Experiencia fantástica: nged from Banfield last fall to HSHV. HSHV has done major dental and treatments for pancreatitis and follow ups for my 15 year old Maltese/Yorki mix. In addition to being very knowledgeable and professional the physicians, their physician assistants and admin staff are all very compassionate and patient. They also go above and beyond when caring for the animals and the cherry on top is the rates are more affordable. I’m so very glad I made the switch.

Experiencia negativa: A good alternative to other private vets as the prices are slightly cheaper, however it’s hard to get an appointment without booking weeks in advance. I had a bad experience with what seemed like 2 very inexperienced vet techs that scruffed my 4-month kitten to give her her vaccines (a total of 3). They did not give her any treats, try to pet her, or build any rapport and went right into scruffing because “she seemed difficult” (she had fallen asleep in her carrier while waiting to be seen and was upset to be woken up). It was very distressing to watch her hissing, kicking, and crying and as a new pet owner, I thought it was normal until I went to another vet and the experience was so much better and my kitten had no issues with the vaccine. Not sure if I just got them on a bad day or if the staff isn’t very experienced with young kittens but the experience has deterred me from coming here again. Just hope this is not routine and other cats are having better experiences

Experiencia fantástica: I have three rescued dogs, two females, one, my lab, is young and goes into heat so I have to keep the male separated from the girls inside. He has been living in an enclosed porch. It’s warmer there than outside but he was still needed to come in. I went to the humane society to surrender him with the request to adopt him once he has been vaxed and neutered. But they surprised me and scheduled him free of charge for his surgery. Within a week he received the care and came home to a welcome inside. He’s rescued and then saved. Finally a happy young potty.

The clinic was clean, staff was super helpful, and instructions from drop-off to pick-up were clear. Got told not to put my hand in cage after I had been petting/scratching a beefy boy on the head for awhile. had him grunting and rolling on his back and side. There did seem to be 1 or 2 dogs skeptical of people. Most kennels were clean.

During this visit, Dr. Berry and the team provided a comprehensive understanding of Shelby and Bandit's current health status. Dr. Berry and Courtney, the Veterinary Technician, offered essential guidance and medication to support the cats' recovery and long-term wellness. The associated costs were very reasonable, and Shelby and Bandit were demonstrably comfortable with and affectionate toward Dr. Berry, Courtney, and the entire staff.

Appointments do take much longer to get, but the staff is present and compassionate with a cost of about one quarter the price.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my 5-month-old puppy here to get spayed, and they were wonderful! Her recovery has been smooth sailing, and incision has been healing up perfectly. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. I could tell they really love animals and their jobs. The spay was also extremely cost effective, around $260, compared to local vets who wanted to charge me upwards of $700. It was absolutely worth the 50 minute drive to come here instead! I would highly recommend this vet clinic to anyone! Especially if you need quality vet care on a budget!

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed with my experience yesterday with my sick dog angel they didn’t properly examine her at all the just listen to her heart and stomach and gave me meds and sent me on my way knowing how sick my dog is she has black tar diarrhea she won’t eat at all she’s sleeping all the time isn’t she isn’t her self at all she’s on a rice and chicken diet right now she won’t even eat that I know there is something more wrong with her they didn’t even do a blood draw to check for anything or a Xray or check her temperature at all by doing blood work and a Xray I could of told us exactly what’s going on X-ray or CT scan would of showed if there is anything going on in her stomach but no they couldn’t do the proper exam they did half ass I’m so disappointed my baby is still not getting better at all I’m so scared and worried

Experiencia fantástica: I am so grateful for the care we recieved here! We rescued 3 farm kittens, and within weeks each needed to see a vet for injury / illness. A local animal hospital did expensive tests and prescibed surgery. HVHS offered more affordable options. We surrendered 2 cats to be treated (surgery) and re-homed. I was sad but so relieved these kitties could be saved! 3rd cat is recovering well on antibiotics, didn't require surgery, and treatment was affordable, so we got to bring him back home. Skillful and compassionate staff taking excellent care of pets and their people!

We have never had any trouble with scheduling within 2-3 months for an appointment, and we are usually able to get an appointment the next month. The vets we have worked with have been patient, answered all our questions, and have been great at explaining things to us. The vet techs have been just wonderful and always kind!

They offer affordable and accessible services like help with pet food, temporary shelter for pets for people who need emergency, short-term help, and low cost veterinary care in an area where that isn't very common. All of the staff are always so friendly and compassionate while also providing comprehensive and knowledgeable care. The buildings are kept in great shape and HSHV comes up with really fun ways to get involved and contribute in ways like charity dinners and 5Ks!

Experiencia fantástica: I have taken all my pets to the HSHV Clinic in the last 18 months, some for routine care and some crisis-care. The vets, techs and office staff are extremely kind and compassionate. I have an anxious/reactive dog who actually loves going to the clinic every 4 to 6 weeks for his nail trims. He makes friends with all the staff and voluntarily holds out his paws for nail trims! The rates for routine services are extremely affordable and they even worked with me, financially, last year when my cat was terminally ill. If you have an anxious or reactive pet, I highly recommend this clinic for their compassionate and professional care.

The prices are affordable, and they accept Care Credit. I had all of my questions listened to and answered with patience and compassion. When I picked my pup up, I noticed immediately how they took pride in trimming her fur neatly, not to mention how healthy the sutures are. She is healing nicely. They give clear and precise instructions for pre- and post-operative care. They also have the best prices around for vaccines. I don't mind driving an hour one way to get great care from them!!

Experiencia fantástica: When I found out that you can use Humane Society vet clinic, I was like "cool". My experience; when I walked in, I was 20 minutes early, sat down and waited for my name to be called. Not even 5 minutes after I sat down, my fur baby and myself it's called and went into the examination room. HSHV post there prices on the wall of the examination room. Still shocked that the prices were extremely affordable than your average Veterinarian Clinic. That was the first Pro, the second Pro is when my fur baby went in for a follow-up vaccines, one of the vaccines I was told if she's an indoor cat she does not require the folkowup vaccine, If I was at a regular Animal Clinic they would have gave her the shot and charged me. The Humane Society of Huron Valley also offers vaccine shots only, you do not have to see the veterinarian. Which I thought was really handy too. They do require to see your fur babies once a year which is common practice. I like that we have choices when using Humane Society HuronValley. The dollar amount for my first time visit, way under the price of a regular Clinic. For those who are reading this, the proceeds that we pay at the Humane Society HuronValley, goes back into the Humane Society that is why they can keep their prices affordable. I recommend calling your local Humane Society, but if you're out in the area of Humane Society Huron Valley (HSHV) dropping set up an appointment they changed my whole perspective of the veterinarian experience. I know the care is within the staff, it's not just a job to the them. Smiling Faces very professional kind compassion. I am having a hard time put the overall feeling into words, the best experience I've had out of all my years with my fur babies. My little Brandy, was so calm and that is because of the atmosphere being calm. They know how to handle animals, they don't judge you. HSHV was there for my fur baby, it wasn't about the dollar it was about the life the care of my fur baby Humane Society of Huron Valley thank you by visiting you, I know I helped keep the cost down, the treatment that you shown me and my fur baby what's calm relaxing. I will be taking my dog here going forward. She has her spaying and mastectomy on 4/3, and the cost is much less than what my vet wanted. The only downside side was that it took well over a month to get an appointment. However. It was well worth the wait.

They also gave me verbal and written information that was just as thorough. Everyone was so kind and they really seemed to care about my little guy. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I’ve adopted from the shelter before as well and, again, it was just an amazing experience.

My dog has been to HVHS before for spaying services but this was her first clinic visit with them. She is a highly anxious, large pit mix which makes me anxious as well. The staff and attending vet were patient, efficient and understanding with us both. Definitely would recommend.

My daughter and l are always pleased with how kind the staff and veterans have been over the years. I bring Mya to HVHS to have her nails trimmed. Mya doesn't want to cooperate but the staff soothe and encourage her and quickly get her nails done. I greatly appreciate their care and talent they have with Mya. Update: l took Mya to get her heartworm test-nail trim. She doesn't like to cooperate at all. But the soothing reassurance of the two handlers calmed her down nicely for the HW test. The nail trim she was held firmly by the assistant, nail trim was done quickly to Mya's relief. Thank you Constance

Experiencia fantástica: We love taking our fur babies here! We both have had pets our whole childhoods but now we live alone and have a puppy AND a kitten and HSHV Vet clinic has been great for us! We were worried about being able to afford good, quality care for our babies but HSHV has been affordable and extremely upfront about all of the costs, even for our pug who had to have a stenotic nares surgery. It's very comforting knowing we are not sacrificing the quality of care for the price. They have also been extremely diligent in taking the time to answer all of our questions and make sure we leave understanding everything that was talking about during our appointments as well as offering extra tips for things like nail clipping and teeth brushing at home.

Experiencia fantástica: Very caring and competent vets AND staff. I've never had a less than 10/10 experience here, and my last visit was no exception. I got an appointment sooner than I expected because I was able to fill a cancelled appointment slot. This was lucky because, BOY, they're busy!! Often you need to leave a message for them to return your call because they get too busy to take incoming calls. The only negative about my last visit was a long wait (I was seen at my appointed time but I waited 30 minutes to see the vet after the vet technician/assistant was finished); however I cannot downgrade for this. It just means they're busy, because they're popular, because they're excellent. And they were kind enough to give me a courtesy discount due to the longer wait. The vet addressed all my concerns, was thorough (and gentle!) with the exam, and the results from tests came back at the promised time, too. One oddity I will mention: the scale in the exam room I was in (room "C") behaved inconsistently, and I don't think an accurate weight was recorded for my pet. First it registered something wildly wrong (over 20 pounds for my 14- to 15-lb cat) and then even when the tech thought she had it corrected, it was still off by at least two pounds. Not an issue for my visit, but until it's checked out I hope that scale isn't used to determine dosage of any pet's medication, for obvious reasons.

Experiencia fantástica: This is by far the nicest and cleanest humane society facility I have ever been to. I made an appointment to have my cats neutered here after not being able to find an appointment anyplace else. The staff was friendly and professional, check-in and check-out went very smoothly. If they were near my home I would be using them for all my pets’ veterinary care. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: This visit was the fastest, most efficient visit we have experienced from making the appointment, to having 3 dogs heart wormed tested. The testing was completed in less than 15 minutes. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The low cost is especially helpful when you have 3 dogs and 3 cats to feed and vet bills. I have already recommended this clinic to all my friends. I requested the results of the dogs tests and they were sent to my email in minutes. Highly recommended!!! 10+++

Experiencia fantástica: I took my cat to HSHV to be spayed because it was a low cost option, but cost ended up being the least important of the great experience we had. I was SO pleased at the service I received. The communication was excellent, check in and pick up were quick and seamless and the team I interacted with were so friendly and helpful! My cat was well taken care of and I recommend using the HSHV for any services they provide!

Experiencia fantástica: I was able to get a same day appointment for a blood draw for my pup. I love that you call when you arrive and wait in your car and then they come grab you from there. Less anxious time for my pup! The staff in the clinic as well as at the front desk were kind and compassionate. There really is a job for everyone and they did a great job.

Experiencia fantástica: Helped with spay of my new cat they are so supportive, kind, even as a helicopter cat parent. It was affordable and I was able to get in the same month. They are available to talk or ask any questions over the phone.

Experiencia fantástica: It took a little bit of time to get in for Sally's spay and microchip. But it was definitely worth the wait. Much more affordable and the staff are very friendly and informative. They are great with all of the animals.

HSHV wants us to be able to keep our animals, keep them healthy, without the oversell of unnecessary treatments and diagnostics. They are friendly, professional, accessible and I trust them with my pet!

Experiencia fantástica: We took our 6 month pitbull rescue here to be spayed. From beginning to end, it was a great experience. Plenty of emails and texts with clear communication on next steps and reminders. I dropped her off just after 8 am and by 8:30 am I had already received her vaccination records by email. She had great experience and I appreciate everyone who cared for our Stella girl. It was a great experience for us. She didn’t even look back when they took her in. Just happy to go. Experiencia fantástica: I went to the low cost clinic that they offer and it was very efficiently run. They did a great job! All of the staff were polite and very nice! The prices were affordable, unlike so many other places. I went on two different days for my 3 small dogs. I brought my 1 yr old miniature poodle on the first visit and she was very scared, I wish they would’ve carried her to the back instead of dragging her by her harness and leash. The second day was better with my other toy poodle and shih tzu , they carried both of them to the back and I was grateful, especially since my shih tzu is blind. Overall it was a great experience and will be doing it again when their vaccines are due. Thank you!!
