Everyone was so kind and helpful and pricing is super straightforward and posted online with zero surprises which was so nice. I actually still can’t believe how affordable everything was after being quoted over $1,000 at my previous vet for the same services. Even though I was really anxious I felt so much better after dropping him off knowing he was being taken care of. He is doing great the day after his surgery and back to his happy self!! I will definitely be returning and recommend this clinic to anyone looking for affordable, quality care for their pets. :)

The treated my pet so kind and gentle, they were thorough in the exam and in explanation, I was not rushed through. The Vetrinarian even came in to intorduce herself, even though she was not part of the initial interview. The facility was clean and didnt have any urine smell, which to me is a plus.

Experiencia negativa: Please update your website and your confirmation email to inform clients that there is zero grace period in appointment times and that you are unreachable by phone before 9am - even if your appointment time is anytime before that. I tried to call when I got stuck behind a crash, but was unable to contact anyone before I physically showed up for my appointment. I made it 10min after my appointment time, they had given my appointment away, and there is no cancellation list. They told me I could wait around and hope for a cancellation, but I need all the hours I can get and can’t afford to lose more to *maybe* be seen. Not to mention my cat was already stressed out being at the vet in the first place and I didn’t want to put him through further stress of being there all day and maybe not even getting in. Had I known or been informed earlier that you don’t answer your phones before 9am and that there was zero grace period, I would’ve turned around as soon as I realized I wasn’t going to be there exactly at my appointment time. I could have saved my cat the stress, and I made up those last work hours. There are very few low income vet clinics around, so I don’t think I have a choice but to go back. But the lack of communication and disregard is very disappointing.

Experiencia fantástica: Made an appointment online to have my kitten spayed. It's the cheapest option out there for those who don't qualify for reduced pricing based on income. Drop off around 730am was quick and easy process. Just had to fill out a form and pay the bill. They took my kitten back right away. They told me I could pick her up after 4pm. The whole drop off process took less than 15 minutes. They gave me a pick up time of 4pm. But then I got a text saying I could pick her up anytime after 2:30 so they were done early. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Attentive, positive attitudes, and very knowledge. My cat came back to me in a timely matter for his neuter. Drop off time was 8am to 3pm but I was able to get him as early as 1:45pm. The price was affordable too for all he had done which was the neuter surgery, flea protection, and getting an Elizabeth collar (e-collar). In addition, my cat’s nails were cut and the kennel was cleaned after my cat had peed in it, all free of charge. But the earlier treatments were under $200. Their hamlets were easy to understand for pre and post care which also contained many locations and numbers for 24/7 care in the case anything went wrong afterwards. Overall, I highly recommend this place for the best care of your pet.

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff. Unbeatable prices for vet care. I had my Cane Corso spayed there last year. The surgery went smoothly and there were no aftercare complications. While i was there i also got her vaccs up to date for a nominal fee. They were quite busy when i went for drop off and pick up of my dog. The parking is kind of tight in thier off street lot. But for the money i saved on all of the services i requested, it was worth any minor hassles that i encountered.

Experiencia positiva: I am very pleased with the care my pets receive at AHS, but would hesitate to suggest it to others for two reasons, both related to how difficult it is to get an appointment: 1 - new patients would fill the slots even more than already occurs. 2 - it is troublesome that we can't get an appointment at the level of urgent (as opposed to emergency) care. There should be some way to get a pet in within a week for something that is not an emergency but needs to be dealt with relatively soon.

They said they gave him a Churus, and he didn't even react to his shots. He was in a playful mood. So I could tell that he enjoyed the visit.

Experiencia negativa: The service at this clinic is horrible. I understand that this place is high volume but I everyone and every pet deserves better service. I have express this frustration to management at AHS and have never heard from anyone about my concerns and expect not to. If you have to use AHS, please be aware that their customer service is atrocious and they don't appear to care about that. they stand behind "high volume" and will tell you, as they did me, that if I am unhappy, I can go elsewhere. I will be but am concerned for the families and pets where AHS is the only way they can get vet care. They deserve so much more!

As a low income single person I was dreading urgent care costs. You have probably saved my dogs life more than once. AHS is a neighborhood treasure. I hope you are able to expand and get urgant care services. I love the online scheduler. I was able to get an appointment the next day. The sliding scale pricing makes vet appointments accessible for me. Everyone at the St Paul vet center is extremely nice and helpful.

I had canceled a later appointment to move to an earlier one, but somewhere along the way, the new appointment didn’t register in their system. When I arrived, it wasn’t showing even with email confirmation but the staff was incredibly kind and quick to reassure me that they could still fit me in without a long wait. They were true to their word as I didn’t wait long at all, and I really appreciated how smoothly they handled it. The technician I worked with was fantastic. Since this was my cat’s first visit, I had a ton of questions, and she took the time to answer every one thoroughly. She gave me great advice on helping my cat lose a bit of weight, walked me through ways to reduce tartar buildup, and provided microchip registration information. What really stood out to me, beyond their professionalism and warmth, was how transparent they were about pricing. The website has pricing for basic services such as a wellness exam or vaccines. Experiencia fantástica: I was very worried my Rabbit would not have been able to be seen bc of how aggressive she was.. however everyone was able to get her to calm down & even though I was panicking on the inside I got reassurance at least 4 times that she was doing great & that helped every single time to calm down.. I had no judgement when I had multiple questions & overall everyone was very kind.. my Rabbit is now recovering very smoothly & seems like she’s hardly in any pain after Spay surgery!

Experiencia fantástica: My dog was so sick and screaming in pain and the wonderful Vet at Animal Humane St Paul, Dr. Charlotte Flint, figured out what was wrong with him immediately (cervical neck pain) and sent me home with all the proper medicine to help him. He was better immediately under her care. I had taken him several days prior to that to an emergency vet hospital and what they gave me didn’t help him at all. Dr. Flint assessed his problem so quickly and we have our darling dog back thanks to her expert assessment and care. Her “bedside manner” was also so kind and reassuring for both me and the dog. I can’t say enough good things about her to really fully compliment her and the wonderful Animal Humane clinic! I’m so thankful.
