Experiencia fantástica: I had my first ever pet ER experience here when my seven-month-old puppy, Teddy, had a possible exposure to a toxic medication. I was understandably anxious, but the team at VEG ER for Pets was incredible. Dr. Terra and Priscilla, the CEC, could not have been more calm, reassuring, and compassionate. They walked me through everything, acted quickly, and made sure Teddy received exactly the care he needed. Their professionalism and kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. The location is also very convenient with easy parking, which matters in an emergency. I’m incredibly grateful to this team and so glad I found this clinic. Highly recommend VEG ER for Pets if you ever need emergency care for your pet.

Experiencia fantástica: The team at Veterinary Emergency Group was incredibly professional, caring, and kind during one of the most difficult moments I’ve experienced with my cat. I rushed to the hospital because my cat was struggling to breathe, and sadly, she passed away shortly after I arrived. Even though the situation was heartbreaking, the staff treated both of us with such compassion and respect. They were extremely accommodating, gentle, and supportive, and they made a very painful moment a little easier to handle. I’m truly grateful for the empathy and professionalism they showed. I highly recommend Veterinary Emergency Group to anyone who needs urgent care for their pet. Their team genuinely cares. ❤️‍❤️

You’re in great hands with the entire staff but a special thank you to Dr. Brannon for the after care treatment for my Frenchie, to Dr. Bush for performing a successful surgery & especially to Dr. Tarra, the first to take us in when I was frantic and assure us everything would be okay.

Experiencia fantástica: One night in late January, my dog threw up, paced around, and refused to sit down, and I knew something big was wrong. Since she had pancreatitis exactly a year ago and had to be hospitalized immediately for it, I thought it was something related. I took her to VEG, where we were seen immediately even though they were pretty busy. The whole process took a few hours, but it never felt like we were forgotten or anything like that. I explained the situation, they did a physical exam, then an x-ray, and scheduled an abdominal ultrasound for two days later. They diagnosed my dog with a leaking mass in her abdomen, but couldn’t do anything further to treat it, and provided me with a list of internal medicine specialists to choose from to continue her treatment. (However, I did my research and scheduled a specialist that was not on the list because the ones suggested either had bad reviews, had awful replies to reviews from the owner of the business, or couldn’t schedule me for the next month. For those curious, we went to Dr. Fishkin at VCA Hollywood, who is amazing!) Dr. Iribar was the main person to handle our case at VEG and she was fantastic. Compassionate, knowledgeable, and very sweet with my dog. I also want to give a shoutout to Ashley, who was helping out on the floor as a nurse both days we went in, even though she said she wasn’t scheduled to be doing that. I do want to point out that this is an ER and you have to expect that more urgent cases will be cared for before you. On our second visit for the ultrasound, we waited almost two hours after our appointment because there were four patients ahead of us with more critical cases. That’s just an expectation you have to understand. Oh, and due to the open-floor concept of the building, we did watch the team try and unfortunately be unable to save a dog that wasn’t breathing while we were waiting. I didn’t think I’d watch another dog die that day, so if you can’t handle that possibility, maybe don’t go here. For what it’s worth, one of the doctors did come speak to me after that event to make sure I was okay after seeing that.

Experiencia fantástica: Have visited a couple of times with my dog. Both times we received excellent and thorough care. The staff is gentle and loving. They are upfront about costs and explain everything. Dr. Mish specifically has been amazing to work with! Very thankful for her care of our dog!

Experiencia negativa: Please be aware this place preys on your desperation with the final objective of ripping you off. Yes, I am definitely mad an angry for how we an our pet were treated at this place, and now, after a week of the incident, calmed and with my dog fully recovered, I wanted to share our experience and provide evidence supporting my claims. Of course, before writing this review, I made a formal complaint through DBPR who is supposed to investigate and provide licenses for these establishments. Hope they look into this. Anyway, we came to this establishment (VEG ER for Pets) to bring our dog that just had a small leg injury. Without even checking the pet, the dog was needled for IV and was applied different pain medicines without any consultation. Several procedures took place thereafter including X rays and so (again, without consultation). At this stage, no veterinary had yet even look at the dog's leg. A veterinary came to us after a while with a long list of procedures the dog was being subjected to, and that we had to approve and pay in advance in order to continue. Different doctors and nurses at the establishment explained to us many absurd things that could be happening to our dog from a massive internal bleeding, to spinal cord fracture just to name a few. They have not even examined the leg yet, and actually never did. Since we were reluctant to sign the approval for the procedures they wanted to carry out, they left us alone clearly knowing that we were nervous and worried about all the unfounded diagnosis they have shared with us (clearly meant to generate fear). We decided to take our dog and leave, not before after they made us pay them $600 without any clarity under what basis were they charging this. I can certainly probe that all the procedures this establishment wanted to carry out were unnecessary and were meant just to increase the bill. That same night we left VEG ER for Pets with our pet and went to another veterinary where our dog was cured and treated completely differently for the same injury. The list of procedures at this establishment is completely different. The doctor quickly cleaned and look at the wound upon arrival, no IV was necessary though they did administer some medicine and did a X Ray to ensure everything was OK. In contrast, the list of procedures from VEG includes so many items that were total unnecessary and unfounded. Below, just a few of the things that appeared in VEG's list: Laceration Repair E-collar Peripheral Catheter Penrose Drain Lactated Ringers And there were so many more blood tests and medicines that the list is 3 pages long, while in the other establishment is just bandage, some medicines, x rays and that is it. I have shared the two establishment's lists of procedures with DBPR's officers for the investigation.

Experiencia fantástica: cannot say enough good things about VEG ER. They truly saved my dog’s life. From the moment we walked in, every single person treated us with urgency, compassion, and professionalism. In one of the most stressful moments of my life, they were calm, confident, and incredibly kind. Dr. Brannen performed Cooper’s surgery, and I am forever grateful for his skill and steady care. You can tell he takes his responsibility seriously and genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Emond has also been amazing with Cooper’s aftercare, guiding us through recovery with patience, clarity, and real empathy. The nurses and staff are equally exceptional. There are too many wonderful people to name individually, but every single one of them has been attentive, gentle, and deeply caring. They don’t just treat animals they support the humans who love them, too. VEG ER is a place filled with true professionals who lead with both expertise and heart. If you ever find yourself in an emergency, this is exactly where you want to be. Thank you for saving Cooper. We will never forget it.

Experiencia fantástica: Thanks to Dr Terra, my cat Brandy is alive and well after an asthma emergency yesterday. Her nurse team, Gabby and Gi, were so supportive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend VEG!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely horrible place to take your dog especially if you want all your money to go down the drain. They weren’t attentive at all with over 8 doctors on stand by while we waiting just about 4 hours there. They didn’t help our dog at all besides leaving IV on his system which then led to him being unable to urinate due to his bladder getting to full. Later on he ends up passing at another vet due to the pain he must’ve been going through because of all the fluids in his body.

Experiencia fantástica: The entire cooperation was caring , concern informative and waisted not even a minute before they took my pet in.. Even before they ask me my name. As soon as I hit the door someone came and immediately took him in for treatment. Kept me informed every step of the way.. Not a single person was having a bad day. So polite and caring as if my pet was their very own. I was trying to figure out if they was trying to get my dog. But I noticed they treated everyone that came in their doors the same way. I am still in shock. God Bless those hard working people. I love them .

Experiencia negativa: The prices here are insane. They wanted over 9.6k to treat a cat for a “urinary blockage” which they claimed the cat had stones without doing any tests and was going to die if I didn’t do that procedure. Unfortunately it was a Sunday and my vet was closed but luckily he answers emails quickly on sundays. To insert a catheter was 1.7k and to just drain with syringe was 450 (typically most catheter inserts are $250-300 at most places) i was told cat will die unless I do the full treatment there and odds were it will happen again. but anyways long story short, we drained him, went to my vet, my cat had ZERO stones. He simply needed antibiotics and anti-inflammatory. No need to even unblock him because he was peeing next morning (possibly from the anesthesia) Granted the vet was super nice, but I was recommended a service that was unnecessary before even running any tests or lab work. My vet did ultrasound & lab work & he had a urinary infection. Explained what could cause blockage and showed me ways to avoid as well as things to do at home. When you hesitate, they will come back with other options for you. Obviously I hesitated at a 9.6k estimate for something where we hadn’t seen ultrasounds or lab work for.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Ragbeer, Dr. Bush, Nurse Collopy and the sweet helper at the front desk, Yuni took care of my new feral kitten. She unfortunately needed an emergency tail amputation and follow-up for her stitches. I would recommend VEG to anyone needing extremely kind, compassionate and experienced pet emergency services. Thank you VEG!!

Experiencia fantástica: This place is awesome!!! I came here a couple of years ago and I am now writing this because I completely forgot. When my dog got ran over by a car she was very hurt and was unable to walk properly. We didn’t know where to go to but this place is awesome because they are open 24 hours and it’s convenient for situations like this. I 10/10 recommend this place! They are so loving with your animals!!!

I called after hours around 11 p.m., and to my relief, they were immediately available, calm, and eager to help. When I brought Miami in for treatment, the entire staff was incredibly friendly, compassionate, and attentive. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that their love for animals is genuine and goes far beyond simply providing a service. The care, kindness, and professionalism made a stressful situation so much easier, and I’m deeply grateful for the support they gave both me and my cat Miami. If you want a medical staff that cares about your pet just as much as you do, Dr. Brannon, Nurse Sandra and the rest of the staff won’t let you or your pet down.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a bit of a scare with my dog and rushed her in before 8am. While there was a short wait, she was immediately seen and assessed as stable, which gave me a lot of reassurance while waiting for the doctor. Dr. Brannon was outstanding: professional, thorough, and kind. He explained everything clearly and never made me feel silly for coming in, even though it turned out to be something very minor. I’m so grateful for the care and peace of mind they provided.

Experiencia fantástica: I had such an amazing experience with this emergency veterinary service. From the moment we arrived, Elexus was incredibly kind and welcoming. She greeted us right away, took us back quickly, helped with our initial registration, and checked us out at the end. She truly made the entire process smooth and stress-free. We were seen very quickly, which was such a relief in an emergency situation. The doctor, Dr. Ragbeer, and nurse who cared for my cat were absolutely wonderful. So gentle, compassionate, and thorough. My cat usually doesn’t act nice to other people, but they handled him with such care and calmness that he stayed relaxed and cooperative the entire time. It really showed how experienced and loving they are with animals. Everything about our visit was perfect — from the efficiency to the kindness and level of care. Last week was a very stressful week, they took exceptional care of my dog, Suni, with compassion, patience, and outstanding medical expertise. I want to begin by giving special and primary recognition to Dr. Patrick Brennen, who performed a difficult and urgent procedure on 2/1/26 at 6:00 AM and then personally followed up with me to ensure Suni was improving. Dr. Brennen had clearly reviewed all prior notes, understood Suni’s condition immediately, and stayed with me during an incredibly hard moment. His clinical skill, calm demeanor, and genuine care were instrumental in resolving the problem and helping Suni recover. He knew exactly how to handle the procedure and how to support both patient and owner during a critical time. We are fortunate to get to see Ashley! She is such a ray of sunshine and loves what she does! so knowledgeable and helpful-always grateful for her and her help. I am deeply grateful to the many VEG team members who supported us to get my dog better including Ashley, Maddy, Giselle, David, Carolina, Dr. Williams, Dr. Macarena Terra, Dr. Bush, Dr. Iribar, Dr. Verbiz, Pam Medina, Priscilla, Estela, Yuni, Brandi, Valentina, and Darron, along with the entire VEG Miami staff. Every interaction reflected teamwork, empathy, and true dedication to patient care. Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say good things about this emergency clinic. I had to go after finding my Cane Corso who ate rat poison & this team took immediate action in treating my dog but also as important, me . I was terrified about the possible outcome but they walked me through the process when I was a mess emotionally & Gabe amazing car to my Brutus. Luckily, me forcing peroxide on his mouth before rushing him to vet worked & my boy came home a few hours later. A horrible mistake on my part but they handled everything so professionally & with so much compassion to which I’m eternally grateful & will recommend to all I know & who will listen. Experiencia positiva: I’m giving Veterinary Emergency Group in Miami 3 stars overall, but 5 stars for Dr. Terra and the amazing team members who helped my baby, Nova, after her car accident. Dr. Terra is incredibly intelligent, compassionate, and skilled — she knew exactly what to do and treated Nova as if she were her own. I truly hope the clinic recognizes her hard work and the care she gives even in challenging circumstances. I also deeply appreciate the honest opinion and not just praying on vulnerable dog parents to cash out their wallet unnecessary medical interventions. Nova is healing on his own no surgery needed!! The reason for the 3-star rating is the long wait — about an hour before we were fully attended to — which seemed due to being understaffed. The great team did become prepared right when we got on scene with Niva but when more emergencies followed in we had to wait while dogs were being performed surgery on. I genuinely hope the company invests in hiring more staff or having additional on-call support for days with high emergency volume. The medical care was excellent, but the wait time was tough in such a stressful situation.

Experiencia fantástica: My mom rushed my dog here yesterday 01/23/26 late at night because he was breathing heavily and on the car ride he passed away and when my mom got there 5 doctors came rushing to help and give cpr to revive him . I’m SO GRATEFUL a place and people like this exist , even though my dog didn’t make it I’m glad my mom brought him here . Your efforts are forever appreciated by me. Truly thank you .

They were fast to take care of Roxy and accommodated her needs. They were able to get everything out of her very quickly and safely. My husband and I were extremely impressed with the level and quality of service. They were so sweet and caring with her. We cannot thank the team enough for their help, knowledge, and kindness. They truly are wonderful! We hope to not have to be back, but if we do have another emergency we will be coming to them.

Experiencia fantástica: VEG is amazing. All I can say is wow. I watched the doctors and staff for hours, go back and forth from animal to animal, pouring their all into each patient. It was heartbreaking to witness how many poor fur babies came in, chaos everywhere, but the staff at this clinic were so attentive and caring. They helped my cat Cleo get back to her healthy self, I couldn't be more grateful!

Everyone was friendly, made us feel at ease, and truly showed care in my girl's well-being. They even walked me to my car since it was very late at night. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Experiencia fantástica: We’ve been to VEG Miami three times recently with our dog, and each visit came during a stressful moment when we needed help fast. Every time, the team delivered. Our first visit was an emergency, and we saw Dr. Patel. I was concerned about putting too much stress on my dog during the trip, so we started with a basic diagnostic and went home with medication. When she was still clearly in pain several hours later, we brought her back. On the second visit, Dr. Terra was outstanding. She ordered X-rays, adjusted my dog’s medications to something stronger, diagnosed her with IVDD, and took the time to explain what that meant in a clear, calm way. She genuinely put my mind — and my wife’s — at ease. A few days later, we had a follow-up scheduled with our primary vet, but their office couldn’t find our appointment even though we had an email confirmation. Because we needed to make sure everything was OK, update the primary vet, and get a prescription refill, we returned to VEG Miami again. Dr. Emond and the staff were incredibly helpful and refilled our dog’s prescription with enough medication to serve as a backup until we can get in with another primary vet. Three visits, three times VEG Miami came through for us when we needed it most. Compassionate, professional care from the doctors and staff, and we never felt rushed or dismissed. I’m truly grateful, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend VEG Miami to anyone dealing with a pet emergency.

Dr. Terra was exceptional — so thorough and attentive that she took the time to do an ultrasound, which revealed a large mass on our dog Elsie’s spleen. If she hadn’t checked, we never would have known. We truly believe we owe her Elsie’s life and quality of life. Every doctor and staff member we encountered that night was compassionate, calm, and outstanding. The care, warmth, and genuine love are felt the moment you walk in. Forever grateful.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the greatest place on Earth in case you ever need to take your "furry baby" in case of an emergency, we saw how they treated a 2 week kitten with so much care and love, keeping him warm at all time, another large Doberman with an injured leg, a Pitbull (adorable) who'd swallowed /eaten the couch, treated as kindly as it was their own. this team is fabulous, caring and gives us parents tranquility to be there for our pets. Even though I would rather not need to go again, this is where I will go and recommend anyone to go. LOVE VEG!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot rave more about the entire staff at VEG. Every single person is so caring, attentive and sympathetic, as well as knowledgeable, professional and experienced. Run, don’t walk, to their Edgewater location if you and your fur baby have an emergency.

Experiencia negativa: While this place may be good for dogs this place is terrible for exotic animals, my parrot had came in lethargic where they had said it was purely due to her needing to lay an egg. Stayed overnight, and was discharged the next day with them advising us that it is not necessary for her to be seen at the avian vet because she had already laid the egg, no medicine/vitamins were prescribed although I had asked if it was needed, was advised that a second x-ray wasn't necessary since she had already passed the egg and it wasn’t necessary to take her to the avian vet that he recommended against the xray for us to "save money" . She was still lethargic when discharging her and I have photos as proof. I had asked if she had attempted to bite anyone since she does not like strangers and they had told me that “she hadn’t handled her” She passed shortly after being discharged, I was driving her to said avian vet after noticing labored quick breathing and no eating although they had said she was eating while there, she had sadly passed on the way there (two hours after being discharged). We were then told by the VEG manager the same day we came back with her dead body, that they were going to refund us the entire amount, a week had passed since but we haven't received a confirmation email which I had to call them to follow up to which they said they have not started processed it. In my opinion this could have all been prevented if they had advised us that they weren't comfortable/ knowledgeable dealing with an exotic animal, or had done an immediate transfer to an avian vet although on your companies site it’s noted that you do preform care on exotic animals/parrots. Had a nurse or vet technician tell me that “it just happens”. It has been a while since this event, and it keeps pestering me. If you care about your parrot don’t take them here unless you want them cremated.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog consumed too much sand playing ball at the beach that by night fall she was crying in pain. It was so heartbreaking! We made a call and immediately went into VEG on Christmas around 11pm! We walked in straight away and were seen probably within 30 minutes. Being in the facility with all the action made us appreciate the care and attention of the staff, before they even saw our dog, and it gave us full confidence that our pup was in good hands. It's a great model. We witnessed a couple surgeries on dogs of various sizes , a cat being monitored closely and another dog in an oxygen chamber. It was pretty nifty (albeit sad). Our dog ended up getting blood work, X-rays and an IV with special supplements and anesthesia for treatment. She spent the night there and when we came the next day, they even let us stay in a separate room with her. A little over 24 hours she was released and back to health. The staff fed her and took her on walks overnight. You can tell they all really, truly care- and love animals. Oh-and they have complimentary water, coffee, tea and chips--they definitely sustained us that day. Also, importantly--they were all uniformly mindful of informing us of payment, giving us options in keeping the balance to a minimum while making recommendations as well. They were incredibly generous with their time and effort. Many thanks to the staff, especially Dr Nicole Gasparin. God bless them for their hard work and commitment.

Experiencia negativa: From my point of view, this is a place where profit is the only thing that matters. It has nothing to do with humanity, and even less with love for animals or vocation. I went there with my little cat, and without even doing a hematology test, they gave multiple diagnoses. They talked to me about many tests and said it could cost approximately $10,000 if he were hospitalized for 3 or 4 days, and then, seeing his pain and desperation, they said it would be $10,000 for just 24 hours. He was in a delicate condition and they did not support me at all because everything was about money. This place is for people with money who can be manipulated through their pain and squeezed for cash. I took my kitten with me and he died. All they care about is money; they don’t talk about helping first and then arranging a payment plan—they simply suggest putting them to sleep. That is what this place is like. They have no feelings and even less ethics. (I wouldn’t even leave one star, but it’s mandatory to be able to post a comment.)

Dr. Obringer was very transparent about my options for my cat Oscar, and gave me both worst case and best case scenarios. She walked me through the entire care process, and even checked back in after he was home. Dr. Gonzales was also fantastic, and super accommodating. The entire team was so sweet and caring during such a stressful time for me and my pet.

Experiencia negativa: During one of the most stressful and emotional moments with our boy, Dr. Sarah displayed an alarming lack of compassion. Instead of focusing on his needs, she chose to say, “This is a hospital and this care isn’t free,” and for good measure added, “If we don’t receive payment, we can’t continue with treatment.” Hearing that while hopelessly devastated was completely unnecessary. Everyone understands that emergency veterinary care comes with costs — especially here, where the prices are nothing short of astronomical, but choosing to deliver the message in such a condescending and abrupt tone was a foolish and completely tone-deaf way to handle the situation. Clear communication matters, but so does basic empathy and respect — both of which were lacking. When your pet is vulnerable, the priority should be their well-being — not lecturing clients about money in the middle of a crisis.

I would recommend him, ideally no emergency visits are needed but if so he’d be the one to go to. He cares for the animals and knows how to talk to the people to allow them to understand the medical lingo. Along with genuine recommendations of what he thinks is best. Experiencia negativa: They don’t recommend medically necessary procedures based on the consultation. They suggest their full menu and only present reasonable options when you show resistance to paying. They pitched me a $2K plan and came back with a $500 plan that included probiotics (as if that would be an immediate need at the ER). It felt very sales-y and predatory. They will try to milk you out of every dollar you have. Plus, you’d think they would have better bedside manner given that people are coming to them in distress but I didn’t experience that.

We’ve been to world class clinics and hospitals in New York and we were truly blown away by the care we received at VEG - we got medications and care protocol that we had never gotten anywhere else. Also thank you Ashley walk us through the process from intake to discharge kept her composure and smiled throughout, even though they were dealing with some critical cases while we were there. Experiencia positiva: am writing to formally share very negative feedback regarding our recent experience at the VEG ER in Miami on Friday, specifically with Dr. Dhrumi Patel. Unfortunately our interaction with her was extremely disappointing and far below the standard we expected from VEG. Throughout the entire appointment she was pushy, dismissive and rude. Her attitude created an uncomfortable and pressured environment while we were already under stress with a sick dog. She insisted on a full multi item $2,300 treatment plan immediately, and when we asked for a step by step approach instead, she became visibly irritated and uncooperative. At no point did she show willingness to collaborate or explain options. She pressured us into exams and tests that felt unnecessary based on the symptoms, and she refused to adjust her approach even when the results suggested a far more conservative plan was appropriate. The lack of compassion and complete disregard for cost sensitivity was shocking. Treating a bill of over $2k as insignificant while dismissing our concerns about necessity was unacceptable. It genuinely felt as if we were being upsold rather than cared for. It is unfortunate because the hospital has an amazing reputation and every other staff member we encountered was kind, caring and supportive. However, this encounter severely damaged our trust. We want to be very clear that we will never see her again. We hope this is taken seriously, as no pet owner should be pressured, disrespected or made to feel ignored in a moment like that. Based on our experience, this was a zero out of ten interaction and it left us deeply disappointed.

The great staff here got him xrayed and treated with endoscopy the same day. The whole time we were treated with compassion and kindness. So glad that my dog is all better now because I thought I was going to lose him.

As soon as I arrived with my dog, Doctor Patel made contact with me to inquire on my dog's health issue. she was very cordial and friendly. She saw my dog was estable and advised me that at it was going to be a while longer until my dog gets see by the vet die to them having two critical cases, I really appreciated the information so I knew what to expect. A nurse named Sandra came after and started the registration process and taking my dog vital signs, she was very kind and caring with my dog, and professional with us. We waited for long time so be prepared to wait, this is vet emergency hospital, but it was worth it, everyone were very caring, they certainly love what they do for furry babies. Experiencia negativa: I had taken my baby here because there was an emergency. The guy watched me watch my girl struggle as he kept telling me the bill would be higher and higher. Warning they don't have service here so if you bring your pet in and need to use your phone to procure funds, receive emotional support or a second opinion, you have to go outside. I went outside to ask someone for the money then was told it was higher again and had to go outside to ask again and left her inside the oxygen chamber all alone and scared. I came in and said I had the funds and suddenly he said he did not want to watch her overnight because he didn't think it was worth it and recommended putting her down was MY best option then the next day when I brought her body back and I told him my regrets and he said "well if you had the money" and I said "well I did have the money.. I came in and told you it was given to me by the person I was living with" and he said "Yeah well I just really didn't like that idea." while I was holding her. That's impossible to hear like that in that situation. I'll never forgive myself for not having a better vet to turn to and plan of action around when this happens with a trusted vet.

Dr. B was super friendly, helpful, professional, and had expert knowledge in explaining what happened to my beloved cat. ‍⬛ They treated her promptly and I am now relieved to know she will be on her way to healing ❤️‍ soon. The prices are a wee bit high but that is to be expected at an ER animal hospital. It is worth it to save our furry friends

It was after hours so I brought her to VEG to be scanned and they were so helpful in helping me reunite the dog with her the owner! But it’s not the fact that they did, or even that they are the absolute best at doing it, that makes this place truly special. If you have never brought your pet here, you will never know what true professionalism, compassion, expertise, and 100% transparent service truly are in a veterinary experience. I arrived at 2:00PM with a critical emergency. Jose was immediately dedicated to assist our cat and this man, a true hero, NEVER left his side until 1:00AM when the surgery was over and our cat was stable and recovering. I know this because we were with our cat the whole time too. The VEG has nothing to hide. You see everything they do, where they do it, how they all work together to get it done, and they let you see it all without ever requiring you to leave your pet’s side (except in the sterilized OR, of course). The only individuals are the patients. Everyone else is a direct extension of each other and they all work lockstep, with incredible cohesion. The closest person to where help is needed is always the first person to assist and you see it all up close and in real time. Over the course of 11 hours, we saw life, we saw death, we saw many cases in between. Each one different from the other, but the response was always the same: a symphony of empathy and expertise, led by Dr. Gonzalez, where everyone knew exactly where they needed to be, attacking the problem systematically with incredible precision and cooperation. Every single pet that we saw got the best care and emergency attention than we ever imagined actually occurred behind the countless closed doors we always had to wait behind while our past pets lived and died. It turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in such an unfortunate situation. The staff was incredibly caring and attentive, you can really tell how much they love what they do. I also love the open-concept setup, where you can see how they treat and care for the animals. T was my tech and made both me and my fur baby feel so comfortable and reassured. It truly means a lot to know my dog was in such good hands.

My senior dog has a complicated medical history, so I was nervous about going somewhere new and unsure if the doctors would understand her situation. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly warm, professional, and compassionate. My dog was seen right away, which brought huge relief. The open-floor setup was different from what I expected, but once I saw how efficiently the team worked and how I could stay with my dog the entire time I really appreciated it. The technicians were amazing: gentle, patient, and so kind in both how they cared for her and how they comforted me. Dr. Terra was phenomenal. She listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and explained everything clearly. Her calm, caring presence helped turn a scary situation into one where I felt supported and reassured. I’m deeply grateful for the level of care and compassion everyone showed. VEG truly exceeded my expectations, and I now recommend them to every pet owner I know. ❤️

The team was kind, communicative, and made us feel supported and cared for throughout. We appreciated being able to stay with her the whole time and be involved in her care. Experiencia negativa: They tried to scam my boyfriend out of thousands of dollars for a small surgery. We brought our dog in to drain a blood vessel in his ear.. and they tried to charge him 4500 dollars. We went to a different place down the street and they charged us 700 for the full surgery. They add extra fees and duplicate services at an outrageous price to jack up the total. They also put a miscellaneous fee for 300 dollars. We will never come back. On another occasion they tried to charge him 1400 dollars for an Iv and then later dropped the price to 700. Make sure you ask what the extra charges are for cause they will try to take advantage of you.

The location is central to any area one is coming from in Miami, the well equipped facility and the staff, the staff was what made this hospital an unforgettable experience when everyone was involved and treated my dog as if he was my mother having a stroke; my worries were there but I felt confident my dog was in all of the right hands. I would list each and every single one of them, but among all it was Dr. Natassjia Ragbeer who was calm, attentive, gracious and an expert at her craft. Gina was also so sweet and so knowledgeable doing the ultrasound and explaining the findings. Jose assisted us through the whole process as well.

The clinic is large and well-staffed, which gave us confidence right away. We came in with concerns about a possible prolapse, but after the examination the doctor confirmed it was a tumor. They saw us immediately without any waiting, explained the findings, and kindly recommended where we should go next for further treatment. What really impressed me was that they didn’t charge us for the consultation — it was unexpected and very much appreciated. Thank you to the whole team for your care and support ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: HIGHLY RECOMMEND! There are several individuals who contributed to Halo’s care and I am forever grateful for the team of doctors and nurses. Dr. Zackular immediately obtained Halo’s history and came up with a game plan while communicating thoroughly with me. The team of nurses were attentive and constantly checked in with me while diagnostics were pending. Jackie E. And Danijela were the primary nurses during Halo’s stay. Their level of knowledge, attentiveness, and efficiency was outstanding. Dr. Alvarez, Dr. Gonzalez, and Dr. Klipin were also part of Halo’s care and provided detailed updates post-op. The team effort with all doctors and nurses in this facility is unmatched. She’s already back to her normal self 2 days after surgery. Thank you for saving Halo from a life threatening emergency.

Experiencia positiva: We took our dog in due to vomiting and extreme lethargy. At first I was told they’d run some bloodwork to make sure everything was fine, as well as a sonogram and x rays but upon being quoted $2k+ I asked for only sonogram. They told me my dog’s tests came back fine and that it was likely gastritis. The next day his health continued to decline and we took him in again, upon which they once again did another sonogram, as well as x-rays. Our dog ended up having severe pneumonia and was treated with oxygen and medication. After spending most of the night at the vet they told us to leave him in to get more oxygen. At home we received a call that they had found a “possible hernia” in his x rays, and the doctor made it a point to say that she would contact another hospital so that he could be transferred immediately and they could proceed with surgery. This was a red flag for me, as my dog was being treated for severe pneumonia, and the last thing he needed was surgery for a “possible hernia”. I had to tell the doctor multiple times my focus was to get our dog better from his pneumonia and we’d research his hernia later on but this seemed like an instant money grab with how persistent she was. There was also a miscommunication on how much his treatment would cost, and we ended up being told we owed more than was originally quoted. After $7k+ in charges we took our dog home. I appreciate the assistance provided to us by the nurses and two of the doctors that treated our dog but I was left with a distrust of how things were handled in regard to his diagnostics. We asked for two different opinions from different external vets about the “hernia” on the X rays and both said they didn’t find anything. Additionally one vet told us even if he had a hernia, it was not life threatening and this would not need immediate care, which is what the VEG doctor made it seem like. If you read this far, I suggest to make sure you advocate for your pet when diagnosed by the vets and ask for second opinions if possible, if we hadn’t our dog would’ve had a surgery for absolutely no reason.

Experiencia fantástica: Our cat, Matilda was in a pretty bad shape, after days not eating, going to toilet... So today I was desperate and were looking for help. I searched online for something near, open Sunday at 7 am and affordable (what is the hardest, especially our current economy) I decided to try VEG, as I saw nice reviews! We arrived, and were seen by the team pretty fast. After just fast evaluation, - our cat clearly in pain - we discussed our best options, what she needs and how can I afford it. They worked fast, from finances to testing, made sure my grandchild (she is technically my daughter's cat ) feels better fast. Unfortunately Dr Gonzalez sharp eyes find something not good (we weren't looking for) on her X-ray. She further tested it and explained all what to expect in her (hopeful, fully) recovery... She was very efficient, made sure look into everything... They also guided me to find a vet office to be able to follow up, when Matilda (praying) get well again. They had all tests, labs, X-ray, ultrasound etc. in house, as well medicine to treat the babies I highly recommend the place, and if I can give more then 5 stars I would!!! I apologize not remembering all of their names, I was an emotional wreck... I know nurse Taylor was our main help, but all of the other nurses, technicians we interacted with: Thank you!! Matilda feels much better, but the next 48 hours is still crucial... Send her "stay strong" thoughts ❤️

Being a nervous dog mom and in healthcare it’s always super scary to trust to find the best place for your pets when they’re sick. I was welcomed quickly and put in a room. The whole process ran smoothly. The techs were great and friendly. The doctor I saw Dr Alexa Gonzalez was great as well. Super patient and understanding with me. You could tell she cared and made sure to hit all aspects of my dogs care in her care plan, but was also flexible in speaking with me about what needed to be right away vs if things didn’t improve which i respect. Experiencia fantástica: I have no words for how stellar and compassionate the ENTIRE staff at VEG are. For an animal ER, it was incredibly calm, and I felt reassured we were going to get the quality care needed. I took my senior cat Bandit in as she was showing signs of pleural effusion. The vet recommended to take her to an ER, and not only were the ones recommended over an hour away, but also didn’t have the best reviews. I’ve had multiple recommendations to come here, so I called early to see if we could bring her in for the treatment, and sent over her recent medical records. As soon as I pulled up, they were able to get her into an oxygen cage to get respiratory relief while we waited for the doctor. Although the wait was a little longer than usual, she was comfortable the whole time with staff being attentive, and they actually let you stay with your pet the entire time. The team was quickly able to stabilize her, and drained almost 85 ccs of fluid from her lungs, had I waited any longer she might not be here with us. They were able to conclude she is showing signs of CHF, so they made sure to send me home with meds and even followed up frequently to check up and offer referral to a specialist. I am forever grearful to Dr. O, Dr. Emond, Dr. Zackular, and a specially shout out to Gaby for being so careful with my spicy girl. Thank you so much for your amazing care During a time of emotional distress, they gave me comfort and also didn’t try to recommend treatments that weren’t needed. Usually vets love to money grab, but they were able to provide options to meet your needs. Not saying it wasn’t a pretty penny because any ER is going to incur higher costs, but worth every cent to make sure my baby was ok

Experiencia fantástica: We are beyond grateful to this animal hospital. Every single staff member was so pleasant and kind. We have a reactive big dog and they were so accommodating to his needs and keeping him calm. Dealing with such a stressful situation while being so worried for our loved pet and feeling so welcomed and well taken care of is something I don’t take for granted. Thank you to all the staff and special thanks to Jose. I also have to mention that pricing was really competitive given that it’s an emergency vet.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my frenchie in as an emergency visit since he swallowed a squeaker from one of his toys. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped treat him right away and sent us pictures of him cuddling with one of the staff members over night which made me feel very happy knowing he wasn’t alone. I can’t express enough gratitude for everyone that helped us. Dr. Terra and the team, thank you so much!!

Experiencia negativa: My cat had constipation. When we came in, we were immediately charged $1,500 just for tests. After the results, they decided to do an enema. She ended up staying there for about 30 hours, during which they performed six enemas. She wasn’t eating or drinking and became completely exhausted. She still didn’t go to the bathroom. Then, they suggested putting her under anesthesia and doing surgery, but by that time, we had already run out of money — the bill had reached $5,000. I had no choice but to take her home. She slept almost 48 hours, and I honestly thought she would die. But eventually, she went to the bathroom on her own! I don’t blame the doctors personally — I believe they’re forced by the system to drag out the process and charge as much as possible. PS: Initially, I gave a rating of 3, but after reading your reply I reconsidered and changed it to 1
