A Country Veterinary Clinic: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Ripp and I absolutely LOVE A Country Vet! If I have questions or concerns, you are ALWAYS there and you actually love our fur babies and they sense it! Thank you for your excellent care of my boy!
Experiencia negativa: We are new to the area and were on the search for a new vet. I left extra early from work to come for our first visit with our animals and unfortunately there was a major accident on HWY 17. I called the vet out of a courtesy to inform them my GPS was reading 10 minutes past my scheduled time. Their policy is 10 minutes of lateness being the maximum they can allow as they have a schedule which makes sense. However the vet directly made the call to instead be okay with us being at the limit, cancel and ask for a rescheduling after I had planned everything. You all must have a large clientele already to lose a recurring customer and business so making the call to say no to the new business being right at your cutoff time is interesting. I hope your clients are taken care of well as you’ve lost at least one persons business and have a 1 star review because being right at the limit of your late window wasn’t worth it for y’all. Thanks
Experiencia fantástica: This is a very nice vet. And very good receptionist. I love this place. They did a excellent job on cottons mails
Thank you for your thoughtful review, Ruth! Your kind words are truly appreciated.
Experiencia fantástica: First time visiting and was able to make an appointment via website during the week for my adopted kitty’s prescription. Doc Al and his assistant were super friendly, the staff handled the busy office pretty well (there were tons of doggy appts!) and I loved that there was the choice to either have the dr write me a script or pickup the meds at the pharmacy 2 doors down. Prices were very fair and I have other pets so totally psyched to have a vet in town that listens to the pet owner and doesn’t try to add on extra costs and services that I didn’t need.
Experiencia negativa: I have not been having the best customer service experience with this vet clinic. I arrive a few minutes early to appointments and I still sit and wait for nearly an hour to be seen. They kept messing up the tests needed for one of my cats and so I had to keep driving back over there for the proper test, and then I would arrive and they wouldn’t know which test needed to be done. They make it absolutely impossible to order any prescriptions through Chewy- they do not ship their prescriptions, and bc my family only has one car I can’t be driving to them all the time to pick up scripts. I need them delivered. They make it such a hassle and honestly I’m getting to the point where it’s not even worth it to bring my pets here anymore. Let me just get the scripts shipped to me? Seems so ableist to make me pickup paper scripts instead of y’all just faxing them like every other vet I’ve ever used.
Experiencia fantástica: I recently had to bring my grandmothers cat “sissy” in and say goodbye for the final time. As difficult as this was for my family and myself, I’m incredibly grateful I came here. This office is filled with some of the most kind and compassionate individuals within the Wilmington area. They handled her with the most ease and care possible as well as provide me with as much time as I needed. These are genuinely good and empathetic people. I just received the sympathy card from you guys and thank you so much for all the care♥️
Experiencia negativa: Untrustworthy individuals at this place, I had to put my dog down. When I was in the room having him euthanized I had some rings on and took them off when I washed my hands and face from handling my dog and I took them off and set them by the sink forgetting to place them back on in the midst of emotional distress. I bring him home in a body bag and when I get home I realize that I had forgotten them, this was maybe 30 min after leaving. I call back and they say they've cleaned the room but did not find the rings. I went back up there to look myself. These are not very big rooms and my rings were there clear as day on the counter. Needless to say one of the techs that cleaned the room stole my rings. Manager didnt do shit, she basically just said sucks to suck. Feels great to lose a loved one and also get robed by the people that killed him.
Experiencia fantástica: We have been going to A Country Vet for nearly a decade, and we have been met with nothing but patience and kindness. They have performed neuters, dental cleaning, blood work, urine analyses and more on my dogs and all with top professionalism. We have always had a great experience when speaking with the vet or techs. They take the time to call, listen, and answer questions/eliminate worry. We were even referred by them to a surgeon who helped my Maltipoo have breast cancer tumors removed. I highly recommend.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Courtnie! We truly appreciate your feedback and are delighted that you and your dogs are satisfied with our service.
Experiencia fantástica: Just wanted to say how much I appreciate this office. We had our cat taken to the rainbow bridge this past week and they made the process as easy as possible. Not only were they so affordable, they were so caring and informative and the Vet and the techs were wonderful. I felt like I made the best decision bringing him here. I picked his ashes up today and the cremation company they used went above and beyond. Thank You for making such a hard time a little bit better to handle ❤️
Experiencia negativa: Extremely terrible service, I booked an appointment for my Chocolate Lab who has an ear infection, and was called roughly 24 hours prior to the appointment to be told “the vet we have for your appointment won’t see dogs of her weight” they wouldn’t give an appointment for the same day saying they were all filled up and the vets couldn’t switch around to fulfill the original time or any other time that day, they told me the next available time was 3 days later. Very unapologetic about the situation. Susan from the office provided the terrible service on the phone. Also despite the name, this is a corporate vet not a country family vet. I wouldn’t have an issue if upon scheduling I was quickly called and informed of the mix up, and I called to double check what records I would need to bring for the appointment and it was never mentioned to be an issue during that initial call with my appointment time. When I booked the appointment I listed the dog breed as well. I can’t speak to what they are like treating animals, but the office staff who handles scheduling and appointments needs replaced.
Experiencia fantástica: This vet is great. My dog is so comfortable in this office she will literally just lay down on the floor during her exam, even after getting shots or nail trims. They've always taken great care of us!
Experiencia negativa: I watched lady man handle her dog in the parking lot the lady was aggressive in general . The dog look terrified of the woman . She tried to cone in and act like the dog was aggressive so she couldn't bring the dog in . The receptionist may have not not noticed my dog was in my car I had to bring him along for my cats appointment the apartment complex was fixing my heat. If this vet cares no more about animals then this that is sad she was there for a 1:15 pm appointment. Maybe someone can look into this i have never seen that in a vet in my 20 years.
Experiencia fantástica: I never feel rushed and everyone always " truly cares" which isn't always the norm for past vets I have been to. Great service!
Experiencia fantástica: I’m from New England and my past vet experiences were often long waits with anxious dogs. We brought our new pup Boozer in yesterday and it was such a great experience. Even though they were busy everything ran smoothly with minimal waiting. The staff was kind organized and thorough and the vet was efficient and gave clear thoughtful guidance on vaccines and care. Pricing was explained sincerely and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable everything was. We left feeling really happy and confident in our care.
Experiencia fantástica: I like this office because you can drop in without an appointment for several services. The staff is friendly too!
Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful place and always enjoy taking my animals.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr Silos is awesome. So kind and explained things very well.
Experiencia positiva: Just not the same since going corporate. The staff are still kind and the vets are professional and thorough but we decided to leave after what we felt was an uncaring decision made by higher management.
Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been bringing my pets to Country Vet since 2011. The staff is always friendly, the pricing is fair, and the clinical quality of care is excellent.
Experiencia fantástica: Extremely caring staff. Affordable quality pet care. I highly recommend.
Experiencia fantástica: Very happy with the care and service at The Country Vet Clinic. I would definitely recommend them.
Thank you for your feedback and recommendation! We love what we do and are happy to serve you and your pet!
Experiencia fantástica: Country vet is the best! Dr.gray is a very nice person and vet! Thank you!
Experiencia fantástica: I always appreciate the doctors and staff's friendly attitudes. It is a nice environment to bring a nervous pet into. Other vets can feel super uptight and even judgmental just for asking questions about their plans for your pet. They're knowledge, kind, and realistic. They are also very fair on prices. Highly recommend
Experiencia negativa: Took a stray cat that showed up for exam for mouth issues. Pd 240.00 for rabies shot and exam was told teeth cleaning was needed and would be 230.00 and had to pay 100.00 deposit and wld receive estimate the same day incase anything else needed while cleaning was being done. Had to call 3 times for estimate and received 3 days b4 procedure was scheduled with notes that if decision was made to cancel appt the appt had to be canceled 7 days prior to get refund for deposit. estimate started out more than dbl amount quoted and ended at over 8 times the quoted amount. When we called and questioned the quote the person that answered the phone sd she didnt even know where the price quoted came from because it not the correct cost that a cleaning starts at. So not only do they lie they make you pay a non refundable deposit then wait to send paperwork after the cutoff date to get deposit back. I would not recommend this place if it were the last place on the planet. Should have negative stars so true ratings could be given. -5 Do not trust these people with your animals or your money.
Experiencia negativa: This crowd has fallen down since Dr. Wilson left the corporate bs . Wouldn't even see my 7 pound dog when it broke her foot Wouldn't even look at her took her to WILMINGTON animal on Gordon rd. If you do take your animal here ask for Dr. Sylus he is a good old school vet. If you have a emergency during day even near closing time WILMINGTON animal health is your best Ogden area choice. But we still take our dog here to see Dr. Sylus due his experience.
Experiencia negativa: Our dog had a sudden flea problem, and we were looking for advice and assistance from an A Country doctor. No doctor at A Country called us, and in fact we know the chief doctor refused to call us. We’ve had to apply multiple and different treatments to our dog, and we’re looking for guidance to 1) keep him safe (not poisoned) and 2) resolve the problem. A Country’s doctors, led by its chief doctor, provided exactly ZERO help and showed exactly ZERO concern. This vet is NOT who you want taking care of your loved 4-legged family members. PS I do want to say thank you to the office staff person who tried to get help for us. I can only imagine her frustration.
Experiencia positiva: Disappointed in the sales style service and high prices that have taken over here! When I started here about 4-5 years ago it was to avoid being sold unnecessary diagnostic tests or to pay marked up prices for flea prevention meds etc. Well that has changed AND the office is old and country like and a huge pot hole in the parking lot- which should mean country prices not some of the highest in town like the newer places. The place is packed and everyone seems to be checking out with bills in the hundreds of dollars. Very disappointing experience I no longer recommend
Experiencia fantástica: I love A Country Vet! I adopted my first puppy in February, and the staff has been so amazing that I’m happy I chose to bring my pup here. As a new and young dog owner, they’ve done such a good job at keeping me informed, up to date and instructive on what to do next so I can keep him on track. Linguine is crazy, but they’ve always handled and treated him very well, and he’s always happy to see the staff! We usually see Dr. Silos and he’s been amazing, especially with all of my questions! Thank you guys for your help!
Thank you for the positive review and we love Linguine!
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent service today !!! 100% highly recommended and prices cant be beat in and out 1 hour ..when comes to fur babies this is the place you want to go
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to serve you and your pets.
Experiencia fantástica: Friendly, fast service. I didn't have a appointment. I brought my dog in for vaccines. Good experience.
Thank you, Brenda, for your thoughtful feedback and for sharing your experience. We're truly glad to know that you and your dog felt well cared for during your visit. It will be our pleasure to welcome you back soon!
Experiencia negativa: There a bad place to go! I dont advise this place and will never take my dog back here. My dog has a broken hip and is a pitbull as soon as i got in there they went to the back had a convo and came back and said we cant help u and told me to go somewhere else. DONT ADVISE TO ANYONE
Thank you for your feedback. We will look into this situation further.
Experiencia fantástica: Loved the Dr. and nurse they were patient and answered all my silly questions. Our pup Max has been going to see them since he was a tiny rescue, he's now a health happy 13lb snuggle bug! Love a Country Veterinary clinic
Kelley, we're so glad to hear that you and Max had a great visit with us. And no question is silly! Looking forward to seeing yall soon!
Experiencia fantástica: We first interacted with A Country Veterinarian early last year when one of the feral cats that we decided to adopt began exhibiting some very concerning symptoms causing her hind legs to suddenly become paralyzed. Dr. Silos was extremely concerned and compassionate when examining our precious furbaby girl. He ordered some testing and thoroughly discussed our options after determining the likely cause of her ailment. We took our girl home and spent what time together that we had left with her. Several days later, we made the difficult decision to let her go peacefully. Dr. Silos and his assistant were by our side through the entire process, offering as much comfort as possible to each of us. Everything was handled with love, dignity, and very admirable & professional care. Recently, I took our other furbabies to the office for their wellness visits and vaccine updates. Again, the experience with Margie (Scheduling Receptionist), the front desk personnel, Dr. Snider and her assistant, Cassidy, was beyond reproach! From start to finish, the visit was exceptional. Thank you ALL for all you do. Keep up the good work! ❤️
We sincerely appreciate you sharing your heartfelt experience with us, Dawn. Your kind words mean a lot, and we are grateful for the trust you've shown in our team. Thank you for your continued support.
Experiencia fantástica: I had Dr. Al and he is great! He was awesome with Bailey and answered any questions I had.
Thank you so much, Lanie, for sharing your thoughtful feedback! We're truly glad to hear that Dr. Al provided attentive care for Bailey and took the time to address all your questions.
Experiencia fantástica: Love everyone there, they are great with all of my animals. Friendly and caring, always clean!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Kelly! We’re delighted to hear that you and your animals have had such positive experiences with us.
Experiencia fantástica: I made a last-minute appointment to get my dog in and the vet came in and listened to all my concerns rather than throwing a band-aid on an ongoing problem. They were reasonably priced, and this experience has made me feel comfortable choosing them as my full time vet for both my dogs.
Carrington, we're absolutely delighted to hear about your wonderful experience with our vet services! Your feedback is truly appreciated, and we're excited to continue providing top-notch care for your dogs.
Experiencia fantástica: Very kind we had to take our 19 year old Chihuahua there to be put down. They were very nice to us on a very difficult day!
Lori, your thoughtful words truly warm our hearts. We recognize the challenges you faced and are grateful we could offer solace. Your trust is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday was my first time here. I will be back. Receptionist and vet were so friendly and professional, I didn’t feel rushed and all of my questions were answered. Pricing is also very good!
Brooke, we are genuinely touched to learn about your wonderful experience with our team! Our main goal is to always offer compassionate and helpful service, and we are deeply grateful to have made a positive impact on you.
Experiencia fantástica: The hospital was super busy, but they got my Yoshi in as soon as possible and took good care of him. He was in good hands.
Thank you, Ottie, for the glowing 5-star review! We are delighted to know that despite the hustle and bustle, we were able to offer Yoshi swift and top-notch care. Your feedback means the world to us!
Experiencia negativa: ONE HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLAR “LATE” FEE?!?! AVOID. Took forever to to corral several dogs to take them to this vet and because of the chaos was 15 minutes late. Just 15 minutes. Even called ahead to say I would be a bit late. They cancelled the appointment, apparently they have a 10 min late policy. But why charge a $120 no show?! Not a late fee, a no show. But I showed!! Terrible customer service. Very unhappy about the price and policy. Going somewhere else. They obviously don’t care about people. I can’t believe it!
Experiencia fantástica: Very kind staff, didn’t wait long, vet was very kind to my new puppy and I.
Thank you for the amazing review, Stephanie! We truly appreciate your loyalty and we're so glad to hear that you and your new puppy enjoyed your time with our devoted team. We can't wait to welcome you back again soon.
Experiencia negativa: My experience with this Veterinary clinic has been completely disappointing. My 12-year-old dog has been on a medication trial to determine if she has diabetes insipidus. To start this process off, the clinic mishandled my dog's bloodwork by not sending it to the lab initially, requiring a redraw. This entire process has taken almost two months. We have had to do the trial twice - There were multiple instances of miscommunication with the clinic staff. I received incorrect instructions from the staff members (the vet, receptionists and assistants). The instructions contradicted each other, adding confusion. I am leaving here with zero results. The first trial, half of the information was not recorded in her records and incorrect instructions were given to me. The second trial I was told specific instructions by the Vet which I went by – then I was told other instructions by a receptionist which were completely different instructions. THEN I was told by a veterinary assistant, instructions that did not match the vet’s or the receptionist. I have called MULTIPLE times to receive a call from Dr. Kalwa and have only talked to him once which was on April 14th. I went to the clinic on 5/6/2025 and was told that he would give me a call the following morning first thing. I called the clinic at 10 am on 5/7 and the receptionist told me that he was a couple of calls behind but that he does have plans to call me that day. I never received a call. My dog’s energy levels drastically improved while being on the medication trial. Her frequent drinking of water and urination was back to normal. Now that she is not on the medication, she is back to drinking a lot of water and is urinating more frequently. This clinic has not had my dog’s best interest AT ALL. Minus the headache this has caused, I only wanted to see my dog feel better and it is an absolute disgrace that we are being forced elsewhere only to have the trial performed again – prolonging the issue when it could’ve been easily resolved. I DO NOT recommend this clinic to ANYONE. The vet that my dog was “being seen by” is the Chief of Staff – having a title such as that is very concerning with the lack of help we received.
Ms. Reavis,
Your complaint has been seen and reviewed by the medical team at A Country Veterinary Clinic. After reviewing the medical history we have found that multiple instances occurred during the diagnostic testing of your pet that you failed to adhere to directions and instructions given to you by the veterinary team. Due to the neglect and refusal of you to adhere to instructions, diagnostic testing could not be fully performed by the veterinary team. Unfortunately, without these diagnostics your pet was left undiagnosed due to your refusal of adherence to instructions.

Experiencia negativa: Updated Review 05/07/25 What a ridiculous answer and dishonesty! They say that they have no records??? Than their record keeping is a complete mess as well. I have two papers in my hand showing the original rabies vaccination and the one illegally done a couple of weeks later that was done without consent, just to charge extra money. My wife even told them that and they disregarded her and did it without consent. I am sure the law doesn’t say to make fraudulent vaccination twice now without getting consent! I will report this place! It’s very concerning that they do this! On top of that it is harmful to vaccinate a small kitten twice! They are lucky I don’t sue them for malpractice! Even zero stars are too many! This place should not be able to operate the way it does. Even adopt an angel advised me against going there! The previous owners were honest! These new owners are shady as hell! Original review posted roughly May 1st 2025 My wife brought our little cat for a FVRCP vaccination and without telling her they also gave our cat a rabies vaccination, even though the cat was already vaccinated for rabies at this same location roughly two and half/ three weeks ago! That is terrible to do that without consent! Terrible way for up-charge a loyal client! I heard A country Vet changed ownership, i guess everything is going downhill now! Very dishonest business! Would definitely NOT recommend this place!
We apologize for any miscommunication on our part. We have no record of your kitten having a rabies vaccination prior to your recent visit and we are required by law to vaccinate any pet over 4 months old for rabies. We do not up-charge.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Kalwa and his staff are kind, professional and detailed in there care and explanations of what Lily needed, and what was going on with her that they could help her with .
David, we're delighted to learn about your positive experience with Dr. Kalwa and our team. We are dedicated to offering thorough and expert care to all our patients. Your feedback and 5-star rating are truly appreciated!
Experiencia fantástica: I could not recommend them more highly. They take walk-ins for vaccinations and getting appointments for checkups is not a hassle. The doctor gives time and attention and clearly cares about the pet's well being. And with the prices being so reasonable it doesn't have to be a choice between finances and your pets health. I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders when I found A Country Veterinary Clinic!
Matthew, we appreciate hearing about your experience at our veterinary clinic and we're glad it was positive. It's great to hear that you found our services to be convenient, affordable, and beneficial for your pet's health. Your recommendation is truly valued. Thank you for entrusting us with your pet's care!
Experiencia negativa: First I’d like to say I called the office about 7 times before I actually got an answer to make the appointment for my cat. Second I called multiple times the day of my appointment to let them know I would be a little late but again couldn’t get an answer! The front desk lady was very rude I was 3 minutes late after the 10 minute mark because of traffic and I let her know that and then said I had to pay a $40 no call/no show fee, I told her I called multiple times to try and let them know and she said oh well that’s the lady’s in the back job and said even if they did answer it wouldn’t have mattered! I would never recommend this vet to anyone! If I could give a zero star rating I would!
Hello, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We are committed to providing reliable and efficient service, and we regret that you were unable to reach us by phone. Your feedback regarding our front desk service is valuable to us, and we will use it to enhance our communication and customer support. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Experiencia fantástica: A country vet has always been quick to get my cat Zuzu seen, even same day. Thankful for their speedy care and love they give to my boy!
Katarina, it warms our hearts to learn that you and Zuzu have had positive experiences with us. We deeply value every furry patient that walks through our doors and are dedicated to offering exceptional care. Your kind words and 5-star review mean the world to us. Thank you!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr.K gave us some very important information about our dog Steeler. Unfortunately it was n't good news, but we now know what to expect with his diagnosis. We're just trying to keep him comfortable and not suffering. Thank you
Lori, we are delighted that Dr. K was able to offer you the information you needed about Steeler. It can be tough to receive concerning news about our furry friends. Your trust in us means a lot, especially during such a challenging time. Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your positive experience with us.
Experiencia positiva: Really enjoy a Country Vet however I was late and did call on my way to say I would be. When I arrived they stated there is a $29 late fee and I might not get seen… they would check with the Dr!!! Please tell your client’s this when that make an appt… things do happen during travel out of our control even when we give ourselves time to get there, have some compassion.
Hello Lu Ann, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We apologize for the inconvenience our late policy caused you. Clarity and consistency is important in communication and your feedback will be shared with the team.
Experiencia fantástica: I and my cat and my son’s cat had a WONDERFUL experience at Country Veterinary Clinic!! The staff was very friendly and there was no wait for our walk in rabies shots. The price was extremely reasonable. No up charges here. Thank you!
Elaine, we are delighted to learn that you had a fantastic experience at our Veterinary Clinic. We truly value our warm and helpful team and strive to provide efficient service. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback and giving us a 5-star rating!
Experiencia negativa: 1/16/2025 Important Update and Warning for Fellow Pet Owners I wanted to share an important update regarding my experience with A Country Vet, particularly for those who may be considering their services. After my previous visit, I decided to change vets, opting for a practice that is not owned by investors. At the new veterinary clinic, my dog was thoroughly examined, and it was discovered that he had a large mass in his mouth. A biopsy was performed, and the results revealed that it was a malignant tumor—specifically, an oral melanoma. Had the vet at A Country Vet taken more care, time, and performed a more professional exam, there is a possibility that this condition could have been detected earlier, potentially allowing for more time and treatment options. Unfortunately, oral melanoma is an aggressive cancer. While surgery to remove the tumor was considered, it would have required the removal of my dog’s soft palate, and even then, there was no guarantee that the cancer wouldn’t return. It’s a devastating situation. To those considering A Country Vet, I strongly urge you to carefully evaluate whether this is the right place for your pet’s care. A more thorough examination could have made a significant difference in my dog's prognosis. As a professional in the veterinary field, it is imperative that one takes the time to offer the best care possible. I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale. Be vigilant, be proactive, and choose a veterinary clinic that treats both you and your pet with the respect, care, and attention you both deserve. Previous review I no longer trust this company. I’ve been a client at A Country Vet for over ten years and have always appreciated their care. However, since the clinic was taken over by new management, I've noticed a significant shift in their practices that has left me concerned. During a recent visit, I was disappointed by the quality of care my dog received. Although the vet conducted an exam, I later noticed a health issue—a pink tooth in my dog’s mouth—that had been missed during the checkup. I also found the bill to be unexpectedly high, approaching $300, and felt that the level of care did not justify the cost. It seems that the focus of the clinic has shifted somewhat from patient care to billing, as I was encouraged to visit other facilities rather than receive treatment at A Country Vet. Additionally, the vet, who I understand was recently promoted from an assistant to chief of staff, seemed more focused on using complex terminology than addressing my concerns in a straightforward manner. Despite following up with the clinic, I did not receive a timely response, which further contributed to my concerns about their level of customer service. The waiting room, which used to be consistently busy, has also become noticeably emptier, which seems to reflect a change in the quality of service. As a result, I’ve decided to seek veterinary care elsewhere. I was later contacted by the clinic and offered a follow-up appointment at no charge, which I appreciated. However, I opted not to see the same vet again, as I wanted to explore other options. Unfortunately, some time after I posted this review, I was informed that my upcoming appointment was canceled. While I understand that businesses sometimes have to make operational decisions, I found this to be disheartening and a bit concerning. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements in both their care and customer service. If you're looking for a veterinary practice you can trust and who provides thorough, compassionate care, I recommend researching other options before deciding on A Country Vet.
Experiencia negativa: I no longer recommend this clinic for veterinary services and have since switched providers. I was a long-time client from 2013 to late 2024. Dr. Dan Wilson, the founder (no longer with the practice), was truly exceptional. Dr. Nathaniel Silos, whom we saw once or twice, also provided excellent care. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the rest of the staff. I made the difficult decision to leave for the sake of my remaining dog's health. I share this in hopes that it helps others make an informed decision. If you’ve had good experiences here, I’m glad. In my case, my pet and I are in a better place now.
We are genuinely sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience and are grateful for your feedback. We wish you and your pet the very best as you transition to your new veterinary care.
Experiencia fantástica: I didn't wait long. They were kind, quick and very attentive to my animal. More to come as I bring in each one of our animals.
Mandy, we appreciate your feedback and look forward to seeing all of your furry family.
Experiencia fantástica: They are very professional great staff, passionate & have patience with the animals. I have been with them for almost 7 years. I have a cat tabby tiger mix neutered male he will be 7 this year. And a female spayed pit bull terrier mix brindle mix. She's almost 5. Love our veterinarian office.
Michele, thank you for entrusting us with your pets' health care needs.
Experiencia fantástica: I love this place. They answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had. Definitely would recommend them.
Experiencia fantástica: Delivered a level of service that demonstrates genuine care, combining warmth with efficient support. They prioritize your needs while offering remarkably fair pricing, ensuring you feel valued.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Kalwa is AWESOME. Takes his time, really cares. And is so knowledgeable. His team fantastic also. Kate , Hannah …
Experiencia fantástica: Max had a large lipoma removed from his belly he is a very skittish boy even though we adopted him at six weeks old. The staff treated him with kindness and he is recovering nicely. We still have to have stitches removed so I am hopeful that will go smoothly
Experiencia negativa: Changed drastically since they got bought. I'll never forget how much attitude I got the day I came in to put my Precious down. I had made an appointment, I had spent all day giving her happy times. When I got to the appointment, as I'm waiting on line, someone else walks in and walks right up to the counter and another worker starts checking her in instead of managing the line. As they're laughing and joking with the line skipper, I get up to the front of my line. The person checking me in didn't know how to take the pre-payment for euthanasia, and tried asking the other worker for help. That worker told her to wait, and continued chatting and joking with the line skipper. I waited several minutes, then the line skipper asked to 'say hi to' one of the vets. I spoke up and asked if they could help my worker get my payment first. The chatty worker gave me such a nasty glare, and just stared at me for many beats, as if I was wrong to ask. Then, they weren't even ready, weren't set up. So my dying cat had to sit in the waiting room with barking dogs for over 20 minutes. Then we waited in the room for another half hour, while Precious got scared and stressed out, which made the injections difficult and painful. Instead of the calm and peaceful end I wanted and planned, she died stressed out. Never got an acknowledgement or apology. They couldn't have cared less that they made the last hour of her life so bad for me and her. And now it's the memory of her that springs to mind first for me, not her 18 years of life but the completely unfair disrespectful dismissal and stress we got from the vet. Some moments will live with you forever. I'll never forgive myself, or them, for how she died. Care had been on a free fall for a while though. They'll charge for medicine and then not have it in stock, tell you to pay now and come back for it. But if you do that, they won't know what you're talking about. They'll shout your phone number and address across the room if they forget to verify it when you're at the desk checking in. Trying to get, and maintain a relationship with one vet is difficult, because they can't or won't schedule with the same one, they'll just make an appointment and whoever is on that day will get it. Asking for a specific vet, even for basic stuff like annual visits, gets 'we'll try'. They're riding the established reputation of the name, for now.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Kalwa and the vet tech were very patient and helpful with my dog who is reactive at the vets and they didn’t make me feel bad about it which I very much appreciated. It’s nice to have staff that understand even the sweetest dogs can be reactive in an environment they don’t know. Dr. Kalwa also spent time with me and didn’t make me feel rushed. Thank you!!
Experiencia fantástica: For the most part, appointments are on time and doctors and staff are very friendly. I can always tell that the staff have my pets best interest at heart!
Experiencia negativa: Was charged over $90 for a prescription that I could have had filled at Walgreens for $29. Staff was very rude‼️ They misdiagnosed my dogs illness, failed to get back to me with test results until AFTER the results from the emergency vet we took him to two weeks later had sent their results to them. They ignored all my input we gave the vet & told us we were wrong . A simple script is f antibiotic , which is what we suggested was all he needed, however they insisted the preliminary tests showed he required strong steroids. Now, after 2 weeks on them, we are looking at at least one, possibly a second necessary surgery, castration & he is now lame and can no longer compete in Field Trials ( after 8 years of training & competitions.)
Experiencia negativa: We brought our family dog biscuit to Country Vet, Wilmington NC three days ago because he was limping, they stated it could be his paw and sent us home with medications. The next day he was yelping and other symptoms formed (not eating or drinking, yelping and not wanting to use the bathroom) , we went back the next day and did an x-ray, they stated nothing was wrong with the paw from the X-ray, stated it could possibly be his teeth and suggested a teeth cleaning. They sent us home with one more medication. When checking out, the front desk girls were coloring their coloring books (unprofessional) and over charged my mother's card three times. Since when is it okay to color while at work? We didn't even see the vet or the X-rays just spoke to the Vet tech. No blood work was done either. Today our dog was rushed to the emergency vet and rushed right in (once they looked at him they knew he was having issues because his gums were blue and the way his teeth were and his breathing) and was told he has congestive heart failure and if he makes it through the next 12 hours it will be a miracle. How didn't the doctor at this vet hear it in his heart while doing his exam? The vet even looked at his teeth and gums. The doctors at the emergency vet looked at him and asked if we knew if he had that and then proceeded with tests that confirmed it. I have recently heard a similar situation happening at this vet with a friend's dog, but the dog had a UTI and wasn't tested for it, was brought to the emergency vet the next day and passed away. I am disgusted with this vet and the unprofessional staff members. I believe this is negligence and if they would have correctly examined my dog or referred us to the emergency vet he would have been in a better situation. I am not one to complain or write bad reviews but this one hit home. As pet owners you should really reconsider taking your dog to this vet.
Experiencia fantástica: My 9 year old Border collie/lab mix had her first wellness exam at Country Vet which was needed in order to refill her heart worm medication. She has received all of her shots and care at Country Vet since we adopted her at 6 months. The visit was better than I expected in that I really liked the doctor. I am a senior and can't recall his name. He was very attentive, spent a lot of time focused on her. Answered all of my questions and validated my thoughts that she is very healthy and doing well. He spent a good bit of time and his a very calm and attentive doctor who you can see he really loves dogs and what he does. I highly recommend!
Experiencia fantástica: I had a wonderful experience this morning for an urgent care visit. I saw Dr Silos he was knowledgeable and very caring. He also noticed I had a scheduled visit in a few weeks and went ahead and did all of his routine things that needed to be done for his annual during the urgent care visit. Saves me time and money. I always have a nice experience when I go. Would def recommend to others.
Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately yesterday was my last day here. I second everyone that the clinic has completely changed since it was bought out. I used to come every two weeks to get my pup's nails trimmed and she has always done great because they let me in the room with her. I warned the vet tech Sophie that my dog doesn't do well without me because of her separation anxiety. Sophie didn't take my warning seriously and proceeded to do her heartworm test, attempt a nail trim, and didn't warn the doctor so he did her entire physical without me. She got my dog SO worked up that she couldn't catch her breath and she was shaking until we got home. Like I said, I used to come every two weeks and my dog was great and would always leave happy. I don't know what happened back there, but I would not trust Sophie with your dog.
Experiencia negativa: The last interaction I had with this vet left a foul taste in my mouth. I noticed a bump on my kittens leg and immediately called to get an appointment. Usually they are booked out for at least a month but the receptionist I spoke to told me there was a cancellation and I could take their spot. So I show up to the appointment that was supposed to be scheduled and was informed that the receptionist I spoke with never set the appointment. As a result I had to visit the emergency vet and costed me $100 more for just the exam fee. I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated. Nobody could even work up the nerve to tell me sorry.
Experiencia fantástica: I've been using this office for years for my dogs and cats! The staff are amazing and very understanding, from check-in to check-out the entire process is organized and efficient! I also love you don't have to make an appointment for vaccinations, so that helps so much. Not to mention their prices are SO fair. I highly recommend!
Experiencia negativa: You are talking this place up way way too much. Are they nice? Yes are they knowledgeable? Depends on who you talk to. But that about it . There is no customer service at all. No one ever ever answers the phone they say oh well we respond to. Well I guess if they feel like it they will answer the text . For the most part their customer service is nonexistent. I am always dealing with some kind of crap , weather it’s them canceling a surgery appointment for the 3rd time or getting the medicine you need when you need it . Their pharmacy is just as bad.
Experiencia negativa: The change of ownership changed the facilities entire experience from making an appointment to prices. We've brought our pets here for years and to have to basically start over as a new patient is frustrating to say the least. Not to mention the blatant disrespect is terrible. Dr Al is phenomenal and is about the only reason I continue to go here. I wish I had better things to say. I think the corporation that bought the name and office is the reason behind all the negative changes. I can only hope it gets better.
Experiencia negativa: We used to love taking our dogs to this vet but since ownership has changed it hasn’t been the same. Staff was not very nice nor acted like they even liked animals and their new policies make it extremely hard for me and my pets. Regardless we have taken our business to Lanvale Aninal Hospital in Leland and they are amazing!
Experiencia negativa: Sadly, I am going to be the one to say that this place has TOTALLY changed since Dr. Dan left and sold his practice. The girls in the front can be pretty moody, the girls in the back can be rude for sure and they say they still do walk ins for nail trims, but I went and was denied because they were "short staffed." I waited a week, and today, called before loading 5 dogs in the car to go there for services. I inquired about the nail trims and I was denied last week due to them being short staffed. The woman I spoke to said no, they had people there today and that I could bring them. Load everyone in the car and I get there and they turned me away AGAIN. I said I purposely called and was told that I could bring them. They did not care. Some girl in the back came out and was being rude and trying to give me excuses even though I was told to come there. What is most annoying is that you can hear laughing and carrying on in the back, so there is definitely people back there and I was told there were. The female that came up was very rude and to top it off, they gave my youngest her first and second set of distemper vaccinations, as well as a complete physical examination, also having her paperwork with her DOB on it, and her third and final set was due Monday, but because of the holiday, I went today and they took her in the back and it took a while, they came back out and said the Vet said he looked at her teeth and she is only 9 weeks old and cannot have her third set of shots. He is the same one who did the second set, but couldn't do the third? Made no sense whatsoever and they have been the rudest bunch of people I have dealt with under the name of A Country Vet. One Vet Dr. Silas who was there at some point took care of my pup when she scratched her eyeball. He was extremely caring and kind and even followed up with me calling me to make sure she was doing better. He was very, very kind and caring and I was very happy. He was not there, and I was told I could not talk to this other Vet who did her second set of shots but refused to do the last set. The only person who even gave any kind of interest in today's visit was Kevin. He was very professional and very kind and he worked with me and the manager and none of us could see why this Vet did this refusal. So this is the second time they flat out refused services to my dogs even though I have been going to Country Vet since it was down on Market in 2010 all by itself and just Dr. Dan. I am so sorry that he left and this place has changed so much, it is just disappointing having to move 6 dogs into the care of someone else after 14 years. They may be affordable, but I take care of my dogs and if they refuse vaccinations, like distempers, rabies, etc. what good are they? If they are short staffed, they need to designate one day to nail trims, or just stop them altogether. Ridiculous.
Experiencia negativa: If I could rate 0 stars I would…. I waited over a month for an appt here and am new to the area. I had no idea they were in an area with such heavy traffic so unfortunately we were right at 9 mins late. Never did they tell me prior to my appt that there was a strict 10 min policy but even if that is the case, I was there before the 10 mins was up. Their customer service here is absolutely horrendous and I will be finding a new vet in the area. Not to mention I had my 3 year old son with me and there was no grace after driving over 45 mins to get here. Cheaper prices isn’t worth the pretentious customer service attitude that they have here. If you’re going to have a policy, inform new patients before their appt and most importantly, follow the policy to a T and not pick and choose when you want to. 9 mins isn’t ten mins
Experiencia fantástica: They are awesome! Heather, in the pharmacy, has really helped me via text with refills and questions on prescriptions. The front reception area can be extremely busy, but they have always done their best and been friendly and helpful. I also appreciate Dr Al, as he has worked with our family to keep our 15 year old dog comfortable. Oh, I appreciate being able to bring my animals around lunch time for their shots without having to have a set appt. The technicians that retrieve the animals for their shots are wonderful too!
Experiencia fantástica: A Country Vet is VERY affordable compared to other Vet Clinics. I appreciate them offering affordable pet-care so my lil man can always get the care he needs when he needs it :)
Experiencia negativa: I would leave zero stars if there was an option! I have an elderly dog that I waited for a whole month for an appointment at a Country Vet in Wilmington, North Carolina. My elderly dog possibly has cancer in his mouth and has a growth that we are very worried about and I had waited a whole month to see this vet because they have more reasonable pricing. Apparently Their lower prices definitely are made up by their poor customer service !! However, on the day of my appointment as I drove all the way across my town to my appointment I ran into a small bit of traffic so I called their office to let them know I would be running just a few minutes late, but then I was on the way. The lady on the phone politely told me that that was OK as long as I was there within 10 minutes of my appointment time so I said OK and hung up and quickly tried to get there as quickly as possible. I walk in their office right at 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment that I let them know I was running late for. And the girl at the front desk proceeded to tell me that she needed to go ask the doctor if they would see me. I politely told her that I called and they said as long as I was there within the 10 minute window I was OK and I was but when she came back from talking to the doctor, he had said that he would not take the appointment for my elderly dog that I had to wait a whole month for the appointment… I proceeded to let the girl at the front desk know that was ridiculous and apparently the doctor said that I had to be there in less than 10 minutes so I guess if I had walked in 60 seconds earlier, they would’ve seen me and she said yes! this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. I will not be back to this Vet and I would caution anybody else not to go to this Vet especially Dr. Silos because customer service is lacking! I understand that I was late however I did call and I arrived and the amount of time that the receptionist told me to arrive in and they still Denied my appointment. Dr. Silos needs to work on his customer service and also the communication in his office because the receptionist should be letting people know, especially if they have enough respect to call and let them know that they are running late which I did some people don’t even do that… That when I called They should’ve just let me know that they were not gonna be able to see me if I was late and I could’ve turned around and gone back home they aren’t on the same page. The receptionist is telling me one thing and the doctor is saying another… And this is all because a matter matter of one minute apparently this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a veterinary office. !!!
Experiencia negativa: This place is absolutely the most unprofessional vets office I have ever been to. The most recent issue I have is that they lost my dog's blood work. So now my dog who gets really stressed at the vet has to go back again to have blood drawn. But not at this place. Two separate vets told me my dog had two separate conditions in her eyes. One of the vets said she had cataracts and the other vet said she didn't she had something else and showed me why. The people who run the front counter couldn't care less if you were there. One vet tech in particular clearly has little regard for humans and is only an "animal" person.
Experiencia negativa: not going there because of their ten minute late rule - that I did not know about - I was ten minutes late with my registration paperwork and a bag of poop on a stormy day and the front desk was not going to see her after I had to wait over three weeks to get her in - patience and toleration is the key It was raining and my husband came home from work to make it easier for me. Thank You but you must be entirely too busy for me anyway. Remember I am your customer - work with me ??? Never going back.
Experiencia fantástica: I am always so happy with ACVC. I have recommended them to so many people throughout the years! They always take immaculate care of my little man and I never feel rushed. Forever a client!
Experiencia negativa: It was a quick in and out for a distemper shot. I asked to talk to the vet as I had a couple of questions outside of just the shot and the front desk lady goes “umm typically we don’t allow that”. Ok so I paid for a check up and the front desk lady will walk back and ask the vet for me… I’ve heard this USE to be a good practice but it makes sense why it’s been getting bad reviews as of lately. It feels dirty when you go inside and you can tell the vets don’t spend hardly any time diagnosing and treating. Take your furry friends elsewhere.
We are sorry for any miscommunication on our part. When a pet goes back for a vaccine, a client is only charged for the vaccine--allowing clients to save money. We see your pet has an appointment here next week. At that time, your pet will get a thorough examination and you will have ample opportunity to discuss your pet's health with the doctor.
Experiencia negativa: It has been a month since I had to euthanize my dog at "A Country Veterinarian," and I feel compelled to share an awful experience I had with DVM Christian Kalwa. On one of the worst days of my life, this insecure little man caused me a lot of grief. My dog was close to 16, at a time most large dogs are very close to death. He was almost deaf and blind, was relieving himself in my house, could no longer walk upstairs, and more - things we all associate with the end of a dog's life. I knew it was time. When Kalwa walked into the room he started scolding me, telling me had I had a number of procedures done that I could have avoided all this. yes, he said this. He also stated, and I quote: "Age is just a number," with the strong implication being that the fact my dog was 16 had nothing to do with him being near death. Well Kalwa, AGE IS MORE THAN JUST A NUMBER. Large dogs such as mine around the age of 16 are ALL near death. Kalwa is a vicious little man who chose to hammer the theme: "Had I just spent more money............." Under normal circumstances I know exactly how to handle pathetic, bad people like this. But at that moment I could not, and did not say much accept to let him know I disagreed with everything he said. But he kept repeating that phrase over and over: "age is just a number." So we did the shot and my dog is now playing in heaven. It was a death as painful as any I have experienced of the human kind. I will cherish the memory of my dog, but sadly I will always have the memory of Kalwa! I wish I could just get it out of my head. The only bright spot was the vet tech I dealt with. Very kind and helpful.
Experiencia negativa: If I could this office a 0/10 stars I most certainly would. Ultimately, they are the reason my dog died out of nowhere. We took him in the first morning to be looked at/checked out and they said they didn't see anything wrong after we explained what had been going on, so then I took him in the next day after 3 days of him acting weird, not eating, not being himself. We saw the vet for 45 mins, they gave him some fluids said he was acting weird and sent us on our way. That same night we ended up taking him to the animal hospital be his breathing got extremely slow.. we go there within 10 mins they are able to tell us exactly what was wrong but that it was caught too late and he isn't going to make it. If they would've just tried a little bit that morning he would most likely still be alive because what was wrong could have been fixed with some medications. The first day he started acting weird and not eating I called the vet to make an appointment and they scheduled me an appointment for THREE weeks out after I told them he had not been eating at all and drinking very little. I would highly recommend to NEVER take your sick dog to this vet. There was so much negligence!! I paid over $300 for them to tell me there was something wrong but they couldn't tell what it was and then he later died. They might be on the cheaper side of vets but they do not care about your animals!!
Experiencia negativa: Probably one of the craziest things i've ever heard. My wife brings in our dogs for their shots that were due and asked the vet to take a look at one of their ears. vet stated his ears are red and irritated, but cannot look into it further or write a prescription without an appointment specific for his ears?!?. Next available is in July. This vet does not mind an animal suffering for a month instead of just giving my wife some meds for him or even referring her to another vet. Not big into leaving reviews, but this is something i thought the public would want to know.
We apologize for any miscommunication on our part. We offer urgent care visits every morning on a first-come, first-served basis. We certainly do not want a pet to suffer which is why these same-day appointments are available. They do fill up fast, however. Again, we apologize if this was not explained to your wife.
Experiencia fantástica: Well let me say this .My heart is so full finding this vet for my dog who has seazers. I'm beyond happy for the great service I received for Dr.Silos and vet tech Elizabeth. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Prices are great as well.Thay love the pets not just for money. Sweet ladies at front desk as well.
Experiencia negativa: Went there today to get my dogs nails trimmed. They do not take appointments for this just walk in first come first serve. When I checked in I was told it might be a 20 minute wait. 45 minutes later I asked if we would be seen soon. The receptionist response to me was there are still people ahead of us. I said ok, but you told me 20 minutes 45 minutes ago. Her next response, is the first part of why I will never go back. She said she does not control what goes on in the back. No apology offered, just that response. Very unprofessional response in my opinion. The 2nd reason I will never go back probably is the best reason. They overdosed my friends dog on meds, & offered no apology then either. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. At best they will waste your time. At worst, they will kill your dog/pet.
Experiencia positiva: Wait time was acceptable. Loved the tech that came in for the initial rundown, I wish I had asked her name. I appreciate the thoroughness and the options the vet offers, with no judgment on your decision. I like not being forced into care and given the choice. I appreciate the continued care with my senior dog! Edited to add After years with the office, having an absolute love for the Vets, pharmacy staff, and assistants and techs, i am continuisly disappointed with the receptionist staff. I made an appointment specifically asking for a certain Vet, show up for the appointment, and that vet wasn't even working that day. The receptionists are lacking customer service skills and kindness. I've always felt that I'm an inconvenience to the various receptionists. I know receptionist can be a taxing job dealing with people non stop, but i never leave happy after any interactions with them, no matter how kind i am.
Experiencia fantástica: My German Shepherd and I had a great experience at this vet! Really nice staff, fast service, and really good pricing for the services!
Experiencia negativa: I debated about how to begin with this review but after several conversations with locals who have come here for years and have left, I have ultimately decide to leave one. First, I called multiple times in the month of February prior to my cats rabies renewal to find out whether or not I needed to make an appointment. After leaving a voicemail that was left unanswered after 24 hours I tried two more times during the same week and finally got someone. After getting the necessary information, I asked would they be willing to provide my cat with a prescription because she is extremely difficult to get into the crate. I was then turned down (my cat has been coming here for years since I adopted her) and was told to buy something over the counter (I tried that and it didn’t work). Now let’s fast forward to 3/14/2024 to when I was finally able to get time off to take my cat to the vet. When I got there, the lobby was empty around midday and I easily got her set up to get the rabies vaccine, felineaway, and a nail trim. A lady comes from the back and takes the crate (the first time I have been here without leaving my cats side ever). I didn’t even get a moments opportunity to sit for 5 minutes before I was asked to pay and given my cat back to me in her crate. Fast and easy right? I thought that too before I made my way down the road to grabbed a bite to eat. I glanced back at my cat only to have her aggressively panting and drool running down her mouth. I panicked like any pet parent would do and turned up the air in the car thinking that it was just too hot in the car. Immediately made a u-turn to get home when it got progressively worse. My cat began to meow frantically and I asked my dad to call the vet back to see if I needed to swing back by (you all know how hard it is to try and drive down Market). Guess what happened? No one picked up. I called from my phone and his phone at least 4 more times. But wait— something EVEN BETTER happened! My cat proceeded to desecrate in her crate. I bet you can believe the awesome experience I had cleaning it when I got her home. Suffice to say, I will be looking elsewhere. It shouldn’t be that hard to pick up a phone or return a phone call. I called 2 of your competitors and I got them to pick up within two rings. You guys have slowly been getting away with not having consistent customer service and a level of excellence that keeps pet parents coming back. This is not the same vet as when I first came here and that’s sad to see. Pet parents be warned, next time it could be your pet to.
Experiencia negativa: I debated even writing this, but having been a vet tech for years previously I just needed to share my experience today. I've taken my Yorkie here 2-3 times when we moved back to the area and they were close to my house. The first time was ok, had a really nice vet that was thorough and had a great personality. The front desk however is never really welcoming, very short and dry and today was the same, I'm the only one in the waiting room, one girl was slumped over the desk huffing out loud about how tired she was (it's 9:30am) and she is just taking selfies... the other girl has zero personality and her gigantic vape pen the size of my hand is in arms reach on the counter. There is a woman checking out with her senior pet and she is trying to schedule a dental, the receptionist informs her she will need blood work before hand closer to the appointment, the lady states she just had a full senior panel today and wouldn't have done that if she needed more blood work closer to the appointment. The office seems disconnected, unprofessional and no communication. The reason for my visit was also to schedule a dental, as my pup was having pain and bleeding, my tech today was very sweet and thorough then I proceeded to wait in the room for the vet long enough that I honestly thought they forgot about me. I never got a straight answer about the urgency of the situation from the vet, just told me yeah he would recommend a dental cleaning in the near future and when they do dentals. Upon checkout she gave me my balance and no discussion of scheduling a future appointment was mentioned or brought up from the reception so I just paid and left. I just got a feeling I was just a number and I had to do all the questions and talking. I did not get a good enough vibe to have them continuing care of my senior dog.
Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely love the vets at A Country Veterinarian! They really take time with your furbaby and thoroughly explain everything. If further treatment, prescriptions or follow up is needed - all is gone over completely also. I highly recomend the veterinarian services at A Country Veterinarian.
Experiencia negativa: Extremely disappointed. Been going to them for several years. Never an issue; however, a newer, young vet we met this week may have had an off day. This made us leave due to his bed side manner and his condescending presence. He seemed more interested in giving our dog a dental cleaning. Regardless, we switched vets that day and had to have our dog euthanized today. I hate I can give them a high score of "1". Young man, learn and listen. Take time to hear the message and not just the words.
Experiencia fantástica: Been to a lot of vets all over the East coast. The professionals at the country vet are not only compassionate and empathetic but practical. They tell you what you will be paying for give you options and explain what you may pay for down the road based on those options. On top of all that they are amazingly affordable. As someone who works in tech I have never actually left a review online, but I was so overwhelmed by their service that I needed to. Really wish every vet was this amazing!
Experiencia fantástica: Love Dr Al , but all the vets are great!
Experiencia fantástica: Our dog was in a lot of pain. Went to the walk-in clinic at 8:00 a.m. got in within 10 minutes. Doctor was very kind and patient and did not try to overtreat my dog.
Experiencia fantástica: They really know how to handle my dog. He is a Beast. Good service, by the way, his name is Beast.
Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my kitty cats to Dr Dan Wilson for many years now! He is definitely one of the best vets I've ever had. Very caring and attentive to what he does. I highly recommend him and his staff!!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Dan is absolutely the most caring gentle vet that we have experienced. My Frenchie - Willow - loves seeing him. We have also seen other vets equally as kind. All the staff down to the pharmacy show kindness and my calls/texts are responded to timely. Willow has had surgery to be fixed and her nasal passages opened for better breathing. My pups skin condition and allergies have been treated well and she lives a more comfortable life because of Country Vet! Thank you - Rebecca
Experiencia negativa: I went here to get my dogs nails done while having an office visit. They don’t tell u if ur puppy is to playful & they don’t clip his nails u still pay for it? I asked to have the price deducted but no one ever called me back. I don’t appreciate being charged for something u Never did. That’s a grift if there ever was one. People come here to save $, not to be charged for a service not rendered.
We are sorry you were not satisfied with your visit. Nail trims are complimentary with an exam and you were only charged for an exam. We were unable to perform the nail trim because your dog was nipping at staff and you would not allow us to use restraint or a muzzle.
Experiencia fantástica: We were apprehensive to get our Sammy neutered but Chole and the staff on the day of surgery made my experience less stressful. Post surgery, the follow-up instructions were quite clear and we even got his fleas gone too! Thank you for everything and we will see you in less than two weeks for our follow-up.
Experiencia fantástica: Extremely friendly and welcoming service from everyone. The receptionist, doctor and vet assistant were all excellent. I came in for an ongoing skin rash issue, as well as some flea issues that I was not able to eradicate with topical treatment. Dr. Alan was great in steering me in the right direction with how to handle it, and the assistant, Chloe, went out of her way to help save me money on 2 flea treatments being that neither of my dogs have used it before. Definitely will be using this office moving forward, extremely affordable!
