Noah's Animal Hospital & 24 HR Emergency Center: Opiniones
Experiencia negativa: DO NOT TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES HERE!! I drove almost an hour from my home for this vet. Saw great reviews and ended up SO disappointed. This vet will gouge you for money in place of empathy and care for precious animals. Dr. Burnell is not an ethical vet. I adopted a kitten who ended up having ringworm and bad diarrhea. I have 5 cats total who are also experiencing the diarrhea. A simple google/reddit search will tell you cream (she wanted me to use vagisl, and it did help some) is okay for ringworm, but a vet will need to more than likely prescribe meds. She denied my request for meds on chewy for ringworm because she wanted me to pay a 250 test fee then take months to come back from the lab. Without treatment in the meantime I might add. Went to another vet and they were aghast that this vet did NOTHING for my cats (other than an order to put vagisil on knowing it was going to spread to the other cats AND MY CHILDREN). No matter the amount of cleaning or separation it spread and I think she knew that considering she is supposed to be the educated party. Awful experience and waste of time and money. My family is on the way to healing now thanks to another ethical vet. I am so grateful I got a second opinion and I tell everyone I literally can about my experience. Ps. The “gnarly side effects” of ringworm meds (the reason I was given that my animals could not receive care) is nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The same as any medication you take prescribed or over the counter even for humans. Hope this helps.
Good morning, Shelby...I am very sorry for your experience...our team is always focused on doing what's best for the pet and the pet's family and it's frustrating to me that you didn't feel as if we met that goal with you and Miso. I do need to clear up a couple of things and then we should make plans to chat over the phone. First, Dr. Burnell does not work at the 24 Hour hospital where you posted this review...it certainly isn't fair to penalize that hospital when you haven't visited there. Next, using the term "not ethical" is certainly not appropriate here as Dr. Burnell is simply trying to make sure that Miso gets appropriate care and that we are not just guessing at what could be wrong with her. Many skin lesions look similar from a clinical standpoint and while the in house Woods Lamp test helped keep ringworm on the differential list, it's not 100% accurate.
Finally, please email me at [email protected] so that we can set a time for a phone call. I will engage our practice manager, Jenny, and we can chat about this concern. What I see in the record shows that we offered three different options for verifying ringworm and they range from a time frame of 3-5 days to 3-4 weeks and prices from $153 to $250. I want to make sure that our communications were complete. As far as Chewy...we would not have declined the Rx because you didn't want to run the test, but rather that we have another online pharmacy that provides the same medications at comparable prices and your money stays local rather than going to a large national corporation. Let's connect so that we can works towards a resolution. Our team hopes that Miso is doing better. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I unfortunately had to put our dog diesel to sleep. It was a Saturday afternoon. Nobody in my town had a vet and I was recommended to try this place.Putting your animal down is very hard, the crew at Noah’s did a really good job with the entire process. The entire crew showed sympathy and support for us at a really difficult time. I appreciate everything that your crew did to help us with diesel .Thank you Noah’s
Hey there, RK...our whole Noah's family sends their condolences to your family. Losing a beloved pet is never easy, but it is nice to see that our team helped you all during such a tough time in a very caring and compassionate manner. We have been doing this for more than 40 years and plan to continue helping pet lovers just like you, even on the toughest of days. Please let us know how else we can help and thank you so much for the 5 stars. ~Tom
Experiencia positiva: I dont know how I feel about my visit yesterday. I was worried my dog could potentially have bloat or something wrong with bladder/uti since she's an intact dalmatian. Took her in and they did an ultrasound and blood work. Wait times were long which I get because we weren't technically an emergency. They found a small amount of fluid on the ultrasound and wanted to push for urinalysis and radiology imaging. That would have put me over $1000. I ended up just scheduling an appointment with my vet and scheduling to get her spayed to prevent anymore infections in the future. Where I'm confused is why weren't we sent home with any antibiotics considering there was some kind of fluid/infection on the ultrasound and because Dalmatians are prone to bladder infections in the first place? Plus an intact 4.5 year old female is prone to infections as well especially after heat cycles which they reiterated to me.. They just kept pushing more and more tests. I'm extremely pregnant and broke. Even my vet made a comment that they should have put her on antibiotics this morning. The first thing she did was look at all the info from our visit yesterday and get my dog on an antibiotic. If you can go to your normal vet then just do that. You're going to pay more being this place is more for life threatening emergencies. I blame my over protective pregnancy hormones for taking my dog here.
Hello, Mia...I am so sorry that you didn't have the experience you expected during your visit with Pomelo recently. I am very glad to hear that she is under the care of Dr. Skinner and my hope is that Pomelo's surgery is uneventful today. I would like to hear from you about your visit, so I am hoping once you get Pomelo settled after surgery, you can send me an email at [email protected] with some good times for me to call you.
While we all understand financial constraints when it comes to our pets and getting diagnostic tests done, I can tell you that we don't "push" for thinks like urinalysis, x-rays, or bloodwork. These are important tools that help guide the treatment plan for Pomelo and help us understand what the true concern is vs. just guessing based on the physical exam and history. We always want to do what is best for the pet, but it is important to do what's best for the pet's family as well and in this case, the team offered those diagnostics, but you opted to wait and that's understandable. As far as the antibiotics go, it is important to remember that what the ER saw on Monday morning is likely not the same clinical signs seen on Tuesday. While antibiotics are certainly indicated in the case of a pyometra, there is always a balance between the appropriate use of the medication vs just treating to be treating something. Again, that's where the importance of having a complete set of diagnostics comes in...if she didn't have a pyometra, the use of an antibiotic may not have been appropriate. Let's set up a time to chat after Pomelo's surgery and when she is back home. I look forward to chatting. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Editing my review - was reached out to and communication was cleared up. They went above and beyond to be sure i was understood and heard as well as giving me some good info for future option. They do have multiple locations with different offerings/prices so be sure when calling in you get to the right place in the end and not just the soonest appointment. Previous-Will tell you one price to get you in then double or triple it when you arrive ! Be wary they prey on people who need help and then try to force you to overpay. They would not honor even the basic exam price from when I called in or even discuss honoring the quoted fee since I couldn't proceed scheduling a ridiculous cost surgery (quoted much much much lower). They wasted my time, my pets issue was extended longer than needed and they even suggested I came to the wrong location after fully checking me in and verifying my appt info! Will be calling their "call center" tomorrow to track down more information as to why they are telling people one thing -which then leads to confusion or even emotional explosions from clients in person. Very disappointed and frustrated
Jennifer...I am very sorry for your frustration and I would welcome your call tomorrow. I reviewed the medical record as well as your phone calls from yesterday. I did hear the price for the dental cleaning that you were quoted as well as the exam fee. While I can certainly appreciate the frustration of seeing an estimate that was higher than you anticipated, the basic cost of the dental cleaning was quoted appropriately. The unfortunate reality is that it appears Foxy has some more significant concerns and this lead to the higher estimate. We work hard to always put the needs of the pet and the pet's family first and I am sorry you didn't feel as if we met that with you. Please call me tomorrow at 317-726-2405 x 4 so that we can discuss and find a way to help Foxy. I will be in the office after 9 am tomorrow. ~Tom
EDIT (2-13-26)...thank you for chatting with me and your time, Jennifer! I am glad that we could discuss your concerns and it's great to see your amended review. Please reach out anytime you have questions! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I are so grateful for Noah's. Our 11-month-old golden retriever puppy is alive and well because of them. While we initially received compassionate care at VCA, we were referred here last Saturday when they weren’t set up for emergency surgery. The VCA hospital vet strongly recommended Noah’s—and it was immediately clear why. Noah’s was able to see our dog, Clover, right away and get her the care she needed. The vet, Dr. Giem, was incredibly empathetic, knowledgeable, and informative. Despite being in extreme pain and a lethargic state, Clover eased into Dr. Giem during her exam. She even called Clover by her nickname without knowing it—a small moment that meant everything to us. Although we went home in deep sorrow, we knew our girl was in safe hands throughout the night. Noah’s communicated clearly about cost, provided updates throughout our time there, and we were even refunded part of our initial deposit. During and after surgery, every timely phone call or conversation with staff was followed by a personal compliment about our sweet girl. The front desk staff, though very busy, was always attentive and helpful. Robert, the vet assistant, was also incredibly compassionate and informative when providing post-op care instructions. We are beyond grateful to have our girl back and know that Noah’s will be the first place we go from now on.
Hello Ainsley and WOW! Thank you for this detailed and passionate review! None of us can imagine how worried you were about Clover and we are so happy that we were here to help you both. Thank you for noting all the names that you did and sharing such great thoughts about this compassionate veterinary care team. This is a great way to start our day! We hope that Clover is recovering uneventfully and we are so grateful for the 5 stars and the recommendations!! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Took one of our cats here to been seen by their emergency services. When we got there the vet, Dr Glem, immediately started giving us the worst possible scenarios without having any idea what was going on. There's preparing someone for something and there's using scare tactics and that's definitely what it felt like. We ended up getting transferred to IndyVet and the likely culprit is a kidney stone. We might have put our cat to sleep over a kidney stone due to how much more serious it was made to be and again I want to stress that the vet didn't know what was wrong. If you have a pet with an emergency I recommend trying somewhere else. My wife and I took two other cats to IndyVet with serious health issues and weren't given absolute emotional whiplash like at Noah's. In all we spent $700 to be told that there's a good chance our cat was going to die without knowing what was going on. Maybe there's a reason they have Dr. Glem on graveyard shift because her bedside manner is terrible. Edit: There was also urine on the floor of the room and I know that animals are going to pee on the floor of a vets office occasionally but why wasn't it cleaned up?
Good morning, William....I am sorry that you and Nichole did not have the experience you were expecting from our team. I understand that Olive presented upon emergency with some significant health concerns, but I assure you that "scare tactics" are not used. Based on the diagnostic testing, it was determined that Olive (and your family) would be better served by more specialized testing and care. While our emergency room can help pinpoint some diagnoses and issues, occasionally there is a need for more extensive testing beyond what the ER can provide. I am so glad to hear that you were able to get a diagnosis for Olive and I hope her treatment goes smoothly. Our team may not have been able to definitively provide you with the final diagnosis for Olive, but they did the right thing in ruling out specific issues and then sending you to someone who could help provide the more advanced care Olive needed.
Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] or call me at 317-726-2405 x 4 if you feel I have not addressed your concerns. Again, I am sorry that we didn't meet your expectations and our team is hoping that Olive recovers from her illness. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: On 1/15/26 we took our 7 month old puppy to this Noah’s location because we suspected that she had swallowed something she shouldn’t have. We’ve had 2 positive emergency experiences with another dog here Noah’s and it’s close to our house, so we decided to go there. Big mistake! I called before we left the house because we knew time was of the essence if they were going to induce vomiting which is what our primary vet said they’d likely do when we called to find out what we should do. I talked to Brittany at Noah’s, and asked if they had availability to see her quickly and she said bring her in, so we did. We got there, checked in, and they took us to a room right away. Yay! No, not yay. We waited not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 (FOUR!) hours to be seen. In those 4 hours, no one, not one person, came to check on us, or give us a rough time update as to when we might be seen. It would’ve been courteous, considerate, and professional if someone, anyone, would've said from the start, that they had a very big case and it’s going to be a long time before she could be seen! We would’ve understood and that’s why I called! We were not given that information because we would’ve gone somewhere else. It seemed like put their financial gains ahead of our dog’s wellbeing. When Dr. Stephani Hartman finally came in, she asked a few questions. We gave her all the information, but it seemed like she was more interested in telling us how to redirect our dog’s anxious behavior than treating the problem. More than once she suggested giving her a treat to get her to sit and be calm. I had treats, but wasn’t giving them to her because we were hoping to induce vomiting so I didn’t want to give her many. Our puppy did really well considering she’d been in a loud room for 4 hours. She even fell asleep on the bench a few times. We felt rushed when the tech and doctor finally had potential solutions and they seemed more interested in us making a quick financial decision, with them in the room, instead of giving us 60 seconds alone to make a very important decision. Supposedly they took an X-ray, but they never showed it to us even though there was a light box on the wall, and again when Dr. Hartman came into the room to discuss the x-ray, she seemed more concerned about our dog’s anxious behavior and began giving us a short lecture on redirection. We had been in a small, very uncomfortable room for 4 hours and that was not the time or place to have a conversation about behavior. We paid extra to have a specialist look at the x-ray and were told that it would take about two hours for the specialist to have a look. We weren’t home for more than 30 minutes before we got a call from someone that only stated that they were from Noah’s and that the x-ray didn’t show any obstruction. At that point we had no faith that a specialist had seen it considering our experience over the last 4+ hours. We could also hear every conversation at the front desk and behind the exam rooms. After 2 hours of waiting we turned on music from our phone to drown out all the noise. I would be thoughtful to have music piped in the rooms like most dentists offices so the animals and humans don’t have to hear every stimulus, phone call or terrible case in the building. We took our dog to Noah’s hoping to be treated with kindness are care, and left after paying almost $700, and didn’t feel like the staff cared much at all. We were strangers. They didn’t know us or our dog, but I still expect more decency and professionalism than we were shown. Like many other reviews suggest, if you care about your pet do not take them to this location. The next day we told our primary vet about our experience and they said they do not recommend this location to any of their patients and suggested a different emergency hospital if we ever need those services in the future. I truly hope no one else has to experience this very subpar level of “care.” We will never step foot in this office again under any circumstances.
Hi there Jennifer...I am very sorry for your experience. It must have been doubly frustrating that day because you have had so many positive experiences with our team and care in the past. I can't imagine how stressful this day was for you. You are most correct in that our team should be checking in with all patients and clients routinely, especially when we have multiple urgent situations happening, as was the case during your visit. Our standard is to have someone checking in at least every 45 minutes and it does appear that this did not happen during the time that you and Virginia visited. Thankfully, Virginia was stable enough for the wait. Our Practice Manager, Ally, was actually the nurse who helped with Ally and she will be discussing your concerns with our team.
If you need to have Virgina's x-rays or the radiologist report emailed to you, we are happy to do so. I don't want you having an impression that we didn't do the work we said we would do (as implied above), so please reach out to Ally and she can get this information to you. Her email address is [email protected]. Your veterinarian also has a copy for review. I know that your experience wasn't ideal and we are sorry for that. Our team has generally received very positive reviews given our current rating along with having almost 1,200 review...we are proud of what they do...we recognize that they didn't meet your expectations this time, but it is my sincere hope that in a time of need, you will grant us the opportunity to make up for this last visit and show you the professionalism you have experienced previously. Please email ME at [email protected] if you have not heard from Ally or if you have more questions. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Robert and the whole team literally saved my boy, Loki’s life. Robert truly is a God Send and always does the most for my own dogs and Lucci’s House Bully Rescue dogs. I firmly believe Loki would have died if it weren’t for his fast actions and the team at this Noah’s. I cannot say enough about how amazing he is!
Laurie...thank you! We are so proud of the relationship that we have maintained with you and Lucci's for so many years! Our team looks forward to helping our local rescues and shelters whenever possible and when we get feedback like this, we know that we are doing the right thing! Thanks for mentioning Robert by name...he is a dedicated, caring, and professional part of our team and we are lucky to have him, along with the rest of this crew! From our entire Noah's family...thanks for the work you do and thanks for posting the 5 stars! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We were sent here from indyvet last night to see a surgeon for possible stomach flipped on our gsd. I cant say enough about how nice the staff was with all of us. The vet was a little afraid of our super friendly dog, which i didn't understand. We will go back again but only if absolutely needed and here is why. When i was gave the bill to look over there were 2 xray charges. I was told the higher one was the cost to run the machine! DO WHAT!! I get that they need to cover the cost but charge every client $25-50, not what your charging. That's very extreme and a way to make money. The vet wanted to run all these extra tests, when all she had was kennel cough. Another way to make money. My final complaint and one that really makes me mad. As we walk out the door in the middle of the night, there is a huge pile of bloody poop. I stepped right in it, causing me to have to throw my shoes away right there. I didn't fill it was safe to have that around my animal not knowing what was wrong with animal that left it. Took my girl to he local vet today just to double check all. Our vet also could not get over the price on xray and being told, "It's to run machine." One again, very sweet staff, inside was clean, and was seen immediately. Just know when you go that they will attempt to nickel and dime you.
Hi Crystal...thanks for the kind words about our friendly team and our ability to be able to help you and Ellie that night. I am SO sorry that your final impression of us involved dog poop! Our team does a fantastic job of maintaining a clean facility, but, as you said, this was the middle of the night and they may not have gone outside due to safety concerns or due to their caseload. I apologize that someone allowed their dog to do this without cleaning up and we will review video to see when this occurred.
You mention that Dr. Pebbles "wanted to run all these extra tests"...I reviewed the medical record and noted that Dr. Pebbles felt that a course of antibiotics would be sufficient, but if you wanted a more definitive diagnosis, things like x-rays and bloodwork could be done if you wanted. We will always discuss all available options with our clients so that we can work together as a team to do what's best for Ellie as well as your family.
Finally, I do apologize that you were left with the impression that the fee for diagnostic x-rays was to "run the machine". As you may realize, the use of x-rays (radiographs) is an important diagnostic tool to help us diagnosis or even provide a prognosis for our pets who can't talk to us to tell us what's wrong. The costs associated with maintaining the radiograph unit, storing digital files for the thousands of pets we see each year, as well as the costs associated with the nursing staff and doctors taking the x-rays are all included in these fees. I will work with our leadership at this hospital to help our team provide a better explanation of these fees.
Thanks so much for the feedback, we are grateful for folks who take the time to share with us. If you would like to discuss any further, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] and I would be happy to continue our conversation. We all hope Ellie is doing better!! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We had to make the incredibly hard decision in putting down our loved one. Everyone at this place that worked last night on New Years Eve deserve so many good things in life. They were very quick to get our baby back and get her stable, they were very compassionate when talking to me and my husband. Dr. Gein was phenomenal and so caring. We will always come here if we need anything moving forward. We know Leela also would be thanking you guys for taking such good care of her too at the end of her life. ❤️
Good morning, Katey...thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our compassionate veterinary emergency team here. We are always appreciative of the kind words and the 5 stars. I imagine that your home is very empty without Leela and our entire Noah's family sends our condolences. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Incredible experience. I brought my dog on New Year’s Eve, and every step of the visit was positive. Dr. Giem is an exceptional vet, and Amy, Emily (I think), and the entire care team were kind and very good at their jobs. The care provided was thoughtful and thorough, and the aftercare instructions were customized and easy to follow. I also want to thank Dr. Giem for spending additional time educating me on a possible diagnosis to explain the constant skin issues our dog has experienced for years. We are grateful for this new avenue (and possible new treatments).
This is an incredible review, SMJ and our entire team is so appreciative of the nice things you wrote as well as the 5 stars! We work hard to make sure that everyone is focused on doing what's best for the pet as well as the pet's family and it's great to see that our efforts are noticed! Please let us know how else we can help you and your pets!! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Giem and Nurse Katelyn were awesome! Unfortunately had to stop in for an emergency after-hours visit and had a wait time, however they were very attentive and kept us updated as much as they were able to while being the only staff in the middle of the night. Big thanks and huge shout out to them! As they say, not being picked first in the emergency department is a good thing.
Thanks, Lyndsey!! This review is absolutely amazing and our entire team appreciates your posting that last sentence.."not being picked first in the ER is a good thing". Far too often, there is a sense of "me first" in the emergency room (both human and veterinary) and it's refreshing to see someone who appreciates that all patients can't seen first! Thanks for taking the time to remember Dr. Giem's name as well as Nurse Katelyn! We are very fortunate to have them both on our team!! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: The tech was amazing. The person that checked us in was amazing. The vet was in a hurry but tried to be polite. My only real complaint is how they charge double, triple, or quadruple the regular price of medications. That’s just gross and rude to the animals and pet parents. I hope I never need to go back solely because of this greedy practice. Taking advantage of people in hard situations is just a terrible business practice. I am not going to be able to do all things I had planned for Christmas because I had to take my pet to emergency vet. Had I been charged regular price for the medication, we would be ok. Not great, but ok. Glad my pet is ok but wish I had not gone here. I wish I could return this one medicine that I know we can’t use, but I doubt I can. Sucks because I’m out $40 for something that should only cost $10-15 and I can’t even use it and haven’t opened it. Edit response to reply: I asked to not get the medications because I knew I would not be able to get my pet to take them and was told I’d be shown how and basically made to feel like a monster if I didn’t pay the crazy price to get them. So I accepted this and bought them but was not shown how to hold my pet to give them. So I was correct and was unable to give ANY of the meds I bought. Your exam fee is $142 so that should cover paying everyone for their part. You are charging insane prices to price gouge. These medications at your cost are still no where near what you’re charging. I too work in healthcare and deal in medications. You’re overcharging by more than you should be plus a regular vet doesn’t charge that much either. Tie your costs into your exam fee and charge appropriately for your meds.
Good morning, Morgan...thank you for reaching out and I am sorry that your experience was not what you were expecting during the holidays. While I can understand your concern about the cost of medication, it is important to remember that the "regular price" of some medications may seem skewed when you are buying it from a big box store, like Wal-Mart or a chain pharmacy. As a family owned and locally operated small business, we don't buy in the same volume as these huge corporations and we are also committed to making sure our employees are paid appropriately for what they do, especially in the emergency room. We don't have access to subsidies or coupon programs like you would find in giant retail establishments. We will always provide written prescriptions when asked by our clients. Again, I am sorry that we didn't meet your expectations fully, but we all hope that Shiro is doing better after being seen through the ER. Please let me know if you have any other concerns...I can be reached at [email protected]. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Everyone was very caring and compassionate to Judo. Special thanks to Trista who gently and compassionately orchestrated the final sleep of our precious Judo on December 25th. We appreciate your kindness
Rochelle...our whole Noah's family is saddened by your loss of Judo...you are definitely in our prayers as we go through the holiday season. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, for remembering Trista's name, and for all of your kind words. It means a lot to our whole team. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: My dog unfortunately got a treble hook in his mouth on christmas morning, when I called to inquire about getting it removed from his lip, front staff was extremely friendly and professional willing to help and support. Upon arrival they were quick to get us into a room, again front girls were amazing and very welcoming and patient! Much appreciated. Next we got to speak with the nurse who was very nuturing and calm, explained everything well, even before talking to the doctor. Finally we saw the doctor who came in extremely professional, calm and collected who explained exactly what would be happening. For such a scary day, they've made it better. I dont know why I can only give this 5 stars, because they deserve a million❤️ also, thank you for being here on christmas❤️
Happy holidays, Elora...thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts here. We all hope Jack is doing well after his fishing adventure. It was definitely our pleasure to help you both and it's a great reminder for all that our Noah's family of emergency hospitals are always available, 24/7, throughout the year. We greatly appreciate the 5 stars, but also love the attention you gave to each member of the team in this review. We couldn't ask for anything better! Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Sat in a room for 2 hours for a 10 min exam and when we brought this to there attention one of the nurses went into the back room and started talking crap about us. We did not appreciate that at all. Super unprofessional and uncalled for. I will not be returning to this location period. Please do better for future pet parents.
Good afternoon, Holley...as I responded to Brett below, I am sorry that your perception of our team was so negative. These compassionate folks are ready to help pets and their owners when other clinics are closed and, since we are an emergency room, there often is a wait as the team handles critical cases, as well as the ICU patients in their care. While I wish we could see every patient in a time frame that works for the owners, the reality is that getting Grim triaged, seen, and provided with treatment in just under 2 hours is pretty good considering the case load.
Please send me an email at [email protected] so that I can learn more about what you heard from the team. We take this kind of feedback seriously and we do have some audio via our video cameras in the common area. I would like to know what you heard so that I can compare and then bring it to the attention of our hospital leadership. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Horrible place do not go here! We were told they would get us right in on the phone our dog was breaking out in hives from some allergic reation. We drove over 30 miles to get there and sat in a room for over 2 hours they looked at our dog for less than 10 minutes and demanded that we pay for $150 for the examination they barley did anything, i feel like I paid for me to sit in a waiting room
Brett...I am sorry that you and Holley didn't feel like you received value from our team as we looked at Grim. I am glad that were here for you all during an urgent situation when other veterinary offices are closed and that we could provide some help for Griff's reaction. Just like in human emergency rooms, patients are triaged according to the urgency of their medical situation and I am actually somewhat pleased to hear that you all were able to be seen and the visit completed in under 2 hours, given the caseload of the team that evening.
We all hope that Grim is feeling better and that his allergic reaction is resolving. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, but characterizing our dedicated team as a "horrible place" is a little dramatic. Our reputation here in Central Indiana has been a very positive one for more than 40 years. Please let me know if I have misunderstood your concerns...you can email me at [email protected] if you would like to add to your review. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: My golden doodle, Isla, was brought to Noah’s Animal Hospital after ingesting tampons from the bathroom trash. I truly cannot express how kind and compassionate every single person was… from the front desk staff, to the medical assistants, to the veterinarian. After a very stressful few days, Dr. Giem and the entire staff were absolutely amazing. If Dr. Giem took routine patients and wasn’t in emergency medicine, I would sign Isla up under her care immediately. Isla ultimately needed surgery to remove the tampons, and Dr. Giem made the entire process as smooth and as least frightening as possible. She is positive, upbeat, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly a beautiful soul. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Giem and the entire team for taking such exceptional care of my girl. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the very best care of Isla. Words can’t express how thankful I am for everyone here!
Hello, Avery...this is such an incredible review of our team and the compassion of Dr. Giem. Emergency visits are stressful and then to hear that your pup needed surgery probably added a lot of worry to your plate. It's so nice to see that we were able to help allay some fears and give you some piece of mind while Isla recovers. It's reviews like this that warm the hearts of our entire Noah's family so thank YOU, Avery, for your kindness and your trust in us. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I had to go on a Friday night and the poor nurse working ( I thought was the vet) was so sweet and being pulled in every different direction. I sat there a few hours with my dog and I know I wasn't making it easier on her But she was amazing and still so sweet dealing with, the cops ,all of us people coming and going. Thank you to the staff
Devon...this review means a WHOLE lot to our team and to our nurse working that evening. We so appreciate your patience and your recognition that emergency medicine in the veterinary field can sometimes take a moment to get done. Thanks for the 5 stars and please let us know how else we can help you and your pets. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I sincerely appreciated the help from the vet tech Hannah. Her professional and assuring demeanor made my visit much less stressful than it should have been. Thanks for looking after my wonderful cat who eats plastic at 6 in the morning!
Oh, silly Mae!! Seriously, Chris...thanks so much for letting us know about Hannah's help and professionalism during your urgent visit with Mae. We are lucky to have Hannah and many others who are truly committed to not only helping the pet, but trying to do what's best for the client as well. We appreciate the 5 stars, your kind words, and the fact that you shared everything here. Please let us know how else we can help! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Losing a pet unexpectedly is never easy especially on a holiday. I called Noah’s to see what they could do and they made the process so simple. Thank you for the memorial items at no extra cost! Noah’s was definitely a life saver!
Hi there, Ashlyn...we are all so sorry for your loss of your family member. You are so right, it's not easy, but our team is very focused on making this experience less stressful for both the pet and you. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and the prayers of our Noah's family will be with you. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I did not end up going to this vet but Tom helped me find someone who could provide the services I was look and congratulated us on the new puppies. Very kind and would recommend this vet office!
Thanks so much, Lauren!! Veterinary medicine is more than taking care of our furry/scaly/feathered friends...it's also making sure we take care of the human animals attached to those friends. I am so happy we were able to help you find the services that you need for your pups. We appreciate the recommendation and love seeing the five stars! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We had to take our sick pup to Noah’s very late one evening due to a sudden critical health event. He ended up passing away but everyone at the hospital was so kind and they all worked so fast to try to help our boy, but there was nothing able to be done. It means the world to be at such a low point and be surrounded by people who really care. We drove right past another 24 hour animal hospital to get to Noah’s due to a very uncaring phone conversation I had with that other place when I called to let them know of the serious situation we had. I explained the urgency. They said it could take up to 3 hours to see a Vet. When I called Noah’s, they were very kind and caring and said to get him to them and they would triage him and if he was critical- he goes to the front of line… and that is exactly what they did. They met us in the parking lot and took him right in. I cannot express enough gratitude for all those people that helped us that night.
Hi Diane...our whole team here at Noah's sends condolences to your family about Bear's passing. You had him for a good long time and have been through a lot with him. Thank you for sharing your thoughts here about our compassionate team as it is always our goal to make sure that we are focused on the needs of the pet and the pet's family. In this case, we are so honored that we could help ease Bear during this time. Thank you for the 5 stars and please let us know how else we can help you and your family. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Our dog unfortunately got into raisins and we had to get him to an ER vet so he didnt digest any of them and go into kidney failure. ALL of the staff at Noah's Animal Hospital were amazing. They explained everything in detail and didn't mind that our guy was noisy and anxious. We just picked him up and cannot express our gratitude for the care and timeliness the staff extended to us and our boy.
Good morning, Kaylee...we are so happy that your pup is doing well and it was our pleasure that we could provide care for you all. Raisins can be problematic, even in small amounts, so we are really glad that you were able to get to us so quickly. Thanks for the 5 stars, for the really kind words about our team, and for being such a great, observant pet owner!! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Love these guys. Have had emergencies with my dogs 5 times in their lives, and brought them here every time. They did surgery same day for my beagle. Can't say enough. They have saved my dogs lives several times.
Hi Scott...thanks for sharing your thoughts here...we are so honored to have you, Bernie, and Polo as part of our family! We really appreciate your kind words and our whole team is hoping the Bernie is recovering uneventfully at home after the recent visit. Thanks for the 5 stars and, as you know, we are always here for your pet's needs, 24/7! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Everyone here @ Noahs was AMAZING. My 13 yr old blue nose pit had taken a turn for the worst, days and days we tried really hard to nurse him back to health. Unfortunately we couldn't, I didn't have a vet or know what to do. My mom told me about Noah's I called them yesterday 10/30 they were patient, kind. When we arrived it really took my breathe away on how fast they was there to help to get Aries in the door and to a room. I had never went through this in my life and they helped myself and my family understand every single thing. Losing Aries is very hard for myself and my daughter. But I know he is at peace and in no pain thanks to EVERYONE AT Noah's!!! Sorry I didn't get the Drs name. I am so thankful for each and everyone of you!! God bless you guys! Consetta Aries Momma
Hi Consetta...we are all so sorry about Aries...he was a BIG part of your life for a long time and I am sure your home seems much emptier without him. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the kindness and compassion of our veterinary emergency team that day. We will make sure that Dr. Hartmann and her team sees this review...I know that they were honored to help you and Aries during this tough time. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: My cat Sadie ingested poison so we brought her into the emergency vet one night. We waited almost 3 hours for a doc to come into our exam room with a spreadsheet of prices and ask if we wanted to start treatment. I had gone out to the front desk twice asking for a doc to start medications and fluids. On a poster immediately inside the entrance to the emergency area it states #1 immediate care issue is poisoning. My wife and I felt like Sadie was not properly cared for or treated as an emergency.
Good morning, Christian...I am so sorry for Sadie's passing. I can't imagine how stressed you and your family must have been when you found out what she had ingested. And, you are right, toxin cases are generally a first priority, especially if there is an opportunity for decontamination by making the pet vomit. Unfortunately, the timing of Sadie's arrival with us prohibited that decontamination step for her and we were now looking at treatment and hospitalization options. Our Noah's West emergency team worked hard to provide those options while still working within the parameters you set for us in addition to handling the other critical cases that were presenting at that time. We will definitely review video footage during Sadie's visit to insure that her care was being provided in a timely manner.
I understand that this was a very tough situation for you all and we are all saddened by Sadie's passing. Sadie was provided with excellent nursing and medical care while she was with us, but the reality is that her little body simply wasn't up to the challenge of handling the toxin. If you would like to discuss this further, we are happy to listen and provide more explanation...please give me a call at 317-726-2405 x 4 or email me at [email protected]. We know that we can't bring Sadie back, but maybe we can help with providing some closure for your family. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: I brought my new baby in with me today for a wellness check. They did a vaccine and brought her in the back room. The vet came in to do a quick exam and left. No complaints, she was friendly. The tech was friendly too, and all was going well, until he came with a dewormer. He tried to get her to take it, she wasn’t liking it, and it looked like he was choking her! Almost fully lifting her up solely by her neck. I stood up from my chair, concerned mother mode, and asked if he needed help. He then scruffed her and she took the meds. Side note - I used to work at an animal hospital and my sole purpose was to restrain animals. I’ve been trained on how it’s supposed to be done and have seen it done SEVERAL times. I completely understand that some cats need more restraint than others, but the restraint he used was no where near stress free. She did not hiss, bite, or scratch him. She literally just didn’t like the taste. No vet tech should be scruffing kittens much less CHOKING them. I do not want to imagine how they treated my baby when she was not in front of me! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, find a stress free clinic that won’t traumatize your furry friends.
Good morning, Mackenzie...thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I am sure you were very concerned about Cece and I am so sorry that your otherwise positive experience with our team was tainted by this interaction. I am sending this note to the hospital leadership for review. They will investigate your concerns and speak to the technician who was part of Cece's care yesterday.
We do our best to maintain a fear free environment for our patients and we avoid scruffing cats and kittens whenever possible, as long as doing so doesn't compromise their safety or the safety of our team. Again, I am sorry that this single experience generated such a negative review after it seems like you and Cece had a good visit. ~Tom
EDIT (10/14/25)...Hi again Mackenzie...I have heard that our practice manager reached out to you to hear more about your visit. I hope your conversation with her was productive and that she highlighted how our team strives for compassionate care at all times. I hope we get the opportunity to prove this to you in the future with Cece. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: This emergency service facility is trash! They did not properly care for my dog! He was misdiagnosed due to them not adhering to his illness as a whole, we were rushed out with incorrect information, only for my beloved fur baby to pass away. I will Never recommend this facility to anyone
Good morning, G...I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your pup. I can't imagine your devastation right now. I would like to hear more about your concerns, but I can't look into your case without more information than what you have provided here. Would you please email me at [email protected] and let me know your pet's name, your full name, and when you visited? Your description of being "rushed out" doesn't sound like our team and I would like to hear more from you. Again, we are all sorry for your loss...please reach out and let me see how I can help. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Been going here for years. The cost is worth the care. Knowledgeable team that genuinely cares about animals.
Hey there, Nick...good morning and thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with our team! We are so honored to help you care for Addy, Brian, and Nugget and it is heartwarming to see that you appreciate the professionalism and care our team provides to you and your furry family! Thanks for the 5 stars! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I are not from around the area but work over the road as truckers. My senior dachshund had a horrible cough that turned out to be pneumonia. They were so professional here and took excellent care of my old girl on short notice. I loved that there was 100% transparency in cost and recommended diagnostics exams. The staff even gave us snacks while we waited patiently for exam results. When I had a recheck appointment for my dog at a different clinic, I called in advance and they quickly and efficiently sent all of her pertinent exam results to the vet that needed them. Thank you to the wonderful staff here!
Kylie, this is an amazing review and we are so happy that we were available to help you and Schatzie recently. Your job is so vital to our country and we are sure that you were very worried about Schatzie as you traveled. It was our pleasure to provide some comfort and assistance. Safe travels wherever the road takes you! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: In 2020, they saved my baby boy from bloat. Come about 2 weeks ago, he lost the battle to cancer/bloat. Thank you to staff for being so respectful and letting me grieve/process the way I needed. Thank you for being thorough and helping me know I made the right choice for him. Poseidon ♥️
Hi Rosalind...our thoughts and prayers are going out to you. Poseidon was an incredible pup and you helped provide a great life for him. We are honored that we could be there for you and him during this difficult time. Thank YOU for taking the time to share you thoughts about our team...they truly are an amazing group of people. Please let us know if you need anything. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Waited 3 hours to be seen for significant emergency and still no vet so we ended up leaving. Poorly managed, would not recommend.
Hi Alaina...I am so sorry for your experience. Emergency rooms can be a bustle of activity at times and while we always do our best to check in with our clients every 45 -60 minutes, it seems that was not the case for you. We are reviewing video footage between the hours of 815 (your arrival) and 1045 (your departure) to see what happened and how we can improve. We did have several critical cases plus an anesthetic procedure during your time with us and Macko was stable, but our team should be providing updates routinely so that you, the pet owner, can make best use of your time. Again, I am sorry for what you experienced...as you can see from the majority of our reviews, this team is highly regarded and definitely considered compassionate with their care and service. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention and you are welcome to email me at [email protected] if you would like to provide additional details. Again, on behalf of the whole Noah's family, I am sorry for this. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I cannot thank Noah’s 24 Hour Animal Hospital enough for the care they gave my pet. From the moment we arrived, Cindy was incredible—her quick response and calm professionalism made all the difference in a stressful situation. Nurse Amy was amazing as well, making sure we fully understood the doctor’s treatment plan and answering every question with patience and care. I also appreciate the doctor’s honesty about what could and couldn’t be done—her transparency gave us peace of mind and helped us make the best decisions for our pet. Truly grateful for such a compassionate and dedicated team! They can quickly become out of budget, but they share the thought out treatment plan and costs before executing. Plus, when no one else is open or available we appreciated a place like this.
Thank you, DeBreonna...we love how you have mentioned our team members by name and it's really heartwarming to see that you took note of their compassion, their professionalism, and their commitment to both you and Riley. Thanks for sharing and for posting 5 stars! We are anxious to hear how Riley is doing after her visit! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We were blessed to have Dr. Giem and her caring staff tonight when our beloved Boston Terrier went into complete cardiac failure and his lungs were filling up with fluid fast. He was 9 and in congestive heart failure. It was advancing fast and he was under the care of a cardiologist in Carmel. Dr. Giem was very compassionate and honest in that he probably wouldn’t survive the night. I’m devastated in losing my baby but grateful for their kind and thoughtful care. The thought of him suffering was too much to bear and we had to do the right thing and put him to sleep. Thank you Dr. Giem and staff for your kindness, I will forever be grateful and recommend your establishment. I lost my spouse 1 1/2 years ago and our little guys name was Pim (Dutch for “Bill”). It’s been a rough couple of years.
Good morning, Jeff...our whole team is so sorry about your loss of Pim...we can't imagine the devastation you must be feeling right now. Our family will be keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your experience with Dr. Giem and her team. We are honored that we could help you both during this time of need. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted to say, Cindy is such a great person! She works at the front desk and is just so kind and a genuine joy to speak to. She was gave us updates on our wait times and kept us comfortable while we waited. She is the reason for the 5 stars! Such a great person!!!
Thank you, Arielle...we appreciate your kind words about Cindy...she IS a great person! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and we all hope Benjamin is feeling better. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: The best service! Dr. Giem is knowledgeable, kind and compassionate! Adrieanna was marvelous as well!! Same goes for the CSRs at the front desk! Thank you for taking such good care of our Cooper!!
Cooper has been through SO much, Angela, and we are honored that we can help you with his care. Thank you for thinking of his needs and his care! We are also grateful for the kind words for our team, for Dr. Giem, and for Andreuana...these compliments are always welcome!! Please let us know if we can help in any other way! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We brought our dog in a panic to the ER because we knew something was up. They tried every single avenue to help him, but unfortunately we were just out of time. While it was absolutely the worst day of our lives, the staff were absolutely incredible. Kind, empathetic, knowledgeable and let us know we were making the right choice. We opened up his cremation package and they had imprinted his paw. It was so incredibly thoughtful.
Thank you, Katie...we know how kind our team can be, to both the patients and the clients, but it is ALWAYS a welcome site when we see it posted here! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts as well as the 5 stars. We are so sorry that the visit didn't end as you might have wanted, but we are happy that we could help you both. Take care! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Called to see what the wait time was for ER. Person on the phone said "we only have 2 rooms." I repeated, what's the estimated wait, I don't know what having 2 rooms means in terms of estimated wait. I finally gave up trying to ask and went elsewhere for my emergency. This particular person seemed a bit passive aggressive, not what I needed at a time of absolute emergency.
Hi Mayflower...I am so sorry for your frustration. While it might seem intuitive to equate "x" number of patients with "x" number of minutes/hours, but the reality of emergency veterinary medicine is that 2 patients being seen for itchy skin will take less time than 2 patients in respiratory distress. We always aim to set client expectations appropriately and that means we need to triage your pet to see where they would fit in the order of being seen. We also consistently have new cases arriving and I can imagine there would also be frustration if we promised your pet would be seen within a hour, but then a critical case or two arrived before you did and pushed that time to 3 or 4 hours.
I hope that your pet did get the care needed...I am not sure what details you shared with the team member who answered the phone, but our team is very good at phone triage and can often advise if your pet will be seen more urgently than the other cases if we knew what your emergency entailed. I am happy to discuss further if you would like to email me at [email protected]. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We brought our Pyrenees Quinn in for an emergency. they took great care of him and really put our minds at ease. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well
Thanks so much, Evan!! Quinn was an angel of a patient and our team enjoyed our interactions with him. Thanks for taking the time to let us know your experience and for sharing those thoughts here. It's always great to get feedback and to see the positive impact our team had on you and your family! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We unfortunately had to go here last night with our pup due to him jumping out of the car window and puking blood after we got him back in the car. i called them and i believe the person who answered named Hannah helped us. she told me where to park and got him in immediately. if god forbid i had to go to the ER again for our dog or cat, this would be the place we go to. the nurses and vet were amazing at explaining everything and made sure they gave us a quote before doing anything with the dog so we knew what we could and couldn’t afford.
Wow...thanks so much, Courtney!! We are so happy to hear that your experience was so positive and we do appreciate you mentioning Hannah by name!! We strive to work with all of our team members to ensure a great client experience at all times...and we are grateful you shared your thoughts here! Our whole team is sending positive vibes to Bogey and your family! Thanks for the 5 stars!! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Today, Ava & I had an amazing experience with Dr. Sarah. Dr. Sarah was incredibly attentive to Ava, & even sat down on the floor with her & made her feel safer as Ava was feeling nervous. The doctor took time explaining everything to me in a non- rushed manner & gave me several options for treatment. I didn't feel pressured to spend extra money for extensive procedures. I switched to Noah's around 6 months ago & have been very pleased. The staff members are all very friendly as well!! A+
That's so great to hear, Heather, and we are all happy that you and Ava are part of our family. Even though Dr. Blair doesn't routinely work on this location, we are so lucky that she is part of our team. It's nice to see that you noted her professionalism, her kindness, and her ability to help you find a treatment plan that works for Ava as well as you and your family. We love seeing the 5 stars!! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: An emergency vet trip is never fun, but I am blown away by how the staff at Noah’s makes each visit as easy as possible. I have a reactive dog and Robert B. expertly handled my dog with care, and calmed my fears. My dog is on the mend, and I can’t thank Noah’s enough.
Thanks so much for taking the time to post your thoughts here, Stephanie!! Robert is certainly an amazing veterinary technician and we love that your not only remembered his name, but gave him such high marks for his care of Waylon. Thanks for the 5 stars and for letting us know of your positive memorable experience! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Waited over 2 hours was told I can use my pet insurance for my dog but the provider did not want to take it even though the visit will be covered refuse me an ultrasound to see what was going on with my dog force me to pay something out of good faith when they didn't do nothing out of good faith they left my dog not knowing what the problem is we're supposed to run a pregnancy test will not do it and then gave me a promissory note! Really messed up
Hello, Chellarise...I am sorry for your frustrations and we all hope that you can find some answers about Hershey. We appreciate you caring for her!
What many people don't realize is that pet insurance is reimbursable insurance...meaning that you pay the veterinarian and then get reimbursed from the pet insurance company. Unlike human medicine, veterinary medicine does not have the integrated systems between insurance and providers. We have no way of knowing whether or not your policy is still in place, whether you have met your deductible, or how your insurance company provides the reimbursement. We will certainly help by providing information on how to submit claims and provide the medical records, but we don't "take" pet insurance.
I am happy to discuss this with you further if you would like to reach out to me...my direct line number is 317-726-2405 x 4 or you can email me at [email protected]. Please reach out so that I can get more details about your visit with Hershey. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: The doctor was extremely thorough and kind, even offered me a hug as she left when we realized euthenasia was the only option. When we returned the next day for that, they were extremely caring as well. I love you Charley!
Betty...we can't imagine how devastating this week has been for you and our whole team sends their heartfelt thoughts and prayer for you and your family. Charley was a big part of your life for a long time and it's evident that you cared for him greatly. Thank you for taking time time to let us know about your experience and we will definitely let Dr. Giem know how much you appreciated her kindness. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia positiva: I picked up my six-year-old cat, Binx, from Noah’s 24-Hour Animal Hospital this morning. Binx is male & neutered. He was at Noah’s from around 3:00 P.M. EST on Thursday, 07/10/2025 through around 7:30 A.M. EST today (Monday, 07/14/2025). Here is the summarized version of my long, detailed notes: Noah’s 24-Hour Animal Hospital helped save my cat. There are good & not-so-good staff members behind the doors. The front-desk staff members were mostly kind & friendly, which I greatly appreciated. My cat’s total was $3,638.37 by the end of his hospital stay, and the hospital had a poor approach to getting financial matters settled. At one point, I was required to pay $500.00 towards my remaining balance (after paying $1,971.55 the previous day) just to see my cat. This is inconsiderate, at minimum. Quite honestly, I don’t know that it’s ethical – or even legal. (By law, a pet is the owner’s “property.”) I hadn’t been shown any imaging results or any pictures to confirm that my cat was okay. I only had the staff’s word, which I accepted because I trusted them. I am unsure why I wasn’t even trusted enough to visit with my cat – not take him home – until I made a payment of $500.00. Anyway, the standout staff member was Dr. Johnson – He was the one who finally made me feel like I could breathe. When I interacted with him, I knew Binx was in good hands. Amazingly, my cat managed to recover to a point where he could go to the low-cost surgery center to finish his treatment plan. If you need an animal hospital, I recommend Noah’s 24-Hour Animal Hospital on Millersville Road – because the staff members did manage to help my cat reach stability & recovery. Still, be prepared to pay a lot of money upfront. You will be pressed if you cannot fulfil the requirements. I imagine other animal hospitals are similar, but I took away a star due to the incident where I had to pay $500.00 of my bill money to see my cat. I didn’t have time to review my bill budget & make calls to ensure my utilities wouldn’t be disconnected because of that incident. Besides the financial burden that caused, I think, again, that not letting me see my cat until I paid is, at minimum, inconsiderate & unacceptable. Thank you to every staff member who was kind & understanding with me – This ordeal has stressed me out so much that I’ve had to reach out for my own healthcare. As of right now, my cat is in the low-cost surgery center. I hope I’ll be able to bring him home today. Thanks for reading my summarized review. Have a great day! (Thank you, Noah’s, for taking good care of Binx! I appreciate the top-notch care. Your pricing is reasonable & fair, but I think some staff members could use help with transparency on how the estimates work, even in emergency situations. I especially appreciated everyone who complimented Binx on his demeanor - He is the sweetest cat I've ever met. I've never even heard him hiss! Each time a staff member would mention how sweet Binx was, it made my heart smile - because even at his worst, he was still as sweet as always. I give Noah's staff complete credit for keeping my cat safe & as happy as possible. We are forever grateful. I am fully willing to testify the excellence of care within your facility - whether on social media, in-office, et cetera. Please reach out if you ever want a testimony!)
Hi Katie...thanks so much for the detailed review, the 4 stars, and the compliments for many of our staff members and doctors, especially Dr. Johnson. We all did enjoy Binx and its good to know he was able to get the surgery he needed. We appreciate how you noted the compassion of our team as well as the excellent care Binx received. I am sorry that there was some confusion/miscommunication when it comes to visiting your pet during the hospitalization...although we might need to limit the time due to other patients, I have never run across someone refusing to allow a client to visit because of finances. We do need to take additional deposits on occasion due to changing treatment options, but no one should ever keep you from visiting your pet for a monetary reason. Please email me at [email protected] so that I can ask a few more questions about this particular concern.
Again, thanks so much for the great review and for taking time to share with us! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We were transferred from IndyVet to here for surgery for my dog, they took excellent care for her and gave us a very good list on how to care for her. They let us visit her because she’s an anxious dog who is always with her other Canine companion or us. They even gave her a quick bath and before she wasn’t eating or even moving. She was much more willing to move around and even enjoyed chicken when she got home and then laid down and dozed off. Her care at Noah’s was excellent and they knew the severity of my dog’s health and since she was dehydrated they took care of her before going into surgery at 4 in the morning! And they were done by 6! Although we were asleep of course it’s good it was a quick surgery and there were no complications. Here are some pictures of when we went to visit her and pick her up and the moment she got home and went to sleep excellent reaction time for her emergency as she could’ve passed away without us knowing and Noah’s took care of it immediately, even after having done a surgery before hand!
Thanks so much, Diego! Our emergency team is always dedicated to helping pets and people in need and your review really highlights the compassion and care our team provides. Thank you for noting their kindness and helpfulness during this stressful situation. Please let us know how else we can help! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Alina was an amazingly attentive and compassionate tech. My pets needs were met and I felt confident going home with my pet's treatment and care plan.
Thanks, Tiffany!! We feel very lucky that Alina is part of our team and we are so happy to see that you noted this as well. Thanks for taking the time to let us know and for sharing your thoughts here. Please let us know how else we can help! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We recently moved, shortly after our beloved Max, 11 1/2 year old Rottie had given up. This team of professionals took us in and treated us with so much respect! We were going through a very difficult decision to help our poor boy. They made everything go smootly and Max did not have any issue saying goodbye, he was very comfortable and in a good state. Thank You so very much for helping us! We are so lucky we found you. The pic is Max at 6
Hi Amy...thank you so much for sharing the picture of Max as well as this glowing review. Our whole team sends condolences to you and your family during this tough time. We are honored that we could help you and Max in such a peaceful way. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Noah’s has been absolutely wonderful! The entire staff is incredibly kind, patient, and truly listens to your concerns. Mackenzie was especially great to work with—so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The doctor took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable with everything. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a compassionate and professional vet office. Our frenchies love the Noah team!
Aww...this is so amazing, Olivia...we are so happy that we can be here to help both you and your pups, Faye and Reggie! Seeing these kind words about the entire team is pretty incredible and we are so grateful that Mackenzie is part of our family as well. We are PROUD of the entire team who do their very best to help pets and their people every day! Thanks for the 5 stars! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Best Vet and very friendly staff! Definitely highly recommend. Pricing was affordable and fair. Will continue to bring my fur babies to this location no matter where I live! So thankful for this team that made us feel like family!
What a nice way to start our day, Nikki...thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts about your positive experience with our doctors and our team. We greatly appreciate the 5 stars and it's pretty cool to see that we have made such a positive impact on you and your family! Thank you and please let us know how else we can help! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: In one of my families toughest days in recent memory, the entire staff at Noah’s were more gracious than I could have ever asked for. If their day to day services are anything like we got with our emergency needs, these guys have to be second to none. If any of the staff see this, thank you again. We will be patronizing your business much sooner than later.
Thank you, Robert...this simple review truly highlights the type of team we have as part of our Noah's family. We are all so sorry for your recent loss of Maxine...even though she had not been a part of your family for a long time, it was apparent that you all cared for her greatly. Please let us know how else we can help and thank you for your recommendation of returning to us in the future. ~Tom
Experiencia positiva: The people here are awesome. But if you have you animals cremated go somewhere else. The box they send back is terrible. The one on the left was cheaper by $100
Hi Jason...thanks for sharing your positive thoughts about our team here...they greatly appreciate the compliment. I am sorry that the redwood urn received from Pet Heaven did not meet your expectations. Please let us know how else we might be able to help you and your family. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Honestly this place is amazing they did beyond more than expected. They were willing to discuss about the pricing and able to help as much as they could. They made the whole situation very calm and understanding. I would recommend this place to care for your pets needs!!!!!! Come here! And you won’t regret!!! The vets name is Matthew!!!
Good morning, Tiffany...thank you so much for the glowing review and for taking the time to share here! Seeing how our team worked WITH you to help care for your furry friend is always appreciated and we are so glad that you had such a positive memorable experience. Thanks for the 5 stars! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I feel confident in Dr Giems diagnosis and discharge instructions. Everything was explained in detail and made very clear. I told them my funding was low and the price given was reasonable. It was overall a positive experience considering the circumstances requiring our visit.
Thank you, Colleen...having trust in your veterinary professionals is important and it's nice to read that you made such a connection with Dr. Giem during Dale's recent visit! Thanks for sharing your thoughts as well as the 5 stars! Please let us know how we can best help! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: They have been so helpful to us during multiple emergencies. Robert specifically was so reassuring and made me feel so much better. Thank you Noahs!
Thank YOU, Katlyn!! Remember the names of our talented team is a big win for us! Robert is an extremely compassionate and knowledgeable long time member of our family and it's great to hear that he is meeting our Core Values of being Helpful and Providing a Memorable Experience! We all hope that Amelia continues to do well after her visit. Please reach out if you have any questions. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: I hate to give such a low rating, but I think it’s important that I give this feedback. In full transparency, my pet did not get treated here. However, while my husband and I were in the waiting room, someone came in with a critical injured animal. I don’t want to go into too much detail, but one of the staff members was having a very disturbing/traumatic and incredibly sad conversation with the pet owner IN THE WAITING ROOM for everyone to hear. I was shocked. That kind of conversation should be held in private. How hard would it have been to take them into an exam room and speak privately. On top of that, the person who was speaking to the owner showed a complete lack of empathy. The owner was trying to ask questions and the staff member was treating the situation like the owner was trying to return a t-shirt without a recipe. It was horrible. At one point he even laughed. My husband and I were so uncomfortable. I felt so bad for the pet owner. It was honestly so disturbing and left me so upset I couldn’t stop crying. And it wasn’t even happening to me. I cannot imagine what the owner was doing through and how they were feeling. My husband and I ended up leaving later on in the evening before our pet was seen, because the wait time was so long. But I’m not blaming that on the clinic, they had to treat critical animals first. All that being said, the clinic seemed fine, maybe a little dingy but that could just be from aging. And everyone we talked to was friendly. But based on what we experienced, I would not recommend this clinic. Warning- do not sign off on any paperwork until AFTER you have received the estimate. And make sure you are able to pay for the service before you go, or try and open a Care credit card before you go. And to the owner/manager or whoever reads these reviews, it would do you some good to put your staff through empathy training. And maybe take pet owners into private rooms to have difficult conversations with them.
Hi Lily...thank you so much for reaching out and I am sorry that you had to experience this. Our public areas of the hospital do have video cameras and I will reach out to the leadership here to investigate your concern. As you can see from our hundreds of positive reviews here, our teams work hard on compassion, being understanding, and provide excellent service. I am sorry that you saw a potential lapse in this service that we are generally so proud of. It is our standard to provide the needed privacy when bad news needs to be shared, but I am also wondering if this was a critical case that needed an immediate answer to a question about CPR...I am not trying to make an excuse, just wondering about an explanation. I am happy to hear more from you if you feel it would help us understand the situation better. I can be reached at [email protected] or you are welcome to call me at 317-726-2405 x 4. We appreciate the feedback and will provide appropriate coaching... ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: I brought my 13-year-old cat, Rhea, to Noah’s Animal Clinic for their free initial vet visit since she hadn’t seen a vet in a while. From the moment I walked in, the staff felt cold and stand-offish. They immediately commented on my cat’s weight (11 lbs), calling her “a big girl” and insisting she needed to be on a strict 150-calorie diet to lose 2 lbs — something no previous vet had ever flagged as concerning. During the exam, the vet took an unusually long time listening to her heart and then told me she had a murmur. There was no clear explanation — just a vague link to her supposed “obesity.” The vet pushed for an x-ray, full blood work, and blood pressure check — totaling over $900, with $30 just to check her blood pressure. Feeling pressured by how urgent they made it sound, I went through with it. Later, they called and casually told me her heart was “possibly enlarged,” but that I shouldn’t worry and could see a cardiologist “if I wanted.” That didn’t sit right with me, so I got a second opinion at Parkside Animal Hospital — and I’m glad I did. Parkside found no murmur, no enlargement, and said her heart sounded completely normal. The murmur Noah’s labeled as “grade 3” wasn’t even detectable. Even more confusing: the x-ray notes from Noah’s had conflicting statements — calling it both “normal” and “possibly enlarged.” Parkside’s vet was understandably confused by that and reassured me that everything looked fine, including the blood work. I’m incredibly frustrated and feel misled. It feels like I was pushed into unnecessary testing through fear tactics and vague communication — only to learn it wasn’t even needed. None of the nuances (like stress-induced murmurs, which are common in cats) were ever discussed at Noah’s. I’m now $900 out for a “free” visit that gave me anxiety and misinformation. I will not be returning to Noah’s Animal Clinic, and I strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before agreeing to any expensive procedures here.
Hello, Tatiyana...I am so sorry for your frustration and that you didn't have a more positive experience. While I can't speculate on what was heard at the other veterinary hospital, when a murmur is noted in our companion animals, we will make a recommendation for follow up with a cardiologist as this is what is the best recommendation for the pet. Whether or not you choose to seek out further care is up to you and even seeking a second opinion is always met with appreciation from our team. Our veterinarian is not a specialist in radiology and thus we send the majority of the radiographs out to specialist for further review so that nothing is missed. The radiology report from the radiologist is where the comment about the heart being mildly enlarged was notated. I can appreciate the confusion that you and the other veterinarian may have and it might be worth having Parkside see the radiographs for themselves. I can help arrange that if you like, just simply email me at [email protected] if you would like to have that done.
While I can appreciate a concern about the cost of care, without doing diagnostic testing, we simply wouldn't know if the murmur that was heard is innocent or of significant concern. The $900 invoice did include bloodwork, which is always good to have for a senior cat as well as a blood pressure measurement, an ear cytology, ear medications, and the x-rays you mention above. Again, I am sorry that your experience was not what you were expecting.
Experiencia fantástica: Our sweet cat is happy to be home, and it’s all thanks to the staff at Noah’s! They saved his life, after whisking us in immediately for treatment. This is our third experience with Noah’s Emergency 24/7 care. During his entire stay, they provided consistent updates and thorough communication. This isn’t the first time we have needed the life-saving care Noah’s provides. Our first two experiences were for our pet dog, who also received excellent treatment. All the staff at Noah’s goes above and beyond! They are fair and up front about all costs associated with the care they provide. I highly recommend them for all pet emergencies.
Wow, thank you so much, Lauren!! It's always great to see 5 stars, but your review really highlighted the compassion, helpfulness, and excellence of our team! We are honored that we are able to help you and your furry family at all hours and we are absolutely grateful that you have had such great experiences on each of your visits. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and please let us know how else we can help you! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Jennifer was very kind to us and our beagle who got into something he shouldn’t have. Fortunately, his symptoms were easily identifiable and we were out of there pretty quickly. Very friendly staff and quick service.
Hi Brenda! Thank you for taking the time to provide some kudos to Jennifer! We are very lucky to have her as part of our family and we are glad she was able to help you and Mac so promptly! Thanks for sharing and thanks for the 5 stars! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: The staff here is remarkable. We had to take our 9 year old German Shepherd here after he had a bout of vertigo and was unable to walk. He was a big boy, 120 pounds, and they had a cart there that he could lay on like a gurney (it was incredible for such a big dog). Hannah was incredibly helpful on both the weekends. We took him originally on a Sunday, and then again the next Saturday and unfortunately, had to put him down. However, they laid out all the options and the prognosis, and were very kind and sweet. They gave us as much time as we needed, and I don't know how they do it, they helped us put our dog to rest. They sent a lovely card in the following week with a wildflower seed packet. 10/10 would recommend, we could tell they truly cared and treated him like one of their own!
Good morning, Stephanie...thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our team and the compassion they showed for your family and Dutch recently. We know that your home must feel pretty empty at this time and our entire Noah's family sends their condolences on your loss. We appreciate the 5 stars and your kind words for our team. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We had a very upsetting situation with our cat and had to bring him to Noahs for emergency help. Everyone was very sweet and helped us immensely. Unfortunately, we did have to put down our Murphy. We were given plenty of time with him and we appreciated them letting all 4 of us in the room. Hanna was amazing! She helped us even when I had 100 questions. She was patient and comforting. I was so happy to have someone like her on our side when we were all such a mess. Also, to the woman in the waiting room who prayed with us, thank you. Having a complete stranger cry with us made me remember why we moved here! We will definitely be back for our regular animal care!
Good morning, Angie...our whole Noah's family is sorry to hear of Murphy's passing. It must be pretty empty around your home right now. Thank you for taking the time to reach out and let us know how our team did during this stressful time. We appreciate you mentioning Hannah by name and we will make sure she sees this kind review. Thanks for the 5 stars and for sharing your thoughts here. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia positiva: This middle of the night visit was a waste of time. The intake person was great, but the veterinarian didn’t really care about what was happening with my dog. They didn’t really do an exam. They just went along with whatever the veterinarian before them said. Also, when a veterinarian starts talking about vaccines (and we are there for an emergency situation) … I’m out. the door.
Good morning, Jennifer...I am sorry for your frustration and that Sugar has been uncomfortable. From our medical records, I can see the doctor's notes about Sugar's physical examination and, you are correct, Sugar's symptoms were very similar to what was seen at a different emergency room previously. Our doctor made recommendations for diagnostics to help better determine what might be happening with Sugar and with the recommendation for continuing previously prescribed treatments. You opted to decline the diagnostics.
While our ER facilities don't provide wellness care, like vaccinations and such, our emergency doctors do understand the importance of preventive care for a pet's overall health and will respond as such if the topic comes up. Developing a relationship with a general practice veterinarian is the best way to determine what vaccines and preventive care are recommended for your pet and your general practice veterinarian is your best option for managing chronic conditions, like Sugar's discomfort. An on-going relationship with family veterinarian can help avoid the need for ER visits while doing what's best to keep Sugar comfortable. Let me know if I can answer other concerns...my email is [email protected]. Thanks for the feedback! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Went in today for our final puppy appointment with out 16 we old puppy. When we were in 3 weeks ago I had told them I did not want to give her the lepto vaccine. They tried to pressure me into it but ultimately respected my wishes. The today they took her back, did their thing and brought her back to me while I was talking with Dr. Wright who had mentioned that she would still need lepto. I again said we were not doing lepto. She was chill and went on with the conversation. After the left the room the tech came back in and informed me that they had given her lepto today. After I repeatedly said no. Didn't apologize, just said she would take it off the bill. Beyond pissed. This is inexcusable. Our request for no should have been in her chart.
Hi Danette...I am so sorry for this experience and for your frustration. You have an expectation that your wishes will be followed whenever possible and it does appear that our team did not meet those wishes today. That is something that will be addressed with the team members involved during Sophie's visit. While it is unfortunate that this vaccine was given without your consent, the good news is that Sophie is unlikely to experience any adverse effects from this single vaccine. I have also verified that Sophie's chart has been properly notated with your declination of leptospirosis and canine flu vaccines.
I know that this event has eroded trust in our team, but I would encourage you to consider coming in and seeing how our team works to rectify concerns from our clients. It appears that you have had a good relationship with us with 3 other pets since 2023 and we would like to continue to help you provide the best in healthcare for those pups. Just as an aside, I am sorry that you felt like there was pressure from the team during the first visit to recommend the leptospirosis vaccination, but in light of recent announcements from the American Animal Hospital Association to treat leptospirosis as a "core vaccine", our team simply wants to make sure our clients have the information they need on this contagious, zoonotic disease. Thank you for the feedback and please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] if you have any further questions or concerns. ~Tom
Experiencia positiva: Matt is awesome! He was super friendly and helpful, I don’t remember what vet we had but I wasn’t the biggest fan of her! She was very kind, just was left a little confused after she gave us her opinions! Matt was awesome in helping us, however! It was expensive, 600$ for an x ray of my baby’s spine as well as just the normal fees. Overall it was okay! Not terrible but not exceptional!
Hey there and good morning, Elyssa...we hope that Satine is doing better and resting comfortably today after her visit. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences and we really appreciate your enthusiastic recommendation of Matt! He is a great part of our team and we are lucky to have him. I am sorry that you felt confused after your visit...please let us know if we need to follow up with any more details. You can call the clinic directly at 317-253-1327 or feel free to email me at [email protected].
And, just for clarification, the $600 invoice included Satine's examination by our doctor, her pain relief medications, the interpretation of the x-rays by a board-certified radiologist, and the x-ray procedure itself. Again, thanks for the feedback..please let us know how we can best help. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is so sweet in this office. We unfortunately had to put our 17 year old cat to sleep one night after several emergency visits over a 2 week period (the team did everything they could but unfortunately it was his time). It was a horrible night of course but everyone was so supportive and patient through the process. We just received a card in the mail signed by the whole staff offering their condolences with personalized messages. That was so incredibly sweet and even though this office is very busy, they still took the time to do this which means so much. It’s obvious they have very difficult jobs (only seeing pets/families in their worst moments a lot of the time has to be so taxing) which I think a lot of people forget this when having to go to an emergency vet. We’re so lucky they are there when we need them and even though they see this stuff everyday, it’s clear they still have so much compassion for their clients.
Wow, Shelbey...this was beautifully written and we are so grateful that you took the time to share your thoughts. We are all so sorry about Kitty Boy's passing...he was a big part of your family for such a long time. We can't imagine how empty your home is right now without him. Thank you so much for what you have posted here...we love the sentiment and it is nice to know that our teams' dedication and compassion shone through during this difficult time for you and your family. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: If you love your pet, don’t take them to any Noah’s location. After spending $6000 at the surgery Center, I couldn’t see a vet for one to 2 days while my dog’s infection was spreading. They told me to take them to the emergency Noah’s.. Of course they were going to have to charge me for that even though it was a surgery they performed that has become infected. If you love your animal, don’t take them here.
Good morning, Aimee...I have reached out to you in response to your email that was sent. I am very sorry for your frustration, but I do need to make it clear that you were NOT seen at this hospital and posting a negative review simply to try and erode the reputation of a business where you have never been seen is disrespectful to that team and is actually against Google's Terms of Service. I will reply to your review that you posted for the clinic where you were seen. This review will be reported for false information and as spam since you posted on several pages. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Came in to get my babygirl Gracie checked out when she lost a lot of weight out of no where. Had no idea she was extremely sick. During her stay, I received clear and regular communication about her status (not needing to track down her care team as I had to at another hospital) and everyone was kind and compassionate. I wasn’t too upset at the 2 hour wait as I appreciated that Noah’s takes the most dire cases first. When I had to make the difficult decision to put her to sleep, the team was so patient as I took a lot of time to say goodbye. I got a lovely paw print and a card later on too. Thank you to Noah’s staff for making this process as comfortable as it could be for our family ❤️
Hi Aly...we are all so sorry about the loss of Gracie recently...it's hard to imagine how empty your home must feel right now. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how our team helped you both during those days. We were honored to provide assistance and we are grateful with how you recognize the challenges of emergency medicine for pets. Please let us know how else we can help you and your family. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Great friendly care both from vet staff and grooming staff! Grooming services are great and within my budget and my corgi always smells so good after. Corgi Fresh Corgi Clean Corgi Tight
Wow...what a fun review, Jose!! We all love to see Butters when he comes in, for his wellness care OR for his grooming! We think that we might just have to adopt your slogan of Corgi Fresh Corgi Clean Corgi Tight!! That is amazing!! Thanks for the 5 stars and for you faith in our team! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Horrible!. Our dog had 2 seizures within 4 hr. Called around to find er with less than 4 hr wait. Was told not busy at all. Drove 30 min and on arrival told wont be long. Waited 45 min in dirty room. Asked and was then told now a 2 hr wait yet no new arrival. No apparent concern at all for our very nervous dog. Just needed meds to get him thru the night until see regular vet in am Left bc clear any other more expensive case coming in would put us in back of the line. No compassion and filthy facility.
Hello, Lisa...I am very sorry for your experience and that we didn't meet your expectations. I can only imagine how worried you were about Remington. I will definitely share your concern about the cleanliness of the room with our hospital leadership...our rooms are swept, cleaned, and disinfected in between patients and if this didn't happen, we will make sure we discuss this with our team.
As far as your concern about wait time, as you probably have heard, animal emergency rooms work like human ERs in that we triage patients coming in and the most urgent cases are seen first. I am glad that Remington was stable enough that he wasn't the most urgent case there. Despite your implication that our team was waiting on a "more expensive case" case to arrive, that simply isn't true. While you might assume that you didn't see any new arrivals, there are ICU cases that need care, 2 cases did arrive during this time, and it is not uncommon for a wait time to change based on what is happening with other patients in the hospital. I am sorry that you didn't feel as if this was communicated. I am happy to hear any further concern you might have and I welcome you to email me at [email protected] if you would like to share more. I hope Remington was seen by his regular DVM today and that he continues to be stable and do well. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Noah's on Millersville gave us excellent, compassionate service when we really needed it. I had to bring in my sweet kitty Grumpy on the weekend, and unexpectedly needed to put him to sleep. They were honest about his condition, did not pressure either way, explained everything thoroughly, and the prices were fair and less than I was expecting. I am really gateful for the rockstar staff. Everyone was kind and comforting, and you can tell every single person really cares. Today I got a touching handwritten sympathy card in the mail with some flower seeds I can plant in memory. Thank you so much for being there for us when we needed you, and for making my special Grumpy's last moments as comfortable and smooth as possible for both of us.
Hey Tessa...our whole team is so sorry about Grumpy's recent passing...it's really obvious that he was a big part of your family and very well-loved. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our team here. We love seeing that you not only noted the kindness and compassion of our team, but that you felt the value for the services was there as well. Please let us know if we can help in any other way...we hope we have helped in some small way with your grieving process. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been bringing my dogs to Noah’s for a while now and I can’t recommend them enough! The entire staff is kind, professional and loves my pups! They always take time to explain everything clearly to me. Thank you Noah’s for all that you do!
Hey there, Taylor!! Thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing Gus and Mac with us! We love seeing them (and you) on each visit and your review means the world to us!! Thanks for the 5 stars and lt us know how we can best help you all!! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Our dog is not the most friendly of pets. The staff at Noah’s didn’t even blink when our dog was barking at them. The vet tech who saw us knew exactly how to diffuse the tension and at least make our dog feel a little more secure. The vet was amazing and spent plenty of time trying to get our dog as comfortable as she could, even sitting on the ground her for a period of time. She even joked with us and made us feel comfortable. Everyone there was lovely, and we know if we ever have another emergency that we will be well taken care of at Noah’s.
Good morning, Robin! This is a great review and we are so happy that our team showed how we are concerned about the pet as well as how we look to serve the client. It's great to see that you felt as if our team expressed excellence in the care of your pup as well as friendliness to you. We appreciate the 5 stars and thank you for taking the time to post! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: A huge appreciation for Noah's Animal Hospital. The Westside location was so great to me when I had to put my little girl dog down years ago and now the Millersville Road location was just as great caring for my fiancé's dog last week when sick and passing. Thank you to Matthew the tech for caring so much and helping us through. You all do great things; doctors and staff. Thanks again.
Good morning, Sarah...we are all so sorry about the loss of your fiance's pup. It must be very devastating for you both. Please accept our condolences on your loss. Thank you for reaching out to let us know how Matt helped you during this time and for sharing your experience with our whole team. It is greatly appreciated. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Noah’s Animal Hospital has been the place where all of my dogs have been euthanized and it’s been a wonderful experience every time, whether outside in the grass or inside in a room, I couldn’t have been more pleased. I just this past Sunday needed to put down my sweet Leela girl of 14 years and they were so very nice and took care of both me and Leela. I stayed as long as I needed to let her go on to her next life and I recommend Noah’s should you need the same day, weekend services. Thank you Noah’s for all you do and for taking care credit. All my best!!
Hi there, Melynda...we are all so sorry about the loss of Leela recently, but it is so heartwarming to see your kind words about our incredible team. We are honored that we could help you and Leela in a way that left such a positive impression on you. Please let us know how else we can help. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: If You actually love and care about your pet DO NOT go here. All they care about is the money and when you can’t afford to do anything they will suggest euthanasia. I took my cat in at 4 am and they came in did an exam and gave me options, all well over 1000. I couldn’t afford it and decided to take him home even though they said euthanizing him would be best. I found a vet that is doing the same thing the had originally quoted me over 3000 for less than 1000. All they care about is money. Please if your pet can wait just take them somewhere else!!!!
Hello,Nicole...I appreciate you reaching out to us and I would like to learn more about what you experienced. I am sorry that you didn't perceive value in the care of your cat from our dedicated compassionate team. Please send me an email at [email protected] with your pet's name and the date of your visit as I am not finding a case that matches your description and with your name (as above) listed on the account in recent days.
Once I hear from you, I can help provide some answers, but I think it should be noted that we were here and open for you at 4 am when other veterinarians are closed. I can't speculate on why your veterinarian is "doing the same thing" for a lower cost as that would require me to see and compare the services that we offered vs what's being done by your family veterinarian. Additionally, our foundational core value is that we always put the needs of the pet and the pet's family first and from your description, it sounds like we met the value. We offered several options for care and you chose to proceed with the option that worked best for your family...that's ok. It is disheartening to see that you feel that our team is only focused on the finances when it is apparent from the hundreds of reviews here that we value the relationship with the clients and their furry friends in addition to providing excellent compassionate care. Please reach out so that I can understand your concerns better. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: My dog woke up paralyzed on a Saturday morning (Jan 31st.) my regular vet was close. I basically was told that I needed to do an expensive surgery for a bulging disc or my dog wouldn’t walk again. They didn’t do X-rays. If I let them do X-rays another $800 on top of $142 for a medical exam and another $300 in pain pills and muscle relaxers. When I got my dog home we realized ourselves that she had worms and had a bite mark on her butt. So what did they exam? Turns out, Coonhound paralysis, causes paralyzation for 2-3 weeks. So I dewormed my sweet babygirl and took matters into my own hands. Today Feb 11th, she was able to get up and walk by herself in and outside. So thank you for absolutely nothing but heartbreaking news and making me feel like my only option besides a 8-10 grand surgery was to put my 90lb baby down. I will NEVER be back.
Hi Carey...we are all so glad to hear that Reese is doing better! We are always happy to hear how patients have recovered. I am very sorry that you didn't find value in our doctor's physical exam and differential diagnosis. Unfortunately, without the approval to do diagnostics, we are forced to make a list of possible diagnoses and certainly given Reese's breed and presentation, disc disease would be the most common reason along with an embolism, trauma, or cancer. Again, without diagnostics, we are forced to essentially guess at the cause. Coonhound paralysis (also known as Polyradiculoneuritis) is certainly a rare possibility, especially if the pets are consuming a raw diet or have gotten into a tussle with a raccoon, but the onset is not generally as quick as described for Reese. In any event, we are all relieved to know that Reese is on the mend...I am sorry you didn't have a better perception of our team and we hope that Reese continues to do well. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: My dog passed away today at home, we called Noah’s and they were kind and gave us instructions on getting him there and gave us pricing for cremation. Once we got there they came to the car and grabbed him, handled him with care and they were kind to me as I cried the whole time. They did not rush me to leave, and helped me make the best decision for how I wanted to handle my dogs cremation. I cannot recommend enough. We opted just for a communal burial and the paw print. It was perfect for us.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Kristen. We are deeply sorry for your loss of Matrix and are grateful that you found comfort and support during such a difficult time. Your kind words mean a lot to us and we are honored to have been able to help you through this process. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: After visiting another clinic last night I was referred to Noah’s. We have been to Noah’s before during another scary situation with our cat and were given advice that resolved that issue for many years. Unfortunately, this time the outlook was not great. We visited and were given many options for diagnosis, but even if we got the diagnosis, the outcome was not promising. My little guy was suffering and I had to make the very difficult decision to euthanize rather than chase a diagnosis that would be incurable. THIS WAS HARD. The staff here is incredible. They explained everything in great detail and answered all of my questions, ensuring I 100% understood. Rather than push me towards more testing with them (that would have cost me thousands), they recommended me to specialists elsewhere. From my understanding, a diagnosis was delaying the inevitable and not buying us much time. When talking about euthanasia, I was fearful I was jumping the gun. In such a kind and caring way, they assured me that I was not. That is exactly what I needed in that moment and their words, kindness, and validation will stay with me forever. I am honestly so thankful for the team and care I received today.
Wow! Jordan, thank you so much for such a kind and warmhearted review. Our whole team here at Noah's 24 Hour Animal Hospital is honored that we could help you during this tough time. Our goal is to not only do what's best for the pet, but also for the pet's family. It is very rewarding to see that this was your perception and we are grateful for all you have posted here. Please let us know how else we can help! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I can't recommend this place enough! We came here late at night for a concern that turned out to be nothing serious (just a sprain). BUT while we were there, the doctor spotted evidence of another, unrelated, yet serious condition that was developing. Evidence that had been missed by previous vets. She alerted us to this problem and spent a lot of extra time giving us the information we needed to be able to go home and make the necessary dietary changes and to find a regular daytime vet who was familiar with the condition. She went above and beyond, and in doing so she saved our puppy from a lot of future pain and saved us a lot of future vet bills. I am so grateful to her for catching this in time!
Thanks Cheryl for the wonderful review of Noah's Animal Hospital & 24 HR Emergency Center. We appreciate you taking time to leave your feedback...our goal is to always put the needs of the pet and the pet's family first, so it was definitely our honor to provide a high level of care as well as sharing important health information about Mr. Teddy! We are thankful for the 5 stars and we will definitely let Dr. Giem know about your enthusiastic review of her care of Teddy. Please let us know if we can help in any other way! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: I cannot recommend Noah Hospital based on my deeply troubling experience with my cat's urinary obstruction treatment. There were multiple serious issues during his stay: 1. The staff cut my cat's nails without my consent or consultation - this is completely unacceptable and raises questions about whether this was done to prevent him from defending himself during rough handling 2. My cat returned home with concerning behavioral changes - he now just lies around staring into space, suggesting possible trauma from his stay 3. He came home showing signs of extreme hunger, suggesting he wasn't properly fed during his hospitalization 4. They failed to provide pain medication at discharge, despite urinary obstruction being a painful condition The unauthorized nail trimming is especially concerning - what if he had been an outdoor cat who needed his claws for protection? The fact that they did this without asking raises serious questions about their respect for owner consent and their handling of patients.
Good morning, AJ...I am very sorry that you didn't feel as if we met your expectations for care with your cat and I would like to discuss this further with you. You don't mention your name or your cat's name, so I would ask that you email me at [email protected] and let me know when you visited as well as your name and your cat's name. That way I can better answer your questions. As far as the nail trim, it is often provided as a courtesy and is very often needed for the safety of our team. Cat scratches can be very dangerous and even have the potential to end the career of one of our veterinarians or veterinary nurses. I can assure you that he will still be able to defend himself even with his nails cut a little shorter. Once I hear from you, I can address some of the other concerns...you mention a lack of pain relief, but you also mention that he was "staring into space". Many pain meds that are provided for our feline friends can give them a little bit of a loopy look, so I am wondering if the pain relief medications simply weren't pointed out to you in the discharge instructions. Again, once I have more details, I can help provide some answers. I understand that you are frustrated with your experience, but before making accusations of "rough handling", "lack of feeding", and "possible trauma", let's work together to review your case. This is an amazing hard-working team that is focused on providing a high level of care for the patients and service to the clients. You can see that from the majority of our 4 and 5 star reviews over the years. I am looking forward to hearing from you, so please reach out as soon as you can. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: we had a bout of bad diarrhea followed by a pretty dilated anus which had us debating whether it was an emergency or not for a few hours. after communicating with the techs for a while, they offered us to come for a cost free tech assessment since the clinic was dead due to the snow storm. we went, they looked at him and reassured is everything is normal and everyone loved on him before sending us on our way. such a kind and unnecessary thing to do, we love noah’s and how compassionate the staff are.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Hannah. We are glad that our team was able to provide reassurance and comfort during a stressful situation. Our "nurse" assessments are something we routinely provide, not just when business is slower. We appreciate your kind words and your continued trust in Noah's Animal Hospital & 24 HR Emergency Center. Thanks for the 5 stars! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Dr Geim, Brittany and the entire staff took such great care of us and our sick cat. Everyone showed such kindness & compassion. They found out right away what was wrong and worked with us to find an affordable solution - offering options and making suggestions. We felt cared for and respected. 100% will go back! They’re such an asset in the veterinary community. ⭐️
Thank you so much for your kind words, Lezlie, and thank you for the 5 stars!! ! We love hearing that Dr. Giem, Brittany, and our entire staff were able to help you and Aries during this time! Anytime that we are noted as an "asset in the veterinary community", we will take that as a win! We truly appreciate your feedback! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Took our beloved Jesse to Noah's on Millersville Rd - emergency visit, Jesse in great distress afterseveral months battling illness. The staff there only knew Jesse for an hour but made his last moments with us more comfortable. I was beside myself w/grief and they were so wonderful. I cannot thank them enough for their care, empathy, reassurance, and kindness. Highly recommend.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us, Michele. We are deeply sorry for your loss, but we are grateful that we were able to provide some comfort and support during such a difficult time. Jesse was a big part of your family for a long time and we are sure he is missed terribly. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I brought my dog in last Monday when my regular vet could not get my dog in for a c section. I was already nervous as I could be. They were so calm which helped me be calm. They explained everything in detail on how the surgery would go. Their quoted price came in lower than estimated which was a good estimate anyway. I’m so glad we chose to have her c section here. The doctor was incredible and the staff was incredible as well. I cannot thank them enough.
Thank you, Matt, for entrusting us with Riley Marie's care during a stressful time. We are grateful for your kind words and are pleased to hear that our team was able to provide a calming and informative experience for you. We love seeing the 5 stars and we all hope Riley is being a great mom! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Wow. I highly recommend this place. My partner and I had to bring our dog in at 2 in the morning. Every single staff member was SO nice. They treated us with respect and were so nice. We had to end up putting our sweet girl down. The staff provided us with results in a timely manner and answered every question we had. During this tragic event, the staff was really sentimental with us. They treated us and our dog like we were family. They didn’t rush us in any way during any of the process. They gave us privacy when needed too. I really really respect this place and the staff. I’ve never had to deal with this in my life, and I felt like we were treated greatly.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us, Molly. We are deeply sorry for the loss of your sweet girl and are grateful for the opportunity to provide care and support during such a difficult time. Our team is dedicated to treating every pet and owner with compassion and respect, and we are honored to have been able to assist you. Please let us know how else we can help you and your family. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: The staff here are incredible! We came in Christmas morning with my dog Cassie. She was one of my dad's dogs. Dad passed 4 months ago quite suddenly. We had been treating her since we got her for an enlarged heart. She woke up that morning lethargic and struggling to breathe. We were really worried about her, she's 11, but a small dog so still not elderly. We called on our way over to make sure they were open as it was Christmas day. When we got there one of them met us outside and took her from me and immediately rushed her to the back. Unfortunately her heart was failing and we lost her. The vet and staff were so kind, caring, and compassionate. They were angels on our worst Christmas ever. We recieved a sympathy card from them today. It was not only signed by each person we met that day. But they all left hand written messages to us about her and they were personalized so that it was obvious they were listening to us and HEARD us. I can't even begin to express my gratitude to these wonderful people. It can't be easy doing what they do, but they have been called to it and we were blessed to have had them there with us for her final moments.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us, Miranda. We are truly touched by your kind words and we are grateful to have been able to provide care and support during such a difficult time. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate care to both our patients and their families, and we are so glad to hear that you felt heard and supported by our staff. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this tough time. Please reach out if we can help any further. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Vet is terrible. Gf's family just came in the other day and they were so rude to them. Even called the cops of my tiny GF..LOL a joke. She was crying and hysterical over her dying cat and you all call the cops on her to get her trespassed? You all took the time while a baby kitten was dying, and chose to be rude and misunderstanding. DO NOT TAKE PETS OR YOURSELF HERE.
Rushed Antics...since you aren't listed on the account to discuss medical care, it would not be appropriate for me to discuss details of your girlfriend's pet's case here. However, I can state with clarity that the actions of your girlfriend warranted intervention by the police. The emergency room can be stressful for all parties involved, but throwing items at the doctor and kicking chairs simply won't be tolerated. I hope that her pet gets the care it needs and that your girlfriend finds some peace in her life. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: Extremely impressed by my experience at Noah’s today! I’m so grateful for the respectful and compassionate staff in a stressful situation. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant and helpful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience at Noah's Animal Hospital & 24 HR Emergency Center, Randi. We are thrilled to hear that our staff was able to provide you with respectful and compassionate care during a stressful time. Our team strives to create a welcoming and helpful environment for all of our clients and their furry friends. It was our pleasure to help with Cressie's needs recently! We appreciate your kind words and look forward to serving you again in the future.
Experiencia fantástica: Went here on 12/23/24 at 2:00am our dog wasn't doing good at all barely could walk or sit up we went in they seen her took her back right away and got on it they came back in the room and told us everything full detail of what she needed and everything I told them it was a bad time of the year right now and we couldn't afford any of it and they took it the extra mile to take care of our dog and make sure she went home safe and feeling better. Christmas is a time for giving and they made sure to give and go above and beyond to make sure we went home with a healthy and happy dog. I want to say to them Merry Christmas and thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, Clint. We are glad we could help your furry family member during a difficult time. We are always committed to putting the needs of the pet and the pet's family first, so it's heartwarming to see that this was your experience! Wishing you and your dog a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year! ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: This place was truly amazing! A couple weeks ago, my family dog who is a boxer mix had ingested part of a blanket and needed an emergency foreign body surgery. I drove all over the city and called a few different locations who were either incredibly who were either way too expensive or could not help us right away despite it being emergency surgery. However, thanks to some great people at my work, I ended up at Noah’s! When I arrived, I was assisted by the great CSR team and Brandy helped get us set up in a room with a tech right away! Britany was super friendly and went very slow with our dog who is nervous with new people and explained each part of what the surgery entailed and what the cost would be. They were very understanding our finances and worked out a financial plan that worked for myself and my grandmother. Within an hour, they had taken her back for surgery and they gave us updates every step of the way. The doctors explained every bit of what they were doing and everyone was very kind and professional! Our dog is now recovering very comfortably and I can’t thank Noah’s enough for helping us out with her!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us, Alexis! We are thrilled to hear that our team was able to provide the care and support your family dog needed during such a stressful time. We are always here to help, and we are so glad that your dog is now recovering comfortably. Thank you for noting the care provided by Brandy and Britany as well as the rest of the team! We are so happy to note that our team made such a positive impact on you and your family! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: I was referred to this place by VCS in fishers at night for emergency surgery for my best friend. With speaking to the surgeon before and during my pups surgery she kept saying if it were my dog I would just put him down. It seemed like she was not really invested in saving his life and more interested in ending his life. To the point I had to make the worst decision ever as he laid on the table. I had no where else to turn and he would not of made it through the night without the surgery. Really no compassion I felt or no interest in helping my buddy!
Hi Tony...I am so sorry for your loss of Kiwi and for your perception of the care that night. As you mention above, you had an expectation of our team "helping your buddy" and I can see you didn't feel that expectation was met. Unfortunately, the reality of some surgeries like Kiwi's is that we find out there much more involved once surgery has started and it is up to the veterinarian to have a frank discussion about on-going quality of life. Some owners prefer to allow the pet to pass peacefully under anesthesia without the pain of a surgical recovery while other owners want some more time with their pet, or would like to seek other options if possible. While I can't speak to what exactly was said between you and the doctor, I do know that our doctors want to make sure that you are aware of all options in these cases. Again, I am sorry that the outcome wasn't more positive for you and Kiwi. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you feel I have not fully addressed your concerns. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: My mom brought her dog here a few weeks ago. Symptoms were excessive panting, pacing, disorientation, running into walls, drinking an excessive amount of water, lack of balance/coordination etc. They ran blood tests, did X-rays, urine tests, and told my mom her dog had a thickened, inflamed bladder and had blood in her urine. While I don't doubt that may have been true, having an inflamed bladder wouldn't be making her run into walls. Then they said she might have canine dementia but there is no test for that. If she had dementia it would be gradual, not one day be fine and the next be having these coordination issues... Long story short they charged my mom over $1200 for these tests and some prescription urinary diet food which did absolutely nothing to help her as we later found out that she had had a stroke from our her primary care veterinary. He was able to diagnose this just from the symptoms and performing an exam on her. We also found out she was almost completely blind in her right eye. Unfortunately we were not able to get her to her primary care veterinarian until a week and a half later and she was too far gone at this point. She had suffered severe brain damage and Prednisone wasn't enough for her to recover from not being treated for so long. No normal person can afford multiple emergency visits, no normal person can afford thousands upon thousands of dollars as much as my mom wanted to get her in as soon as she could. I don't understand why my mom wasn't taken more seriously or why a stroke wasn't diagnosed at this location. I understand there are no tests that can be performed to determine this but it feels like very little effort or care was put into helping my mom's dog. Now she has to pay $120 a month for the next year for a dog who had to be put down and deserved better.
Good morning, Nina...I am so sorry for the passing of Boo...I am sure that she was a well-loved member of your family and I can't imagine your dismay with losing her. As you stated, Boo was your mom's dog, so before I can reply with any specific details about the case, we would need your mom's permission to discuss Boo's case with you. Debbie is more than welcome to give me a call at 317-726-2405 x 4 or email me at [email protected] with any concerns. Losing a pet is never easy and I am sorry that you don't feel as if your mom was taken seriously, but I can assure you that this team provided the appropriate treatment for Boo based on her clinical signs at the time. Please have Debbie reach out to me with any further questions. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Update: I received a reply, so here we go. It appears to me that there is some issues with communication between this facility and their patrons. I am now being informed that my boy was given pain medication. That comes as a tremendous relief 7 months later. I've also been informed that they care about his continued health, and I'm grateful they've finally made that clear after deviating from the original plan of treatment. When I was told he was going to be seen right then, it was so foolish of me to believe that. And when I was told I'd be updated, and no one called, I really just shouldn't have been surprised. And I'm so happy that the prices are fair because the quote for over $4,000 was a bit daunting after receiving the same care for $1,300 when he obstructed a few years back. They had to keep him for the entire weekend to make sure he was back on track, but you guys charged that much for just the day and with less tests, truly unbeatable. In all seriousness, I have just received better and more affordable care, and the expectations laid out for the process weren't met. That's it. One star. But after the reply that came off a little condescending to my ear, I wish I could take that star away. I actually am aware of health being impacted by multiple things and that there may be other emergencies more dire, thank you so much sweetie Original: Went in for a feline urinary blockage. I arrived in the morning (around 9am) and was told the vet would get to him right away and if I hadn't heard anything by 2pm to call. 2pm came and I called and they hadn't gotten to him. He sat all day being unable to pee (known to be a painful and uncomfortable condition). Their prices are exorbitant compared to the emergency services I've used before. And then they added food onto the bill without discussing if that was something I wanted to do (I didn't). The staff was friendly at least and they did call to follow up, so that was cool. I'll never go again, though.
Hello, Paige...thanks for taking the time to send some feedback to us. Looks like we saw Aryo back in March and he did indeed have some trouble urinating based on clinical signs as well as what you shared with us for his history. You are right, urinary blockages can be uncomfortable, but we also need to look at other factors in the ER, including the potential that other, more seriously urgent cases were being attended to. Aryo was assessed immediately by our team upon arrival at about 11 am and our emergency clinician did deem him stable enough to wait for unblocking. In a perfect world, we would have enough veterinarians to make sure that every patient could have diagnostics and treatments immediately, but the reality of most veterinary ERs is that there is only 1 veterinarian on duty at any one time. He was given pain relief medications and from the medical records notes, it does appear that they were working on placing his catheter when you called.
The good news is that we were able to make sure he wasn't obstructed and we were able to meet your concerns about on-going treatment and the finances associated with that. I am sorry that you feel that the prices are exorbitant, but I can tell you that our prices routinely are lower than other ERs and have been for more than 20 years. The most important thing here is that Aryo was cared for by highly trained staff and we were able to resolve his situation in an expedient manner. We all hope that he is continuing to do well far into the future. I am happy to discuss further if I have not addressed your concerns...my email is [email protected]. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: DO NOT ENTRUST THE LIFE OR EMERGENCY CARE OF YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE. I took my dog in yesterday after he was hit by a car. They wanted to euthanize him. Told me his gums were white because he had lost so much blood internally and that they knew his leg was broken. I told them I wanted to take him to a different hospital and she repeatedly told me that she did not believe that he would even survive long enough to arrive at the other hospital due to his loss of blood. I ask her if she could transfuse blood into him in order for him to be stable enough to make the trip. She advised me that they had one bag of blood, and it was not his type. She said she was going to make a phone call to see if another hospital had space for him. I waited 20 minutes and I could see her just sitting at her desk. I made the choice to wrap my fur baby up and take him elsewhere. I wasn’t gonna wait any longer assuming that he was laying on the table bleeding out internally while she sat for 20 minutes . The whole time I’m trying to leave the secretary is screaming at me for a payment When I had already given them my credit card for the services I had authorized. I made it to the other hospital where they told me that he had absolutely no blood loss and that his gums were white from him being in shock. As of today, they have stabilized him and he will be going into surgery tomorrow to fix his leg. I cannot count the amount of times that the lady told me that he needed to be euthanized or the amount of times they told me he wouldn’t Even survive the trip to the other hospital or the amount of times that they kept screaming at me for payment when I was leaving, even though I had already paid. They would’ve killed my dog when he absolutely can survive And had absolutely no internal bleeding.
Hello, Angeline...I am so sorry that you had to deal with JJ's emergency situation yesterday...I am sure you were very frightened and very concerned about him. I am also sorry that you didn't have the experience you expected and I will do my best to answer your concerns here.
When JJ presented, our team was concerned about internal bleeding based on his his clinical signs and the fact he was in shock. I don't see any notes about concerns that he wouldn't make it to the other hospital, but I do see notes that while our team was working to stabilize JJ, they were also calling a specialty center who would be better equipped to provide a blood transfusion (if needed) as well as be able to surgically repair his fractures. In this specific case, it would not be our front desk calling, but rather the emergency doctor so that she can clearly provide the other hospital details about JJ's case. I am not surprised that JJ presented in a little bit better shape at the second hospital as we did provide him with necessary pain meds and treatment for his shock
It is absolutely your right to seek care at a different facility and we are all glad to hear that JJ is going to be okay after surgery. When I review video to see about your concerns about the "secretary screaming at you", I only see our team working to try and help you and your pet. I understand that you were stressed over the situation, but the only person I heard screaming was you and I watched you walk out without paying for the services you authorized for JJ.
Obviously, I wasn't in the room to hear your conversations with our team or our doctor, but euthanasia is only brought up in cases like this if the family has expressed concerns over finances or if they are concerned with their ability to provide care. We don't want to euthanize an otherwise healthy pet, especially if the situation can be fixed, but there are times when providing euthanasia is an option for some clients.
Again, I am sorry that you didn't perceive how our team was trying to help you. We all wish the best for JJ and our good wishes are with you and your family for his speedy recovery. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you feel I haven't addressed your concerns. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: The people who work here are exceptional. They did everything they could to care for our cat for the last couple hours of her life, and although it was heartbreaking to lose her, the staff made it much easier for us with their professionality, kindness, and understanding. I am extremely grateful and I would like to say thank you to Hannah in particular.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Felix. We are so sorry for your loss, but we are glad that our staff was able to provide you with the care and support you needed during such a difficult time. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to Hannah. Please let us know how else we can help and please accept the condolences of our entire team on your loss. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: We couldn't find anyone who cared or wanted to tend to our pet's emergencies until we found Noah's. The staff was compassionate and made all of us feel better, they comforted us as much as they did our dogs. The secretaries, nurses and veterinarians. They were amazing and we would definitely drive 70+ miles if our dogs ever need their compassionate EMERGENCY care. Thank you guys so much for all you do you're a service to society!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us, Hayley! We are so glad that we were able to provide compassionate care for Kiba and Kobe during their emergencies. Our team truly cares about the well-being of all animals and we are grateful for the opportunity to help. Thank you for trusting us with your pets' care and thank you for driving as far as you did!! OH...and, we hope that you don't have any other emergencies with your pets, but if you do, we do have a 24 hour clinic located in Speedway that might be a bit closer for you! ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: Edit** 9/28/2024 Agreed. Probably a good idea. Tom replied!! He defended the same way I knew he would according to the other reviews. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take the animals you care and love for to this corrupt company. As you can see in the reply he is only worried about defending their policy rather than care for the animals. Thanks Tom, Hannah, Meg and Ashley for all your hard work! Since you brought up the pain medicine, yeah the .380 of medicine did literally NOTHING. Our vet was even confused as to why you did that and then misquoted me and charged me $90 for it?? Keep digging that whole Tom. You’ve done this for 6 years and been there for 11+ but can’t even respond properly. What a joke! Maybe they could use a new director of communications and maybe you need to work on your “research skills”. The “education” you teach must be blocked by a pay wall because NONE of your replies are informational, and only defensive. Purdue failed when they gave you a degree. Fix that Tom, respond to that, defend that. Worthless. They will euthanize your animal or take every penny you have and won’t even be sympathetic about the situation. Delusional and corrupt is all they are, especially Tom who is defending every bit of it! Worthless company and worthless “employees”. By the way, I never even got the doctors name!! I believe this is my first review I have ever wrote and I don’t need you to look into OUR situation, we NEED you to look into your hospital after hour staff and the way it’s ran. I am reading the bad reviews and everything matches my experience. My girlfriend and I had an emergency with our cat this morning, at first the ladies there seem very friendly and nice, and for the most part were. It almost seemed as if they were forced to tell us things they didn’t want to. Our cat wasn’t back there for more than 20 minutes before the doctor came back in with 3 options. I do know this is after hours, an emergency clinic, and in Indy, I understand that part. But the service they provided was truly insincere and literally the opposite of compassionate. 1.) $1,400 to treat him and bring him home. 2.) $3,900 to hospitalize him for 3 days. 3.) And apparently their favorite option; euthanasia. The doctor told us she is going to be frank, he is in critical condition, which yes, he was in rather critical condition, and that he either needed to be euthanized right then, or they could run us some estimates. What are you going to say? So the estimates come back and they are 1,404.69 and 3,887.35. Again, pushing the urgency of our cat’s life and how we need to keep his quality of life in mind. WE ARE HERE AT 4AM, we are considering his quality of life. We came here because our primary vet isn’t open and we are worried. We left at about 7:30 paying $231, $142 for the exam and $89.01 for .380ML of Buprenex(was quoted $70-80)after being “discharged” and signing papers against doctors recommendation. We took our cat to our primary vet when they opened and they took him in and instantly treated him. Our cat had crystals, as humans can get kidney stones, male cats can get similar stones. Which can be flushed and treated with proper diet and medicine. He was informative, understanding, WILLING to help and cared about not only our cat but animals in general. And yes there is always the possibility of it happening again, but being informed and taking proper precautions is a better step than euthanizing or 4 grand. Your employees are doing their job, but it’s more than a job. We, people with sick animals, need caring and trustworthy people to care for our animals.
Hello Kade...I appreciate the information you are sharing and I am sorry that you didn't have the experience you were anticipating. You are right, just like people, our cats (and dogs) can develop stones/crystals in their bladder which can predispose them to a urinary blockage, which is an emergency situation. The longer the situation progresses, the greater the possibility of electrolyte imbalances, which can cause heart issues or even death. Of course, Bean was VERY uncomfortable during this time. Our team provided you with estimates for hospitalization, which is the best thing for Bean, along with an estimate for providing an immediate unblocking with you taking him home for further follow up with your regular veterinarian. We offer several different payment options (including CareCredit), but in the end, it is you, the owner, who makes the decision on how to proceed based on what works best for your family. Euthanasia was only discussed because, based on his clinical signs, there was a very real concern that Bean might not survive without treatment in a more immediate time frame. I am very glad to hear that your veterinarian was able to work with you and get him seen so quickly.
While I understand that unexpected expenses like this can cause stress for owners, it's really not fair to say that the team was not caring or trustworthy. As I said above, they gave you several options (more than "euthanizing or 4 grand") while they worked to provide some measure of pain relief (the Buprenex) for Bean. You mentioned seeing the bad reviews...did you happen to note that the vast majority (over 800) of our more than 1,000 reviews are positive?? Many of those reviews highlight the compassion and helpfulness of our team. I am sorry that you didn't perceive that, but I know that this team does their best to meet the needs of their patients along with the needs of the clients. I am glad to hear that Bean was able to be seen quickly with your family veterinarian. If I haven't fully provided answers to you, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] and let me know how else I can help. ~Tom
EDIT 9-13-24: I appreciate the update, Kade, as well as the very colorful and explicit email that you sent me. Since you have threatened myself, my pets, and the team at this hospital in that email, we will no longer respond to any of your postings or emails. Again, I am sorry that your focus was on only one option (euthanasia) instead of the several other options that were provided to you by our team. You made a decision that you felt would be best for you and Bean...no one can argue that point. We are all glad got the care he needed and we wish you only the best for the future. ~Tom
Experiencia negativa: I literally wish that i took my dog anywhere else in the city besides here. To be clear, I am only giving this place three stars to amplify this message. Truly, my review is a one star review It seems like they care more about upselling and getting money more than helping pets. I brought my dog in for labored breathing. Immediately when i walked in, with my dog, they began shoving paperwork in my face saying that x service would be x amount. E.g. intubation, a certain amount, cpr a certain amount. Honestly, it felt like a whirlwind that left me dazed and confused. Before i knew what happened, they had my credit card to take a deposit. Obviously, it was for my dog, so I would’ve given anything in that scary moment. Fast forward to my dog being helped. The doctor told me that my dog would need to stay overnight for observation. I asked about a treatment plan, and they could not tell me a treatment plan. Another doctor then came in and told me that it wasn’t looking good, but they would recommend her staying overnight. Immediately, i was confused. How can you guys tell me there is no treatment plan, that things weren’t looking good, but that she would be overnight? From the sound of it, it sounded like my dog wouldnt make it overnight. Then they came in with the bill. It was $1,300 just for initial assessment. E.g. X-rays, toxicology etc. So i ask the doctor what did they find, and they couldn’t tell me that they found anything. So i was like… ok… you guys just took $1,300 from me. Don’t know what’s going on, and dont have a treatment plan, or anything. And at the same time, they quoted me close to three grand for an overnight stay. At that point, I decided to get a second opinion from another place and that I would discharge AMA. The doctor then recommended euthanasia. I told her that i did not believe in euthanasia, and that if my dog was going to pass, i would rather her pass among familiar sights and sounds at home, and not in an environment that smells like piss and fear. The doctor then threatened to call animal control if i was to take her home and not let them euthanize her. THE DOCTOR LITERALLY THREATENED ME WITH THE POLICE BECAUSE I WOULD NOT GIVE THEM MORE MONEY AND BECAUSE THIER COURSE OF “TREATMENT” WAS AGAINST MY BELIEFS. I told the doctor where she could stuff it. I understand that it was not their fault that my dog passed, but this whole experience felt like a shameless cash grab, and it feels like they take advantage of their customers when they are in their scariest moments. I cannot recommend that you go somewhere else any more. Don’t be like me. Research emergency clinics well in advance and know where you are going to go well before an emergency happens.
Hello, Myekeal...I am very sorry that your experience with our team didn't meet your expectations and I would like to speak with you about your concerns. I can be reached at 317-726-2405 x 4 or via email at [email protected].
I do want to clear up a few things..first, I apologize if you felt as if the team "shoved paperwork" in your face, but in priority 1 emergency situations like Rowdy Rotti was experiencing, it is important for us to understand your wishes and expectations for the Rowdy's care as well as provide you with a transparent expectation of cost. We did have a treatment plan to make sure that we could help facilitate Rowdy's respiratory distress, but what we couldn't tell you at that moment was the cause of Rowdy's breathing issues. The invoice that you paid included some diagnostics, the emergency examination, and stabilization for Rowdy (iv catheter, oxygen, meds). It wasn't a question of not knowing what was going on, but rather the need to continue supportive care while further diagnostics might provide some answers.
You mention above that you don't believe in euthanasia, which is certainly your right. But, as patient advocates, our team must speak for the pet and in our veterinarian's opinion, taking Rowdy home might lead to a stressful death. Our goal with contacting Animal Care services is simply to provide you with resources that might enable you to provide further care or ease her suffering. I am so sorry that this loved member of your household passed away and I am sorry we couldn't meet your expectations, but, as mentioned above, I would like to hear more and hopefully provide some clarification for you. ~Tom
Experiencia fantástica: I had to rush my precious baby budders here on labor day and the staff broke down the most devastating news to me that my precious boy wouldn't make it. They let us spend as much time as we needed and matt and dr Heather provided kind words and reassured me that he was in good hands and would make it back to us in 4 to 6 weeks.
Hi Michelle...thanks for the emails and for taking time to share your thoughts here about your experience with our team. We are all so sorry about Baby Budders because we could see just how much he meant to your whole family. Please let us know how else we can help you and our team will reach out soon when he is ready to be reunited with you. ~Tom
