterinary emergency and our vet recommended taking our pet to Grady for treatment. The staff were universally kind and helpful while we were going through an awful situation, and let us visit with our little guy while he was being monitored after hours. Unfortunately, he declined fairly rapidly and had to be put down. During our family's small tragedy, everyone at Grady treated us with extreme kindness and support, and we were able to say goodbye to our little buddy and bring him home. The staff at Grady made a big difference in a truly terrible situation, and if my pets ever need emergency veterinary care again, Grady is where we'll be taking them.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my cats to Dr Quiles at Grady for many years. Dr Quiles is so caring, and knowledgeable. We’ve been through a lot, and she treats our babies like she would treat her own. I’ve seen other Dr’s too, who have also been nothing but supportive and kind. The whole team from front to back are professional , friendly and they make every visit welcoming. Thankyou Team Grady for everything you do!
Fantastic experience: When we arrived there was a 3 hr wait. We were there 6.5 hours total for our visit. 6 hrs just in the waiting room. So come prepared with snacks and things to do just like a people ER/hospital. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance and if you have someone with you that makes it easier. Once we got to a room, ALL the techs and the doctor were absolutely phenomenal. We ended up putting our sweet 12 year old girl down. But the experience was made much easier by all the wonderful people working in the back. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: My cat was just diagnosed with diabetes, she's only 4 yrs. old. She was released from rising Sun vet in rising Sun Indiana with a blood sugar level of 264! I rushed through the Grady the following day and they have been amazing so far! Dr Allison Rumboll was excellent. She was very thorough and explaining what they were going to do for my cat to get her sugar under control. She even called me approximately an hour and a half later to give me an update on my pet.
Fantastic experience: Our dog was digging at his mouth and was bleeding. We thought he may be chocking or stung by a bug. The team at Grady immediately and calmly took him back and pulled a stick out of the roof of his mouth. Then they didn't charge us. Amazing!!
Negative experience: Brought our dog in for an injury. At first seemed great. 3.5 hours waiting to get into a room. Took our dog and asked if they could take x-rays and took her back. Absolute lack of communication. At 4.5 hours our dog had not been seen. We understand there are bigger emergencies than what we had but when we did ask when we would be seen they told us there were others in front of us and not sure. Very disappointed! Poor customer service!
Negative experience: My dog was hit by a car today. I took him into this hospital. They literally told me that unless I had all the money upfront, they would not help me. They didn’t check his vitals or anything offered me a credit card to apply for to help pay and then two other hospitals which are known for their negligence An animal care I advised if you’re going to take your dog to this hospital or any animal to this hospital if it’s an emergency, don’t bother unless you have the money if you’re going for just to check up and stuff and make sure you have the money because they And not help you
Fantastic experience: If I could leave over 5 stars, I would! I took my boy here after he ate corn cobs out of the trash. I was so worried after reading about all of the damage corn cobs can do and how these incidents can be fatal. The staff at Grady (from the receptionists and the techs to the doctors) treated me and my boy with such care! I never doubted we were in good hands. They were transparent about what next steps could look like and were mindful of finances. They were thorough in contacting us about his progress and were very kind and comforting before and after his surgery. I hated that this happened, but I am so glad we have this facility in our community. May God bless all of you and thank you for saving my baby!
Negative experience: I have used Grady Veterinary Hospital for years and used to be happy with the care given to my pets but something has changed in the last few years. Unable to get appointments in a timely fashion (3-4 week waiting time) and emergency care is a nightmare! We recently took our dog in for Emergency Care and was told the wait would be at least 6 hours! We waited for about 50 minutes and not 1 animal in the waiting room was taken back to an exam room during that time. We chose to leave and found an Urgent Pet Care location in West Chester that took care of us immediately. I understand there may be some waiting for unscheduled/urgent care but Grady Veterinary Hospital needs to do better than a 6- hour wait time! I encourage you to Investigate your options before wasting your time and prolonging your pets anxiety/suffering!
Negative experience: If you love your pet don’t bring them here for medical attention!!! They’ll only squeeze the money out of you and do nothing for your pet! I’ve given this place 3 opportunities to show me that they’ll care and are knowledgeable about taking care of sick pets but they have failed!! I’ve brought my cat here because he was having belly/hip pain, not eating, not going to the bathroom, not moving from his bed along with one new symptom shivering (he’s had 3 flare ups like this so far). This visit (similar to past visits) they took him to the back to “check” his vitals out, when the nurse returned to from “checking” the vitals, I asked the nurse what his temperature was and she seemed shocked I asked and stumbled over her words with no straight answer, she once again took my cat back and said that the doctor would have to see him and left quickly leaving me with no response. I have a feeling they don’t do nothing back there but wait for some time to pass to make you THINK they’re doing something. I always get seen by different “Doctors” but this one by far was the most ignorant to her job, she couldn’t answer a single question, she dozed off in her thoughts, she kept daydreaming, she was really weird, her bad attitude towards me and my cat also made me instantly regret coming here. The “Doctor” wanted me to get my cat an another ultrasound but I told her my cat has already got it done along with multiple X-rays, diagnostics, and all the test that they offer. So far I’ve spent about $5,300 here, my cat has been hospitalized here for twice so far and they wanted to do it again this time but they never give me an answer of what’s going on with him. They act like they’re doing something and then don’t solve the main issue on purpose so you come on back and leave them more money. I asked for pain medication to be prescribed and that seemed to help my cat in the past but this time it’s not helping he seems worse in his health. If someone knows where I can take him please let me know thank you!! *UPDATE: my cat passed away, I believe the vet did something to harm my cat! The vet took my cat and exam him in the back and came back to say he was fine. I expressed my concerns to the vet concerning my cat she gave me a wicked (in a bad way) and took my cat into the back for a second time which is odd as my cat had been seen here twice in the past and the vets that had seen him, had only exam my cat in the back once (not taking him back for a second time). She gave him back to me and didn’t say nothing more and sent us home. We go home fall alseep, next morning my cat is paralyzed from the hip down, I take him to a different vet to get examined. I believe she did something to my cat in back during the “examination” as a different vet cleared him from any illness and him being paralyzed was to being injured, causing permanent damage to him. The vet at Grady hospital was too sketchy to be honest.
Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my dog here a few times for emergency injuries and every single time I’m so impressed by the staff. They are so kind and helpful! It’s always clean and the care is top notch.
Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good about Grady. Today, we had to make a very difficult decision regarding our beloved dachshund that caused us a lot of heartache. Dr. Grady and his staff were great! Compassionate and caring. I am thankful that they helped us through the difficult experience of saying good bye to our sweet doggie!
Fantastic experience: I chose this location based off my sister’s experience and it was close to home. The price was a little expensive but worth every dollar considering how my fur baby was feeling. I’m glad because my Middy is doing extremely better. She wasn’t eating or drinking anything for the past few days and she was constipated with upset stomach pain. Plus her bottom was infected, swollen with stinky fluid coming out. Dr. Shea was able to get 2 large stools out that were hard as clay. Gave my baby some fluids, cleaned her bottom up, medicine for the infection and gave me instructions for home treatment. My baby came home, went to sleep and within 8 hours later began to eat and drink again. Day later and her bottom is already healed with no leaks of stinky fluid. She is doing great and I thank you for helping her. Dr. Shea and her staff are wonderful people. I hope I don’t ever have to bring my baby back but if I do, I know she will get top notch treatment
Negative experience: Don’t bring your dog here if it is a serious injury. I waited here for almost 2 hours with my dog who could not walk and when I asked about when they thought he would be taken back, they said “I don’t know but it will definitely be at least another hour.” Not to mention I was the only person with an animal in the waiting room for over an hour. I ended up leaving and bringing my dog somewhere else. I recommend going anywhere else if possible.
Fantastic experience: Grady was recommended to me by my local veterinarian in Dayton who suggested that it was preferable to my local emergency veterinarian hospital. I found them to be very compassionate and no nonsense. They took incredible care of my pet and for two days gave him the attention he needed to get him better and back home :-) I highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: The staff was very comforting and helpful as I said goodbye to my sweet elderly dog. They moved quick as they knew he was in pain, but not too quick that I didn’t get a proper goodbye. I can’t thank them enough for helping us through such a tough time.
Fantastic experience: Hello everyone! My Gypsy Rose Lee at age 13, went in to Gradys referred by her vet. They were unable to help her in respiratory distress. The moment I walked in, the staff took her gently from my arms and rushed her to the back. Came and talked to me to reassure me. Dr. Walton and the staff were absolutely amazing scared I was losing my girl. Tonight I was able to bring her home. Yes she has issues. Ones her OLD vet didn't even know about nor detect. Thank you Gradys
Fantastic experience: It is really disheartening to see the negative reviews. Though I had to make the worst call any pet owner could ever have to make, I don’t think I would have wanted to be anywhere else but Grady’s with my sweet girl. They fought and they fought hard to save her life but unfortunately there was no amount of money or medication that could have saved her. Dr. Shea was our intake doctor and our doctor that oversaw our entire case, and I have nothing but praise for her and how aggressively she approached my girls treatment plan off the bat. Though I think we both would have tweaked it somewhere along the way probably on day two (because on day 3 things went south and nobody saw it coming) she still did everything in her power to save my girl. She even went out of her way to collaborate with MedVet to see if there were any last ditch efforts to save her because there was no amount that was too much for my girl. She did not have to do that. They took the burden off of me in my grief stricken state of mind and did the mundane things. They did not have to do that. So again, to see these negative reviews just really rubs me the wrong way because my firsthand experience was not that way at Grady’s at all. I guess it’s to each their own in their experiences; mine was exceptional even though the outcome was detrimental and not desired. My only gripe is the first time I called to check in on my dog, one of the receptionists told me “if we have time they will call you back” which prompted me to immediately drive down there because you don’t have time? You’re going to make time. However, do not let that reflect the care the doctors give. It’s the front desk and they get the blunt end of everything. Additionally, my girl was a possible leptospirosis suspect (she was negative) and the day we had to say goodbye like five of the vet techs kept saying “lepto lepto lepto” respectfully, I don’t care. My dog was my life and if mine goes with her, great. My dog was my soul. A piece of me died with her in the exam room and if the rest of me died because of lepto, so be it. We all have a time. I understand everyone has a job to do and you have to give the warning but grieving pet owners don’t care. At least I don’t. I’m sure that’s dramatic but whatever. The dog you get in your 20s and have with you into your 30s that you basically grow up with is a bond that can’t be explained, it can’t be duplicated, it can’t be replaced. That was my best friend. Other than that, everything was a really positive experience. Dr. Shea, Dr. Rumboll, and there’s a guy doctor who called me and they were all excellent. Also please understand this is an emergency vet. You’ll have emergency prices and placed in order of a critical need basis. There are patients that are literally dying in that hospital and I can fully attest to the fact that those techs and doctors give it 150% to save them.
Positive experience: Very nice and caring workers there. Feels just like an emergency room for humans but for pets. If it's after hours and you can't see your personal vet they are certainly a go to. They were recommended by my veterinarian.
Negative experience: My experience of Grady veterinary, I asked the receptionist can I go outside without losing my place and was told yes as long as I didn't leave the premises so I sat in my car 10min came back in and yes there was 4 pets in front of us they were seen and 3 more came in they were given the same clip board as i was so I know they didn't have a appointment either and they still received services before my puppy mind you I was there 2hr before I gave up I didn't cause a scene just smelled and left will never return to that place ever again.
Fantastic experience: They saved our cats life. Our guy ended up with a complete urinary blockage. We initially took him to Med vet but couldn’t afford what they were asking. We were referred to Grady’s. Showed up in the middle of the night and was beyond pleased with their knowledge and kindness. Our cat stayed for a week and had to have a catheter inserted twice during his stay. It was very touch and go when he first arrived. Ashley Bones is an amazing vet and saved him. We felt very cared for, were even allowed to visit with him in the back room, initially, so he didn’t have be in pain and didn’t have to be moved. We were allowed to visit everyday and received updates daily. I was beyond pleased with their care. They were much more reasonably priced compared to Med Vet and if it wasn’t for them, i’m not sure what we would’ve done. They saved us from having to think about a hard choice, during a hard time. Will be returning for all future vet needs.
Negative experience: They knew my cat was just fine, charged me $750 for xrays that weren't needed and blood work also not necessary! Hope you believe in karma people... it's coming for you eventually. My wife and I can barely survive as it is.. horrible place.. Don't go there if you can help it.
Fantastic experience: Day 4 of issues with our beautiful 12 year old Boxer! We had spent already 3 days at 2 vets, one was an emergency vet in NKY, we still had no answers to what was wrong! At midnight she was lying in her bed breathing very rapidly and moaning. Our vet in recommended Brady’s to us. We drove 25 minutes from KY and were taken care of very quickly. They brought a stretcher out took Bella back to assess her and immediately told us her chest was full of fluid and there was nothing they could do. As hard as it was to say goodbye we at least had answers that we hadn’t found to be able to say our goodbyes. We will forever miss our Bella girl but we’re grateful for the staff and quick answers vs 4 hours on Monday at an emergency vet with No answers!!
Positive experience: The nurses and doctors are always great! The emergency visit price isn't terrible. They di a good job communicating to you and very upfront about the pricing estimates. They made a mistake and accidentally charged me 2x for a visit and the next day I was mailed back a check.
Negative experience: Horrible, I came in there to bring my Guinea pig. She was already slowly dying and needed help immediately so I brought her in and they told me they couldn’t see her. But on their page it says they see dogs, cats and exotic animals so therefore that’s false advertising when they can’t see my pet that died because they couldn’t see her.
Fantastic experience: I recently took my senior dog who I believed had a stroke. They examined her right away and respectfully and kindly gave me the bad news we all fear for our pets. They were as kind as you could be, professional and efficient.
Fantastic experience: Everyone here was so kind, compassionate, and took great care of my Piper. This was our 4th opinion trying to figure out why she was sick, and they found out what her condition was. Piper had to stay overnight, and they updated us and when I called, they were very sweet, and informative (not at all annoyed). Unfortunately we had to put Piper down. They were reasonably priced in comparison to med vet and didn’t charge me for the additional ultrasound they performed bc we previously had one at another facility. I wish they were closer than 45 min from me bc if they were I would switch care for my other dog there too.
Fantastic experience: took my cat in at midnight, my vet tech was Jewl and she was unbelievably compassionate and kind towards me. she offered me a blanket because i was cold and she was the most kind hearted person i’ve met at a vet. whole staff was respectful and supportive in me and my cat because i had to put him down. dr. emily was amazing and so sweet as well. rest in peace slink.
Negative experience: **Cat owners I HIGHLY suggest you do not let Beth handle your cat** The general staff was kind and friendly it was the vet we were stuck with that I had issues with. We were stuck with a much older redheaded woman who appeared to be in her mid 50's early 60's (just checked the website I guess her name is Beth) and she was extremely unprofessional and rude. We took our 7 year old Siamese boy in for something as simple as IBS and she was impatient and aggressive from the get-go. She tried to imply that we needed to do all these expensive, invasive surgeries and to even keep him overnight at the hospital which would have costed us an arm and a leg. Every time we suggested something else or even slightly hinted that we thought what she was suggesting was a bad idea it's like she got angrier and pushier. She even had the nerve to comment "Well, this is what happens when you get pure-breeds" which was extremely rude and unprofessional thing to say to your customers/clients first of all, but completely irrelevant because all 3 of them are rescues! :) After she brought him back to the room after his tests he seemed 5x more agitated and upset so I can only imagine how she handled him. She seemed like she just didn't have the patience for cats and outright disliked them which if that's the case she shouldn't be in this line of work but whatever (also saw on the website she only owns two labrador retrievers and no other animals so that checks out). That woman was a nightmare and I plan on complaining to corporate about her because now she's calling us trying to force us back in there by denying him his medicine until he's seen again. That's fine we'll just take him to a vet in our area that actually has professionalism and cares about all animals.
Fantastic experience: I recently brought my dog in for a medical emergency and ended up having to put her to sleep. It was devastating, but every single member of the staff was incredibly kind, empathetic, and compassionate. In particular, I want to thank the woman from the front desk who stayed in the room with our dog afterwards so we could leave without feeling like we were just abandoning her. It was so sweet and kind, and made it a little less painful.
Negative experience: I have no idea what their care is, because when I got my pup there, they just said fill out this form and it will be four hours, and not one other word. Didn't ask what his symptons were, absoutely nothing. I filled the form out and left, have an appointment with my vet today. They did call me around 6:30 to say they had a room ready, and that was 5 and half hours later. I get this was on a Sunday, but showed absolutely no compassion at all. Sat outside for a little, and just saw the techs outside smoking.
Fantastic experience: I don’t normally post reviews but felt like I need to for Grady Veterinary Hospital…the staff at Grady are the most compassionate and sweet people that I’ve ever seen at a veterinary clinic! They were very compassionate and made sure that if I had any needs while there, they were taken care of. If I ever have a need for emergency veterinary services again, I will definitely be going back to Grady!
Fantastic experience: Could NOT recommend this place enough!! Very professional, the best team!! Came in with an emergency & although leaving my puppy overnight isn’t ideal, I feel so at ease knowing she is in great hands!
Fantastic experience: Grady was fantastic. My dog got ahold of one of our daughters’ toys with a safety pin and swallowed it. I was out of town and our vet didn’t have a surgeon available. My wife was recommended to Grady and my dog got in same day and had the surgery. They were so kind and did a great job explaining the surgery and making us feel comfortable! Can’t say enough about these folks.
Fantastic experience: I had to bring my beloved Boxer of 13 years, Rudy, to Grady today. He had a recent decline in health and we found ourselves needing to bring Rudy in to be put to rest. The staff, words can't express the amount of compassion and love they showed Rudy as well as our family in this process. When discussing Rudy's decline in health and condition, the staff and doctor showed an extensive understanding and knowledge of his issues. They gave us all options available and the care they showed to Rudy was the best I could ask for during this difficult time. Although Grady was not Rudy's primary care during is life, I am confident that he would have been in excellent care. If I would have known about Grady sooner, I would have brought my Rudy to them for his care. Thank you again to the Doctor and staff that helped us this evening, we are grateful for your compassion, love and care.
Fantastic experience: This place is by far the best place to take your fur babies. The staff is amazing, caring and understanding. My husband and I will never forget the kindness and nurturing behavior we experienced during one of the hardest times in our life.
Fantastic experience: We had to take our sweet old man to the emergency vet at 1 AM last night. The staff was so kind and caring to us and our good boy. I was too distraught to remember the vet's name, but I appreciate her caring demeanor in this awful, tough time. I highly recommend their services.
Fantastic experience: Stephanie and her coworkers are all so awesome and they take very good care of all the pets that come in and out of there. They seriously go above and beyond. Definitely recommend them as any pet owners first choice for their pet's healthcare!
Fantastic experience: They saved my dog yesterday after the quick onset of illness, they handled it quickly. She was evaluated, xrays, booked for an overnight stay, and all of it within 30 minutes of my arrival. A++
Fantastic experience: We had to bring our kitten in last night for an emergency situation. Our regular vet was unavailable and recommended Grady to us. We called ahead, and as soon as we arrived, the staff acted very quickly. Dr. Moore was thorough in explaining what had happened and the options we had. Unfortunately, our girl didn't come home with us, but I am grateful to Dr. Moore and the entire staff for their efforts to try to save her. Rest in Peace Ittles. Mom and Dad love you.
Fantastic experience: I personally have had great care here. They helped my cat when she ingested a Lilly and my dog most recently when he was sick with a gallbladder attack. We didn’t know what was wrong but they were in depth and he is now home and might be even better than before - which is saying something his his ripe age of 13. They kept us in the loop and explained things clearly. We would go back there. It was expensive but that’s emergency vet care. Luckily we have pet insurance. Photo of our dog on the way home!
Fantastic experience: They listen they pay attention very cost-efficient very clean they took a care of my fur baby really well and no complaints
Fantastic experience: The staff is wonderful, and I am thankful they were available. Our sweet new kitten found a fish hook. The drive there was the worst part. They acted quickly once we got there. Never thought that could happen. My boyfriend and I are still wrapping our heads around it. Apparently, it is common. She's recovering nicely. My main wish is that more of these 24/hr places open up. Driving 30 minutes while your loved one has a hook in their mouth and jaw was heart-wrenching. The photo was taken a few days after. Messy girl is eating, playing, and sleeping just fine.
Negative experience: Booked an appt with Dr Ward for my dogs torn ACl, 3.5 weeks out. After waiting 2.5 weeks they cancelled our appointment and said we would have to wait until April! Showed no concern for my dog waiting with a torn ACL. We will never use Grady Vet Hospital and we are warning others. Went with MedVet instead.
Negative experience: STAY AWAY from this place !!!! They have no communication skills when it comes to talking to people who have been waiting for 5 hours . They don’t tell you anything about what’s going on . They just let you and your pet sit there . It is such a shame if you have a hurt animal and no one is doing anything about it . It was said well there are more injured dogs than mine for 5 hours . I call BS. Then they move you to a room to sit for several more hours . Receptionist is extremely rude . This place needs to do better you are a business to help people and their pets and YOU did nothing for mine . After 5 hours I had to leave and find another emergency place . I already had 1 animal die while with Grady’s and yes it was lack of treatment. So I should have know better than to go back ! If I could give a 0 star I really would . Grady’s would be -0.
Fantastic experience: We rushed our German shepherd here but he didn’t make the drive. The staff still brought him in and handled us so well. They had patience, and understanding while we grieved and we didn’t feel rushed out the door. They gave us all the time we needed. We are thankful to have met such hospitality in our time of need. Thank you.
Positive experience: While the level of care is unmatched the cost is overwhelming no options other than credit or cash for payment no payment plans or other means to pay we were blessed enough to be able to pay but what about the one who cannot ? Does you pet just suffer or worse if you cannot pay ? I was charged $175 for a consultation that didn't not happen until after the surgery and lasted less than 5 minutes.. a little excessive I believe. The technicians are the heart and love of that place the doctors appear to be detached and and matter of fact with no compassion although I will say the care at Grady is top notch assuming you can pay for it.
Positive experience: Always call before going to check on wait times. Had no wait with a stray cat that was severely injured by a large animal bite. They tested for feline leukemia (negative) but had major infections with jaundice extensively throughout. Put it down (regretfully) & employees thanked us for even caring.
Fantastic experience: Taken multiple animals here, every time they are kind and patient, very caring to any situation. I brought my dog here for some serious bleeding and they acted quickly, and another time were able to get my dog the meds he needed for a serious rash. I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes. Prices seem very fair for an emergency overnight vet, and I will recommend this vet to anyone who ever needs any sort of emergency services!!
Fantastic experience: We went in with an emergency with our boy. They prioritized his visit. Unfortunately our baby did not make it. However the staff and the doctor were so kind and patient with us as I had a total meltdown down. They even sent us a card afterwards. Unfortunate circumstances for us visit them for the first time.
Negative experience: I have had many good experiences at this facility until today. The doctor was late for my scheduled appointment (some things will never change) but during my appointment when I was asking questions about my pet she looked at her watch and said that she was already running past her time with me and suggested that I schedule another appointment to discuss other topics. I have to admit that this was my 1st experience with a veterinarian who was too busy to help me understand and take the time to talk about concerns regarding my aging pets health. Although all of the other staff has been wonderful I will not be coming back.
Fantastic experience: Our very elderly dog had a quick turn of misfortune over a weekend and had to be euthanized. With our regular vet closed we came here and can't say enough about how well they handled this situation. They were caring, empathetic and professional and treated us like a life long customer even though we'd never been there before. Would definitely come here if it was closer to us.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful vet and techs. I had to say goodbye to the bulldog in the early hours a couple weeks ago. They gave me all the time I needed with her and when it was all done, they took Miss Ruby Booby Tootie Fruities paw prints which was an added comfort to the experience. So kind and thoughtful. Thank you for the card during the week following also. Even though it was a sad visit everyone made it the best they could.
Fantastic experience: Had what I thought was an urgent need for a vet visit on a Sunday. Had to wait for a few hours (more urgent cases came in). However, the staff were very caring and compassionate! The front desk triaged my dog upon arrival and when it was our turn to be seen the tech (Kristen if I remember correctly) took a very thorough history and seemed to be asking very targeted, pertinent questions. The vet was kind and caring, even though my girl hates the vet! Dr. Grady knew right away what was wrong, did not try and order excessive or unnecessary testing. She is recovering right on schedule for what he said. And all said and done, for a Sunday vet visit with labs and 2 meds, not terribly expensive either. Would definitely recommend!
