Experiencia fantástica: Our visit to Animal Urgent Care was such a satisfying experience. My dog is anxious at Vet visits - both the vet tech, Becka, and Dr. Henckly took time to comfort her and gain her confidence prior to the hands on exam. They carefully listened to the course of her illness. All tests and procedures were thoroughly explained before done. Questions about aftercare were also fully covered. This was among the best experiences at a veterinary clinic that I have had. It is obvious that the people in this practice like what they do and care about their pet patients and their owners. I would definitely return to this practice and recommend it to others.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog to Animal Urgent Care for a skin issue when my primary couldn’t see her same day. Absolutely pleased with the short wait, attentiveness of staff, the thorough exam and diagnosis from the vet!! Great option when you can’t or shouldn’t wait on care, but not life threatening.

Experiencia fantástica: I don’t like taking our dogs to the vet because I’ve noticed the more we medicate our animals and human beings the worst off they are. But sometimes I exhausted my home remedies that are usually very effective, and cannot help my pet. I’m very glad to have this veterinary urgent care facility nearby. Our dog has anal gland issues and sometimes antibiotics are simply what’s needed Despite my best efforts and intentions. This practice don’t push anything else, didn’t start lecturing about vaccines. It feels like a person that you’d like to have next-door that’s looking out for your dog that helps you when you ask them a question. I hope this continues for the duration of this practices existence. It’s very convenient and reassuring to have them nearby. Thank you for the wonderful care you provided our dogs recently.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred by my dog veterinarian bcuz they had no emergency appointments available. I was very pleased with the way they run the hospital. It was clean and doctor and assistants were very nice and reasonably priced. I definitely had a great experience and would recommend this pet hospital. ***New post for my Charlie’s 2-10-26 second time at Animal Urgent Center*** This place is knowledgeable, caring, friendly, respectful and I highly recommend if your furry baby needs to be treated for any type of illness. Jason was my vet nurse and Dr Palmieri were a great team, they were amazing in explaining and listening to the reason I was bringing my Yorkie Charlie. From checking in on the website for my appointment, they treated me with the outmost respect. My appointment with Charlie took about 2-3 hours due to lab tests and explaining what the lab tests showed. I was emotional at the diagnosis that Dr Palmieri gave me, which was my Charlie has diabetes. I was told and encouraged it was not my fault and praised for bringing him early enough to be managed with daily insulin. My Charlie turned 8 on December of last year and he had a lot of spunkiness but a couple of weeks ago, it seemed he had aged so fast because he was not active and drinking a lot of water and urinating a lot. I am relieved to have received the reason and treatment for my Charlie’s diabetes condition. ♥️♥️♥️

They were super patient with her and offered lots of positive affirmations and treats! They handled her with care as she is an anxious girl. Will come here every time in an emergency situation!

I just needed to have someone check out my dog who was having non- life threatening issues but was very miserable. Neither my vet or other area vets had any availability all week. One of the vet offices I called suggested them and though it was a drive for me it went smoothly and the drs and technicians were supper respectful and understanding of my very nervous but non-aggressive large dog. They treated her w care and explained everything very thoroughly to me. I would recommend them.

I’ve been there twice on weekends over the past four months...and so very grateful for the opportunity to see a vet on the weekend without spending a fortune.

My cat Tenzing had been declining for a while with chronic kidney disease, and I had taken her there for help through one crisis five months ago. By this latest visit, her health had greatly deteriorated. The vet, Dr. Palmieri, and the vet tech, Anne, worked with us competently and compassionately to make a decision about ending her suffering. They guided us through the process, giving us plenty of time to grieve and to say goodbye. Thanks to them so much.

They clearly explained everything to me and took time to make sure all my questions were answered. Their prices are also extremely reasonable for an urgent care.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff took such great care of my dog! We had a very last minute emergency and they were so quick with treating her. They even let me go back with her while she was misbehaving, which I really appreciated.

Experiencia negativa: ⭐️Updated after I left the clinic ( I did my first review while still on site ) I needed to make several calls back as I was having difficulty finding the ingredients for a critical mixtures of 2 OTC meds. The recipe was not very clear and when I went to three different stores with pharmacies and couldn’t find it, I also googled the meds ingredients with very specific conditions and Google said no such product exists under that name that is flavorless and without sweetener. What also wasn’t explained was that I had to avoid xylitol which kills cats and dogs but that wasn’t stated. I’m a Su Chef, not a pharmacist. I was talking to one of the Vts & had an additional conversation with the clinic vet. Although he was very patient & talked me through the options , the information that was not listed on the paperwork, it was very late and critical time was wasted starting my pet in this concoction to alleviate his severe pain in hopes to get him to eat. The bigger issue were the vet techs, the gate keepers, who listen with the Intent to reply not the intent to understand what I’m asking. As if they have all the answers when the fact is, they were negligent with their replies. One was so annoying and dismissive, I hung up on her as she kept telling me the ingredients did exist and I had to look harder ( as if going to three stores already looking for something that didn’t actually exist) then I’m told to get it online, when it was critical to have it that evening, not wait a day or two for delivery as my cat suffered and would’ve gone 3-4 days without eating by the time it arrive. Both vet techs gave inaccurate, exacerbated versions of or conversations. And I hope if I ever chose to take any of my pets or rescue intakes to their facility, that neither of these two still work there. Angel was the most unprofessional, incompetent employee I encountered. Much so that I almost chose another clinic bc I was on several wait lists and was coming in from over an hour away and the ice storm had already started. I just had this gut feeling she was going to be problematic. That said, I have a concern of mistrust with either of those employees being part of saving one of my pets as their lack of competency and professionalism is highly questionable. I am thankful for Dr G but still ended up at my primary vet on Monday. The vet tech that assisted Dr was not very personable at first but warmed up in the end and I gave her a compliment she deserved at the end of my initial review. But when I called in to get help finding these very specific otc meds, neither VT were able to form a complete sentence to have an intelligent conversation to answer my questions. Thankfully Dr G was able to talk to me and be clear and concise which turns out what I was looking for was a children’s version of one med and a generic brand ( like CVS brand) to find the unflavored version of the other. None of this information was stated on their paperwork so I was basically sent in a wild goose chase after something that didn’t exist as written. I don’t appreciate my time being wasted by being challenged with dismissing my concerns by the VTs when I have a critical pet I’m trying to save. Thank you again Dr G but please update that elixir recipe for the magic mouthwash to include the exact details so there are no questions what a client is searching for. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’m thankful there are pet urgent care facilities to help when something isn’t life or death critical but needs more immediate care when my vet is closed. Their process to sign in on line is fairly intuitive and they text you when it time to head in. I live an hour away. So when I arrived , we were immediately taken to our exam room and the Vet was in soon after. Dr G was AMAZING!!! Kind, professional and patient. Listened to my concerns without rush and we were out the door in under 30 minutes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANN ARBOR ANIMAL URGENT CARE. Oh, the Vet Tech was really nice too although the accuracy of our after visit notes when I had additional questions was dramatically incorrect.

Jason was the tech this time and I so appreciated him taking the time to know my name and to ask if I was okay. I think he could tell that I was a little stressed; we were 4 days post enucleation and I was worried my schnauzer had bladder stones again! The superstar team of Jason and Dr Palmieri gave me all my options and put my mind at ease. Harry just had a UTI, whew! Taking the time to answer my questions means so much. He’s healing so well and I’m so grateful for this business. I truly wish they could be my regular vets! **** From the moment we walked in, I knew we were in good hands. I’ve unfortunately experienced vet appointments where techs or receptionists barely greet my dog. Such was not the case here. Angel, the vet tech, was immediately on the floor connecting with my Harry. The vet nurse who received us (his name escapes me) was insanely helpful and had reviewed my appointment request thoroughly before our arrival. Dr. Woodworth was also so attentive and went above and beyond to answer my questions. This is how veterinary care should be. The extra touches of kindness, like writing Harry’s name on his little bag of meds, did not go unnoticed. The facility was organized, a calming environment for sure. This is huge for a nervous dog. It means everything that you can stay with your animal during procedures that might be scary. Thank you.

I took my greyhound, Dougie, for an appointment yesterday, and once again we received outstanding service. They treated Nucky with love and antibiotics. The check-in process is efficient, the pricing is transparent, the office is clean, and best of all the team truly cares about your fur baby. Experiencia fantástica: Incredible experience. Needing care for your pet quickly is never fun, or easy but AUC made it as smooth as possible. For starters, joining the care queue was quick and simple and we received communication to stay home until they were ready for us rather than sitting in a waiting room for hours. Secondly, the level of care we received was top notch. We were greeted at the door and taken to an exam room immediately and had a short wait for history and examination. Staff explained everything to us clearly and effectively and vet tech Anne treated my sweet girl with love and compassion. Lastly, we were sent home with aftercare instructions and medications needed for comfort, and clear recommendations for follow up care and next steps. Highly recommend, if you need last minute care for your pets, AUC is the place for you!

Experiencia fantástica: I had previously accompanied a friend and her frail, elderly do to an urgent care visit and was exceptionally impressed by the staff and facilities. Due to an emergency, I had been caring for another friend’s elderly dog who had cancer. This little dog was in precarious but stable condition, adequately medicated for pain and eating and drinking, but took a turn for the worse on a weekend. We turned to you, who helped manage the of her life compassionately and painlessly.

They took such great care of my little kitty and did a great job explaining what was going on with her and helping me find a solution that was affordable. Experiencia fantástica: Needed to replace a syringe, 3-way stopcock, and lines I’ve been using to hydrate our 21-year-old cat (she’s doing pretty well by the way) and was having quite a time finding just the right ones. Online and local vets didn’t have them and could tell me where to find them. A call to a local emergency animal hospital was answered by someone who was very not interested in being helpful. Called the Animal Urgent Center (we’ve visited them before) and got a friendly, helpful person on the phone. “Just drop by and we can get you set up.” Dropped in and just like that she got me taken care of. Hard for a misanthrope to admit it, but evidently there are still kind and helpful people in the world.

They alert you when it is your turn to come in allowing for the most amount of time spent at home while waiting. This makes the process so much less stressful for me and my anxiety prone fur baby! Additionally, the did such a wonderful job listening to us as we explain the peculiar situation my cat is in. They ran all necessary tests and explained the next steps great! Additionally, once the results came back with unexpected (but good results) they sent a multi paragraph email explain why they believe this to be the case and what our next steps will be in seek care for our little boy! Lastly, when I had follow up questions Jason was sooo helpful on the phone and spent as much time as needed getting me all the answers! The staff is kind and dedicated to animals and owners alike! I highly recommend visiting them if you need your pet seen quickly and effectively!

Experiencia fantástica: Visited Animal Urgent Center in Ann Arbor for my cat that had a UTI on Labor Day when my normal vet was closed for the holiday. I was very happy with the service they provided, everyone I dealt with was very professional, kind and caring. They treated my cat with care and kept me informed from the beginning to the end of the visit. DVM Gunasekaran was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. AUC is very efficient I was able to set up my appointment through their online site which saved me a spot in line. I live about 35 mins away which they took into consideration and was able to wait at my home until they were ready for us. They advised me when to leave and that they would be waiting for us to arrive. Once we arrived we were welcomed and checked in and were seen in a very timely manner. The cost for the visit along with X-rays and meds was also very reasonable. I will definitely use AUC whenever I need urgent care for my pets. Thank you.

I was able to bring my cat in and the veterinary technician and veterinarian were extremely attentive and pleasant to work with. Should one of my pets have a serious health issue and my regular clinic has no openings, I will certainly come here again.

The staff was professional, respectful, and kind to our dog—they seemed to enjoy working with each other, as well as with the animals. I would also add that the prices were reasonable, and the protocol of waiting at home until contacted to come in alleviated extra stress and time in the office. We had heard good things about the Animal Urgent Center from other people we know, and can now add our own positive recommendation.

Putting your dog down is the hardest thing to do, but this urgent care made it easier and gave me all the time I needed with my old friend.

I called my vet to get in but they were booked and referred me to Animal Urgent Center. This animal urgent care was awesome! I love the whole concept. “Got in Line” at 1:51 pm today ( from home). Received txt msg saying they’d let me know when it was time to head over. then I got an update saying wait time was about 3-4 hours. Perfect. I was able to go about my day and didn’t have to wait at an animal hospital. At 5:40 pm I got a text saying to head on over. Arrived and was promptly escorted to a room. The nurse and vet were so nice and efficient. We were in and out. First time there and will never go to an animal ER hospital again. Pricing is very transparent too. Thanks. Will be a customer for life for urgent matters when I can’t get in to see our vet.

Experiencia positiva: The best thing about our experience was that we were able to get in extremely quickly, which was a relief because our cat was very sick and we were quite concerned—Our regular vet did not have any appointments available for four days. The next best thing was that the vet on duty, Dr. Palmieri, seemed very competent. She was friendly and responsive to our questions. Her exam and explanations were helpful, ruling out at least one more serious illness, which also saved us some money. (In other words, we didn’t feel taken.) The treatments she prescribed worked well, and our kitty was feeling better about 24 hours later. That being said, the logistics of using their website to get in line, and a self-checkin process upon arrival makes the whole experience feel a bit like a factory. Also, the final bill seemed a bit expensive, but not outrageously so. All in all, a positive experience, especially if you really have an emergency.

Experiencia fantástica: Was able to see one of the vets with about a two hour wait which is pretty darn good when you have a sick dog. Very responsive care from the vet with an assistant to help with some tests. They were clear about how much different options would cost. They gave good supportive care, found the possible cause of the infection, and I went home with an anti nausea drug and today she's much better. It's great to have another emergency care option. The last emergency situation, two places said "we're full up" which I've never heard in my life, and the one on Jackson Rd said we can see her six hours from now, which was my only option (they did a good job).

Experiencia fantástica: I felt well taken care of and seen promptly. The ability to sign in online and get in the queue is a great idea. The veterinarian was very thorough and compassionate. My only complaint is the on the wall iPad that is used by the pet owner to fill in additional details before being seen. It is cumbersome/awkward in location and not necessarily intuitive in use.

They were very honest and did not try to persuade me to do any additional testing that was not necessary. They are upfront with their pricing. The staff and doctor were very friendly. I was in and out in less than an hour!

Experiencia fantástica: Today was our first time visiting this clinic with one of our cats and we can’t say enough good things about the people and the place. The online “get in line” feature worked well and it was convenient to wait at home instead of in the clinic. Upon arrival they saw our cat right away, with no wait time, and the facility was very clean, inviting, and private. The woman who greeted us was lovely, funny, and helped us with the check-in process which was super easy. Both the Licensed Technician (Stephanie) and Doctor (Doctor G) were INCREDIBLE. So kind, patient, knowledgeable, great listeners, and provided detailed information of our cat’s condition, medication administration, and follow up. We hope to never utilize urgent care in the future, but if we need to, this will be the place we call. Thank you to Everyone who helped us get our good boy back to healthy!

Experiencia fantástica: So grateful to have Animal Urgent Center in town, it’s the perfect bridge between a regular vet and a 24-hour emergency vet hospital. We’ve brought our cats there multiple times when they’ve had an issue that needs quick attention but isn’t an emergency, and today was another good experience. Their online check-in and queueing process is smooth and easy, and much less stressful than sitting in a waiting room for hours on end. When my cat needed care today, I entered their virtual queue from home and headed over a couple hours later once they were ready to see us. I was probably in and out of the clinic within 30 minutes, and the staff (Dr. G and Ann) were excellent and helpful as always. Thanks AUC!

Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday, I had an incident with my dog Asher after returning from a trip up north. I hadn’t unloaded the car yet, and unfortunately, while he was sniffing around some fishing poles, Asher got a treble hook from a rooster tail lure stuck in his lip. I drove him to animal urgent care, and I can’t say enough about the incredible care we received. The staff was not only professional and efficient, but also incredibly kind and compassionate. They treated Asher with such gentleness and reassured me every step of the way. I’m so grateful for the top-tier treatment we received.

Experiencia fantástica: O my gosh. This was such a great experience. I do appreciate emergency clinics— we need them, but the urgent care clinic is so much less stressful. They texted me when it was our turn— no long waits in the car or a waiting room for hours. We were able to stay at home until they were ready for us. Big thanks to Dr Palmieri, Angel, and Jason. Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic! We have been telling all our friends and family- this needs to be everyone's urgent care vet- absolutely. I worked at a veterinary hospital for many years, so I feel I have special insight, and I was SO SO impressed. First off, AUC lets you sign up and tells you when to come in (and in our case we got in so quick!). I was SO SO relieved because every other place nearby to even get in line, your dog goes to the back and waits back there for hours for an appointment, which is incredibly stressful, especially for rescue dogs, like mine, where that situation is probably exactly like the last time they never came home or saw their family again. I don't want my dog to experience that fear, and not the easiest situation to diagnose a dog is my thinking, if it's not necessary. This great system also eliminates the waiting in the lobby stressing out as other pets go through the waiting room! At AUC, there was literally no waiting- they told me to head on in, we drove over and came in, and my dog, Yoyo, and I were absolutely immediately placed in a room! After filling out our paperwork in the room, it was a matter of seconds (literally) before Stephanie and Dr Woodworth came in! I literally logged into netflix (since as a previous vet hospital employee I assumed it would take a good while), snuggling up to my pup on their lovely couch in the exam room, expecting it would be a while, and they came in before I was one minute into the show! I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie and Dr. Woodworth. They were so kind and compassionate, and wonderful with my Yoyo. Dr. Woodworth let us know she didn't think further tests or anything were necessary in Yoyo's case- if you work/ed in the vet industry you know this is special as certain ERs will recommend all possible tests whether needed or not. The whole visit took the same amount of time as a regular vet visit, didn't stress my boy out, and Stephanie and Dr. Woodworth were so knowledgable- I felt so so much better about what was going on with my boy and he got the treatment he needed best of all of course. I felt so lucky to have found such an amazing pet urgent care- like I found a secret urgent care center that is absolutely perfect. And to top it off, when the bill came, I was actually shocked because it was cheaper than most of our vet visits. I probably sound like a bot, but you can look at my other reviews, I swear this is 100% real. Thank you Stephanie and Dr. Woodworth! Yoyo is doing great now! He is all better, and the meds helped him so much. Thank you for helping him and us and being so wonderful, and thank you for your system! Yoyo is a rescue dog and has a traumatic past, and I'm just so so so grateful that he didn't have to sit in the back without any of his family, wondering whether he would ever see them again for hours, while he was already in pain. Without you that would have been our only option. Thank you so much. I can't tell you what it means to me and him that we got to just go in and be seen together like a regular vet appointment. It means the world to him and us (his people). You are amazing.

She was quickly able to assess our dog’s injuries and to determine the tests our dog needed and what the treatment should be. The vet assistant was also very professional and knowledgeable.

Ultimately my dog ended up going elsewhere for emergency surgery but they communicated with the other hospital and sent her labs and X-rays over. I almost had to make a hard decision but I didn’t feel judged. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: Extremely competent, professional, empathetic and friendly staff. Welcomed alternative to the long waits at the emergency room or regular vet, and affordable pricing. You get on a list and they text you when it's time to come in, which was really quick. My two pups were seen right away on three separate occasions; sprained ligament, torn ACL, and bite injury. All injuries were quickly and accurately diagnosed. I highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: When our regular vet was booked, they sent me a list of urgent cares where I could take my sweet friend to be seen. We were able to get into Animal Urgent Center quickly and though it was arguably one of the worst days of our family's life, I was incredibly impressed by how all of the staff was so loving towards our girl. They met me outside to help since she was going to be difficult to carry in, they made sure she was comfortable in the room and waited patiently for me to get in from the parking lot. The veterinarian was so knowledgeable and she quickly knew exactly what was happening while wasting no time on unnecessary things. The staff were all so kind and compassionate toward my girl and my whole family as we said the hardest of goodbyes. They went above and beyond and I cannot even begin to thank them enough for making such a hard experience tolerable. Thank you to everyone who loved on Rosie in her last moments with us.
