Experiencia fantástica: The Mariemont Vet Clinic is always a pleasure to visit! Great staff that never fail to make quality care for every pet, no matter how small, a priority. We’ve specifically been taking our leopard gecko and now hamster to Dr. Zola for a little over a year or so and I always know they are in good hands! Thankful to have found this vet clinic and would highly recommend for anyone and everyone, but especially those with non-traditional “pocket” or “exotic” pets!

Experiencia fantástica: This place is great! They got me in at the last minute when my dog would not bear weight on her leg. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and neat. We saw vet Ben, who was great with my dog, explained everything well, and took a conservative approach, not jumping straight to surgery. It felt like all of them made time for me and were not rushed. They even gave my dog treats on the way out the door! Overall, a great experience and I will go back.

From the moment we walked in until the minute we left, the staff was extremely caring and empathetic for me and my sweet Mariska! They gave us all the time we needed with her to say our goodbyes and were so helpful the following day when I wanted to add something for her urn, going as far as even calling Faithful Companion’s for me to ask the questions. I can’t say enough how comforting they made a dreadful day/moment feel.

Experiencia fantástica: We just moved to the area and we’re looking for a new vet for our dog Nova. We came across them on google and I had a great phone call with them that made me feel so comfortable and excited for Novas first check up. We had to make the vet switch so fast because Nova was due for some important shots at her 1 year old mark. They got us in within a couple days and were so helpful. Nova absolutely loved her vets both of them were males, but I unfortunately forgot their names. They gave her lots of love and were so patient and careful with her. She typically does not love male figures when it’s just me with her and not my partner as well, but she immediately melted into their arms and could tell they were good people. I will for sure be coming back. The lady at the front as well gave us such a warm welcoming so from the jump we felt great!

Experiencia fantástica: I have a 3y/o male cat named Popsmoke who isn't the easiest to deal with, every vet & hospital struggles with him & wants to sedate him because of his temperament. Mairemont Veterinary Clinic handles Popsmoke with ease, they find ways to ensure they can do what they need to do with him, and don't judge him for being who he is. 10/10 highly recommended Dr.Zola & his team ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: Friendly staff and vets. Never had a vet actually get on the floor to play with and examine our big, goofy Labrador!!! Knowledgeable vet which made us feel very comfortable and assured that our dogs condition will be followed and monitored. Pup cup was a bonus!!! ❤️

Experiencia positiva: Office staff is pleasant and very responsive to emails. The appointment for a new baby ferret felt overall rushed, and bedside manner was lacking from the vet. While all needs were met, I was hoping to find a more friendly ferret expert.

Experiencia fantástica: Mariemont was the 12th phone call I made to find someone to look at my very sick chicken. Not only did they say they do look at chickens, they even got us in that same day. Sadly, nothing could be done to help my sweet girl but Dr. Zola was incredibly kind, compassionate, he informed me of her illness, taught me how to spot it in my other chickens, and respectfully helped my girl go peacefully. If Google let me give them 10 stars, I would.

Always appreciate the time they take to help us learn and help our dog relax as he is always happy (excited) to go there. That really says it all - when your dog wants to go to the veterinarian they are doing things right!

I am a professional dog trainer of 12+ years that works with many dogs of many backgrounds and needs. I also worked in a small animal private practice clinic as an assistant for 2.5 years A client of mine has a 110 pound dog that has had some significant behavioral changes that warranted and medical workup. The staff at the clinic were amazing and allowed me to be part of my clients appointment to help them keep her calm and get her sedated so they could do a full work up. The care and compassion of the clinic and staff was obvious from the moment I walked in. Jessie so confidently handled the situation and communicated everything clearly. Doctor Carlton was wonderful and thorough in his communication as well about diagnostics and answering my clients questions. I have accompanied clients to many vet appointments over the years and not all clinics have been as welcoming. Again, I'm not a client here, but I helped this clinic handle a mutual client who is behaviorally difficult and I was incredibly impressed and happy with every aspect of the appointment and their handling of the situation. My cat is a sensitive little guy who’s prone to getting overwhelmed. They treat him with such gentle kindness and are incredibly knowledgeable. They’ve talked me through dental extractions to asthma management through GI struggles and explaining cardiac conditions. Absolutely top notch clinically and such friendly personalized treatment. They seem genuinely happy greeting every animal that comes through the door

Experiencia fantástica: A wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff is welcoming and professional. The special touches (doggie whipped cream treats available in the lobby fridge and little treat cups for cats in the exam rooms) are unexpected and a balm for nervous animals. Most importantly, the veterinary care provided by Dr. Zola and his staff is both excellent and reasonably priced. It’s so nice to know there still are small veterinary practices in our community that haven’t been swallowed up by big, impersonal corporations! I highly recommend Mariemont Veterinary Clinic.

Experiencia negativa: Not too happy with this vet anymore. It used to be such a great place, but I continue to have issues that feel like a lack of care from the staff. The last time my dog was in, they clipped her nails too short, causing them to bleed. My most recent visit was also unnecessary. I brought my cat in for a shot because I received emails saying he needed it, only to be told he had already gotten the shot earlier in the year. I can’t always remember which vaccines he has or hasn’t had, and I ended up wasting a morning bringing him in for no reason. I was told the system sent the reminder because the staff had failed to manually updated his record. When my last cat passed away, they were kind enough to do an ink paw print, which I appreciated, but they spelled my cat’s name wrong on it. It would have been nice for them to double-check the name, especially in such a difficult time for me. Overall, it’s just been disappointing. The staff seems rushed, focused on getting people in and out, and far less attentive or compassionate with the animals than they used to be. Really sad to say this, as my family has been going to this vet for over a decade.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog, Zara, was scratching excessively, and so I brought her in for evaluation. It was the weekend, and the vet on call examined her and found several possible infections, or worse, maybe a skin cancer, on her back. She prescribed a series of antibiotics. By the time the 10 days of dosing Zara, the infections are gone. i'm very im0ressed.

I brought my new kitten in who needed to get shots and they did it seamlessly and gave her a yummy treat after too! Wasn’t too expensive for the shot I did get. Definitely recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about Mariemont Vet Clinic. I recently moved to Cincinnati and had to leave a trusted veterinary partner behind. My Labrador is aging, he’s 13, and needs extra attention as he gets older. We were able to get in quickly and when my dog was not well the day of our appointment they were able to fit us in early. A few days later I needed an emergency visit because my pup wasn’t eating and acting unusual. They got me right in and the staff again were so caring and supportive. The vet took time to really make sure that I understood options for my dog and we put a new medication plan together that we were comfortable with. The best part is my dog is feeling better. I am so happy I found Mariemont. Especially when you have an aging dog and you are scared about what lies ahead, everyone has been so caring and positive. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: My Labrador Retriever, Bailey, has been receiving acupuncture treatments at this clinic for her arthritis and now renal failure. They are so kind and gentle with her as she is nearing 16 years of age. When your pet needs this type of treatment, time is of the essence. Many acupuncturists were months out to even get her started if they would see her at all. MVC was able to get her scheduled in less than a week which was awesome. The doctor listens to my concerns, adjusts her treatment according to problem areas and treats her with such compassion. She has been responding well to the weekly treatments. Everyone that works here has been so kind, helpful and understanding even though we are only receiving acupuncture care. A first class establishment that I highly recommend to others.

Mariemont Veterinary Clinic was able to get us in for an appointment the very next day after our call. Dr Ben and the staff were very caring and made the kitties and me feel very welcomed. The are no longer here. They have passed over to the Rainbow Bridge. I would not trust my babies anywhere else. Experiencia fantástica: I recently visited Mariemont Veterinary Clinic with my senior aged cat. She was not doing well and I was distraught. The clinic staff treated my cat and I with incredible compassion from the moment we walked in until the moment I walked out, without her. Dr. Zola was so wonderful. He gave me time and space to process her passing as well gave me ample amounts of time and moments alone with her, before she passed away. He explained all that he was doing to both comfort her and help her cross the rainbow bridge. I was able to sit on a soft couch like bench holding her as she took her last breath. The entire process was actually beautiful in a way, the very best I could ask for under the circumstances. The vet tech we worked with was absolutely wonderful- even meeting me down on the ground where I was stroking my cat in her final hours, to sign paperwork. The entire process was all I could hope for under extremely sad circumstances. Words cannot express how grateful I am to this clinic. I would recommend them the any and everyone who has a pet in need of any type of care. Thank you doctor and thank you staff from the bottom of my heart.

Always very happy with Dr. Zola and the staff at Mariemont veterinary clinic! Can’t thank you all enough and highly recommend! Once again, a positive & comforting experience at Mariemont Vet Clinic. Brought in my senior labradoodle this week, senior puppy mill survivor last week. Whether ear infection, joint pain, cysts, anxiety, or Cushing’s disease - each problem is addressed carefully and all questions answered. It’s easy to see the genuine care both vets have for each pet. Support staff are thorough and careful at relaying information. And the newly remodeled setting is calming and comfortable for pets and people alike. Another feature I really appreciate is the ability of appointments, since older pets seem to turn on a dime sometimes, and there’s no waiting for a week or more to be seen. I’d recommend this practice to anyone, special bonus being that they accept all sorts of pets that others don’t take! Thank you all for being there

Experiencia fantástica: Exotic vets are not always easy to find and when my squirrel Charlie needed to be seen, I took him to see Dr. Zola. I was so thankful they were able to get me in later the same day. I really appreciated Dr. Zola’s attention to detail and the time he took to make sure my fur baby received the best care possible, while still making sure I had no questions about the care or medication he was receiving. When I left there I felt confident that Charlie would be fine. It’s been 7 days. I am happy to say Charlie doing great and is back to his normal, playful self. None of us look forward to needing to visit the veterinary clinic, but when you do, you need to have a doctor you can trust. You will find that with Dr. Zola.

I talked to so many emergency vets in Kentucky and Ohio, none of them could see my baby. But they did!!! Her eye was really swollen, they gave me eyes drops to help her, and she is doing much much better. Thank you for taking care of my Noodle.

It probably comes as no surprise that it is very difficult to find a vet that will see a sick baby chicken, so when Mariemont Vet Clinic said those beautiful words “yes, we see chickens!” I was over the moon! They got me in asap and were so friendly. Unfortunately little Hazel had to have one of her eyes removed, but Dr. Zola did an incredible job. Hazel is healing perfectly, with no issues AT ALL! Wow, I really can’t thank them enough. I love my chickens and am so happy I now have a place to take them to when needed. Without Dr. Zola and team, who knows what would’ve happened to little Hazel.

Im usually nervous about taking her to the vet but not anymore. Hes aware of just how spicy she is and he does a fantastic job with her lol

Experiencia fantástica: The vet was great. He spent 45 min with my bird and diagnosed and treated her. She’s feeling much better. He even followed up the next day ! Everyone was amazing.

Experiencia negativa: Would give zero stars if possible. Zola has a massive ego and makes determinations based on his own stereotypes/assumptions. He possesses very little actual knowledge, cannot answer basic questions, and tries to downright bully people who question him. We had experienced several concerning symptoms from our dog before taking him in. Zola decided our dog had no medical problems before even conducting a physical examination of the animal. The moment he heard the dog came from a shelter he dismissed these medical issues we asked him to treat as “anxiety” and told us we either had to put the dog on anti-anxiety medication for the rest of its life or return it to the shelter. We had to argue with him to do a basic blood test instead and it turned out, as we had been telling him, the dog had medical issues. Even when confronted with this evidence he twisted the facts and desperately tried to make out that we had somehow not told him enough information when he simply refused to listen/based his diagnosis on zero evidence. Then he did a complete 180 and claimed our dog had a rare disease and needed chest x rays and cardiology. We took the dog to a qualified vet, gave him the same information, and he quickly diagnosed our dog with a simple medical condition after doing a physical examination and put him on an effective treatment plan. Go to any other vet, this man has no idea what he is talking about.

He was incredibly friendly, efficient and skilled with her, and her sutures are completely invisible! (Pictured is my baby still all high off of the sedation) He even helped me figure out how to give my pet her meds safely, which lessened my anxiety immensely! I'm 100% coming back with all my animals

They have listened to every question and concern I have had regarding my shelter rescue dog, Pumpkin. They have been invaluable in getting him healthy and keeping him healthy! I recently moved and now drive over an hour away to see them and it is well worth every bit of the drive to get such compassionate and competent care. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Experiencia fantástica: I had an appointment right after they remodeled their main location, so it was a little barren but it was nice and clean. I could not believe how quickly I was in and out. Not because they rushed, but their setup was just very efficient. As soon as I was checked in, I was sent to a room. I was in the room for only a minute or so before the vet came in. We were never really just sitting around waiting, which was great since my dog (like many dogs) gets anxious at the vet. We saw Dr. Carlton and he was so sweet to my dog and also honest about his health, I did not feel that he overlooked my concerns nor did I feel that he tried to make them seem worse than they were to sell me services, which has happened at past vets. We will definitely be coming back for his next check-up.

What really stood out was how safe and soothed she felt during her acupuncture treatment, which I never imagined would go so smoothly. I believe his presence and thoughtful handling played a major role in how well she responded. It’s rare to find a vet who combines clinical skill with such genuine care.

Experiencia fantástica: When it was time to say goodbye to my dog, Dr. Zola and Tori were so compassionate and affirming and kind to both me and the dog. Also, their remodeled office is designed so that I had complete privacy during the whole process, and when I left the room there is an exit door directly to the outside. That is so thoughtful. The pain of losing a beloved dog was made so much easier because of the caring of these two individuals. Furthermore, when my dog was diagnosed with lymphoma many months ago, Dr. Zola twice spent plenty of time on the phone with me, answering questions so that I could consider various treatment options.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was convinced that I was going to need to spend a ton of money to get an X-ray and/or and MRI. Dr. Ben thoroughly examined my dog and simply prescribed ibuprofen. It is refreshing when doctors don’t go to an extreme treatment right off the bat and opt for a conservative diagnosis at first!

I was immediately impressed by the knowledge, professionalism, reasonability, and genuine care of Dr. Ben and Dr. Zola. They took great care of my dog efficiently and effectively. I would recommend them to anyone who loves their pet and wants the best care for them. Also- pets are expensive and I was expecting a huge financial burden for what my dog needed help with. When Dr. Ben told me the total cost for the care my dog needed, I couldn’t believe how affordable it was. It just goes to show Dr. Ben and Dr. Zola are in the business to take care of the animals they love AND to help pet owners do the same. 10/10 experience, 10/10 care. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
