Experiencia negativa: UPDATE: AS OF 3/9/26, NO ONE FROM THEIR TEAM HAS REACHED OUT AS PROMISED IN THEIR RESPONSE TO THIS REVIEW. TLDR: I wish I had read through ALL of the reviews before taking my 10 week old puppy here. My dog was misdiagnosed and over treated. They took advantage of my emergency and charged me $1,700 for the visit. Do NOT visit them - they will scam you out of your money. I brought my puppy in at 2am for vomiting and diarrhea (he was not lethargic and was still eating and drinking water). They tested him for Parvo outside of the hospital and the tests came back negative. They took my dog to the back to "take his vitals" (not sure why I wasn't allowed to be with him for this). They came back and said they re-ran the test and he was positive for parvo. I was taken to an isolation room through the outside. Dr. DAVID OCANDO came outside in the dark to show me the "positive test" explaining something about 3 dots that were barely visible. He told me he would make me an estimate for hospitalization. I asked if it would be very expensive and he said unfortunately. I sat in the isolation room for over an hour with my pup. They gave me 2 estimates - one for hospitalization and one for outpatient care (that suddenly materialized). I asked for the outpatient, as I could not afford to give $6,000. It was stressed that hospitalization is the ideal case in this scenario. Then I was told I could wait in the waiting area until the treatment was finished. I told them I would like to be present for the treatment. The doctor decided to leave the door open and do the treatment in the hallway instead. They stressed he had a 50/50 chance of survival. I went home crying and almost $2k poorer. I was told by the Dr that I would be receiving the notes and the blood work results within 30 minutes by text. I didn't not. They did not give me the antibiotics they charged me for. I took his brother (who shares everything with him - it's a highly contagious disease) to our regular vet and he was negative. After sanitizing my entire house and taking 2 days off of work, I took the sick pup to his vet and they took one look at him and said "this isn't parvo at all" they ran the test along with a parasite and fecal test and everything came back negative and clear. What i truly believe happened is that the assistant ran the first test and it came back negative but the dr wanted to make money off of me. This place is a scam.

At our hospital, when parvovirus is suspected, we follow strict testing and isolation protocols because it is a serious and highly contagious illness. In this case, the initial test was not negative, but instead there was not enough fecal sample collected for the test to fully process due to the diarrhea, which required the test to be repeated. Even faint positive results on a completed test are medically interpreted as positive according to manufacturer guidelines.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot thank the team specially Dr.Paola Vazquez enough. My Dog Bruno had an unexpected health scare, and they saw us almost immediately. From the front desk to the technicians, everyone was incredibly calm and professional during a stressful time. Experiencia fantástica: My beautiful, beloved Max who has been with me for almost 15 years passed away today in Doral Centre Animal Hospital. I took my dog in at 11pm on Feb 17th due to my dog having severe dehydration and being unable to walk, vomiting constantly and urinary issues. My dog was diagnosed the same day with pancreatitis and bladder stones the same day at his vets office. I needed to follow up with another opinion because he wasn't doing well and decided to come to this ER. Unfortunately, Max was not able to recover as well, even though he improved in comparison to how he arrived, thanks to the team. Ultimately, Max had reach an amazing age and after extensive thought and help from the nurses, Dr.Ocando and ESPECIALLY Dr.Moy who helped us in Max's journey to his next life. Thank you to the amazing front desk crew Jackie, Marie and Denise. While I will forever miss my Max, I am forever grateful to the help they provided during this difficult time.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an excellent experience at Doral Center Animal Hospital. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and truly caring toward my pet. From the front desk to the veterinarians, everyone took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure my pet was comfortable and well cared for. Experiencia negativa: I have two dogs, and I brought one of them in who was extremely sick. I was very transparent with the doctors and explained my entire situation. I clearly told them that because my first dog was so ill, I had to switch my second dog’s food as well, and that both of my dogs were eating a gastrointestinal diet. I spent over $1,000 on that visit, even though they knew my dog was in critical condition. They examined him, charged me the money, and never clearly told me how serious his condition truly was. My dog passed away just three days later — literally three days after that visit. Today, I returned simply to purchase the gastrointestinal food that they already know my dogs eat. They refused to sell it to me because I did not want to bring my other dog in for a visit. Despite knowing she eats this food and despite knowing I had no food for her today, they would not help me — simply because they could not charge me for another visit. This experience felt cold, dismissive, and focused more on money than on care or compassion.
We are truly sorry for your loss. We understand how incredibly painful it is to lose a pet, and our hearts go out to you during this time.
After reviewing our records, we could not find that we had examined your second pup. Prescription gastrointestinal diets are considered therapeutic diets and are regulated similarly to medications. In order to dispense them, we must have an established veterinarian-client-patient relationship, which requires a current exam. We are legally and medically unable to provide these diets without first evaluating the pet.

Experiencia negativa: This clinic is amazing and has become my go to for my pets. The doctors and nurses provide excellent care, which is why I trust this place and continue choosing it. That said, today I had a very unpleasant experience when I called to ask about prescribed food for my pet. Since it was my first time doing this, I had a few questions. Unfortunately, Dennise at the front desk was extremely rude. Instead of making the call informative and pleasant, her attitude made the interaction uncomfortable. This is a veterinary clinic, and people call because they care about their pets and often need guidance, especially when something is new. In those situations, patience, respect, and professionalism are essential. This is a paid service, and customers should feel comfortable asking questions about their pet’s needs. I have never experienced anything like this at this clinic before, which is why I want to be very clear that my rating is not based on the clinic itself, but specifically on Dennise’s customer service during this call. I’m leaving this review to address that interaction only, not the overall quality of care, which has always been great

Experiencia fantástica: My recent visit was due to an eye ulcer my dog Nova had. From the moment I arrived there, I was greeted and treated with compassion. From the front desk receptionist, to the tech, all the way to the doctors. They send you the office notes via email so you have easy access to them. They follow up with Nova’s continued care. I have been lucky to only need their services twice and both times have been extremely pleasant. I recommend this center to anyone who is looking for a clinic that truly cares for your pets need. I love how they keep up with you after you leave the office. Makes you not feel alone in the process. Thank you for all your services and although no animal parent wants to visit a clinic because of an issue with their pet, I have complete trust in you guys should I ever need them again. Thank you!

Experiencia negativa: I could not agree more with the reviews illuminating the fraudulent activity taking place at Doral Centre Animal Hospital. My long-time friend, who lives in Doral Isles, took his sick dog to this horrifying and bizarre hospital. My friend said he was charged over $2,500 for a simple blood exam, X-Rays the dog was given the wrong medication, was never called back by the doctors to check on the dog and he died two days later. It is a shame that all this clinic wants is to steal money from scared and desperate people who just want their pets to be cured and happy again. My attorneys and I have filed a lawsuit and contacted Channel 10 WPLG. Please think twice before going to this animal clinic.
Experiencia negativa: I took my cat to Doral Centre Animal Hospital because he was sneezing all day. They charged me $1,600 for a large amount of lab work that turned out to be unnecessary. To make matters worse, they did not give my cat the correct medication, and after three days there was no improvement at all. I then took him to another Pet Hospital, where the doctors immediately told me, “Your cat just has a sinus infection.” They prescribed antibiotics, which the other hospital did not, charged me $99, and my cat began to recover almost right away. I asked for a refund for some of the money and they refused. If you need to take your pet to the hospital and don’t want to be overcharged and lied to by scammers for unnecessary tests or treatments, I strongly recommend staying away from Doral Centre Animal Hospital. Based on my experience, they did not act in my pet’s best interest, and are experts at stealing money from pet owners, and manipulating pet owners based on the pet owner’s emotions. I am profoundly bewildered by the positive reviews.

Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately my 13 year old Dexter did not make it but boy did they try. The staff and doctors were amazing. Seeing photos of him and getting updates from texts made my day. I can’t take everyone enough for being there for not only me and my family but for Dexter on his final days.

Experiencia positiva: 5 star service and experience in person. 1 star for the follow up experience over the phone - it's terrible. If you're waiting on sensitive results back, good luck trying to get a doctor to speak with you or call you back quickly. TLDR I understand that it gets busy and that my dog isn't the only animal they're responsible for, but there 100% needs to be a system to keep people informed of their pets' health status. People are choosing to trust you and the lack of communication/direction we get in response is disrespectful. -- I took my dog to get a CT scan first thing Friday morning and was immediately sent here to Doral Centre AH (purely for proximity purposes) once the results came in as it became clear the situation was time sensitive. The front desk and vets were great in person and attended me quickly. Truly great service there - the doctor (I believe it was Dr. Rodriguez) was very kind, accommodating, patient and attentive. Highly recommend her. I had to leave my dog there overnight for them to monitor her and before I left, I was told someone would reach out around 6pm to let me know how she’s doing. I received a text close to 6pm letting me know the doctor would be calling me within thirty minutes. After an hour and half had passed by with no call from the doctor, I called in. Was told the doctor would call me soon. Called again another hour and a half later and got the same response. Finally spoke with the doctor close to 10:30pm. Aside from letting me know she seemed stable, which I was anxiously waiting to hear, they let me know they'd be doing an echocardiogram and ultrasound first in the morning and that the doctor who would be on shift then would call me by noon. Next day, similar waiting game. Finally picked my dog up late Saturday afternoon and they told me they'd at least have the results for the ultrasound and echocardiogram that same day, while the other tests might take a few more days. So here I am, Monday, once again, waiting for news / for a doctor to share the results from the ultrasound and echocardiogram. I called at noon, was told the doctor would call me soon. Called again around 4:30, same response... Again, I understand that it gets busy and that my dog isn't the only animal they're responsible for, but there 100% needs to be a better way to keep people informed of their pets' health status. People are choosing to trust you with their pets' lives and health. The least you can do in return is be communicative with the patients. There's no such thing as over communicating here. I'd rather get some kind of notification confirming that the test results came in and the doctor on shift will reach out to me by X time to go over them, followed by more messages letting me know that the doctor on shift is running behind schedule but I'm still on their list. That would be much better than the actual alternative, which is getting *absolutely nothing*. No confirmation that the test results came in, no indication of whether a doctor will be calling or when, and having to ultimately call in yourself because enough time has passed that you should already have gotten some kind of update, but haven't. If you're considering coming here for standard in and out veterinarian care like vaccines or treating something quick (ex: a nail came off) then I highly recommend them. But if I could go back, I would personally have chosen another 24/7 animal hospital solely because getting any kind of updates has been a colossal pain in the ass. I've gotten *proactive* and more frequent status updates over both standard bloodwork results and serious exam/test results (ex: when my cat swallowed a string toy) from other vet clinics and animal hospitals like BBAH, Edgewater Pet Clinic, VCA Brickell, and Veterinary Emergency Group in Edgewater. It’s disappointing that Doral Centre AH is not able to do the same. Here, once you leave the facility, you're made to feel like a random number on their to do list, with no idea of what number you are or how long the list is. Not a great feeling…
Experiencia negativa: BEWARE!!!! with this guys i lost my beloved 2 years dog this placee only think in Money!!! My fog arrive at the hospital with pancreatitis and the dr David Ocando send me with the dog to my house and give some pills and 1 probiotics charge me $800 and told me if conditions going worse you need to hospitalized the dr knows the conditions going worse my dog need immediately care but this money dr send me to my house, next day i send my dog to the family veterinary and the dog dead next day from a cardiac arrest a puppy with 2 years and 11 months THIS GUYS ONLY THINK IN MONEY BEWARE!!!!!

Every visit, the entire team is kind, patient, and incredibly professional. They treat my pets with so much love, as if they were their own, and that means the world to me. Experiencia negativa: $2,000. Mark my words that’s what they will quote you no matter what you are there for. Ask questions; get a second opinion. Just because they offer a treatment or service and quote it, doesn’t make it necessary. Be skeptical. This is a profit machine. And lonnnnnggg wait times. Whether you make an appointment or come in with an emergency that is not immediately life threatening. In the 3 times I went, the wait times were between 2 - 7 hours. They put you in a room and you wait. Then finally someone comes in to check your pet and then leaves and you wait a long time. Then they come back eventually and quote you a price and if you agree to it you wait a long time again before they provide the service. And no follow up calls to check on your pet. No need because they got your money.

Experiencia negativa: First I will say that I am thankful to have a 24 hour vet hospital in Doral, so the fact that this place exists is a blessing. Having said that, their service leaves much to be desired. We have taken our dog there twice recently during “off hours” for other vets. The most recent time, they cut a cyst off of his back. We were told they were taking him back for surgery and he should be ready to go in about 2 hours. I went home then went back in 2 hours and they hadn’t even started the anesthesia. They just took him back and left him in a cage for 2 hours. If they couldn’t get to him for a couple of hours they could’ve just told us that and we would understand. Then they charged us a lot of money for lab work to send tissue off from the cyst for testing and said they would share the results within 5 days. It has now been 19 days and we they still haven’t given us the results. I have called and they told me they would have a Dr call me back and it never happens. We just don’t feel cared for there especially by front desk staff. They may be wonderful folks who are just overwhelmed because they are understaffed, but I can’t recommend this place to anyone unless it’s an emergency after hours and there are no other options. They just don’t seem able to provide attentive service and communication like other vet clinics.

During after-hours visits, wait times can vary based on patient volume and medical prioritization. Additionally, histopathology samples (such as lumps and masses) are sent to an external laboratory and typically take about two weeks to return, and we understand how worrisome the wait can be to receive these results. At our hospital, our doctors do call you as soon as those results are received and reviewed. Experiencia fantástica: We took our 13 year old girl there and from a-z this hospital was phenomenal. I have to say not only did our pup survive but the quality of this place was beyond my expectations. Our pup did spend 2 days at the hospital so in terms of charges hard to say if it was expensive or reasonable but 2 days in an emergency hospital is definitely not cheap. I have since been back a few times for blood work and everyone is just beyond nice and caring. I will definitely continue to come here and not only did they save my best friend but also shown loge and compassion.

We took our reactive dog here due to an emergency and the front desk lady Paulina was so nice and they did very well with her, regardless of the fact that she does not like vets and we had to leave her overnight Dr. Rodriguez took care of her very well and she actually started to get along with the beds at the end. Would 10 out of 10 recommend they saved our dog. She is very happy and healthy now will never be giving her a bone again.
Experiencia negativa: Dog needed a blood transfusion so we called beforehand, checked in and sat around for 5+ hours. By 3a my dog still hadn’t had the transfusion and passed away. We’re assuming they may have not had the blood on hand, which they should’ve told us so we could take him somewhere he could be treated immediately. They told us he died from a blood clot resulting in a heart attack, which we’re unsure how they even diagnosed his cause of death given there were no tests and only 15 or so min between calling us saying he was in distress and our dog passing. He was only 3.

Experiencia fantástica: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yesterday, Saturday, Nov 1st 2025, I took my doggy Flynn to Doral Centre Animal Hospital because she was bleeding. She was taken care of immediately. I was so nervous, and she was in a lot of pain (I honestly thought I might have to put her to sleep.) Dr. García examined her carefully, explained everything to us, and reassured us that it wasn’t necessary to put her down. He was extremely professional, compassionate, and patient. The entire team was amazing; from the receptionists to the nurses, and even the marketing director, Alexa, who was so kind and supportive when she saw Dr. García talking to us. Flynn had to stay for about five hours while they performed the procedure. They later called us to pick her up, and I couldn’t believe the difference, she was already walking again when earlier she couldn’t even stand! The staff explained all the post-procedure care in detail and reminded us that we could contact them 24/7 with any concerns. The fact that this clinic is open on a Saturday and available 24/7 is such a blessing for pet owners. The clinic itself is spotless, cozy, and welcoming, truly a plus for the South Florida area. Honestly, what an incredible team! 100% recommended. ❤️
Experiencia fantástica: Last week, I took my dog Atlas, to the Doral Centre Animal Hospital to do an ultrasound cause my primary vet told me his urine analysis was brown and it’s blood in his urine. Met with Dr. Nino and discussed my concerns and when the ultrasound was completed, they have stones in his urine bladder. Dr.Nino called me the next day to come in and do X-rays to make sure the stones were in his urine bladder. Dr.Burke reviewed the images and gave me option of special diet or surgery. She was transparent on both options and I have decided to do surgery. Scheduled surgery for 11/5, took him in and the overnight nurse, Kayla was going over the procedure and was transparent with all of my questions. She has made reassured me this was a good decision and best for Atlas. During the day of the surgery, Dr.Burke called me to let me know he had one patient ahead of him and will let me know he is finished. Following up few hours later, Dr.Burke gave me exceptional news that Atlas did not need surgery. She wanted to do the X-rays and ultrasound before the surgery and after reviewing the Images it seems Atlas passed it naturally. Dr.Burke and her team thoroughly checked Atlas and made sure he was cleared from any stones. It’s was the best news I have received and so thankful that surgery was not needed. I recommend going to this hospital for your pets. The staff and the doctors are exceptional and confident with their work. Truly blessed to have a hospital that is open 24 hours close to home.
Experiencia negativa: Review of Doral Center Hospital 2801 nw 87 ave suite 4 Doral FL 33172 Unfortunately, my experience at Doral Center Hospital was highly unsatisfactory. I brought my cat in with a tail injury, and from the start, the care was lacking. I was not allowed to be present during the examination, and no proper treatment was provided at that time. While the staff was friendly, the veterinarian did not demonstrate efficiency or genuine concern for my cat’s well-being. The explanations given were vague, and the quality of care was very poor. The costs were also exorbitant. A simple X-ray and the review by another veterinarian amounted to over $1000, without any actual treatment provided at that time. This clearly shows that the clinic prioritizes profit over animal care. Additionally, upon returning home, I noticed my cat was bleeding from his anus, something that was not present before the visit. The lack of transparency and the separation from the owner during the process create distrust and increase the risk of negative consequences. For all these reasons, my recommendation is that you do not visit this clinic under any circumstances, unless it’s an extreme case, and always with great caution. You cannot fully trust that they provide proper treatment. In summary, based on my experience, I consider this clinic a scam and I do not recommend it.
Experiencia fantástica: My mini dachshund is 10 years old and I’ve been going to Doral Centre ever since she was a puppy. If you know dachshund’s, you know they are notorious for getting into things. One of the worst situations was gum and they 100% saved her life. They are the absolute best in emergencies, for routine appointments and follow ups. Dog care can be expensive but I have NEVER felt like I have been taken advantage of. I loved their old location because they were so close to the Woodland lodge kennel but the move to the new facility is great! It’s so clean and is a state of the art office. Not walking distance but still super close to the kennel. The staff and doctors are always incredible and Mary at the front desk is always so welcoming, kind and helpful. Highly recommend bringing your fur baby here.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an extreme emergency with Daisy, my basset. She had been throwing up for 2 days and I couldn't wait for her vet, so I brought her here. Immediately was attended to and received compassionate attention. We were placed in a waiting room and spoke with the most thorough vet tech and veterinary, and although they recommended she be hospitalized, I couldn't stand being away from her. She was sent home with medication, and its been a total 180 in 24 hours. I will be happily scheduling a follow-up for radiology for her issues to see if its been taken care of. I highly recommend this hospital for the wonderful attention and care they demonstrated to my baby.

They rob you blind the second you walk in. $155 just to show up, then a bunch of kids barely out of high school (19–25 years old) pretending they know what they’re doing. They slapped a cheap bandage on my dog, charged me $58 for it, and it literally fell off as soon as I got home. They wasted two hours just to put it on, then snatched $213 in under a minute. This place is nothing but a scam. They don’t care about helping animals — their only goal is to empty your wallet. RUN FAR AWAY.

Her primary clinic was closed so I looked up for an urgent care in google and I drove through this place. Thanks to those angels from secretaries, to nurses and veterinary who save her tiny life ♥️ the attention was excellent, quickly and efficient. They treat my baby very well. Customer service 10/10. Experiencia fantástica: While it's not the most economical vet, the staff at Doral Centre saved our 15 year old cat. We thought our female cat was ready to leave us when we picked her up to go home, but the regime prescribed by Dr. K was key to extend the life of our Bella. Now she's much more more comfortable and living whatever number of days she has left with us comfortably and surrounded by love. I mentioned cost before, but Dr. K game us enough medicines and supplements that we didn't have to pay more out of pocket which helped a lot. Highly recommended for emergencies and for great service from both regular staff and medical staff.
Experiencia negativa: Killed my dog!! I brought my dog here because he was struggling to breathe. I told the lady at the front desk that he is a big dog and I need help getting him out of my car. She came out alone, a small girl, and picked him up in a wrangled manner. Right when we get inside the door of the hospital the nurse drops him on the ground. I immediately went to the ground with him holding him, crying and screaming for help. It was then that that I watched and held him as he took his last breath. I could tell he was in so much pain from that fall. They took him to the operating room and then told me I would need to go to the front desk to fill out paper work. When I got there I was shaking and crying uncontrollable and the they said they wanted me to pay 700 dollars as a down payment for additional tests, and my dog was already dead. Then they stuck me in a room to wait. When the doctor came in to tell me that my dog was dead he had a smerk on his face and then said that his nurse never dropped my dog and that my dog was dead before he had arrived to the facility. I was outraged. I saw, and so did everyone else in the waiting room, we all watched that nurse drop my dog. Trust me nobody would miss it cause I was screaming crying. All he wanted was to avoid accountability. Instead of showing sympathy and compassion I was faced with a vet calling me a liar and telling me with a smile on his face that my dog was dead. My best friend for 11 years left this earth in a tramamatic and painful way because of this hospital. I will never go here again, but I truly hope they get their act together for future animals that visit them. To reply to your management comment below, this is 100% the hospital I took my dog, I will never forget this horrid time in my life, I still have flash backs till this day of how poorly you treated my dog and myself. Please dont point fingers to other hospitals, what you did was wrong, own it and grow, dont hurt more animals and their owners in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: I was reluctant to take Thor to the vet, but his condition—bloody stools and vomiting—left me no choice. Without wasting any time, I rushed him to the clinic, where the staff provided attentive care and thoroughly examined my little companion. I am grateful for their support, as Thor improved significantly after four days and has since returned to his normal self.

He passed away suddenly in the early hours of the morning, similar to how a family member might leave without wanting to cause pain. He died of a heart attack. We didn't have an opportunity to get to the hospital. Over the past 11 years, he taught us what true unconditional love is. This type of love asks for nothing and is content with little. From day one, he was a special being. We want to thank the staff who gave us comfort and strength to face such a painful moment. I want to thank all of the Drs who help me save my baby and did everything as possible for her to stay here with my family I brought her home after 4 days at the hospital and she recover little by little and she’s now doing amazing they couldn’t assure she was going to be Ok after the recovery but she is and I am more than happy to have take her to this place thanks again I am very greatful
Experiencia negativa: This clinic took advantage of our sick dog and our desperation. Our dog was terminally ill and they suggested costly procedures and unnecessary hospitalization. They even convinced us to buy a large bag of dry food for a dog that wasn't drinking or eating. Our dog paid for their greed.

Experiencia negativa: This place misdiagnosed and over treated my dog. They run expensive tests that are not needed just to take advantage of you. We had multiple visits, overnight stays, and meds just to find out from one visit at another vet that she didn’t need to be on all of the medications and the true issue was a vitamin deficiency that a simple blood test could’ve solved and over the counter supplements will fix. They got 7k out of me with NO improvement in my dog so I got a second opinion and within one visit was able to find a solution to my dogs problems. Do not take your animal here!
Experiencia negativa: Recently went here because my dog twisted her nail which unfortunately it’s not the first time it happened, but this is also why I know it is typically a quick procedure with little pain throughout the entirety of the nail removal process. HOWEVER DR.COCHRAN was unfortunately the vet that took care of us and he made the process so long and painful my dog was YELPING for at-least 10 minutes and I have NEVER heard her yelp so loudly for so long. He was overall aggressive with the process and kept saying “he hasn’t done anything yet” and “why are you being dramatic” to a dog in PAIN that is being held down with a bleeding and hanging nail. He proceeded to use inappropriate tools and said “oh well we don’t have q tips that sucks,” instead of going and grabbing q tips which would’ve prevented more pain then a a wooden stick. Think about it, using a hard wooden stick to apply something to a wound that a dog is clearly already in a lot of pain for instead of being ethical and using the proper tools like a soft q tip. Dr. Cochran more like Dr.Cocky because he has no observable concern towards animals and in the middle of my dog YELPING he also fully stopped the process of pulling the nail out and turned around just to talk back to the person with me when they asked if all of this was necessary. I know this process does not have to be so painful and prolonged and I’m not sure why on top of it Dr.Cochran was so immature and unprofessional. AND THEN he left the room without saying a word leaving us all traumatized. But thankfully the vet tech was such an angel who went above and beyond to make the process smoother.
Experiencia fantástica: DCAH has been my go to vet since 2023. When I had an emergency that my kids left their candy out and my puppy got to it and needed emergency treatment they were available. I could not afford everything that was urgently needed and was doing the bare minimum that I could afford on the spot. Took out a care credit card and the doctor waived the rest of the fees. Still helped my Chewy and saved her life. Years later I now also have Luna who just developed a rash a few weeks ago. Took her in to get checked, had her physical done and was put on an antibiotic treatment which has improved! I’ve never seen another animal there that was out of control. It’s like they all know that this place is only there to help. The staff is great and the doctors also! I rather drive there than the place near me only because they truly do whatever’s best for the animals and their owners. Thank you guys for doing right by my babies.

The staff from the front to the back is excellent. The doctors always make sure you understand what theyre doing and explain everything in a way that is easy to understand. Then today May 29th I received a card. With a message from the gorgeous staff. Personalize. Hand written by the staff. I have never heard of anything like that. That gesture touched my soul more than the staff can ever imagine. Wow your office blew me out this world. I was in tears. Not because of Luna. But because they felt my pain. While others that I know say it's just a dog. People I have never met felt my pain. Wow. Just Wow. Who ever owns Doral center Animal hospital... my hat goes out to you. I will frame this card and put it on the walls of my home. The home Luna lived in. Thank you so much. You deserve a metal. Experiencia negativa: Same as any other vet that will try to get you to pay for any and every unnecessary test to take your money when all you need is a refill on a prescription of galliprant which is the equivalent of needing bloodwork for a human to get a prescription for an NSAID after the vet originally told us that we would have no problem calling in that prescription in the future but now they tell me my only options are to take her in and pay hundreds of dollars for bloodwork that they don’t need or wait for the original vet to be in the office which isn’t for another 5 days. Modern medicine is where they care more about their pockets than the animals they treat. Do better In response to your reply - That is a weak response as it is clear by the majority of every review you have that isn't a routine visit you guys are after the money. My dog had bloodwork done well within the last 6 months which is on the short end of how often bloodwork should be or needs to be done for galliprant and that's assuming she was constantly on the medication which she hasn't been. I would feel better if you guys were atleast honest about what you are trying to do and just charge me a premium for the prescription rather than make my dog come in for no reason. Do better. 0 Stars if possible.

First, they gave me a ridiculously overpriced estimate for basic tests. Then, after running them, they conveniently claimed the results were “inconclusive” and pushed for even more expensive tests — almost doubling the original cost. After that, they hit me with an outrageous surgery quote, clearly designed to exploit my concern for my dog. And the worst part? When I hesitated, they had the audacity to suggest euthanasia — yes, putting my dog down — as the “best option” if I couldn’t pay. That’s not just unprofessional, that’s disgusting and heartless. Here’s the kicker: I took my dog to a different vet. She’s alive, doing well, and the issue wasn’t even close to what this clinic made it out to be. They lied, exaggerated, and tried to manipulate me emotionally and financially. This clinic is a money-hungry business that preys on vulnerable pet owners. They shouldn’t be operating, and I sincerely hope they’re investigated or shut down. Stay far, far away from this place.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in on April 5th to see what was wrong with my baby girl Arya (Tiny) and everyone was truly so helpful and compassionate. I sadly received horrible news and we put my baby down yesterday but I wouldn’t have done it anywhere else, mostly due to Melanie, she was so sweet to me and really helped me during this process. Thank you to all for being there for me and for being so good to my Tiny. Thank you Melanie for giving me hugs when I needed it and for all your kind words, I’ll never forget it.

Experiencia fantástica: I appreciate all the help I received from this place. My dog couldn’t make it (he was 12 yo and had a heart attack) but they were very attentive, and I received a card with signatures from all the staff which I’m very grateful. Such a humane gift.

Experiencia negativa: I took my pup to this location because he had a cough and weakness, but the facility wanted to conduct a spinal x-ray and a pancreatic test, which would have cost me $1,600. These tests were unrelated to my original visit. Be very careful and check everything they do to your dog. They are willing to subject your animal to unnecessary radiation in order to line their pockets. They told me he had no lung issues, after another vets opinion it was found that he did have an infection.

Experiencia negativa: This place is a waste of time if your dog may have been poisoned by something. I came in because my dog ate an oxygen absorber packet and the hospital asked me to call a pet poison control line so that they could figure out the next steps. Obviously I was worried so I followed the instructions and call the poison control line (which charges $89 by the way) and then the hospital needed to do their own separate treatment which was estimated to almost $700. Fine. No choice. Well, why I am so annoyed is because why would they have me call and then the pet poison line tells me that my pet does not need vomiting induced but the hospital was already working on inducing vomiting and giving her x-rays. What a waste of money to come here if they are just going to follow what they think is best before waiting on guidance from the poison line. Save your money and don’t be an idiot like me. Call the poison line first and then find out if emergency care is needed.

Experiencia fantástica: Doral Center Animal Hospital has been my go-to place for all emergencies with my dog, Xena. They have always provided exceptional care, from her TPLO surgery with Dr. Hernandez to the removal of cancerous tumors with Dr. Vega, and most recently, her Porous Titanium TTA performed by Dr. Gorostiza (Dr. G). Along the way, they also discovered she develops stones in her urine, helping us stay ahead of any issues. I truly appreciate how they are always just a call or email away. A huge thank you to Dr. Olsen, Dr. Moi, and Dr. Ocando for their continued care during follow-ups and for addressing all our concerns. I am grateful to have such a dedicated and compassionate team looking after my baby!

Experiencia fantástica: Last year in March 4, 2024 Stich was attacked by pitbull I brought my dog a Shi Tzu with 3 bites dying.. it was horrific! Stich has been with me for 16 years! Thanks to the vet & all the personnel in the Hospital that saved his life stich still alive! I got married in December 2024 and Stich was able to be part of our family and wedding thanks to you all. Experiencia negativa: On January 8, 2025, my wife and I took our cat to this emergency trauma center, believing he needed urgent care. He was in pain, lethargic, and refusing to eat. After tests, including x-rays, they found nothing wrong and suggested an unseen injury. They treated him for pain, but he had to stay for two distressing days. Compounding our anguish, they diagnosed him with a "very rare" issue, implying he was exaggerating his pain. They sedated him with medications like morphine and gabapentin, and when we picked him up on January 10, he appeared miserable. They dismissed his state as simply being heavily sedated. Things worsened when we returned on January 11 around 3 AM. I explained that my cat was deteriorating, and after a long wait, we received devastating news: he had liver cancer and was dying. They suggested euthanasia and insisted that treatment options were irrelevant since he only had one to two days left. In disbelief, we sought a second opinion from another vet. After sharing his records with an animal rescue, they confirmed our suspicions: none of it made sense. On January 15, a new veterinarian in Hollywood diagnosed him with a heart problem that was causing fluid retention in his chest and abdomen. They provided medication to drain the fluids and a treatment plan for his recovery. Now, my cat is happy and playing, and liver cancer has been ruled out entirely. The stress and trauma caused by this facility are unimaginable. We were misled into believing we were doing the right thing, nearly losing our cat due to their negligence. They charged us for unnecessary treatments and pushed for euthanasia when it was unwarranted. This experience from this facility has left me feeling incredibly angry and betrayed. Experiencia negativa: I’m very disappointed with this place to say the least. Im not one to leave reviews but i have given this place multiple chances to prove me wrong and each time it’s the same result. I’ve brought two of my dogs separate times of their life and both of them being old and telling me the SAME thing 5 years apart. that they need to be hospitalized for 48 hours and charge you $4,500!! With my second dog it was late and nothing else near me to take my dog. Long story short they were giving my dog medications that nearly killed her and made her worse ! Two different doctors from other vet clinics were able to confirm this !! My dog is fine now and being treated correctly. If you could go anywhere else please do. Save your dog, your time and your money!!! I highly recommend another ER like LeadER is WAY BETTER !

We see where you were in with one of your pet in 2023 after being hit by a car and was bleeding from the face. I am sorry that you and he had to experience that.
We will always offer the highest level of care for all pets. If that is not possible, we will always work with everyone to come up with a plan that works for them. Inflation has definitely hit us all in the last 2 years and we strongly recommend to obtain pet health insurance from a company of your choice so when these unfortunate accidents happen, it is not a hardship.
We are unable to locate your current pet on our system; likely he was entered under another family member’s name.

Experiencia fantástica: My Charlie didn’t make it but not for a lack of trying by this animal hospital. He was run over by a truck and by the time we got there, he was already gone. Still, once we got there they were ready to do whatever they could for my Charles and they tried to revive him for 15 minutes to no avail. They were kind and compassionate and gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye, which ended up being hours for me and my husband crying next to his dead body. They charged a fair price, specially for his cremation, and I received his remains today and everything came packaged so beautifully and with care and even received a handwritten card from them. It’s still a kick in the gut to even write this review but I wanted to say thank you.
Experiencia positiva: Lovely compassionate people. Vet wore gloves and could not find out that she had a bite not arthritis. Lots of meds but I gave 3 days worth. Charge but wS a 24 hr clinic $271.00. I still recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: Doral Centre Animal Hospital was amazing! They took such great care of my dog after he had in unfortunate accident where he was struck by a car. The kept me updated and every time I called a Veterinarian spoke to me and provided me with the latest information on my baby! Even after discharge they continued to check on us and answer or questions and concerns. Highly recommend this location, it's doctors and staff!

Experiencia negativa: This Hospital is not accredited by The American Animal Hospital Association that gives the excellence for veterinary practice, my puppy died here and they do not have the right equipment like ultrasound etc. they have to hire someone to do this, I had to wait until next day, so they won't treat or save your beloved pet because the poor treatment they do here , they just want upfront money before treating your pet otherwise it will die. Inside it just looks like storage ,they told me that they have 18 pets but inside just 3 pets. Back there looks like a kitchen with few supplies. And the counters are made by woods that attract mold ,fungus and bacteria , I work in Hospital and this place is far away to be a Animal Hospital, I looked up in Google and this Hospital does not come out as accredited veterinary Hospital , I really regret to bring my puppy here, they send me a sorry card with the print paws from my puppy ,but how can they get it her paws weren't touch that day because she was with me and why they did not metion it that it will be nice so I could put my print next to her paws well good luck if you take your pet here. But hope do not happen what I'm going through now .
